Had a family dinner here and it did not disappoint. All the flavors and spices that I was looking for is on point. Thai fried rice is flavorful yet not greasy. Beef is tender with excellent texture and taste. The ambiance of the restaurant is super neat, almost the same as you can find in a hotel. Staff are attentive with friendly service. There is also an ample parking area. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience.
Lemongrass has a beautiful interior that’s super clean and comes with great and friendly service. However, I wasn’t too impressed by the two dishes I tried. The peanut “prawns” were ok, but were almost certainly regular shrimp and not actually prawns. Taste and appearance was definitely more of a regular shrimp, but the sauce wasn’t bad. And the beef Pad Thai was remarkably average at best - it was a good spice level but had a thick film of oil it seemed like. The dish was super saturated in what I believe was a thick pile of vegetable oil. Usually Pad Thai isn’t so thickly coated throughout in cooking oil. I took a pic for the review to show what it looked like gathering in the corner of the plate.
This is not Thai food, first of all. The red curry has no curry flavor so when I asked for more curry paste the cook brought me a bowl with fish sauce and chili powder- no kefir lime, lemongrass, just a thin liquid. Heaven beef was vinegary and just not good. Service was very slow and she admitted that Thai people don’t like it because it’s not Thai. If you are ok with just trying a dish of some sort then maybe you’ll like it and the restaurant is pretty and nicely decorated. Wouldn’t go back. For $20 an entree is should be excellent, not sub-par.
The food is consistently delicious no matter what menu item. The service is fast, sometimes too fast. Because the building is small they really should consider taking out at least 1 table to help relieve the cramped feeling.
I was so looking forward to eating here. The food wasn't bad.... but I wouldn't say it was good either. The curry was so strong with oyster sauce it made it hard to eat. It was so strong all I could smell was oyster. I understand it being a part of the dish but to be all that I could taste was not appetizing. I had also requested medium heat and my food had NO heat at all. I paid almost $60 and unfortunately was not satisfied 😒 😔
Consistency is the key. Lemongrass doesn't let you down. What appears to be an older building from the outside is a hidden gem filled with amazing food.
I've been to Tumwater and Lacey locations and their food is consistent between both sites.
Today I went with my family and a friend. We ordered Yellow Curry, Pad Thai, Thai Fried rice, and egg rolls.
The egg rolls were a perfect appetizer to start with. Cook to perfection, the crisp was amazing. They were served with a tasty sauce for dipping.
The curry was served with white rice, and is the best curry I've ever tasted. Perfect flavoring.
Pad Thai was also a very good dish, it does have nuts but it complimented the flavor perfectly.
Lastly, the Thai Fried rice we ordered with beef and was to die for!
If you're looking for some amazing eats, drop by!
I'm adding photos from our visit.

We were a huge group and they really handled it well. Yummy food and great service.
I'd give it six stars if I could! Eat here way too often. Service is always great. Food is among the best Thai food in Olympia. And prices are reasonable. I've had most dishes but seven flavored beef is beyond delicious and I can't stay away from it.
Worst Beef Pad Thai I’ve ever had. Ordered to go and couldn’t even have the appetite to eat. Dried beef, dried hard noodles. I threw it away.

We gad a great experience! Food and service was terrific. Definitely going back.

One of my favorite places to eat in the Olympia area.
Everything was perfect.Really upscale dishes. Exciting flavors excellent presentation beutiful clean dining area.Great service
I had Mongolian beef. Delicious! Generous portion.
The appetizer was wonderful, but I don't know the name. Of it.

Both dishes were ok. Would not try again.
Small quaint location fast service good food . Almond chicken was great.

Food- frozen shrimp were "prawns" were rubbery and not very tasty and extremely expensive. My wine tasted flat/off. My friend's did too. Super spendy for the food I got. No bar or well drinks. Probably wouldn't go back.
I had three orders of pad see ew and a fresh roll with tofu to go.
The fresh roll was over stuffed with noodles and one of the rolls was split. Not my favorite. But, the noodles were horrid, pasty, sticky and overabundant. Worst pad see ew I’ve ever had. The staff was very nice when I picked up my order. The price was way too high, even if the food was good. Would not recommend.
