Yummi’s Cuisine is now Rice N Spice.
We specialize in serving Thai, Laos, Vietnamese, Hmong, and Chinese food to the community. We are trying to add new menu every month.
I actually LOVE this place and this place is so underrated. Their papaya is on point for flavor and the best in town. Love their basil fried rice, chicken wings, kapoon is also good too. They could tweak out their pad Thai and pad see ew dishes more as it was lacking flavor and soggy from the sauce tho. But overall this is one of the top Hmong restaurants on my list.
Update: Pad see ew did not disappoint as it had so much flavor. I ordered lo mein for my kids and tried it, now iam addicted. The lo mein is by far one of the best I’ve had and yea way better than any of the lo meins I’ve had. The pho doesn’t taste bland like all the other restaurants. I love bold flavors and they delivered just that. Generous portions with a solid menu. Thank you so much! I will be visiting more often! 🥰
Had food delivered. It was deliver quickly. The food was hot. Very delicious. A little disappointed that the shrimp tails were not taken off. Other than that I enjoyed the food. We will visit the restaurant in the future
Absolutely incredible food and lovely folks! We called in the last 15 mins they were open and they were so accommodating to make food for us. We order beef thai fried rice, Pad see ew with beef, and Thai spicy noodles. I’ve eat quite a lot of these dishes around the US and this was absolutely top notch. We ordered for pick up, I can’t speak much to the atmosphere but it was very simple. If what matters to you is great food and wonderful service, this can’t be beat!
Great service n wish them success but food bit underwhelming. Questionable re-visit.
Papaya salad- 7/10. Has lil more padek funk than used to but still easily best dish on visit
Pho- odd dark broth and very underflavored. Portion size ok. 5/10.
Spicy thai noodles- not spicy but not bad. Very little meat though. 6/10.
Best Asian food La Crosse has to offer. Started going here for the Thai spicy noodles because they are my favorite. Recently I have been switching it up and haven’t had one bad thing yet. Their red curry & pork belly pad kra pow were amazing. Today I decided to do their chicken stir fry ramen noodles and chicken wings with the spicy sauce on the side (pictured in this review). Both entrees were excellent. Also you won’t find crispier wings in town, probably my new favorite wings. They were perfection and the spicy sauce is a must. Definitely give this place a try.
Great testing food, friendly people.

I love spicy noodles and wow. When you ask for spicy they bring the HEAT, the flavor is amazing too! Boba Tea is on point.
I love the food, I drive from Tomah, and call to place an order, but they don't answer the phone.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I've been twice, and both times the service was quick and the food was amazing for a low price! 😁❤️
Very good pho. Amazing broth.
Spicy noodles were very tasty.
No veggies served with 2 dishes we ordered. Pork belly overdone, no seasoning. The side sauce for wings and pork belly was amazing. Best dish though was the $5 potato tornado. No ambiance, lacks decor. We will try again.
Great portion and menus are delicious! Go support them if you are in LaCrosse! All their food is made from fresh ingredients. My kids really enjoyed the crab ran-goons and pad se ew. I loved the papaya salad. Always so refreshing.

Rice and Spice is our go-to spot for lunch and they have such a great selection. Noodles, curry, soup, and great appetizers.
Having moved from a large city where I had a dozen choices within a ten minute drive. I was hoping La Crosse would have something good.
Rice and Spice is the something good we found. Since we found this place we no longer say "remember ... That place was so good." We have a place that is so good we went back again in the same week we first stopped in.
Simply the best. They're fast at preparing the food and you get plenty to eat with reasonable prices. I have to order from them at least once a month.
Great service n wish them success but food bit underwhelming. Questionable re-visit.

This review is for people like me who have moved to the area and who have struggled to find good quality food. It pains me to write that Noodles and Company has a better Pad Thai than this place. What I got here definitely came from a pre-made box or package. Same with my boyfriend's curry. I have definitely given up on trying to find a decent restaurant in the area and will save my eating out for when I take a trip.
The food tastes amazing and fresh. It's probably my favorite restaurant in town. The portions and prices are good too.
Have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. Personal spicy favorites: pork belly w/sticky rice, papaya salad (Lao style), Thai spicy noodle, green curry. Close to the university for convenience & have seen plenty of customers stop in for pickup/takeout. Dine-in seating is limited, but smartly arranged. Free street parking & can vary, as it depends on if you find a spot out front of the restaurant or around the neighborhood. 5/5.
