Classic noodles, rice dishes & veggie choices in a mellow, modern setup with a bar & patio seating.
My wife and I were in the area and looking for a tasty spot. We definitely found it.
The exterior of the restaurant doesn't look special. There is plenty of free parking directly outside the restaurant.
The interior has a modern mix of modern photo art and traditional asian themes.
The restaurant has a bar in the center with table seating surrounding it. All very clean and crisp.
The menu has multiple photos of menu items and is easy to read. When the food came out it looked like the menu photos which rarely happens as we all know.
Each dish had excellent flavor and good spice that you can ask to be raised or lowered when you order.
We started out with the Tofu Tod. It was crispy and the sauce was delicious. We also had the thai iced coffee that had the perfect amount of sweetness and was very smooth.
I had the Panang curry with chicken (white meat comes standard) and my wife had the Crispy Beef Basil. They were so good we joined the clean plate club.
We then pressed our stomach 's with the mango sticky rice. It was epic.
Total cost was $61.48. A bit much for a quick lunch but we will definitely be back. If for nothing else, the Thai iced coffee and mango sticky rice.
Staff is extremely rude. They are very rude to doordash and ubereats people. I saw them yell at the doordashers. They are always late when giving takeout.
Bad customer service.
Before heading downtown we decided to stop by and have dinner. We ordered the firecracker shrimp which was very tasty. The medium sized shrimp were crispy with a Sweet thai chili coating. Not overpowering spicy, just a light flavor.
Next up was entree time. I ordered the shrimp pad thai which had a good flavor, but seemed dry. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and larger than our appetizer. Overall, good. Not blowing my tastebuds off though.
We had three appetizers (spicy calamari, fried, sun dried beef, and duck rolls. All were very good and normal size. We will return to try more of the menu.
Fried rock fish is actually fried tilapia! All food portion sizes are too small to justify the prices.
Food was good, but the portion sizes were very small for how expensive they were.
Long time fan ordered take out, well delivery. After they charged me for delivery and a tip, they called to say there was no driver. So, I agreed to pick it up in 20 minutes. Got there and had to wait 15 more minutes. Got home and no rice. Called to say there was no rice and she said she would have someone bring it to my house. Then she called back and tried to argue with me that I actually had rice. Very uncool. Never going back.
Food was good, but the portion sizes were very small for how expensive they were.

Cheap! They put reg rice in the same container to save. Portion is so small.
Pasa Thai is more than Passa-ble, as the pork red curry and spicy calamari were banging. I also always gotta respect any place with as large a tea selection as theirs. They also refilled my water cup a lot, something other places sometimes neglect. I guess my one complaint is that the calamari could've been spicier.
No frills, just YUM
Super solid Thai. They are not crazy over the top, just everything is good. Long time staple in McLean dont miss it!
There are no lunch specials here and the only prices available are. dinner prices. The entrées are very high for lunch and the food was just so so. I would not eat here again
Price is very high! Price doesn’t match with the quality of food or service. Don’t ever order Tom yam soup! Worst! Don’t waste your money please!
Food would have gotten a better rating had I received something in line with what I asked for.
Service overall ok. It was my initial service who appeared annoyed and smug.
Ok for takeout but bad experiences don't receive rewards.
Too many places to choose from. $50 bucks and I didn't even eat my food. Wrapped most and took home.
Good food. Great variety. Excellent service.
Rather strong flavoring in pad Thai and crispy beef. Crispy beef looked and smelled good but I was very disappointed that there’s no beef in it!!!! It’s all deep fried beef flavored batter looking like beef strips. I didn’t want to pay $18 for pseudo beef.
Food is ok, nothing special compared with other Thai restaurants nearby. We ordered ginger beef and phad thai and surprised none contains vegetables. We won't come back because price is $18 but the portion is as small as children meal, especially the phad thai.
Kind pricey but taste good
Below average food, even for McLean . Got the Pad Thai and Ka Pro chicken.
Solid spot. Quick pick up.
The food was excellent succulent and delicious. I love this place I will come back to it every time I come to Washington DC.
Terrific restaurant, great food, great service.
Sometimes, when a product or service is outstanding, we can try and look the other way. This was a taste I want to forget and a sight too glad not to have brought youth with. Or is the sight for some enough to ignore their taste buds?
Either way, you can read between the lines. Don't take your teens there and if you must go, order water.
A Poster that belongs in an adult club doesn't work well in a strip restaurant.
Surprisingly good food.
