A wide menu of familiar Thai dishes is a casual, comfortable setting.
This was only place that has short wait for Saturday night. Not in the picture, pad Thai was sweet and flavor was off. I cannot point out what is off about the sauce. Penang chicken look like red curry, not red curry, different ingredients in red curry. Steak entree, visual looked good, needs more flavors, it needed spicy Thai sauce. The meat was cook medium well, we used butter knife trying to cut meat into smaller piece. The meat did not cut like a butter. We also ordered Tom yum, it was on the sweet side, should be more sour. The satay and fish cake were good. Those are the only two dishes that we enjoyed. The service was okay. I ate here before and the foods were better.
Bai Tong has lost its authenticity since COVID hit! I regret every time I order food and come back thinking this time it would be better! Fried rice made with frozen vegetables is not restaurant standards! If you cannot cut your own vegetables then it means there is no authentic folks behind the stoves! Chef’s special should be the star items but this Chef’s noodles has seen far better days! I’m going to stop coming here for sure! Two thumbs down!
We ordered jungle curry and pad Thai to go. The food was awful. Jungle curry ( Kang Pa) was not curry/thick at all. It was like a soup. Pad Thai was very dry. Very disappointed to come home hungry and open the food that is not edible, which went to trash. We had to order dinner again!
Been coming here for years, even as the service and food quality has become more hit or miss over the last year or two. But today was the last time. It seems like they've drastically changed a lot of the recipes. The Phad Thai we got today tasted like straight ketchup and noodles, with a hint of peanut and lime after we added them. The beef has tasted slightly off on two visits now. All the fried items in our recent order were burnt and possibly cooked in old oil. It was hard to get any sense of garlic or the normal sweet sauce over the flavor of burnt oil from the Garlic Chicken this time.
Looking over other recent reviews, I see we're not alone in noticing the drastic drop in quality. Sad.
I've been to this location many times, so I've gotten a chance to try a lot of things on the menu - especially the noodles. I've had the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Pad Khi Mao each several times. My favorite of those is the one I got this time - the Pad Khi Mao
I've found that this place does Pad Khi Mao very well.
The combination of the sweet sauce and soy sauce works really well to coat all of the noodles and impart that flavor to all of them
I asked for extra tofu, and they certainly gave a lot of it with my order. This type of fried tofu is more shallow-fried than deep-fried, as there's no batter on the outside and it's cooked with light amounts of oil instead, but I did think it was pretty soft for the most part - even though I prefer the type with the brown exterior rather than the white one
The egg is a fantastic addition to this dish, and it's present throughout. I thought the vegetables were also great in here as well.
My favorite part every time I get the Pad Khi Mao here is the wide rice noodle. It's just the perfect texture - it functions as many pieces of a thin blanket that tastes good both on its own and as a vessel to convey either the egg or tofu. The noodle just feels so smooth and goes down so easily with each bite
What disappointed me this time, compared to other times, though, was the spice level. I asked for four stars, which should be pretty spicy. However, what I got resembled a one or two star spice level. There was just absolutely no spice at all in here. I'm not sure what happened here, because in the past I've asked for four stars and it's been a lot better. I guess they're just inconsistent
I also got the Bangkok Soda this time - it was fine, not much to say about that
For the price of around $20, the portion size is pretty decent, and one plate of noodles is more than enough for a person
Overall, I found this to still be pretty good, and definitely will come back here, although I've had much better in the past. 8.25/10
FINALLY! A place that rivals Got Rice from Snoqualmie, which ever so sadly, bit the dust. I am a picky eater, and have found NO ONE who makes Cashew Chicken as well as Got Rice, until I came here!!! DELICIOUS!!! The atmosphere is lovely, the service stellar, and the Food, well, I WILL BE BACK!!! Oh, THANK YOU Bai Tong for making my night!
The service at Issaquah Bai Tong was awful. We were made to wait for 30 minutes, even though half the restaurant was empty, with the excuse that those seats were only for the weekend. On top of that, despite clearly requesting vegan food, they served us a dish with egg in it. It completely ruined our evening. We won’t be returning to this place again.
Went here today and the overall experience was not great.
Firstly, The lady at the reception was not friendly and moved us after making us sit in first place and she was kind of rude about it.
Secondly, our rice had hair in it which just made me loose my appetite.

