Crystal City restaurant serving classic Thai dishes in a stylish space with colorful murals.
Flavors were pretty alright. The basil fried rice had a good flavor, albeit a bit mild/something missing (more basil, white pepper, oyster sauce). The rice was also a bit overcooked for me/mushy.
The calamari was very crispy. But super overcooked on the inside/chewy. The dipping sauce was too sweet as well
Prices are a bit much/not worth it for me as well.
Delicious food and great service! We came for lunch and were seated right away and given water immediately. We started with the chicken satay which came hot and was delicious. For entrees I got the pad se ew and my friend ordered the chef special crispy salmon kapow. Both were really good and for drinks we each got a Thai iced tea which was perfectly sweet. They have several hot sauces and chili oils available as well by request. Overall a great experience and good food!
This is the first time coming to this place and I want to say wow what an experience. From walking in and being greeted at the door with happiness and professionalism I was impressed. The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable suggested a couple plates that was very good so I pick the Spicy Basil Fried Rice. In no time the food came out and I went down to take the first bite, it exploded in my mouth as every taste bud in my mouth enjoyed it. If you are in the area of Arlington looking for great an atmosphere, awesome food, and reasonable price try this place you will be impressed on how they treat you and how the food is superb.
This was a hidden gem for our group. I had the duck curry and crispy salmon with a couple cocktails. The atmosphere and food was great! It was almost empty for a Friday night so don't sleep on this place, it was amazing!
Walked in and ordered takeout - it was ready quickly and was 100% correct. Shrimp Pad Thai was delicious - although I missed the crushed peanuts usually on it like at home. Chicken Satay was good and the steamed dumplings were very flavorful. Would definitely go here again if in the area.

The food here is delicious! The staff are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
I came in for padthai after a craving. I ordered takeout from the bar. Had a cocktail while I waited. The bartender was kind. The food came quickly..like in less than 5 min. That should've been my first red flag. The calamari was too greasy. My seafood pad thai had 2 small shrimp and 2 micro scallops. The chicken pad thai was ok. The noodles were plentiful...like too plentiful. The spring roll was a bit chewy after driving g 20 min home. Overall this food gave me "Fridays" type of Thai food. I honestly feel luke it was pre prepared and reheated. $72 and super unhappy. MaiThai was great though!

My friend and I really enjoyed this place yesterday. Their spicy rice is amazing, and they give you a lot of additional sauces to it.
The food was very average, I had the spicy basil fried rice. The customer service was horrible. The lady had an bad attitude when speaking with us. While picking up our food, which was placed on the bar (customer side) we checked the names and picked up our bags. A lady came from the dining area and literally YELLED at us. We told her it was our food and with an attitude she mumbled and then walked. If you don't want customers picking up their orders like other restaurants, i suggest moving the food BEHIND the counters. None the less, yelling at the customer as if we were harming you is completely un-professional. Your food isn't good enough to handle bad customer service!
Picture it: I've been walking up and down Crystal Drive for an hour, sweaty and furious, looking for Zipcar that aren't where they're supposed to be. I haven't eaten in hours and am starting to feel dizzy. Buffalo Wild Wings is open, in theory, but they act like my desire to spend money in their establishment is an enormous imposition. So I turn my lonely heart and empty tummy to Neramitra, and they did not disappoint. They couldn't have been nicer. The food was made quickly and tasted amazing. I was a Neramitra regular before I moved away, and I'm glad they're still offering delicious food and terrific service.
This place is seriously good!!! While the interior probably needs some modernization, the food is excellent, the cocktail are oh my goodness good, and the staff is awesome. Highly recommend!
The food portions are huge, explaining why everything is $20+. I’ve not loved anything I’ve had here, but the atmosphere is nice and the service is great.
Peor servicio del mundo
No exaggeration here: Best green curry I've ever had. The waitress was really nice and the food came out really fast.
My wife, our baby boy, and I went there for my 40th birthday dinner last night. Beautiful, clean restaurant. The service was FANTASTIC. The dishes and drinks were DELICOUS! We had the seafood salad, which was fresh and had generous portions of squid, shrimp, and scallops. Also, we had the chili basil fried rice with seafood, which had bright, fresh ingredients. We also had the tum yum soup, duck red curry, thai iced tea, and fresh lemonade. The red curry was delicous, even if a little watery and the duck portions were small. We ordered our entrees thai spicy, and they did not disappoint! Both were quite spicy indeed!
