Thai food is probably one of the top three foods that we enjoy and we've been to a lot of different Thai restaurants however, this is probably one of the best if not the best Thai restaurant we've ever been to. We had the classical pad Thai and the seven vegetable stir fry both with tofu, and for an appetizer we had the crispy fried tofu all three were amazing. This may look like a house but it acts like a five-star restaurant, do yourself a favor and eat here
We had the most delicious, authentic Thai meal. My husband and I ordered an appetizer favorite platter, Beef Pad See Ew, and Crispy Garlic Chicken. Everything was delicious. The service was amazing. Definitely recommend!!
Hands down one of the BEST restaurants in the area!!! Thai food is my favorite cuisine and this is the most delicious I’ve had … even in Thailand! Literally dish we’ve ever had is so tasty and authentic. The value is unbelievable. The service is quick and friendly- it’s a really sweet family run business and we love to support them. Try anything on the menu … you can’t go wrong!!
I wens to Dee Des Moines Thai Cuisine for the first time last night with two friends and we were all BLOWN AWAY by how GOOD the food was! This place is awesome, I'll be returning again and again until I have tried EVERYTHING!
Dont miss out on Dee Des Moines Thai Cuisine!
This food is wonderful! It’s been awhile since I’ve been here. It’s been better than before! Highly recommend.
Really enjoyed our meal! Staff was very kind, and lovely presentation of the food, especially for a place that probably does most of its business as takeout. Recommend it!
We stopped by for lunch. The service was great, very attentive with filling waters, and pleasant. We ordered Avocado Curry, the classic Pad Thai Noodles, Crispy Garlic Chicken and another curry dish. The food was amazing, beautifully spiced, silky smooth sauces and skillfully cooked. We will stop by the next time we are in Des Moines, WA. They have free parking in front of the building.

Great Thai food, properly spicy which can be quite hard to find at times!
Food was good, but portions were small for the price
Love this place excellent customer service and awesome food

Lovely people. They were willing to seat us just before they were closing for the afternoon turnaround. The food was great and tasted amazing.

The food here is absolutely amazing, I normally take it to go but glad to sit down and try it extremely fresh from the kitchen. This will always be my go to spot for thai food.
It's five minutes from my house and always very good.
They have very good Thom Kha Gai ต้มข่าไก่ which is one of my comfort foods to takeout when I'm feeling sick or just having a bad day.
Eating in is a nice experience also, it is a very charming dining room.
Always quick and kind with service.
The staff and the food are equally amazing! The mango sticky rice was heavenly!

This was my first time at this place, and I have to say that the food served here is very delicious and healthy.
I will definitely come back.
Owner & Staff were very Polite and Friendly..!!!
Wow! Delicious Thai food. We ordered Thai beef salad (Crying Tiger on menu) and Tom Yum soup with mixed seafood these being our favourite Thai food. They were so fresh and very tasty. Service was friendly and quick.
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic home cooked delicious Thai food and come back again.
Amazing Green Papaya salad, amazing curries and the BEST homemade coconut ice cream.
I ordered the 7 kinds of vegetables, with jasmine rice as a side. The vegetables were served in a most delicious broth. Absolutely wonderful flavor! I will return to Dee Des Moines Thai Cuisine every time I am in the area.

Awesome!
The best Thai food in Des Moines. :)
It tastes very good and the portions are so big.
This place is simply amazing.
Some might be turned away by the fact that it's not in some typical commercial building, but we love the house vibe.
Food is excellent. The mango sticky rice was the best. Thai iced tea was perfect, not too sweet. The curry was better than pretty much any other Thai place we have been. And honestly, it's nice that it comes with the rice, most places make you order that separately.
Above that the service is outstanding. The owner is very sweet and actually cares about the customer.
Save money and support small/family business!
1st time trying Dee Des Moines Thai. It was a slam dunk lunch combo of Massamun Curry! Well presented on the plate and good customer service. Chef came out to greet all the customers and make sure they were enjoying.
Not impressed.
Always love Dee Des Moines Thai! We've dined in before. Done a lot of take out. And have tried various delicious items from the menu. The pad thai was my baby's first introduction to solid food at 4 months old.
I was visiting family in the Seattle area, so we stayed in one of the SeaTac area hotels. There is a Thai place within one block of the hotel, but it was closed on a Sunday. Dee Des Moines Thai was only a 6 minute drive from the hotel, and well worth it! The food was really tasty — loved the Thai egg rolls and the Massman curry. I also added some peanut sauce…and it hit the spot! Thanks for great food. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.
