Summary:
Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai food. My wife and I came for dinner, and we were thoroughly impressed with the authenticity and flavors. The curry was exceptional, and while the papaya salad was a bit too spicy for us, the other dishes were adjusted perfectly to our spice preference. I’m giving it five stars for the overall taste, authenticity, and excellent service. If you’re a fan of Thai food, this place is a must-visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.
Ambience (4.5/5):
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing dinner. The restaurant has a cozy yet vibrant vibe that complements the bold flavors of the food. It’s an ideal spot for both casual dinners and special occasions.
Authenticity (5/5):
The food here is very authentic, and that’s what really impressed me. The curry we tried had a rich and traditional Thai flavor, exactly what you’d hope for. The papaya salad, while delicious, was a bit too spicy at the level we chose (3), but the staff made sure the spice levels for the rest of our dishes were just right.
Flavor (5/5):
The flavor of the dishes was spot-on. The curry was rich, well-balanced, and full of the vibrant spices that make Thai cuisine so delicious. While the papaya salad was spicier than we anticipated, the other dishes were adjusted to the perfect spice level for us. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes like their pad Thai, which we haven’t had a chance to sample yet.
Cost (4.5/5):
The prices were reasonable for the quality and authenticity of the food. The portions were satisfying, and considering the excellent taste and service, it’s well worth the price.
Service (5/5):
The service at Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen was top-tier. The staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate our spice level request on the other dishes. The overall dining experience was smooth and enjoyable thanks to their excellent service.
Tips for Visiting:
1. Be cautious with spice: The papaya salad at level 3 was too spicy for us, but the staff adjusted the spice level on the other dishes we ordered, so don’t hesitate to ask for modifications if you prefer a milder experience.
2. Try the curry: The curry was recommended to us, and it didn’t disappoint. If you’re unsure what to order, this is a great choice.
3. Great service: The staff are attentive and quick to accommodate requests, making the dining experience even better.
4. Plan to try more: We didn’t get to try the pad Thai this time, but based on the flavors of what we did order, I’m excited to return and explore more of the menu.
I recently visited Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen in the Alderwood Mall area in Lynnwood to celebrate my birthday and ordered the Thai Red Chicken Curry, Pad Thai set, and a fresh coconut. While the food was flavorful and the portions were satisfying, I felt that this outlet didn’t quite match the quality of their Kirkland outlet. The flavors were a bit milder, and the presentation didn’t have the same finesse I’ve enjoyed at their other location. However, the ample parking made it convenient, and the overall experience was pleasant.
We celebrated my step-daughter's birthday there recently, and wow, everything about this place was wonderful! It was my first time eating here, and I think this is now my favorite Thai restaurant. Delicious food presented beautifully on the plate, exquisitely fresh herbs and spices to delight your taste buds, no joke! 🍲🥗🥣🍚🫖🧋🥢🍽Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food, and the service was outstanding with friendly, attentive staff. We will definitely be making this our regular go-to for Thai! 😋
Great spot for Thai! I got a chicken curry with noodles and the portion was very generous for lunch. At a 1 spicy level I felt it was pretty mild and tasted great. The chicken was super tender. My friend got the fried rice and that was fantastic. Service was friendly and quick. The interior was cute with lots of vintage rattan elements.
This restaurant is our go-to spot for comfort food, and it never disappoints. The crab fried rice and pad kee mao are highly recommended, and the crab stir fry in yellow curry is particularly flavorful. The service is fast and excellent, making for a pleasant dining experience. Don't miss the young tender coconut drinks—they’re refreshing, and you can scrape out the coconut after you’re done.
I can't say enough about both the food and service at this place! One of my favorite lunch spots!
Our food was a bit slimy and overcooked at the same time. The egg in the pork stew was like a rubber ball.. My husband and I felt sick right away.. We were so hungry and excited. Our night was awful after that experience.. Our first and last time . . We ordered from door dash..
Great cosy atmosphere, the servers were very kind and did a great job. The food was great!!!
Was and we ordered the soup which is very, very salty. I don’t think I’ll go back in.
Business travel this week and this has been the best place so far in the area. Everything was great. Beef fried rice, curry, nibbler app, mushroom app. Service was very helpful.
