Classic Thai dishes are served in a setting with a warm ambiance & Southeast Asian decor.
Mother-Daughter date on 11/11/23. We were feeling Thai food so we found this restaurant on Yelp. The restaurant and restroom are clean. The interior esthetics is nice, cozy and welcoming.
We weren’t really hungry so we decided to share the Chicken Penang curry $19.00 and Pad Se Ew with beef $19.00. We also order Thai iced tea $4.00 which was on point, not too sweet. We both liked the Chicken Penang. The Pad Se Ew seemed a bit little off. The service was great. During this time, I thought that the food prices were pretty high.
First time eating here for my son and I. This place was spotless. New looking booths, tables and chairs. "Cloth" napkins folded in a design on the plate. Clean floor, even though it was snowy out. Food was hot and had a great presentation. There weren't any other people eating inside the restaurant while we were there but carryout service was hopping. Server was attentive but not overbearing so we could chat without being bothered. We will definately be back.
The food was delicious! We got here at 6pm on a weeknight, and it was packed! We were still seated within about 15 minutes. While we waited I cannot even tell you how many to go orders went out - this place was busy!! We had not had Thai food before so this was a new experience for us. We ordered the mini spring rolls witch were very tasty and honestly I think i like the mini size even better than normal. We also ordered the chicken wings which were great, especially with sweet chili sauce that came with them. My husband loves Pho so he decided to try Tom Yum Soup (Chicken) He said it was delicious but it was on the hot side which he loved! I had the Pad Thai (Chicken). I'm not as brave with spice so I ordered a spicy level 2 (1-5 scale) and it was so delicious.... nice slightly sweet flavor up front and then the heat comes up. I would not go higher than a 2 for me and might even consider treating a level one spice next time. Over all, I'm so glad we tried this.....we will be back for sure!!
Okay customer service but the restaurant was very dirty as you can see a spider web on your left, right after entrance which is not the best first impression to make! The quality of the food is okay but I had a little hair in mine which stoped me from finishing it. There were random particles in the water as well. In general, not a clean place! The restroom floor was very sticky which makes you question what it’s all there you are stepping on! The whole experience made me not wanting to go back to this location at least!
We ate at the Bangkok Thai Argonne location on Saturday, August 5, 2023. The restaurant is cozy, well-maintained, and inviting. I ordered the chicken pad thai and it was seriously one of the best dishes I have consumed at a restaurant in a long time. It was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. The restaurant makes adding the right amount of spice to your dish easy by asking you “how spicy you want it” on a scale of 1-5. I went with a “4” and it was just enough to make my nose run and deliver the kick I crave…I loved every bite. The portions are also very generous and the price I paid ($18) was well worth it.
Only reason why I can’t leave a 5-star review was because of the service. My wife and I met another couple for this dinner. We were never asked if we wanted drinks, we waited forever in-between different parts of the meal (putting in our order, getting our food, receiving our check, etc.), and weren’t even asked if we wanted the check split up between couples. The husband of the couple we were with asked our server for a beer (he initiated the request after we weren’t asked) and the beer never came. With that said, the server did apologize after the meal for the spotty service so I do want to recognize him for that.
Reading the other reviews it sounds like the service is usually really good at Bangkok Thai so I think we may have just visited them on a bad day but the taste of the food didn’t suffer at all. We will return.
It’s been a few weeks, but I’m still thinking about how awful the food was, so I opted to write this review. My mom, sister and myself got the lunch special. Each of us had chicken in our dishes and it was the grossest tasting chicken I’ve ever had. Seriously, worse than reheated microwaved chicken (if you’ve ever had this, you know what I’m talking about). My mom’s pad Thai was awful. My curry dish was cold, so I sent it back. They brought me back a watery “curry” with hard potatoes. I literally couldn’t even eat them. It’s like they poured off 1/2 of the curry, replaced it with hot water, “fresh” chicken (it still tasted horrible) and uncooked potatoes. I left over 1/2 of my entire dish behind. None of us were happy. We’ve eaten here a number of times in the past, but something changed and we’ll never go back.
