Thai Arroy - offered traditional Thai curry, sauté noodles, noodle soups, Thai street foods, sauté vegetables, seafood and locally sourced fishes. We also offered vegetarian dishes.
Can't believe this is my 1st visit to Thai Arroy!! Such a warm & friendly work team greeting & serving some of the best Thai food in town! Mahi Fish Bite are seasoned in Thai spice
and flash fried to moist, flaky perfection. The Southern Pad Thai
Rice noodles sautéed
with Mussamun curry
paste, coconut milk,
bean sprouts, scallions, & peanuts. I had mine with Chicken & Shrimp - AMAZING! Lastly, the Three Flavored Fillet
With Mahi-Mahi as our choice over the Salmon, this was
sautéed in three flavors of sauce. You could
taste the combination
of sour, sweet and salty - WOW! 🥰
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I can't wait to return to try other offerings!
We just got back from dinner and wow, what a fantastic experience! The vibe was super cozy and made us feel right at home. Our server was friendly and really helpful, giving us great suggestions on what to order. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Each dish was not only tasty but also looked amazing. I’m already looking forward to going back for another awesome meal. Highly recommend this place!
As always, the food was oh so delicious. My wife used to go here weekly when we still lived in Virginia Beach. We live pretty far now, but when we’re close we always make sure to go here. Their drunken noodles are the best in town. Their whole flounder is so delicious and super flavorful. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, this is the place to go to.
Cute little Thai restaurant located in a tiny strip mall! We found it while searching on google for Thai spots near our hotel on the boardwalk.
Make sure you don’t try going on Tuesdays! That’s the only day they’re closed. We ended up going on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch and the place was pretty much empty except maybe one or two other customers. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive.
We got their crab Rangoon, vegetable pad Thai, Penang curry and Thai tea! My husband is a huge fan of crab Rangoon so he thoroughly enjoyed those. I wish they were a bit bigger though. The vegetable pad Thai was good, the fish sauce wasn’t too strong, which I like! The only downside was the curry, I’m used to a thicker sauce and theirs was very thin and runny. There was barely any curry for it being a curry dish, we had to ask for more but they weren’t able to make more at that point. Maybe ask for extra curry when you’re ordering if you actually want curry in your dish!
Other than that everything else tasted great! A bit pricey for the meal but they are located in a tourist area so that’s probably why their prices are high. I personally probably would not come back, I would try other Thai locations in the area. But this one wasn’t too bad!
AMAZING FOOD, great customer service
Great thai food. Highly recommended

I was never here
The lady that handled my take out order was rude and pushy. I spent 65.00 dollars. THE NERVE OF SOME PEOPLE! I shall never return.
This trip, restaurant week was going on. 3 courses $25 or $35. Wife appitizer, 5 Thai dumplings stuffed with pork, 2 sauces. Main was marinated and deep fried pork on a bed of vegetables. Rice and 2 dipping sauces. Excellent, brought some home. My appitizer was 6 chicken wings deep fried, 2 sauces, with extra heat seasoning on the table. Main pad Thai with jumbo shrimp. Very good, but a bit sweeter than I am accustomed. Deserts, coconut ice cream very good. Rice pudding, not what I expected, but good. won't order again. All in with. tax $57.00. We live in Chesapeake, so a nice drive. This place is #2 in our top 3 Thai places.
Nice restaurant but the basil fried rice and the Thai tea are all very small portions especially for the price, especially compared to other Thai restaurants nearby.

Fast service and delicious food! Nice atmosphere too
Outstanding Authentic Thai food.
Attentive server.
Decent prices.
So let me start off by saying this is a real thai tasting and people environment! YOU WILL NOT FIND BETTER! Ive been to EVERY THAI RESTAURANT AROUND THE 757! The owner is very active day by day and he doesnt just hire random workers to work, he hires authentic thai people and makes sure everyone is on top of everything! From the food to the service to the environment he makes sure eveything is tip top! I will forever come here every friday for the good tasting food, vibe, and service! They will make sure they cater to you no matter what!!! You will find occasional shows, sports, and other random events on the big screen but every night is something different for the vibe! Pleaseeeeee, choose thai arroy for your thai appetite or friendly environment with great music!!!
