Vegan Thai Restaurant since 1987. takeouts and dine in available now. a reservation is required at least 24 hours in advance or else first comes first serves.
FYI - all allergies/food restrictions are welcome.
This spot is perfect for anyone who loves Thai food and follows a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. The flavors are vibrant, with just the right level of spice, and they even offer vegan meat options, which is a nice touch. I especially enjoyed the Tom Yum soup—it was delicious and packed with flavor. The crispy spring rolls and veggie tempura were tasty too, though a tad on the oily side. Overall, it’s a great place for plant-based Thai food that doesn’t skimp on flavor!
This place is amazing! It’s located in old downtown Bellevue. I loved the atmosphere of the place. The food was delicious. We ordered the vegetable tempura and the lunch special (which I heard replaced the buffet they used to have). It was so filling and I took leftovers home because they serve such a generous amount of food. You have the choice of the day’s curry (which was yellow that day) or vegetable stir fry. Also option of white or brown rice. We parked across the street but you can get your parking validated. The food came out quickly and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!
The place has a lovely ambience and great service. The portion sizes are generous, and the food definitely justifies the prices. We had the Hot and Sour Soup, Tum Yum Fried Rice, Drunken Mushroom Noodles, and Panang Curry—all flavorful and well-prepared. If you’re not used to spicy food, I recommend spice levels 1-3; for spice lovers, level 4 is a good kick, but level 5 is seriously hot, even for regular spice eaters.
While the ambience is nice, it may not be ideal for a first date, though that could just be personal preference. Their drink menu is also unique and worth trying. Overall, this place has definitely earned a spot on my list of top Thai restaurants!
This was my third visit to Araya’s Vegan Thai, and I’m consistently impressed by the taste and quality of their food. The flavors are perfectly balanced—not overly salty or spicy, just right.
I started with the tom yum soup, which was delicious! It had generous portions of veggies and arrived hot—just what I needed on a cold day. It was the perfect start to our dinner. For my main dish, I ordered the phad woon sen. The portion size was great, and the fine noodles were coated in a perfect garlic sauce—so flavorful!
My husband ordered the massaman banana curry, and it was the highlight of the meal. The silky curry base, combined with banana and other veggies, made for a rich and unique dish. It’s definitely something we’ll order again on our next visit.
Note: If you prefer softer vegetables or specific spice levels, I recommend mentioning it to the staff while placing your order to ensure everything is cooked just the way you like.
Araya’s never disappoints, and I look forward to returning for another wonderful meal!
Disappointing Experience
Visited on a weekend and faced a huge wait time. Unfortunately, every dish we tried was overly sweet, lacking authentic Thai spice.
The Thai Fried Rice tasted like tomato ketchup mixed with rice, and the Drunken Noodles were similarly underwhelming. Definitely would not recommend this place.
delicious vegan thai food conveniently located in old bellevue by the park.
every time i’ve been here, it’s been wonderful. i’ve gotten lucky and the weather was nice pretty much each time so i’ve gotten to sit outside. this place is fairly popular so it’s busy a lot of times, especially after work hours. the wait times can be long and it can seem crowded inside. i promise that it’s justified!
i can truthfully say that this is some of the best thai food i’ve ever had. i’m not even vegan lol but i’ll go here before most other thai places. i would say they shine best with their curries, especially the panang. their lunch special is also extremely hard to beat — it’s so cheap for a ton of food, i wasn’t even able to finish it all.
if you like thai food, this is a must-try. vegan or not.
One of the best vegan Thai places.
Tofu satay was great. Nice flavorful.
Brussel sprouts were bad. Felt burnt and and bitter - nothing like the sweet spicy Thai flavors.
Pad see maw (rice noodles) were great. Nice flavorful with plenty of veges.
Panang curry was good. Would have liked fried tofu as the regular one was too brittle.
Tom Yum soup was average.
As good is their food, their service is bland! Probably because they are always super busy. Not very friendly and take time to respond to requests.
