Cozy neighborhood Thai eatery with classic & adventurous family-style dishes from various regions.
For anyone who's had Thai food outside the USA or decent real Thai food. Please avoid this place. I couldn't eat my Pad Thai because my teeth felt wrong after the sugar overdose. Pad Thai, it's sweet and sour, not a sugar mash. It's a shame because the prawns were big and meaty. But the flavour was absolutely off. My wife ordered noodles with beef. The noddles were nice, and flavour was okay, but the texture of the beef felt as if they used beef leftovers. No consistency and very tiny bits. We ordered cold tofu rice rolls for starter, and they were okay. However, the two sauces served with it were already too much sugary to deal with after a few bites as well. It seems that they depend on the sugary sauces to give their food flavour. Without it, the most boring food I've had. Talking from a Thai food lover. The table was sticky, and they didn't bother to wipe it off before sitting us. We wanted to change every dish we ordered but agreed that there was not going to be much difference between other dishes, and it wasn't worth the wait.
Very good vegetarian food, Tum Khaw soup, green curry, and friendly customer service. How's, the papaya salad had fish sauce in spite of our clear instructions for vegetarian food only. But other server immediately understood, accepted and made sure it was refunded. I would certainly recommend it.
Atmosphere was full of energy and young people.
Summer lunch in Fremont Jai Tha. Jai Thai in Fremont, Seattle, offers a delightful array of authentic Thai dishes bursting with vibrant flavors. The menu features classic options like pad thai, green curry, and fresh spring rolls, all prepared with high-quality ingredients. The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and attentive service make for a pleasant dining experience. It's a popular spot for both locals and visitors seeking genuine Thai cuisine.
Service was good although the water glasses and plates were not clean . You can see it in picture . There were lipstick marks on water cups 🤓
Walking around Fremont in between lunch and dinner. Came across one of the only places open before 4 pm. Went in and sat down to eat. The aroma of food was mouthwatering. Atmosphere kept me busy looking around and it was pretty clean. We were hungry. Ordered and the food came within 10 minutes stealing and attractively plated. The eyes did not disappoint! The food tasted soo good! Cleaned my plate it was so good. I went with 2 stars on the heat because I’d never been here before and next time I come back I will go with the 3 stars that I usually go with. They have some different and interesting items on the menu under the street food section. It was nice to see. I’d certainly recommend dining here!

Used to love this place for its affordable food and great quality. But I just got microwaved pad Tia😕 the noodles were dry and crunchy but the red curry once again was amazing. Pretty sad to see it change for the worse of the customer.
I just had a late lunch here with my sister. I had the Massama curry! It was absolutely without question deliciousssss🙂
Been coming here for years. I have been a loyal customer and really want to keep loving it. But after my last visit with my mom I have to say goodbye. Cold food, the most basic dish couldn’t even get it right. Maybe it’s the cost of doing business I’m not sure. Sad days for Seattle restaurants.
I had the short rib dish and was pretty disappointed. The beef was tough and difficult to cut with a knife. The server never came by to check in, which also meant my beverage was empty throughout the meal. The flavors of the salad were nice and I liked the setting.
I got the kow soi and friend rice, both were able to be made gluten free for me. Best Thai food I’ve had EVER. Large servings, great price and extremely rich flavor. The vibe inside the restaurant is very nice and pretty, if in Fremont check it out. I will definitely be coming again!!!!
Delicious thai food in a fun & friendly atmosphere! Perfect date night spot!
Great food, poor service. It took a long time to get served, and we had to keep checking on the status of our food. They were friendly but disorganized.
Delicious tom yum soup and curry
I have eaten here on numerous occasions, which tells you that the place has its merits. The spring rolls are tasty and abundant, a considerably larger portion than other restaurants, which I appreciate. Agreed that the Pad Thai is just tooo sweet and soupy and the tables remain sticky. Service can be nice, friendly and sometimes a little rough around the edges (depends totally on the server); and if they’re busy, good luck, expect a few cut corners.
Nice vibes

I recently had lunch at this restaurant and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The papaya salad and pad ki maw we ordered were simply outstanding—easily among the top three Thai restaurants we have been to.
The papaya salad was a perfect balance of flavors with a delightful crunch, and the peanuts were notably fresh, adding a wonderful texture.