Love the crab Rangoon, and tom kha soup.
Nothing good to say.
The place doesn't custom for dining in!
Food is OK-
Didn't worth to take photos.
I wouldn't go again nor recommend.
I order delivery. They are fast and food is great!
Every time I order Thai, my go to is Dee Des Moines! Always good and ready quickly for pick up! Nice people .
Terrible quality food, garlic beef was chewy and watery, tasting old. This place also has a bad vibe. Won't be back.
Where to start but to say that the food here is some of the best Thai I've had hands down. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner for a bit and she mentioned that she was taught by her mother to cook with love, and it showed in all the dishes we ordered. You might find that the crab wonton at other restaurants look emaciated and over-fried, but not here, where it is generously stuffed with cream cheese & crab and fried to a crispy-chewy perfection. The Khao Soi combined two types/textures of noodles that created a wonderous mouth-feel & taste. The list of good things go on.
As a bonus many of the owner's dishes use spices and pastes brought back from Thailand! Spicy eaters will also rejoice as the star system is true to heart. A three star dish was enough to clear my sinuses.
Unfortunately however, the restaurant is experiencing difficulty re-opening their in-house dining 100%. Des Moines & surrounding Kingco, we have to save this gem. If you like Thai food then look no further than Dee.
Really wanted to try this place, but they have an “okay” rating from the health department. Hopefully this will improve in the future
Food is great. But I had difficulty managing the website to place our order.
Food was tasty, and it was nice that the Kao Soi had sliced chicken (rather than whole leg pieces). Since it is take-out only, we ordered online and asked to pick up at 5:45. A text came through at 5:25 saying it was ready -- but we weren't!
Food tasted stale and terrible. Restaurant is cluttered and run down inside. I won’t be returning.
Only take out was available and the kid in the counter was super friendly. Food was awesome!!!
Delicious yellow curry and pineapple fried rice! Every time I visit here I am fully satisfied! The staff are extremely friendly too! Best Thai food in the area!
Customer service, top tier! Service, top tier! and just for the heck of it, atmosphere, top tier! (even though it's no longer dine in). Just wonderful local thai cuisine that's a walking distance from my work but you can't walk there because after eating all that delicious food, it'll be hard to walk back...haha!
I've also used them to cater my daughter's girl's dorm event in 2021 and the food was delicious, plentyfull that we also invited the boys dorm to come over for to-go containers. If you are new to the area, give them a try. You will definitely become a Dee Des Moines Thai fan. -Nani
Love the food
The best curry I have ever had. I love Thai food and have enjoyed many dishes over 20+ years. The massaman curry was the first entrée that I had at Dee's and it was 10/10 perfect.
Ordered spicy Beef too salty.
Great flavor and high quality ingredients. I got the kee mao to go and even though it was a bit higher priced, it was a good amount and was delicious. I would go here again!
It's take out only. Great food, I've had the Pad Thai, green cury.
My chicken fried rice smells like fish. Paid for extra chicken and there is barley and chicken in the dish. POOR POOR quality.
This Thai has been a favorite for takeout in the last couple years. Call ahead for pickup. They are good on their time estimates for when we should pickup about 90% of the time. I don’t fault them for the 10%. Most restaurants have been short staffed and unable to meet the demand. Grace given 🙌 The food is delicious and we always have leftovers for lunches. One of our favorites is Tom Kha with chicken and a bit of Windy Thai Fried Rice (also with chicken) mixed in. Seven Kinds of Veggies, Broccoli Delight , and Pad See Ew (beef) round out our favorites.
Amazing crab rangoons, I highly recommend!
The best Thai food around
We paid $20 for the appetizer platter and the quality and quantity of it should be considered criminal.
If they had offered to dine in, I would have sent my food back and left and never would have come back. The coconut shrimp tasted like frozen grocery store popcorn shrimp, the chicken satay, it tasted foul and so bad that I didn't dare to give it to my dog.
The Tom kha soup was half onion, few mushrooms slices, barely any slices of chicken and taste like that it was made from packet.
I paid $16 for garlic chicken and my food container had less than a quarter full for $16 dollars and plus extra for jasmine rice.
Apparently at this place they don't offer rice with their entrees and you have to pay extra.
I would have not minded these prices if food had been even edible.
I suggest if you want to waste your money then instead buy a TV dinner from Walmart that will taste better than their food and some good 🍺.
Portions are small for the price. The quality of the food is mediocre. We’ve only done take out.
