Thai food restaurant
Big snowstorm prevented me from venturing far, was going to check out a highly rated Mexican restaurant, but unfortunately they were closed- fortunately Rama House was right next door! I have limited experience with Thai food so take my words with a grain of salt, but in my experience peanut oil is king in this cuisine. Rama House offered some excellent honest dishes- I had the drunken noodles and vegetable delight- both arrived piping hot and veggies were fresh and delicious! If peanut oil was present, it did not overpower these dishes. Because there are many businesses nearby I imagine a lot of their work is takeout, but I would encourage you to dine in- server was very helpful (explained that their spice levels are tailored to a typical Washingtonian tongue rather than a Thai tongue- I found level “3” to be pleasantly spicy without burning the lips!) Decor is nice with comfortable seating. Thank you for having me!
We almost tasted every dish here. Whenever we go there, we order food on a phone call and ask them to cook it vegan. The food and service are good.
Previously, we tried Kao soi, Basil Fried Rice, Massaman Curry, Pad Thai, etc.
Today, we ordered Yellow Curry and Veg Fried rice. It is awesome.
I've been coming to this restaurant since they were called Thai Rama in the mid-late 1990's, and despite the changes over the years (in name, staff, etc.) I've never been disappointed in the food, the service and the people who keep this restaurant one of my favorite Thai places in the area. My favorite dish, hands down, is the Thai Rama fried rice, which is a unique take on a staple Thai classic (fresh meats and vegetables in a delicious sauce served over a bed of succulent fried rice). I am sure I'll continue coming to eat here as long as they stay open, which I hope is many, many more years.
Excellent pumpkin curry; rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The ingredients were fresh, and the service was friendly. Highly recommend!
I ordered for delivery. Food still warm when arrived. Since it's my first time on this restaurant, I decided to give three stars because I found Orange Chicken too sweet and has very thin sauce. Pad See-Ew and fried rice are a bit on the sweet side. I will come back and update my review later on after I tried more dishes.

Great service with authentic food and a friendly atmosphere
Rama Noodle Supreme was one lump of cold, greasy mush. There were little to no vegetables or chicken, and the peanut sauce was missing. When I called to tell them about the order, they interrupted me and said, "I can give you peanut sauce free next time." That is not the resolution I deserve. I expected a full refund or the dish to be remade. The spring rolls were soggy, too.
Family's favorite Thai restaurant

Great Thai spot, I go at least once a week.
$15 fried rice for lunch special? It’s not worth the price.
Definitely a vibe of culture. However the food was watered down. Also they failed to inform us the online menu order from their site. Items were not available. They did not call nor give us a refund. Instead when we showed up she gave us our bag and said I quote “it’s all there” we’re all human so I checked and it wasn’t. She said our refund would come midnight. So I asked for a refund slip. She replies “I haven’t put the refund in yet” 🤣 I asked her to apply refund immediately or, sub my food. Overall poor service poor food. I found that they tend to serve my African mates better. But that’s just my experience hope it helps.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant. Their spring rolls are amazing! Their orange chicken is also very good, and is lightly breaded which is super good. Haven't had a bad noodle dish there. I usually just get take out since the atmosphere isn't as great but it is clean and still good for lunch with a friend
Big portions and reasonable price. Tasty food as well.
This is by far our favorite Thai restaurant in Seattle. We have tried many in the Seattle area and often they fall short in comparison. I really like the pad se ew and get this each time I go. Other favorite dishes of ours include: chrispy garlic chicken, pad Thai, drunken noodles, and crab wontons. Food is often ready quickly so they are our go-to when I dont feel like cooking.
Good overall. Service good, price was a couple dollars more than I usually see. Almost 5 stars but the pad siew’s caramelizing & charring (the traditional signature of the dish) was was essentially non-existent and the noodles were overboiled (crumbling). The flavor was great, but the noodles were a miss.
Ordered online. There was no indication on the menu the sticky rice with mango was seasonal. The photo had mango and sticky rice. The spring rolls lack flavor.
The food is not very tasty, the waiter was annoyingly begging for tips.
Avocado green curry was absolutely delicious!
Ordered:
1.Thai Ice Coffee - Too sweet
2.Fried rice (Veggies & mushroom)
Portion size: Too less for the price but the taste was very good
Overall: Good 3/5
Good food and fast service. Their lunch menu combos are also very plentiful in options and size. Also in March 2022 we went for dine in and the dinner was excellent with great service as well and all Covid precautions.
$16 for a pad Thai seems expensive, even given the inflation. The worst part is it doesn’t event taste good. When the waiter asked me how spicy, I said normal spicy. The thing actually tastes sweet rather than spicy. Not authentic.
Rama House totally messed up our toGo order.
