Beautiful, authentic food! It was pretty late so my family and I were going to order to go, but decided to dine-in since we were hungry and no one else was there. The service and atmosphere were awesome and food even better. In our time there, many people came in to pick up their to-go orders (could’ve been us too) but they missed out on a lovely experience dining in. We’re new to the area, but will definitely be back again!

This is the best Thai food I have ever tasted. I got the beef Red Curry and my husband got the salmon Red Curry. It was amazing from the price, portion size, service, and the atmosphere. When we come back to visit VA beach, this will be our new go to spot for dinner. ❤️🥰

Lunch today at Bangkok Garden with my brother. Not crowded (about 1:00pm Thursday), seated immediately, no wait, chose my own seating. Staff was very friendly and professional. Ordered som tom Bangkok style, red curry with vegetables and tofu, and spicy eggplant. Lunch included a small salad with a tasty crispy spring roll. The Som Tom was one of the best I have tasted outside of Thailand. Very fragrant and flavorful, delicious. The red curry was also full of crispy veggies and a great fragrant flavor, also delicious. The spicy eggplant was one of best I have tasted. Specifically, the chef got a perfect char on the eggplant which really made the flavors pop and the eggplant soft. Absolutely delicious. I will return to try more flavors at Bangkok Garden while in Virginia Beach.

What a great Thai food experience! I was never one for chain restaurants, but Bangkok Garden exceeded expectations. Wonderful, amazing staff who were attentive and friendly. Nice restaurant atmosphere with plenty of seating. Food, everything was great! Tom Yum Talay is some of the best I've had. Pad Thai was a great portion and was good. Green Curry Chicken was very rich tasting and was also an amazing dish. Thai Tea was an enormous portion and was delicious. I would say this isn't the cheapest Thai restaurant I've been to, but I think the quality matches the price. Thank you Bangkok Garden!

Had a great meal at Bangkok Garden during a conference at Virginia Beach. I love the the flavors of Thai cuisine and this did not disappoint. I had Pad Kee Mao, which to me was similar to Drunken Noodles at other Thai restaurants, and my wife is a duck junkie so had the Roasted Duck with Chili Sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao but the hot was not hot enough for my liking so if I go again, I'll try the Thai hot. The Roasted Duck with Chili Sauce was fantastic. The duck was super crispy and not loaded with bones. The chili sauce was from sweet chili so a little heat but mostly sweet...great combo with duck. It was a pleasant atmosphere and only a couple tables with patrons so a very relaxing meal with great service.

Bangkok Gardens are everywhere in VA. This is the 3rd one I have tried. Their sauces are similar to the others. But their plates look old, not sure if we were in the place for pick-up foods only.

Cute restaurant, good service, bad chicken. The chicken breast in the steamed spring rolls was so tough, dry and flavorless it made them genuinely inedible. It was like dirty leather, I swear. The chicken in the laab salad was a little better if only because it was chopped up into tiny pieces and soaked in vinegar, fish sauce, etc. but it was still not tender or flavorful in itself, and I didn’t care for the laab salad dressing compared to other restaurants or when I make it at home. The roasted rice powder may have been handmade, which is great, but they needed to make sure to grind it completely as I would often bite into something hard that I thought was chicken cartilage at first but decided was rice grains that had been left too large.

The lettuce was fresh and crispy and the service and atmosphere was nice, but I didn’t finish either dish.

I didn't know this location was here - I only knew about the one on Virginia Beach Blvd.

Had lunch here with a friend when it was middle of the week and not at all busy. Service was pretty good but not excellent.

Thai tea was great and I had the pumpkin curry. A little spicy but really delicious.

The food is typically very good. Some lack of consistency at times. Standard price range for these restaurants right now. Masman Curry is always flavorful and served hot, however vegetables and protein are not always thoroughly cooked. Some dishes, like the Masman Curry could use more vegetables considering the amount of curry provided. I've been a customer for more than 15 years.

My chopsticks were moldy, half of my spring rolls the chicken inside was burnt and inedible and when my entree came out there were SEVERAL hairs in it. Barely an apology and still made me pay for my drink and half of my spring rolls. I’m pregnant and this was ridiculous, worst service I’ve ever experienced. Do not eat here.

