Thai Restaurant
If you're craving Thai cuisine, My Thai Place should be at the top of your list. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere hints at the culinary delights to come. While it may not be strictly authentic Thai, the freshness of the ingredients truly sets this restaurant apart; you can taste the quality in every bite.
The flavors here are nothing short of exquisite. The balance of sweet, spicy, and savory is perfectly executed, with spice levels hitting just the right notes. For those who like a little kick, the Drunken Noodles with your choice of beef or chicken packs a rustic flavor and satisfying heat, rated at a solid 3 chili level.
One standout dish is the Panang Curry. Unlike what some might expect, My Thai Place does not offer red curry—only green curry and the wonderfully sweet Panang (there is a difference between red curry and panang curry)The ability to customize your curry with extra veggies, like red bell peppers and fresh basil, elevates it even further. I highly recommend the Chicken or Beef Panang Curry for a delightful, creamy experience.
Another must-try is the Pad Thai, which can be made with any protein of your choice. It’s perfectly stir-fried with just the right amount of sauce and garnished with fresh herbs. If you like lime with your Pad Thai, make sure to request it, as it’s not included on the plate. If you're in the mood for something crispy, the Goong Tod shrimp appetizer is a delightful start, while the Wonton Soup is a comforting classic that will warm your soul.
For a twist on traditional flavors, don't miss the Pad Se Ew. It's another favorite that perfectly complements the restaurant's lineup.
If you visit when it's available, definitely consider the Massaman Curry from the specials menu; it's a rich and fragrant dish that shouldn't be overlooked.
We have been consistently going to this place since 2017 and overall have enjoyed this little staple in the Brambleton community. If I were to have any negative thing to say is that sometimes it seems they can not handle extremely busy times and sometimes it shows through quality of the dish (which they will correct for you) or less attentive staff.
Overall, My Thai Place is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to indulge in fresh, flavorful Thai food. The staff is accommodating, so feel free to ask for those extra veggies to personalize your meal. Whether you're a spice aficionado or prefer something milder, there's something here for everyone.
We have ordered from My Thai many times and it never disappoints! The staff is extremely friendly when I pick up the order, our order is always ready with 15 minutes, there has never been a mistake in our orders, and the food is always delicious! I really appreciate the option to customize my Pad Thai as there are several things I can not eat and I love being able to add mushrooms! Honestly, I can't speak to the other items on the menu because my family is addicted to the Pad Thai, but I wouldn't hesitate to try other dishes because they are so consistent.
Food at this place used to be good, now both service and food is horrible. I moved in Brambleton in 2018 and have been visiting this restaurant quite frequently. Since 2020 this place has been horrible and the customers turn around reflects the same.
Here are a few things that really disappointed in ladt few years
- they offered my kids food in disposable plates without asking me while I was dining in.
- I was served with steel wool scrubber in my food (check the picture)
This is horrible service and I am posting this review after being a loyal customer for last 6 years.
Everything we tried was good! I loved the green curry with bamboo shoots. Although I had gotten it with beef I feel as though it could have been better with a different meat choice. For appetizers we got crispy tofu and calamari which were both amazing and came with sauce! Service was a bit slow since it had seemed to be understaffed today, but everyone was wonderful! NICE decor and ambiance and i loved the florals! I would come here again! I do recommend the crab fried rice although it could be more salty!
The ambience of the restaurant was great although it should have had some music playing in the background. But for post-COVID standards the restaurant was great. We got beef and tofu vegetarian pad Thai and it was very delicious. The wine was good too, but not excellent. There was a small choice.
I just realized I never reviewed this place before!!!! This is my favorite Thai restaurant! The food is always amazing and the staff are really sweet. The cocktails are pretty good here too. It’s a little expensive though.
We love this place. We order out from here several times a year and have never had issues with our food or the accuracy of our order. It’s a little pricey for what you get but take out options are limited in Brambleton.
I recently visited My Thai Place for dinner and ordered the shrimp basil fried rice and the vegetable basil fried rice. The flavors were good, but I was disappointed by the portion size, which felt quite small. It left me wanting more. Hoping they can improve on the serving size in the future.