Crab Rangoons lacked filling. Very thin. Disappointing
The man who rung me out was nice. However there was a hair in my food from someone in the kitchen. They offered to remake it. I declined because I won’t be going back.
Always good food here. The almond chicken is the best in town!
Mango and shrimp salad is my dish of the year. Spicy level - 3.
Chicken pad thai was great.
Great food!
Very good food. Variety. Server was very friendly.
Yummy
Average tia food. Nice atmosphere
My favorite place to eat! The food is healthy, fresh, and delicious every time. The atmosphere and service are excellent as well.
The food was so delicious! I had the best chicken satay and curry fried rice! Sofia definitely knows how to treat clients! Thanks! We will be back!
Such a good variety of food & enough to share & take home
Atmosphere is cozy, cute, our waiter was very nice and attentive. Food is tasteless, I honestly can't believe this is considered Thai food (or even fusion) I ordered Larb Gai, there was no mint/fish sauce or cilantro.. Some greens that I couldn't identify were in the chicken and cooked. The onions were cooked.. ? lol I didn't taste any rice powder.. You can't even call it larb gai at this point. The chicken had absolutely no flavor.. (5 stars for presentation tho, it looked legit) We drive past it everyday and always see it packed and now I can't figure out why, (It's mostly the employees cars....) maybe because who ever's going there has no idea what Thai food tastes like lol I ate 1/4 of it to be nice, took the rest home, added fish sauce and it was THE ONLY FLAVOR that was present... My mom (who was visiting from another state) ordered Pad Thai and spring rolls.. the sauce for the spring rolls was a dark brown bitter, almost burnt flavor and did nothing for the spring rolls but make them tastes worse. The Pad Thai was also flavorless, basically if you went to Walmart, bought a generic bottle of Pad Thai sauce and poured in on wide noodles. For the life of me, I can't understand why this place is packed every night, my honest opinion is that they make the food for people who have no taste buds and hate spices/flavor lol (maybe Olympia/Tumwater thinks cilantro tastes like soap and no eats it ? So confused.
They have quite a few vegan options, which is nice. The curry fried rice with tofu is our fav! Such a huge portion, so we can take some home for later. :) Service is always great, too!
Always exceptional cuisine. Great staff.
Delicious food and very nice waiters! Each dish was about $20, but the portions were decently large and the food and drinks were very good.
Husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. Food was excellent and customer service was impeccable. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and excellent service.
Almond chicken was very good and service was spectacular.
It's very unique with there food choices.
The food was outstanding and our server was awesome
Just as enticing as its name! Usually only one empty table everytime I'm there. Is it your table now?
Went here for dinner. The food took a while to come out, definitely worth the wait.
There are not many Thai restaurants in this area ..this one was very expensive and food was dry and not much taste ..service was fine restaurant is clean but not worth the price .
Food is excellent but getting pricey. Can't blame them for Bidenomics.
Basic fare...does offer levels of hot...would like sizzling rice seafood soup to be offered. My pad Thai was...meh
Good service, good, food.
Always delicious and freindly!!! I think the crispy noodles may have been stale but I didn't mention it and this has never happened before. We're semi-regulars😊
I ordered the Almond chicken and it came with steamed rice and vegetables and a weird brown liquid that had no flavor whatsoever. I think they ran out of gravy and added 2 cups of water to a tablespoon of gravy and gave it to me. The chicken was crispy, but I was so disappointed in this flavorless meal. I really wanted it to be great. But it wasn't.
Delicious! The yellow curry is a family favorite - it is SO good!! I also really like the Singapore noodles. My husband and son tolerate spice well and I don't - we get spice level 2 and it's good for everybody. If you order the curry to go, I recommend getting an extra order of rice.
Also, the people who work here are friendly. Highly recommend!
Food was lovely, as was the atmosphere. Service was good
Very delicious food. They are popular so order takeout well ahead.
Always great quality and nice variety
Food was amazing!
Really great food in a very nice atmosphere!
Nice flavours and many variations possible. Recommended
Me and my family always get takeout. Love the food, usually get the same things each time but get one extra different item to tryout. Never had a bad meal here but have had some deliciousness fo-sho. Gluten free is easy here.
A very long hair was found in my lemongrass chicken. I've been eating from the Lemongrass for years but I don't think I can after this.
Curry fried rice for the win. Staff was great, place is neat. Really enjoyed it.