Overly sweet and not fragrant dishes, also very rude service during lunch time.

This place is LEGIT. The best Thai in the area.

The Pad Thai was ok, it had plenty of chicken and pork (pork isn't usual) but without two essential ingredients: crushed peanuts and lime slices the dish was sub-par. Try to add both in the future.
It came with a large group and the servers really did a great job handling so many orders. Very appreciative that they allowed us to have separate checks with so many people. The food was perhaps a little restrained for American palates but good flavors. I would definitely come back.
I ordered the Panang curry which was different than other Thai restaurants I’ve been. It had a bit too much coconut and barely any vegetables. The Tom Yum chicken soup was a okay as well. For the price, it could have been better. Thankfully the service was great and very friendly.
Went here with colleagues today. The duck rolls and calamari were nice. I had pattaya seafood and it was delicious. It wasn't that spicy despite the "double asterisk" rating but you can just ask for chili and they'll give you a set of 4 different chili sauces/flakes. The long island iced tea was nice too.
This is our local go-to Thai restaurant. I've ordered many a dish here, but by far, my most commonly ordered is the Drunken Noodles. I've always loved the dish, and while theirs isn't my personal favorite (that was from a place that sadly no longer exists in Hawaii), I think it's a well-rounded version of the dish to satisfy most fans. The Thai iced tea and the Thai coffee are very good as well. We've tried a handful of the appetizers and not been disappointed, same with the soups. My only personal qualm is that I wish the dishes were a bit spicier. They have a spice tray (upon request), so I can spice up my meal on my own food, which is a nice option. But I think the base dishes (especially a dish like Drunken Noodles) could use a little more pep in their step (or at least a range of heat options available).
It was okay. No spice levels or anything exciting like that. Bland flavor
Food: I order the Pad Thai (super spicy one) and I liked it. It was my first time trying it after being recommended by a friend. It was excellent!
Service: The restaurant personnel were very accommodating. We ate as a group (20+ person) and they attended to everyone's request. Great service!
Atmosphere: The place was very nice. Like the ambiance and style.
Food was good but atmosphere was not so inviting.
The food here was just fine. Service and atmosphere is good.
Agradable, regresaría a comer al lugar
Standard and yummy
Food was good, though the calamari was a little bit greasy. Overall, it was tasty.
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been in my travels. The people were extremely welcoming, too.
I had chicken fried rice. It wasn’t bad at all, just a little bland. Could’ve used some basil and chilis at least. Probably not fair to judge the place on one simple dish, but the other reviews make me think this place is generally mediocre. I would probably look elsewhere for great Thai, as there are a lot of really good spots in the area.
Watery soup and tastes like fish (I’m vegetarian) too expensive for value
Panang curry was great, so were the drinks! Food came very quick (faster than the drinks actually) but they weren't too busy.
First, food was below average. I walked to the restaurant from my hotel in the rain and picked up the food. Bag handles were tied together so I couldn't check the order. Got back to the hotel and discovered they forgot the rice. I called and the guy was rude. He reluctantly agreed to drive to my hotel, and THEN WAS RUDE WHEN HE HANDED THE MISSING DISH TO ME...As if it was my fault. Was here on business and will be back...but not this restaurant. Did I mention the food sucked????
I was in town for work and went in for lunch. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and our waitress was very nice. She kept a close eye on the groups drinks and made sure we had refills. I tried the Fried Rice with chicken because it was my first time having Thai. It was great! I really enjoyed my trip and look forward to another visit.
Excellent menu and top notch service! Great Thai options. Nice atmosphere.
Excellent panang curry, I'd gladly go back and try more dishes
Great Thai food
Excellent food, friendly staff.
Good Thai food. Reasonably priced. Never a wait.
Good experience.
We had a party of 6. Thai is one of our favorite kinds of food to have at new places. We all tried each other's dishes and while we agreed they were very good, everything was saltier than we'd have liked.
Poor quality food and rude host
Delicious Thai classics, spring rolls, curries, noodles with your choice of meat. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and was hot.
Probably the best Pad-se-ew I’ve ever had. Absolutely scrumptious.
Yum!
Stayed in DC for a week and went to dinner here twice. My first experience with Thai food and it was delicious! Not sure if this place in particular is great, or if Ive just been missing out! Duck roll, and chicken Pad Thai are fantastic and Duck Ka-Pow is delicious. Waitress was lovely and attentive with refills and asking how everything was. 10/10 would come here everytime I'm in DC.
