Rum Thai - The tasty delicious Thai foods.
My partner and I had the Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce and Tom Yum Soup. Everything was cooked to perfection. This small but cute restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. Atmosphere was traditional Thai with low subtle lighting which I love. Owners were sweet, lovely to customer service and family oriented. We definitely would love to come back.
The best spring rolls I've ever had, and that includes the peanut sauce. The Massaman curry was top notch and filling. Service was friendly, albeit somewhat delayed, which I chalk up to it not being busy early and the kids of the staff being there. The menus were remarkable. Too many restaurants don't understand how pictures improve the selection experience.
This was on my list of restaurants to try before I left WA.
A tiny spot Downtown Everett on Colby look for the Orange colored door.
What we ordered:
1.) Water fall soup with pork and glass noodles. This was well balanced in heat and seasoning.
2.) Chicken Curry level 5. My friend ate his dish so fast we teased him like damn dude did you just inhale that. He said it was so good. 🤣
3.) Chicken Curry level 2 my hubby loved his also and I even tasted it. Great taste 👍🏻 and level 2 was not too spicy at all.
The servers were friendly and very quick. Their prices are very reasonable too!
Last Friday it was date night at home with the Mrs and I was in north Everett. So I googled this place and it seemed good. I walked in and it was empty but ok decor and the people were attentive. I perused the menu and decided to go with the usual.
I ordered the following: swimming Rama, phad thai, Larb Gai, and yellow curry. The gentlemen informed me it would be 10-15 minutes. I stepped next door and had a beer.
I returned and my food was ready to go I think the bill with tip was like $70 for 4 entrees not bad. Well I got home and unboxed the food. The first thing I noticed was the swimming Rama was at the bottom in a cardboard container that had collapsed and the phad thai was sitting in the swimming Rama entree/soup. The entire bottom of the had thai was wet as it had collapsed. Then the larb was on top in a plastic container (I’m unsure why they didn’t use that for the other dishes) and the yellow curry in a 16oz plastic container on top of that.
After opening all the dishes I noticed the larb had all black what appeared to be old mint. It didn’t taste like I’m use to and was “off”. The swimming Rama was very soupy almost watery and my wife refused to eat it. We tried the Phad thai and it too was watery or just mushy. I ate a little of the yellow curry and it was ok. Real disappointed as we were all excited to have a date night and eat some take out.
I hope this was a one off whoops but it burnt us so bad that I doubt I will be back. I should have reached out to the owner possibly but chose this avenue instead as it has been a couple 5 days since we got take out here. I wanted to support a local family run business but we won’t be back. We actually door dashed more food from another thai place (our usual place) to replace this food as it all had to go in the bin.
This place brought Thai food to another level for me. If I could go back and change the rest of my Thai food reviews down one star, I would. The fresh rolls are the BIGGEST I have ever seen. 4 halves of them. I got through one of them and realized I had to review this place. The Phad Thai and the Pad Kee Mao came out. Let me tell you. This food has no right being SO GOOD. Will go out of my way to come back again soon.
Food was good. Pad Thai was a bit too sweet to my taste. Plenty menu choices. Fresh roll was looking fresh and good size.
The lady who serves our table was not very attentive. She basically took the order and went sat to play with her phone. Not really paying attention to our needs such as refilling waters or checking to see what else we may need. Owner was very nice tho.
My wife and I needed to eat before getting tattoos. Rum Thai looked nice, and we like trying new places, so we gave it a try. It's a small place but comfortable. Service was quick and friendly. The food came out fast, piping hot and absolutely delicious.
We've gotten takeout twice since. The only thing has been the last time I asked for 4 star hot for me and 1 star for my wife's dish. We were a bit surprised when I got home to find they were both more like no star. I usually get 3 star and was looking forward to that 4 star kick. Still delicious just a bit disappointing.
The service was good, the spot is small and cute. Food was delicious, only complaints I have is the chicken satay was too expensive for what it was. The pieces of chicken were small and it wasn't horrible but it wasn't anything special either. But the rest of the food was delicious!!!! The only other complaint was that the Massaman Curry serving wasn't big enough. I barely had any left overs. 😅 Def would go back and recommend.
First time in and really enjoyed our experience. Kind staff and great food.
Food was great, price was decent, place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Will be back again.