Ambiance is casual family dining.
We really enjoyed the dining experience at Araya's! It's wonderful to have a restaurant dedicated to plant based foods! We sampled a variety of dishes (see pics) and they were all wonderful! The only suggestion I have is for them to use more diverse vegetables, as broccoli was in most of our dishes. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. It was also fun to look out on Main Street.
We went as a large group and quickly got service and food on a busy night.
Very strictly standard quality food. Slightly overpriced though.
Araya’s Place is a dream come true for vegan food lovers! Their Thai cuisine is bursting with flavor, and every dish is crafted with care and creativity. The menu is extensive, offering everything from classic curries to unique dishes you won’t find elsewhere—all completely plant-based.
The quality of the ingredients shines through, and the presentation was beautiful in every dish. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming and relaxed dining experience. They made a birthday celebration extra special for us by playing a background bday music and chiming in with a yummy dessert.
Don’t miss their dessert options, especially the black rice pudding—it’s absolutely divine. Whether you’re vegan or just love incredible Thai food, Araya’s Place is a must-visit. Amazing experience!!
Love their fried rice! Very consistent food! Really friendly staff and bustling place in downtown bellevue!
Great atmosphere for family and team events!! Their staff are really friendly and very knowledgeable!!
This place has a good atmosphere definitely. Service was also good. I didn’t like food that much though. Food was okay, not the best.

If you are longing for Thai food but your nose and gut can't bear with the fish oil that's typical for Thai cuisine, Arayas is the place to be. Just best good vegan food. Each serving is of decent portion.
The food here is wonderful and the staffs are super friendly. Definitely the best vegan restaurant in Bellevue by a long shot.
And can't believe it took me this long to find this place. My girlfriends and I love this location! The vegetarian food here is simply amazing!
So disgusted with this place! I’ve loved this place for YEARS but tonight when I picked my order up and directly showed them the order number and stating my order name on the order they gave me the wrong persons order. It was a big order but I didn’t give it any thought and brought it home. I realized it was the wrong order and called them to let them know of the mistake and they had ASKED ME to bring the food back. To which I did and the hosts whispered “thank you for bringing the order back”. I called the manager and let her know the situation after getting my order and she said “ok whats your concern?” Like girl what?! THATS SOOO DIRTY!! Why would you ask for food back?! I told her I wanted to make sure my food hadn’t been through anyone else’s houses and hands. And she does of course not, we just disposed of it. Giiirrrrrl it was a big order due that very moment. So sus and unhygienic. The order they mixed up with was Shauna Barlow for 5:10pm tonight. Shauna I hope you got freshly made food girl.
It's a good vegan Thai place. We tried tom yum soup, tofu satay, avocado curry, drunken mushroom noodles, All are so good in taste.
Araya never disappoints! I have been there several times and each time the food was consistently great. The service is fast and courteous as well. Plan for wait times as they are usually crowded.
It was an amazing place to have lunch with customized spice and very tasty dishes . Services were commendable.
Had a dinner date here. I had Pad Thai, my usual, and it was amazing. Lots of flavor and the tofu was cooked perfectly. Just a warning, I chose medium spice, which I usually do for Thai food, and it was a bit too hot for me. But otherwise everything was good and the service was great! Great place for vegetarian food! And pretty inexpensive.
Great tasting food! Very long wait and no hostess so you must write your name on the wait list before others jump over you in line. Good food and all vegan. Atmosphere needs cleaning and updating. The wall we sat by was very dirty
Delicious tofu satay appetizer. Main courses were disappointing but portions were big. Pineapple fried rice was interestingly good.
Their food is top-notch, and the lunch specials are a great deal!!
Really enjoyed the service and menu. Restruant was a bit cold, but food was perfect.
Oh my god, Becky! This place is so good!
Don't miss the tofu satay. The peanut sauce is brilliant.
Food is pretty nice and the price is quite reasonable given Bellevue.