Instead of fresh spring rolls, they put deep fried eggrolls. We ordered non-spicy food, and all of our dishes were spice level 2 to 3. ! We basically just put to garbage 90$. Awful experience! We will never ever order from this place again!
I called to place a pick-up order, and asked if there were any specials. The lady who answered the phone said, "the same as on our board".
I said, "I don't know what's on the board".
She says, "have you been here before?"
Would I be asking what the specials were, if I knew? I couldn't believe it. I said, "if you can't tell me that over the phone, I guess we'll go somewhere else".
I have been there before, but it's been over a year! Great food, but service is lacking and I just couldn't believe she was talking to me like that on the phone. :(
So sad, because we wanted to support local.
Food was great and they were definitely vegetarian friendly too!
Great service and food options. Tom Yum soup was delicious
The yummiest Pad See-Ew! Loved the food although I could've used more flavor in the wonton soup but that could just be me. The spring rolls were tasty. Overall, very much enjoyed finding this spot while I was traveling.
We had the curry beef n chicken noodles. In both dish, the meat was so tough. I was wondering whether if they cooked the meat for another customer who changed their minds.
Delicious curry that was served hot and with very ample portions. Server was attentive and polite. Really nice atmosphere. All of the food we ordered was great and looked fresh. I would HIGHLY recommend this place!
Delicious food
My favorite place for Thai food for the past 20 years. Ownership has changed a few times, but the recipes are still excellent. I used to eat lunch there one a week for many years when i worked across the street at Philips.
I have been going to this restaurant for at least two decades (it used to be called Thai Rama.) Started dining there before I met my husband and we have been together 18 years. I grew up in Bothell but have since moved away from the area and anytime we come back home, we have go for some Pad Thai and Crab Rangoon. I don't know how they've managed to keep their food as consistent and delicious as they have, but every time tastes like the first time! I've tried many Thai restaurants over the years and nobody has ever measured up! Thank you for staying true to the roots that made this restaurant my favorite place ever!!
Ordered fried rice with medium spicy and they made it extra spicy, horrible taste and pricy.
This place suppose to be good for fried rice , however not any more.
The food is fresh and fabulously delicious. Service was great! Thank you.
Yummy fried ice cream
Good spot for a quick lunch, tried the vegetable curry
Their Tom kha is on the spot
Wonderful food and service! I wish I would have found this place sooner!
Food was tasteless and covered in pepper flakes. Completely inedible. We won’t be ordering from here again.
Stumbled upon this place for lunch, great find. Food was fresh and done very well.
Great food and service will.go back again
Avocado curry! I went with friends, order many things then we share them. We each ate our fill and we still had leftovers. Phad-Thai, chicken 2 stars, avocado chicken curry, ginger beef, fresh rolls for starter. Everything so good, so fresh, and served kindly by attentive staffs. This is a regular go-to.
We almost tasted every dish here. Whenever we go there, we order food on a phone call and ask them to cook it vegan. The food and service are good.
Previously, we tried Kao soi, Basil Fried Rice, Massaman Curry, Pad Thai, etc.

Awesome Thai! Service was excellent.
We get delivery from Rama House maybe too often. They’re quick and reliably good. I love the fresh rolls and pad see ew. I don’t think we’ve ever had them mess up an order. Their 3 stars spicy is hot!!
Food was great, but no AC so it was like eating I'm an oven
I like this place for a quick lunch during the day, the Orange Crispy Chicken is my favorite.
Loved it! Good food! Good people!
overall fine, though far from a first choice in Thaifood. The fresh rolls tasted like someone just took a salad mix and added 3 shrimp to it. The Pad Ginger did have ginger, but for a 3 spiciness level I was able to eat it (without rice because it didn't come with any) and barely tasted any spiciness to it. Pad thai was average.
Surprisingly satisfying lunch specials! Everything my wife and I had here was enjoyable, although the Thai tea was sickeningly sweet (and I like Thai teas!). Attentive service and the food came out quickly. Dishes seemed to have a default spice level, regardless of what was requested, but the flavors on the plate were great and leftovers reheated wonderfully at home. Not my favorite Thai place ever, but a solid option that I'll likely return to if I'm in the area.
You’re better off going to eat from a dumpster.
Haven't been here for 15 years, but the food is still the same, full of flavor!
I really loved my meal here! I came in at lunch time and was able to get a table right away. It was lunchtime, so it was busy, but the food arrived at the table quickly. The vegetables were perfectly fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce was perfectly balanced.
I had Chicken Over Rice here, and it was great! The restaurant is nice and cozy and is conveniently located, with ample parking space. You’ll see that this place is well patronized and also find a good variety of items to choose from. All in all, with good service and friendly staff, the restaurant is good value for money - recommended. 👍
The food here us SO good; get the Southern-style phad thai! Any of the curries are excellent as well.