The pad ki maw was equally impressive, bursting with authentic flavors and expertly cooked. The noodles were tender yet firm, and the seasoning was spot on, making every bite a delight.
Beyond the incredible food, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel warmly welcomed from the moment we walked in.
Good food, good service the wings on the menu said spicy they were sweet. This place is great for those who are afraid of real spicy food.
I ordered 2 items: crispy garlic chicken and phad thai. Both were served reeking of fish and nothing but an intense fish flavor could be tasted. Against my nose’s better judgement, I tried them anyway just in case after smelling and they tasted as horrible as they smelled

Food is way too sweet, makes my stomach feels uncomfortable. Utensils are not cleaned and broken. I barley give bad reviews for restaurant, but I really feel upset for the 80 bucks I spent on 1 pad thai, 1 fried rice, and 1 appetizer. :(
Great food and beautiful restaurant
Chicken pad Thai and pai pai mojito were delicious. I asked for very hot and was not disappointed with the spice level. Produce was fresh and the portion sizes are generous for the reasonable pricing. Chill atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff.
Wow I was starving and got some pad see ew with prawns. First time ordering here and was really blown away by the quality. Staff was friendly and my order was done quickly. Nice place too, I will be back!
Not authentic Thai food and obviously overpriced.
Excellent food and very nice ambience. Very good option for vegetarians.
Amazing food 😋
Jai Thai is a Thai food restaurant in the Fremont area. With most places in the area, parking can be tough so be ready to walk. Inside they have a good amount of tables, but can get busy sometimes. The staff are nice and friendly, and the food comes out in good time. They have pretty good food and portions are alright for the price. Their fried rice probably is the best food for your money, but Phad Thai and Phad See Ew are decent as well. Overall a good choice in Fremont and always the main one showing up on DoorDash for the Fremont and Ballard area.
A fremont staple.
the pad thai slaps
They got my take out order wrong, basically accused me of lying when I called them about it, and wouldn’t refund me my money. I won’t go here again and don’t recommend the place. Also, the food that I did eat was not good - it barely had any flavor. With all the Thai options in Seattle - go somewhere else with better food AND better customer service! Way to lose a potential repeat customer.

Yummy, authentic Thai food! The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was one of the best peanut sauces I had. I ordered the Red Curry and would get order it again in the future.
Been here around 7 times now, great service and good selection of food on the menu. Spacious place, clean and neat venue.
Recommend if you're around Fremont to give this place a shot!
Quiet, quaint space with delicious food. What actually prompted me to write this review were the glasses though lol their water glasses are the nicest glasses I've ever drank out of hahaha
Vegetable quality is small frozen peas and carrots and canned pineapple. Overpriced for the quality of the food you get.
Came in for lunch on a Sunday and it was largely empty. It’s a big space and has lovely arches. The food is quite good too. We ordered a papaya salad and a basil fried rice which came pretty quickly.
The flavors are great and the portions are quite large (but probably normal American sizes). Service is quick and you pay at the counter. We were in and out within 40 minutes.
Came here on a Monday night with some friends after the wait for Kin Len across the street was over an hour. This a solid alternative if they’re too full.
Overall, the food is solid, prices are average, atmosphere is awesome, and service is mediocre.
We got the Pad See Ew and Masaman curry with tofu. Both were good!
The Pad See Ew had really delicious, chewy and thick noodles, and the napa cabbage, broccoli and carrots were cooked very well. The sauce, while tasty, was a bit on the salty side.
However, the tofu was not good at all - chewy, tough, and seemed like it had been frozen and reheated in a microwave. Maybe the chicken is better.
The masaman curry was delicious, with softer tofu and thick potatoes. The sauce had full flavor and was quite good. The only complaint here was, the white rice was cooked with too much water and was a bit mushy.
Service was a bit slow, and the staff didn’t seem all that happy we were there, but no big complaints.
Overall, a solid place with good flavors and a nice atmosphere. Maybe just a little more attention to detail on their part is needed.
Place used to be good a couple years ago. Last time I went here I literally got my check with a cockroach on it.
I’ve been there many times…love this place.
Service is fantastic. Great place if you love Thai food and have groups with different spice levels. They actually can cater to mild and spicy lovers without anyone being disappointed. Tons of vegetarian options.
