Family owned and operated since 1983. Authentic Thai Cuisine and World Class Entertainment. Family friendly until 10:45 pm. Dinner shows are free. Late night cover charge from $0-$15 depending on show
This place is a true gem nestled in the Uptown. My husband and I have been coming here for many years, and we have never been disappointed. The food is absolutely divine. They offer a wide variety of beverages from a good selection of beers on tap, soft drinks , cocktails, and Thai iced tea. The staff is kind, welcoming, and top notch.
We have enjoyed their weekday dinner and late night weekend shows. If you haven't been to the Emerald I highly recommend it. If you have been to the Emerald I recommend you try everything at least once. Oh, and if it's in season, you must try the sticky rice with mango 😍.
*Update 10/8/24* ate the best beef pho I've ever had today!
Very cozy and artistic! Not a complaint from my party! This place offers live music, hand made paintings all over the walls and tables as well as a very nice menu to pick from!
We got the tofu soup, vegan pad Thai, pork and rice and the fried rice (but we subbed with brown rice) - everything was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere nice to have a meal at!
I love Emerald of Siam- they keep a fun live music vibe in Richland as well as have great food and drinks. It's a excellent small music venue, with a wide variety of shows to enjoy pretty much all month. Recently the Taylor parties were fabulous, as well as the Elvis impersonator. Love the food, especially that they have a vegan Thai menu. So it's very accommodating for different eating choices. It ensures that myself and friends can all get the type of food we want. Plus the vegan pad Thai and sunshine rolls are fabulous. If you are vegan/vegetarian, definitely check out the buffet on Tuesdays. It's a great way to try out different dishes, and was definitely a 4/5 on flavor. My non-vegan kid enjoyed it too.
Absolutely love Emerald! Their food (and drinks) is always top notch, their staff is super friendly, and they are fantastic members of our community! Great all around!! Oh, and the Tuesday's lunch buffet is amazing!
I visited the Emerald of Siam to watch my kid play with a local high school Jazz Band. This was my first time there. It was super busy, but I was offered a seat at the bar. I wasn't going to order food, but since they found a seat for me, I ordered orange chicken. I was a little nervous, but it was really good! Good music! Good Food!
Excellent Thai food. Pretty spicy, but delicious. We had a bunch of appetizers and feasted with a cold beer! Two thumbs up 👍👍

Very good food.Sarah and others were very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and informative.
Has a great variety of events almost every day of the week. Food and drinks are okay, a bit expensive for what it is. Rating 4 stars for the events.
Fun vibes ✨️

Pillar of Richland, great food for 2 generations. Lots of parking and tables and options. I always order the special, their masterful kitchen never fails to impress.
One of the most important places in the uptown for me. Great music, community and amazing food.
Most excellent.
Really enjoyed the live show and the food was phenomenal.
I don't want to listen to jazz music when I eat..... or ever for that matter.... who even listens to jazz
Really delish food, perfect spice-levels, authentic food & unique ambiance with artwork & live music in a trendy area of town. 🙌
I recently moved to Richland from the Seattle area and have been impressed with the food and staff every visit. The food has been probably the best I have tasted! I recommend for a drink as well! Their menu is well made and the drinks are delicious and creative!
Family owned restaurant with great Thai food and friendly staff! The Emerald butterflies and Thai tea are my favorites! They have a great lunch buffet as well. They have live entertainment and other events in the evenings throughout the week.
We heard many good things about this place so we booked a reservation for my sister- in-laws birthday. When we walked in there was an older lady singing—very loud and just a bit off key. Just not really our cup of tea as live music fans. But the main issue I had was with the service. I don’t know if we just caught her on a bad day, but our server was rude and short with us. I worked in service for many years so I know it can be wearing, but this was supposed to be a special night for my sister in law and this woman’s attitude ruined the whole mood of our evening. We left early and went somewhere else. Very disappointing.