Not sure how my $12.50 Tom Yum order to go with added veggie (I asked for just cabbage ), turned into a $20 meal when I signed the receipt... Not my favorite version of this dish here.
Our favorite Thai place - from the pad see-we to the sweet rice mango dessert - and everything in-between. At times, the dishes may be a bit too salty. Caution: they don’t mess around with the chilis…if you ask for 4 or 5 for spiciness, you will get it!
I'm so happy I found this place. Good food and friendly staff. Be aware they are not open Monday and Tuesday.
This is my family's favorite place for Thai food. The Yellow Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice are our very favorite!
Best Thai food i have had in a really long time! I highly recommend it.
Staff seems to be working at minimum levels. No sit-down. Inside looks to be in disrepair when not styled for indoor seating. Very busy at 6pm. But food is delicious and worth the wait.
staff is always super friendly and they will give you a LOT of spice if you ask, never had a bad meal, lived nearby for years and have even doordashed a few times
Bad service!
Good spot, wish they were open every day
LOVED THE SELECTION WE MADE, PATAI TOFU AND GREEN CURRY WITH CHICKEN..VERY DELISH..
WOULD GO BACK AGAIN
IT IS TAKE OUT ONLY...
Great food, but restaurant is currently take-out only due to COVID-19.
The food is phenomenal and actually authentic don’t let things like the exterior distract you. The food is the best in Des Moines hands down
This is our family's favorite restaurant, the food here is so good and the owner, Kay, is wonderful!! We have eaten here for years, and the food has never disappointed us. Whether you are dining in (and we will dine in again one day soon!!) or picking up take-out, the food is always delicious -- wonderful, fresh, flavorful -- the best Thai food I've ever had. Kay makes all her own sauces (nothing from a bottle!). When our family stopped eating meat, Kay accommodated us with wonderful vegan sauces for all our favorite dishes!! Our favorite go-to dishes are Pad Thai with Tofu (ask for it with a side of bean sprouts and a wedge of lime, and toss them together), Pad Prik King with brown rice, and the Thai Basil Fried Rice. The Avocado Curry is also great!! And the Mango Rice dessert is so good. Actually, all Kay's homemade desserts are good. EAT HERE! And eat here often. Support a wonderful local business, where your meal is cooked with kindness and skill, served by a delightful family. I know you will love it as much as we do.
Such a weird experience i had today. We walk in and weren't greeted by anyone. Had to walk towards the kitchen to find someone. We didn't know they didn't do dine in yet so when I found the menu which they didn't offer, after looking through it I had to find someone again to place order. Than we waited super long and our food was burned and had minimal flavor. I love thai food and been eating it for years, this food was not "made with love" nor was it made with skill.
Good Thai food. Take out only for now
Love the food
delicious!
A hidden gem!
Forgot somethings in my order.
Dee Des Moines is a great small town thai restaurant. The food is always fresh, hot, well-portioned and flavorful. But the people and the service is really what keeps us coming back!
Really delicious food and very kind people.
best food I had while on a 10 day work trip had it twice :D
Can't get better thai food than here in my opinion! I go 4 stars!
I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been eating nothing but oatmeal and seeds for months but this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Definitely the best Thai food I’ve had from a place that delivers. I ordered a chicken pad thai and chicken basil fried rice and it was the best meal I’ve had all year and there’s still 2 servings left over. TIP: drown the noodles in lime. It’s a blessing and curse to find a restaurant this good so close to home.
Sooooooooooooo good.
This place has a very calming ambiance and is always a pleasure to eat at. My personal favorites are the pad see ew and the vegetarian egg rolls, which are just so delicious. The staff are especially kind, and I will come back again. 5/5, would give more stars if I could. :)
If the decor makes you think you're in someone's Grandma's house, it's because when you're there your family
Love the foods and the environment here! Nice servers. We love the Larb Gai and some other dishes that I forgot the names, their various curries, Tom Yum soup, and of course the Pad Thai. A little pricey for poor students like us. Haha. But still love to come here for Thai foods whenever we can. :)
I ordered the pineapple fried rice with only vegetables and it was sooo delicious! The serving size was enough to feed me for two meals.
The odor inside is interesting. The food tasted good BUT there is so much msg in the food that it actually made me feel terrible. The mango & sticky rice was delicious though. I'd buy that again but nothing else.
We've lived up the street for 15 years and this has been our go-to Thai restaurant. Throughout the years there has been at least one management change...luckily they've kept the same Pineapple Fried Rice. The other dishes are great too. Nothing replaces the street carts in Chaing Rai and Bangkok, but I do enjoy this restaurant.