The food was fine but portions were extremely small. We ordered to go a tray of 6 servings of the same vegetable dish, and it was actually more like 3 servings, for $95. We had to supplement the meal with additional food from home. Definitely not worth it. Will not go back. Chiang Mai Thai Cookhouse in McLean is much better.
My wife and I took our best friend out for dinner. We both eat Halal Food so we ordered Seafood Items. The Basil Thai Rockfish was perfectly cooked. It was sweet and spicy with fresh Basil. Also the Seafood Drunken Noodles was a joy. Service was nice and simple. Place was clean and quiet. We had a great time. Will visit again for sure.
Purchased chicken and fried rice. It was mostly rice with lonely peas and small pieces of tomatoes and nearly raw onions. Disappointed ☹️
Great night out
The food was very delicious BUT way Overpriced so for that reason I'm not sure that I would go again. I ordered red curry vegetable and added tofu and snow peas and that cost $27.
If I hadn't added the peas and tofu it would have been $17 which is still expensive but not as bad. The service was good and the place was clean and looked welcoming and nice.
Crispy Basil Chicken is delicious!
Food was very tasty and the place was clean with polite service, I'd eat here again anytime. Some dishes are a touch pricey (but it is McLean after all) and not everyone in our party enjoyed the cocktails they ordered. For my part I stuck to the lemonade and thought it was well-flavored.
Good food, good service
Food was tasty but way overpriced for the small portions you get. Was hoping to revisit this neighborhood Thai place but highly doubtful!
Expensive and they give you the least amount of food possible. Even the rice is half of what you would get anywhere else.
Great food, all servings were excellent, Yellow Curry Chicken, Crispy Beef, Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Duo Dumplings...everything tasty and authentic. Everything seeming prepared per order, so service can seem a little slow. Overall, can't go wrong.
The place is a little hidden but the food is impressive. A little on the pricey side but it’s worth it. I ordered Thai iced tea pad see ew chicken, sizzling beef and veggie fried dumpling. All were delicious. The inside is small but cute. Definitely one of those places that I’d be a regular at.
Great, fresh Thai food
Always good to excellent
My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Pasa Thai.
We got the Tofu Tod which was crispy tofu but soft on the inside with a sweet peanut sauce for the appetizer. It was a really good, and it wasn’t too overwhelming. I also had the Thai iced coffee, would recommend that highly.
For our entrees we got Penang Curry with Chicken and Crispy Basil Chicken. The portion sizes were good, even though we read reviews about them being small, we didn’t found them pretty satisfying.
One of the best Thai food I’ve had, would definitely recommend.
(Next on the list is to try Esaan, which is right next to them.)
The food was very fresh, flavorful, and hot. The servers was polite , knowledgeable, and quick. They were practicing social distancing for the customers and every worker was wearing mask.
Great, food, clean
Great food! Everything on th3 menu is great! Slow on takeout, so place your order early, choose pickup (instead of delivery) and be prepared to wait
Food is really good. But they are soooo cheap. Portions are very small. And the last couple times, they keep putting brown rice in carry out orders. Bc they're out of white rice? The dish nor I asked for it.
My date had Pad Thai, and praised it. I had Crispy Basil Chicken, but it should have been called Crunchy Basil Chicken. Tasty, but better the next day. Not so risky for my dentures.
I visited Pasa Thai this past weekend for dinner. Solo. Ordered the Papaya Salad and the Pad Thai with Beef. The two dishes were both okay from a flavor standpoint. However, I felt that the price was a bit much. The two dishes totaled out to $25.00; which in my opinion is too much, especially considering that the quantity of food was barely sufficient.16 dollars for a bowl of rice noodles with barely any protein! I wish I took pictures. The service was awkward, and matter-of-fact at best. I do not see myself I eating there again.
So good I started eating out of the box halfway through dinner
Over priced for the quality and serving size when ordered through delivery.
Over priced. Food wasn’t that great. Pretty disappointed. Lot better options in the area.
I had crispy duck, it was delicious
I have been coming to this restaurant with the family for years and am never disappointed. It’s a simple and small place, but it’s so nice to have this gem in this part of McLean. I’d recommend the penang curry and crispy basil chicken. The one peculiar thing is that they have a sister Thai restaurant two doors down that probably takes profits away from Pasa Thai.
Customer service was trash! I walked in and the host looked at me like I did not belong there. I told her I wanted a seat outside because it was nice outside and I was told someone will attend to me. I sat out there for almost 20 mins and no one showed up. I returned their menu to them inside and she looked at me dead in the face while I walked out. I went next door to Esaan and I’m glad I left Pasa Thai !!!!