Cozy atmosphere with surround by family and full of love. Thai ice tea is amazing with green chicken curry
Wow! Everything was phenomenal. Reasonably priced and the staff was friendly as well. Definitely recommended.
Not very busy place for lunch

Food was fantastic as was the service
This place has a great menu. It ranges from no spice (clear soup) to extra spicy. There are dishes here I haven't seen in other Thai restaurants. Its the best price dinner we have found in north Everett.
We liked pad Thai with tamarind sauce and chicken. Spring rolls had lots of lettuce.
I'm borderline allergic to certain spices. Ordered 0 stars and had one bite before I got nauseous and almost got sick. My wife likes spicy but thought it was bland.
Our first experience here was great, but I can't bring myself to come again.
Best Yellow Curry I have ever had!
This place was empty when we tried it one Saturday afternoon, which seems crazy, given how good the food is. But it's right downtown, and evidently weekday lunch is when they get packed. It's easy to see why.
This might seem like a somewhat run-of-the-mill Thai spot, but it's not. "Rum" means "yum!" in the northern usage of the Thai language, and these folks are honoring northern traditions in the way they prepare their food.
We got tons of flavor out of everything we ordered, which, honestly, was too much food. My brother-in-law helped us later to finish it, since we tend to bring him leftovers from time to time (it's tough to actually get him out of the house).
The service was so mild-mannered and pleasant here. No drinks, but insanely good prices.

Since you locals seem to have no idea what a "good" (not "authentic," because one must go to Thailand) restaurant chicken pad thai is, here are some pointers. White meat; soft/chewy noodles; no watery sauce; not sweet; includes fish sauce; scrambled eggs.
I've just referenced nothing of the dreary
dish produced by Rum Thai. Expect cheap dark chicken meat, hard noodles, dripping sauce, uneven sweet/sour/salty, absent hints of fish sauce (but fitting per the milquetoast cliente) and cutesy egg "pancake" laying on top that feels like a distant afterthought.
Really, this version resembles disparate ingredients forced together, instead of one skillfully integrated, balanced whole.
Delicious Thai food. Relaxed atmosphere. I plan to go back soon.
Food here was delicious. Large variety of dishes. Nice range of spice levels that were accurate. Service is a little rough, but not bad. Give them a chance.
The food was delicious! The family that owns the restaurant are lovely and it's a cozy feeling place.
Poor service. Server had a bad attitude.
Delicious food, great service!
Quite good, with authentic menu and food!!
Spicy thia food. Ordered 5 and it was actually spicy. I would go back.
Family owned business with fast, friendly service with the best Thai food that I have ever had. Highly recommended it
Delicious food great service. The prices might be a little bit high. I feel super nice people. The food was really fresh. I actually just got home from a trip to Southeast Asia and the food here is just as delicious.
The pad Thai was amazing, and the Crab Delight was delightful.
Very clean and nice place top enjoy lunch with a friend. Food was so fresh and delicious. We have found our new favorite thai place in town. Service was great, food was quick and fresh. Thank you so much for the wonderful lunch date with my mom
Friendly service and delicious Pad Thai.

Amazing! Ate here twoce in one day!!!
We ordered 2 yellow chicken curries. No chicken in the curry. One chicken Phad Thai and were 4 very tiny pieces of chicken in that.
We had a reservation for a group of 10. I know that's a big group, but we were there on time at 5:15 and we didn't start to get our food until 7:15. We finally left the restaurant after 8pm. The food was pretty good, but the service was unacceptable. When we asked about our food at 6:40 they had just barely started cooking it.
Super delicious pad thai and thai iced tea!
This hidden gem serves the best street Thai food. You will receive the best service and the food is comforting.
Delicious and authentic recipes.
I love this restaurant so much. The food is so good, so complex, so honest. And the people are wonderful. It has the feeling of being invited over to dinner--the best dinner of your life. And they have my favorite forbidden rice dessert, which is rare in the states.
Kop Kun Kap. This was so good. I asked for very spicy and it was actually very spicy which is more to expect than most asian places catering to the bland white palate. This was so good. Kop Kun Kap.
Goonies never say die!
Probably the best Thai food I've had. Unbelievably good! A must-try for anyone who loves Thai.
Delicious, fresh food and great service
Nice little restaurant with friendly staff and very tasty food.