The staff and the service is not great. They're probably unstaffed, under paid or both because it is quite hard to get their attention when you need something.
Great ambience, loads of good options
Loved the Veggie Satay and TomYum Fried Rice
They are a bit strict about the closing time so make sure you go well before they close.
Rest I like the place a lot!
Came here for the lunch special and definitely want to come again sometime! Love the flavors and variety, and portion sizes are great!
Arriving on a bustling weekday evening, I found parking a bit of a challenge. The closest spot was across the street from the park, a short walk away. A brief wait of five minutes landed me a table for one. While the service wasn't unfriendly, it lacked the warmth I typically expect.
Intrigued by the unique vegan Asian menu, I couldn't resist ordering:
* #6 Tempura: $15
* #25 Kraprao (3 spice level): $18
* White Rice: $3
* Jasmine Tea: $6
I was surprised to find an additional charge for rice, especially considering the nature of the Kraprao dish. The Tempura was a visual delight, colorful and flavorful. The Kraprao, though decent, felt slightly lacking. Both portions were generous, leaving me with leftovers.
Despite the minor hiccup, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return to explore other menu items.
Best Thai food around!! My non vegan foodie friends love it!! ❤️

The Thai Fried Rice tasted like tomato ketchup mixed with rice, and the Drunken Noodles were similarly underwhelming. Definitely would not recommend this place.
Amazing food. We tried
pineapple fried rice, 5/5
Veggie tempura, 5/5
Tofu Satay, 5/5
Basil fried rice, 5/5
Drunken mushroom 5/5
Pad Thai 3/5 (I’m not a big fan of Pad Thai in general, though)

The food is delicious. The place is very busy in the evenings. There is no dedicated parking. However, there is a paid lot next door. Wait times can be long during the weekend and the staff is rushed off their feet.
The space is quite lovely but they are packed, and so naturally it was very noisy. The menu is surprisingly vast, and everything looks great. I had the som yum, Tom yum soup and mock meat wide noodles in peanut sauce— which was TOO SWEET. Like sugary and not something you can eat more than 2-3 bites of. Naturally this dish was wasted. Everything else, esp the soup was FABULOUS! Would love to try the avo curry next. Please can you also expand to the Bay Area/SF.
Waitress was very rude, food is sweet for no reason at all
Good place and super friendly servers. The Curry can be a tad bit sweeter but overall I love, this place and the service provided. Will go again.
Would never recommend. Absolutely trash, 0 service, began when we entered and seated the people who came after us, spilled water all over my wife and son, did not acknowledge it or us for the next for 25 minutes while the restaurant was half empty, people before us received food before we got up to leave and ask for service ourselves. Would never recommend.

I always appreciate a restaurant with great vegan options and the tofu satay was amazing!

We had 2 dish one of then was great and another was so so. I showed up a little later, asked for a glass to drink water which never arrived. Asked for to go box they gave us paper box since the food would soak it, we asked for plastic box, which they provided, but the server was not happy about it. So so experience.
Delicious food! I went here for a work meeting with a colleague and it was just fantastic! I love everything I ate it was just so amazing. I can't wait to go back when I can!
The vegetable satay is a must try...
Food is really good. Pineapple fried rice is a must try! We ordered Tofu Satay, Tofu cream cheese, green curry and all of it tasted really good! The spice level was a bit spicier than usual Thai ratings (I generally order a 3 and it was spicy)
Best place to have veg and tasty food, food was fab specially spicy noodles
Even if you're not vegan, which I'm not, it's utterly delicious. Araya's is a delightful way to spend your hard earned money for great food.
The best Thai food in downtown Bellevue. Their mango salad is to die for. The atmosphere is Thai traditional, don't expect a modern look. Their food is incredible and I drive from Seattle to dine here. 5 out of 5! 👍
Amazingly delicious...!!!
Hands down the best vegan meal I have had in my life; I loved everything! The fresh spring rolls were definitely the best. Very allergen conscious.
