Easygoing menu with an array of classic Thai dishes in a space with bright, eclectic decor.

Quiet guitar music and no one but us at 11:30 am on a Monday. Best spring rolls we’ve tasted—very, very fresh—and the peanut sauce is perfect. Service with a smile—the waiter is upbeat, personable and extremely friendly. The food is outstanding—very flavorful—and the lunch portion was perfect with the spring roll appetizer. The view of the harbor is hard to beat too. Definitely coming back.
Absolutely amazing food, beautiful view of the harbor, boats and sunset and fantastic service! The staff are very friendly and give excellent service! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! I didn't think I really liked Thai food until trying this restaurant! I love Chinese food but never knew what to order at a Thai restaurant. Number 37 on their menu is very much like chow mein with your choice of meat and veggies and it's wonderful! They have such a great selection and large menu that I have branched out and I am learning that I love Thai food now! I highly recommend this restaurant and to give it a try! Now I know why there's always so many cars in the parking lot when I pass by! 😃
We enjoyed a late lunch here yesterday. It was excellent. We ordered several dishes, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Generous portions, great service.
Pad thai tasted like the sauce was syrup, sweet and boring. Orange chicken was the same, thick boring sauce and it was cold, fried rice was better as it had no sauce but it was pretty boring. I ordered a glass of chardonnay and it was obviously rancid. They took it away and never brought me another... we will never go back.
Pad Thai dreams do come true at Chada Thai.
We were looking for a quick dinner heading back to Vancouver from Blaine, WA. The area is beautiful with trains and by the harbour, Semiahmoo Bay and Thai food. I believe the owner and staff are Thai as we greeted a female with "sa-wat-dee-kha" and she responded back.
We shared Pad Thai and Pad See Ew and brought back memories from our recent Thailand trip.
The staff are so friendly we would come by next time we head over the border to USA.
Hidden gem. I can't believe this place was so close and I just discovered it. Beautiful location overlooking the Harbour. Located in Blaine downtown. It doesn't look like much but it's run by an all Thai team which makes this place authentic. The flavours are quite similar to what you'd experience in Thailand. I had the Pad Kra Pow. It was really good. Can't wait to come back with the family and try more items off of the menu.
Favorite Thai restaurant! Kind employees and excellent food.
Excellent Thai food with a nice view of the bay. We love the Thai fried rice and the garlic chicken stir fry. Great staff that's friendly.

Had the Wonton Soup, best Wonton soup ever had. Lots of chicken stuffed Wonton, plus lot of just chicken, beansprouts, spinach. Was great!
I've had it a few times now, good food. No complaints
Delicious food, generous quantity, perfect to come for the sunset

kind and warm. great view. peaceful
10 minutes ago I order a vegetarian yakisoba when I got home and checked there was little bits of meat in it.. feels like there used the same utensils to cook meat and vegetarian food
Thai food with a view
Was very excited to try this place after my partner raved about it, however we were both left very disappointed when we got our chicken pad Thai. The dish was really bland and had no green onion or bean sprouts... basically just noodles, chicken and a tiny bit of peanut.
So delicious!!!
Food was amazing and our server. He was just fantastic so attentive.
I stopped eating here when I got a lunch special that was literally measured a cup of food. I really love pad garlic, but didn't want to go far, I figured it had been a year and I would try it again. I bought 3 meals. I ate mine, wasn't that good. My husband and daughter didn't eat theirs. It just didn't have flavor, portions were small and it was a big waste of money. I don't think I'll go back.
Excellent, reasonably priced Thai cuisine.
Great food. Service was nice and friendly and fast. However it was very hot in there with no AC going. Probably won't go again until after summer.
The food was excellent, as was the waiter. The scenery was interesting, especially when the trains went by
Some of the best Thai I’ve had! We got a variety of items, including curries, orange chicken, pad Thai, pad kee mao, and Thai basil. They were all so delicious. The service is quick and very friendly.
Delicious food and great service! I would definitely come back.
Delicious authentic thai food.
Ordered 4 star Panang chicken to go, not spicy at all. Flavor was Ok. Order was ready when I arrived.
Lovely views, delicious food, friendly service!
Very nice atmosphere, our waiter was excellent and it was overall great service. However the food was just okay. I ordered the Pad Ke Mao and it was very bland and tasted of burnt dry spices. Not terrible but not was I was expecting.
Very good experience, the food was hot and fresh and prepared on the spot the service was also excellent. Definitely recommend
Great food and service!!
