I been coming to this restaurant almost weekly for the past 2 years. I love this place!
Just making this review to bring this to their attention
I got the Garlic fried rice here recently and the amount of burnt particles was a lot. Hope they have better cleaning hygiene after reading this
got the rice n spice fried rice, 9/10
- maybe I'm just hungry but it was sooooo good
- asked for 3/5 spice but honestly kinda spicy, unlike a lot of thai places. huge plus
- good mix of veggies, cilantro
- shredded dry pork on top of your choice of meat, I like that
- they said 15 min for pickup but they were done before I walked in at 12 min
- there's pineapple too
- portion is pretty decent
I've come here multiple times, first time trying the fried rice. This is my favorite thing I've gotten so far.
Two years later and this review stands, consistent great food, especially the phad krao pao and the roti appetizer!
Great takeout spot, consistently good food. We always get the Phad Kra Pao and the Thai Style Garlic Pepper dishes for entree and the Cream Cheese Wontons for an appetizer.
I came here on a week day for lunch. Ordering ahead is recommended but I nearby so I walked over. In all, it took just over 30 minutes for me to receive my order. I ordered the pork druken noddles and can't recommend them enough! The noodles were very flavorful the the pork and veggies were cooked/seasoned very well.
Besides getting congested around lunch (expected) my only complaint was that I was charged the dinner price instead of the lunch menu. I didn't specify at the time I ordered because I thought the lunch menu would have been the default - best to specify though.
I don’t really make Google reviews but I had to for this place because what I had to go through today was quite outrageous. Came here for lunch for the first time and it will definitely be my last. Arrived at around 12:05pm during my lunch break. I tried to call ahead to put in my order over the phone but they did not pick up. I called them six times but decided to just order once I’m there. Walked in with another group of three strangers. The three strangers ordered before me and we ordered back to back (four separate orders). The lady in the front told me and the other group that it would take 20 minutes for the food to come out. After about ten minutes the food came out for the three gentlemen and they left. I expected my food to come out but about five minutes later it wasn’t coming, so I went to ask if my order would be ready soon. The lady forgot my order and asked what my order was…I told her it was Pad see ew with chicken spice level 3. She said that it would take another 20 minutes since they had made a mistake and forgot to make my order. I was quite disappointed but I decided to just wait for the food since I already waited. Another 20 minutes passed and I got impatient as waves of people came and went. I asked again about my order and once again the kitchen/the lady in the front forgot my order again. She said it would take another 5 minutes, but it seemed like she didn’t care. No apology from anyone for their mistake, just stone faced with no emotion. At this point, I was quite upset because I ordered at the same time as the three strangers that I came in with but I was still here 40 minutes later. More people came and ordered and I just felt like the care and the service were non-existent. I came up to the front again to ask for the third time about my order that I put in about 40 minutes ago. The lady again with no care and empathy just said here it is, as it was coming out of the kitchen window. The demeanor and no care attitude of the lady just made we want to get a refund especially when they can’t even get one order right. Not only that but three times I had to go up and ask about my order and they kept on forgetting it after I paid. I got the refund and left the place very upset (left at 12:49pm). I understand that places such as restaurants can get busy but the aura of the lady in the front and miscommunication of the kitchen is just mind boggling. I haven’t experienced this ever and I guess I can consider myself lucky but this experience stood out as one of the worst I had ever had. Had to wait a little over forty minutes, wasted my lunch time, didn’t eat lunch because I lost my appetite, and had to remind the lady in the front three times about my order and if it was going to come out soon. I am sitting in the restaurant and Im literally the only one there for that long and the lady looks at me like she never seen me and keeps forgetting my order? Im never coming back here and I will be sharing my story of this place to everyone that wants to eat around the Bellevue area. Rice N Spice is a no go and Im ready to deter people from going here because I believe that what I experienced today shouldn’t be experienced by other customers as well. Avoid this place! Go to the other restaurants in Bellevue and you will get service and food like you would expect to get. Didn’t even get to taste the food because the service sucked so much, never have I had that happen to me. Hope this place goes out of business and I will be smiling through their window when they do.
This is a great Thai takeaway
I have it four stars as it’s not a place to come and eat in as There is limited and uncomfortable seating.
That said- the food is yummy and Th e prices decent. We paid 10.50$ for a lunch combo which Includes you choice of a meat dish, rice, salad, and pad Thai.
I loved the garlic chicken and vegetables! Sooo good. The little salad has delicious dressing as well. The pad Thai is good as well. We’ll be back for sure!
ordered the garlic rice with beef so good and shrimp fresh rolls and egg rolls this place was great years ago and still is

Clear online ordering via website and call services
Food was pretty good. Recommend for everybody!!!