Great place!

Awesome Thai place. Great prices and great food. One of the best bang for your buck places around.
Good food

I mostly get to-go food but do eat in restaurant from time to time. The green curry with chicken is my favorite dish, but I honestly haven't ordered anything from there that wasn't good.
Lovely appetizers, great entrees. The Thai beef soup is a winner.
Food was not too oily, not too salty and looked, tasted like real food. Customer service was quick and friendly.
The waitress kept pushing us she needs more tip and the owner doesn’t pay her any money
Overall a great local Thai spot. Good menu with interesting Entrees and appetizers.
I bought Thai chicken basil fried rice .
It tastes very bad not cooked properly !
I don’t suggest this restaurant .
Thank u!
Bad bad service everything bad.manger need a new job !@ she need learn how all people.his place need be shut down
As far as delivery driver over all was 0. IF YOUR NOT A CUSTOMER BE PREPARED TO WAIT 30 MIN FOR Your dOOR DASH OR GRUBHUB . THEY DONT PUT YOU FIRST. HE MANGER WAS SO RUDE AS YOU EXPLAIN WHAT WRONG SHE JUST WALK BACKWARDS AND TELL YOU CANCEL THE ORDER UMM HELLO NO . VERY RUDE! WANT THAI FOOD FIND BETTER PLACE!! STAFF WAS THE WORST
It's a waste of money. I went there first and will be the last
The Thai restaurant offers tasty food, but the portion sizes are tailored for individual servings, so sharing a dish might leave you wanting more.
We stumbled upon My Thai Place in Ashburn and it was such a delightful discovery. The Pad Thai there was nothing short of amazing, and the Drunken Noodles had just the right amount of spice to tantalize the taste buds without being overwhelming. The place had a friendly vibe, and the staff made us feel right at home. This spot is now on our go-to list for Thai food; the experience was genuinely satisfying and left us planning our next visit.
Horrible place. They don’t even care about mess up they do with orders. Also every time they just say give credit and repeat
Same
Mistakes and mess up the order. Please avoid this place
Great local Thai cuisine. Been several times and never disappointed. Friendly staff also.
Food was not that great. We tried Pad Thai chicken and Tom Kha Kai soup. Not tasting good. 😔
Great food
Nice people, quick service and delicious food with fresh ingredients. Will definitely come back!
"My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Despite my favorite dish, the red curry, being on the menu, I was let down by the lack of vegetables in the dish. There was barely a hint of red pepper. Furthermore, the language barrier made communication a challenge, which added to the complexity of the experience. As for the prices, I find them excessively high considering the quality of the food. Overall, I did not feel satisfied with the food or the experience at this restaurant, and I believe there is significant room for improvement.
We’ve been coming to the Brambleton location for the last ten years. It never disappoints.
Arguably the best fried rice I’ve had. I always recommend it to those who aren’t the adventurous type.
The Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Drunken Noodles are always delicious and safe bets.
Had an unplanned date night here and it was great. Very nice atmosphere and the food was very good.
The service at My Thai Place was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal.
Our experience at My Thai Place was exceptional. It's clear that the restaurant takes pride in its food and service. We would highly recommend My Thai Place to friends and family and look forward to returning for another visit soon.
Tried for the first time today. Really delicious food, tried 2 appetisers and 2 chefs specials - all was amazing!
Clean, not crowded. Top service, too!
Will definitely come back
We had pad Thai, soup, and bubble tea and it was all great. A little pricey but was isn’t these days? Waitress was very attentive and genuinely friendly.
We really enjoyed our meal here!
Low key thai place with decent prices.
Good food Good service
The food at this place is amazing, but that's not the good part. The drinks are exceptional. I'm convinced they have the best drinks in the area. Their fruity drinks are made with fresh ingredients instead of using syrups and cheap stuff like other places.
My biggest issue with this place is inconsistency. We eat thai several times a week and choose other places. I do Not recommend pad thai as it is flavorless and dry. If you like fried rice, I do recommend the fried rice items, which are pretty good. Overall, we go every now and then for convenience and a quick thai meal, but not the best.