Ordered take out for 7. Super friendly hostess! Food was prepared quickly & everyone really enjoyed what was ordered. Would definitely eat here again!
Excellent food, cocktails and polite service. Clean restaurant. Clean bathrooms.
It was really good curry but they gave the food and chased me out. So that was ok
Delicious food. Was slightly busy when we went there. Will definitely try it again.
Everything comes out of freezer, warmed up and served. Food tastes like rubber.
Great customer service. Clean. Food tasted a little fishy but overall great experience.
At an hour till close refused to serve us but served other Asian people. Will not recomend. They are lazy and said it was closing time but sign on door says open till 9pm.
An above average experience.
I see the other reviews here and I must have hit this place (twice) at a bad time. Most recent, the pad Thai had an overwhelming vinegar flavor, not really anything else, and made my stomach upset. The calamari was dripping grease, the coating just sliding off, and the pieces were way too thick. I’m not sure what the sauce was supposed to be, it was thick and sweet like a maple syrup.
Before I had the drunken noodles which were too sweet. No flavor to speak of. I ordered them with tofu and the chunks were like foam, no flavor and too big.
I’m not sure I want to risk a third time, despite the raving review I get from my colleague.
Nasty and I saw someone use a fork to itch her head then put it on a table for customers to use to eat
Very tasty, not expensive
Sweet and Sour w/Chicken was amazing!
Great Food.
Great Service.
Everytime
Update 2022 May 31
Still great
Got the drunken noodles was okay
Crispy banana with ice cream was amazing!
Best restaurants in the area. The friendliest servers! Food was traditional Thai and so delicious. Ordered chicken red curry and coconut mango 🥭 and it was Delicious!! Definitely Repeat.
We returned again to great service and delicious food. This time ordered beef salad appetizer which for $10 was best deal. Red curry and pineapple fried rice 🍚 which has a nice fire roasted charred flavor and finished with mango sticky rice. 😋
Decided to try this restaurant because it was close to the hotel. Was seated promptly and after getting water saw a rat run across the dining room floor. Notified the staff and they asked if we would like to be reseated. The staff acted as if this was a normal occurrence. We decided to eat elsewhere.
We both enjoyed our shared appetizer and our individual dishes. The service was excellent.
After a long flight, all I wanted to do was shower, eat, and sleep. I scoured the web for a simple restaurant that could deliver my favorite food, Thai. I ordered the Vegetable Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Crispy Green Chive Dumpling. After all of that, I was left hungry and upset. The pad thai was lacking. The serving size was meager for the price I paid. The fried rice was mushy and did not appease my appetite at all. Also, there was no pineapple in the Pineapple Fried Rice. The dumplings were nice and crispy, but they were a side note and could not fulfill my hunger satisfaction.
Got the pad Thai after the recommendations of other reviewers. I honestly was not impressed can even go as far as saying one of the worse pad Thai dishes I’ve had. I asked for spicy and they told me pad Thai was sweet? But then said they did have spicy and it was such a weird heat, it didn’t taste spicy but my mouth just burned. Won’t return.
Food was good and employees were friendly but couldn't understand them at times. But very friendly.
Omg ! I loooooove his place. I always get the chicken pad thai, drunken noodles, satay and papaya salad. Is so good! They orders are taken efficiently and they all was deliver to me quickly. I typically order every other week and I love it! YUMMY! Happy customer at The Clark !
Delicious Thai food everytime!
I was not a fan of Thai food until we ate here. Thank you for changing my mind. I can't wait to return.
Food and service was amazing
We visited this restaurant in November 2021. We found it on the last day of our trip, and I really wish we had found it earlier. The food was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly. They made excellent suggestions, and we were very pleased with our food. We had the Pad See Ew with Chicken, the Pad See Ew with Seafood, the Tofu Soup, and the Fried Calamari.
The fried calamari was very good, though I wish the pieces were cut a little smaller (this is purely personal preference). The day had been cold, and the tofu soup was exactly what we needed to warm us up. The star of the meal was the pad see ew. It was delicious! I'm normally picky about seafood, so I went with the chicken (always a safe option). My mother chose the seafood option. While the chicken was excellent, I preferred the seafood.
We will definitely come back next time we're in town!