I love Pasa Thai. Not only do they make the best Ka Prow in Arlington/McLean area, but they are so fast and friendly. I love all the service staff. By far my favorite lunch spot! Fresh ingredients and great spice. SO GOOD
Terrible customer service, lied about what oil they use - I have an allergy to soy and I emailed the restaurant 2 days before going there - Bow Srithongkum said they use soybean oil sometimes but could make me something without it. After I get there and order drinks, the waiter tells me that they use only soybean oil and that Bow had basically lied to me in my email. So I had to leave. I wish they had told me that in advance and not lied to me in the email.
Got some delicious foods.
I had one dish that was incorrect. After I and my husband had tasted it, we realized it was the wrong dish. I called in and asked for a replacement. They honored it. 5 minutes later, they called back telling me to have the wrong dish ready to return to them once they delivered the correct dish! WHAT! This is against all COVID protocol and not to mention, bad business and super cheap. We wouldn't have eaten the wrong dish anyways. I have been a loyal customer and have spent quite a bit of money at this establishment. Their customer relations needs to be fixed!
Absolute favorite Thai restaurant, love their green curry chicken. Always ask for extra spicy and they bring it on!
This store isSUPER SLOW AND BAD SERVICE
Great food, friendly staff, open for eat-in or take out.
Food so good
Get the Crispy Chicken Basil. No need to thank me
Waited 45 minutes for my order, they were just like "15 more minutes" but it was an endless 15 minutes, never ever going back there in my life
Best Thai food in McLean, VA! The crispy beef is my go to dish, but everything I’ve tried there is yummy.
Manager was so rude. I asked if all protocols are being used to cook the food, they all started laughing in the background. The manager even hung up on me. She said that they have been serving the area for a long time and do not care about bad reviews.
Professional, friendly and great cuisine! 5 stars all day!
Gone here several times to eat and have never been disappointed. Good food, service and prices.
We loved everything about this place. The food was delicious we have a pad Thai and we had the ground chicken with basil, the soft shell crab which was delicious and we had a chicken curry dish that was excellent. We eat Thai all the time and it never been here But we will definitely be back
Horrible food! Definitely never again not only this restaurant but Thai food.
The food was good; however, for the price we were hoping for a bigger portion that yields leftovers (as typical with other Thai places in the area). We had to give our young children a 2nd dinner.
Best Thai in Tysons & McLean!
The delivery was good other than the few spills that occurred because of the curry containers. However, the food was way below standard. The spring roll was just cabbage in a roll without any shrimp. There was only one and it was dry and hard to eat which was disappointing since it was almost 10 dollars. The curries were both way too sweet for our liking and were not even spicy enough to be called spicy much less "spicy hot". There amount of food that came was disappointing as 40 dollars worth of food came for the 73 dollars I paid for. I expected so much more from a 4.9 star restaurant on GrubHub.
Delicious. Fast. Excellent vegetarian options.
Excellent food. I enjoy getting takeaway from here.
Did a carry out order few days ago, and I ordered $80 worth of food, the portions are a lot smaller than before, I ordered tom yum soup and my soup had 1 pc of really shrimp , a quarter size of a scallop 😳 and 3 tiny mushrooms in it the broth are watered down not as tasty as I had it before. My Chicken pad thai had just noodles and not much meat In it. I feel like I Totally got ripped off. As much as I wanted to support this local restaurant, I am not coming back again. In my opinion if they want local support they should be fair to their customers as well. Been cooking a lot at home and wanted some carry out food for a change, but it’s just disappointing, Il go somewhere else next time. :(
Fantastic
Great place in the neighborhood.
Presentation was excellent. Food even better.
Food was really good and the server was friendly...even when we sat at the table long after our bill was paid.
My wife and I were in the area and looking for a tasty spot. We definitely found it.

They have the best drunken noodles in Tyson, McLean, Vienna and great falls. Their menu is extensive. Their bar is well stocked. Family owned and operated. The atmosphere is cozy and delightful.
You can always count on quality, delicious food at Pasa.
From noodles to yellow curry, everything here is hands down delicious. Been going here for a couple years now and food is still great!
Consistently good.
Excellent food!
Thai done right. Loved it
Great food at a good price. A bit tight on space, but, comfy. Service is good, not a lot of smiles, though.
The food is awesome! 🍜
Awesome!!!!!
Try the crab fried rice! Friendly fast service and great food
Pretty good as Thai food goes. Probably the best in McLean.