The appetizers were ok, but the food was delicious. We decimated our meal. Service was great as well, and the view is beautiful
Last time I was there I ordered the duck... waiter said " no duck, chicken," so I asked after the beef... " No beef ,chicken."
I guess all they had was chicken on hand.
YUMMY Thai iced tea... and everything else too!!!!
Nice Thai restaurant located next to the seaside, plenty of parking
Wife and I decided to try this place since we had never been and it had pretty good reviews. Overall, it was “simply OK” and nothing special whatsoever. The food was kind of bland with not a lot of flavor. Service was sub-par and they were not real busy. Had to wear a coat inside because it was so cold.
I ordered a glass of red wine and it had turned to vinegar. Tried a second (different) red wine and it was vinegar as well.
So, we will give them one more shot sometime in the future to see if this time was just a bad day for them.
I live this place and visit frequently
I've gone to this restaurant several times and never had a problem until now. I wanted soup so at the recommendation of the waitress
I order a bowl of Tom Kha soup. I asked for no onions. Not only did it come with onions, it tasted like flowery soap. And it had a black hair in the soup and an ant crawling on the plate. They did offer me another bowl but i was done. At least they didn't charge me. Never again!!!
Food was very underwhelming, especially having recently visited Thailand. Even compared to other US based Thai restaurants, it was lacking. Satay was barely seasoned, rice was bland and had some odd vegetable choices that aren't typical of thai. The thai iced tea wasn't very tasty either.
Great food, fast service..
Great view of the bay. Authentic Thai food that is worth the visit.
Lovely place to stop for a leisurely lunch overlooking great vistas of the bay and White Rock. Excellent hospitality, owner volunteered to show me the kitchen, authentic cuisine cooked by Thai cooks. George and his son were great company for a chat. Thanks for the great hospitality and conversations!
Great food. Great view
Great service but food tasted and smelled like expired shrimp that went bad last week.
Undercooked. First and last visit.
We were visiting the area and not much was open in Birch Bay, so we made our way to Blaine! This spot was great and we met the owner! It was already dark when we arrived but I imagine the view of the water would be amazing!
The food was amazing! This was a highlight of our off-season trip which was cold and windy. Service was friendly, we sat in a booth looking out at the sound.
I live locally in Blaine and order out in Chada Thai at least once a month (I would order daily if I could). I absolutely love and recommend their food. It is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant even after trying multiple other places.
Good Thai food. I ordered massaman curry, great flavor. But they forgot to add spice. The dining area needs updating, it's looking a little run down.
Great food, attentive staff! This is my favorite restaurant in Blaine, WA
Great food and great prices!
Really good food. Enjoyed all the items we ordered.
I'd been coming here off and on for a few years and loved it. Unfortunately the portions have gotten considerably smaller to the point of complaint. I used to get two meals out of one entree now one doesn't fill me up. First they took away the rice that it came with then they reduced the portions size. I ordered some sticky rice but it was inedible. I just threw it into the garbage can after the second bite. I called and said something but they didn't seem to care.
We had lunch here and we all agree that David the server is why we keep coming back here! David, you are such a gem. He made us feel so welcome. You are so kind, accomodating and we know you love your job. May you and your fiance in PoCo always live happily ever after!
First time in, wonderful food and wonderful view. The owner was at our table many times to see how we were doing. He even walked my 87 year old mother to our car and helped her get inside safely. Will definitely be back!
Very nice place with good food and view. Support local business
My Pad Thai was too sweet for me, but vegies and meat cooked to perfection. Hubby had seafood special, and he cleaned his plate and said it was good. Our server is new. He did a great job. Attentative and friendly but not annoying.
Reduced my 5 star review to 1 star been coming here for years and years. Used to be soo great, but now they are very inconsistent. Sometimes food is way too spicy and other times it's so bland I swear they forgot to add any spice at all. and they now charge extra for white rice.? Won't be eating here again any time soon.
i have lived here many years and cant believe i haven't tried thus restaurant before... AMAZING 🤩 great food and wow so fresh
Delicious food, friendly service. The owner came over and said hi. It was super sweet. Crab Rangoon was number one. Definitely will go again
Wonderful Thai Restaurant in Blaine Washington near the USA/Canada border.
Good food at very reasonable prices.
Best Thai I've had! Good service. I had the Pad Garlic with beef and brown rice. YUM!
The staff here are amazing! There was a miscommunication with the order and they felt so bad but it was just a miscommunication so no big deal, it happens. They were very kind about it. The view is incredible!