I just dined at Isarn, and while the food was excellent, the service left much to be desired. The dishes we ordered were flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine that we were eager to enjoy.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. We waited approximately 15 minutes before being acknowledged at our table which was fine but when our server finally arrived to take our order, they made a comment about one drink being happy hour pricing while the other, ordered just literally 2 seconds later (as part of the same sentence!), was not. While we were fine paying full price for both drinks (they were well made), the comment felt unnecessary and left a poor impression. Additionally, our food came out at completely different times, with a 30-minute gap between dishes, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal together.
Great food cannot make up for inattentive service and poorly managed timing, and this experience left us disappointed overall.
Also Alan, if you are upset about having to work the shift because you’d rather be bartending, I suggest you get a job at a bar.
Friendly service. The fried rice was really good.
Extremely rude waiter
Food was amazing and the chicken wasssssss ssooooooooooo gooooooood no cappp. SO YUMMY FOOD
We love Isarn Thai soul kitchen.
Who does like Thai food, if they haven’t been in this place before, they should definitely give it a try, I guarantee you no regrets.
You will be impress with their quality of drinks and food.
Place is very cozy.
Staff very friendly!
The customer service was extremely rude, accompanied by a dismissive attitude. The online description for the Pad See Eiw was misleading—they removed all the vegetables from the dish, claiming that my selection of adding Chinese broccoli (they added just the stems) meant excluding the other listed vegetables entirely.
Additionally, the crispy noodles in the Chiang Mai Curry Noodles were disappointingly soft, and the supposed “vegetables” amounted to nothing more than a tablespoon of chopped onions.
One of the best authentic north-eastern Thai food you can find in the area.
2024/12/24:
We’ve been to this place before but our food this time wasn’t the greatest. We asked for medium rare for our crying tiger and the cuts on the top of the stack was good but the cuts on the bottom of the pile were all fatty and rare.
The food is so excellent and elevated!!!! Get the eggplant salad. Loved.
Just thinking about coming to Isan fills me an immense amount of joy lol, we came here on a weekend for a late-ish lunch and we still had a bit of a wait but we just hopped off to the shops nearby for a little before they texted us back (not a long wait by any means)
They were quite busy and had to wait for both our order and the bill BUT it is well worth the food and you can tell they were trying their best.
Crab Fried Rice 5/5 the flavor is just so zingy on your tongue it’s a mix of salt, zesty and a touch of sweet that’s just the best that’s out there
Fire Cracker Jumbo Prawns 5/5 I burnt my mouth on these things just cuz they looked so good, I couldn’t help myself. Beautifully cooked and great taste
Thai Grilled Beef Salad 5/5 This would be a dish a definitely recommend to try at least once, I have not been able to NOT order this ever since I tried it, deliciously salty with lots of lime YES PLEASE
Chiang Mai (Khao Soi) 5/5 This noodle curry is a MUST, it’s flavorful and a little decadent but so much umph and so filling I love it. It’s both soft and crispy noodles and the chicken is on the bone but tender soft, you can just look at it and it’ll fall off.
I’m telling you guys, the place is a must visit if you haven’t already and I love this branch as the almost wrap around windows and wooden everything is a plus!
Great place in Lynnwood to pickup some great vegan thai food. I love-love-love the fact that they include a separate Vegan/Vegetarian menu!
My pictures aren't all that great because we ordered via Uber Eats and instead of a nicely plated dinner at a restaurant, the food was bouncing around in a box while being delivered lol, not their fault at all, couldn't be helped.
The food itself was really tasty, the flavor for all of the dishes being very on point, the noodles and tofu in the Pad Thai serving the perfect 1-2 punch, the Tofu with Thai Basil bringing the freshness with the greens, and the Mushroom Fritters brought it all home with the umami flavor and sauce to tie it all together.
I'm also including screenshots of their online menu to give you an idea of all the great options they have available. In my next visit, I'm going to be torn between going for the Mushroom Fritters again or maybe the Sweet Corn Salad, or possibly the Cabbage with Black Pepper! Either way, I can't wait to try them again!
The food was so-so. The pad thai was too sweet and lacked any other flavor. But more than the food, we were put off by the host who seated us at a table right in front of the door. When we asked for a different table, he said all other tables were taken when there were at least 3-4 empty tables in the restaurant.
He was also very rude and did not know how to talk to customers.
Everything following that interaction, including the food, was downhill from there - so much so that we did not feel like ordering anything more than a basic pad thai (which was not on the menu !!! and this is a thai place???) - and that too was too sweet for a pad thai.
Will not return.