-veggie satay - excellent 10/10, shockingly maybe the best thing we got. Excellent sauces.
-plant based meat with peanut sauce noodles - great 9.4/10. Wasn't the best veggie meat I've ever had but it was cooked well and amazing dish flavors overall.
-banana massaman curry - great 9.4/10, a little too much banana flavor; would have been better with some subtler plantains maybe. Delicious roti
Unique Thai food that was flavored so well, seemed like it was more authentic than your standard American Thai place
What an amazing place!
Beautiful interiors with exquisite decor, great service and of course most importantly spot on flavors. We ordered 5 different dishes and loved them all. I highly recommend getting spicy noodles and Cashew stir fry.
A great example for a place that can serve delicious food and still be vegan/vegetarian.
Good vegan Thai food!
Can you guys please improve your service quality just a little bit??? The worst service in Bellevue.
Very oily
My favorite thai restaurant. Food never disappoints here.
Amazing food, and a beautiful atmosphere. I love the spring rolls, and the fermented veggies, especially the carrots and rice.
The food here is phenomenal! The Massaman Banana Curry was one of my favorites, would recommend for banana lovers, it had a sweetness to it from the bananas and at times made me think it could be a turned into a dessert. The Tofu Satay was another good one that I’d order again - nice soft tofu on skewers covered in an absolutely amazing sauce, with delicious peanut sauce for dipping on the side.
The other two dishes we had were Phad Thai and Tom Kah — both also tasted great, but classics rather than something a bit more unique.
The only tricky part was finding parking — but it turns out there is a parking lot behind it in a sort of “alley way” that you can get parking validation for.
Tried the tom yum fried rice, pineapple fried rice and massaman banana curry. All were pretty good, speaking as someone who doesn't normally go for vegetarian options! The portions were also quite filling. Ambience was nice, service was prompt and friendly. Would go again!
Araya’s is a fantastic 100% vegan restaurant! Every dish is so good, featuring unique flavors and the option to choose between imitation meats or tofu. They offer great comfort food as well as lighter options, catering to all tastes. The ambiance is lovely, with white walls and green plants everywhere, making it refreshing inside. Love this place and highly recommend it!
I used to love this restaurant. The food tasted great and the portion sizes were worth the price. I had brought lots of friends over here and have both dined in and taken away countless times.
Lately every time I order their lunch set, I get less food than previously and a gradual and steady increase in price every 3-4 months. Sometimes I get a lot of rice and less Pad Thai. The dessert is consistently reducing in quantity. And they put more cream and less rice. Sometimes their curry will have 2 pieces of tofu and 5 pieces of zucchini. This combination of giving less food and increasing prices has made the value for money very low.
It seems to me that Araya gets so many customers that their quality is clearly suffering. I really like this restaurant so I am hoping someone sees this and does something about it. But I am done with this place for now. You have lost some of your most loyal customers.
Stopped in for the fresh rolls and we were not disappointed.
The rice wrapper was absolutely stuffed full of veggies.
Drunken Mushroom was hearty and delicious. I substituted the vegan chicken with fresh tofu.
I could not stop eating the phad see leu with extra broccoli.
I will definitely return to try the other dishes.
This is the best Thai restaurant out there imo!!
Service is very bad. Food is tasty so they get by. They make mistakes but don't apologize. It feels like they are doing us a favour. If it wasn't for the service would have gone more often. I'll take my business elsewhere.
Best Thai food I’ve ever had. Makes sense that they are busy during dinner time. Very good service as well. Flavors were really good. Mango sticky rice was bomb. Definitely will be back when we are in the area again!
Though I am hard-core non-vegetarian, I must agree that this restaurant made Vegan Thai equally delicious. We tried the mango salad, red curry and pineapple fried rice. All three were outstanding with the pineapple fried rice being the best of the lot. The spice levels are on the higher side. I normally level 4 generally at Thai places but I would stick to level 3 here. And always opt for the fried tofu options vs soft tofu. Special shoutout to the server. He was gracious enough to change our red curry once.