Lunch buffet was small but delicious and thee scald was refreshing and makes you want to keep on eating it
Great place that has withstood years of existence in the Tri-Cities. Times have changed, of course, but this place has been able to maintain their lead in great tasting food, drinks, value, service, and entertainment. Always the best sound system around and excellent venue for uo-and-coming performers. The local band, "easyday" sometimes performs and always pleases. Check them out on Spotify, too. They owe a lot to The Emerald of Siam.
Wow first time we have had Indian food. I had goat curry and some fried cauliflower WOW WOW WOW!!! GREAT FOOD WILL BE BACK WHEN WE TRAVEL North again...
They often have decent live entertainment! A great place to check out local talent.
Great place for drinks and karaoke
Great place for food and entertainment…
Nice people.
Absolutely fantastic place, great food, awesome wall paintings, definitely will be eating there again!
We love it here. I always get the curry noodle soup 🥹 its so good!
I loved this place from the moment I first stepped in. Dara, Eric, Justin and the rest of the staff are always very warm and welcoming. The new Pad Thai & The curry bombs are my absolute favorite. Take a look at the Fresh take as there’s always a few winners on there like the Yakisoba. The Live music, jam nights and karaoke are always a win too. I wish I had more gumption to come here more often but life starts life-ing and I only come maybe once or twice a month and always leave with a smile.
The absolute best in the Tri City's.
Excellent food. Music can be a little too loud at times for lunch hour, so I like to sit outside if the weather permits. My favorite dish is the Thai basil chicken with butterflies! Don’t forget to add the prik nam pla sauce!
Their food is very good. I got the chicken pad Thai and was very happy with the portion of protein I got. Their fresh spring rolls are really good too. Portions were large enough to share between two people.
Wednesday is jazz night, great atmosphere
Great food great service! The server with red hair was working hard and was able to keep up with the big crowds. Super friendly and we loved our food! One of favorite tricities stops!
Best Phad Thai in town! Finally found a good one. Wasn't dry and taste was perfect.
The lunch specials are a great deal, and the food is always delicious!
Pretty gross to watch as bar staff wiped their nose with their fingers and then not wash their hands 🤢
If the food and service were any less desirable we would not return due to how dreary and dirty the place is. We arrived for brunch right after they opened at 11am. The service was very prompt and polite. The food was excellent and flavorful. Every dish that had veggies was very fresh and crisp. Like seriously purchased that morning from the store fresh. The atmosphere wasn't very good. There were hardly any lights on and the interior was very dark. We sat at a booth next to the windows and they clearly do not do a deep clean of the interior because there were countless months of cobwebs and dust in every corner of the establishment. If not for the great food and service we would probably never return due to the lack of a welcoming atmosphere. I would give them a 4 or 5 start after they clean up the place and turn on some lights.
Prices seemed high so I opted for the $17 Buffett. Despite it being 11:45am with the restaurant only 1/4 full, the Buffett had almost no food, most trays empty. So I went elsewhere
Poor service
Does anyone know if there is seating or amenities for Handicap people inside? I have stage IV Cancer and would like to come on a weekend but I'm afraid I may have to stand or use a stool if I'm not early and I come from Prosser.
Great food and great people. I cannot recommend them enough.
First time eating at emerald of Siam tonight. I was intrigued when I came Across a post on Facebook and looked into their menu and saw so many gluten free options! I have celiacs and was diagnosed as an adult so to find good Chinese/Thai food I can eat and that tastes like Chinese/ Thai food should Is tough! I ordered The orange chicken and the pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious! I’m so happy to add Emerald of Siam to my restaurant list!
This is one of the coolest places, some of the best people. Awesome live music scene. And oh, the stars? Real stars. Careful with the spice!
Great food, very cool place to play and listen to music.... probably the most active restaurant- activity wise- that I've ever seen... there's always something happening
Awesome food!
If you’re looking for great food and a fun environment definitely go to the Emerald! It’s a long standing family restaurant with a love for MUSIC! They have many varieties of live music, once we took our kids and they had a harpist playing during dinner. Such a unique experience, thank you!
