This is one of those holes in the wall family owned restraints that you will not regret trying out! My only critique would be the lack of authentic Thai music. They had a popular radio station playing which wasn’t terrible but Thai music playing would give the atmosphere a 10. Food was delicious I recommend the pineapple curry.

We went to Sabaijai Thai as a family after a Silvertips hockey game. We all loved the food! My wife and I shared a salmon curry special. Our daughter-in-love had a tofu dish, my son had a dish with a hanging curtain of noodles, and my other son had a pot of Thai stew which he said needed a little more spice so they brought him some! He is a chef with high standards and loved his dish. He wants to come back for some duck! We finished off the with sweet Thai custard which was very unusual and delicious! We will be going back to Sabaijai Thai!!

Diner Review №16

I ordered thai basil chicken stir fry to go and did not receive nothing to eat it with or napkins so I had to throw it in the garbage after spending $20 I called and the woman's boss said they will not replace my food and that I could come by for napkins and plastic forks and spoons. The company lost a customer that could have made hundreds of me.

Diner Review №17

I ordered on GrubHub. I ordered yen ta fo and wontons. I didn't get yen ta fo, I got some kinds of seafood soup that spilled all over my bag when it was delivered. Unfortunately, I won't be able to eat this! It is very unappetizing.

Diner Review №18

Came in hoping it would be good due to the high ratings. We casually walked in after a walk at the waterfront.

I'm Hmong, so I eat southeast Asian food regularly. This is based on MY experience (and my sisters who were with me).

DRINKS:
Thai ice tea was good. Like any other thai ice tea.

Lychee Thai Tea - according to my sister, it was too sweet. She brought it home and allowed it to water down with the ice.

FOOD:
Papaya Salad with Crab (Lao style) - not bad but not as delicious as a real Lao style papaya. Very sour. Almost too salty.

Crab Ragoon (cheesy wonton) - Good 👍

Fresh Rolls (aka Spring rolls) - Lettuce wasn't fresh, clearly a dying lettuce sticking out at the end of the roll. Like an old lettuce that you wouldn't use for your salad. We ordered it with shrimp 🍤 (extra cost with shimp)...the shrimp was VERY tiny. It was basically just "vegetarian". The shrimp was not even a standard medium.
- peanut sauce was good

SERVICE:
Not a busy restaurant for dinner time. A small family of 3 was in the restaurant. Maybe two pick up orders. But I felt service was slow and not inviting.

When we ordered off the menu, the waitress kept saying "excuse me?" Like she couldn't understand my English. And I am born and raised here in the states, I feel my English was fine.

Through the night, she kept saying "excuse me?" Every time we asked for something, which was barely anything (getting boxes to go).

BUT I did notice waitress was very nice to all the white folks that came in. Her voice was actually alive and she could clearly hear them.

* I'm not exaggerating. I am just being honest. I'm not angry, but we won't be going back. If this is a good Thai restaurant for you, that's great.

We will continue to cook our delicious southeast Asian food at home and go support other Thai restaurants in the area.

My wife and I'm new favorite Thai restaurant in Washington state. On our first visit we had the sour sausage fried rice (possibly the best fried rice dish we've ever had) and pad thai. Both were so good we had to go back later in the week to try more! On our last visit we had the prawn fresh rolls, chili chicken, and a wonderful coconut cream soup desert with handmade tapioca flowers. I also had a very delicious mocktail which featured tamarind and ginger (highly recommend). Everything was FANTASTIC.

The quality of the food is excellent and they arent afraid to bring the heat with their spice levels (they go from 1 to 4 and level 3 was a comfortable point for us and we both love our food with good bit of heat). The atmosphere is charming and cozy, good for a date night. Most notable of all, though, was the manager on duty who was kind, hard working, and very responsive. She was working by herself both days and doing it all, but the service did not lack at all, even when busy. Kudos to her for doing it all and always while always being warm and welcoming - she is also happy to make suggestions on the menu.