I tried this place a couple days ago for the first time and I’m so glad I did! I ordered beef pad see ew and the orange chicken. They were both really good but what surprised me was the Orange Chicken , it was phenomenal. It’s really hard for me to find a good decently priced orange chicken. This one was amazing , not too much dough and it was perfectly crispy. And the steamed veggies it came with were rlly good too, The taste was great for each dish , highly recommend trying this place! Especially if your as picky as I am about your Thai food or orange chicken
Edit: I continue to come here when I can and I even got the chicken pad Thai to try a couple weeks ago which is also pretty good. My family loves the orange chicken here as well.
My favorite thing about this restaurant us how they make the pad see ew, they also slice the broccoli very nicely which makes it so much tastier!
Rama House is always delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. Now that they're able to do dining again, they are pretty busy, but in the best way possible.
Really enjoyed it.
Expensive
Num Pik Ong curry is still a favorite, after 20 years.
Nice & clean little place.
We didn't eat there, but it sure smelled good.
The very nice hostess allowed my husband & I to use the restrooms, for which we were very grateful, as we were traveling from Puyallup to Arlington.
Thank you so much Rama House!
The food here was great, the ambience could be better.
I ordered two vegetarian noodles. They tasted so bad that We had to throw the food away. The oil was either brunt or reused several times. Terrible, low quality, unpalatable food.
My husband and I eat takeout from Rama House on a regular basis. The food is always delicious and the staff is nice. There was a mixup with tonight’s order and the employees remedied the situation and quickly corrected the mistake. Highly recommend!
Food was good
We enjoyed the Rama House. The food was good, one person thought he got the wrong noodles (I think he didn't know Thai food). The service was slower than expected considering how few people were there, but I would definitely eat there again.
Although I cannot attest to the quality of the rest of the menu, I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the Drunken Noodles I’d ordered to-go. The first thing I noticed was the unusual smell, which kind of reminded me of garbage to be honest. But I figured maybe that’s just how drunken noodles smell, and that it might taste better. From the first bite I noticed that the noodles seemed more like a glob of soggy lasagna than actual noodles, giving me the impression that they were prepped in advance rather than being cooked to order, but if that was the case I don’t know why they told me it would take 30 minutes to prepare. On my fourth bite I finally tasted that which I’d been smelling and immediately spit it out, then threw the rest of the dish in the trash. I’m not entirely sure where that taste/smell came from - the vegetables and mushrooms seemed pretty standard fare, the tofu was tasty, and the dish wasn’t exactly drowning in the chili sauce, so my best guess is that it came from the mushy noodles, particularly as that was what was primarily in my mouth for that fateful bite.
Red Curry w/ Prawns & Pad Thai was fantastic.
Crispy curry noodles were excellent
I felt like I was in Thailand again. The pad thai and pork was amazing
pad see ew was so great, and tried pad garlic for the first time, yum. Their medium spicy was too spicy for us though.
Really enjoyed the Orange Chicken!
Below average. We ordered a 4/5 chicken fried rice and it was not even 1/5. Overall the food was good and fresh but not missing flavor.
We had an issue with our order and the owner himself called me and made it right, and was very genuine and pleasant. Great customer service!
Great Food, Great Service .. I will definetly be back
Pad Thai is great! One of the betyer places for sure.
One of our favorite Thai places. Their Avocado curry is amazing.
Great fresh red pineapple curry.
fantastic flavor and great service
Spicy, flavorful, and tasty.
Some of the best Thai Food I’ve ever had! They make the best Pad Thai, it doesn’t compare to anywhere else I’ve had it. I would highly suggest this restaurant to anyone.
I ordered chicken pad Thai and at first I was unhappy with the small portion size but when I tasted how bland and oily it was, I was happy there wasn’t much of it. Go across the freeway to Bangkok 90 cafe!! The difference in flavor and quality is night and day!
Always great food and service. Their pad thai is the best.
Rama House is a great place to eat. Big portions, and fast service! The food was delicious especially their Tom Kha soup....so tasty!!! And the price was right. Somewhat less expensive than fancy restaurants. If your looking for a casual eatery, with friendly staff, then this is the place.
Place have great ambiance. The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I ordered the Pad Thai with 4 star spiciness. The Pad Thai was well made and not too greasy. The taste was amazing but could be better; a few dash of salt could bring it to a whole different level. For a 4 star, it was not too spicy for my Southeast Asian tongue. Overall, I'm impressed. I hope to try a different menu next time.
Excellent!
