Thai fusion food
We've been here many times, but I wonder if they are going out of business? At the very least they only care about the take out business because our dine-in experience was terrible!
Our waiter forgot half our order, but no one ever checked on us so we sat with one entree for 4 people until finally we were able to flag someone down. There were no water refills or any wait staff to be seen, so no one noticed that we were unhappy until getting up to get someone.
The restaurant inside was not busy at all, but the ding of the online orders was constant and annoying. We had to order our food to go because it took so long and we did not receive a discount or any condolences.
The restaurant is also pretty dirty, but the food is good.
We usually like dining here or order to go! As of late it has been disappointing with the food tasting oily, lack of flavor or tasting only spice in the food (my stomach would hurt afterwards). Tonight, I found a short black hair in our Thai fried rice as I was digging food out, right away I was grossed out. After giving this place many tries since the new cook started a few months back, we won’t be trying again! We ended up tossing out the food we paid for! I recommend looking elsewhere!
I ordered over the phone, and my wife went to pick it up. When she got home, I saw that they had charged us $2.50 for extra ground peanut and $2.50 for extra ground lime - on two dishes - to a total of $10 extra for a few lime wedges and a little bit of ground peanut. We've asked for that at every Thai place we've ever gone to in the past 30 years, and have never been charged for it, so I didn't think to ask. And they didn't mention it. I checked their website after we picked up the order, and they list things they charge extra for on their online ordering, and this was not among the list of things they charge for. So I called and talked to the guy, and his response was a very lackluster "sorry". I very politely let him know that no one else does that, and that it's not cool to charge almost an entree's worth of charge for something so small - especially without telling us. He pretended that the call was breaking up, and then hung up.
This was such yummy thai food! Our first experience with takeout here was amazing. Ordered food online, it was ready so fast, and we took it home to eat. I got the pad thai with vegetables, tofu, and shrimp. It was amazing! My boyfriend got the chicken fried rice, and we shared some of the ladyfinger spring rolls! Sooo yummy. Will definitely be back.
Similan Thai Cuisine is one of our top spots for Thai food in the area. The food is consistently incredible, with bold and unique flavors that make every dish stand out. We usually go for the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Tom Kha Soup, and they’re always delicious. The Coconut Prawns are another great choice—crispy and full of flavor.
My wife and I have only ever ordered takeout, but the service has always been great—friendly, efficient, and reliable. If you’re looking for high-quality Thai food, I’d highly recommend Similan Thai. It never disappoints!
Yummy food. Fast service. The music is a bit loud and bumpy.

Good food

The restaurant is also pretty dirty, but the food is good.
Most expensive Thai in town, but it's also the best for most dishes.
Awful, crispy chicken tastes like day old meat. Burnt and hard as a rock. The taste of the cooking oil over powers the flavor of the sauce.
Issaquah has many great Thai restaurants, but Similan is THE BEST! The quality of the food is consistently fresh and delicious. They have fast and friendly service and their staff are always very professional. Lots of vegan options too. Even my picky eater husband likes their coconut prawns. My family loves Similan!
Outstanding food and great service
I stopped by between appts for lunch and had a couple emails to send out. The first thing I asked was if they have WiFi, I was told yes... Once I sat down and was ready to order, I was told that they weren’t going to give me the password bc the manager wasn’t there. I had to pack up and find another place to eat.
My son loves the peach mango juice, pad thai and I love the pad kee mao.
This place has great food. I'm a pretty picky eater and this place has always satisfied me everytime I have eaten here.
Comfortable atmosphere
Coconut Shrimp! The best ever. Nice veggies, crispy duck red curry...wow, great flavor. Excellent service. Will be back to try more.
Great customer service, even with a late to-go order they were super nice. Thank you
Best service and food you'll find.
We went with a group of about 16, arriving for an early dinner. We had reserved space in the back room. The waitress was helpful in getting us seated, getting our orders, serving us, splitting up the checks in a useful way, and being cheerful and friendly along the way. The food was good, as always. I got to taste both soups, which were very tasty. My noodle dish was seasoned and spiced perfectly, just as I like it. The others at my table were also pleased with their food.