They went out of their way to specially make a phad see ew that catered to my allergies and it was excellent!

I visited a few weeks ago, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The waitress was quite rude when I tried to customize my order. She abruptly told me to "just say vegan" and not to provide any additional details. When I explained that I was unaware of this, she repeated, "just say it." And, the food quality was subpar, and the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired.
Spicy Zion Chicken was great!
The amount of Panang curry that you get for $20 if way less than what other Thai restaurants give you. Definitely not worth the price.
Little hole in the wall Thai restaurant, Limited seating. So doing takeout would be a good option, but we grabbed a small table in the cornern and ate there. Portions were large and price was affordable. I got the Chicken Pad Thai and a side of Spring Rolls. I ordered the pad thai with a "heat level" of 3, but could easily have went with 4. It didn't really seem spicy to me, but maybe that's because I'm from Texas. Maybe that is considered spicy around here. It was tasty though. Drink options are limited to bottled water and canned soda.
Updated review: waited 40 mins for my order. Placed at 11:20. Now it’s past 12PM.
The food was Geat! Hot and fast delivery. The custoer service was exceptional
This spot don't hit for me spice levels not there and just alright food. Things I've tried only taste and aroma I get is fish sauce. This one the best thai bellevue got to offer? Dang.
Great takeout
Food is delicious 😋
Lots of vegetables in the rice. Good portion size. Staff is very friendly.
Will definitely come again.
Best Thai food in the area for the price. A little on the sweet side, for those who like that. I've eaten here dozens of times and it's almost always on point.

No value for money. Got Cashew nut chicken and brown rice. Very poor quality.
Guy was in hurry to close from 8:30pm
Avoid if you can.
FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!
been here quite a few times but only got to-go orders. decided to eat in today and we got there and the appetizers took a good 30 minutes and the entrees took an additional 20 minutes. my party and i have all worked in the food industry so we know how it is but it just ended up taking too long for us. hoping for better experiences in the future. again amazing food!!

Just making this review to bring this to their attention

I love the pork pad Thai. I got chicken last time and the chicken was not as moist as the pork, but the pork is SO so so tender. It is a good portion for the price. I think the flavors in the sauce are quite well balanced and it is very saucy, but absolutely not oily. Well toasted flavorful peanuts, a fresh lime wedge. Not sure why the carrots are there or why the scallions are in such big pieces but overall it is very yummy. Service was great and they're very fast if you dont hit the dinner rush
Also I ask for 3 ⭐ spice and they nailed it both times
Rude attitude towards customers, I don't recommend it.
My lord. The food here is 100% delicious. You get good sized portions and everything is seasoned and just amazing. I tried many things for my first visit and got 1 star spice on the dishes. It gives your throat a little tingle and it's perfect. Next time I'll do 3 stars and it'll be perfect spice for me.
Recently had the zion chicken lunch combo. Kinda felt cheated, there were chunks of lettuce hidden under the chicken to inflate the quantity. There was more lettuce than chicken in the box.
Food was tasty but all these sneaky tactics pissed me off.
The best Thai street food. My fav : Ba mee Haing, heavenly beef and yam nua.
The food is great, it's too bad the service is abysmal. Friend and I came in for lunch and it took 30 minutes after my food was done for his to be done. Completely unacceptable.
This place is impossible to find for the first time so good luck with that. Food was overpriced but absolutely incredible.
Not a lot of seating but there are a few tables inside and outside front. The food was VERY good. We will come back. Highly recommend for takeout Thai if you're in the area. We were treated very well by the staff.
So far everything I’ve had has been delicious. Friendly staff. Great place for take out. I’m not a big fan of eggplant, but I’m addicted to their spicy eggplant dish!
Went here for dinner. Very small place so not much room to dine in. Ordered Phad Thai but the guy charged me and served me Tom Kha soup. I complained to the girl and she told the guy and the guy thought I said Tom Kha; he got my Phad Thai ordered up this time but didn't refund me the difference in price. Damn!
How the hell did you get Tom Kha from Phad Thai? They don't even rhyme! The girl also misgendered me due to my voice even though I was presenting femme and she tossed my food onto the table and didn't even apologize about the mix up and all that.
Food was adequate but customer service was bad. Go to a different Thai restaurant like the one in Tukwila
The restaurant is mostly set up for to go orders. There is a few tables for dine in. There is a difference between the lunch and the lunch combo that ar offered.
Very good food but it gets crazy busy during lunch hour so call ahead if you can. The inside is very small so don't plan on eating in unless it's an off hour.
Everything was great
The sauces are top notch. This place is packed at lunch for good reason.