I wish I had found this place sooner. I love Thai food. I had the Pumpkin Curry Special and it was epic. Atmosphere is quiet with dark wood paneling throughout...very peaceful which is a nice find these days. The staff is kind, soft spoken and polite. If I was going to stay in the area, I would make Bangkok Garden a regular stop. Definitely go check it out.

Yummy! Pad Thai and Pad Khing was very good. Chicken satay was a bit dry but still edible. I'd return.

Tom Yum soup and Pad Kee Mao was fantastic. Fresh and flavorful with the perfect amount of spiciness. We will be back!

I don't live in Virginia Beach (opposite end of the state) but have been here twice when I've visited. Delicious food. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Try the Pad Kapau and the Kai Tom Kha as a starter.

The stir fry chicken dish was the waitresss recommendation for a Togo order and it was spot in!!

Pad Kee Mao was a little over sauced and not spicey or interesting enough for my liking — but still ok. The togo stir fry chicken order was amazing ! I’m not sure what it was but I will be ordering again if return.

UPDATE: They like to steal! The waiter added an extra charge to my bill, had to call the bank and dispute the fraudulent charge. Looking at the other reviews this is not the first time they have done this. I would suggest that if this happens to you, file a complaint with the proper authorities. ~Waiter came to my table and asked if I was finished, I told him I was still eating...1 minute later the water guy came and took my plate, I was not finished, very rude! The food was okay, a bit bland and overpriced.

Food came out lukewarm and awfully strange .. try the other Thai places in the area and they all give you fresh ,savory meat with an abundance of it as well. Look at the beef if you do eat beef as a protein of choice; I have never seen such a stranger meat in my entire life. It's very weird. And to make things worse,they overcharged my card after the fact that I already paid the total amount ,meaning they took it upon themselves to try and take more via tip. Don't eat here!!they serve low quality food at all their locations and charge an arm and a leg! I would recommend Kao Thai as choice for great Thai cuisine at an affordable price!

Vegetables taste like soap and the rice taste fake. Don't like this spot.

The garlic vegetable plate was delicious. They will add peanuts to dishes that aren't already made with them. Eggplant in the dish was way overcooked like it was added to the wok too soon though. Very accommodating to a group.

This is my all time favorite place when it comes to Thai Food. They also have the best Thai tea. My go to here, well there’s a few you can try and you won’t be disappointed…. Chicken Larb, house fried rice, pad Thai and the pumpkin curry/add chicken. Everything is amazing but these are a must try. The service here is outstanding and you will no be waiting for long after you order your meal. The prices are spot on but If you want to take advantage of some really good deals, go during lunch and get the same excellent food as a lunch special. It will also come with a house salad and a fried spring roll. You definitely can’t beat that!!!

The food was okay it took awhile to come out. The appitzers were a little crisp. Had to ask for water refill even left a tip but this tip is free treat all you customers with the same care.

Have eaten here a million times but tonight something went really wrong. My wife called in our order and they repeated it back to her perfectly. When we came to pick it up they gave us the bag with her name but when we got home one of the meals was way off. Pad ka na was replaced by kee mao_d per the receipt. Also I usually get 2 stars to 3 stars and have no issues with it. Today I requested 2 as I was feeling not as spicy. What I got was the spices dish I've ever received from them I got through 4 bites before having to run to the bathroom to literally run cold water over my tongue and mouth to dull the pain. Very disappointed in what was my favorite Thai place.

The crab fried rice was seasoned to perfection. The crab was plentiful! I appreciated the dish was executed well. I will no longer patronage the Ghent or Loehmanns plaza locations!!

I ordered the garlic vegetables “no oyster sauce” and they gladly assured me it would be made without fish or oyster sauce.
Nice staff. A cozy restaurant with a comfortable décor. Ample seating. Portions seemed small for $14. I asked for spicy and it was moderately spicy. I got it to go and it only took about 10 minutes.

Honestly, some of the best Panang Curry I've had. So Richland coconut-y with great flavor and perfect amount of spice. I could drink the curry, seriously so good! I came for lunch and was delighted to see that lunch includes a small salad and fried roll. I ordered the Tom Kha Gai soup and it was also delicious! I certainly did not need that much food, or eat even half for lunch, but I cannot wait to enjoy my left overs for lunch tomorrow. Definitely recommend. Clean restaurant and friendly service to top it off.