Wonderful!! Great food.
I don't get the rav. Got the Heaven Beef and it tastes overcooked. The after taste is like a nasty fish.
Got thr CRAB and cheese wontons. There is absolutely no crab in them and they're cold.
If you Marinate your sauce in fish and oyster oil, you need to state it on your website under the description.
My favorite! Excellent as always. Thank you.
Reconnected with an old friend from high school. He picked the BEST place. He was doing a Vegan diet for the month and he had a plethora of options. Everything came out perfect.
It’s so cute and intimate on the inside without being sickly romantic.
The food was great, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was therapeutic after a long day at work for both of us.
This place was my go-to Thai place before the pandemic, but this most recent visit made me rethink that. The food was marginal, and the service was subpar. The fresh spring rolls, which I usually love, were tasteless - mainly noodles with few fresh ingredients. The Pad Thai, which is usually a reliable dish, was an odd dark-brown color rather than the usual "orange" and didn't taste like Pad Thai. It was okay, but it was not Pad Thai. The service was hit and miss - luckily, the tables are so close together (which is not actually lucky for ambiance) that I was able to grab them to help us when necessary. Also, the prices have gone up - I don't think I saw any entree under $18. I guess it's time to look for a new Thai restaurant...
Had to wait like 15 minutes before the waiter realized we didn't have menus. The food was good. Kinda a small place.
Excited to try a new local Thai restaurant based on reviews, was very disappointed by the food. We ordered 2 pad thai orders and a sweet and sour chicken. The total was $60 and I wish I had just saved the money. The pad thai was flavorless. It appeared like it had alot of sauce, but it tasted like water was added to the sauce. I didn't finish mine because it had zero flavor. The sweet and sour chicken sauce was good, however it was soggy and the breading slid right off. Most of the chicken was over cooked and hard to bite into. Basically, the food was inedible and a huge let down.
Always great. Reliably one of the best Thai Food restaurants in the area, of which there are a LOT!
One of our dishes was missing pineapple.
We asked female server she said it didn’t come with it. We double checked menu and it clearly stated that it came with it.
Male server offered to get the pineapple
Great… however the dish clearly would have been much better if the ingredients could marry cooking together.
Also , it seemed extremely salty.
We also asked that certain dish gluten free.
This was not horrible but disappointing.
Out of town visiting … 😞
Wishing they had more curry options. Food was good nonetheless. On the pricey side (nearly $19 for curry) and service was okay. There were often dirty tables left around.
Beautiful location and amazing food.
The food was so Good. Service was great
Excellent food. Curry was slightly spicy on the mild dish but so tasty.
Gross food and the young male manager is joke
Good place for lunch, fast, polite service, good food, fairly mainstream
Awesome Thai food, very courteous staff, accommodating with dietary restrictions, cozy seating, upscale and cute interiors, great place to have Thai food.
Food was great, but the highlight of the day was the tiramisu and coconut ice creams. Just delicious, and added a great charm to our lunch.
Good food but prices a tad too high, for too little! 🥲
Similar Thai place in Calabasas, California didn't have prices this high and had bigger portions.
I just love there food. It's fresh, it's hot food. The seating is good.
We always go to Lemongrass cafe when we are eating takeout. I take care of 3 children and 1 has special needs. When we went there today the one child with special needs had some difficulty with regulating emotions and it caused some reactions.
The lady , Jordan (not sure about the spelling), must have seen it because she brought our food to the car with so much understanding!
Thanks for great food and service
This is a diamond in the rough, looks very plain and in an odd neighborhood. However from the second you walk in, it's a very different atmosphere. Very nice inside, lighting is perfect for a cosy intimate dinner. The host and the sever were both super polite and very attentive. The beer, wine and drink menu was quite extensive. Everything they make looks very yummy. I had the Lemmon Grass Chicken with medium spice. It was amazing. It was my first visit, I will be back again, 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!!!
Good food, good service and good experience.
Delicious food, lots of options, small location with an intimate atmosphere, definitely worth it
Always a great choice for Thai
Ok I've been on a Phad Thai kick lately. Tried three other joints around this county. Lemongrass is the best so far. One other place was close. But no go. I'm going back here when I can.
Amazing food!!!
Excellent Thai food. Wide menu options
YUMMY!!!!!