Hit and miss. Ordered phad thai and phad see ew, very very less tofu probably 5 small cubes in each, taste was also not consistent..not worth the money
Delicious! I ordered the drunken noodles and they were the best I have had. Quaint little space and great for a quick bite, but not fast food like. Will definitely return!

35min wait at lunch for takeout. Not suitable for lunch break during weekdays. Food was fine.
We ordered drunken noodles, and one of them came half full. We go here often and this was an unexpected ripoff. $16 for this is not worth it. Never going here again.
Quick takeout Pad Thai and fried rice.
They have great food, fast service and great employees
Wow!!! Pineapple fried rice is excellent.
Ordered Zion Chicken and after tips it's $20, more than half the box is bagged grocery store lettuce mix.
The chicken is more dry than boiled chicken breast.
Wasn't even seasoned well, it was sweeter than syrup and not crispy at all even though I ate it minutes after my purchase.
I come here for my lunch break and it can get pretty busy. Since the line can get long and there isn’t a lot of seating, I take mine to-go. But girl up front knows her gluten free knowledge and helped pick out food for my partner and I, and was nice enough to recommend plates to try next time. I normally go for the Phad Thai and fresh roll and thai tea which is always good.
Absolutely the best Crab Rangoon you will ever have. I’ve tried their fried rice, Swimming Rama, etc. and it’s all pretty typical quality Thai food for Bellevue; what makes this place a keeper is the Rangoons and now have my coworkers hooked, too!
Gotta give it up for these folks. Great taste, great portions, prompt and friendly service
‘Rice N Spice’ doesn’t include rice—let’s just call it’s ‘Spice!’
I guess you have to order rice separately when you order anything off the menu? Not cool! But now we know!
The food is always fresh
Far below average amout of seating available. Above average precautions to avoid COVID. Above average music volume. Above average parking lot volume. Above average dance hall mirrors.
It was good when it was good not consistent 😌
It is a shame that the food is great, but the lady at the counter is super rude, short hair with glasses. She better stops wearing glasses now or considers wearing hair wigs, because people start to recognize her.
When I came in to ask whether my order is ready, she responded with these: "Did I call your name?", "If I didn't call your name, then it's not ready". Lady, we don't tip for people like that.
First of all, we were waiting because the place is so small and packed with people during lunch time (we were not the only group waiting outside). Of course nobody would know if their name had been called, and people would just come in to check for their order after 20 minutes (the amount of time they were told their order would be ready)
Secondly, why in the world would you talk to customer like that? All you have to do was ask for order details and/or "Your order is not ready". We don't tip you for be treated like that. Also, keep in mind that when I came in to ask for my order status, I waited until nobody is in line to take order, it was not that I jumped into the line or interrupt anybody. I'm not that rude :)
Food is great, but that lady ruined the place. What a shame!
My go-to Thai takeout restaurant. They are very consistent with their food quality and quantity. Zion chicken is one of my favourite appetisers, which is served on a bed of lettuce. Chicken is crispy and spiced well a although sometimes when you ask for level 5, you usually get a 3.
Pad see ew is one of their popular noodle dishes, and rightly so.
They do have seating outside, but it’s mostly a takeout restaurant. There is plenty of parking nearby.
If you’re picky about your spice levels, I recommend explicitly mentioning it to them so that they make it accordingly. Because sometimes it’s not as spicy as you want it to be. - a feedback to the Rice N Spice Team as well :)
They prefer if you order on the phone or through their website as it saves them money. So try to do that, to support this local business.
My go-to place for lunch :D I always get the Phad See Ew, or sometimes the Simply Fried Rice. The portions are great, and they’re pretty fast for takeout - usually under 10 minutes. They can get a bit busy around lunch time, but they do their very best. The person working the counter is nice and helpful, too! Overall, a wonderful experience each time, and a great restaurant choice!
First time coming to Rice N Spice and I got the rice b spice fried rice cuz it rhymed lmao. I love how they play one piece on the tv which is my favorite anime. The soft jazz in the background gave the perfect chill mood. Im glad I found a new restaurant in downtown and im sure to come here on the regular!
I have been coming to this place for a few years now and their simple fried rice is out of this world. The sweetness and the saltiness is balanced and the egg in the rice just fits well with everything. I would definitely come if I have the change to.
Fantastic pad thai! Very kind staff, especially serena. An awesome place to get lunch or dinner.
Please fire that lady at the counter. Extremely rude. Just unacceptable.
Food is decent though; and cheap.