Can't recommend this place enough!

Diner Review №24

I’ve been a patron for a few years and their food was always good but at my last trip the food was definitely sub par. I’m disappointed.

Diner Review №25

Food wasn't as good as normal.

Diner Review №26

Diner Review №27

My soup is supposed to come with spinach, fish balls, egg, spinach, ground beef and noodles. There was no fish balls or egg, only one piece of spinach and large raw chunks of some random veggie thats not supposed to be in there. The soup is too expensive to not include all ingredients. The waitress was also not very polite. There were only 2 customers when I showed up, but she was so rushed and didnt even close the containers of my takeout bag before walking away. Very disappointing.

Diner Review №28

Phenomenal food! If I could them more than 5 stars I would. Food is incredibly fresh, with the care and eye to attention to detail evident in every dish. There are plently of vegetarian options that can be modified to be vegan and I have been assured that the meat is cooked to perfection. Our waitress was also absolutely lovely. Best thai in Washington. Definitely make sure to visit if in Everett!

Diner Review №29

Absolutely delicious food! Staff was very friendly and the service was amazing. Will definitely come again!

Diner Review №30

HIDDEN GEM! We are always exploring places to eat before the Silvertips game and Sabaijai is by far the best sit down restaurant food that we have had. Amazing Thai food full of flavor. Quick friendly service!

Diner Review №31

Amazing take out, can’t wait to dine in! Had some of the best Tom Ka soup that tasted so good while my wife and I were under the weather. The veggies are fresh in the curries and their meat is legit. Actual chicken that isn’t the usual homogeneous dry chicken you find at other Thai restaurants. Great spicing, got two stars and tasted spice but it didn’t distract from the great flavors. Great experience

Diner Review №32

The food came incredibly fast which is great! But the meat ( I ordered beef) wasn’t good and I didn’t eat them.Waiter didn’t ask if the beef was ok or not even though I ate all the other things ( noodles and the broccoli)
The place is super clean and organized fancy looking tables with white table clothes ( or plastic not sure but it’s good looking) The noodles were tasty but meat wasn’t.

Love this place. The food is amazing, recipes are unique and the atmosphere is tranquil and fun. Great place for date night and we are super happy Janie has added a second location in marysville. The pork belly is amazing, sukiyaki and pad thai are top picks for the family and you have to try the sweetpea flower drinks are a special surprise woth seeing. Fair warning, you may want to order your spice level down a little, their spices are extra intense.

New to town and was looking for my go-to Thai spot… found it! Amazing customer service, great vibe inside! They have an incredible Phad Mama which is hard to find!

Diner Review №48

Stopped to grab a to go order while passing through the town. The server was fantastic to give recommendations and also asked us to keep the spice level to 2 (Thank you!).

The food was absolutely amazing! We had vegan Red curry, vegan peanut noodles, and vegan fried rice for mains. And vegan spring rolls and fresh rolls for appies.

This would have to be my favorite Thai place in WA so far. And we'll be back for sure. Thanks a lot for having amazing vegan options! 💚🌱

I had came here a few months back and thought how nice of a place. Unfortunately, today I am updating my review. The server was so rude and could care less if I was there or not. She seemed overwhelmed by 3 tables. She was in a hurry, I decided instead of sitting down I would dine out. Not only was she rude to myself and had an obvious eye-rolls and negative projection that it made me uncomfortable. She was also short with everyone dining. Finally there was no Togo utensils in the bag. I do not plan to go back. (Random fly swatter)

Diner Review №55

Didn't get a chance to try this place. Don't believe it opens at 11am. The door was not locked and they were taking deliveries, but there wasn't anyone out front seating people at 11:30

Diner Review №56

Delicious food. We ordered pineapple fried rice and crispy chili chicken. The taste is authentic. Big portions

Diner Review №57

Hands down the best Thai food in the area. The Sabaijai fried rice was so flavorful and probably the best Thai fried rice I’ve ever had. It was so hard to choose what to order cause everything sounded so good. Service was amazing, and the atmosphere was so relaxed.