The more I visit the place, the more I admire its culinary excellence. We started off with Veg Tempura and Fried Brussels sprouts. I never imagined veg tempura could be so delicious. The sprouts were amazing as well. For the main course we went for Phad Thai, Green curry and Panang curry this time. Phad thai was a perfect blend of spice, juiciness and texture. Panang and green curry were amazing as well. Also worth mentioning are their drinks. Thai iced tea and mango mania are worth a try.
Definitely in my top 3 thai restaurants around Seattle
No rice was given with curry, so you have to order it by side. Quantity of rice is less for the curry. Curries were delicious, and stir fry vegetables were awesome.
Thanks for making vegan food so tasty
Enjoyed delicious Thai cuisine here - the veg stir fry and fried rice dishes were really good along with the thai iced tea made with coconut milk.
The server did not bother to confirm our order, and, when one of the dishes came out wrong, tried to blame us for it. My friend asked that it be replaced, but then the server proceeded to take the utensils away and not giving my friend a new set when the correct dish came out (which she slammed on to our table).
This unfortunate experience, happening on a Sunday when the restaurant is only half full, indicates the total lack of training and professionalism on the part of server.
I’m an omnivore, borderline carnivore. Came here with a coworker who prefers vegetarian. This vegan cuisine was delicious. The staff was very friendly, asked for them to surprise me on an appetizer and main course. They delivered a satiating curry dish.
Highly recommend, regardless of your preferred food.
Really enjoyed dining here. Food is amazing and in particular the lunch special is a great deal. Place is also nicely decorated. Service was a little inattentive but they also seemed a little understaffed. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting Thai food.
I recently dined here and was blown away by the flavours and freshness of their plant-based dishes. The mango salad was tangy and refreshing, the fresh rolls were a delightful mix of crisp vegetables and herbs with a tasty peanut dipping sauce. The tom yum soup was a perfect blend of sour and savory, loaded with tofu and veggies. The spicy noodles had just the right amount of kick and were cooked to perfection.
Overall, the food was delicious, the ambiance inviting, and the staff attentive. I can't wait to return for more of their mouthwatering dishes.
This place is delicious, we went at lunch time and they had a promotion for lunch time that included a lot of food for like $15. It was great! It comes with spring rolls, pad Thai, salad, and your choice of stir fry or curry (the curry was delicious). I just wish the attention was better; it took a long time before our order was taken and our waitress forgot about our drinks until I reminded her, she seemed a bit distracted and it seemed like she was the only one working all of the tables. Maybe they need more people on the floor?
Cozy, family and budget friendly vegan food with excellent service
The veggie satay and Araya's portobello dishes were reallly tasty!! Their coconut juice & mango spritzer were also good! The Araya's special noodles was just okay. The day we went in there was some staff shortage unfortunately so we had to wait longer to get seated but the food was there super quick once we got seated and ordered. Good to come across a good vegan restaurant in bellevue. We need to support restaurants like this!
Loved the menu! Wide variety and with the vegan concept simply “guilt-free”!!
I used to love this place and been there so often. I always bring my friends who visit to try this place. But today we went in and it was a disaster. They were extremely rude to us, did not have glasses for water and served fried spring rolls which were cold on the inside (probably frozen and undercooked). When we complained about the spring roll being cold they didn't seem to care. The rest of the food came out pretty quickly but was quite bad, spice level was inconsistent. Overall just a poor experience and we won't be back.
This restraunt was pretty good for vegan. I didn’t really notice that meat was missing. The tofu really tasted a bit like chicken. The Tom yum soup was really good. Also everything is vegan
Araya Thai Place in Bellevue is a gem! The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the already great vibe of the place. The prices are reasonable, making it a fantastic value for the amazing vegan Thai food they offer. Must try their Pineapple fried rice, Peanut Sauce, Red curry, Pad Thai. A must-visit for anyone craving delicious, Thai cuisine!