This is a nice go-to for date night. Most of the menu is great, but I love the balance of heat and sweet in the red curry in particular. The fresh rolls are good, but the peanut sauce makes them sing
menu is misleading. Ordered the savory garlic delight with chicken and it was pictured with some fresh vegetables. it didn't come with any vegetables. Also rice is not included and extra and so should also be noted on the entrees menu. Waitress was rude when I brought up my concerns. Will not be going back.
The service was ok, the ambiance was nice. The food however is a whole other story. First of all, they did not use any of the essential Thai herbs or veggies. No lemon grass, Thai basil, galangal root, etc. there were no good dessert options available though the menu listed several. We had the green curry. My friend returned there for thanksgiving and the vegetarian Thai Green curry was served with a dead cockroach! Not anything to be thankful for! This will be a place that needs to be reported to health folks! We certainly will never be returning or ordering from them again!
Today was our worst ever experience at Bai Tong in Issaquah. We had a family visiting us with their two year old and we brought them to Bai Tong. Two of the waitress(es) who attended to us were extremely unfriendly from the time we entered and it almost seemed like they didn't want us there. We would have stormed out if not for the 2 year old 's schedule. We were given a wait time of an hour which was magically brought down to 5 minutes in no time. After we sat, we were trying to explain the fact that we were vegetarian but the waitress shut us out saying we have a button for vegetarians that takes care of everything. The icing on the cake was our green curry having a dead cockroach in it. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. We won't be going back there anytime soon.
The food is pretty good but the service is horrible and I’ve ordered take out and eaten in more than 10 times . Service is just head shaking they always rude elitist and unapologetic it’s odd . They are often out of things and the cat staff is young anything and not equipped. I’ve seen the hostess staff be rude to others . Food is not nearly as good as it was a few years back . I’ll find a new place
Lunch was delicious! So many authentic and fresh flavors. I'd definitely recommend this place, and will definitely be coming back!

I don't understand service people! Rudeness=NEVER coming back. The food and the drinks were absolutely wonderful and I wish I could give five stars... But this rating clearly has to do with the customer service we received from the manager Marie
We went with some friends last night for dinner to have a great evening. Our friends have a little four-year-old boy. We were seated at a great table that had tons of pillows, and my friends were actually sitting on the side with the cushion. Now let me first go on to say, four year-old have energy, they laugh, sometimes they rambunctious! with my friends little boy did have lotta energy, but he also had his iPad.
Our server was absolutely wonderful. Took our drink and appetizer and we were sitting there laughing having fun with our friends. Our friends four year old decided that he actually wanted to go to the table and walks on the cushions over to that other table and sit with the pillows. The Marie went over and SCOLDED my friends four year old, and here's where I have the big problem... She had also said that she felt a little boy shoes were dirty and didn't want them dirty up the cushions. First of all if she had a problem, she needed to talk TO THE PARENTS not the four year old... That was not her place and had that been my child. I would've had words with her!! My friends pulled the little boy back and then we heard Marie say to a server "please clean the cushion from his shoes". . my friends little boys shoes were not dirty and made no mark on cushion... So that was strike number 1.
We were sitting at our table eating our appetizers and drinking our drinks and Marie came over and said to us are " are you guys done with this table? We need the table". . We all looked at her & my friends wife said "what are you talking about". . I looked at her I said " ma'am we've been here 30 minutes and we haven't even had our dinner.". She looked dumbfounded and said " oh you haven't had your dinner... ??? ". She walks away and then comes back and says " oh I'm so sorry. I mistook you with another table". By then my fiancé was done and turned to me and said "we are never coming here again because of the service we just received from her".
Marie then came over to us later and said " I want to apologize. I didn't mean to offend you... ". Her tone did not sound sincere. and at one point my fiancé just said "thank you we're good... ". He didn't accept her apology he felt it was half ass and fake.
we paid the bill and left after about an hour and a half there. We actually wanted to stay a little bit longer and we're planning on ordering dessert, but in no way where we going to give more money to that business.
MARIE you need to do better. If you want to learn how to be a great manager and a server you need to go to Dukes in Bellevue and talk to Wendy, she is absolutely incredible and she knows the right way to take care of customers, so they will come back and patronize your establishment again!
At this point, we have absolutely no future plans are returning to Bai Tong... Tons of other great Thai restaurants that we can givr our money to.