Diner Review №58

This is a very good Thai restaurant with an extensive menu of authentic food

Right downtown in Everett; if you like Thai food, this is a fine place to dine out

Diner Review №59

Our server was attentive and took much needed initiative to tend to our needs. We even learned the meaning of Sabaijai. No, it isn't a name of a city.
A delicious dining experience: appetizer was bursting with savory flavor; entrees hit all the right spots; and dessert was yummy to last spoon. We even took home a souvenir.

I wouldn’t order their chicken wings.
Covered in chicken hair.

Diner Review №74

My family was severely disappointed by this restaurant. This was a $90 meal that was practically inedible as is. The peanut sauce was sickeningly sweet and tasted like straight up Jif. We ended up tossing it. My son had the pad thai that was again seriously over sweet. The fresh spring rolls came apart and were messy and hard to eat. My husband ordered tom yum noodle soup that had no noodles! And I ordered chicken satay that was chicken jerky with a side of cucmber salad that was apparently jelly based (?) and way too sweet. It also ended up in the garbage. The only thing we liked out of the box was the tofu triangle appetizer that thankfully came with a sauce other than the peanut. Overall very unsatisfying and over priced. Do not recommend,1/10.

Diner Review №75

I have a new favorite spot, and I’m so excited! It’s my birthday today and I requested Thai for dinner for take out. My usual places were about to close and this place was open a half an hour later than the rest and I’m very grateful for that! Not only are the serving sizes perfect(not left hungry at all like usual) but everything tasted AMAZING. All of the places I’m used to in the area if not better and the same pricing. We got the Pad Thai, garden fresh rolls with tofu and pad see eew. Everything was on point and we will definitely be back.

Diner Review №76

Perfect little lunch date spot ! Hubby and me come here regularly for the lunch specials and it's delicious.

Diner Review №77

Been getting take out for a while. The quality of food food over time has gotten worse. Tonight was the last straw for me. I ordered a chicken pad Thai. Way too saucy, overcooked mushy noodles, unfortunately I could only get about 5 bites in before I had to throw it away. This hasn’t been uncommon recently thoguh, I would say over the last 2 months the food keeps getting worse.

I’m gonna have to find a new Thai spot which is sad.

Diner Review №78

Update: We've eaten here several times since this review and it's been better overall. The orders have always been correct, but the food quality can still fluctuate. I would give 3.5 starts for the "food" rating if I could.

Diner Review №83

Seriously good food

Diner Review №84

They have a great website menu, unfortunately the food is not as good as it sounds. I thought I would try this one from my normal Thai place because it was closer. I ordered the duck leg curry and I could take about 7 bites before I had to stop, this thing was tough (and I presume old, maybe yesterday?). Threw the whole thing out, probably what they should have done too!

Diner Review №85

Everything on their dessert menu is amazing! I have a had a few main dishes and appetizers and enjoyed them all. Loved the cozy but refreshing atmosphere. It may seem trivial but even the menus were beautifully done. Like a photo book. Sometimes it's the details that make a place. My only concern is that some of their vegan items are actually vegetarian and may contain milk or egg.

Diner Review №98

This place is fantastic it’s easy to get too with street parking in Everette being how it is, it may be a tad bit hard to find parking next to Sabaijai but it is easily accessible.

The food and drinks were delicious I had ordered the Grill Duck Noodle Soup, a Lychee Thai Ice Tea, and two bottles of beer Sapporo and Singha.