We go here almost every single week! The owner and his staff are so friendly and inviting, and we have never had a bad meal here. It's our favorite spot in VB and we look forward to every visit!
The food here is really good. I ordered drunken noodles off of doordash. The food was clearly freshly made and I enjoyed every bite. Also they ask for spice level and when you ask for spicy, they give it to you. Would definitely order again when im in the area.
The best of the best. Food so fresh and service was beautiful.
First time, I'll be back tomorrow.
You need to try the mango and sticky rice dessert, enough for 2.
I had the eggplant entree and the frog legs.
Everything so fresh...
Great local Thai restaurant. Service was extremely friendly, engaging and our server helped out with the menu. We had fish allergies and vegetarians and so accommodating. We ordered vegetable rolls (10/10), chicken tom yum soup (9/10), drunken noodles (11/10), green chili fried rice (9/10), red curry (10/10), fried banana and ice cream (10/10). We recently moved to VA Beach and have been having a hard time finding good Asian and this was a hit. Def hit this spot up! Sorry no photos, everyone was so hungry and the food was so good we didn’t have time to take pics.
Some of Hampton Roads/Tidewater at it's finest!!!!! If you enjoy some food from our Thai friends in the far east, come here!!!! More fresh rolls to refresh your senses from a hot day!!!! They know I love their restaurant, ( like always, we pay them up front, we're that confident, with their food!!!) An array of wonderful Thai specialties to begin or end your day with! Gotta love a great place to endulge at! Tip'em good so they stay around forever!
Happy eating!!

Loved this place. The food was authentic and delicious. The service was on point, and the waitress was tentative. She was also asking if we needed anything and helped to explain any of the dishes. The building was small from the outside, and the decor inside fit the place. Parking was outfront with extra parking in the back if needed. I will definitely be back to eat there again.
Go to for Thai food in VB!
The food is delicious and offers an authentic Thai culinary experience. Be sure to drink a Thai milk tea with it. The service staff is very friendly and dedicated.
Kind regardsfrom the German Thailand traveler. ;-)

Pad Thai was amazing!
The food was great! The service, great! Nice atmosphere! My (very pregnant) wife was very happy with the food here. Cool fish tank too
Family owned with great food, ambience and friendly staff.
Excellent food and service. My nose is running and I’m covered is sweat from the Gang Par, it was amazing. Also, some of the best Larb I’ve had. Will definitely come back.
Mid grade thai, but probably as good as it gets.
Edit to add: The issue is the expectation (5-star reviews on Grubhub) relative to realized price for the quantity of food and the flavor. Your restaurant is expensive for what is being provided. As for flavor, it wasn't balanced, everything tasted sweet and there wasn't any heat. I'm sorry, it is just average.
Amazing local spot. Very tasty food!
This place is awesome! Arrived, got seated pretty quickly, and immediately was brought water to start. I ordered the Beef See Ew and the Seafood Drunk Noodles (Kee Mao). Food came out at a perfect time and the dishes were hot and fresh blasting with lots of flavor!! It was sooo good there was nothing left on the plate! The service they provided was phenomenal and everyone was so friendly and helpful! Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants that I’ve been to and I’m a Thai food fanatic! Highly recommend this place! So yummy!!
อาหารอร่อย แต่พนักงานคนไทย ชอบพูดภาษาไืทยคำหยาบ นินทาลูกค้าและเจ้านาย คือคนไทยที่มาก็ฟังออกนะคะ 😅
The server suggested a new green tea martini - so well done. The food was also phenomenal
We had a great time dining here. The food was amazing the staff was friendly. And I loved the giant fish tank. I also thought it was very reasonably priced. The only issue I had was that my entree came before my fiancés but other than that 10/10
Yum
Favorite place. I eat here very often. Great people. Great food.