I ordered chicken phad see ew, and it was ok. Great service. 👍
Food was delicious with friendly servers. We weren’t there at a busy time and service was slow but otherwise great.
Food was amazing - loved the Pad See Euw as it wasn’t too sweet, and the Chicken Red Curry tastes really good. Garlic chicken was a bit too sweet but I still liked it. However, service was terrible and they placed a 20% default tip.
By far this is one of my favorite places to eat. The sit down tables in the window are a fun experience. Lots of Thai food dishes with exceptional flavor. Good enough to keep me coming back for more.
Great service and atmosphere. Food was okay.
Pricey.
Just bad Thai food. Ugh, go somewhere else in Fremont.
Food was less spicy than expected. I liked the Chilli garlic tofu.
Great food, fast and friendly
Perfect if u are looking for bad desserts masquerading as entrees and mains. Positive- Fresh rolls were nice.
I love Jai Thai (Fremont only! I think the location in the Hill is gone, but if it's not never go there lol....one of the skeeziest places I've ever eaten at). I've eaten at a lot of Thai places in Seattle, and Jai Thai is a consistent favorite. Their flavors tend toward creamy, rich, and a little sweet (my preference), but they can definitely bring heat if you want it.
Their thom kha soup is delicious, one of the best in the city that I've found. I highly recommend it. Other than that I've tried basically every vegetarian thing on their menu. Stand outs for me are the massamun curry (their potatoes melt in your mouth like potato chips), the mieng kham for something fresh, the gauy teiw heang (very sweet, but super unique-- get it a little spicy!), and the rama noodles (I've had so much gross, congealed tasting peanut sauces in this city.... Jai Thai's actually tastes fresh and has great consistency!). My meat eating friends also highly recommend the angel wings.
And obviously you can't go wrong with mango sticky rice-- so good!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle! I love their stir fry noodles (except Pad Thai, they over-season it with tomato sauce and tasted sooo salty). Pad See Ew is sooo good, sweet and savory with lots of meat and broccoli/carrots.
Their Khao Soj Man Gai is also very tasty as well
I love Thai food but I’m very picky, so I get Pad Thai every time. Given this, I’ve tried a lot of Pad Thai from a lot of different restaurants, but I would say this might have been the best I’ve tried! It tasted really pleasant. Also, the crispy garlic chicken my friend ordered was delicious. Will definitely go again!
Fantastic place, great service, amazing food. Finding parking is a little tough but well worth visiting this awesome place!
Good depth and richness of flavor in the crying tiger. boat noodle soup to go maybe wasn't very good, since it felt like it was missing some of the ingredients supposedly listed. I'll wait to pass judgment until I dine in, but for now it gets a four star.
Price-wise very comparable to every other thai place in fremont/ballard/wallingford. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but it's pretty dang tasty and I will definitely be back if it's convenient.
Great dine-in experience! Wonderful Khao Soi, felt like we were right back in Chiang Mai. Would recommend!!
We had the chicken satay and rock the boat. The chicken satay is pretty tender and juicy.
The deep fried seafood is average though. The menu emphasizes the soft shell crab but it’s really just one piece out of other seafood pieces. The breading is too heavy to my liking and they aren’t very flavorful.
Also had a basil green tea lemonade cocktail, which is pretty good and smooth.
The restaurant has a partially open kitchen. We immediately smell the greasy of the kitchen as soon as we walked into the restaurant. It was not extremely pleasant
Well we had a very subpar delivery experience to Fremont Brewery (via Grub Hub). Of two orders one was just plain wrong. Awesome! Order two was a curry...but no rice at all! Weird right? I called the place, "Oh you have to request it" they said. Why!???? Add a small carton of 50cents worth of rice no matter. Both of us have never heard of rice not being offered with a curry. So she ended up with a thin curry soup. Delicious but not at all a filling dinner. And then also no utensils were included. Ha! "Oh you have to request those too". I kiiiinda get that ... like if youre at home and you wont need those obviously. But how about maybe just look at the delivery address?? Luckily the brewery had plastic utensils. And then the spring roll were very meh. Maybe some fault is on GrubHub but i dont know. That was pretty pathetic. Anyhow, thats our two cents.
