Ordered dinner for 3 on a Friday night. Was given a 15 minute time, got there and they are very popular. So it was a little hard to negotiate the restaurant to get to the back to pay and pick up food. Good service, got our food home, all hot and prepared correctly. Great spice, easy ordering, my only problem was my fried rice i upgraded to the beef, and it was lacking in flavor and quantity. I think there was probably 3 or 4 pieces and it didn't taste very good, so i wish i had stuck to chicken.
The food tasted great! We got the Tom Yum soup, Phad Thai, Ayothaya Special Curry, and the Thai Fried Rice. I am Celiac, severe gluten allergy, the menu isn't labeled GF but the staff was able to let me know what all was GF and what could be made GF. We made sure all of our food was made GF and it tasted amazing! I didn't get a reaction, so I would definitely go back!
The food was excellent. It's a very nice looking restaurant, nice ambience, as they say. They should avoid using parts of the diningtroom for storage, though. Very fast service. Some of the best Thai food I have had in Pierce county. I think I will make it my birthday restaurant. If you love Thai, you won't be disappointed.
We ordered delivery through Uber eats last night (8/16/24) although I would rate the taste of the food about 4 out of 5 stars, the very small portion size makes it not worth the price. I understand prices are a little higher using a delivery app but I would expect the containers of food to be more than half full of food. I’ve attatched a photo of how the green curry arrived and how the pad see ew arrived. Not pictured was also a side order of peanut sauce that was also half way filled. These are the smallest portion sizes from any Thai restaurant I’ve ever seen and very disappointing! We will not be return customers!
Love this place! Sorry the other location is closed but happy to still have this place to go to. The food is always amazing. Never got a bad order. Everyone is always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere inside is beautiful. This place has never let me down. Stopped in for lunch. Got my usual. Appetizer- Wings, Entree- Salmon Jumping, Entree Thai Fried rice with chicken and I added pineapple. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious!
I know people like to complain about negative experiences, but I try my best to equally rave about my good ones. I just called Ayothaya Thai in Fredrickson to thank them for the amazing Thai food we had the other day. We used to eat Thai food several times a month and since developing my anaphylactic mammal allergy (Alpha-Gal), eating out in general is terrifying and a huge risk, so I’ve been extremely limited in where I feel safe going. I felt brave the other day and really wanted to try Ayothaya since it’s been years and I remember they always took their GF standard seriously. I called and the host reassured me that they cook the chicken separately than the red meat and will not cross contaminate my food as they always use a clean wok for each order prep. I doubted that they’d be successful (because I’m that sensitive) but still hopeful, I ordered. I promise you that even the slightest bit of cross contamination would have destroyed my night, but instead I had a full belly and happy smile on my face. We will be back again and again so long as they keep these standards up!
Photo of my modest portion of Pad Thai & fried rice. I went back for more as soon as I confirmed it was safe!
Yesterday I was really craving pad Thai! We just moved to the area so I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to find a gluten free pad Thai anywhere, the sauce on it usually contains hidden gluten. This place looked really good so my husband ran inside to see if their pad Thai is gluten free. He came out 5 minutes later with a hot bag of food that smelled so good. He said he asked the guy working there if their of Thai was gluten free and he said “it can be if you need it to be”. The receipt and container both had no gluten written on it. It was so good! It was the perfect combo of sweet and spicy (it was a level 5 spicy) and I didn’t get sick!! This is 100% my new go to restaurant in the area!
It's a very nice space, the servers are excellent and make good suggestions, and the food is very tasty. We had a large group, but everything moved smoothly throughout the evening.
Great chicken pah thai and coconut prawns
Cashew chicken good! Fried rice was the worst. Mushing like baby food. We couldn't not eat it. I will not get Thai food again

Great food and customer service! My favorite restaurant and amazing gluten free food!! Great for celiacs!
I ordered Padthai yesterday and it was so dry and i forgot to call them i just called them now and they can’t do anything. He said the person i talked to that i will call uber eats. What uber eats gonna help? The restaurant supposed to be the one to take care of it not uber eats.
Food is always so good! The decor is also fun. The fish tank is really neat.
Friendly people, amazing food every time. Restuarant is a bit crowded but worth it!