Best thai food in virginia beach!!! Everything delicious! Owner is also awesome, very friendly and approachable!!!!
I have literally no complaints. The food and service were amazing! Literally the best Thai food I've had in Hampton Roads.
Excellentmenu with many choices, friendly staff, good drink menu and food was very good with good portions.
this is my favorite Thai place in the area, absolutely zero competition. so unbelievably good and the staff is very sweet. I would come here every day if I could.
edit to add after like a month of going here religiously: my friend and I have a tradition that we try a Thai place to every new city we visit. So between 20-30 Thai restaurants and this one (so conveniently) is my favorite and so close to my neighborhood. I am such a fan I’m sure it annoys the restaurant how often I frequent lol. Definitely definitely definitely worth a visit (and I can’t emphasize that enough). I get their drunken noodles with tofu (spicy) every single time and it’s so perfect. The staff is so sweet, the atmosphere is wonderful. I’m not sure if I’m just lucky but the takeout wait times are super short. The chef works magic. I tell all my friends and Thai-cuisine lovers about this place. I’d buy merch if they had it lol.
Hidden gem.
Thai Arroy is a cozy restaurant nestled in Virginia Beach. This simple eatery offers some of the most tastiest Thai dishes I’ve ever had. And to top it off, the service was genuinely wonderful. The owner was very warm and welcoming.
My family and I came to Thai Arroy for dinner and we ordered several dishes to share family-style. Here are the dishes we ordered:
* Papaya Salad - Crisp, sour, sweet, salty, crunchy and fresh. This was a perfect appetizer and side to pair with our dishes.
* Crab Fried Rice - This was a crowd favorite with generous lumps of real crab meat. Squeeze some lime juice for a brighter flavor!
* Chicken Tom Yum (Hot Pot Lemongrass Soup) - Probably one of the best Tom Yum I’ve had and much better than the ones I’ve had in California. This flavorful soup had a generous helping of chicken and veggies and came out piping hot!
* Pad Woon Sen (Baked bean Thread Noodle) - This was a smaller portion. There is a strong ginger flavor, which I haven’t tasted at other Thai places. It’s not bad, it was just unexpected. I prefer the Pad Woon Sen from President Thai in SoCal.
* Chicken Wings - Flavorful and garlicky.
* Thai E Sarn Sausage - Wow! I loved the bold flavor of this sausage. This was a hit with our table.
* Thai Pork Belly - Really good pork belly. It had a good balance of crunchy skin and tender meat, with just enough fat to give great flavor. It came with sauce and a cup of rice.
* Roasted Garlic Whole Fish - The best dish of the night! We ordered the XL size and it was so worth every penny. First off, the presentation was unlike anything I’ve seen. They used the skeletal bones (the vertebrae) along with the head to be used as a platter to hold up the tender and crispy pieces of fish. It was garnished with fragrant cilantro and crunchy cucumber. The lime sauce over the fried fish was delicious! Loved how light the batter was because you can still taste fish. I would order this again!
* Mango and Sticky Rice - A perfect way to end our dinner. We ordered a couple of these to share between our table. So so good!
Our family enjoyed one of our last nights in VA at Thai Arroy, which translates to “Delicious Thai [Food]” and, indeed, it was arroy mak mak (very, very delicious). I will be back the next time I’m in Virginia Beach.
We love Thai Arroyo !!
People there are always so cool, and helpful so if you have a question, fire away! It's a must go place to eat you won't be disappointed I promise.,!
First time here. Loved it! Food was awesome. Service was superb. Will for sure go here again. Looking forward to trying the papaya salad. Crab ragoon rocked!
Everything we ate,was exquisite.