Definitely a go-to for casual Thai food. They're dishes are slightly on the pricey side compared to most Thai restaurants in that they're served in smaller portions. However their flavors are good and very consistent. Their service is also very good. The Highlands location gets pretty busy so for groups I would definitely call ahead, but often I'll just get take out or eat at the bar and their very attentive, if a bit disorganized at times. It's a great weekday/weekend option.
Food is tasty and enjoy eating there. Service is great, food comes quickly. But it is a little pricey compared to other Thai places my girlfriend go to.
Yellow curry was delicious.

Food was good but big long hair in my to go curry! Gross!
Decent place for thai food in east side.
The food is very messy, the noodles came all dented and the chicken was very little, the glass of water was still dirty inside. The Nibbana Thai in Bellueve is better!!!! The food in this place is very poorly made.
This was only place that has short wait for Saturday night. Not in the picture, pad Thai was sweet and flavor was off. I cannot point out what is off about the sauce. It used to be our reliable place to go to for a quick dinner option, but we might need to explore other options, which there are plenty in Issaquah.
We took our family for a dinner before we could have a small birthday celebration at home. Horrid and quite aggressive customer service experience. When we got to the place we felt completely unwelcomed, whatever we ordered for drinks, they were not available, missed a few items from our order, no follow up with us whatsoever (so we couldn't even tell the food was missing), brought the bill (with the items that we never received of course) and basically pushed us out still hungry, surely we didn't feel staying anyways. Food was good, as always.
Never taking family or guests here again.
Probably worst service I have experienced. Disgusting!
I would go to Redmond location or other good Thai restaurants in Issaquah.
Reliable place to go and dine with clean cutlery and utensils, attentive and courteous staff. I've been here for a full lunch and also for just my evening tea and no matter my appetite, they've served me well. They serve a wide range of tea options and give great attention to keeping the beverage hot and flavorful.
i ordered dine in pad thai and it doesn’t even taste remotely close to pad thai. it is super sweet and wet and soggy. it taste like ketchup and sugar. servers did nothing about it even though i clearly didn’t take any bites out of it. server did not do anything to make up for it (send it back, make new one, 15% discount) NOTHING. Also their green paper napkins DYES stuff green. I got it wet to clean my shirt, and my shirt turned green.
Very less spice eventhough we order 5 for all dishes .
Food is fresh.
The cashew nut with prawns is wonderful!
Ordered pad ki maw. Was so bad. 4* hotness was probably a 1*. Large lumps of noodles that was boiled hours ago and just tossed in some sauce. The lumps didnt even separate in the pan. All stuck together as it gets if boiled noodels is just left for hours. Tastless bland. Complete waste not coming back ever. Stay away from this tasteless place.
The prices are just insane, they are divorced from any concept of reality. $6 more for beef if I don't want tofu, chicken, or veggies. They are charging $6 for a side of RICE. Their food is my favorite of any Thai restaurant in the area, but I can't afford to eat here anymore. $6 for RICE!
Nothing remarkable about this place, just would not recommend unless you live within walking distance and want Thai food. Bai Tong Thai is generally overpriced for the quantity and quality of food you get. There are a plethora of other Thai restaurants within a 5 min drive and throughout the Eastside region, that provide better quality and value for money. Portions are small, Tea is exorbitantly expensive (you get one tall mug, with a tea bag for about $5-$7), and rice is not included with most entrees and thus an extra charge (this one seems to be becoming a norm unique to the Seattle/Washington region, and I am not sure why as rice is one of the cheapest things and should be included). Besides that, the service and food was adequate, however will not be going to any other Bai Tong Thai restaurants and will more likely opt for more local options when wanting Thai food.
My family and I have been to this restaurant since I’ve been in elementary school, I go to college now. I have to say I’m really disappointed by the change in quality/quantity of their food. Over the past year, the flavor of the food has been changed to have less flavor overall, and when I tried to order spicy food, a five star is not as spicy as it used to be anymore.
Quantity has been shrunk immensely while the price has increased throughout the years. This restaurant used to be a staple in our family, but I’m sad to say that we will not be going to this restaurant anymore.
Rude.
If I could give a negative, I would. I went for dinner and was so diappointed by the quality of food. We have eaten at the bellevue location a couple of years ago, so figured this wiuld be the same. It was not!!! Or maybe all bai tongs have gone down in quality. It was the worst quality of thai food I have had and Im a person who thinks its really hard to mess up thai food, I love it. But man, bai tong was just awful. Food had a strong fish sauce flavor in every dish. Dont eat there!! N
Just gross. Hard, old, stale. And their health dept rating is VERY POOR.