I ate at Bangkok Thai in Spokane Valley this evening and it was wonderful. I found this restaurant rated highly online and those ratings were accurate.
The food was fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked. I had Pad Pak, a stir fry with lots of vegetables (carrots, mushrooms, cabbage, celery and more) and tofu. Yum! The sauce was light and served the vegetables and tofu instead of drowning them like some places would do. I went with two stars but will definitely bump this up the next time I’m there.
I went at 5 and I was the only person dining at that hour, but there was a steady stream of people picking up take-out orders. That should tell you everything you need to know about how popular this place is!
The large casting of temple carvings on the wall provides great atmosphere. The lady who served me was friendly and fun.
Great meal! Thank you!
First time Tye experience and the service from Caden was phenomenal for sure!!! Will definitely be back!!!! Fresh Rolls were AMAZING!!!

I used the take out option, it was ready in 20 min.
Great food and wonderful service!
Fantastic peanut sauce, and lots of it! We did take out from here for the first time, and will definitely do it again!
Flavorless and overpriced

Some may like this place if $20 for little taste is your kind of lunch. I ordered the (3) for $20 and a huge waste of $ for lunch. Portions were decent but the only good element was the red curry. The beef in it was tough, inedible and only 2 small pieces of bell pepper, so I had curry with bamboo shoots. The pad thai was so dry, no pad thai sauce or flavor and no side of pnut sauce served to help it (but you don't need pnut sauce when made right.) The chicken was scarce and dry. I also chose pork cashew for the vegetables, as most Thai dishes are not about a variety of veggies. Sadly, flavorless, however, plenty of pork and veggies cooked well. I had not been here for years as disappointed a few times years ago. Thai Kitchen is the only amazing Thai food in our area (best in the country) and a couple others outside Spok Valley are ok. I wanted to give Bangkok Thai another try as the others were not an option at that time; never again. The spend here is high, more than the top 3, so simply makes no sense. I should add, I had a good shrimp green curry at the S Hill location about 8 years ago, so may be worth trying again there.
Not the same as used to be! It’s a scam! They’re deleting negative reviews. We got take-out there tonight and all of the food was awful but we’ve been there many times before and loved it! The rest of the shopping center has almost completely shut down…it is not the same restaurant at all. Completely different food and cooks from before. I was surprised so I got on to look at the recent reviews and sure enough…bummer.
First time here, shrimp in a blanket with plum sauce is a must try. Red curry with chicken (GangDang) was way too much for one person to eat and was excellent. Menu looked intriguing definitely will be back.Have returned, and have not been disappointed.Hot and Sour Soup..... Pad Thai....Everything WOW. Every time we come in try something new. Google wants me to update, my five-star stands best in the valley
They need to fix thier phone could not make an order and they refused to answer.
I loved this place! Had to rewrite my review, had a meal tonight that was not very good. Will not eat here again.
They deleted my review guys, don’t go there it’s really gross 🤮
Good
They have the best fried rice anywhere in Spokane! The staff is always nice and the place is always clean.

Great food and service!
$20 for a bowl of oil n onions.
I ordered a mix veg stir fry, which supposed to have broccoli, mushrooms, celery and other veggies.
When I open my to go box at home, I got half a bowl of oil and other half was onions and bell peppers.
I don’t know how they call themselves a Thai restaurant! Don’t go.
super slow, not good.
Really disappointed to make this review since I had a good experience before but after today I will never be going back, ordered take out and they got one of my entrees wrong and was out of chicken so they couldn’t make the correct order. And on top of that my Tom khah soup was terrible nothing like it should be. Needless to say I spent over 60 dollars for two entrees (one that was incorrect) and a small appetizer. Won’t be coming back and will be making sure my peers stay far away from this restaurant and all the other
Food is ok, a little over spicy. Service left something to be desired. Awesome atmosphere. Pad Thai was way too sweet though. The satay chicken was great. All the Currys were too spicy.
Tom Yum is too sour.