Vegetable dumplings have meat. Sauces have nuts. Ordered delivery and now it is inedible. Not going to bother. Not good for anyone with dietary restrictions.
Very nice environment, kind service, and delicious food.
Despite not being a big Thai food person, I enjoyed my visit. I got the April-only (2023; don't know about other years) chef's special, Isaan Classic, which had beef, chicken, a spicy dipping sauce, a soy basil dipping sauce, and some kind of salad (didn't recognize the dressing).
It's finger food. It got a little messy, but I was happy when I left.
4-6-23 11:45 walked in the establishment to an unfriendly welcome the annoyed woman wearing jeans & striped shirt simply told me to pick a seat. Sat there a bit longer than I felt necessary so I walked out. Ordered food online instead. Pretty basic lunch drunken noodles and basil chicken. Nothing special about the flavors or quality of ingredients. I won’t go back.
Met up some great friends here and had amazing food.
I know authentic Thai cuisine and the curry sauces didn't disappoint 👌!
Appetizers were on point (calamari, chive cakes, spring rolls).
Pad thai was loaded with eggs and veggies. My Panang curry was full of veggies as edll. So I appreciated them not skimping on that.
Lots of parking in front and back of the restaurants!
Nice food & equally good service.
I love Thai food and I am having food from this restaurant from
Last 4 years. Earlier I used to dine in, but past 1.5 years it’s mostly take away. Trust me, if you dine in food tastes different and if it’s take away it’s awful. I thought am just assuming but this is like 4th or 5th time. Basil fried rice, Pad see-ew and chicken paradise are my regular items in my list. But the quality changes so much that now I started hating them. Came down to just 1 item but it has no flavor. Literally I feel like am eating plain rice veggies chicken with nothing(no salt no sauce or flavor anything). Now it just looks pale whitish color to see aswell. Pic is bright due to lighting in my home. Am totally done and never going to this place again.
Note: you guys should seriously serve better when we are paying for the food even if it’s take away. Don’t assume no one would come back to show you what kind of aweful food you guys are packing in the container.
The pic that I included is in trash, trust me I never waste food but if I know I will have throw up if I eat something, I just can’t help myself.
I wish I had zero rating option.
Delicious Pad Thai. Great service. Left my jacket, they held it for me in better condition I left it.
When I ask for spicy, they make it perfect.
We ordered pad thai, drunken noodle, and crab fried rice. My kid ate the fried as well. We all had worst food poison ever. The only thing we shared with my kid was the crab fried rice.
Best Thai food in the area!
Visited with my colleagues. This is a frequent location we all love to visit. Lunch specials have decent portions , and rightly priced. Have some cash handy if you are going as a large group and are going to split the bill. They had an issue with no. of cards that can be accepted for a single table during our last visit. Service is great and we will go back many more times.
Good Thai food
Mmmm yum
Been here a few times and been mostly pleased. Love the pad Thai and the drunken noodles were good despite the kind of “basic appearance”. Staff mostly polite and food comes out quickly for lunch. Prices are a bit high but they give you a good amount of food. Solid Thai place
Shady prices. Most rude Thai people I have ever met. Awful service.
Very flavorful food. Wait staff was very polite and attentive.
Wonderful fresh Thai food and great service!
Awesome food. Love the panang curry
My boyfriend and I come here quite often and are both obsessed with their panang curry! We consider My Thai place to be our neighborhood favorite and love bringing friends and family. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I recommend everything on the vegetarian menu and the vegetable spring rolls with the peanut sauce.
Worst Thai food I have ever had in last 25 years.
I will never use it again
I am just going as it’s local store but . Their taste is always bad… no matter how many times I order it’s same
No flavors… bye bye Thai
Go to Thai place in the Ashburn area. Consistent and delicious. Highly recommend the drunken noodles and dumplings.
Delivery is also quick and stress-free.
Amazing Thai food, we have been eating here for years and keep coming back for more. The taste, quality and amount is on par with the best restaurants I’ve experienced.