Great lunch menu. The Phad Thai can be a hit or miss, but is excellent on their good days. The staff is okay; they're fast and always get your order right, but nobody's all that friendly.
Average Thai place in a strip mall. Prices are still reasonable considering the latest prices increases in the area. Dining room is small and can get crowded at lunch time. Staff is friendly and efficient.
Food was good. Though the Pad Thai noodles was overcooked and mushy. The Eggplant is salty
Great service and excellent food. Great presentation and clean area. 👌
Very nice place to eat with great food and customer service!
I ordered the lunch special of green curry - non spicy, with no bell peppers substituted with broccoli. It was very spicy (tasted like a level 2), had bell peppers and no broccoli. The taste of the curry was kind of bland, it was just spicy. Totally disappointed with my lunch and most likely will not go back.
EDIT: In response to your reply. I understand if my requested changes cannot be made, but your servers need to be up to date in their training then. I called in on June 29 at 12:04pm. My receipt says Maya on it. She was very polite and lovely.
I’ve eaten here since they opened and have always loved it. I moved to TX ten years ago and am back on a visit and had to come back and make this my first meal. Still the same amazing food as always. Never disappointed here.
This is by far my go to for Thai food. We use to live in Washington and moved to texas and they just do not do Thai food justice. So every time we come back to visit this is an absolute must for us.
Met friends for dinner, great portions for family style eating, or having leftovers. The food was delicious! The Pad Thai is addictive
Nice staff with great experience. Tasty food with reasonable price.
Food tasted ok but portions were small. Presentation of food not as good as most Thai places. Charged extra for tiny bowl of white rice
Flavors are good. We always go for the chili basil fried rice.
The fried duck dish today hinges a lot on the sauce and that was a letdown. Felt like a store bought ginger soy rather than anything made from scratch at the restaurant.
Booths have very upright seats. So don’t expect to relax but be alert and focus on the food. Too bad I the start to find faults in the food. 😃
Excellent quality, incredibly tasty food. We ordered takeout and it was ready exactly when they said it would be. Highly recommended!
I wouldn’t complain about the food. But I found a piece of plastic in my pineapple fried rice, and I told a server about this and he took it away. But then when I got the bill, the fried rice (14.95) was in the bill and they gave me a $4 discount to compensate me. I had to fight with the manager to get that dish off my bill.
Whether the food is great or not is irrelevant when the experience was not pleasant. The portion is definitely smaller than Bai Tong.
Not going back again.
Great food. A little pricy though
Pad Thai basically just noodles with a few green onion bits. Cashew chicken, chicken was very dry and tough. Also lunch portion was small for price.
This is a hidden gem!
Great food and service. The atmosphere is welcoming !
Phad Thai chicken was ok. Noodles were short, overdone, and I ordered 2 stars, but it doesn't taste any spicy. I was quite disappointed but the place was nice inside.
Great spot for good Thai! Gluten free options are clearly labelled and the staff was fantastic.
I love how the menu has easy to see gluten free options. I totally appreciate that little thing. Great yellow curry! Can't wait to go again.
Went here on a team lunch and tried multiple items. Nice place with clean tables and hospitable staff.
Great service, amazing food
Excellent food, don't leave without trying the Pad Thai, and excellent service on Xmas eve. Thanks for making our celebration great!
The garlic chicken is amazing. They bring you your food surprisingly quickly, which is nice.
The only “complaint” is that the spice level can vary a bit depending on who makes it. A 3 could be a 5 on a different day. I have an ok spice tolerance so this isn’t a huge deal for me, however the person I was with was sensitive to it and wasn’t able to handle the heat. They gave her a new dish free of charge and let us take the other one home.
So err on the side of caution with the spice if you don’t take heat well, but aside from that this place is fantastic
We only ordered green chicken curry and pineapple fried rice. And they were both excellent. No wonder the place was busy for lunch.