I’m really sad to say, but I received such poor service here that it was offensive. I had made a reservation for a friend’s bachelorette, which they accepted. Upon arrival to the restaurant, they said they lost the reservation. Thankfully, they still seated us around the corner in a portion of the restaurant that appeared closed. We had to ask for EVERYTHING. It was so uncomfortable to ask for water, to place our order, ask what the status of our meals were. Our meals were served at separate times and we consistently had to remind them what we ordered. TWO people in my party NEVER RECEIVED their food, and we asked them to cancel their orders because everyone was already done eating, despite the fact that they kept saying the food was being made. They said their restaurant was busy and made no offer to comp our meals or provided a discount for how horrendous it was. I would have preferred if they never accepted our reservation if that was the case. I would have gotten a better experience with takeout. It was seriously so embarrassing & disappointing.
Love this place! The food is so delicious and the restaurant itself is very open with beautiful big windows. Highly recommend this place and we would 100% come back anytime!
Delicious food! Everything was excellent! I would definitely recommend this place, and I suggest going during their "Happy Hour" from 3-5pm. Great Thai food!
We stopped by for dinner tonight and we were so impressed by the service, food, and ambience. We got two appetizers and my boyfriend got curry. They were all huge servings and we were both super full when we left. The staff were attentive and checked in with us often. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices as well, I was expecting it to be way more considering the portion sizes. We already can’t wait to eat here again! Also, the place was decorated for Halloween which we loved :)
I am addicted to their Panang Curry with chicken and rice.
Just the right amount of spiciness, full of flavor. Great service and attentiveness
The panang curry is divine!
It was nice, spice of 4 is pretty spicy tho yeah. Red curry quite heavy
Food is mid. Terribly inattentive service.
Delicious Thai food and great service, nice location in Fremont too. Recommend :)
Great authentic Thai food! Boat noodles were just like we had in Bangkok.
The service was impeccable.
One of the very good Thai places in Seattle. Panang curry and pad Thai are worth a try! I'd recommend to keep moderate (3/5) spice level for the best experience.
Received cashew chicken instead of the orange chicken that I actually ordered and the pad thai that my partner got was so bland, if he hadn't ordered it with some spice I doubt there'd be any flavor at all tbh.
Very good curry!!
This place is amazing! Tuk Tuk: amazing. Rock the boat: amazing. BBQ duck curry: amazing. Crying tiger strip steak: amazing. Pad Thai: amazing. You should eat here.
Anytime we passed through Seattle we stopped at J Thai. The food is authentic it's fresh flavorful and we generally buy more than we're going to eat just so we can enjoy the leftovers for a few days afterward. The staff is exceptional and you should go try it.
Fast and friendly service even when busy. The best spring rolls too! The Phad Thai is amazing and full of flavor. Worth the 1hr trip from Arlington
You need to get a drink and the leaf wrapper appetizer!
Before the pandemic, it was perfectly normal to walk into a new restaurant, get a table and settle in for a meal. But in these times you have to consider other things.
My girlfriend and I were in Ballard, a few hours from home, when we got hungry. We are vaccinated and wear masks, but eating out is still a risk - two friends recently got covid despite being vaccinated and only meeting people outside. We got out our phones and searched for a takeout place. We were more hungry than picky, so we took a suggestion near the top of the list - Jai Thai. We drove past Waiting for the Interurban and spotted it on our left. There was a parking spot right around the corner. Things were looking good.
The dining room was nearly empty. Pre-pandemic, that would have been a red flag. We decided it was because people were being as cautious as us. In our tired hungry state, we opted.to take advantage of the empty space and got a table.
The menu looked good. They had all the usual Thai dishes - Phad Thai, Tom Gom soup, Satays, curries... Plus a few lunch specials and house dishes. We chose the number 6 lunch - stir fried pork with Phad Thai and Thai iced tea.
I went to the men's room. It was clean and properly supplied - a good sign.
The food came quickly - a bad sign. The food was just piled on the plate without any attention to presentation. The rice was over cooked. The phad Thai noodles were clumped together and perhaps the worst sin - my 3 star meal had no spice at all. In fact all the flavors were weak.
We were hungry, so we are it, then raced out of there disappointed that the food was not even close to being worth the risk of eating out.