We ordered the following food items and they appeared to be left over. The chicken had a terrible taste and smell in both dishes. We wondered if it was old from day before.
- Isarn Set ( lunch menu) -,Hat Yao Fried chicken
Sticky rice was microwaved in a nylon wrap.
- Phad See EIW- chicken had a bad taste and smelled. Scrambled egg didn’t look like or taste like an egg.
Nice place, with professional service and amazing food. It's well priced too. I recommend the pork stew and the curry egg noodles with chicken.
Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen is fantastic—definitely one of my favorite Thai spots! The food was amazing, with great flavors in every dish. The fried rice with Chinese sausage was especially delicious and really hit the spot. If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful Thai food, this place is a must-try!
My husband and I came here for lunch, and shortly after, we both started experiencing headaches and stomach pain. We ended up vomiting the entire meal into our toilet and felt very sick. I believe the food was not fresh. Very disappointing experience.
Ordered lemongrass chicken wings, eggplant salad, duck noodles, pad see maw, crab fried rice, and crab sewey. Very great flavors, coming back for more. Best dish is pad see maw. Worst dish was the eggplant salad. Some people liked it but still kinda ehh. This restaurant is a bit "unique"
Best crying tiger steak. I came back for it with week. The crying tiger steak smells good. Has a lot of fragrance. Very tender. For $20, it Tasted better than a $70 steak at a steakhouse.
My Gramma and I always have a wonderful time coming here. The staff are always polite, friendly, helpful, and do a very good job of checking in on us in a timely manner. The Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and Thai iced tea are our favorite dishes and drink of choice.
I recently visited Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen in the Alderwood Mall area in Lynnwood to celebrate my birthday and ordered the Thai Red Chicken Curry, Pad Thai set, and a fresh coconut. Good food, friendly service, but kind of to small and overcrowded eating space. Some people sit very close to entry the door, and cold air blows away napkins and food.
Isarn Thai in Lynnwood delivers an exceptional dining experience that impresses on all fronts. The grilled eggplant salad was a masterclass in balancing smoky, tender eggplant with fresh, vibrant herbs, while the Pork Strips with Crispy Basil offered a satisfying contrast of crispy texture and rich flavor. The Chu Chi Red Curry stood out with its velvety, perfectly spiced sauce, beautifully paired with fragrant Jasmine rice. Dessert was a revelation—the Durian Sticky Rice, easily the best I’ve had, featured creamy, ripe durian complemented by perfectly prepared sticky rice.
One delightful surprise was how quickly the food arrived after ordering. Despite the complexity and quality of each dish, it felt like only a few minutes before we were served, adding to the seamless dining experience.
The ambiance was just as impressive. Although we were seated near the kitchen, the space remained quiet and intimate, making conversation easy while maintaining a sense of privacy—a rarity in busy dining spaces.
The service was impeccable, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and subtlety. The staff was always present when needed but never overbearing, which my introverted companion especially appreciated. We were never left wanting, yet the servers blended into the background, allowing us to fully enjoy our meal.
Isarn Thai is a must-visit for those seeking authentic, refined Thai cuisine in an inviting setting. With quick service, incredible food, and a perfectly balanced ambiance, it stands out as one of the best dining experiences in the area.
Isarn is always the best Thai in town
Excellent wings and papaya salad. Pad see ew needs more broccoli. Negative comment would be I hate restaurants that add the automatic % tip incorporating the tax into the calculation. It seems sneaky way of tipping themselves a higher %. This place does that. Food is 80 bucks add the tip to that not the 90 bucks with the tax.
Quality keeps on getting lower so the service.

Great food and great vibes. Service was so fast and nice.
My friend and I had dinner at this restaurant. The waitress was really nice, but the food was terrible, and we ended up feeling sick and had to detox afterward. I didn’t even finish my meal. We ordered lamb satay skewers that tasted like beef liver, Phad Kee Mao that was too sweet and salty, and the Thai green papaya salad wasn’t too bad. The lemongrass wings were actually kind of good. Overall, they used way too much salt and sugar in everything.
This is a place that actually puts effort into their vegan menu. Food is really good too. You can even get the thai tea with coconut milk instead of dairy
Great food! Fast service! Good pricing
The worst Thai in WA state, rudest staff ever & even though they state their kitchen closes at 9pm on a Saturday, don’t be fooled they chase you out at 8.40pm. We drove 2 hours which included a ferry journey to dine at Isarn. We forgot Seattle is still a remote backwater and very parochial, the super boring population likes to be in bed by 8pm, a stark contrast to cosmopolitan NYC & Miami.