I was surprised when the server brought out my soup I was expecting it to just be a few strips of duck and noodles not an actual duck leg, the broth was delicious on its own and the noodles just added to that broth flavour I fell in love when I began eating the duck leg and cleaned my dish spotless with how good it was;

The lychee tea was most delicious as well and to incorporate lychee fruit I was half tempted in ordering a dessert but the fruit alone was delicious enough where the dessert would have taken away from the teas overall sweetness, I was most pleased that this place carried my favourite beer on tap/in bottle and was pleasantly surprised by just how good the Singha beer was.

I will definitely consider this place a good place for a date or a place to grab a quick drink the atmosphere adds to the experience the television broadcasted Thai food and the music was audible enough to hear but not overpowering where if I was with someone I would be able to converse with them and still enjoy the music this place is good to come to for dates.

The service was good despite only one person working the restraints floor filling orders and making sure water glasses were full she was so nice and respectful to answer any and all questions I had about the beer and decoration.

In summery I would definitely recommend anyone who is in the north everett area to stop by Sabaijai Thai and give it a try the chef knows what he’s doing and I’m confident that if you eat here you won’t regret it later.

Just started coming here after moving to Everett and it is AMAZING. They have a larger selection of dishes from different areas of Thailand, and everything I have tried has been good.

There was one incident where my dish was made wrong on a to go order, and they were apologetic and fixed the problem on my next visit. I was very happy with the resolution and will continue to come back regularly.

Fantastic Thai restaurant with great customer service & absolutely delicious food. Good beer, cocktail & wine selection. The food was SUPER fresh with amazing flavors. I got so excited when they brought the appetizers that we ate them before I could take pictures. The dessert was wonderful & the perfect finish to our meal. We will definitely be back!!

Diner Review №111

The red curry is delicious! Spiciness is a bit on the mild side, but you can add pepper or pepper oil to spice it up. The curried fried rice was a very pleasant surprise. It was an excellent complement to the red curry.

Diner Review №112

I like the phad Thai. A little different than most but good nonetheless.

Diner Review №113

Diner Review №114

Excellent fresh food with wonderful flavor and cooked just right. Fried chicken was great, not greasy at all and nice and crispy. We had the garlic green beans which were super fresh and had a light garlic sauce, again not greasy which was great. Best of all was the papaya salad with shrimp, super fresh with wonderful lime sauce. Overall a very delicious healthy meal, and service was great. Will definitely eat here again next time we are in the area.

Diner Review №115

Listen, I don't ever write reviews for places unless they are above and beyond, or I have an absolutely terrible experience. Sabaijai Thai I experienced the former. The atmosphere is very esthetically pleasing and clean, the food is so delicious with good portions for the very reasonable price point, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and my 4 year old son and make it a wonderful dinning experience. My son was being difficult about what he wanted saying he didn't like anything, and the waitress asked him "what do you want?" My son replied "pancakes". The waitress said "I'm sorry we don't have pancakes 😞". 5 minutes later she comes out with waffles and apples for him, free of charge. That was one of the nicest gestures that I've experienced at a restaurant. Definitely going to be coming back and recommending this place to all my friends.

Diner Review №116

Diner Review №119

We came for dinner on a Sunday, before a show at the Village Theater around the corner. Just picked this place because it's open on Sunday evening, but we all agreed we will go back.

At first, the service seemed a bit slow. We got our drinks, but not at the same time. Since we're used to equating good service with fast service, it took a bit of adjusting for us and, in the end, the service was great and we wound up taking our time to enjoy each dish.

Each person ordered one dish, which we shared family style. The fried tofu appetizer was delicious, and so were the fresh rolls (with shrimp). There was a variety of sauces and they were all yummy and complemented the food, rather than overpowering it. We got the appetizer sampler, but it was a little disappointing - mostly because the fried mushrooms were nothing special.

We had some young ladies in the party and they really liked the fried chicken. They also tried all the other dishes and found plenty to eat.

We got crispy pork belly and braised pork belly. We liked the braised a bit more than the crispy.

Some of the serving dishes were very interesting, but some were just flat plates and getting sauce off of them took a bit of work.