Ordered a ban mi sandwich and they said they were out of them. Then a group of people came in after us and they ordered a few of those sandwiches and they got them........how are you going to tell people you're out of something then someone who comes in afterwards orders it and gets it.
I loved the food and plan to return. My only complaint is that this restaurant gets cold in the winter when people open the front door.
Crazy delicious food. Don't be put off by the lackluster appearance. The staff are nice and the chef is magic. I had the spiral potato for an appetizer - so yummy and crispy. The chicken win appetizer is huge! Yummy curry as well. Highly recommend.
Dishes are very tasty, and affordable. Definitely put this on your La Crosse visit you will not be disappointed.
Amazing food! Amazing prices! Some of the best food I've had in the area. No joke.

Nice people, good food. Would make it out of my way to come back again
They had some good and the best food.
Food was 👏 amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. Table service wasn't great (forgotten silverware, had to ask for beverages), but the dining room was clean and staff was friendly.
I live right down the street from this place and it’s very convenient. I love the food—they also have bubble teas, which isn’t my thing, but my friends enjoyed it!
Overall food and customer service was great. I am only giving it a four because unfortunately and I'm very sorry to say this but the banhmi is a no go. I can go into detail but i won't. I don't want to be ignorant or be a "this is how it should be" because I'm using my Asian card complainer. But at 7 dollars a sandwich (which I think is a fair price in today's age) it should have been a little better. And maybe not use cool whip. I think you guys serve good food and do honest work. I hope you guys succeed and great location.
We got take out and the food was so very good. This might become our go to Asian food option.
Had the best asian/hmong food experience. I was very satisfied with the what I got. I ordered pho combo was so good i didn't have to add any condiments besides chili oil, beef pad thai was perfect not greasy and Lao papaya spicy was right on. I would go again
Traveled from North Carolina and I must say that was the best Thai food I have ever had! 10/10
Excelent
Thai Spicy Noodle was excellent! Can’t wait to try more! Very nice & welcoming staff. 👍🏼
Informal setting, attentive staff, good food.
This place doesn't exist.
Food was great! Still carries the Yummy sign outside, so be aware!
The noodle dish was tasty, the staff Friendly and courteous .
The Khaopoon was way too sweet, when it should be spicy and curry..this was def Hmong style Khaopoon not typical Laos/Thai style..even the Special Papaya Salad was sweet when neither dish should be sweet like that that..sugar was def put in both when tradional dishes don't use sugar..non tradional food to please the sweeter taste buds
Loved the food! Everything was reasonably priced and the proportions were pretty big. Great service also. I’ve spoken to their manager a few times and she’s very friendly and great with customer service.
I have been there a couple times and the workers are always so friendly. The food is amazing as well! Will definitely keep on going in the future!
Love eating here, this is my go-to spot! Service is great and the workers are so friendly. The food is reasonably priced especially for the quality and taste. Their boba is the best in town!
Amazing service, family friendly, clean, and the food was soooo amazing!!! The portions were family size!!! Thank you for bringing great food to the lacrosse area!!
The Pad Thai was amazing. Fantastic service too! This is a must try if you are in the area!
Party of 1, ordered pho took about 20-30 minutes to get it, way too much noodles compared to the broth... Then I ordered 1 order of spring rolls to go. A family of 4 walk in, they ordered and got their spring rolls...I waited an additional 15 minutes for 1 order of springs rolls...wasn't pleased to spend little over an our in there for a party of 1...
Small Chinese place near the UW. None of us had been here before, so we decided to try it. Seemed to be a family run business, as we were greeted by all and were seated as soon as we walked in. We got there about an hour before they were to close. Our servers were very friendly and attentive. We went over the menu and, were able to order as soon as we decided. It took about 20 minutes for our food, but, everything was made to order and, it was worth the wait. Everything was delicious and plentiful. I wish we had a similar place where I live. Excellent.
Very nice place..food was great. Get alot to eat..service was great..friendly
Fried rice with chicken was great. Very friendly staff
The food is absolutely phenomenal!!
Incredible place to eat. Great portions, great flavor, and great price. I eat there multiple times a week with work colleagues.
Food is fine. But if your hours state you're open for lunch until 2 don't close at 1:45. We arrived at 1:50 and you said the kitchen closed at 1:45. Very disappointing.
Obsessed with the Thai spicy noodles and red curry.
Unexpected Thai / Hmong food in La Crosse. Outstanding.
Delicious food great portions, staff is attentive
Delicious food very good service.
Tried the pad kra pow with chicken. Really good flavor, and nice spice level. Good and friendly service, and the food was ready pretty quickly. Am planning to return again!