Best thai food in town
The Tom yum seafood soup is great but the green curry was too spicy! Even going with 2 on a scale of 5 as they recommended was way over to traditional Thai green curry I have had in the US and in Thailand. Recommend the chef to lower the chillies.
Best Thai food and service anywhere.
Great spot to eat! Pad Thai was very good and the drink selection is great. Thoughtful service and a nice clean restroom.
I've been dining at Bai Tong since early 2023. But lately, it's been really disappointing.
First off, the hostess seemed disinterested and indifferent to my presence. It felt like she'd rather be anywhere else but there, and asking her anything was like talking to a brick wall. Last time, I ordered their pork ribs, and they've rushed to bring the dish and must've forgotten to cook them all the way through. They were practically raw. Then, just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I dug into their fried rice. It used to be a well served portion with lots of ingredients. Now it's like they're cutting corners left and right. Less stuff in it, more plain rice--it felt like a cheap imitation of what it used to be.
Overall, Bai Tong used to be my go-to spot for some solid Thai eats, but now I'm not sure. I prefer to go elsewhere for a Pad Thai.
Have never been disappointed - our go-to Thai in the Highlands area.
At this point, I am only reviewing service on the phone. I understand it's a busy evening, but I've been placed on hold for over 20 minutes and cannot even place an order for takeout. Please have a better system.
My husband ended up ordering from another establishment while I was still on hold.
Nice menu. Most of the dishes are very tasty.
This place is AMAZING. Their pad thai, curries, spring rolls and their AMAZING crab wontons are must buys. This is a great place to order takeout of for a relaxing meal with the family.
We love to bring family of friends here when they come to visit. Bai Tong never disappoints.
Not every item was worth ordering again, but certain items were great!
Try crispy garlic chicken 🐔
Overpriced and overrated.
The waitress was rude and with bad attitude.
The Meang Kum is extremely good. It allows you to customize each leaf to your tastes. As someone who likes a lot of spice, I was filling every leaf with those amazing green chillies!
The Pad ke Mao was absolutely phenomenal, and the wide rice noodles have such great texture and flavor.
The Yellow curry was quite good too, and it comes with a side of white rice, to better enjoy the original taste of authentic Thai yellow curry.
Some of the food had non authentic ingredients like broccoli, but they only served to enhance the flavour
Atmosphere is really cool; there are a variety of seating options from low tables, couches, regular booths and upholstered chairs.
The food sucked, especially in comparison to the Redmond location. We ordered crab rangoons and they came out burnt even after we asked for a new batch because the first was burnt. The pad thai was subpar and presentation was not as nice as the Redmond location.
Service was terrible. My partner and I have both regularly been servers and understand the food service industry. The server had a busy section, but was never seen on the floor taking care of tables. The food runner and bartender mainly took care of us and only because we asked.
1 of 2 restaurants that has had food worth the price, so far.
Tried the crispy chicken at 1 other thai place in issaquah and it is just not as good.
If you get a spice level below 3- i could see how it may be sweet- but levels 3-4 make the nice balance of flavors.
Ordered online to take out. Easy ordering process. With lots of options. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, excluding the pineapple fried rice. It was really bland.
Food was good, customer service was below average. If you're looking for a tasty meal, this is a good place to go. If you're also looking to interact with friendly people, maybe skip. For me, nice goes a long way so I won't be going back.
Large chunk of raw chicken in the Pad Thai. Restaurant staff was extremely rude and not at all concerned about the situation. Their exact response was “what do you want me to do about it.” I notified management and got no response. Zero. This place does not care if they make people sick. I hope no one gets seriously ill. Save yourself the food poisoning and eat somewhere else.
HVAC must have been broken. It was probably 50 degrees inside the building. Everyone's in a jacket. The service was non existent. I wanted to order some tea to warm up but after we were seated our order was taken, dropped off and then we were never seen again. The food tasted fine, nothing to write home about, portions are small. The lack of service and environment ruined the meal entirely. If this is supposed to be an upscale thai restaurant they are failing at it.
terrible front desk, rude lady.
Good food. Portion size OK. Spring rolls need some improvement
The food was delicious and the vibe was very pleasant. The only drawback is it has very limited vegetarian options. Also, if you don’t eat egg mention it exclusively while placing order.