I've been eating at araya's for almost 20 years. My first business trip ever I happened upon this place long ago and have been coming here every single time I come to seattle. They have two locations and both of them are a hit so I would highly recommend if you're vegan and want some awesome Thai food to check out this place
Authentic taste of Thai food, rare find and cheerful vibe - love the whites
Love the vegan food here!
I’ve been waiting to try this place for years now but somehow when we plan to, it’s already too late in the day. We finally made it during the day, and spent the afternoon here. The food was definitely FRESH, loved how their mushroom dishes were served with freshness. The flavors could’ve been better for my taste, but I do appreciate the large menu with vegan variety.
My go to place for Thai food. It’s vegan hence you can order anything and everything on the menu. Their pineapple fried rice, Penang curry, green curry are really delicious. Their Tom yum soup is a must. Spring roll and tofu satay is just amazing.
Terrific spice levels and delicious, wide variety.
I would give zero stars for this restaurant if I can, went with family and had a worst experience. The service was a disaster, the guy who was serving had no common sense, he served food with no plates to eat, most of the time we had to self-service. They charged 24% tip for no reason without proper service. I don’t know why they are open for dine-in service if they can’t do proper service. Very disappointing.
Absolutely love this place! Everything I tried so far has been amazing! Super flavourful food.
Love the avocado curry been
Eating it for a decade.
Highly recommended
Perfect restaurant basically, amazing vegan options that non-vegans will enjoy and a nice but not pretentious atmosphere
Great vegan food, definitely going back.
Vegetables were super fresh.
It's a pretty simple place with good food.
Good food and service. The brussels sprouts are delicious.
Many gluten free options
My wife’s credit card was charged extra than what was on the bill
Amazing food!!! I ordered takeout, the spring rolls were perfectly crispy and not doughy or soggy, the peanut sauce is great, and the mango salad was so fresh! Coconut ice cream is a nice treat. I’m definitely going to be a repeat customer!
Can’t say anything about the food because unfortunately we were turned away. The website says the restaurant closes at 9. Nothing about stopping table service or only take out available before that time. We came straight from the airport and were not allowed to dine in, only offered to wait 30 minutes for a take out order when people were still seated in this restaurant. Update your hours to say you stop taking patrons at 8pm since you clearly don’t serve customers after that time.
Horrible place, do not recommend. Stay away from this place.
A vegan gem in old Bellevue! Drunkin' Mushrooms recommended for fist time guests did not disappoint. Mid-level spice was perfect. And out service was attentive and careful. The restaurant was near empty when I arrived for lunch and packed when I left.
Best vegan Thai in the Seattle area! The food was very fresh and really tasty. Their Pineapple fried rice, Pad Thai and Mango salad are must try! We really loved their Veggie satay , Thai ice tea and the Green curry as well. All the food was full of flavor and makes you feel like you want to come back here again.
The restaurant has a very cute vibe as well and the staff have been nice to us. This place is usually quite full and right in the heart of Bellevue.
The restaurant is very cold during winter weather.
We were very excited to check out this vegan restaurant. The food was delicious! We loved the Drunken Mushroom dish and it was a healthy portion. Unfortunately for our visit it must have been 50 degrees in the restaurant (it was 20 degrees out and it appeared their heat was not working but they did have a couple heat lamps). Everyone was eating in their winter jackets and hats in the restaurant. It would have been nice to offer complementary tea given the very uncomfortable temperatures. I will not be back to this particular restaurant until it is warmer out.
I have been a loyal Araya's Place patron from Seattle, Bellevue, and Los Angeles for years! Being Vegan and loving Thai food, I'm hooked for life!
Really a fantastic meal.
Visited this place for dinner and absolutely loved everything we ordered - Panang Curry, Tom Yum Soup, and Drunken Noodles. All were delicious! Portion sizes are generous, and the ambience is nice. There is a wait time of 20-25 minutes, but the food makes it worth it. Will visit again for sure!