We have tried multiple menu items and everything has been delicious.
Good Thai food! I got the red curry and it was just like every other red curry I’ve had, except I think all the “spicy” was at the bottom of the bowl and by the time I got to the last few bites…my mouth was on fire.
Portions are smaller then small. Tried it out again and now they have even smaller portions then 3 months ago. No protein and tons of onion. No flavor. Panang curry taste watered down. Prices are more expensive as well. Was giving this place another try but now we won’t return for sure. No receipt had to ask twice.
Good food as usual
Edit: just realized they gave us someone else's leftovers. Very disappointing.
Original review:
Good food, good service and everything was kept clean.
gosh i love this place. i used to come here a lot in 2018 and loved it then. lately after trail runs i’ve been ordering the tofu fresh rolls with peanut sauce and the pot stickers for the drive home and it’s always made soo fast, the people that work here are so kind and the food is absolutely delicious— love that they don’t overcharge for fresh rolls like everywhere else! anyway had to write a review before i forgot to!
Staff were pleasent, food came quick, and the fried rice and phad thai were great!
Food was tasty but missing something and we couldn't quite figure that out, perhaps salt? Our server was very nice and professional.
Prices were a dollar more than what was listed in the menu we were given which cost wise wasn't a problem but a surprise when you see the bill. This is misleading. Online menu for take out is an extra 4 dollars more per dish.
Best Thai food in Issaquah. Really nice employees and really efficient service. The atmosphere inside is great!
I have eaten here since 2017 and it was one of my favorite Thai places. I’m not sure if new ownership took over, but it seems like things have gone downhill the last 1.5 years. The food is hit and miss, and although prices have understandably gone up, they cut other things that now are not part of the dish.
Curry is an entree, duck is an entree, yet they come with nothing on the side, not even rice.
I never had this problem years ago, and I don’t have this issue with the lunch combinations. Lunch combos are decent (as long as the cook is good that day).
I’d just say please include a side with your entrees or try to ask people who call in who would expect the entree comes with rice as other Thai places include this. So now I have a container full of curry with nothing else & my husband is eating $20+ duck with nothing. Really frustrating. I mentioned curry isn’t a soup meant to be eaten alone. The man on the phone said people make rice at home. I don’t expect to get takeout and have to finish making my meal at home.
I never leave google reviews, but after about 5 instances in the last 6 months of things being wrong on orders, I’m now frustrated.
Please go back to how things were.
One of the best Thai spots in the Issaquah Valley.
Food is really tasty.. But service was poor, the waitress was very inattentive and was showing attitude.
This is an updated review.
They had a period of time where their food wasn't nearly as good but I've tried again multiple times now and quality is back.
Their food is delicious, haven't had a bad batch in months ❤ favorite Thai place in Issaquah.
Очень понравился Том Ках, заказал средней острости, ну очень вкусно! Всем рекомендую.
Arrived at 7:45 and turned me away, stating last seating at 7:45.
Didn’t like pad Thai was expecting tangy sauce and peanuts.
Best Thia food in Issaquah.
The crispy garlic chicken is the standard that all others should be judged from
The food is average; not bad but also not special. Service is also average; not rude but also not friendly. I felt rushed when they were taking the order but it was fulfilled accurately and quickly. Prices are good for the portions. The ambiance is nice. I would eat here again but wouldn't go out of my way for it.
I forgot to take a photo of the delicious meal we had. Fast, friendly service and amazing food. I'm going to have to go back next week. I had the garlic delight with chicken yum!
First time eating here and the food wasn’t great. I ordered a spice level 4 for the chili red paste fried rice - which was not spicy at all. The pad Thai was bad and had a weird taste. The chicken in both dishes was overcooked. The chicken satay was good.
Has gone down hill!!! Dry, salty and expensive for the quality. Cup of ramen would’ve been better.
First time tried Similan Thai restaurant.
Great flavor. Enjoyed my meal. Definitely going again.