Really wanted to like this place. It’s a Thai restaurant with some interesting menu options, after all. The food was fine, actually. Som Tam gave me something without red meat at a time I needed something different and was told the laab gai was very good. Also enjoyed the spring rolls. The spice level at 3 here was much higher than the 4 at the place I go to, but I’m from Ohio so maybe that’s a large part of it. This place is not shy with the heat.
Sadly, the service was rather poor here. It was by no means due to a lack of effort. It was simply very busy and they had one person trying to keep up with every table as well as all take-out orders. Felt bad for her since she was put in an impossible spot, but it also wasn’t a good result on that end.
Fantastic lunch menu...and plenty of options!
Worst Pad Thai I've had. Peanut sauce is not supposed to be sweet. Appetizer was way over priced. Will never eat here again.
The chicken satay was absolutely delicious!! The peanut sauce was overloaded with amazing flavors. I got the green curry. It was far way too sweet for my taste I felt like it could have been as sweet as a candy bar lol. Just extremely sweet. The place is a way over priced. The waitress was very nice and very sweet.
Such great food! This place has the best peanut sauce and spring rolls!! Everything else I’ve tried is super good and the service has been excellent.
Good food took a little while to get my food but food was good! If you like spicy they got it.
The Lunch Menu has fantastic options at Bangkok Thai on Argonne in the valley. I picked three items for only $19. Beef with Oyster Sauce. Coconut Soup with Pork. Green Curry with Chicken. The portions are perfect. The plating is so pretty. The flavors are DIVINE! As far as lunch menus go, this is one of my favorites by far. I love having so many choices. Service is great, and food comes out pretty fast, so an hour lunch should be more than doable.
Love their Thai food!! Our #1 go to and the order is always accurate!
Tasty!
This place is amazing
My first visit, and I was very happy! Reasonable prices, friendly, efficient wait staff and excellent food.
Great Food!

We had delicious food and a quiet atmosphere with friendly staff.
Service wasn't very good, only one person waiting and I think they were helping cook - it wasn't busy but it took 10 minutes to bring out our drinks. Food wasn't bad, but it looked terrible, rice overflowing in too small of a bowl, a pitiful cucumber salad in another side dish, etc. The prices were expensive so we might just go elsewhere, lots of other Thai restaurants around.
Have eaten here many times. The food is fast and hot, the service is consistently excellent. Just a nice cozy little neighborhood restaurant. 10/10 would eat here again.
Pork Pad Thai is a LARGE portion, several meals for me and I eat a lot in a sitting.
Absolutely delicious food and their fresh Rolls with peanut sauce are incredible, their order gives 4 large rolls and a side of peanut sauce at no extra charge.
If you’re worried about spending the $19, it’s multiple meal portions so think of it around $9-12 a meal.
Very good food that is well presented in a clean & lovely atmosphere.
The Pad See Ew is worth going for.
We ate at the Bangkok Thai Argonne location on Saturday, August 5, 2023. The restaurant is cozy, well-maintained, and inviting. Best Thai food in the valley.
Food was decent.. the staff was awesome.
Wow! This is the best Thai food I’ve had anywhere. You wouldn’t know it by the 4.2 stars, but try anything here and you will be impressed. I had the crab fried rice, basil stir fry, and mango sticky rice. They were all 10 out of 10.
Yum yum! My cravings satisfied!
Worst Thai food I ever had. Ordered Tom yum and returned it because it was very sweet. Then got Pad se-ew which was one of the worst Thai noodles I ever had. Portion sizes and service are good.
I love ❤️ this place.... but it is now too expensive for us to eat here. Over $60 for two.
Didn’t like it at all. Food wasn’t great.
Yummy Thai food, clean and well maintained establishment and prompt service. Great experience.
Wife and I have been to Thailand and this is nothing like the spicy and balanced dishes you’d come to expect.
Never had such sugary thai food before. Had combo appetizer plate which was alright but the peanut and plum sauces were insanely sweet and syrupy. The Pad Thai was expensive while also being light on the meat. Just a large plate of overcooked and sugary noodles. Found some fish sauce with chilis in it at the server station which barely helped cut the sweetness.