We had Fried Spring rolls, Chilli Fried Rice and Swimming Rama (Tofu). Would definitely recommend the Chilli Fried rice.
Great Thai food. A little expensive
Awesome Thai food!!!
Been coming here for years. Won’t be back. We were at this location the past 3 Sundays in a row for dinner. Service is almost nonexistent. Their priority is take out. No one ever, ever returns to the table to fill water, check in, etc. Every time, we’ve had to flag someone down for water, chilies, everything. There are so many other great Thai restaurants out there. We’ll be going to those in the future.
Sadly one of the most bland pad Thai I’ve ever had. It just tasted like over-boiled mush with a “hint” of ketchup. The fresh spring rolls were also fairly dry. 3 stars for the service. We did a to-go order and the food was ready to go and fairly warm when we picked it up.
We stopped here for lunch on our way back from rattlesnake lake. We got a bunch of stuff and the service was okay. We started with the appetizer plate which was okay. The spring rolls were nice and the same for wontons. The fish cake was okay. We also took gai hot bai toey which was nice and tasty. For mains I got the spicy fried rice which was nice. I would recommend that. We also got the pad khing which was pretty good as well. It was spicy and the ginger made it even better. Overall a good experience
Nice restaurant in Issaquah.
Some of the best Thai food I've had. So good and great service
Best Thai place in Issaquah / Sammamish. We order delivery often but the dine in experience is always refreshing and great.
Today my FIL wanted his noodles a little wetter and they were so nice and accommodating. Service was A+
Ate here 2x and had sub par experiences both times.
First time ordered a dish, server clarified my order and gave me an abundance of information on how they can make the dishes vegan and then brings me not 1 but 2 of the wrong dish made with chicken. I very politely stated I just ordered 1 dish and repeated which. She ended up getting a coworker involved and both kept asking me to repeat my order which was a very straightforward (on the menu!) thing and we’re huffing and puffing which was puzzling since I was calm. The 1 thing ended up being over $28 despite being on the menu as $18. Was drenched in super sweet sauce and had almost none of the listed or pictured vegetables in the end.
Next time food was just bad. Really overdone sauces and almost no vegetables in any of the dishes we ordered. This is not a fresh rendition of Thai. Go to Umi cafe down on Front Street instead. Better ambiance and much fresher food.
Our go-to Thai place on the East side. Go with 2star food.. 3star gets spicy!
Rather disappointing lunch. Hot food was mediocre, over cooked. Fresh rolls were good. Service was great though. Tables and floors were sticky, and the bathroom needs attention. This was my friend's favorite Thai restaurant. That's why we came here for lunch. I won't be back, I doubt she will either unless dramatic changes are made.
Worst Bai Tong in the county. Service is slow, portion size is smaller than other Bai Tong restaurants in this area.
I ordered Chilli/Basil fried rice and drunken noodles and spring rolls. They fried rice was burnt and missing standard ingredients like carrots and cucumbers. Drunken noodles were average at best. I asked for water 3 times, but the staff just served promises of water. I had to go to my car and bring in a bottle of eater after 3 tries. I’m not going to dine in here ever again.
Amazing food. Everything is perfect.
It's really expensive now and the waiter forgot to pack one of the dishes. 3 dishes with medium portion cost us over $90. I don't know when I'll go back again.
Amazing food, nice restaurant, young waiters, the only thing is that it’s closed at 9 pm
Called to make reservation, but was told they don't take reservations.
For party of 6, was told there will be a long wait, so I arrived 20 min before the rest of the family members. Told the host that we have 6 people. She told me it will be a few min. There were other family waiting also in the lobby. Maybe she thought we were with them. She sat them and a few sec later, she asked if we were with them and I said no. Then, she made this frustrated face and sighed. What was her problem??!! She sat us down a few min later. when the other half arrived, even before they sat down, the server asked if we wanted to order. I told him, give us time to look at the menu. We ordered soup (large) and some dishes with fried tofu. First of all, the tofu was bad, you could literally taste it right away. Had to return two dishes with bad tofu in it. Ordered with soft tofu instead. We were all sharing the food obviously and that's what I told the server. The server has no basic sense. We had to ask for bowls for the soup. Plus, at asian resturants, normally server asks if you want chopsticks if you are Asian. This server didn't. We had to ask for them. There were 6 of us and they automatically charged service fees. I didn't want to tip them 20% for that kind of service tonight. Bai Tong, if you want to charge customers 20% tip, you need to traine your servers properly. And please monitor food quality. You can get someone really sick from eating your gone bad tofu. My sons who can't tell the difference because they are too young ate the dishes before I found out. Hope they will be OK. $150 wasted tonight.