It's a real shame
Excellent curry
So, you can do better. Yes, Jai Thai serves good Thai food, but the thing is that so many restaurants in Seattle are serving good Thai food. If everything is good, nothing is special, and that's the pitfall of Jai Thai. I enjoyed my pad Thai, and I thought the venue was lovely. I just cant see myself remembering my meal more than "that one place I liked in Freemont".
Ordered from Jai Thai for the first time and while the curry was great - it was delivered late and did not include any rice and when we tried calling the restaurant no one answered.
Excellent thanks ☺️
Absolutely delicious curry! The coconut juice is refreshing and looks fun. Wonderful staff and great atmosphere.
Great food. Yummy curry. Nice service. Clean.
I had the Pad Thai and spring rolls to-go. Quickly prepared, kind service. Both were soooo good. Huge portions. I'm happy happy happy.
Food was great service too. We really enjoyed our dinner.
Sent two tofu pad thai dishes instead of one chicken and one tofu. When I called, they wouldn't send a chicken pad thai to fix their mistake, they offered a credit for next time. That is terrible customer service.
Super delicious thai food, very filling, good service, and nice atmosphere :)
Delicious food, friendly staff, and fast service. Love that this is my neighborhood Thai restaurant
They were super under staff and the quality of service was not good.
Exceptional Thai food and service!
Tasty special. Crunchy rice salad was a tangy, spicy, aromatic wonder. A big serving too. Order one to share!
Omg the food here was so good 😩
I got the pad see ew with chicken and it was so so so good. I dont know how to describe it but I seriously recommend this restaurant. The dim lighting is so charming and relaxing too. ♡
I'd love to eat here again.
BBQ curry duck was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Great service too
First class food and service!
Really good Thai 👍
not open during hours on google during covid
I got take-out here with my boyfriend. He got Pad Thai, I got Pad SeeEw. Mine came with the wrong meat and the veggies looked completely different than his. Mine were all discolored and soggy and seemed old. Mild spicy had no spice at all, so I'd probably ask for at least 2 stars for some flavor if I return. Overall not my favorite spot, but it's convenient and alright if you're in the area and want some Thai food.
Gratuitous amounts of Pad Thai!
Meal was delicious but the waitress was not very kind..
Great food I feel you get what you pay for... Friendly staff... The only Thai restaurant I will go to
Excellent service and their crab fried rice was incredibly good, would definitely recommend
The food ( curry and Tom Yum) overall is tooooo sweet and not spicy enough if you order the 4 star spicy level. I think a Thai restaurant at least should have one level which is spicy enough for the people who love spicy. The curry and the soup is not the local Thai taste. Wish they can improve it.
The sweetest thai curry i have ever had. The upside is it saves you money on dessert. The downside is the whole meal is the dessert. Also the spicy curve is way too flat, level 2 and level 4 tastes identical to me and I had to add multiple spoonful of chili to my dishes.
Great service. Great place to get authentic thai food. Atmosphere was nice and clean.
This restaurant working one guy. You should change this stuff. He doesn’t know how can talk with customer. He is working take order and pick up phone.
I'm not sure why the average rating is 4.2 stars because if you look at the most recent and relevant reviews they are all glowing! Standard Thai menu with some interesting standouts. Fried rice is particularly good (I do remember them having a fried rice with cashews in the past). Man taking order over the phone was extremely polite and friendly plus he kept up with the speed of my large order and everything was perfectly correct.
Great food but can’t get thru on phone. Say’s Jake Nelson... mailbox is full??
Favorite Thai restaurant in the city.
Jai Thai is the best Thai food in Fremont! There are lots of Thai choices in just a few square blocks and Jai Thai is definitely the best. I recommend the kow soy, fresh spring rolls, country style pad Thai, and of course the Thai iced coffee! If you like spicy, don’t be afraid to ask for four stars of spice, you’ll love it. This will be one of my first dine-in experiences when restaurants open back up post-COVID.
Before changing my diet due to some restrictions and lifestyle choices, I used to eat at Jai Thai all the time. Everything about it is excellent. The value is great, the service is friendly and fast, and the location is prime. I recommend anyone to go in and try it out for yourself. My personal recommendation is that you complement your meal with a sweet and strong Thai Iced coffee
Best Thai food I love it! I usually get pad thai with no soy sauce and green curry with a fresh roll no tofu. It's very🌶️🥵 hot spice 2 is hot 4 is non edible 🔥🔥