Loved it! Great service. They were fast and friendly. The restaurant is made with brick and wood and has an industrial bistro vibe. The food was the best part. I recommend the red curry with prawns. Delicious sauce with just the right amount of sweetness. The prices were very reasonable. I will go here again.
Nasty! Flavorless vegan pad Thai noodles. Clumped together which means they are not cooked correctly. I also got a bitter expired limón with my meal. I regret supporting this restaurant. It was a take out order and I did not receive utensils, I had to request them.

Judy,
I am not able to reply but I will do it here. My take out order was placed around 6pm Friday August 30th.
The red curry is the best!!!
Nice selection, tasty food and good service.
Very rude customer service. No one smiled so stern and they seemed to be rushing us out. Did not like the food so spicy and lacked flavor. Both entrees were same ‘level’ of spice but when we tried each others food one was way too spicy. I will not be coming back here.
The seafood curry was delicious!
This restaurant is our go-to spot for comfort food, and it never disappoints. Service was very fast and very delicious! Waiters were very attentive. Highly recommend!
Our server, Mindy, was great! the food was really good, we ordered a lot. Fried chicken entree, crab stir fry, crab fried rice, and mango salad. I will say one thing, if you are a crab fried rice addict like me, Siam 65 will give you more crab fried rice. However, the crab stir fry had plenty of crab. It was all so good.
Went in for a to go order, they almost forgot my drink, I asked for utensils 2 times and none were in the bag. I got home and the vegan pad Thai was the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had, noodles were stuck together in a giant clump, extremely flavorless.
I appreciated the authentic tamarind pad Thai. But the instant Thai tea was upsetting at $5.25. The seating isn’t super comfy but the food was delicious. It came out in like 5minutes for myself.
absolutely amazing food. the taste, flavor... yummy yum yum 😋
Tiya was our server when we visited and absolutely loved her energy and going above and beyond to accommodate us. Skip the long lines and wait times at the Kirkland location and come to this one instead! They even have the Khao Man Ghai which isn't on the menu at other locations. Good food, great outdoor seating for the summer alfresco dining. Minor suggestion is that the coconut jelly dessert is a bit too sweet, but hey, it's dessert, what can you expect ? Also, the squid isn't deep fried in salted egg, more like likely stir fry. I'd recommend it only if you enjoy stronger original seafood flavors
Isarn in Lynnwood is my favorite Thai spot. I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. I typically start with an appetizer like the Mini Isarn Wings, which I am addicted to now. They have a unique sweet saucy flavor. I also ordered the pork strips which is a nice crunch and goes great with the fried garlic.
The Thai Beef Salad is a good balance for protein and veggies. I got the 3 star spicy level. They really do make it spicy, just fyi. For dessert, the Seasonal Mango Sticky Rice was a delight, with ripe mango and creamy, sweet sticky rice enhanced by coconut milk. The service and drinks are always great too!
YUM
My favorite Thai food in Lynnwood by far!
Everything I got was good: wings, fried rice, pah see ew, pork belly, seafood curry
This place has delicious food. I highly recommend it.
Our favorite Thai restaurant in WA.
When we got here happy hours. Had a couple of appetizers. Reasonable price and very satisfied. The staff was also very friendly
Updated ********
We ordered 2 pad see ew and mini chicken wings.
Wings were okay but the pad see ew was awful. We always order the same dishes and the same spicy level. I ordered medium spicy but it wasn’t medium at all. Immediately my stomach got hurt from the pepper. Our server wasn’t nice. They don’t really care about the customers. It has changed and my second dish they made again for me was also bad. Too salty. Never coming back
Nothing special here. Its always a bad sign when a restaurant doesn't give utensils unless you ask for it
One of my favorite local spots, everything I’ve tried on the menu is so good! Some of my favs: basil pork, crab fried rice and papaya salad.
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting Thai food or wings!
Best authentic Thai food I’ve had.
There’s a reason this place is busy. We ate here twice over 4 days while visits the area. Very kid friendly. Curries, noodles, etc everything came out hot and fresh. Very balanced flavors. Nice staff 😊
Very delicious and satisfying food! Great service and staff seemed to genuinely care for our opinion on the food. Amazing Thai tea and very nice, cozy interior. Music was so fun and overall I would definitely go here a lot. One recommendation or comment is i guess is that level 1 spicy is not spicy at all and then level 2 is borderline too spicy. There should be less of a jump from spice level 1 to level 2 in my opinion. Other than that minor detail, I absolutely adore this restaurant, the coconuts as well! I recommend the salted egg and squid dish.