Ordered the chicken and shrimp pad Thai.... the sauce was so overly sweet and thr shrimp were under cooked and absolutely disgusting. And then there were 4 or 5 small pieces of chicken in the while meal.. would not recommend. Front desk waiter was so nice... only good thing I can say
Great food, big helpings, and fair prices all around. Just up the road from my house and one of my favorite places to eat out.
Great thai food
I really liked it here. And the food was amazing. Good price for Thai food
Great little place. Excellent food and service
Had a good time at the Peace Arch and saw this place before heading back to Lynden and stopped in and had some great thai food and great service. Really good place to eat with a great view
Consistently great food.
Delicious food. I love Thai food but some places don't cook with love. These guys do. So far I've found 2 places you can't beat and Chada Thai is one of them. Highly recommend the Evil Garden noodles and chicken satay.
Our team of employees got a large order for lunch - the guy taking our order was awesome and efficient! Our food was hot and very tasty, and it only took them about 20 minutes for 6 people - I officially love this place!
Took my father for lunch post Father’s Day. He enjoyed it
The rice was at room temperature. I ordered the lemon grass chicken which was a cooked chicken on a bed of cold raw spinach and room temperature steamed broccoli all drowned in a peanut sauce. The lemongrass chicken and peanut sauce did not pair well. It was pretty much inedible.
When asking for gluten free recommendations from a friend in the area, this place was mentioned. When we arrived, I asked the server what gluten free options they had as nothing was marked on the menu and he seemed a little thrown off by the question. I asked about the curries as my thai go to is usually red curry but he said he didn’t think they were gluten free. He ultimately said the pad thai and the wok bowls were gluten free but it didn’t feel very convincing. I ordered the pad thai because I know that traditional pad thai is gluten free. I chose tofu as my protein but it tasted kind of freezer burned. I’d say overall the dish was fine, just would suggest choosing a different protein. The portions are pretty big and the people in our group enjoyed their dishes. Not sure I’d come back given the uncertainty around what dishes were gluten free.
The food was delicious and authentic. The server was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant is bright and has a gorgeous view.
Some of the best Thai food ever.
This place is awesome great food and service. Thanks to all for a great night!!! 🤗😇
Food was ok, but lacked flavour and punch in the sauces. Beautiful views and friendly service. Lots of vegetarian options.
Consistantly Excellent Food
Love the shrimp pineapple fried rice. Like any restaurant, I highly encourage you to double check the accuracy of your order if you do take out. Once they forgot the pineapple in our shrimp pineapple fried rice. They made it right by comping our next order of it. Crab rangoons are also fire.
Great view, service, and food!
I love this restaurant with all my heart, their crab ragoons, and pad Thai are to die for
Honestly, this is some of the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. The staff is also super sweet great customer service
Their best dishes are red chicken curry, pad Thai, and house special.
The prices went up, and I didn’t like that we had to pay for rice. If they raised the price already, they shouldn’t charge for rice.
Delicious meal, amazing service. I'll defend ho back and recommend to all my friends
This has been my go to Thai place for years now. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good! Never been disappointed
My only suggestion and complaint would be not enough peanut sauce on the lemongrass chicken. Other than that great job.
Very run down inside needs to be cleaned and definitely Remodeled. Dirty vents and cracks and filthy ceiling
Excellent food, reasonably priced, with views of the bay.

This place is amazing. My place of work orders from here all the time and the food is perfect. The Basil Fried Rice and the Yellow Curry are my favorite. I would eat here everyday if I could!
Love the taste. Love the atmosphere. Love the service.
I have given this place 3 trys, to redeem itself but each time it is a disappointment. I get the same three things at each thai place ive eaten at. This is by far the most underrated and underwhelming thai. I get 3-4 star Chicken pad thai, and here i got what was supposed to be a 3-4, but is more like a 1 and there is no sauce ever, even when I asked for extra.
All in all its kinda sad thai food. They need to better their sauces and spices. The Thai tea, was okay.
Go to luxe in ferndale. Or even better Wanada in Bellingham.
Very excellent & accommodating waiter; very large main course; Harbor view
Me and my family have been coming here for 7
Years and we have never tried something we did not like. The food is always fresh and hot. The restaurant has a very peaceful atmosphere and the staff is very attentive. We go here for every special occasion 10/10
This was one of the best meals my family and I enjoyed in a very long time. The food was healthy, hot, and fresh. And to top it off the service was amazing. We will definitely be back and we look forward to trying the other dishes. They all looked so good on the menu, it was hard to choose!
We had chicken pad thai, chicken yakisoba, and pad ginger. Each dish was incredible and Im glad we all shared!