Wonderful service and, fantastic food!!!
What a great discovery in little Des Moines
Good Thai food and simple online ordering! I ordered the Avocado Curry and fried rice. Both were delicious and I had enough for two (almost three) meals! I will definitely order again.
WOW JUST WOW. This place has me hooked on their Chicken Pad Thai. It’s in believable how perfect it is. The flavors are always spot on. The noodles are always perfectly cooked and saucy. The ratio of the veggies to chicken to noodles is always perfect. The portion is more than enough I always save half for later and it microwaves really well! Bravo bravo to the chefs! I will always recommend this place as the BEST Thai place.
I prefer this Thai restaurant over the resr
This place has excellent food and everything tastes great! Definitely will go again!
Great service, nice people, amazing food
A little pricey but good food.
Great food well presented. We went around lunchtime and I asked about allergy options, they substituted for me on the lunch special and accommodated my celiac. The curry was delicious, the Pad Thai tasted like real tamarind, and the fresh roll appetizers were crisp and tasty. My partner got the Showering Rama off the main menu, and there was a light char that enhanced the flavor of the sauce.
I've had variable experiences during lunch time depending on who's on shift. Today reminded me how good the food can be when the right staff is there.
I try to find authentic Thai restaurant for long time and I found it now. Every menus are the same taste as I eat in Thailand. The owner is very nice and she's cooking with love and care I can feel it. If you miss real Thai food, just came here!
Very authentic Thai food. The owner was extremely nice. Wish I could give more stars. Will be back soon.
The food tasted great! The biggest down side is the size of the meal and lack of meat for the price I paid the meal consisted mostly of noodle which is the cheapest part of the meal. I did get it to go, but like I said 11.50 for a bento box size of food?
Only do takeout, but my family and myself have no complaints on the food. Careful the 5 star spicy, sometimes it can nuclear.
ZERO STARS! Overpriced, miss labeled, and falsely advertised! Bet you clearly states like coming knowledge for anybody that’s had a spring roll would know it should entail of the rice wrapper, lettuce, carrots, shrimp, noodles. Now take a look at that picture and tell me if you see any of the last two ingredients. Might as well call it a lettuce wrap because that’s all it was was just lettuce and carrots and a piece of shrimp buried in the middle of it all is aware of that. After calling and complaining the owner said that that’s how they are supposed to be made because they have people complaining that the noodle start to smell bad from keeping them overnight. That’s a whole separate issue don’t list an ingredient literally on your website it bad you that you are knowingly not going to include in the item because I would not have paid what I paid for a literally just all lettuce and carrots because you guys what a cheap out and put whole shrimp or noodles and your spring rolls. I have never ever been to any type of Asian establishment that would call this a spring roll with no type of protein to it whatsoever and the restaurant was less than fourth coming being helpful in making it correctly. Never ever coming back and making sure nobody I know ever wastes their money there!
great food
Hidden gem in Des Moines!
Service and food were fantastic! Will be returning. The menu is top notch with something for everyone, we were very impressed.
Great prices and portions
Great food, home-like atmosphere. Attentive service. All you could ask.
This place was so home like, cozy and super beautiful And food was delicious near Des moines beach...👍👍
Delicious food
Food was great, but the place had a lingering smell of ammonia like cat piss.
Comfort food
Des moines thai
I don’t understand how there wasn’t a line out the door to get into this place. I have never had such incredible Thai food in my life (and boy do I love Thai food). We ordered different dishes family style and loved every bite. The family who works there was so kind. Highly recommend.
This place is so cute and quiet. The service is speedy. The waitress was a doll. The food is great. Great spot for lunch. 😊
The food was delicious!
Authentic, freshly cooked thai foods, delicious...
My friend took me there it was my first time. I must say the food and staff where exceptional. My friend had fish cakes which she said they are to die for lol and I had chicken pad Thai which was amazing. I definitely recommend this place for a great meal!
This was the best and most authentic Thai cuisine we have ever eaten. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was kind. It felt like they had us over for lunch in their dining room. I am excited to go back.
This place is pretty fricking authentic! The quality of the food is off the scale and worth every penny! You can even order through google/doordash! Even the desserts were too good!
I ordered Thai fried rice and ask them if they can add tomatoes to my fried fried rice with extra charge. They did charge 1.50 and 3 slices of raw tomatoes in my to go bag!wow...I ordered extra tomatoes in the past and this is the only place gave me raw tomatoes with extra charge. I am not going back and my other order was too salty
Food poisoning. First and last visit.
