Love this place! We got a Rad Nah and Pad See Ew. I like some spice and a level three is not unbearable spicy but enough for a good kick. The food was done in time and delicious. Rad Nah comes in two containers to separate the soup and noodles. The soup portion has plenty of mushrooms, baby corn, carrots, and broccoli.

It was delicious and we will definitely be back to try more dishes!

I paid $29 and change for what I ordered and y'all took short cuts at the expense of a customer pocket! The decline of your business is due y’all quality of how food is prepared!

We love to try Thai restaurants when we travel. We chose this place for the high reviews and were not disappointed! We started with the papaya salad which was the star of the show! They were able to make it minus the shrimp and it was delightful! We ordered it 3 star and it was the perfect amount of heat! Next up we ordered Basil Fried Rice and the Mushroom dish. Both had decent flavor but I do wish the rice had more veggies ( which is why we did 4 not 5 star review). Our waiter was super nice. Very helpful and thoughtful. He overheard that it was our anniversary and they gifted us a mango sticky rice for dessert! I've never been a fan but my husband loved it! A very good, quality choice for Thai. The prices were also very reasonable which can be a challenge. We bought more food than we usually do and our meal was still under $50 before tip. If we lived here this would be a place we would come on a regular basis!

Amazing place! Friendly staff and clean/modern vibe. The flowers on the table were all real and all the food we tried was fresh and flavorful. Great prices, Highly recommend. Even had a great beer and wine selection.

Having worked in the restaurant industry as a family business for over 15 years, I am not what one would consider “easy to please.”
I also appreciate restaurants that give their customers a good value for what they spend.
I’ve been traveling between Seattle and Tacoma for the past four days, and this was certainly one of the best meals that I had.
The owner was friendly, gave me service with a smile, attended to my every need and, perhaps most importantly, gave me excellent food at a more than fair price.

Chili is not a fancy place. It is somewhere between what I would call average dining experience and a hole in the wall from looking at it from the outside.
What you receive once you cross the threshold is five star service, delicious, fresh food. (try the red curry salmon. Really. It was unbelievable.) And price that is almost comically low compared to other restaurants in the area.
Great place for families. They offer every dish at your own level choice of spiciness (0 to 5). And, again, do everything with a fantastic attitude and a constant smile.

I will certainly be back.

One of my favorite downtown lunch spots! I always get one of the vegetarian options (they have so many!). The vegetables are a good texture and I really love the way they cook the tofu. The Thai iced tea is delicious too!

Super Tasty Chicken Pad Thai, I’m very pleased with overall experience, welcoming atmosphere, nice waiter, water was very refreshing served with lemon wedge in it very nice touch! Five star! Everything, I will definitely be back!

Chili Thai is everything I want in a restaurant; clean, gender neutral bathrooms, wide comfortable booths (very stable!) friendly attentive staff, AND GREAT FOOD!
We had crab wontons, pad see ew, drunken noodle, house spicy noodle, and a fried chicken dish that was featured in the back of the hardcover menu. (Get it!!!) We got 4 stars on 2 dishes and 1 star on the others - spiciness was front of the mouth sting vs (good) painful throat heat. One of us would’ve gotten a 5th star and one of us would have gone down to 3 stars. Our 1 star friend thought they could’ve used a little more heat. Your mileage may vary.

The food itself was flavorful and rich. Noodles were chewy and the veg still maintained some crispness. The rice was fragrant and fresh. The chicken was hard fried with a sweet / sour / sticky sauce - honestly- a table favorite. Would add some spice to the order next time. But wow !

The beer was cold and the glasses were chilled. The water came with lemon wedges and was regularly refilled.

Parking on a Monday night was easy! I could see how it might be a challenge during a busier night.

10/10 would drive down from Seattle again

I just recently moved from Reno, NV and always on the hunt for great food and am glad I came across this place! Loved everything! 🥰 A small piece of advice though... if you order the papaya salad and they ask what level of spiciness you want from 1-5, do not say 4 because my tongue was on fire lol... 2 or 3 would have been fine but nonetheless, it was still very good. Great ambience, great service and great food (even the bathroom is nice and clean)! My husband and I will definitely keep coming back!

Comfortable, clean and classy environment for a relaxed dining experience. The Pad Thai was delicious and well spiced at 3*. The service was fast and prices were reasonable for a sit down experience. I’m me of the nicest Thai restaurants I have enjoyed the Puget Sound especially in the $10-$20 price range.

It's difficult to find affordable restaurants in the post-covid weirdness we find ourselves in, but this is one of them. It's delicious, authentic, and has shockingly reasonable prices.

Best thai food I've had in ages. I travel full time and try a lot of thai places and this has easily become my favorite in Washington and one of my favorites in the US. We ordered the Phad Thai, Mango Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and some prawn dish I can't remember the name of, but it was #41. That one was ok and wouldn't recommend it. The other three are phenomenal. The Mango Fried Rice is my favorite. It is sooooo flavorful and the mango is so delicious, fresh, and soft, like a mango should be. The Phad Thai is a very close second, as it's some of the best I've ever had. It's sweet and peanuty with just a tiny amount of kick, even on mild, which is perfect for me. The Sweet and Sour Chicken sauce was incredibly sweet and tangy, making for an amazing coating on everything. They give you an insanely generous portion of sauce, so I suggest saving it and using at home. It's worth keeping.