Disappointed with my choice of order here. I ordered the snapper dish and was looking forward to the entree. After receiving the order, there is a flame that keeps the fish nice and hot but I had a concern of the sauce splashing on my clothing. Examining the fish I started to tell it was lacking meat. I asked the waitress to remove the flame and place the fish on a separate tray. As I thought, the fish did not have a lot of meat on it. For $31 I received the equivalent of 3 sardines along with much sauce and some veggies. I understand they use wild caught but I must have received a bad fish as snapper I have had elsewhere was meaty. The other food looked delicious and the service was great so I will give the fish another chance.
Left photo is of the whole fish and right photos displays the small amount of meat from the fish.
Great!
First time coming here. Everyone else’s food was really tasty but mine, the minced lamb, was bad. I ordered 2 star and it was unbelievably spicy (I usually don’t have a problem with spice). Under the spice the flavor was difficult to discern, but pretty mediocre from what I could tell. The texture and taste of the lamb itself was pretty disappointing.
I am not the type to usually do reviews but I have never had a experience like this before, when my boyfriend and I first arrived on Monday the 29th at 8pm atmosphere was not very welcoming, I understand I came about an hour before closing so maybe they were over their work day but I was so shocked after eating their very AMAZING food the waitress handed us the machine we pay with and told us we HAD TO pick one of the options for tip then I said I was going to tip cash and she then demanded the cash right away (I still was packing my leftovers and needed a few minutes I would have left it on the table) but I did give it to her directly and I was truly appalled. As good as this food was, the service will be the reason I never came to back.
Got a seat with no reservation on a Saturday night about 6pm. Lightening fast service!! Food came out so fast after we ordered. Everything was flavorful- pad See eiw, firecracker shrimp appetizer, red curry chicken and mushroom soup. Yummy. Had enough for a little bit to take home for lunch the next day.
Go for it best thai meals
It was dinner date. “Alan” comes to the table. He looked tired and annoyed already so I knew it wasn’t gonna go well. We are vegetarian and the menu did not specify whether they could cook the same dish without meat so we ordered 2 Vegan to be safe and I told him, we are vegetarian but egg is fine. He goes like *rollin his eyes*“So it’s a non-vegan?”. I said “maybe? Im just telling you the order”
*visibly annoyed* he says “That’s all? What spice level between 1-5” I said 3.
The dishes come out and when I tasted the first dish, I knew it was a bit spicy then I thought I don’t wanna talk to this guy again. With a few bites I realized I’d rather eat lava.
I called another waiter and she was so nice and let the manager know about the dish . Manager walks over and said they only go upto spice level 3. Alan has struck again.
Manager told us that kitchen is closed so he will just take this dish off the bill and he did.
Whatever we could eat, the taste was really good !! We drank so much water coz we were breathing fire with just 2-3 bites.
It’s a good vibe restaurant with tasty food, I can tell and Alan is making sure customers don’t come back.
Food is hella good and came out pretty fast
Great Thai restaurant located in Lynnwood Alderwood Mall area. Really had a quality mail there with my wife and enjoyed it very much. Find it to be one of the better type food places in our area so many good things to choose from on the menu with a bit of variety and diversity from other Thai restaurants. Making this a great destination to try.the staff and service was on par and everybody who worked there seem to be very friendly. Definitely we will be going back. You should too.
Its been a while since I’ve been back (pre-covid) and the food is still as yummy as I remember!
Parking: Shared retail parking lot
Pet friendly: No
Family friendly: Yes
FOOD:
1. Mushroom Fritters Hed-Tod-Nga (Sesame battered crispy oyster mushrooms with sweet plum dipping sauce) $10.50: 3 Stars – I wont be ordering this again but glad I tried it. The flavor is okay but the mushrooms seemed like they were undercook as they weren’t really golden. The best part was the sweet plum dipping sauce.
2. Crying Tiger Sua-Rong-Hai (8oz grilled ribeye steak marinated Thai style served with a dry chili tamarind sauce) $18.75: 4 Stars – I’ve been craving this for weeks now and super happy I got it! The steak was grilled perfectly to my medium rare and the sauce was very flavorful. I did have TWO things I wish was better – the cut of the steak… it was so thin LOL and the sauce had no heat. I solved that problem by take the fried chili oil from my friend’s curry noodle dish.