Ambience and location is good but taste and quality of food and service and attitude of staff was horrible.
Are there not enough dishes? Waiters hurried to pick up used dishes even we were still eating. Each waiter had own method and didn’t share orders. We ordered different drinks and another waiter gave us only water. Food is good actually. Take out is better than dine in.
Quick service delicious food
First time ordering from here. Food was excellent. I asked for the drunken noodle to not be too spicy and they clearly ignored that because it was insanely hot! The pad se ew was the best I’ve ever had. Would like to see them add more food in the containers as they are big containers but not even half full. They are quite pricey for what you get.
I’ll probably order from them again but I hope there’s more food in the container next time and that they see m my note about not making it too spicy.
My wife and I love My Thai Place! We’ve only ordered takeout from there and they produce orders very quickly, and have them waiting by the door so pickup is very easy. Recommended dishes include the spring rolls, steamed dumplings, pork fried rice and panang curry. Love their choices of spice level. I am not big on spicy dishes and med spicy is great.
I've eaten at My Thai Place numerous times, and it's always been the best. The ambience is soft, relaxing, and very clean. The staff are welcoming and helpful. I've had numerous vegetarian dishes, and they've always been fresh, tasty, and of generous portions. The prices are good, considering the great quality of the food. I don't know why it's always sparsely patronized. Perhaps because it's at the far right, somewhat empty end of the row on that strip mall. I'll be going again and again.
Always my favorite Thai place. ❤
Great food and priced right
Ordered a carryout Vegetarian dish Pad Thai which was quite average and had few pieces of tofu, vegetables. You can definitely get a much better Pad Thai for far less price from average Thai place. Their green curry was well worth for the taste. I will stick to other thai restaurants in the area where ambience and food is at much different level.
Tofu dishes need some more work. Maybe it’s probably a hit & miss as some reviewer mentioned. I have had better food from here before.
Good decent Thai place.
Excellent Thai spot - on par w all my favorite spots in NYC
Delicious food.
Wrong depiction of item in menu ordered paradise chicken it said crispy chicken in sauce but there was chicken balls (not crispy) … tasteless food
My most recent experiences with My Thai have been really good. I dined there recently and loved everything including the extensive drinks menu!
I ordered chicken pad thai which is priced at 8.99 for pickup at luch time, but I was charged for 11.2. Clearly the 15% tip was enforced and charged internally by the restaurant without notifying me. However, I am not supposed to pay any tip for a pickup order. Besides, the food amount is very small. I used to eat in another Thai restaurant and the pad thai is significantly more at the same price.
Boba is terrible they use power to make the juice
Ordered green beef curry which was just ok for the taste but very small quantity and terrible price - food hit or miss.
Excellent beef drunken noodles. Just the right amount of spice where it didn't overpower the flavor. Spice level is also customizable
The ambience of the restaurant was great although it should have had some music playing in the background. But for post-COVID standards the restaurant was great. We got beef and tofu vegetarian pad Thai and it was very delicious. The wine was good too, but not excellent. There was a small choice.
I am very disappointed! I ordered the Fish Cakes for the first time to go. The cakes had a very rubbery consistency and a burnt chemical like taste. Won’t try that again!
Very decent Thai food. Taste is better than average. Would recommend this place if you are not hard core Thai food fan. Overall good.
This place is a staple in our rotation.
The service is always super fast, very friendly and just so easy.
They have 2 locations that are about the same distance from our home. Generally we do take out from this location. If we’re dining in, we typically go to the Centerville location.
Drunken noodles are world class. Pad Thai is on point, as is their curries (especially the Panang which is our favorite). We try a new dish every time just to mix it up, which is how we discovered delights like the crispy duck basil and the Siamese beef.
If you haven’t tried this place, add it to your rotation today! We’ve eaten here hundreds of times and had a wonderful experience every single time.
This place is Just SAD
Love this place! The food is always delicious and everyone who works here is great. Speedy place to pick up take out.
This place is great! They are friendly, fast, and courteous. Probably most importantly, the food is delicious. I tried a few Thai places in the area before finding this gem. No need to try any other Thai restaurants. This is my "go to".