The Thai tea was really strong and really sweet, like they were a little heavy handed on the condensed milk. The heat level was a bit off - we asked for a 2 on the basil fried rice, and that was the only dish that was remotely spicy (more like a 4).

All in all, we really enjoyed the place. We arrived at 4:30 which turned out to be good since we avoided the crowd that started to show up around 6. We'll definitely be back, even if it's quite a drive from Tacoma and Federal Way to Everett. Sabaiji Thai is worth the drive!

Diner Review №120

A bit disappointing.

The food tasted good, but the noodles in both our dishes (my Pad Thai and my wife’s side dish) were way undercooked, chewy bordering on crunchy. And although we were the only diners there (one other patron already eating when we walked in), we were surprised by how long it took for our lunches to arrive. Based on the temperature of the food, it appeared that the delay was a function of how long the plates sat before they were picked up.

As to service, we observed a couple of obvious regulars come in (greeted by name), who were very graciously treated. Us - not so much. Pretty perfunctory.

Diner Review №121

Grubhub: Crying Tiger. Pad Thai chicken. Cucumber salad. Fast delivery. Amazing meals. Grilled to perfection. A delicious synthesis of flavors and freshness. Wow!! Incredible food. We devoured our dinners. I can’t wait to reorder. What an amazing find. Thank you so much. 1000/10! Molly & Patrick

Diner Review №125

Our second visit 4 months after our first was a completely different experience. The place was empty at 4:30 PM , our server smelled like he hadn't bathed in months, our rolls had a big black hair in one slice (note they did not charge for this item) and the coconut soup was nothing like what we had gotten previously. After our first visit I was so excited to return but was very disappointed.

Sabaijai has been my go to Thai place for over a year and I've never had a meal that I didn't marvel at.

Diner Review №144

Outstanding

Diner Review №145

This restaurant is a dream come true! It’s so exciting to see an authentic menu with northern, southern, and Laos food! The best part was seeing a real dessert menu. There are so many Thai restaurants I pass up on because they don’t have any desserts at all. How often do you see Thai custard, let alone Thai tea or pandan flavors? My husband ordered that and loved it. I got mango and sticky rice, the rice was also pandan flavored! The serving was delightfully huge and had a lot of coconut sauce, it’s all I’ve ever wished for! Most places give you either a tiny cup of the sauce or a little drizzle on top. It to me is the most important part of the dish, and they nailed it! You must try the kabocha pumpkin curry! My husband had it with duck and he said it’s delightful. I tried it and am ordering it next time. Wow it’s so delicious and silky smooth.
Take a look at their menu and I promise you’ll want to order everything.

Diner Review №154

Dinner with a friend who recommended this restaurant for us the dine at.
Located in Downtown Everett on Hewitt near corner of Wetmore Ave.
Cute little place…what we ordered:
1.) Thai Lychee Iced Tea. If you like Thai Tea this one is without the condensed milk but with a splash of Lychee very tasty.
2.) Thai Wonton. They were a bit over fried making outer wrapping too hard.
3.) Duck Feeling. The duck and the buns were over cooked as the duck was dry and the buns were hard.
4.) Roast Duck Noodle Soup. Again the duck was over done and very tough and dry.
5.) Curry Chicken with Jasmine Rice. My friend said it was not bad but she wanted more of a curry taste.
Our server was very nice and friendly.
Over all I would give them a 3.5 rating

Wonderful place with an extensive menu.

Diner Review №158

A majority of the menu is gluten-free, but most of it is not processed sugar-free. It was difficult to find a dish that had no added processed sugar, and it was difficult for them to NOT add any sugar. Street parking is ok with some patience, or at a calm time of day.

An excellent place to get Thai!

We stopped in for a quick meal and were pleasantly surprised by good service, excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere. The pineapple fried rice was especially great. Definitely grab some authentic Thai food here!!