Muy bueno
First time trying this place. The good: I ordered salmon curry, and the chunk of salmon in the dish was very generous. The not so good: salmon was overcooked, not enough curry sauce, and taste a little on the bland side. Also ordered calamari, which was overpriced for such a small portion, and mediocre flavor.
I have lived in Virginia Beach my whole life and always wondered about this place. My sister introduced me to it, and I'm glad she did. It is a rare and unique gem that appears nondescript from the outside, but once you enter, you wish you had discovered it earlier. The atmosphere is calming and quiet, the employees are friendly, and the food is delicious Thai cuisine. I could sit in this place for hours. A beautiful, quiet retreat of a restaurant.
The best Thai food in Virginia Beach!
I went here once like 4 months ago and it’s been my favorite spot since. Everything I’ve tried is delicious. The curries are my favorite. The staff is fantastic and service is fast and efficient.
Impressed by the food and service at this place. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled. Easily the most delicious Thai food I've had in the area.
Plenty of seating inside, friendly staff, and a huge menu with everything you could want - boba, curry, pad Thai, sticky rice, dessert, apps, etc.
Noms!
We tried the Red Curry, Mr. Greens, Thai Tea, Green Tea, Thai Dumplings and Crab Rangoons on this first visit. My curry was SO good and their sticky rice was off the chain.
Hubs Mr. Greens was healthy, light, and lightly dressed without too much sauce, delicious!
We'll totally come back often.
Food service and atmosphere consistently great. My favorite Thai.

I really enjoyed the food and service here! The folks working here were really friendly and efficient. I was visiting the area from out of state yet I would definitely go back here for the food!
Amazing service! Excellent food! The Southern Pad Thai and Ginger Pad Thai are absolutely fantastic. A must-try restaurant
Clean, food was great and staff were very sweet. Have been back multiple times now.
한국식 입맛에 맞게 요리 된듯 맛있었음.
Honestly, it's the best Thai in town! Had a specially made dish that is eaten by locals. Can't get over how good it was
They claimed some kind of roll to be a spring roll. I know what a spring roll is, please don’t sell me some kind of a soft vegetable roll as spring roll. Spring roll is crispy and deep fried. Also portion size of appetizers were tiny. Two puffs in an appetizer plate, really! Curry were watered down as well.
Food quantity and quality was way below average. The price was not worth it for the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered calamari and it seemed like it was not fresh but more likely, it was bought from any wholesalers like Costco or restaurant depot. Shrimp roll was another example of it.
Wow! The Thai food here is great! We were traveling, & it's way better that anything near home. If you're looking for a good meal, this is worth the short drive from the beach.
Great food, great service, nice atmosphere, very clean. Ribs and red curry were excellent.
Excellent food and very polite service. Highly recommend if you are in Virginia Beach!!
The staff is super nice def do recommend 👌🏽
This is the second time ive gotten food here in the last few months. The first time we sat down and ate. Service sucked and the food was ok, but not great and felt overpriced. This time we did carryout. I went with my son. We went to look at menu and order there. Three entrees and a couple happy hour drinks and the ticket was $95. The food was worse than when we went a few months prior. For $100 i could've gone elsewhere with better food and ambiance and sat down and ate. The restaurant is dated, dark, and stuffy. Service isnt great. In fact, when the food was brought to me, a whole entree was missing and she tried to argue that it wasn't until I pushed and then she realized she left a whole bag in the back. How she thought that little bag was worth what she charged is beyond me. And argued about it. And while i love thai food, this place isnt it. It used to be and it's very close to my house but i will take the extra drive time to go to Tida Thai from now on. Biggest waste of money, the kid hated the noodle soup didnt even eat it. The thom kha was bland. My other kid picked at the garlic pepper and beef. My ginger and beef was nothing great and those had to be the tiniest rice containers ive ever seen. And rice is cheap 🤦🏽♀️. Will not be going back again. I can think of much better ways to spend $100.
It was a Okay.
They have Karaoke’s each Saturday Night!
Coconut soup was good but hoped to be a bit more thicker.