3. Lamb Massmum with Roti (Australian lamb with potatoes in a hearty brown curry served with a crispy flat bread and small cucumber salad) $21.25 + Sticky Rice $2.50: 4 Stars – The lamb was so good. Nice flavor and texture. I wish I could sub out the potatoes with more lamb! I’m pretty sure the roti was deep fried as I’ve never seen it like this before so I don’t know what they were doing in the kitchen.
4. Chiang Mai Curry Noodles (Egg noodles and chicken thigh simmered in curry soup. Topped with crispy egg noodles w/ pickled mustard, red onions, lime, and fried chili oil) $15.95: 4 Stars – great flavor and a lot of noodles! I wish the curry was a little thicker as that’s how I like mine but that is a personal preference
DRINKS:
Thai Iced Milk Tea – soooo good. I cant even remember the last time I had Thai iced tea. I always want to make it at home just so I could have it whenever I want but the bag the tea leaves come in is way too big LOL
MENU/RESTAURANT:
I love the design of their menu. They put a lot of thought in the menu – presentation and the items themselves. Not sure if that makes the food seem more active but two thumbs up!
The restaurant is pretty small but nicely decorated with Thai art and kitchen items that make it very homey but pretty. I’ve never been here when it as super packed that I had to wait ::fingers crossed:: which shows they have a steady line of folks which reflects why they are still around post-covid.
SERVICE:
Everyone here is super friendly and always checking on us without pestering. We did have a funny moment when one of the server was trying to take the curry noodle from my friend before she was done. To be fair, her bowl looked done LOL
Great service, friendly staff, but food was average, not as good as other locations, portions are little smaller as well. Feels quire more pricey than other locations I’ve tried.
I love the bar! Such amazing atmosphere, pretty packed for a Monday!
The name is what caught my eye at first, thai soul kitchen is different. The food was great and filling, my boyfriend had the red snapper and I had the phad thai, I think they switched our spice levels on accident, so I got the hotter dish, but it was still delicious because we love spice anyways! We had got level 2 and level 3 for spice. The server was very sweet too, was very attentive.
Legitimately great. Leaf nibbles/miang kham are amazing.
Had lunch for the first time here today. It was crowded (good sign), but wait wasn't long. Ordered the chicken Phad Thai. The food presentation was beautiful, food so delicious, portion was large, and servers and cooks friendly. It is definitely my Thai go to place now. I can't wait to try more of their menu items.
Great food.
Solid food , amazing service and lovely atmosphere at a reasonable price
We got the spicy grilled chicken soup, chiang mai chicken curry noodles and the unique and flavorful thai coconut dessert.
Each and every item was unique , flavorful and touched the soul.
Truly a soul kitchen .
Highly recommended!!
Some unique, and very good 5 star dishes, mixed with some just ok dishes, in 4 star ambience. I would visit again but just for drinks and appetizers.
In the past I gave this place a good review, after our last visit I couldn't justify it anymore, so here is an updated one- service is very inconsistent, this time it was horribly slow, unpleasant and dishonest. We intentionally ordered the kids food first, it still took 40m, the rest of us ate in turns with every dish that came after, for over an hour. The food is ok BUT we asked for vegetarian dishes, which apparently just doesn't exist (!?) So instead of offering the dish with tofu and vegan sauce, they charged us an extra 2 dollars for an egg per dish which we found out only at the end of the meal, we would appreciate it to know before. At no time they apologized for the time it took or explained all of the additional costs.
Best Thai food in the area!
Came in for lunch and it was decently crowded. Parking lot had plenty of spaces so that's always a plus!
But let's talk Food!
Isarn Fried Rice with Salted Beef was divine!!
They had salted egg layered in with the rice giving it a nice extra starchy texture but still retaining that eggy goodness! And that Beef looked like dried bits but were actually really tender!
Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were pretty standard and fairly decent.
Khao Soi was pretty good! The curry was well seasoned and we poured that all over the other dishes!
Thai Iced Milk Tea was actually pretty delicious!
Overall, the bill came to roughly $69 with taxes before tips, for four big dishes with one drink. That's very well priced!
We'll definitely be back!