Incredible food, great service, awesome atmosphere! I especially love their inclusive and progressive mindset as well as their support of the arts and music. Cannot recommend this gem of a restaurant and music venue enough!
Queer hangout disguised as a Thai restaurant. Very odd staff. The customers and patron are even more questionable.
I wouldn't recommend this place.
Servers were slow.
Triva night there was very peculiar. I think this is a gay bar in denial.
The food is really good! but the environment is WAY TOO LOUD
Music, Thai food, and great staff.... you can't go wrong.

I loved the food can't wait to return 😋 however, making actual customers not have a place to sit because a game is going to be played in an hour with Reserved seating for nearly your entire restaurant is kinda ridiculous.
The food and drinks are decent. If you're coming for a band show, arrive early as it can get crowded and seating can be tough to get and standing away from the stage/speakers isn't really an opition as you're always in someone's way.
We ordered a vegan meal for my daughter and found out that it was made with chicken. The rest of the order was OK, but not the best Thai we've had
Food was delicious. Prepared quickly. Got a couple drinks for myself. Made well. We were there on jazz night and it was awesome. Great environment. Talented musicians. Really just an all around great experience. We'll be back for sure. It's easy to see why these guys have been in business for so long.
Emerald of Siam is an incredible small music venue. The atmosphere for music is great. I didn't get any food but the drinks were good. I had a wonderful experience other than the bar staff giving my credit card to someone else. It was tabbed out before close so I know it wasn't lost.
We happened to go when there were live performances of Christmas music. The vocalists were really good and it was nice eating delicious food while enjoying Christmas music. The atmosphere was different than what I expected, but I liked it.
The food is fantastic. I'm obsessed with the sunshine rolls, they are so fresh and large for a great price. The pineapple curry fried rice is amazing!
Every time I come in the employees are friendly. Whenever I order to-go I am greeted with a pleasant experience.
The best kang-ga-ree (yellow curry) I have ever had in a beautiful thai-theme restaurant. The Saturday evening we went our dinner was accompanied by smooth live Jazz. Our server was attentive. The black light bar was cool. A worthwhile experience.
A plus was the sidewalk pianist (October) a couple businesses to the left of the restaurant. The whole plaza had a a hidden gem feel.
I love this place. Not only do they serve delicious food and apps, but they are the venue for all kinds of music—opera, folk, jazz, classic rock, indie—you name if. They host it all. I love this place.
Great food great music great management great drinks love this place
Went first time this year for the Dave Clark saxtett playing. Great show and great food/drinks. Service was wonderful. I'll be back.
One of my best places to dine-in in town. They always have something going on, jazz night, trivia, and more. The food is very good too. Would recommend this place if you want to have good food in a good atmosphere.
Incredibly mediocre food at a ridiculously high price
A proper dive 🍻🍺
Great place to play music and to eat. Staff, management and owners are top notch.
Emerald of Siam is the true center of Richland. Great local music, people, and of course yummy Thai food.
First time visiting this Richland icon...and I'm impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, with large portions. Prices were quite reasonable, too. I had the Pad Thai with tofu, which was pretty perfect...not too sweet, with great flavor balance. I love the fact that this is also a live music venue. I happened to visit on acoustic night, and the artist was really, really good. Definitely recommended!
Great bar with live entertainment throughout the week. Very inviting atmosphere and overall nice workers. Food is a little pricey ($16-$20+ range).
Hostes was very nice... but just shy of ONE HOUR for a to go order (rolls an one curry) ? A heads up woulda been nice. We would have gone elsewhere if I knew!
Great place for the whole family
Live music, great food, wonderful service. Will return!
Great food
The staff is always friendly
Good food and drinks and on Thursday nights pub trivia with BJ! The takeout is just as good as the dine-in. Be sure to call and reserve a table for trivia night.
Good beer
Ok buffet and nice enough environment for daytime visits but it's the nights and their entertainment that is 5star
Terrible food. Green curry has no flavor except bell peppers. Fried shrimp was fried in rancid oil. Pad Thai so spicy it was inedible. Four basic dishes was $109.