Great Thai food
Stale food - most of the food tasted like frozen food warmed up before serving.
Service - poor courtesy.
Love the food and the ambiance. We sat on the low seating tables and it was a special experience.
The food here is actually good. But the restaurant closes at 8pm. What kind of restaurant closes at 8pm? Yesterday, I walked in at 7:52 because I wanted to order to go food; I was yelled at by a passing waiter: “WE ARE CLOSED!” Maybe one day, when I’m 86, I might want to eat dinner at 5pm. But during the summer, in the Pacific Northwest, 8pm seems a reasonable time to eat dinner, or at least pick up food to go. 0/10.
It's a little pricey, but the food is good. They forgot our appetizer, but as soon as we pointed it out, they got it out right away. The plum sauce with the crab wontons is the best I've had.
Love the food and the ambience. Ground level sitting was fun and great experience. Glad that they serve food that can be made without Oyster oil, fish oil, etc. Taking away 1 star for service and the rush to close our table.
Delayed To Go Order.
I ordered through DoorDash Storefront from Google Maps.
I went to restaurant after 35 min, and when I arrived they said, they don’t even recognize the order, only to find out that it was on a different tablet which they didn’t see.
Had to wait another 35 min to get my order.
Pretty unsatisfactory with the service.
Amazingly delicious!
Bai Tong is a good place for some tasty tai food. I’ve been coming here since I first moved to Issaquah almost 7 years ago. I really like the low key and yet fancy atmosphere. The food, drinks and service are great, although the Tai Sukiyaki (first pic) had a flavor that was so bad I couldn’t eat it. Other than that everything else I’ve tried over the years has been good.
Very kind and efficient staff. Delicious food!!! I come here every now and then as a treat. Love the pad thai (basic I know). Everything is always so flavorful. Thank you for dinner! :)
Really good Thai food and very friendly staff. Although it appears the take out has started to decrease in size relative to the increase in price. I get that maybe foot traffic has slowed somewhat, but the decrease in portions size is very noticeable.
Side note, eat the fresh rolls day of. It doesn't do well overnight in the fridge.
Poor gal was working by herself but it was flowing normal where people were seated on time and service was good.
We’ve ordered three meals 2/3 was hot and our garlic chicken was cold to the touch and extremely tough chew like beef jerky! My assumption was someone ordered it wrong earlier and it was given to us since we ordered it given why this only entree was cold and tough to chew.
The waiter brought our cocktails 30 minutes after we ordered. Than we ordered 4 dishes. Only 2 of them arrived (so 1 hour later we just cancelled the rest of the other).
In addition: "Happy Hour" menu is available only at the bar.
Crispy Garlic Fried chicken is so good.
Always good food and service.
Food was quite ordinary
Got food poisoning from Issaquah location. Do not order anything from this place. It's poison
I understand this is a Christian owned eatery, and I appreciate that. Atmosphere was great, and private. I had the Pad See Ew, how I judge a Thai place. It was divine! Cooked perfectly, and tender, not mushy. Ten out of ten, hands down.
We have enjoyed bai tong but the Issaquah location was really bad from front desk to the bar, even when we sat in the bar area. The servers are trying their best but clearly understaffed and under-supported. We just ordered our dinner to go after how long it took for appetizers (with chicken satay already not available at 530pm) and average drinks. Will stick with the redmond location next time.
Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be really good. The food smelled very bad and the soda was gross, wontons were burnt. Waste of $$
Enjoyed dining experience here a couple times. The leaf wrapped chicken appetizer was very good, sauce made it quite delicious. The royal beef noodle was also very nice, it was a touch sweet for me but good nonetheless. Crispy garlic fried trout was good as well. The skin was absolutely fabulous.
The cocktails were decent. We had the mango drop and lychee martini. (Eating the lychees after the drink was really good). I've had the crispy garlic chicken before. It was good but I wasn't blown away by it.
This was a take out order.
The dish I ordered had no taste. It was very bland. I believed the chef forgot to add salt to the sauce. I called. Whoever answered the phone quickly brushed me off. She said she would let the chef know. She didn’t even asked what I ordered. Very poor customer service.