The staff is always friendly and extremely polite. The food is absolutely outstanding and they will turn up the “heat” on any dish you them to. Lunch comes with a small salad and roll, is ready fast, and fairly priced for lunch.

My friend recommended this restaurant after I said that I can't find authentic food like in Thailand. I lived in Thailand for 6 months.

There are at least 3 locations in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Awesome place to order any curry or Pad Thai plate. It doesn't matter which one you chose, you will get the right one! The only con that I would say is that spicy really depends of who make the meal, sometimes is really spicy sometimes it should be spicy but is neither mild. Anyway is always in my top list, if you haven't been yet, try it

Food was good, and service was quick. Went around Lunch, wasn't very busy. The Lunch menu was extensive, I'm sure you'll find something to your liking! Try the Jasmine Rice Combination platter.

Waitstaff took a while to take my order, very clean. My food wasnt as good though vegetarian spring rolls are delicious.

Love Bangkok Garden, love the food at the Ghent and Town Center location...however, literally every time I order food from the hilltop location it’s is not cooked the same as the other two. Instead, I get food that is too greasy, over cooked and does not taste anywhere near the food from the other locations. This is a huge disappointment because I love the food from the other locations and often call for carry out since I work on Oceana. So is they get this quality control issue squared away I’ll add more stars however, I have placed this order multiple times hoping it has been fixed and it has not at all, total disappointment every time.

Bangkok Garden is a local chain run by an experienced Thai couple. Their success has been evidenced by their expansion to several locations, and to this day they are the standard in Thai Cuisine for this area. I've been there about 50 times and have absolutely no complaints.

Food here was not great for the price you paid. Also customer service. The padthai tasted so much sugar in it. Server name Jun charged our bill with 18 % automatic tip for 4 people. I asked him why he did that , he said with 5 people automatic 18% tips. The tipping standard is 6 people eating and the option of 10%, 15%, & 20% and if the server gave a good service which is not. I told him only 4 of us were eating. He took advantage of us while were enjoying talking and goodthing that I checked the bill. Customers should pay attention to the bill. They didnt even refill our water. I will never ever come back to this place.

Great food and service. My friend and I got there at 930 pm and they closed at 1030. They still gave us excellent service and the food was wonderfully cooked. They had to stay a few extra minutes to clean up after us and they did their jobs with a smile and professionalism.

Lived in VA Beach for 5 years now. Tried lots of other Thai places, this is the best imo.

The food is very bland compared to other Thai places around town and not worth the money. And almost every time I order from this establishment they get my order wrong. I usually just deal with it rather than having my husband drive back there and get the order right. The only reason we kept ordering from here is because it is closer than any other Thai restaurant and convenient. Tonight they did it AGAIN and this time my husband ran back to the restaurant to get the dish we ordered. The lady argued with me that she was right in giving us a dish with white rice even though my husband asked for fried rice so we had to pay for it because she argued that she was right and I was wrong. So back home he ran with our second meal for me and they omitted the chicken and shrimp from the second dish. So they gave me food with no meat on it and the way it was packaged all pretty... someone knew that dish left the kitchen with no meat! So I feel like it was done on purpose. I called back after the second mistake and she told me that they did in fact forget the shrimp and chicken on the dish but they would give me a refund NEXT time I came in. Yeah right! HORRIBLE customer service! I will NEVER order from here again. WORST customer service I have ever experienced at a restaurant.

Our party of 10 tourists (including 6 kids to teens) enjoyed a wonderful vegetarian meal (the restaurant serves typical Thai meat dishes, but that's not us). Not only was the food good, both fresh and as leftovers later in the week, but the complimentary salad made the meal extra nice. The restaurant wasn't that crowded, but the service was good.

I used to work next door at Borders and would go here quite often. I've had nothing but good experiences here. The interior is beautiful, and the waiters/waitresses are always so nice and smiling. Lunch specials are amazing. Food portions are pretty decent. Yes the Thai food is semi-Americanized but it's Virginia Beach.