I almost die yesterday because of food borne illness. I take out my order at 11:15 then don't feel good after 3pm, i start vomiting and cannot consumed any thing even water. I went to the ER and got sepsis bacteria from the food i ate there.
Their Sen Yai is so delicious I get it everytime even though I like their other dishes.
Like Thai food? Look no further.
Amazing Tasting Thai Food ~ All the way out in Frederickson, Wa! Amazing.
This is the best Thai around. Super friendly staff, they treat always treat us like family. We have never had a bad meal. I will always suggest this location to friends and family.
Great food, friendly staff, and got my order right.
Love this place!

We love this place! It can be a bit of a wait some nights, but worth it. Very fresh very good. Wait staff are friendly and accommodating.
Love this place. Food is always amazing.
Service was excellent, food was good. I got the pad see ew and, to be honest, it was a little too sweet for my liking. Still delicious though, and the staff was friendly.

Great food and staff
Excellent service, reasonable waiting time, and delicious food. Definitely would dine here again.
Noodles need cooked little longer for the pad Thai. Otherwise very to good.
Unique Thai menu. The food tasted great! The servers are AWESOME!!!
Always amazing food and service!
Great food, service, and atmosphere. Also super convenient to order online and pickup turnaround time is very quick.

Not a fan. I thought the chicken panang curry was soup. Came in a bowl with watery sauce.
VEGETARIAN/ VEGAN BEWARE
Honestly I would love to give them a better review but this is the third time I have gone here and they messed up my order. I’m vegan/vegetarian. And they have accidentally added meat to my dishes or gave me shrimp rolls instead of tofu. It’s really disappointing because I also like to tip and getting it to go. And they never try to make up their mistakes. I just feel the service is negligent and they could handle and care about people with food restrictions. I got sick the last time I came here and my friend really wanted their food and it had been a few years so I was hoping it would different to find out I took a bite of some shrimp :/ When/if the food was to ever come out right, it can be good but now I’ll never be going back

Best Thai around here! Owners are wonderful and nice too
The food was excellent.
Honestly some of the worst Thai food I have ever had. Living in Thailand for some time, I have grown to love Thai food… yet this food was absolutely horrid. Massaman curry and panang curry should not taste the same, but they did just with different ingredients. I ordered 4 stars and it was a 2 on a good day. Very disappointed. They also took almost 45 minutes to make our food which was disappointing
They are just the sweetest family and make you feel right at home!
wiggle your buns!! I don’t have to wait for you for 20 minutes when my order should have been ready for my arrival!
Great food.
Very tasty food. We were allowed to stay as long as we wanted and pick our own table to sit at. Prices were reasonable.
Favorite Thai food in Pierce county and the best coconut shrimp I've ever had
If you like eating deliciously made Thai in a finer then typical establishment then this restaurant is your place. Usually places of the sort can feel well used but this one could make you question whether or not you should have thrown the button up on before you came. A close-knit staff with a focus on accommodating your meals needs gets top-notch scores from me!
Some of the best Thai food in the area. Always consistent and delicious.
Always delicious! Thai Basil and all the curries are so flavorful. The service is fabulous and the setting is clean and comfortable.
I had to go and loved the food so we went in for dinner and the food was phenomenal - but what really got me was the service! They were so attentive, patient, and fun :) prices are pretty decent and great lunch special that we’ll have to stop in for next time!
Dude… I ordered the Tom Kha soup with prawns.. man oh man I got the worst food poisoning OF MY LIFE!! Not long after eating this food I came home, and was soon overwhelmed with a terrible headache, nausea, cold chills and the sweats.
I couldn’t believe how fast the symptoms onset.. and I’m almost curious on the preparation of the shellfish that I ordered…. Anyway after spending the night vomiting, I had the worst time getting to sleep.
Waking up the following morning some symptoms were still present, but I’m healing.
Just be CAREFUL and DO NOT order what I did. It ain’t worth it.

I live close so I eat here often. Amazing food. Always fast. Always friendly.
If you like Thai food then this place is a must. Everything we ordered tasted delicious, good atmosphere with a relaxing vibe with the fish tank and the service also excellent.
Recommend:
Tom Yum soup
Thai fried rice
Panang curry
Take out experience was very good and the food was excellent.