My wife and I live in Issaquah and eat here often. The food is consistently good--as good as any other Thai food I've had, to include Thailand itself. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is typically competent but seems to have a high turnover. The one thing I'd like to see them do, that I've seen elsewhere, is to steam their rice in banana leaves to impart a nicer flavor to it. Still, a minor critique to an otherwise good choice. Although Issaquah has around six Thai restaurants, this one is the best in my opinion.
Nice atmosphere. Great food.
I'm sitting in the parking lot now. Got there an hour before closing and they refused to seat me, after the hostess spent about 5 min on the phone not even acknowledging that I was there. Guess they don't really want customers eating here?
Swimming rama is sugar and peanut butter. Way too sweet and no depth. Potato soup way too salty and tasted canned. Crisis chicken dry and greasy. Very disappointing.
The restaurant is right next to a movie theater, so it's always nice to go eat there before or after a movie. Food is always excellent but the spice levels have gone significantly lower.
Food wasn't spicy enough. First time eating here. Will learn how to order since I will be adding to my eatery list!!
We went on a Saturday evening. It was raining outside so we entered at 8:18. Website said it closes at 9pm. Staff inside were almost disappointed to see us. They said they could not seat us as they take the last order at 8:15. Since we had gone with friends who were visiting us, I requested them to accommodate us as we were just 3 minutes over. The young gentleman was outright rude and kept telling us nothing could be done but we could do a take out. Then another lady told us that many staff members had walked that day, hence the problem. But the manner in which we were almost shooed was annoying and extremely discomforting. Not going back there for sure. If you have to refuse, you can do it politely. That gentleman was so unapologetically rude. It was embarrassing for us and I was wondering if they disliked my skin color because I know 3 mins can be overlooked. I know it because I have run a restaurant for over 6 years.
Service is down the hill
not bad. seems to be pretty popular so it can be a little tricky getting a seat. overall has some unique items.
Last time we dined in, waitress was unfriendly, impatient and walked away without taking the full order. When food arrived, they forgot to bring one dish from our order. Tonight we placed an order to go and they did not pack the brown rice I ordered and that was charged on my tab. Service is not good at this location and the fact they charge you for items and don’t pack it is absolutely unacceptable.
Service was slow, chicken was cold, otherwise it was good
Don’t fall for the high ratings, I ordered Pad Thai but it was unbelievable ... foul smell and the noodles textures which was nowhere close to any pad Thai I had before. I am very familiar with Thai food have had across the US and also at Thailand at multiple places. This is some fake food being reviewed by people who have no exposure or clue about Thai cuisine. I feel sorry for your patrons. Make hay while the sun shines ! I am new to this area by the way. Never ever a Thai restaurant let me down.
Wonderful place, professional and friendly staff. Great food, will definitely return.
Wonderful food. Staff was amazing
Delicious food and lovely atmosphere.
Mmm yummy panang curry Was the best 💜 the setting was cute me and my friends sat in the comfy cushioned area where we also had to remove our shoes
Great Thai food for dine in or takeout. The interior is really lovely. I do wish the to go packaging was more sustainable though.
If you want food served in a timely manner, don’t dine-in at Bai Tong Restaurant in Issaquah. My wife and I waited over 30 minutes after ordering dinner before we finally flagged down a waiter to ask about our food. We were told our order was 3rd in line in the kitchen. There were many door dashers in the lobby and I suspect takeout orders were prioritized over ours. Whatever the reason, the wait dragged on and we were passed from waiter to waiter before we were finally served. Apart from an obligatory apology, the staff made no effort to make it right. I emailed the manager. A week later I have not heard back.
We went to Bai Tong on a lunch date. The place was pretty busy but the server could find us a table quickly.. we ordered an entree and a couple of main course portions and they were served in a reasonable time. The server was very thorough and listened to our requirements and made sure he is clear on what we want... I am pretty satisfied with the service and the food at Bai Tong...
The food and service at Bai Tong is spectacular! I have never had a bad meal here. Order the Gai Hor Bai Toey and thank me later! Save any extra sauce for your entree. My favorite is the Pineapple Fried Rice, but whatever you get, you'll love it.
Good food, parking space is good too. The staff service is very kind. Especially would like to thank Kat for her amazing service. She was very warm and friendly and her service was the best!!!