Change your hours or don't close 45 minutes early.
An old favorite! Still great quality and service after not visiting for a few years!
Love the staff
Great Thai food, love the Pad Thai and Curry, for sure worth a try.
Absolutely delicious. Very tender calamari, the Phad see eew is a real hit with me!
Good pad thai
Fried calamari were good. It was soft and delicious.
But noodles with chicken were bad. They end up to be noodles with both pork and chicken! Vegetables were cut on large chunks. It wasn't tasty. I think it was worst Thai dish, I have ever eaten.
Rude employee
We have been here a total of 3 times. The other 2 times food was good service was ok but overall decent. Tonight that was not the case. Not only was our server Sekson not attentive, or polite but short! I had to speak loudly several times to get someone's attention to ask for condiments. To top it off, once our food arrived I asked to add a side order of shrimp. When I received my plate of somtum mind you I asked to add shrimp it only had 3 SHRIMP! I have never received 3 shrimp. I asked if that was correct he said yes, and if I wanted more obviously I would have to add another order of 3!! I said it was ok and carried on. After I finally started to eat, which I was looking forward to my dinner very much so I found a hair!! What's more upsetting is his reaction or lack of. He asked if I wanted my.plate to be taken away which obviously I replied yes, he then proceeded to take it with not one word!! Not ONE!! I was expecting an I do apologize, I'm sorry something, NOTHING NOTHING AT ALL. Seriously upset and just.plain disgusted. To top it off I asked to speak to the manager, he couldn't even look me straight in the eye kept them looking everywhere else and the only thing he said was where were you sitting and I'm sorry about that. Apparently this place is a custom to having customers complain not only about bad service but hair or other stuff in their food
Really poor management and rude service. I came to pick up my order and I stood there for 20+minutes with no one in the front desk even acknowledging the crowd of ppl who are waiting in line. Ended up waiting for another 30 minutes with no clear communication from the staff, and no apologies at all. This is not the first time this happened. Extremely inefficient and frustrating. And the food quality is just meh. Will not come back.
Poor customer service.
Food is OK but the attitude is RUDE! Ordered online for me and daughter. To share a dish since daughter can’t eat spicy food, I checked the “chilly sauce aside” option in the special note. But guess what? They completely ignored the note and my fried rice is covered with red chili peppers. Now my daughter ended up with nothing to eat! Husband went back and told the guy at the front desk the order is wrong, the guy’s response is simply “that’s not how you order it” So it is our fault for not ordering it right? What are we supposed to do? Can’t you give us a call if there’s a question rather than making an assumption? We are not asking for any refund and we were actually planning to order something not spicy for my daughter, but the attitude of the restaurant is just disappointing.
Food and service were amazing!
First time trying Similian Thai Cuisine. The food was alright nothing amazing. Our red curry was extra spicy compared to choosing the same spice level for everything else. There tofu wasn’t the best quality fried or soft. I would also say it’s a little pricey and not a lot of protein in each meal we picked.
Great satay!
The fried and fresh spring rolls were good. Fried were better than fresh. The pad thai was shockingly bad. I'm not sure if this was an off day for the cooks, or this is the regional style, but it bordered on inedible. The noodles were incredibly mushy and the sauce was closer to tomato sauce than tamarind sauce. It was like eating squishy spaghetti. I have pad thai at least twice per month from different places and this was hands down the worst I've ever had. 2 stars for the decent appetizers and quick service.
The best local Thai cuisine available. Fresh Pad Thai, succulent garlic chicken and the best satay sauce on the Eastside. Consistently good service and food that could only arrive faster if you were to call ahead your order before being seated.
Some of the best Thai food I have had! The eggplant dish with tofu is great, just remember to order a cup of rice to go along with it.
Excellent service, great food and awesome AC for dine in on hot day.