I'm obsessed with their tofu Pad Thai, it's absolutely delicious. They're also pretty allergy/special diet friendly. They're able to make a lot of things vegan on request. Highly recommend.
We have been to Emerald 5 or 6 times. We come for the food and the great shows. The staff is always friendly. I have tried several menu items and never been disappointed.
Came for trivia night and enjoyed myself. You can have a group of up to 6. The good was pretty great, I did not like the cashew chicken but the pad thai was great. Drinks are a good prince range and taste delicious. It did get quite busy but we were there about 2 hours for trivia so it was fine with us.
Amazing! Made an order to go from website & it was done in the time it said. The front hostess was very kind. I needed an extra to go container & silverware & he jumped right on it! The food was awesome. Large portions & great flavor. We would recommend the cashew chicken and pad Thai! We will be back during our next travel through!
I am biased to this establishment. I am friends with the owner. They are great people and the environment is always a pleasant one. If you enjoy music and open mics then this is definitely a place you need to try. You won’t regret it. I promise.
This is our go-to Thai restaurant in Richland WA! Great authentic Thai food! Entertainment you can't beat!
I'm not a fan of their food (most people are!) but I LOVE their music artists, and would like to catch other events. If I could, I'd be there most days it's offered. The remodel really allows people to find that place they like to enjoy a show from.
The bartenders have what I would call a "Seattle demeanor" compared to what I typically see here - they are not on leisure time (yours or theirs), they are all business. The house drinks I've tried are delicious and they have a tempting late night menu.
If you've been sitting on the fence, I encourage you to try them out!
Great place to grab a drink and enjoy some music.
Cool place they have a lot of live music in the food's pretty good too!
Feel very uncomfortable with the bartender staff last night
Awesome place with great food and live music!
Affordable and tasty Thai food in an inclusive and eclectic atmosphere. Emerald of Siam does music and cultural events as well.
Went for the first time recently and ordered three appetizers, orange chicken, and the Thai coffee. All were excellent. Service was slow, but we were there early to mid-afternoon, between lunch and dinner, which may have affected it. The lunch menu is limited, but planning to go back to try the lunch buffet and the more expansive dinner menu.
Pro-tips: light switches for the bathroom are outside in the hall. The lunch buffet looks amazing but arrive when it starts for best selection. And given the live music/events, check the business website or Facebook to see what’s going on.
I popped by for 'geeks who drink' trivia night. It was a lively event and almost everyone there participated. However, my group just happened to get the only free table as everything else was reserved. So, reserving a table seems to be best if you plan to visit for an event.
The food was great (warning they will ask you for a spice level of 1-5 and 4 is already pretty spicy) and the service was fast. I did like that they brought the food as it was finished instead of waiting for everything.
It's not super expensive, but if you plan to have a meal and some alcohol you can expect to pay $30-40 per person. Meals went for about $15-$20 and alcoholic drinks range from about $7-15+.
Whether the business is family friendly or not depends on your point of view. They encourage inclusivity so it may not be for everyone.
An absolute staple in Richland - love the food, drinks, atmosphere, music 🔥
Thai Buffet I had was incredible!
Foods good service a lil slow but still good
Always a great time
There are few more iconic and tasty places in Tri-cities. It's not you average Thai place! Their buffet is great and changes daily; their entrees are superb, and their staff welcoming. Their events are varied and a cornerstone of the community.
Great food and service. Amazing performances and drinks. An all around premier hole-in-the-wall
Plain interior, has has stage because also hosts music in the evening. Tried the lunch buffet, reasonable variety of dishes, quality decent, service good. Good deal for anyone in the mood for that flavor of food.
Owners are disgusting people. Absolutely no morels
Disgusting and disgraceful.
Great food and great music.