Good food nice view specially at night watching the boats in the sunset really good food nice place to unwind
Worst choice to dine in, usually do to go orders and decided to dine infor the first time. Teenage hostess with pigtails was rude (must be her first job) and just standing around, we asked for a high chair and she just pointed at them, we had to get up twice to give her a hint to come to our table. 15 minutes went by she kept standing there and finally when I stood closer she finally came over with a passive aggressive attitude when we asked her about kids meals. Basically she made us lose our appetite and we got up and left. Saw that other people were unhappy with her service as well and sending their plates back. Sadly this restaurant probably doesn’t many people applying for a server/host jobs they just have to settle with immature lazy people. The restaurant wasn’t busy there was only two tables and another person taking to-gos. Yikes!
Good food but the place Really needs a reno.
Always enjoy the food and kitchen staff are extremely kind and helpful. Usually a good experience. Until white hostess wouldn’t answer my questions about dining in and said it would be “great if I took my food and left.” If I was rude, it would be understandable. But as someone who’s worked in the food service/ hospitality industry, I always make sure to be kind, understanding, polite, UNPROBLEMATIC to workers. I’ve witnessed problem customers first-hand.There was no need for her to act this way. Very unfortunate she tarnished the face of the restaurant. Again nothing against the kitchen staff they are amazing.
I take my wife here for date night. Our first date was here. The staff is very friendly and gives good service. The food is delicious and done right up pretty!
Food it great. Location and view are great. Staff can be a bit surly.
Wide selection of dishes and they are liberal with letting you customize.
Dinner was great, especially after driving for many hours. Parking was a little tight, but workable.
The service and food were excellent!
I just think the bathroom could use a good cleaning.
The orange chicken was absolutely terrible, me and my boyfriend aren't picky eaters whatsoever and we ended up giving half to our dog and throwing the other half away. The chicken was a weird texture and made my stomach hurt after just a couple bites. Soups good though.
Every time I order take out from this place I ask for a chicken pad thai 5 star extra extra spicy and chicken pad thai 2 star and thats never what I get. Both the 2 and the 5 star are usually equal in taste and not spicy at all. Im always really nice when I go and tip 20%. Im not sure why my meal always get messed up. Ive never complained... but I do tell them to make it as spicey as they can every time I call and still, nothing 🤷♀️
I Love this restaurant! It's got a great view of the harbor and the food is amazing!
Very very good food. I think they are family owned and operater. People are great.
Have been coming here for a few years now. They are consistently good quality and a fair price. Very tasty. I love their crab Rangoon.
One of the few local restaurants that have come out of the pandemic better than they went in. Service is great. Food is excellent and better than before. (and I dont say that lightly). No reason to drive anywhere else. If your not local, it’s worth a drive, eat and sit, and enjoy the bay.
Beautiful restaurant, gorgeous view, amazing service, and absolutely delicious food! Would recommend highly to anyone in the area!
Delicious! Had their pad Thai and red curry. Pad Thai noodles were nice and chewy. We were able to select the spicyness of the curry from 1-5. We selected 1 and it was the perfect amount of mildness. Service was good as well. Everyone was kind. Would definitely come back.
I hate to do this......but, our food was so bad!
We had 3 dishes and everything was so bland! We've a lot of thai food and been to Thailand, many times.
But this border line, terrible.
I hate to see anyone waste their money.
Maybe it was an off day?
Absolutely amazing food, beautiful view of the harbor, boats and sunset and fantastic service! The staff are very friendly and give excellent service! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! I didn't think I really liked Thai food until trying this restaurant! I love Chinese food but never knew what to order at a Thai restaurant. Now I know why there's always so many cars in the parking lot when I pass by! 😃
Great Thai food and I'm pretty picky when it comes to Thai. We split the Pad Thai and the Red Curry. The Pad Thai had a great flavor and wasn't too sweet with nicely cooked noodles. The red curry was delicious also! If anything maybe the chicken was slightly overcooked but all in all great value for the food.
Pretty good stuff! Price is a little on the high side, but that’s to be expected right now. Everything is pretty pricey at the moment. One of my favorite food spots in Blaine. Definitely recommend.
Not too bad. Big portions, nice staff.
NO A/C and it was a hot day. There were small ants on the table 🐜
The food I've had in a and taken out has been excellent. And the service is very good!
We ordered the shrimp Tom Kha, tofu Tom Kha, tofu pad Thai, chicken satay and Thai ice teas. It was delicious and authentic Thai food. Will be back to try more.