Very rude staff
I’ve been going this place for long time and food is always okay but today I had bad experience and I treated so bad. I ordered phad see ew and I picked up my order but there are eggshells all over the noodle., like small pieces., I called them right away unfortunately she heard all my concerns and put me on hold., there was no apologies or anything. Very bad customer service.
I've been going here forever and it's usually good to ok, but today my panang curry was like flavorless colored water. I didn't even want to eat it. $20 after tip WOUT rice. Not going back.
Small place in a strip mall. A few tables but not really someplace you’d want to dine unless you have few other options. Takeout is the better option.
The food is good! I always get the same thing wherever I go so I can compare and this is a place I return to time and time again.
Give it a try! I did and was happy.
Not at all nice...bad food dripping oil and bad customer service on complaining
Very unclean. Ambience is not even average. From the entrance door to the kitchen door, the floor, the lamp shade everything in here is super unclean and dirty. I wantef to terribly use the restroom but there is none.
There is no dine-in space either.
I ordered spring rolls and they were dripping oil that smelled really rancid.
I have eaten at this restaurant since 2017, their food is delicious.
Good noodle options. Pot stickers are a bit pricey though. Online ordering is convenient.
Good food, decent portions. Noodle dish👌🏾
Best Thai food in Bellevue! Been eating here for many years every item on the menu is delicious!
Selena and the rest of the rice and spice crew and wonderful. I visited regularly for years before moving and was never dissatisfied with the dishes
I was visiting from Hawaii a couple days ago, and I decided to try thai food down here and this did not disappoint! Food was dope, it came out quickly despite the lunch rush, great customer service by the lady she helped recommend me food because of my dietary restrictions.
Best Thai I've had in a long time. I wish there was a location near me. Next time I'm visiting, I'm coming back here.
Bad service from the girl at the front desk
The food here is always so delicious, and the man who works on the weeks is provides excellent customer service.
The flavor is a little bit too heavy
Great customer service and delicious food. I absolutely love the chicken pineapple fried rice the curry is absolutely delicious addition.
Was craving Thai and this little while in the wall popped up! I was glad it did! Great food…I had the Swimming Rama and fresh rolls! They were out of tofu and called to see if I wanted to substitute or refund. I went w/shrimp and it was great!
Craving Thai = order online + pick up + chow down
Worth checking out the spot!
Very good food! You get so much food, you can't eat it all in one sitting. We tried the garlic lovers (one chicken and one tofu), the pot stickers, and the Veggie spring rolls. All of it was delicious!! Bottle of water was only $1.50 which is a very good deal around here. You do have to request soy sauce if you get rice but the guys working were friendly. The restaurant was clean and felt like they took precautions seriously. Only take out but the containers kept the food hot by the time we walked back to our hotel a few blocks away in 39 degree weather.
We ordered 8 dishes last night. Portion was very small as usual but I didn't see any meat. Meat was microscopic. The yellow curry was so runny with big pieces of onion. I was looking for chicken that I ordered but it was all onions. It is not a cheap place but I think I paid for veggies and plastic containers.
Really good should DEFINITELY go there
Amazing food!
Excellent food and excellent service! Our office orders weekly from them. Today, for the first time, something was missing from the order. Rice and Spice more than made up for the inconvenience! Thank you!
I live in Renton and go out of my way for this place. Bomb.
Tastey take out
Overpriced and bland
Small business. Take out only. No frills Thai cuisine joint serving your typical Thai fare. Located in bustling Bellevue downtown. Price here is pretty decent, food is good. As with Thai food, vegetarian options are abundant. Online order available. There are a couple of seats outside. Recommend.
Ordered pineapple fried rice, green curry, cashew nut and pad Thai. Everything was fresh and delicious except for cashew nut
Ordered Cashew Nut With Chicken, Expected More Cashews. Still Tasted Phenomenal.
Do yourself a favor and go here. Order the roti, fried rice and pad Thai and you are set to enjoy your day.
There pineapple fried rice was really good!
Great curry
One of my favorite places for Thai food in Bellevue. Don't pass up their Zion Chicken or Yellow Curry
Good tasting food, but terrible customer service. The food received was completely different from the order and nothing was done to correct it. For that they receive 1 star.
I don’t really leave reviews, but I definitely read them before I go to a place. So let me tell you about this restaurant in the hopes that future potential customer won’t let this happen again. I ordered my food and the person at the front was efficient and pleasant. I got it, sat outside and ate an amazing meal! I even went back inside and ordered extra. Loved the food! But when I went back inside again to order seconds, all of the customers were totally rude. First of all, the sign on the door says to wear a mask and the plexiglass at the counter also says wear a mask. They’re not obligated to serve you, you are asking them for a service, so comply to their rules. Also, people need to stop being such entitled patrons. I know there are those who are trying to make conversation, but if they clearly don’t want to answer your irrelevant questions about their day… LEAVE THEM ALONE. The person upfront was even so courteous as to deflect my comment when I said, “You have some really entitled customers huh?” Like damn… eat your food and be nice. It is truly a wonderful meal if you can do the basics! I recommend this place a lot for those who can comply.