Pad Thai was very good. Crab Rangoon portion wise could have add more in pieces.
Should add more chicken in crispy rolls.
Diner in and ordered this place a few times and it’s delicious! They have a great beer selection and the serving sizes are large and delicious. I’ve tried many soups and chicken dishes and various spice levels and have yet to find something I haven’t enjoyed. The staff is always attentive and helpful and the food comes out hot and perfect! Great location for pickup or dining in
The food and customer service was excellent!!!!!
Super yummy food, incredibly sweet staff. Great experience.
I love this place! Delicious food and wonderful employees! 😊
I don’t write reviews unless something is truly worth mentioning, and Thai Arroy (Virginia Beach) is a place that really deserves mentioning.
1) The food is simply spectacular! My family ate here for dinner, it was so good we came back for lunch as we were on our return trip home! My family being a mix between caucasian and southeast asian, we were thoroughly pleased. Especially my mother-in-law who has quite the discerning taste for southeast asian food, truly loved their food. We had their whole fish, ginger mahi mahi, crispy duck, pad thai, pad see ew, and several other dishes. Including some beverages such as their Thai Iced Coffee, which was one of my personal favorites (remember to mix it).
2) The staff was polite, cheerful, and genuinely cared about how we were doing. The atmosphere they created and how they treated us was as if we were long time family friends coming to visit them. It’s hard to put into words but it is a warm “at home” feeling. Also, at no point did we ever feel pressured or rushed to finish our food or to continue ordering desserts. Did I also mention kid friendly?
3) The place is also extremely clean, surprisingly clean! From floor to ceiling, cups to utensils, and bathroom to the fish tank, everything is just remarkably spotless, I have no clue how they do it!!!
In summary, my family wholeheartedly enjoyed the entirety of Thai Arroy. It would be a huge loss if you are visiting the area, to not try it at least once. It is as other reviewers mentioned, a hidden gem, one that I wish was much closer to where we live!
At first glance, the restaurant is not noticeable,
But "When I entered, the inside was rather clean, and there were many Thai ornaments, so it had an atmosphere."
I ordered chang Rai, Green curry, and vegetable roll as an appatizer.
The price is not that cheap,
But The taste was great ☺️!
I wanna go again !
The food was great and menu had a good amount of options. Service was nice too.
Best Thai I've ever had. Homemade recipes. Family restaurant.
Delicious! Highly recommend the pa nang curry.
I love the fried flounder with chili sauce
EXCELLENT ALL-ROUND!
The Staff was extremely friendly and the food was DELICIOUS 😋
Don't let the outside fool you. This is a great place for Thai food. It isn't the bland Thai you get at a lot of places around VB, this is very flavorful and authentic Thai food. Also the quality of the ingredients is very high, no fat chunks in the meat, and the vegetables taste like vegetables. IT doesn't look like much on the outside, and I've passed it several times because of that, but gave it a try today and was impressed enough to write a review.
The food here is great! Stars indicate spice level on the menu. The first time I went with my 3 brothers, our waitress gave each of us flowers to take back to our mother. Very nice place with a nice staff!
Ordered panamg curry through the delivery app and was so disappointed. Panang curry costs like 20.00 for a tiny portion worth like 8 dollars. Calamari was chewy and disgusting. Won't eat here again.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. Food is fresh and delicious!! Would DEFINITELY recommend coming here when staying in Virginia Beach
Really good service.
Great fast service and friendly employees.
Can't get enough of that duck. Delicious.
Best Thai food in VA Beach!
This place is so underrated! Their Thai food is the best! I've come back to this restaurant so many times and every time I try different dishes, all tastes so good! I recommend their sweet sour fried fish of the day, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, duck dish, tom yum.
My favorite spot in all of Virginia Beach! Any friend who visits, I always take them to Thai Aaroy. Their staff is a delight! Shout out to Nok!!! Their service is fast and great and the environment is nice. I bring friends, but oftentimes bring a book and just relax over my meal. The papaya salad is delicious, my regular is cashew nut or panag curry! If you haven't been, you must try it out! There hasn't been a dish I have tried, that I didn't love!