Stumbled upon this little gem of a Thai restaurant on a visit to Everett, and certainly happy that we did. The food was excellent - fresh & flavorful, spiced nicely, and very enjoyable. Service was also good - they refilled waters and checked on us regularly. Really want to come back again. Would highly recommend their fresh papaya salad as well as their fresh rolls.
Extremely slow to get a doordash order ready. Was told to wait 7 min and then it took over 15.. now I make less than $10 for the hour. Thanks
A lot
It was OK for me. The crispy garlic chicken was tasty. The chicken larb was tasty but small portion. The pad see ew had ok flavor, noodles were cooked in clumps. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside but doughy on the inside.
One of the very few Thai restaurants that serve ACTUAL authentic Thai food. One of my favorite restaurants around the Seattle area
Wow. Wow.
Can't think of the last time I reviewed a Thai restaurant, but this one is among the best ever, and better than any I know of that are currently open. Check out the menu. Have you ever seen a better one?
And those photos are what the actual dishes look like delivered to your table.
Bravo!
Bravo!
Bravo!
If I could rate this place any higher I would! Not only was the food incredible, but the service was amazing and the server was incredibly kind! There's no way that we won't come back, highly recommend!
I like the Thai restaurant because they make and serve curry, soups, drinks, and sticky rice pudding.
We have been here before. Great restaurant. Excellent food and service.
This restaurant was the best restaurant ever!!! I have an orange chicken, that’s the best orange chicken in my life.
Amazing food! We ordered the fresh rolls, Massaman curry with shrimp, and the curry chicken noodles and everything was delicious, came out quick and had good portion sizes. Would recommend getting anything under the street food menu if you’re unsure. The inside also had lovely ambience and it was overall a great meal with good service!
This restaurant is located in downtown Everett right off of Colby. I have absolutely no complaints as the service is great and the atmosphere is very laid back. This is a great place to take your family , friends , or even a significant other if you’re trying to enjoy a nice meal in a peaceful setting. I had ordered an appetizer, 2 entrees , 2 Thai teas , and dessert all for less than $60 which in my opinion was a very good deal as all the food tasted very flavorful and fresh. I have no complaints here as I enjoyed everything about my dining experience from the second I walked in the door to the second I walked out. I Will definitely be the restaurant I introduce my friends and family to when they are in town!
Friendly service and tasty food!
Funky, flavourful and fantastic restaurant!!! What a gem of a place to find.
The service is fast and the food is amazing. Highly recommended and I will eat here often. My new favorite Thai restaurant!!
This place is fantastic!
We travel the country for work and this is one of my top 5 Thai places. The food is delicious and the price is reasonable. I was expecting this place to be okay because it looked like a small hole in the wall, but this is a family owned place and you can taste the heart and love for the food in every plate.
We had the Yellow Curry Rice and the Tom Kah Soup, the Crab Rangoon for appetizers and the sticky mango rice for dessert. It was really hard not to lick the plate off the dessert.
The food was delicious and really authentic.
We tried Rum Thai last night for dinner and were blown away!! We walk by often on the way to other restaurants in DT Everett, and haven't seen it really busy, but man, I'm so glad we tried it! Flavor in every dish was out of this world, so much better than any Thai I've had here. Crab Delight (rangoon) filling was somehow fresh and herb-y with lots of scallion flavor- so good!! Pad See Ew was earthy and smokey, not so soy sauce heavy. I forget the exact name, but the Waterfall Noodle Soup was SO GOOD! Unreal. Incredibly flavorful without being a salt bomb. Lime-y, basil-y, umami-y. Just awesome! Service was also great, he was so kind and friendly, and answered all my questions about the dishes. We will absolutely go back!!
I came by myself for a lunch before starting my shift. Only one other family in there and it took 30 mins to get my order, except my order was wrong. I didn’t have any more time to wait for my correct order. I guess I go hungry tonight!
Friendly service and one of the best Thai restaurants that I’ve eaten at and I’ve been eating Thai food for over 30 years. The pad Thai and Panang Currie were amazing! Love this place!
Had a wonderful lunch here with a friend and we chatted for about 2 and a half hours. They just kept bringing tea and water.
Rum Thai Cuisine is our go to place for lunch whenever we are in Everett. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. If we lived closer we would be there more often.
A delightful family run restaurant!