Took us an hour waiting
I didn't like the service food ok
Poor customer service. The hostess was unwilling to accommodate a simple request for them to make my food for a to-go and allow me to get a table if a table came up while I was awaiting my food. I was ordering curry and it's a bit difficult to eat it in my work truck. She even blamed it on covet and said it was a rule that she could not give it to me for a to-go order and then allow me to eat it in the restaurant. Plain ridiculous. I didn't think it was an unreasonable request. Unfortunately I will not be dining here in the future.
Great yummy food!
This is one of the best and authentic Thai in Sammanish. Have tried other options but stick to it. Best one so far were Tom Kha soup pineapple fried rice and pad thai
They have the best Thai food in the Sammamish/Issaquah area. I’m sure others will debate that but this is the place myself and family prefer in the area. Takeout is fast and efficient.
Manager seemed upset when I asked for a togo plate as I needed to eat in my car.
We love this place..our go to for Thai food .All The staff specially Addy are great ...
Forgot about this little Thai place for awhile and i recently remembered it. Convenient, fast online ordering and the Thai food is some of the best around.
Great takeout option. Try the crab fried rice! 😊
Avoid at all cost! The restaurant gave me spoiled pad se ew. Something in the dish went bad and they gave me a super hard time about getting a refund. I waisted 30+ minutes for the food, had to drive back down for a refund, and was still starving by the end of the ordeal.
Great food and experience for my first time ordering takeout at Similan. I ordered via Google and it was super easy. After placing my order at 5:35pm, it said food would be ready by 5:59pm and it was. When I arrived the lobby was a bit crowded so I waited outside for a few minutes which was fine. Got plenty of food for the price! Will definitely come back.
This place just keeps getting worse every time I go here. Last time they forgot to tell me that rice needs to be ordered separately. This is a new policy so they can charge more for it. (Their words. Not mine.) This time they forgot to bring my order out to my car. After waiting a long time I had to go back in to get it. No appology either time. Just a blank look from the lady at the counter as she put my order on the counter.
It was great!
I get takeout from here all the time and occasionally dine in as well - food is always amazing and staff are friendly :) Love Similan Thai!
Food is really bad and the staff is Unprofessional. Worst restaurant I ever been
$14 for a tiny papaya salad that was not very good. Will not be returning!
Best Thai food restaurant in Town and regions.
Just called, someone picked up and hung up. Called back, a woman picked up, said nothing and maintained a conversation with another patron for over 30 seconds then hung up. They will never get our business again. We ate there once and it was too westernized, we were going to give them a second chance but not anymore.
If I can give zero star I would. We placed an online order yesterday for Mother’s Day and we understand it’s a peak business day and as only takeout option that it might take a while to get it. How about waiting 2 hours and the rude lady just saying” cancel your order online” when we went to pick up the food. If you can’t make it, why accept the order in the first place. This place was getting worse with customer service even before the social distancing and we like fools wanted to help our local small business and placed an $70 order and waited for food with 2 hungry kids. With this rate you will not have any customers coming in. Worst place with worse customer service.
We ordered takeout for the first time here and just loved how flavor some everything was. We highly recommend the pineapple fried rice, Panang curry and the fresh rolls with shrimp.
One of two places I eat Thai. Authentic and delicious
Spent $40 bucks on Pad Thai and calamari. Not worth it. Pad Thai didn’t come with rice, like most other restaurants. Calamari was fine but the pad Thai was disappointing. I wish Nasai Terikaki was open later :(
Not the best in town. I got red curry which was good but not awesome
Horrible customer service
The food tastes wonderful (Yellow Curry is my favorite!) and this has been our go-to spot for our family’s splurge night so Mom doesn’t cook. Sadly, we wanted to support them during this difficult time but our order on Wednesday, March 25 was a huge disappointment. The Panang Curry not only got reduced in portion size from previously but there was hardly any veggies in it. All the entrees now come without rice (what?!)! We ordered 4 entree items each for $12.95. That’s a ridiculous amount money for hardly enough portions to feed our family especially with no rice included. I want to support you but not by getting no goods in return. This is sad to say but we won’t be ordering from you again.