Lovey environment, lovely family, delicious food!!!!
Good experience all around.
Over-priced
Open later than posted, food not cooked, way way over priced, will not go back.
Thai Arroy is located on N. Birdneck Rd. It is just south of the intersection with Virginia Beach Blvd. (Route 58). There is a Liberty Tax Service and a laundry place in that same strip, so hopefully this helps you find it easier. If heading north on N Birdneck Rd., it will be located on the right side of the road. My visit here was on January 21, 2023.
I've heard of Thai Arroy and have passed the place several times over the years, but never made it into this place until now. What brought me in to try them? 2023 Virginia Beach Restaurant Week. I always try to visit places during this event that I haven't visited before or don't visit too often.
You can see the green signage for this place, so that was a help in ultimately finding the right spot to turn into the place. There was ample parking in the front when I was there, but in busier times, they do have additional parking in the back of the place. When you first come in, it definitely looks to have a Thai theme to it. There is also a bar area to the left when entering as well. We did wait a few moments for someone to come up to be seated, but I do think it's due to low staffing that many of these types of places are having at this time. With the decorations and such inside, it definitely Thai's this place together well.
After getting seated, a few moments later a server came to the table to ask what we wanted to drink. Both my mom and I did ginger ale. After bringing the drinks, she asked if we were ready, but we weren't quite ready yet since the Restaurant Week Menu did have a good amount of options. When she came back, she told us a different server would be taking care of us as her work day was done. The new server came over quickly and asked us if we had any questions, which we did not and we were ready to order at that point too. With the restaurant week menu, it is a fixed cost menu including an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. For the appetizer, I originally said I was going to do the Crispy Rolls. I have a mushroom allergy, and she said that mushrooms are in that, so I did the Crab Rangoon instead as the appetizer. For the entrée, I went with the Sautee Basil with Shrimp and for dessert I went with the Coconut Ice Cream. For the three course dinner, my mom went with the Vegetable Rolls for the appetizer, Pad Thai with Shrimp for the entrée, and a Fried Banana for dessert.
A few minutes after ordering, our appetizers came to the table. They were both hot, so we did wait a few moments to try them out. The Crab Rangoon were really good. I liked that they weren't hard either when eating them and the sauce that came with them complemented the appetizer well. They had good flavor too. My mom enjoyed the vegetable rolls that she got for her appetizer. Shortly after we finished the appetizers, our entrées came to the table. Just like the appetizers, the food looked really good, but it was definitely hot, so we had to wait a few moments to dig in. Once we did, it was really good. The Sautee Basil with shrimp was really good. I loved the flavors in it and the kick that it gave too. The kick wasn't spicy hot, but was just right for me. The portion size is bigger than what the photos show. My mom liked the Pad Thai with Shrimp too. The Pad Thai is with noodles. Both entrées were really good. The final course of the meal was dessert. Shortly after finishing our entrées, our server came over with the desserts that we ordered in the beginning. The Coconut Ice Cream looked really good. It didn't take long for me to start on it. It was delicious. You could definitely taste the coconut in there. My mom liked the fried bananas too, but it was a little hard for her.
Overall, this was a very good visit. I haven't had any Thai food in several years. The food and service were good. They were able to Thai everything together nicely when it comes to the décor and food. If you are in the area and looking for some food to Thai out your meal, this place is worth checking out.
Like an honest review? Follow me
We arrived right at opening time. They were friendly and seated us immediately. The menus were clean and the restaurant is pretty. English is a second language for our waitress, but she did a fairly good job at answering my questions.
Food came out pretty quick and is fresh. A bit disappointed that I had to ask for a grain (rice is an addition.), but the option is there.