Food is great, service is excellent!
Love this restaurant, the Sen mee is my go to.
I love this place. Food is delicious and the service is great.
Great food, always clean. Closes at random times. Tonight, for instance, I called for an order at 8:15pm and was told they were closed. Their posted close time is 9:30pm. This isn't the first time they have done this this year.
First time trying their food today. I ordered their fresh rolls with shrimp and peanut sauce, beef pud see ew and thai ice tea. Their fresh rolls and thai tea were super good, no complaints there. The noodles and beef were a bit dry but also relatively good. I got all the food to go and the customer service was a 8/10. The restaurant itself seemed nice. Will be ordering again.
Very hard to find decent Thai food… they break that habit. Very good food for a great price. I’ve eaten here over 10 times and I’ve been happy every time
It was... OK. It tasted like any other Thai place, it was good. But costs a whole lot more. It was $70 for 4 chicken pad Thai and the suggested tip was $10 for take out. Very little chicken mostly noodles. I'll pass in the future
Is my first time at this location. And it was recommended by a friend. I like the way veggies are cooked. It looks like the chef knows what he is doing. 😉
But I think the waiting time was a little longer than expected. Overall I think was compensated by the taste of the food. 😉
Over the years thousands of dollars at this restaurant the last couple years they have substantially increased their prices and shrunk their portions to a point of Ridiculousness. Today is the last time I will choose to spend my hard-earned money at this location. The fresh rolls are mostly made up of lettuce to start with as they have never put more than a couple pieces of chicken in them. Three fresh rolls used to fill up a to-go box. However, today all six fresh rolls we ordered fit in one to-go box. So basically they are half the size they used to be. I paid $24.50, for what amounts to about $5.00 of actual value. Their Meridian location has already closed. At this rate the Fredrickson location isn't going to last long. You still have to give people a good value, but this business owner has lost sight of this! So sad after all these years.
My partner and I frequent this business and we used to go to the Meridian location all the time. I was afraid the food wouldn’t taste the same at the Fredricksen location, but we had to try it out because we loved it so much. Not surprising at all, these guys made everything perfectly. Needless to say, we continue to visit Ayothaya at least once or twice a month. We love the family that owns it and will continue to support no matter where they move!
Best Tai food in Puyallup! Excellent curries and fried rice dishes!
Great place for Thai food - dinning and take outs, I’ve been here several times with my family and the staff is really courteous and hospitable.
Very nice with fine food.
Walked in for a table of 2 and the lady didn’t even acknowledge us then after she did we waited and waited as people kept coming inside she then forgot about us and asked if we’ve been checked in again.. I understand your busy but have some decent customer service please. We were excited to try this place but won’t be coming back after that.
Closed the place in so hill. =/ too far to drive to now. Busy at lunch.
Absolutely stunning decor! Very clean. The food was amazing! Very affordable. Service was good considering they were super busy. Lots of to go orders and the staff was clearly working very hard to keep up!
The food was Great and the service excellent 👍👍👍
Take out was great. Spice delicious. Service wonderfull.
If you like thick and wide rice noodles with peanut sauce, they have you covered here. Not every Thai restaurant seems to have them, which surprises me, because it’s such a great combination.
Lovely decor and great food keeps us coming back!
My go-to for Thai whether it’s take out or dine in! Lovely owners, friendly, comfortable, and quick!
I have never had Thai food better than ayothaya. The meals are literally incredible. I’ve been coming here for years, and not once have I been disappointed. This is the only restaurant where I can finish my whole meal. It’s so so so so good. Thank you ayothaya fredrickson.
Ordered the basil fried rice, it was bland. Customer service was just as bland.
Love this place! The Golden Noodles are to die for and we love the tempura vegetables and fried crab wontons. Excellent service, beautiful decor and adorable fish!
Only restaurant in the world that doesn’t ask spice level while taking dine-in orders, instead assumes and serves with 0 spice level. When you realize about it, they offer you the chilly chutneys to mix it up by yourself .. lol!!!
Great family owned restaurant! We were part of the many regular customers. The food is excellent and plentiful. Service is friendly and efficient.
We love it here! It’s our goto when we can’t choose a place to eat. Can’t go wrong! Everything they have is so good!