We catered for our office of about 20 people from Rice n' Spice and everyone LOVED their food. The delivery was about 15 minutes early which was awesome and the food was fresh, the rolls were still crispy and we will definitely be ordering from here again! Thank you to the chefs and the whole team for making our lunch a smashing success :)
From out of town, tried the drunken noodles. SOME OF THE BEST I'VE HAD. Give them a try.
Good and delicious food
Asked for 4/4 spicy and still got bland food
Drop the mask requirement . Signs all over stating that even if you are vaccinated you cant come in without a mask. Then telling customers they arent allowed back again and you are going to keep the mask rule for the rest of the year. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!
Best chicken pad thai
I like the Red Curry Chicken combo. Great spice combination!
The Fresh Rolls with shrimp are delicious and the Chicken Pad Thai is too.
Friendly staff. You should really try this place.
Seating is limited as they tend to cater more to to go orders but there are some seats inside and tables outside.
Solid Pad See Iew
So fresh, ready, & clean when we were traveling. Staff was so great in helping me with my first pho experience
This place is great! Only thing is they’re closed from 3:30-4 so don’t place an order then and expect to be able to pick it up🙁 Wish it was listed on their profile so I would have known
First of all the prices are not correct on the website so expect to pay more when you go in, and also I ordered here for the first time and they messed up my order. Its simple and they forgot the eggs in my pad see ew. Egg is part of the protein and i even tipped!! I was very disappointed and being a 3 out of 5 spice, my mouth is swollen so definently go low on the spice!
This place is amazing! I order delivery from them frequently, and they always get my order right and they use packaging that keeps the food very warm.
The food is also great! I think I've eaten at every Thai restaurant in the Greater Seattle area, and this ranks right up there with the best of them.
Tasty but nothing special
Some of the best pad thai I have had. Comparable to food which is twice as expensive. Absolutely in love with the little shop as well as it's close proximity to Downtown Park in Bellevue. Word of note, it is on the mild side so if you like spicy food, make sure to ask for extra spicy. However, if you like it more mild then it is perfect at a level 2-3. Chicken was done perfectly and just the right amount of sauce on it. All in a handy to-go container complete with (actually) nice chopsticks. Highly recommend as a casual date or if you're just looking for some high quality Thai food.
The BEST Thai fried rice of Seattle Area!
Questionable service
Very good and in a convenient location. Definitely something foe takeout as the location itself is very small. Great service with very yummy food.
My husband and I love rice and spice! We’ve been coming here for the past 2 years. I personally have been coming here for the past 4 years!
We adore their Pha Tai and Fried Rice! Would highly recommend this place for their food! Great staff that are friendly to their customers!
If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, this place is the best in WA!! It has been my favorite place. Pad see ew is super good! I could eat it all the time. The staffs are nice and friendly too.
Good pad thai
Awesome
It was okay. Not the best pad thai I've had & not the worst
Great Thai food!
I love boat noodle :) you should try with spicy level 3 !
Unfortunately I forgot to click photos of the food and the ambience of this place but a review should do. The nearby Tim Seb Thai had an hour long wait so we decided to skip that place in favor of this one. This is definitely a no frills spot and it seemed like majority of the orders were to-go. On a Saturday night it seemed fairly quiet. Do keep in mind though that there are only 6-7 tables available and we were the 2nd party sitting there. The fried rice was delicious but nothing jumped out to me. If you’re living in Bellevue, this could be the kind of Thai place you order from on Uber eats when you’re lazy to cook and you get what you expect. Nothing less, nothing more.
This place popped into our lives in my parents’ neighborhood and I will never be the same!
Zion Chicken here is the best, breaded sweet and spicy chicken that I could eat all day!
Quick To Go pick up and plenty of parking.
In the summer some outdoor seating if you decide to dine in (very casual and pop in)
If you like spicy Thai food this is not the place for you. Really good food if you don’t like your food hot. I always ask them to make it as hot as they can and it’s about a 3 star at most other places. (The name is deceiving)
Great taste for a small restaurant.
I always get the pineapple fried rice and the phad see Iew! So delicious! The black sticky rice is a nice sweet dessert too.
That phad sei iew! Is sooo delicious!
Delicious lunch fare at very reasonable ($9-12+) prices. Convenient location just north of the downtown core.