I ordered mixed vegetables with chicken and rice noodles. My vegetables are fresh, and cooked, but still crisp (A+). I didn't eat all my chicken as some of it was grisly/really fatty. But, that didn't take away much from the meal. My boyfriend got red curry which he said was good.
All in all, a delicious meal. 🙂
First time. Resteraunt Week. I love Thai food! Portions smaller because of restaurant week. Most places don't shrink portions. Fried appitizer, crab Rangoon.. Typical! Crispy shrimp very good. Crispy spring roll a bit oily. Thai sweet chili sauce watered down, but good. Yellow curry with shrimp fantastic. Bar, surprising that they use a single large cube (nice) instead of crushed. Will return when in the area. l
Enjoying VB resturant week at Thai Arroy with some family. Opened at 5p. Greeted with warm, smiling faces. Not crowded. Clean seating area. Ordered three course meal. Appetizer: veggie spring rolls; Dinner: Chicken Thai Pai; Desert: fried banana. Enjoyed every bite. Dinner plates were full. Some to go boxes were needed. If you are sensitive to hot spices, inquires will prevent surprises. Thai lemonade and coconut ice cream were also delicious. Great service, personable staff. An Extortion 17 plaque hangs on the wall. This resturant honors our fallen heroes. I do too.
First time, last time. Hostess was so rude. No... thank you. Immediately got on phone while I was checking out. Pathetic
Wonderful food and delightful service
Bought Pad Thai, Ginger Pad Thai, Pad see ew. Chicken was dry. Otherwise food was great! We will go back if we're in the area. Very friendly and fast service.
Loved the staff, super helpful and never tried to sell us more than what we needed! The food, drinks and dessert were so flavorful!! I ordered: chicken pad thai, lemonade (with sparkling water), chicken dumplings, chicken satay. Plus, a coconut bubba tea (to go) and one of my favorite desserts: mango sticky rice. Yum!!!
Their staff and food are second to none. I highly recommend their duck.
Certainly no lunch menu although lunch portion. So disappointed.
I had basil tofu entree and a cup of tea for lunch and it was $28. I never finish a full plate but it was so small and mostly carrots and bland aside from the basil flavor. Probably why only 1 other table at lunch. Server was very nice.
The food and service were good. They do not have a lot of options for vegans so take care to ask about egg and fish sauce ingredients that can be hiding in vegetarian items. My friend asked for the pad Thai without egg and they brought it with egg in it. I ordered the massuman curry and it was really good. My husband asked for pad thai no egg add tofu and that arrived correctly and was delicious. I was able to get a nondairy ice cream but I think it arrived with honey on it that wasn't listed as an ingredient on the menu. I also thought the prices were high.
Tbh the food was good (note not amazing just good), but to spend 89 dollars on rice and 2 sweet and sour chickens. I just don't understand where and why I paid so much for not that much I knew it was gonna be a bit since they didn't say price over phone but I would never expect such a small bag to cost so much I can't ever see myself coming back for anything when I can feed a whole group somewhere for cheaper, more, and better.
The food was amazing, atmosphere was great and staff was friendly. I did have to wait to be seated for about 8 mins before I went to get somebody in order to be seated. I went lunch time on Wednesday.
Awesome food and awesome service. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend it to everyone. The Duck with Basil sauce is a MUST try!
Amazing as always!
Thai Arroy lives up to the name, Thai “delicious”. The food is fresh, high quality, and very flavorful. The staff is always kind and make good recommendations when I can’t decide what to try next. Must try Thai Arroy when at the oceanfront!
Very nice, authentic staff. Delicious food. I enjoy their WiFi.
Overpriced. Took way too long to get our food and it wasn’t very good at all. Also, for some reason I was charged 11.5% “sales tax”… since when is sales tax 11.5%? Not going back.
Great service and very nice team
Very good! Loved the red curry stew with chicken & shrimp. They apparently have a location in Fells Point Baltimore. I'll have to check that out also!
Great food and great service. 1st time here but I will be back every time I visit the area.