Boom
I've been a pretty regular pineapple tofu fried rice lover of this place since i moved up here almost a lifetime ago. They rarely get my order wrong except this one time when my pineapple tofu fried rice was bereft of pineapple pieces altogether. Could be worse so i let it slide
But the last time i ordered the same rice item & drunken noodles the quantity left me seriously wanting. I can understand that the Wuhan virus might have blocked the supply chain but skimping on portion size is uncalled for. Just tell me we can't make it next time
Have enjoyed coming to this place for years for lunch. Service is usually very good and the food arrives quickly and is hot. Lately I've been ordering online for in store pickup but they still have seating available if you want to eat in.
Very nice people, and delicious food. what more could you ask for
Delicious food, pleasant staff, and everyone is adhering carefully to COVID-19 precautions. They do have a few outdoor tables.
Best pad thai
Highly recommend the fresh spring rolls
Food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly.
Above average food, missing some Thai faves on the menu. But, what I had was good.
I’ve stopped by twice to pick up the chicken pad Thai. It’s been hot and delicious every time. The portions are generous, flavor is consistent, and the service is prompt and kind. I’m so glad I found this place!
Bland food without any taste.
Ordered pad talay and brown rice what I got was white rice and something completely different.. I tried to be nice as to not waste food, so I tried it and found that I wasn't able to eat the hard veggies due to my braces. I ask to reorder my original meal and found that because I had took a bite I had to pay for the meal I didn't even order and was unable to eat! My partner was just as well unimpressed with the authenticity of her meal. Not worth the money or the headache.
We found this place by pure chance. It is so good we a table of 2 ordered 6 different dinners. :) We got a little too excited. Customer service was awesome some of the best I have had in a long time. Super clean place. The wait staff suggested ordering the special which is an avocado green curry dish. My boyfriend does not like curry but loves this one. The vegetables cooked perfect not mushy. The chicken and prawns were excellent. They were not rubber. :) I will be bring my family who are serious foodies aka chief and has worked at some notable restaurants.
I've never had food that literally smelled and tasted like cow manure before. Do not get the pad Thai.
Rama House never disappoints.
yesterday we order takeaway first time ,taste is really good but quantity is less as compare to other thai restaurant.
If you would like to spoil yourself go to this place
A simple jump off of I 405. There you will find the best Thai food ever! Not only is the staff kind and cheerful but the sauces,.... oh the sauces; peanut sauce and some mysterious sweet cucumber, a delightful symphony of well balanced flavors melded together by Perfection. The chicken skewers, the noodles; heaven on earth. YOU deserve this! Enjoy great food and staff that treats you as an old friend back in town. Reward yourself and support a good honest business. Your date will thank you.
Signed by a lady thinking of marrying a tow truck driver.
Very disappointing experience. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao, an order of pot sitckers and some chicken fried rice at around 5:40pm.
Late - My Uber eats driver went to bat for me to try and get the food as soon as he could (Thanks David), but the food still didn't arrive until nearly 7:20pm. The original estimate for delivery was 6:45 pm. Not end of the world right? These things do happen...
Pad Kee Mao - Cold. Noodles were all clumped together, there weren't many veggies, there was EVEN LESS chicken, and the overall portion size was disappointing. oh, and I ordered level 4/5 spiciness... It was NOT spicy and it looked as if the only spices that were added were a handful of red pepper flakes scattered over the top.
Pot Stickers - Cold, burnt, and soggy... somehow all at the same time.
I didn't check the fried rice because it was not for me but I really hope it was the best fried rice my roomate has ever eaten.
I do not recommend this eatery and I will not be ordering from them again (Though I may stop by and try their dining room experience when able).
Super delicious curries. Portions are similar to other Thai restaurants. Excellent prices. They always have big smiles when greeting you. Great location with a very clean dinning room. I so enjoy ordering curry the way I like it from Rama House. Super yummy. Use the online menu to order takeout with ease.
Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
Cheers!
I have a Tom Tai Soup obsession going. Tom Kha Coconut Soup was yummy. Ordered 1-star and tasted more like 1.5 - 2 Stars; HOWEVER it was still delish.
One thing I really liked about this restaurant was their Tom Kha soup had way more edible food than inedible food (herbs, roots, etc). I'm finding at most Thai restaurants their soups have more of the herbs and roots, which you can't actually eat, verses onions, tofu, mushrooms etc.
Thai food with multiple options
Too pricey but still go there some times because of the taste of the food but don't feel like I get enough for my bucks.
The best Thai food, the pork belly is amazing.
The mango sticky rice is amazing. It's not overpowering with sweetness it has the perfect amount of the sweet sauce that rest on the rice. And the rice is not under cooked. The mangos are perfect as well. It's the best I have had in a very long time.
The food is great. The staff are very friendly and nice The background music does not over power you if you want to have a conversation.
Hands down one of my favorite places.