We wanted to get dine in. We called and placed our order because we knew they would be closing at 7pm, which is pretty early, and we were already on our way. Meanwhile another party walked in right after we were on the phone, and told us the cooks are tired and they won't cook our food anymore. I sure do wish I could pull this at my job, but I would lose my job. This is not acceptable. We are regulars and spend hundreds of dollars there a month. We will find somewhere else to spend our money.
This was my first time ordering here for lunch and the food was really good! I was hesitant at first about getting the spring rolls, but I'm so glad I did. I would have never thought about adding marinated chicken to it! The beef padthai was on point as well. My compliments to the chef.
Very yummy, indeed! A super cosy and quality spot right near the UWL campus. Wonderful food and drinks selection and great prices.
For a gluten-intolerant customer, tonight this restaurant refused to do any dish without using their standard sauce . How pathetically lazy is that?!
The drunken noodles / spicy noodles were insane! Delicious!
I have the red or green curry soup every time I’ve been to this place and it’s always delicious Drive 45 min one way just to enjoy it! Highly recommend!
My favorite southeast Asian place in La Crosse. Try the papaya salad!
You can't really go wrong with Pad Kra Pow and the one that Yummi's serves up is no exception. Very good portion and delicious! Glad to have stumbled across this place driving by the old Alma mater.
Thai is my favorite type of food. Easily the best Thai food in the La Crosse area. I’ve been to all of them including the one in Holmen, and this far exceeds.
Found it thru google search while visiting this area. Didn't have lot of expectations but food was fresh and authentic. Loved the flavors and quality in a small town. Would go back again with out second thought. Portion size was smaller than expected for the price point so make sure you plan accordingly.
This is the first time ordering here. We ordered a variety and everyone loved the food. We will definitely eat here again!
So good!! Green curry was amazing! We asked for extra spicy and they made it perfect! Boba was great as well.
YUMMI'S!! What a wonderful little establishment. The food is always on point, and the staff are kind, wonderful people :)
The food here was absolutely amazing! The boba tea was also extremely good. The only thing I would say that could be better is the staff's communication on how long food is going to take when they are running slow. We spent about an hour and 15 minutes waiting for dine-in food.
great flavor with good portion sizes and fair prices. I recommend the red or green curry.
The food was great. My wife declared the pad Thai some of her favorite ever. The Thai spicy noodles were excellent (and very spicy).
Update: We order from here regularly. Everything we've had is great. Now my wife's favorite is the pad se ew. The curry is on the spicy side, but it's excellent.
The food tastes great and definitely fills my cravings. The workers are also very kind and friendly.
If you are in a hurry this might not be the best choice for you. Each dish is made to order and it shows! The food is excellent & authentic!
It's nothing like so many other places in town that offer some Americanized version, not that there is anything wrong with that. I just far prefer the real deal. I only regret not taking some photos to share with my review.
Best Thai food in the area, hands down! So delicious. I could eat their spicy pad Thai and curry every day.
This place is amazing! I've been trying to find good Hmong cuisine here because the other places have just been average. I tried the signature red curry recently for delivery and loved it! It was still nice and hot when it got to me. The spice level is perfect and includes many add ins unlike other places that taste too sweet and have basic veggies. Their prices are pretty good and affordable. I would recommend this place over other Hmong restaurants in town and will be trying other items soon!
Delicious food, friendly attentive service!
Delicious! Ordered online for pickup and order was ready at the right time and very hot. The green curry and spicy Thai noodles were amazing! Super flavorful and fresh tasting with a nice amount of heat (which we asked for). Definitely looking forward to eating Yummi's Cuisine again soon!
We had takeout. The place was full when I arrived (a good sign) our order was ready. The staff was polite. We ordered chicken fried rice and the pad ka know (sp.?) Either way just call it delicious! The flavor was so amazing. We plan on dining in next! Pics to come!
Honestly one of the best places to get authentic Thai food
Absolutely delicious! It’s so wonderful to have actually spicy food with complex flavor and depth. I cannot wait to return! Top tier for the LAX area!!
Yum! All I can say is you need to try the Pad Thai. The noodles are cooked perfectly, right amount of sauce, sweet, salty, tangy. Just straight up balanced. The flavors are real and sincere. Perfect for a hardy lunch while studying for finals or after a long drive. Will return to try other items on their menu!
Have eaten here several times. Everyone leaves full and the food is reasonably priced for portions. The food is fresh and yummy. The staff is accommodating of all requests.