Had their thai style iced coffee which was undrinkable it was so sweet and when I told the server I didn’t like it she said she still had to charge for it because other people like it. So lesson is if you don’t like anything there then tough.
Just what I wanted for food. It was delicious
Super yummy food and good prices, great service. I'll definitely be going back for more
Tasty food. We did take out and it was good enough for two meals for us.
The food was absolutely delicious and the people were all so nice, it was a great experience overall!!!
A little understaffed, like everywhere else these days. Lunch specials are priced well and curry is tasty. Also ordered takeout for later, that Pad Thai was overpriced and poorly prepared, lacking peanut sauce, made "3 star" by shaking chili flakes on it.
I'll try it again for lunch.
Typically really good but we ordered it n uber tonight and it was pretty disappointing, especially since it cost $75. The pad thai was really burnt. It tasted like it had been cooked in a dirty pan. Also the curry was super watery and barely had any veggies in it. :(
Worst customer service! They need to go back to school to learn about customer services.
Went to this location for a work lunch with a few others. Overall, it was a good experience. Lobby is not large, however, so I imagine it can have moments where patrons are waiting, at busy times. We arrived later than noon, so we sat immediately.
Really good Thai food definitely going back!
Waitstaff were very patient with other customers who asked them questions every 5 minutes (asking about ingredients). The chicken pad thai could have used a lil more seasoning. I asked for my spice level to be at 2, but I wish I would have requested a 4. Overall good food and dine in experience.
Food was excellent although a little cool.
So gooooood 😊
If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Super rude! I don't know if there's a new lady working but my husband and I ordered from them in the past frequently. The past 2 times this one lady on the phone said they could not accommodate our order. The same order we always get, we spilt it up in a particular way that's all. She was very rude about it and hung up on me. We will never spend our money there again, neither will our friends and family after this. THE BEST Thai food EVER is THAI KITCHEN. Go there instead :)
Great food with decent price for the meal
Very much enjoy the Argonne restaurant. The meals are very flavorful for the dishes we order. Everyone is always very nice to us.
Ordered chicken pad si ew. Food had NO taste whatsoever. None. Normally this dish has that smokey taste. NONE. soooooo disappointing.
Pad Thai was 95% noodles and 5% ground chicken with no sprouts, peanuts or egg. When you ask for more spice/stars they just add more red pepper flakes.
Amazing food an service
Good seafood and duck! The wait staff was super friendly and quick with food. Would recommend for good local Thai food.
Excellent food and service. Will visit again.
i like number 25 GreenCurrys with eggplant is delicious 😋
Great flavor of curry, soup and they even have a spice boat!!
We were craving some Thai food and decided to check this place out. Wish we would have checked the recent reviews before going. My Pad Thai was incredibly bland. The Thai BBQ Chicken was gummy and pretty much inedible. The rice came out in plastic wrap and looked/felt like it had been tossed in the microwave, I stabbed the brick with my fork and picked it up and it didn't lose it's shape.. should have taken a picture! Also, there was a dog barking in the back? All around a terrible experience and we will not be back.
The neighborhood is a bit rough but restaurant is clean
Food is excellent and reasonably priced
Owner is costumer oriented
Great meal! Thank you!
The pad Thai was ok, but the crab rangoons were just awful. The sauce that comes with them was much too vinegar-ey. Add to this that my meal came to a total of nearly 40$, and I have to say I’m not going back. It’s just too expensive for the quality of food received.
Great Pad Thai
Food very good
Very disappointed. It is absurdly expensive for what you get, and the dishes are extremely bland. BBQ chicken is just 4 overy dry pieces of leathery chicken with no spices, and a small bowl of store bought sweet and sour sauce on the side for $20. Pad Hin Ma has was extremely bland as well. This is the worst restaurant I've been to in Spokane in 8 years.
Tasty. Good service. Had the Pad se ew.