Went to the Emerald to listen to the music of Burbon and Bellows. Had some food from the after 8 menu, which was really good. The atmosphere was fun and there was a decent selection of brews and other libations. Fun evening listening to the music and enjoying the food.
I love Asian food in general, so wanted to try this Thai place. I was not disappointed: they make a superb green curry... with just the right amount of 'kick'' (hot scale: 3 out of 5). The Thai garlic vegetable dish was very tasty too, with added shrimp. Oh, and the veggie spring rolls are fresh and crispy and lip-smackin' GOOD! Definitely recommend.
We ordered 5 different meals for carryout. They were prompt and everyone loved the meals they ordered. It was very good. Very flavorful and filling. Will be out go to from now on!!!
I travel for work all over the west coast, whenever I'm out of town I always slip into a local Thai restaurant looking for the latest and greatest. On this brisk early March evening I stumbled upon this place on Google. I made a ten minute walk from the hotel and was blessed with amazing Thai takeout 7450 miles from The Land of Smiles. I always order Thai Hot Panang Curry just to compare spice levels between cities. I was disappointed they only serve green yellow and red curries. I reluctantly ordered red and man oh man THIS PLACE DELIVERS. The flavor and spice combination was on point. This is the first restaurant review I have ever made and it's only because they brought the heat and the flavor was STILL there... very rare. They were having trivia night and all the tables were reserved which is kinda lame but I was getting takeout and really didn't care.. THIS PLACE IS BUSSIN!!!
Obnoxious prices and quantity is peanuts! Payed 70 bucks for food and I didn’t even get a fist full of rice. Ridiculous, this only works out when the establishment has got good customer base and would not care less about customer service anymore ( versus when they were just getting started )
Edit: Like I said it’s peanuts and like other reviews say (it’s obvious with no interest in service). The owner claims I requested for refund and that is a lie. The owner said that I can come collect extra rice and I respectfully declined it as I don’t have the time to drive to collect it “again”. That is the end of that phone call. I did not ask or implicate for a refund. My review will stay and it will be an honest one for others to see. The reason I made the phone call was to hear what the establishment had to say (not for refund but to confirm that’s the quantity they usually give so my review is accurate to share my view).
Horrible food. The rice that comes with curry was absolutely uncooked.
Grains of uncooked rice were coming in my mouth. World never recommend this place.
Awesome place, good music, good foood.
I had the lunch buffet with my daughter and son-in-law and the food was quite tasty. It is an all you can eat buffet that contained 8 different dishes. The food was not too spicy. The service was good even though it was a self serve buffet. The atmosphere is a bit funky as it reminded me of my college days with a black light stage for live music. The only down side was that it was a bit dark at my table so I could not clearly see food.
The absolute best place for dine in. Great service even better food and drink specials
This is not your typical Thai food. The menu has all of the familiar names, but even the basics like their Pad Thai are very strange and just didn’t work for me. They’ve got a strong local following, but I don’t get it. Might be the live music, because the food is very mid.
My mom asked to go there for her birthday dinner. She loves this place and was looking forward to it so we called, made a reservation, and the 6 of us went. Our server was in a bad mood from the very beginning and it was fairly obvious. She was very short, seemed annoyed and, sadly, for some reason, she was even more so that way towards my mom. Our food was amazing but the customer service throughout dinner stayed the same. Luckily, there was live music and the guy singing was so sweet to my mom and even sang her happy birthday. I’m not sure if it was just an off day for her or what, but was enough for us to not care to dine-in there.
I love The Emerald! Great atmosphere and food!! They also have live music quite frequently! The service is always great too! Highly recommend The Emerald!
Good is good, service is bad. The food here can be really good! But the service is not the best.
The food here is incredible. The yellow curry is a a favourite!
My favorite restaurant in the tri-cities :)
We went here on a Tuesday afternoon. It's a vegan buffet. The salad was excellent. The buffet had a good variety of dishes. The quality of the food was very very good. We are definitely going to go there again. The buffet is open from 11:00 to 2:00 on Tuesdays.
Thai fries were Fire 🔥 😋