Isarn is exceptional. The taste and style of the food is unique and extremely delicious while being at or below the average price for other local dine in restaurants. The food is beautiful, unique, varied, and has its own distinct flavor and artistry. It is unlike any other Thai restaurant I have tried. Even familiar dishes have a slightly different spin, an artistic voice, it seems. The elevated nature of this menu never fails to delight me. Try the phuket pork belly stew. It is heavenly.
If you are a thai food lover, this place is a must try. Although I've had a few disappointing experiences when ordering via Doordash, eating in is always terrific. My favorite item unique to Isarn is the sweet young coconut dessert; it's incredible, an absolute must with every order. My favorite items are the phad see ew (although with delivery it's hit and miss- please don't short change delivery orders!), the Isarn fried rice (love the unique flavor of the sausage), and of course, the sweet young coconut dessert.
Excellent food! Everyone ordered something different, and we needed up doing family style.
The food here is amazing! Deep, rich flavors, and a lot of care goes into the overall experience and presentation. The Chiang Mai curry noodles were bomb but our favorite was the Isarn Noodles with coconut milk. Lettuce wraps were a great appetizer and not spicy. Would highly recommend!
I’ve had a decent experience at isarn in the past but today I order a 2 star dish (I’m breast feeding and sharing with my toddler so I didn’t want too spicy) I had to throw it away after two bites. It was SO spicy and had an insane amount of chili on it. Extremely disappointing to throw a whole meal you paid for out. especially when you were really looking forward to it.
Great authentic Thai food. Bit on the pricey side and takes away from the authenticity of Thai street food but the flavors are there. The whole menu is great! Fried rice with salted egg is to die for
Best Thai food here and best service
Wife's new favorite restaurant for the closest thing to authentic Thai food in the greater Seattle area.
Isarn Thai never disappointed , I ate in many of their locations and all are good . I ordered Kao Man Gai with Skin On this time , it was excellent the chicken was tender , the rice cooked with chicken broth i guess was very soft and tasty , the sauce was pretty good but I would love to had an fresh chili on the side and I always love meal come with broth on the side , also love that this place have room temp water unlike most place give ice water which imo was never good idea , especially after you eat a hot food , samething with the cucumber was perfect temperature.
The portion was perfect for me since I don't eat much but for other this might be little bit small , if the restaurant can offer extra meat that could be great for other customers , also if the water cup had slice of lemon and peppermint would be great improvement .
My meal after tax was $16.60 , which is very good price and the place atmosphere was warm and cozy , the service is better than most of other restaurants so I love to come here .
Such unusual dishes prepared perfectly.
Door dashed -I got vegan pad Thai. Very oily but had good taste. Thankful they had vegan options and that it tasted good. Would eat here again.
Absolutely ridiculous that they do not give rice with their curry. It’s listed as a dinner and yet it does not include the simple components that make this dish. I have ordered a dozen times and have never had this issue. Prices have been raised and yet you take away items as cheap as rice. I have raved about this establishment and recommended people to go there but I will no longer. Food quality has gone down hill and now they don’t even provide the basics. DO NOT recommend.
Good foods! But please make sure that you guys include everything for the take out and double check the orders. I ordered steam rice with papaya salad they put sticky rice instead 🤦🏻
I have visited this restaurant at two different locations. Both share an excellent vision of what Thai food should be. I have had attentive, friendly service. The atmosphere is lively, and the bar is fun. Try the sauteed beech mushrooms.
Food is delicious. Try the pad Thai, mini wings and Kao Man Gai.
The food was delicious and were kid friendly.
Lovely Thai place. We were seated right away and the servers are friendly and quick. The only reason for the 4 star is it felt like they were trying to rush us out by the way they brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert, etc..
However, this place is worth the try. Reasonable prices and easy parking!
My go to Thai restaurant when I’m in Lynnwood. I’ve tried a lot of their dishes. The usual popular Thai dishes like Phad Thai and Phad See Eiu are tasty and authentic. I also like some of the dishes that you don’t normally find in a Thai restaurant: snapper, Hat Yai fried chicken, minced duck salad, and street food. I like their lunch set like Isarn set. Prices are great for the portions they give. Great customer service and atmosphere. Great place to hang out with friends. I also like that we can watch all the cooks prepare and cook our food.
The BEST! Thai restaurant ever!!! The staff is just so so wonderful, kind and funny! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, plus the food is out of this world! 🤩 if you're looking for amazing authentic Thai food and desserts, with amazing service and a great atmosphere, this is the place!!
Excellent!