Delicious food and fast, friendly service. Cute decor too!
The food was absolutely amazing, quickly made, and absolutely delicious. The service was quick, very nice staff and friendly.
Had lunch for my friends birthday. Ordered chicken paid Thai but didn't get chicken no geen onions or egg. Lots of noodles with some mung beans. Won't go back.
such tasty food and someone kept coming out to make sure our drinks were filled I appreciated it (:
Pad Thai was very bland, and I could not taste the sauce. Maybe they are cutting costs by cutting the flavor. Would not go again.
Very good food and nice people!
Really amazing food, and friendly service.
Sofar I've only been here once, but I plan to go again! Had a craving for padtai and was in and out in under 10 mins!
Love Love Love this place. Always greeted with a smile and, always thanked for my patronage.
Today's meal consisted of Phanaeng Curry with Chicken. All those amazing flavors came right to the surface...dried chili peppers, ginger, lemongrass, lime zest, coriander root, coriander seeds, peanuts and cumin seeds. Also, this soup has green/red peppers and some coconut milk in it as well. Having ordered mine spicy, I was happy this did not disappoint.
My co-worker had my second favorite meal from Ayothaya which was Chicken Pad Thai. Their Pad Thai is some of the best I've ever had. Typically made with rice noodles, peanuts, a scrambled egg, and bean sprouts, among other vegetables, you can also order it with chicken or seafood.
If you want to enjoy a Thai meal that is filling and delicious, You can find them in a couple of locations: Frederickson, WA and Seattle. Well worth a visit.
The food was delicious! Us fat kids LOVE to eat, so I felt the portions may be a lil smaller than I'd like.
It's good. Plenty of food especially enjoy their curry. Three stars not overly spicy. If you like spicy go four or above. You won't be disappointed here. Service was great
Very delicious!! I got yellow curry with white rice. Service was excellent and I will return again soon! Some gluten free options as well.
You can get Better around the area. We asked for not spicy curry and got it extra spicy. Then when we asked for a different one, it took about 8 mins for a non spicy one. Dirty cups and got sat at dirty table. Only giving it two stars because the Thai tea was good
Great service and delicious food! Food came out very fast and the family that owns the business is very friendly!
Good food, small portions. Fast service.
Best Thai restaurant around same owners at 2 locations south hill and 176th. Our food is usually ready in 20min even if they are busy.
Just as good as the original one. Great service too
Good tasting food and the service is fast
Best fried rice I've had at a restaurant! The phad Thai and pad see ew were great too.
Dinner was great! Definitely coming back 😁👍
Red curry was good.
Pad Thai was tasteless and flavors were not good.
Pineapple fried rice was having fishy smell and was also dry.
Food good. Portions VERY smalls
My chicken pad thai was very dry and very bland. The chicken was tasteless and there was a weird and very bitter taste. Also my mango sticky rice was the worst Ive had. I really think this was made the day before and just left out sitting. It was hard/very tough feeling. Wont be ordering from here again. Way too expensive and the food is gross.
I picked up food to go. The older lady at the counter had ZERO customer service. I don't know if she was having a bad day. Food is typical nothing special. Portions are small for the prices. They nickle and dime you.
Food is delicious and they were friendly
The soups here are amazing. Ordered the Tom Yum and the Wonton, they were both delicious. Also got the Crab Delight, it was some of the best I've had. Prices are also very fair.
The atmosphere is also beautifully and thoughtfully done. Refreshing to see a restaurant in the area that actually cares about all aspects of a meal and dinning experience.
Came here for a family birthday dinner, and the food was amazing. Service was great and very attentive as well. When I'm in the area, I will definitely stop back in!
Absolutely amazing food best Thai food I’ve ever had
We gathered here as a family tonight to celebrate my son's 23rd birthday. We had the most amazing food, service was phenomenal, and we left with extra. If you're looking for authentic Thai food restaurant, this is your place! There was not one moment my glass wasn't full, or a plate in my way. They made this day even more special as they provided an experience. We look forward to coming back, and we will make the hour drive again!
Great food and drink with excellent service. 10/10
The fish cakes are the best I have had at any Thai restaurant. The thai coffee is good and not too strong or too sweet. Food portions are good and the staff is very friendly.