Disentary
Mediocre Thai food. I had pad Thai and red curry. The appetizer is overpriced for what you get, $7 for 2 spring rolls that are really mini rolls. For the satai you get 4 sticks with peanut butter sauce. The satai is very small. Red curry is watered down and lacks flavor, they do give you alot of chicken but that's it's, not much bamboo shoots or peppers. The fried rockfish is amazing. It is flavorful and very crunchy. Was. Worthy $27 price.
Small restaurant but food is good and staff is nice.
Nice ambiance, Fresh, CLEAN, food. Great customer service. I'll go back again.
Great Thai food. Must visit place if you are on McLean area!
Friendly staff. Excellent food and I have been to every Thai restaurant in the area.
Inside, the food is awesome, very authentic. Very much worth the price and very good.
Don’t even think about delivery. We ordered. It leaked everywhere, it didn’t have half the order, we were so mad I called to yell but wouldn’t let them re-deliver.
Decide for yourself.
Delicious food.
Service was excellent, food tasted good but decor is terrible - are they remodeling? Inside looked stripped and bare. And it was freezing cold, staff said it was even cold in the kitchen!
Had Larb Gia and curry. Yum! Will go back to try more. Friendly staff!
Vegetarian review: I ordered the green curry and Thai basil friend rice. You can get curries and food here without fish sauce in them.
The spice levels are definitely on the lower side so feel free to go higher. My ‘hot’ was at best equivalent to the ‘hot’ Taco Bell sauce.
The dishes were ordered were barely average because of the lack of flavor and the curry felt more watery than expected. This Thai establishment is one of the few places that does not have any eggplant let along eggplant in their Green Curry – which for me is essential to that dish.
The sticky mango ice-cream was beautiful and tasty as was my Thai iced-tea.
The restaurant itself had a beautiful decor for the holidays.
Great soups
Bad service, small portion
Good thai but not great. Noodles can be a bit oily and mushy at times. I've eaten here several times with the same experience. I eat thai frequently in my travels so comparison ranges most of the US.
Thai restaurant serving very good food in a cozy space at a very fair price point. Notable for top notch staff who excel in delivering service. Prompt and mistake-free. I took my team of 16. They were willing to shuffle their existing reservation seating around to accommodate us. All of our food was delivered promptly and without any mistakes. They also allowed us to host our white elephant gift exchange. I know not many places would allow us to do that during the lunch rush. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the area and craving Thai food.
I drive out of my way to get Chicken Pad Thai from them. Favorite Thai place in my area by far!
First time here. The Veggie Fried Rice was delicious & the peanut sauce was yummy. Great find.
Had the crab soup and Panang curry - very flavourful. Small intimate spot. Good service. Would definitely go back.
Excellent foods
Nice atmosphere and people. I like this place
Expensive
Great Thai Food if you want a nice sit down dinner
Friendly welcoming atmosphere. Delicious food as well!
Uh watery taste food
A good place for dinner. Finding this restaurant proved to be a bit of a challenge for me. It is tucked away from the road.
The drinks we ordered we all good. The crispy bean appetizer was really notable. Amongst the vegetarian entrees we ordered, the noodles and Penang curry were really good as well.
Finally I do recommend getting ginger ice cream. I am confident that you will the dessert.
Good place to eat. Good atmosphere, food, and service!
The green vegetable curry was delicious!
Great food (we had pad see ew with beef and green curry chicken). Plenty for 1, could share, certainly 3 dishes for 4 is enough. Fairly quick service. Lots of takeout as we waited and ate.
Love Pasa Thai! Everything on the menu is great. Each time i try something different. Today I had the green curry. Appropriately sized entree, great flavor and a reasonable price for McLean.
Very good food and service.
Everyone (group of six) liked all the dishes. Spicy dishes were quite spicy. Service was okay. I'd go again.
Pad see ew
Kafir lime
I ordered the pad kee mao veggie and not only was it amazing, but the waiter brought it to the table less than 10 minutes from ordering. There was always someone readily available to refill my water, which is important when eating spicy food. After one visit, it has already become a favorite. Very impressed.
My friends and I have been going to Pasa Thai for years because it's a fantastic place to eat and catch up. The restaurant is quiet with fun popular music playing softly in the background, so it's easy to hear each other talk. The food is great and works well for omnivore and vegetarian diets. We especially enjoy the Tofu Snow Pea, Pad See-ew, Tofu Tod, and the Chicken Pineapple. The staff is excellent; they are friendly, attentive, and quick. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice bite with friends or family!
The food and service has always been great here every single time. It's one of the more authentic and better Thai restaurant I've been to in the area and the portion are good. The quality of their chicken, fish, and beef is excellent