After a long week of hard work I decided to treat myself to some Thai. Thai in Spokane has been hit or miss from my experience, but that all changed tonight. Bangkok Thai restored my faith in the Spokane Thai scene. I consider myself to be somewhat of a curry connoisseur, so I ordered the yellow curry and truth be told... it was the best yellow curry I've ever had. Great choice for my fellow curry cultists out there.
Great flavor, great service.
My wife likes getting her hair permed here
Worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Got a frozen Pad Thai from Rite Aid the night before that was better. Woman at the counter was nice, get a star for that
We had to wait quite a long time for our food, but they were super busy and short staffed. Food was pretty yummy and worth the wait.
We love the food and setting. We've always had a good experience!
this place is a disaster when it comes to service
You get what you pay for and it's delicious
The food looked amazing and I really wanted to try it but I stood there for 20 minutes waiting to be seated and watched the poor server, give every single plate/order to the wrong person/table. She seemed really stressed. I feel bad for her because she seem to be the only person working up front even though it wasn't that busy. After 20 minutes of standing in the doorway (with five people in front of me still waiting to be helped) I thought I better go somewhere else and they really need to hire more people...
Date night with the hubby. We both ordered the Gang Massaman curry with chicken(no spice). And mini spring rolls with plum sauce. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. If I was to nit pick I would say the chicken and onions in the curry were a little on the cold side.
Old rating at bottom -UPDATING MY RATING UNFORTUNATELY, they must have lost cooks. Received about 4 separate orders over a month period with undercooked bell pepper, mushrooms, and various other vegetables, as well as missing ingredients in 2 of those orders. Got a refund for the 2 missing ingredients ones - bringing back the food. I did not want to give up on them; since I'd been religiously ordering for some time now. I ordered again on Wednesday and it was undercooked horribly. I threw it on my stove top and tried to heat it up; it was late and thats what they told me to do when I called the last time it was undercooked. I realized again they had used a different spice? And there were peanuts in it I'm assuming accidentally? (I ordered the #32 ginger chicken which is amazing when cooked correctly) so again not the dish I ordered and tasted completely different, and took me an extra 15-20min of heating it up my self and cooking it basically once I got home. Very disappointing and no longer going to be recommending them nor ordering. -------Great customer service, amazing food, my personal favorites are #'s 40, 32, 34, 37 &12. I get the #32 with ginger chicken the most, take out style most of the time and it's enough to feed me 2-3 days ♥︎ great portion sizes! All of their entrees are great sizes. And all of their appetizers are delicious 😋------
Beef pad thai was to “thai” for!! The waitress was phenomenal and the food was brought out very quick. First time at a thai restaurant and my buddy and I loved jt. Thank you so much and I will be back!
This is the best Thai I have ever had in Washington state. Totally worth the prices I'm telling you don't skip this place!!! Amazing people and authentic Thai
Spendy but gooooood
Good food nice people
The food was fresh and lots of flavor.. and a very clean sitting area
I could literally eat their coconut soup everyday of my life.
Stopped in for some yummy thai tea! I do plan to go again. It smelled so good!
Terrible food. Over priced, was not edible at all. Stinks
Short version : The food is very bad. DISGUSTING SLOP. Go to Chans Bistro instead it's like 30 seconds north from here and actually serves awesome food! This place is the worst meal I've had out to eat in a long time. Total waste of money. We had to go somewhere else after for dinner out as there was nothing on our plates that wasn't amazingly borderline comically bad.
Horrible food and rude apparent owner who is apparently in denial about the "food" they are sending out. Like someone from Kitchen Nightmares or something. Maybe Gordon should pay this slop shack a visit. I would never go back EVER again. Absolutely definitively terrible. We didn't eat either of our meals because they were gag me gross, terrible tasting, disgusting flavorless mushy piles of slop. One bite out of each of our meals before sending them back to the trash can where apparently it was sourced from and we still paid $65 with the owner still coming out with attitude acting confused and telling us how everyone likes their food and acting as if we were crazy...what a looney. Disappointing overpriced garbage is an understatement. The waitress was very nice however so at least they've got that going for them. If you want good thai or asian food in this area go to Chans Bistro just a bit north of it off Argonne. Wayyyyyyyy better. Night and day better. Don't waste your time or money with this place.