Always Great service and excellent food!!!
Oh My goodness this is great food.
Pha woon sen is my favorite dish.
Barbaque chicken, friend rice, the list keeps going.
Idk if they were short-staffed or what but we were seated and given water but then forgotten about for 30 minutes. We weren't acknowledged at all after being sat, we were really excited to try this place out, too. Very upsetting !
Great food, great service!
Red curry was excellent again. 3rd time here and it's still very good.
The only reason this isn’t 5 star is because the menu said wide rice noodles for my golden noodle dish, but they were egg noodles. I am allergic to gluten, so this ended up being a tummy ache.
Anyways… wow. So yummy. Pot stickers were perfect, they gave me the spice level I wanted. Definitely was not bland. I would come back here as long as my dish wasn’t egg noodles.
This is definitely my favorite Thai food place. The service is amazing and the service is always o point.
I ordered their Chicken Wings & Pad See Ew. What I got was 3 chicken wings that were wayyy over done- granted they were crispy but they were overcooked. My pad see ew was not good, not good at all. My noodles were burnt, tasted burnt, hardly any flavor of seasonings for pad see ew and they gyp'd me on the portion size. The meal I paid for made me sad. What a bummer.
Pad Thai was outstanding. Curry left a little to be desired from a flavor and spicy (4* is usually plenty spicy to make me sweat but was barely spicy at all)
Their food is BOMB. When I lived two hours away, I CRAVED this food. Sen yai is amazing, fresh rolls are delicious, their heavenly coriander is to die for. I could go on haha.
Just moved to area, sadly worst Thai ever! I got crab delights ( no crab) chicken pad Thai noodles both noodles and chicken were super dry. They also charged an up charge of $1 for cilantro on noodles. Over all very disappointed. Won't order again!
I was surprised that My group of 6 ( plus a young child ) had 18% gratuity automatically added onto our 3 individual checks… it’s not like we were a really large party. I didn’t like that.
Pad Thai was pretty good as was the Thai tea and coconut shrimp. It was a beautiful restaurant inside and the food came out quick.
I Love This Place They are fast cooking time It’s Very Flavorful And I get the krab fried Rice . I recommend them 100%
This is my new favorite Thai restaurant! The food is amazing here!
I love getting Thai from Ayothaya. My husband and I are frequent customers here. Our favorite is the chicken pad Thai. We typically request for extra sauce and extra chicken. It makes for really good leftovers and plenty to share if you get another dish to go with it! They have amazing curry dishes too!
This place has really good food, but I'd recommend that you don't order anything seafood, not because it's bad, but because you won't get a lot. Tonight I ordered a seafood dish that was shipped to have shrimp, it had two shrimp total. For 15$, that's just not cool. Other than that, the food is amazing. I love the golden noodles.
Great food and friendly service🙂👍
Love this place
Mixed review regarding Pad Thai, chicken wings, shrimp chips, and Yum Yai...
Delicious pad Thai. However, even when you order 5- spicy, it tastes like they only added a bit of pepper so that's unfortunate
The chicken wings are the best and some of the best in the state!
Shrimp chips don't taste like prawns but that's ok because of the crunchy texture and peanut sauce
This is still a 5star restaurant but don't get the Yum Yai unless you want to feel ripped off while you're eating. Tried something new pictured below. Yes; 2 pieces of shrimp, pork and chicken is the serving size for 10.99$
If you can, dine in. Much better than carryout portions and consistency. And as a plus , this restaurant's decor is fantastic!
Love their chicken pad Thai and yellow chicken curry with tofu.
Best food for the price.
Great Thai. Not so great service. I always tip with takeout even though their service doesn't reflect that. I'm here for the food! So thanks cooks, those tips are for you! 😉
Nice place to eat! But lately they are not cooking their food well & done! Last couple times I had stomach issues after eating their “pad see ew”
Food was bland. I have been to many Thai places and love ordering Pad See Ew. This place was horrible. It was too sweet. I could barely finish it. Service wasn’t great either. The person taking our order started walking away while we were trying to complete our order. Portions were small for the price. Would not return.
Curry and Pad Thai combo was excellent!!
quick service and always fresh and delicious