They always get my order wrong and this time there was two long disgusting hairs in my food that were not mine! Then I said without peppers and there was a ton!
We ordered yellow curry with chicken, 7 flavors beef, pork pad Thai and honey walnut prawns. All of it was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed being able to eat family style so they could have a bit of everything.
Love their Singapore Noodles w/peanut sauce! Really good! I have eaten at both locations. The one in Lacey is fancier, but both serve the same great food! Try it, you get to choose the spice level, which is great! I don't do spicy, but my son and others love spicy. Great place!
They were slammed Valentine's day but despite the wait, it was some of the best Thai food I've had. Very good.
Excellent dinner decor, food was top notch, and the staff are friendly. Definitely our favorite Thai food in the area.
Another gray day in Thurston county, so time for.. Thai food!
I stopped in here again about 1:30 pm, a great place for a good welcoming vibe, gastro flavor & fresh salad veggies, and a good hot soup.. Honestly one of the freshest salads I've had in a very long time..crisp veg's & greens, sweet mango, nice dressing and great salad bits. Could have used more prawns, & a little heavy on the onion imo, but i removed most of the acidic onions from the salad and added them to my steaming Tom Yum Talay soup. Loved it. 👍
The TYT soup was good..nice mixture of seafood, but i think the cook had an overly heavy hand with the rue mix or salt shaker (which l LOVE my salt). Just a bit overwhelming..I had also added coconut milk, which l love in my tasty Thai soups. Kafeir leaves, lemon grass, cilantro, galangal, etc..water glass filled consistently, nice waiter, very professional.
I wish l could give 5 stars, but the over salted rue, mass onions on salad, & the price tag were a bit extreme. But I'll be back!👍
Our family loves this restaurant! Our go to order is yellow curry and pad thai and if we are extra hungry we get the crab wontons and crispy spring rolls too. I have liked every dish I have tried here and their online ordering system for take out is so easy to navigate and doesn’t include any extra fees. We have not dined in but the inside is always busy and looks like a cozy spot for a nice dinner! The folks who work there are so nice and always get our order out so quickly. A must visit if you are looking for something tasty!
Love this place for take-out.
Usually get noodles, this time I got coconut prawns and they were gourmet level! My mom and I always love coming here.
Horrible food horrible service.
Dining staff is great but every time I have ever tried to make an online order it's constantly canceled
The food and service are excellent.
I’d like to start off with the employees being very professional and extremely kind which is the only reason I’m adding an extra star.
I did move the salad to the side so you could see the bottom and how small this salad is.
I was missing my mom’s cooking (she is Thai), and my favorite restaurant was extremely busy so I gave this place a chance. My friend had never had Thai before and I wanted her to try.
I ordered a mango salad to go for the both of us, we live 2 hrs away so I quickly left to go home. Not only was I disappointed but I am upset at the fact I spent $55+ a generous tip for this order. I would have just walked in handed the employees $55 and walked out without any food.
I was aware it was going to be spendy (at my fave place it is).
I know inflation is a thing, but this? Do you care about the customers that pay for food and services or do you simply just want their money and that’s it. King term customers are better than one timers.
Where is the mango? 5 pieces of what probably started off as frozen shrimp, really?
Do you like AUTHENTIC Thai food and getting your moneys worth, and actually feeling full after your meal?? Drive 15 minutes to Lacey to “The Lemongrass restaurant”
Best green curry tofu I have had in a long time!
The almond chicken is fantastic with it's sauce. The scallops in basil sauce is scrumptious. I can't wait to experience pad Thai for the first time.
Yum
Went during a slower time. Service was good and food came out fast. Very good and will be back!
Food was Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Tumwater restaurant is small. They were very busy on a Wednesday night but the staff were very nice and eager to please
I go there to buy Spring Rolls..I order 2 or more orders to go..there are several dipping options I like the sweet chili sauce. They are vegan friendly just let them know..very nice people!
Whether you eat-in or take out you won’t be disappointed. Tumwater location could use more parking, but inside dining is intimate. Their peanut sauce could be thicken and slightly spicy, otherwise a 5 star rating.
Pretty disappointing. We ordered the Hot and Spicy Noodles. One order with spice level 2 and one with spice level 4. Tasted like they pulled our food out of a crockpot or instant pot. Overcooked noodles, soggy veggies, pretty flavorless. Reminded me of chicken noodle soup. I wouldn't call this authentic.