Diner Review №169

Best pad se ew I have ever had in my life

Diner Review №170

Will not be coming back here. We came with 7 people and all of our orders were wrong. I did not want spicy food and was very spicy food. I did not want onion but was given alot of onion. Same issue with everyone else that I dinned with. Even the appetizer was completely wrong.

Diner Review №171

Oh my goodness, the food was so good!!

Diner Review №172

Sabaijai Thai is the best most authentic Thai food in the area. Seattle may have some places that are good, but this place is special. Unique, Thai desserts, and they have a screen playing Thai street food videos with a lot of great scenes. I loved the mango sticky rice with pandan and the entrees were all top quality, fresh, and delicious. The fried apps were done perfectly. I can't wait to go again to try more of their beautifully crafted dishes. Thank you

Food here is absolutely amazing!! The red and avocado curry blew our minds and the pad thai is some of the best I’ve ever had. A definite stop for excellent Thai.

Diner Review №175

The food at sabai jai thai is really authentic. Everything looks so fresh and homemade.
We ordered vegan food. Fresh rolls were juicy. They told us they have this with some lime dressing in Thailand. So they gave us complimentary dressing with peanut sauce..avocado curry and swimming rama. Both were very tasty. Nice experience of dining here. Nice interior decor.

First time we came here. Definitely would be coming often. Authentic home made food made from scratch. Totally family run by simple & amazing people. Could easily give 10 out of 5 stars if allowed!!

Diner Review №176

We really enjoyed having meal here. "Khao Kha Moo" and "Kho Ka Ti" (dessert) are so amazing! Also Thai milk tea the drink you have to try.

Diner Review №177

Waited over 10 minutes at the entrance to be seated. No one came out, it was not busy. Complete waste of our time.

Diner Review №178

Stopped by here on a whim and wow! It seems like the best restaurants are always tucked away in unassuming areas.
I got the red curry and it was delicious, and it was big enough to feed two or three people. Took it home so it's a gift in my fridge that keeps giving! The milk tea was also delicious. The atmosphere of this place is also great. Feels very homey, throw pillows on the seats, TV on the wall playing videos of Thai food being made, all run by a very sweet woman who has a clear passion for sharing her cooking with the world.
If you're in the area, definitely swing by! If you're not, come eat here anyway, you won't regret it!

Diner Review №179

It was ok. I have had better.

Diner Review №180

Ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles). It tasted amazing. So much flavor from all the different veggies. The Basil was crispy (almost like it was burnt). I would prefer it softer. I'm guessing they wanted to add a bit of crunch to it but I wasn't to crazy about that. Also, the portions are pretty small and this is coming from a petite lady. I came hungry and left half full.

Diner Review №181

Food was very good. They must have hidden charges (such as for rice or for carryout containers) because my order of $56 (from the menu prices) came out to $81 before tip. Any extra charges were never explained.

Diner Review №182

I love the food at this place but omg they take forever to make it. Sooooo slow!!! Thai Gusto down the street takes 5-10 minutes, this place 20-30 minutes for the same order. Not sure why it takes so long but I think it has something to do with the kitchen or the service. Still trying to figure it out I guess.

Diner Review №183

Maybe the best Tom Kha soup I’ve ever had! All of the deserts are hand crafted in house. We had the Kho Ka Ti desert; tapioca balls stuffed with coconut and sugar, swimming in a pool of sweet coconut cream - insanely delicious.

Diner Review №184

Their food, made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, manages to capture the heart of Thailand, ensuring each dish is an exploration of the country's diverse culinary scene.

Diner Review №185

I ordered the papaya salad and the fresh spring rolls. The salad was very flavorful and fresh. The rolls were a big salad wrapped in rice paper(no noodles) and the peanut sauce was perfect.

Diner Review №186

Amazing taste with Esarn Sausage Fried Rice and Cocktails.
Yum Yum!

Diner Review №187

I like the pineapple fried rice. Others are not so good. drinks are a little bit sour.