I had the Red Curry. It was amazing! If you want it really spicy, be sure to ask. Waitstaff was incredible, highly recommended!
The green curry chicken with white rice is the best you can find in Lacrosse. I highly recommend it if you like Thai food.
No service! Need to hire a server!
We absolutely love Yummi’s. Always incredibly friendly service, take out orders are on time and hot. The food is incredible. Honestly some of the best Thai food I’ve had in the US. Check it out!!
It was good service and woundful food.
Just got it delivered on eat street and it exceeded my expectations! So good!!
Great service and great food! It was Yummi!
If your looking for authentic Hmong food that isn't overpriced, you'll enjoy this location! I often stop by here with co-workers for lunch and dinner. The team of waitresses and waiters are very pleasant and try to be as accommodating as they can be. A few weeks ago, I had order out at 6:41pm and the restaurant closes at 7:00pm. They still were willing to make my order and allow me to pick it up.
Their pad thai, fried rice, pork belly, and pho taste delicious & are items I'd often order!
Been going to the a&w for over 40 years and good food great root beer awesome Cooks and waitresses or wait staff political correctness not my best suit
Great food & great services!
The food was great. Service was good.
Pork Belly w/ sticky rice on point! Pork had perfect amount of fat and meat ratio! Delicious! Papaya Salad was spicy and crunchy! My wife loved the chicken fried rice! If your missing tournament (New Year) food this is the place to go!
Finally a place that makes good pad see ew! I tried them out for the 1st time today and it was so good! I'm normally disappointed with the Thai around this area, but this place was great. Can't wait to try more of their food next time. Very clean establishment too.
The food was so delicious... Pad Thai, pork belly, spring rolls, and bubble teas. :)
Wonderful food, polite staff. Best pad Thai I have had in a long time. Can't wait to go back and try even more
Food was very good but portions were so small for $ paid ,I mean come on its rice and noodles containers weren't even 1/2 full ,spent $70. 00 and 3 of us only got one spoon full of fried rice and the same with the noodle dishes ,definatly no leftovers
I ordered online and was disappointed to find out that after an hour later, when I came in to pick up my food, they never started on my order. I was told it would take another 30 mins, which originally is the time they give you when you order online. The excuse they gave me was that they were too busy so they never called me and plus they had a large $200 order for 5pm. I came in at around 2:45pm.
I asked for a refund and left. This place needs to be more organized and if you can't handle online orders, don't do online orders! Or at least call your customers to know that it'll take 1.5hrs instead of 30 mins!
Very bad service, we were seated and out order was taken, 20mins after ordering one of our dish came out, 10 mins later another dish came out again. Long story short we had a big group and we pretty sat down watching one person eat it a time. Waiter never came to check in us or apologize for the slow service, the waiter never came to refill our waters. Food was a little under decent, out of all the dishes we order fried rice was probably the best. Will not recommended to anyone.
I tried the green curry, and it was delicious and very spicy! The rice that came with it was cooked perfectly.
I ordered the #10 Thai noodle with shrimp on EatStreet delivery and my food came so perfectly hot, which was a pleasant surprise because it took a decently long trip across town.
Best noodle dish I've had in a long time, everything was perfect. Thankyou!
This place is absolutely incredible. Big and complex flavors, well packaged, generous portions, and superb attention to detail.
The pho is better than others I’ve had in bigger markets. The broth is packaged separately from all the other fixings and incredibly rich and complex. In addition to the noodles, jalapeño, basil, bean sprouts, and lime, you also get little containers with Thai chili flake, hoisin/sriracha mix, chili/garlic oil, and peanuts! Love it!
Pad Thai was also excellent- I’m not usually a fan because it can get a little sweet, but this was perfectly balanced, less sweet, and very flavorful. Beef/broccoli stir fry was the same, just a little more complexity than what you might find at a local Chinese restaurant. (I will say beware if you ask for medium spice, which I like, personally, but may be pushing it for some!)
Another highlight was the papaya salad. If you’ve never tried this, do it! Big, bold and incredibly delicious dressing; umami central with spicy sweet/sour/salty/fishy flavors, crunchy peanut and green beans as well as tomatoes..some of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying!
This is a newer restaurant, and I hope they find the community support that their food deserves. We are truly fortunate to have a place like Yummi’s in the area- I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!
Formerly MC Cuisine. New owners new name: Yummi's. It was indeed yummy! Service was great also. Worth a try they seem to be putting a lot of effort into this
New Great Thai Food in La Crosse! Have not had this great of Thai food since we lived in a bigger city.
Great Covid Precautions and very nice staff.