Great food/drink and service.
Yummy 😋
Nice little cozy Thai food spot. Fuji apple sake was a delight.
we got apple curry, which was a weird combination of things, coconut chicken, which tasted like Vietnamese barbeque with curry sauce, spring rolls, which were good, and jasmine green tea, which was a single, low-quality teabag in a pot. this place tastes too American to really be a Thai place, but the service was grood.
Pad Thai heaven!! So is almond stir fry.
Love the menu
Good Asian food. They raised their prices.
This cafe is totally consistent in serving healthy and delicious food.
Pretty decent food, but has been inconsistent. My Pad Thai is seasoned differently almost every time. Last night the Pad Thai sauce tasted like ketchup, another time it seemed more authentic. The fried rice my kids had was very good however.
Pad Thai was good!
Absolutely Mouthwatering.
We called to order but when we got to the place, we got the answer that they did not take our order and we had to wait for another 15 mins if we still want to order. It makes no sense for me. Bad bad bad customer service.
One of my favorite restaurants. Amazing service excellent food. Soo good it's food you'll be craving until you go back.
Good food, loved the flavors. The booths were a little crowded. Good glutenfree options.
Exelent food and fast service
Love the food
Not a fan of this type of food, but they CHANGED my mind. It deserves more than 5 stars, great staff, and the food is beyond my expectations. Glad I found it.
Delicious, authentic cuisine packed with fresh ingredients and amazing flavor. Only complaint was that prices seemed a bit high for the amount of food you get.
This place rocks. The outside could use a little TLC, but the food is out of this world. Fast and clean.
I love the good here. It always tastes fresh, never a long wait for food or service. I love the Jungle Prince dish. It ia amazingly delicious.
Very disappointing experience. Ordered the spicy noodle dish and no spice at all, sauce was bland and vegetables and shrimp overcooked. Also ordered chicken satay and it was over cooked and dried out.
My lunch of Thai fried rice was perfect. Will definitely go back to try other dishes.
Tumwater really is the best location out of the 3!
Food is consistently good! Layout is a little cramped but the service is good.
Lemongrass Cafe is always amazing. The food is great and the wait staff very friendly. I always get the Mongolian Tofu. Highly recommend.
It's in my Top 5 places to dine in! Exceptional quality&quantity of really fresh food..very yummy delicious tasting. You will leave 100% satisfied with food and friendly service.
Excited to find this treasure so close to home! Ambience is chic but not stuffy. Food was excellent - fresh and perfectly cooked shellfish in a coconut based sauce that was supreme. Service was friendly and attentive. Good prices for highest quality. Will be back for sure.
A nice place and food was not bad
They have the best lemongrass chicken. I've never had a bad experience, bad food, or poor service. Highly recommend.
Great service, atmosphere and food. Thank you.
Excellent food, good prices and friendly staff. Lots of delicious choices.
The food is always good. The curbside pick up was a bit rough. Ordered for a 6 pm pick up, arrived 10 mins early and waited 14 mins, tipped at 20%. Not sure why the wait was so long on a Wednesday night.
Consistency is the key. Lemongrass doesn't let you down. What appears to be an older building from the outside is a hidden gem filled with amazing food.

Great local Thai place. Love their Vietnamese salads.
I go there when I head durably to Olympia and take my sister out to lunch. Great little place. Really Clean and staff are always top notch! I like the vibe the places gives of, kinda classy but not upscale.
Food is always fantastic. Spring rolls and crab cakes are great starters. Their curry dishes really stand out. My favorite is the green apple. The first to the last spoonful rocks your taste buds. I have tried the lemon grass and it is one of the best I have had. They get the spice just right and not over powering.
Bottom line is, Yeah I would suggest this place to anybody who wants a great meal!
5 people in my group. 5 different dishes. 5 excellent meals!
Friendly and attentive staff. Overall good Thai style meals. Worthy of a try if you are in the area. BTW, there are three locations in area of this restaurant chain.
Love the green curry
I had the Seven Flavor Beef, it was excellent. The tables were not too close to each other which I feared for such a small space. I walk my dog by and it always smells so good, but is a bit pricey.