Easily the best vegan food I've ever had. Pineapple fried rice, panang curry and mango salad were absolutely spot on! 😋
Lovely vegetarian cuisine in a lovely environment!
Honestly I probably got the wrong thing on the menu since others in my party had awesome dishes. Really nice ambience too!!
Great food and fast service
Some of the best Thai food I’ve had 😍
Love this place! I've tried a lot of items, great portions, great flavors, OBSESSED with hot oil!
Overall we had a great meal here, I might have expected too much after so many recommendations and I do love the fact that the whole place is vegan!!! We had 2 different dishes from the lunch menu, very generous portions, we were 2 adults and a child and didn't finish it. Service was lovely and fast and they were accurate with how hot the dishes are, which I highly appreciate when dining with children:)
Food was fresh and service fast. We arrived half hour before restaurant closed at 3:00 PM but managed to order and eat lunch. Wasn’t able to examine all the offerings which is a lot! It’s a vegan restaurant so we didn’t have to worry about things like fish sauce additions. They have take out. Used to have a buffet but post pandemic it’s all a la carte. It’s a small space but great view of downtown activities through window wall. The serving size adequate but not huge. The pad Thai and Pineapple rice were just ok. Missed the hot oil. Red curry was good and the crispy tofu rolls and stir-fry veggies were awesome. The waitress was friendly and service was super fast. Suggest arriving early and linger over the soups, appetizers, and desserts! Prices a bit high due to downtown location, but food was fresh.
I recently visited this restaurant by a friends recommendation & really loved it!! The food here is amazing & flavorful . There are lots of vegan/veg options that I have never had in any other thai restaurant & it became difficult for me to choose my meal due to so many options but it was worth it!! The prices are reasonable.
Their Thai Tea makes you feel fresh & its a must try!!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is good & the service is quick, our waiter explained us the deserts menu in full details.
They also have parking nearby which you can have it validated in the restaurant for 2 hours.
I recently went for a lunch date on a weekday at this Thai restaurant, hoping for a more relaxed atmosphere than the weekends, but it was still quite busy. Luckily, we found a convenient parking spot. We kicked off with a delightful mango mocktail that had a tropical twist with coconut milk. The basil fried rice and pineapple fried rice were the highlight of the meal—undoubtedly the best vegan Thai dishes I've ever had. Despite finding the spring rolls a bit oily, the overall taste was authentic and aromatic. I made sure to confirm that all sauces were vegan, and the staff assured me that everything was 100% plant-based. The ambience was pleasant, and there was a cute bench at the entrance where many were capturing moments. Note: They only accept walk-ins; no reservations.
I really enjoyed the food here. Some coworkers and I decided to try it, so we ordered a couple of curry dishes as well as a rice and a noodle dish to share. It was all very good. I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, and I'm definitely a person who likes meat, but I did not miss meat at all in these dishes. Lots of flavor.
In all honesty, this is the BEST Thai restaurant I have been to!! 🌾🍛🥥 I love that they support local farms through their vegetarian/vegan cuisine 🌱 I highly recommend their Thai tea with coconut milk; I could guzzle down a gallon of that goodness.
Stellar service, ambiance, meals, and interior. Thank you Araya team! 🤗
Honestly I feel this place is overhyped. I love Vegan Thai food and I’ve tried it at several restaurants in the past. Food was decent, at best. So I’m not sure where all the hype is coming from.
Ordered the following:
- Tom Yum Soup: Requested them to remove mushroom and they accommodated the request.
- Panang Curry: Avarage, at best. I’ve had wayyy better panang curries in the past.
- Papaya Salad: They decorated this well. Taste was pretty decent.
You also have to drop by in person to add your name (no online or phone reservations). If you’re visiting during holidays/weekends during peak hours, expect 30-45 mins wait time.
It’s a good restaurant, but I’m really not sure where all the hype is coming from :)
Amazing food!!!