I really want to try the mango sticky rice and the crab wontons. I will 100% be back when I come back around town again.

We got the pad Thai and the drunken noodles and we didn’t really like either of them very much. 3/5 stars. Drunken noodles didn’t have enough flavor and the flavor itself wasn’t great in my opinion. The pad Thai was weirdly tangy, not how we like it. Portions were good. Not enough chicken. Would not get again.

I have ordered many times from here during work hours, I always get sweet & Sour chicken, extra chicken with tofu and noodles (or brown rice).

The portion you're given is incredibly nice and I only paid $20 total, see picture to see comparison of my to go box and 16oz coffee cup. It always leaves me full and ensures I get plenty of protein in as they also add bell peppers. Make sure you have at least one hour grace period after eating before being active if u eat this much haha.

Sidenote the Staff are also incredibly friendly and the dining area is superbly clean.

Buy the Moo Yang oh my God. Best pork I've ever had.

Awesome food. The garlic pork was spicy, just the way I like it.

We love this place. We've gotten takeout from them many times and it's always great food at a great price, very flavorful and reliable for quality and taste. Recently we went on to eat and we're impressed at the quality of service and friendliness of the staff. If you like Thai food, check them out.

We loved our fresh rolls- they were especially great with the peanut sauce. The eggplant dish (I forgot the name!) and massaman curry were delicious. The interior was nice and comfortable and the staff was friendly.

Super professional, helped us straighten out an order mixup very kindly and quickly, but most of all - great food. The drunken noodles had excellent flavor and texture, in particular.

Good food, great service.

I got takeout here and needless to say I was surprised to see the actual restaurant looks very nice to eat if I was dining in.

However I came to realize that I accidentally ordered from the Tacoma location not to the Downtown Tacoma location. They were able to resolve the situation and reordered the food and remade the food for me on the spot. I was extremely grateful as I did not have a car to drive to the other location.

Thank you Chili Thai Downtown for giving me great food and amazing service. I will definitely come back and order from them next time I'm in town.

We tried this place last Monday with my friends..food was very decent and tasty ..only thing sauted shrimp didn't meet our expectation..it was sweeter side .our waitress was professional and kind and friendly..we loved the service..

I ordered for pick up. First time experience. Food was ready when I got there, exactly as I ordered it, and delicious. The restaurant itself was beautiful inside and very clean. Service was friendly. Only down fall was parking but that’s expected given its location. Will definitely be returning.

Authentic Thai food. Spice level 1 and 2 add flavor. Spice level 3 is just right for flavor. Spice level 4 you feel the burn on your lips and your nose starts to run. Spice level 5, loose your sense of taste.

Great service and friendly atmosphere. You cannot go wrong with Tom Yum soup or Pad Thai!

Food was amazing, service was great. But there is/was something seriously wrong with the water today, it smelled like toilet bowl water and tasted worse to everyone (not just me) in the lunch party. I think the lemon slice was to try to hide that, but it was a drop in a lake. Might be bad pipes! Seriously made me concerned for the water quality for cooking/cleaning dishes etc.

As with all their other locations, Chili Thai in Downtown Tacoma has excellent food, exemplary service, and is always clean. I accidentally found this location after buying produce at the Tacoma Farmers Market on Broadway. It's on a small one way (heading south) street with a few paid street parking spots. I ordered the crispy chicken on this visit. It wasn't listed in the regular menu but was just a picture in the back (a special maybe). It came with crispy fried basil on top and a wonderful sauce/gravy poured over the chicken. I asked them for a to-go soup container so I could take the sauce home with me, I didn't want to waste a single drop of it!

For a place downtown, the prices are insanely solid, and the food follows as well. Not everything I get knocks me out of the park, but I'll happily give 5 stars for a reasonably priced joint that always gives solid food, and sometimes better. Easily the best thai food in the area, and there's a lot of tough competition.

Found the restaurant just by chance (staying at the Murano hotel next door) & highly recommend it. Friendly service and delicious authentic thai food.

The food was very good. The chicken satay, peanut sauce, and cucumber salad specifically were great. The pad see ewe was good, a bit more savory than I'm used to, but it was still very nice.

We ordered chicken pad Thai, sweet&sour chicken with rice and chicken satay, the latter was our favorite. I really liked the plates design. Portions were very big, so we took the leftovers home. If you like Thai food, you should check it out!

First time. We were hungry and just stopped in for a quick meal. They were still serving lunch at 2:30, so I ordered from that menu. Decent portions and prices. Food came fast, hot, fresh, and quality ingredients. But overall, flavor was just okay. I'm used to really strong flavor, but it was still good, just not great. I would go back.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and while we were the only ones there, we had a great experience! Food was delicious and all decent portions so we could share. Their green chicken curry (not pictured) was really good! Mango sticky rice did not disappoint —was a perfect way to end our meal.

Our server was friendly, attentive, and not overbearing. When we asked why it was pretty quiet, she mentioned that it’s usually busier during weekdays and evenings due to the offices in the area.
