The noodles were very soggy and the sauce on it was off. Leaving review because although I stated something was off in the dish and that I did not like it. I sampled a noodle and instantly couldn’t finish it. Owner stated that she felt it was normal like as if she was eating it. I was still forced to pay for the dish with a $3 deduction off. I have been going here over 2 years so was not trying to get anything free for I always enjoyed the food up until today. I’m heavy on customer service she did not offer to recook it. I ordered basil fried rice instead and it was up to satisfaction. I will not be back since this experience was a distasteful one for me on the taste and still having to paying for it.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing, I felt as if I was at a friend's house for dinner rather than a business. The woman tending the front was also extremely kind, and reminded me of a really nice mother who always kept your thoughts and concerns in mind. The food itself was also spectacular; the Chicken Pad Thai I got was greater quantity and cheaper than other Thai restaurants in Newport News.

LOVE the tiger noodles and pad kee mow. They don't break apart like other places. I think they have tapioca flour in them to give them the delicious texture. Service was good. Portions are ok, not large, price reasonable. No frills kind of place in terms of atmosphere.

Delicious takeout and very reasonably priced! Picked some up while driving through the area and even when we got home two hours later it was amazing! We got drunken noodles and curry. The staff were very sweet and had our order waiting. Will definitely be coming here the next time we are in the area!

My family dined here after reading some other reviews and decided to take a chance. We were so delighted that we gave Tiger Thai a chance. The waitress who I believe may have been one of the owners was very friendly and accommodating. We had a 3 year old and she played with him and ensured he was happy. Our food was hot and fresh. I have tried many Thai restaurants in the area, but Tiger Thai is truly a gem. My daughter had the wonton soup and the shrimp rolls. She loved them! My mother had the pineapple fried rice and the portion was very large. It was seasoned perfectly and had a lot of chicken and shrimp. My sister had a ginger stir fry dish with shrimp and that was also fresh and delicious. The shrimp were a nice size and there were a rainbow of vegetables. I had the pineapple curry dish with chicken and was happy that fresh pineapple was used. The curry was smooth and rich with just enough spice. I can’t wait until I get a chance to return to try more items on the menu.

After a recent trip to Thailand, I was in search of comparable food in this area. The first couple of visits Tiger Thai did not disappoint.

I’m a big fan of adding the fish sauce with peppers to my meal. However, I did not expect the bugs found in both containers of my order today. Very disgusted! Photos attached.

I was really hungry and had some good luck in this strip mall with two other places and decided to give Tiger Thai a try because it had good reviews. The lady at the front was really sweet and answered my questions of indecision of what to order. It didn’t take super long for my food to be ready either. When I got back to my desk I was pleasantly surprised. The food tasted like it was made from scratch and not like “every other Thai restaurant”. I would definitely go back here again. This is probably the best Thai food I’ve ever had (I have had a lot of Thai food in my day). The portion sizes and prices were appropriate too and didn’t break my bank. I hope my coworkers are jealous 😈 Mmmmmmmmmm 😎

New to the area and decided to check this place out. Absolutely terrible. The ingredients, meat, vegetables, and even rice were obviously the lowest grade/quality the management could purchase. Overly salted with excessive oils. Even the white rice was bad. Chicken tasted old, the pork was likely the lowest quality available, and their sauces were watered down. Paid over $80 for LUNCH for 2 adults and 2 kids. Not only the worst Thai Food I've had, but one of the worst meals I have had in recent years. Service was okay but the thought that they actually believed that their food was good left me feeling sorry for them.

Sitting here right now enjoying a hearty lunch. I ordered a medium heat green curry with chicken and a Thai iced coffee - very happy with both!

Incredibly disappointing. Purchased Pad Woon Sen, Tom Yum soup, and Larb Gai (my staples at any new Thai restaurant I try), basil fried rice, and Thai coffee. The only item I looked forward to consuming was the coffee. The soup tasted mostly like sour tomato- not good and not authentic. The basil fried rice was lacking quite a bit of flavor. The pad woon sen I didn't even bother finishing. All the flavor profiles were off. Not a good experience and sadly a total waste of money.

Felt like having Thai food yesterday. The new owners are very nice. I ordered chicken pad thai with medium spice to go. Unfortunately, when I got home, I had to add more chili sauce and spices. It wasn't hot at all 😅. Please, no one complains of Thai food being too hot. Other than that, I will be coming back.

The host Yaya is amazing. The Som Tam (papaya salad) was the best I've had. It was spicy and sour with fresh grated sour papaya, chilies, fish sauce, peanuts, tomatoes, lime juice, green beans chili and peanuts. The thai tea was earthy, nutty, creamy and sweet with a pleasantly unusual blend of herbs and cream. The Thai coffee was strong sweet and creamy. The Pad See Ew was pleasantly unusual it was ok. The chicken wonton was good especially the sauce.

The food was so delicious! The environment was friendly and very welcoming. The portions were generous and it was an all around great experience.

Just tried this place and the food is delicious. I guess the have rebranded because the name changed. I always tell my friends that I can never find a place with good Thai tea and Thai food. It’s usually one of the other. This place has both. I order the pineapple fried rice and it was great. I will be back.

For a buffet, I was impressed. $13 for all you can eat and a drink plus they have a hibachi where they will cook it right in front of you!

So when you look up Thai food in Williamsburg VA, just ignore everything but Bangkok Garden! Tried them all and the ONLY authentic Thai is here!!! Also the value is so much better and the ambience feels authentic vs. the others! I won’t name names… just trust me on this one!

My wife called in Sunday for pick up and had a difficult time communicating with the person the answered the phone. Be prepared to give them the numbers of the dish. I had something stuffed into a pineapple with chicken and shrimp, not my favorite. Probably will get duck next time. My wife got some soups and it was good. I have a menu so I can read it better than off the pictures on the web. They need to get their menu on line.

Pre-Covid I use to love their house fried rice. It use to be the only thing I would eat when I was pregnant. I went there today and young man was bagging up my food had no mask on. One of the CDC requirements for food service is to wear a mask while cooking and wear gloves and mask while boxing up food. This young man had on neither. I could have gotten pass the no gloves but not the no mask. I asked him do they where mask when they cooked he said yes. I asked him then where is his he had to unzip his pockets then pull it out because it was stuffed into his pocket. This indicated to me he didn’t have on a mask while he was cooking. If he did I still couldn’t move pass not having on one to bag up my food.

I haven't had a meal yet that I didn't like. It does take a while for the food to come up, so if you're in a hurry at lunch made call ahead at least 30 minutes. But the spring rolls and Pad Thai were great. My coworker had the crabmeat fried rice and said it was delicious.

One of the Best places for Thai food if you are visiting Williamsburg , Water Country or Virginia Beach. The Food Quantity is very good size portions for a family and prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly. Food is very tasty and definitely a hidden gem in the area.

I love this place for some delicious well priced Thai food. So far we have tried the drunken noodle, pad thai, and masaman curry with no disappointment. The Tom yum is also great and I really like the mushrooms they use in it.