Very Good Thai food!
2 nights ago i decided to treat myself with a favorite since it has been at least 3 months since i last ordered. Well i am sad to say my usual dish did not appear to be the same dish at all!!! Right away all i could see when i opened thes container was large pieces of undercooked onions, in fact it seemed to be 75% of the container!!! Larger pieces of undercooked bell pepper, and green onion dominated the dish. They were all hard and difficult to chew. The little bit of chicken that came with the meal taste old. I was really disappointed!!!
We take everybody who comes to visit to Bangkok Thai for at least one meal while they are in town and everyone loves it
Be careful as they're levels of spice are absolutely 🔥🔥🔥 very much lunch. Thank you!
One server but she did a great job. Our party of 6 was served at same time and another party of 11 as well several tables of 4 or 2. Many take outs were picked up and all accomplished on time.
Nice selection of menu items. Everyone at our table was pleased.
Too sweet. Wish it was better. There needs to be more love and passion put into the cooking, I pay for 20$ just taste like sugar 😠 Tofu pad Thai
Weak spice / flavoring. Great service. Very clean and lovely interior. A bit pricey compared to other Thai places.
Not my favorite. I got the yellow curry my boyfriend got the red and mine came in a flat dish with low edges well his came in a bowl. Also the yellow curry which I get at quite a few different places around town was quite plain it had no peanuts in it, three huge potato chunks not cooked enough in my opinion some pork the curry sauce a little bit of onions and rice. The calamari we got was pretty chewy I don't think I would order that again I wasn't a fan of the red curry the yellow curry I would order again if I went there but I definitely would go to Thai bamboo not too far down the street and enjoyable yellow curry there a little better. Plus making the trip a couple of blocks down Sprague is a few dollars cheaper.
Food was great enjoyed great place for Chinese food.
We waited forever to be greeted when we walked in. The wine I ordered was absolutely disgusting (beringer cab sav). The spring rolls were a joke. Our Tom yum had a plethora of mushrooms in it, way more than necessary (I love mushrooms) and it was lacking spice (we ordered 3 level on spice). The papaya salad was good, spice was perfect. Our server was friendly and really working hard, she was the only one. Very understaffed, which is understandable at this time, and I wish it didn’t have to reflect poorly on a place that has so many great reviews. I won’t be back.
One of my favorites
My first time there I really liked it food was delicious I will go back
Amazing experience! Wait staff was attentive, kind, and always helpful. The food was delicious and fast! We WILL be back for more!
Small location. Attentive service. Server recommendations. Good portions. Nicely done!
I almost walked out as it was taking far too long to get our water, and our drinks during lunchtime, I had to remind the young adult taking our order that I would like something to drink as well. Luckily my friend and I stuck with it, and the food brightened our spirits. Pineapple chicken looks special how it is placed in a pineapple and tastes even better. Coconut curry did not disappoint.
Good food. There are 3 locations and you don't always get the same meal from location to location.
The young man who waited on us was attentive and answered any questions we had. A great experience with amazing food.
Worst Pad Thai I have ever tasted, hands down. I've had tons of Pad Thai around the US and this was the weirdest, sweetest pad thai I have ever had. For $17, it was an additional slap in the face. Do yourself a favor and get a dish somewhere else.
This food was not good. The steamed rice that came with the Papaya salad was stuffed into a plastic bag and I could tell that been sitting under a heat lamp for hours because it was actually crispy. Papaya salad was super spicy. I ordered "3". There was little chicken in the lard naah, and it was basically soup. Rice noodles came separate and they were a brick inside a plastic bag. If you want to thicken your sauce a little I see no problem using cornstarch, but this was over the top. Also no utensils. Taste, when you got past everything else, was average at best. I'm just passing through, but I feel sorry for spokane if folks here think this is good Thai food.
The chicken satay appetizer is great and the ginger duck is fantastic!
Seriously the best chicken Pad Thai!!
Excellent shrimp & pineapple fried rice.