This place is awful.
Wonderful service. Never had Thai food before so this was a new experience for me. I absolutely loved it!! Can't wait to go back.
I loved it. I have been to every Thai restaurant in the area over many decades and this place is hands down the best place for traditional Thai dishes. Just superb and delicious. Big portions too except rice, but they have it where it counts. Very nice staff and servers. Highly recommended.
The food was fresh and tasty. And the staff was attentive, accommodating, and helpful.
First time eating here. We were to be a big group they were willing to accommodate. As it turned out only half that normally come did show up. Two were last minute to have to go out of town, Others did not explain why they weren't coming. The staff was very gracious and accommodating. I had the fried rice w/cashews and pineapple and pork which was very good, also had the crab rangoon appetizer which was nice, I had never had that before. All in all, the service was good, food was worth a second trip, though it is a bit of a drive from my normal haunts.
We ordered 4 dishes
Dry curry - chicken
Garlic pepper - chicken
Basil - tofu
Ginger pad Thai - tofu
There is no pleasant way to write this, but both chicken dishes smelled like poo. It was so similar we were unable to eat them and just ended up ordering another pad thai. To their credit, they did take the 2 chicken dishes off our bill which was nice, but the rest of the service wasn't that good. You would have to keep trying to flag their attention for anything. And notably, the two tofu dishes were somewhat tasteless.
Food overall pretty good, however every dish we ordered had carrots for some reason, and the carrots didn’t taste good in any of the dishes. I felt like throwing up because of the carrots, but other than that, would recommend this restaurant if you are at VA beach.
GREAT FOOD,GREAT SERVICE!!!!
My husband has spent several months in Thailand and Thai food is his absolute favorite. We moved to the area recently and have tried several local Thai restaurants but this place is by far our favorite. It’s a bit more expensive than some others but the large portion size definitely makes up for it. We’ve tried at least 9 different dishes and there was only one I didn’t absolutely love. They are very accommodating if you’re sensitive to spice. Ample parking, lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff! My husband likes it so much he always orders a meal to go that we can share again later. 😆
First time eating here and I will definitely be back… VERY soon. The place is clean, the service is fast, they are extremely friendly, and the food is soooo sooo good. We ordered the satay, crispy roles, beef drunken noodles, and Tom Yum Noodles (pictured) and they were all excellent. Haven’t had Thai food this good in years!
Amazing find! Fantastic food and service was great!
We went to this restaurant looking high review ratings. This is the worst Thai restaurant we have ever visited. We ordered Thai Red curry and lemon grass soup and they charged $37. This restaurant is super expensive compared to any other Thai restaurant of this scale. The food quality and taste is below average.
Food was good but potions were very small for the high price. We had to buy the rice separately, which ok whatever, rice is cheap. $1.50 for 1/2 cup of rice! I will not buy from here again.
Laura thoroughly enjoyed the spring rolls (5 stars). My entree, green veggie curry, was WAAAY too sweet; they dumped a tablespoon of sugar onto an otherwise perfectly cooked dish (3 stars). Overall, I offer 4 stars.
CAUTION:
Online menu prices have all increased by $3. Some of their in-store menu items too. Check your tab!!
Great food and staff!
the food is always delicious! best satay chicken around and the service is always very nice. we love the quiet atmosphere of the place. my only complaints would be the extra charges for rice but even that isn’t a deal breaker for us. and this time the green tea wasn’t brewed very strong and tasted like water. otherwise still very nice and would eat there again. also super delicious thai tea! it’s not too sweet and is very refreshing.
Food is always delicious and the servers are so attentive and friendly. One of my favorite places in VB!
Wow the Thai tea is the best here!
This was our 1st visit and will NOT be our last. Clean place. Friendly staff. Flavorful food. Thanks!!@@
The secret spot. Legitimately.
Super delicious
It was a very relaxing and great place to eat at. The staff was great and the service was excellent. The food was also good.