This restaurant had such great atmosphere and the food was amazing. This is definitely going to become our regular Thai place. The pineapple fried rice had a great spice to it and a little more curry then some other places which really adds to the dish.
Best Thai food in the area, great price!
I am disappointed in the cost to food proportion ratio. I ordered the Beef Pad Mama. It's listed for $11.50ish. I asked to add shrimp to the order. The total became $18.00+ if I knew the size of the food, I would of been better off ordering two Beef Pad Mama for the similar cost of 1 order. There are 5 pieces of shrimp and around 7 peices of beef. The beef was very chewy and the taste is alright.
Love this place! Food is excellent but the icing on the cake is the excellent service provided by our waiter Pete! Fast efficient service and Pete’s charm and good looks will have us coming back for more!
Amazing food. Some of the best Thai in the region. 🥰
First time ordering from Dee's and my partner and I are both extremely satisfied! The Jungle Curry was flavorful and refreshing. Chicken Pad Thai was sweet while the medium- hot spice I ordered was apparent in every bite, I really enjoyed my noodles. Shrimp rolls & crab wontons were also delicious appetizers. We will most definitely be ordering from Dee's in the future.
The food is very good
Amazing cuisine, homey ambiance. Great owners! 😎
Service was ok but could have been a bit more personable being that I was only one there when it just opened. Atmosphere was pleasant and my yellow curry meal was very tasty! Unfortunately I did not know that the pad thai that it comes with as a side would have eggs in it. So I did not get the chance to enjoy everything from this combo dish. Next time I'll have to ask for without eggs or ask just to make it vegan. Black sticky rice dish with coconut milk and fruit was very nice! Will dine here again in the future.
There are RATS running around the parking lot. In and out of the landing on the side of the building. Rats got to eat! Enjoy their droppings!
The worst!!! Ordered a 2nd time thru Uber only again did NOT receive our order.
Absolutely Wonderful! I took my daughter here yesterday evening. We were looking for some good Thai food and stumbled onto this place. As we were there for an early dinner we were seated quickly. Now I don't know much about Thai food outside of Pad Thai which I've had enough of in this life time, so I let my daughter pick out everything and everything we ate was a burst of flavor that hit your mouth and all you could do was close your eyes and savor the taste! I will definitely be back again. I'm giving them 4 stars because they don't have a liquor license but if you bring your own, you are allowed to drink it there. But overall, this place is a gem!!
This is easily the best Thai spot near where I live and the Customer service was excellent.
Truly going back there every time I want to get Thai food in Des Moines.
Ordered from Dee Des Moines while staying at the Four Points Hotel. This is the most amazing Thai food I have ever had! It was presented beautifully and tasted even better. The delivery guy was very helpful and friendly. An amazing experience.
Food is awesome, delivery man was friendly (and has a pleasant voice). I wish I was closer I would make it a regular place to visit.
They have created a unique dining ambiance in a room with a fireplace and a window looking out toward the evening sunset
Quaint and comfortable. We came kinda late and were the only people in the restaurant. The server was friendly and attentive and never made us feel rushed. I always order the chicken pad Thai and it never disappoints.
by far the BEST THAI in the area. I order from here all the time for our work meetings and personal dishes. I have never had a bad dish. very flavorful and always hot when received.
Thank you! Well worth it! I order through Uber eats a lot also if you cannot make it down there. the ONLY downside is that they're closed on Tuesdays! :)
Delicious!
This place is amazing! Must try this
This place is so great! I really like the pineapple curry and crunchy garlic chicken but everything i have ever got or people with me has been excellent.
Good food a little pricey for lunch
Turned us away to seat others and wouldn't serve 😢- not sure if real place of business .
We had Massaman Curry, Drunken Noodles, and Hot and Sour Soup--we all loved our food and the service and decor were great too.
This is a wonderful restaurant. My girlfriend and I loved the food abd the service was wonderful. The owner personally came out to make sure we were happy with our food .I highly recommend this restaurant!
As of right now, this is IMO the best Thai food in the Seatac area.
Food was amazing.... Can't wait to go again
Honestly been going here for years
I’ve lived in the area for four years now
And tonight was a huge waste of money
I ordered the Pad Thai like I always do
Level three spicy
And when I got it home it was so sweet on top
And super sour on the bottom with no spice at all
Such a waste of money
It’s like it’s a new cook or something
But I will never go back again
Great food.. I will go back again.
Very good food, pleasant waiter.
Super accommodating and awesome food. If I lived in Seattle I’d come back all of the time.
Simply my favorite place. The real deal.