I would give negative stars if possible. Very late and rude customer service
Worst restaurant ever. I had to wait 45 mins for an order. And worst food too. And rude customer service
Amazing green curry and beautiful atmosphere inside
Delicious authentic Thai food. LOVED the Panang Chicken!
The absolute best Thai place in the area! Drunken noodles are amazing as are the Spring rolls. If you enjoy spicy food they do a great job of making it extra spicy, when requested.
I had the pad thai and it was delicious, the prices are good and the service is fast and prompt.
Great food every time!
Love all kinds of menu items here. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that it looks clean... floors. Windows and doors! Makes you feel that the food may be prepared cleanly when a restaurant (the portion a consumer can see) looks clean!!!
Had the worst fried rice ever . So bland , no fried or curry taste . Tasted boiled vegetables mixed with rice with absolutely no taste to it. Ordered vegetarian pineapple fried rice with tofu with spice level -5/5 . No tofu in the rice with 0 spice level. Had to throw away. Totally disappointed!
Food is good but Customerservice is the worst
My favorite Thai place in the area. Never diappointed with the food or service.
They add 18% automatic tip to party of 5 even though it is not mentioned in the menu or any where else. Service is just okay, doesn't warrant 18% tip.
I visited My Thai Place for the first time today. The location is very convenient if you live or work in the Ashburn area. Our server was very friendly and polite. I ordered Cashew Chicken (my standard Thai order no matter where I go). The food was delicious. I will definitely visit again.
I normally don't do 1 star reviews but I think this warrants it. First, the establishment was clean and nicely decorated. The menu seemed like it had a good variety of food. My 1 star comes by service. I was not greeted in the best manor but it wasn't a big issue. The issue was when I was ready to order. Although it wasn't busy(3 other guests that were couples.) the waitress did not bring me any water after being seated. As I waited she did have time to top off every other tables water, bring 2 tables checks and cash out both tables. Keep in mind she sat me. I just walked out. This situation made me feel like she judged me is some way, if not I feel she would've at least given me standard service. There are many awesome thai places here that have never made me feel this way. ........
Excellent soulful food! Great service!
Food from My Thai Place is horrible. We ordered kids chicken fried rice and chicken is not cooked.Staff is not even concerned about the food they deliver. Not worth going.
The larb was salty. I would suggest informing your guests that gratuities are automatically added with party of 6 or more.
Food is decent..not exceptional
Bad sevice. Never offer you extra napkins. Long wait to get water or desert order.
My favorite Thai restaurant! I usually get the Panang Curry, which is always delicious. Tonight I had the Thai Beef Noodle Soup. So good! My wife loves their sweet and sour chicken (no breading which she loves).
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Best Thai food in the city. If you like spicy, go for the 4 out of 5 to start.
Great place to get real Thai food made gluten free. If you want a great drink, get a fresh made mojito to go with dinner. They are served with real sugarcane
The food is usually decent but my latest order was awful. The fried rice had no “fried rice” flavor and the veggies had a fishy taste. Had to throw it away. $$ down the drain.
I'm not a big fan of thai food but this place is very delicious. This was a nice discovery.
Food and service is always great!
Excellent Thai food here! Their panang curry is sooooo good. alot of places cant get it done authentically and right like this place can!
Decent ambience and good food. Patrons tend to be noisy.
Great place excellent food and excellent service
Very unsuspecting from the outside but BEAUTIFUL on the inside. I love their food and the service is fast and superb!
Great food, mostly good service, except for one lady who always seems to be impatient. I really want to go there often, but, always hope that particular lady shouldn't be my server.
Clean fast and great food.
Very good food all around and best tasting spring rolls I have found so far
Good food and good prices
It has always been a good thai place in broadlands. Today, the food seemed not as warm as usual...unsure why
Big fan of Thai food and this place does not disappoint. Their food is great and their service is excellent. If you love spicy food this is the place for you. They even have the delicious mango sticky rice which is a traditional Thai delicacy....love it and I will come back!!!
Really love their chicken pad Thai and spring rolls!