Update: Gave this place another shot. Super fast service and yakisoba was delicious, spring rolls were FRESH! Until I had stomach pains again 😩
Got take out, food looked way better than it was. The "fresh" spring rolls were not fresh and they forgot the peanut sauce, I had to go back. The orange sauce was good but the chicken was a weird texture and gave me a bad stomach ache. Staff was nice.
Hands down the best Thai food I have ever eaten.
Excellent food from appetizer to entrees.
Great ambience and amazing service kudos
First time ! It was delicious. Great view and service. I will be back
Fast service tasty food.
Wonder Thai food. Server was excellent. Highly recommend
The food was delicious and the service was really good. I'm really impressed with this place
Great food.
Love the food. I asked for hot spicy and this restaurant delivered. I ordered fried rice with shrimps, pineapple fried frice, tofu fried with veggies and spring roll. All dishes perfectly made. They gave me the real fried rice not like those other restaurants.
Fast service. Called, place order, go to the restaurant, waited under 10mins food is hot and ready.
Keep up the good work.
Excellent service!! Vegan options, amazing view.
We had dinner there last night (first time) and the food was great. We had the combination appetizer, Tom Yum soup, Mongolian Beef (oh my gosh, I wish I got that. My husband loved it) We liked the appetizers and the sauce that came with it. My husband loved the soup. My daughter & I had the Pad Garlic with pork and shrimp. The pork & shrimp came on fresh spinach, broccoli with a great sauce. We both really liked our dishes, and we all got fried rice, which was good. The waiter was good, he tended to the whole room. The only thing I would have to say is the ambiance of the restaurant left a bit to be desired, although it does look out at the harbor. Definitely going back.
Their food is delicious. The chicken fried rice is my favorite it has a flavor like none other. They are a bit spendy but the food is well worth the money spent. The peanut sauce is to die for also.
Flavorful meals. Courteous service. Mixed up our take-out with another order otherwise 5 star food.
Exceptional taste! Couldn't ask for a better place and the owner is so friendly and kind. The service was great and we got our food in a timely fashion. Definitely the best asian place in town hands down. No competition at all. I hope they keep up the amazing work!
Fantastic on point Thai food. Best I've had on the west coast. Had a world traveler comment Chada was the closest they've had to being in Thailand. It's a go to place.
Maybe I get there too late, but everything was a bit rushed. Including the wonton soup with all the wontons falling apart when served. Other dishes were ok, and dine-in service was a bit short handed. Seems like locals know is a takeout place.
My husband and I Returned from Bellingham this evening we stopped to have a little bite in Blaine (Chada Thai) before returning home. What a lovely restaurant and the owner was so fabulous he greeted us at the door welcomed us in, cleaned a table for us with the best view as he put it. 😀 I highly recommend Chada Thai and will definitely return.
A splendid little Asian restaurant, locally owned by George and Chada. I had a sweet and sour dish that was not full of thick sauces. It was simple and very tasty, and of portion size reasonable to the price. Stop in for inside seating again.
Okay you guys must take this Thai BBQ Chicken off the menu immediately. I am a 35 years experienced chef so I do know what I am talking about. You guys buy this roast Chicken from Costco or Safeway for dirt cheap and then served it with your sweet sauce and called it Thai BBQ Chicken. Embarrassing.
always have great food when i order from
here! the coconut soap and tofo pad thai are my favorite so far!
Great tastes takeout only right now but so worth waiting in your car for. We have eaten here several times and this time ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp so tasty.
I feel like this place has upped it's game since COVID. It didn't need to, but it did anyway. Well done!
Tofu tasted freezer burned and was inedible. Customer service is lacking.
Never had a problem here before but tonight I'm very disappointed. The shrimp in my yakisoba was so bad, I couldn't swallow it. It was pasty in texture and tasted like it had spoiled. Most likely will not go back.
Spent a while in Thailand and other eastern countries and this place is by far my favorite Thai restaurant and the food is very authentic. Been coming here for years but finally now leaving a review
Basic, I know but their Pad Thai noodles never disappoints. Reasonable prices for the amount of food you get.
Love their Thai food! Everything is cooked fresh while you wait.
I have ordered from here twice, first time all the noodles from the pad thai, and pad see ew, were dry and barely any veggies. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt cause it was busy… Ordered again today and I asked for 5 star Pad see ew extra chicken and veggies, and it had no spice, and no extra anything. Would not recommend, Go to Luxe if you want good thai around here.
Average food. Take out only, and it took 25 minutes to get the food.
Best Thai food I've had in a very very long time