The atmosphere was warm and the service good. I enjoyed seeing the children playing under one table while elders cooked and served. There were photos and memoribalia of Thailand everywhere.
The fresh rolls were very fresh and delicious. The kom soup was outstanding. The stir fry was perfectly done.
A great find for us.
Visited Everett and decided to drop by this small restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was quite nice. It seems to be family owned or maybe just had few employees. If you ever have a chance, I recommend you to visit!
Best Thai food I've had in a long time. Everything was fresh. Spice was on point. Love the family atmosphere. Will be back as they have a HUGE menu with different things to try.
Love it!! Very authentic- already had friends go and they also loved it!!! Need to try it if you love Thai food!! It is not American Thai but Chaing Mai Thai food!!
Not many places
Phad Thai gives delights and spice
All options are great
Really good food and fast table service!
Great family owned restaurant with authentic Thai food… Great atmosphere… Looking forward to learning about northern cuisine… Will definitely be back
Best thai food in the area. Go here and try as many things as possible!
We went for dinner on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly empty in there. We were greeted with hot tea and quick service. I got the green curry and my partner got the pad thai. Both came out hot and tasted delicious. Their menu was also really great as it had pictures for every dish.
Everything is really good, but the Waterfall soup is divine.
Will be going there again.
Cozy little restaurant, very clean tables and menus. The menu was awesome, it was well designed and had pictures for almost all of the dishes! (Could have been every dish)
We ordered Pineapple 🍍 fried rice, Pad Kee Mao, and Tom Kha soup 🍲. They were all perfect! Spice levels were accurate. This will definitely be our new go to Thai food for north Everett.
Some of the best curry I’ve had, and I’m a huge Thai food fan! Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
The best Thai I've had in Washington. Every dish was packed with flavor and so delicious. The staff was friendly and very passionate about their food. Such a pleasant place we will be back!
Takeout was fresh hot and delicious.
Absolutely delicious every time! My co-worker and I love the food so much, it's our regular Wednesday lunch spot!
This place is very close to the Funko store. We went in before joining the line for the store.
This is a family run restaurant that started about 6months ago. We had the Pad See Eiw with chicken and the Waterfall noodle soup with pork . The noodle soup was light yet flavourful. The meatballs were delicious. The pad see eiw was perfectly charred and the noodles were chewy yet melted in the mouth.
Service was prompt and good. Highly recommended.
We ordered takeout and everything was fantastic: pad Thai with chicken, slow braised pork belly, fried rice, pot stickers (with delicious sauce!), and broccoli with beef (sorry I cannot remember the correct Thai names for these dishes). The whole family included my 2 year old son enjoyed it!! This is some of the best Thai food I've had in a while, and we will definitely be coming back again.
Appears to be a family run restaurant. The ‘Bob’s burgers’ of Thai food but classier. Food was great! Service was fast. Prices were reasonable. Portions good. Causal but nice. Good location. Best Thai food we’ve had in a long time.
Husband had the Panang Curry and I had Pad Thai. Also had the spring rolls as an appetizer…amazing dipping sauce! We went basic as a test. We will for sure be coming back to try more dishes.
Highly recommend! Do not miss out
We stumbled upon this new Thai restaurant by accident and so glad we did. It did not disappoint. We loved the food. It's so fresh and full of flavor. Its quaint in appearance but the selections are anything but quaint. The owners are very, very nice too. We will definitely be back. Photo is the side of shrimp fried rice. Yum!
We came in with a party of 10 and they quickly adjusted and made space for us. After that service was a good speed and the food was all great. When I asked for medium spiciness I got exactly what I expected.
literally the best thai food of my life such a hidden gem! owners are super nice too :)
Some of the best pad Thai that I’ve had( and I’ve had ALOT of pad Thai) . This place is a gem.
The people here are super nice and the service is pretty quick.
Definitely will be returning as a regular customer here!
Tasty! I had the pineapple fried rice which was very fresh and tasty.. must try.
It's a restaurant that never appears to have customers dining in...
I decided to try out their food (usually I order takeout) and it was great. Worth trying out instead of the typical Thai Gusto.
Nice people and Love the food here, best Thai food in Everett.
If anybody ever wondering about the old owner. here where she is this, new owner is taking it from her without putting down the % to be a partner and been said stuff to her very nice of you to do this to her and letting you know. thank you and the food are not very good, bad service food taste very awful.