We stopped by here just a few minutes before they opened officially without realizing it because the door was open but they were kind enough to seat us and serve us early anyway. (Great customer service for not turning us away) we were starving and this place met our need and expectations completely.
This was my first time having thai food, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover how good it was.
We had spring vegetable rolls as an appetizer and they didnt last very long on the table. We were hungry and they were so good it felt like a tease lol
For my entree, I chose Pad Cashew. This was stir fried cashew nuts, water crescent, carrots and scalions in a light brown sauce. Very reasonable price worth every penny.
I highly recommend this place to vegans and non vegans. They were very accommodating and willing to veganize alot on their menu.
Excellent customer service and delicious authentic thai. 5 stars of course!
My food was terrible. The Chicken was tough like rubber. So disappointed!...They have changed, no authentic seasonings, food was not of average quality. I tried contacting them, they have not responded. Why..... plz stay away if you can.
Great food and service!
Happened by the restaurant on a Sunday evening. We had the restaurant to ourselves pretty much, and we had a waitress who was exactly the right amount of being attentive.
The Tom Yum soup was pretty good, a nice way to start the meal. I had green curry with shrimp next, which besides the shrimps that were cooked just right, the curry itself wasn't very flavoursome.
For dessert i had mango sticky rice, which looked very nice, but the flavour and texture just didn't live up to the presentation.
I thought the food was absolutely excellent. Service was perfect.
I ordered takeout from your restaurant yesterday 9/30/21. I ordered spring rolls, veggies in garlic sauce and seafood fried rice. Great customer service but the food wasn't great. The veggie platter was good but the container was half full. Two of the three spring rolls were burnt. The seafood fried rice was dry, no eggs, two pieces of tomato, no onions and barely any seafood. I paid $40 for these items and was not happy.
Visited this restaurant while in Washington D.C. Omg!! Amazing! The quality of the food was exceptional! Ordered a red curry and One can easily savor and enjoy the various flavors in the food. The service received from our waitress was exceptional! I would definitely come back again when visiting from Atlanta.
Best Thai food in Arlington. Highly recommend - my wife and I have tried the entire menu and everything is fantastic.
I love this place. It is authentic Thai. In addition, they use Crab meat when you ask for crab and they do not substitute crab with white fish (which pisses me off to no end). So, 5 stars from me. Eat in or take it home - this food is so good.
Great service and delicious menu. Always happy with everything we order.
Not a bad piece of Thailand
Friendly folks, very accommodating, the food was wonderful In prices reasonable
I am Thai. I was disappointed with my Papaya Salad and Pad See Eew, it wasn't Thai spicy enough and they made it better but worse. I think they put chili powder instead of fresh Thai chillies. I still tried to enjoy the meal, but I would never eat here again. Servers were nice but its just not Thai enough for me.
Nice, quiet place to dine and have a conversation with someone. Inexpensive, well prepared meal.
The food is too salty and doesn’t even taste like pad thai
Neramitra was easily the best Thai food I have had in a long time. The drinks were great, and the food was even better. I loved the drunken noodles and the red curry! I highly recommend Neramitra Thai Cuisine for high quality Thai food and great drinks!
We absolutely LOVE Neramitra! We always order the drunken noodles and they always come out perfect. We have never had an issue with taste or quality in the 3+ years we have ordered from them. Excellent service and friendly staff make it an even more enjoyable experience. Thank you, Neramitra!
My food definitely seemed microwaved. For $22 I was hoping it was at least cooked the same day. The crispy duck certainly wasn’t crispy, but somehow overcooked. Easily the worst Thai food in Crystal City.
Very yummy and friendly.
We order from them every week. Their drunken noodles are great we are also obsessed literally OBSESSED with their Tom Ka soup I think it is (the Coconut Lemongrass soup with chicken). It’s exactly the type of soup you want when you’re really cold.
Expensive but nice portions and great flavor. Staff is very friendly and service is quick.
Decent Thai food and better than urban thai around the corner or Thai in shirlington. They don't pack take out very well and there are much better Thai food options in northern Virginia, but for crystal City, it's probably your best bet. The food is ready super quick and the people are nice. They deliver in the evening. I usually get pad see ew. They really need business right now, during covid.
Great Thai food.
Nice
We love Neramitra! We order from them about once a week. The delivery is generally quick and super friendly. Food is tasty! We usually get green or panang curry and drunken noodle. Especially nice to have the option of just vegetables since I don’t always want tofu. The crispy bananas & Coconut ice cream are so delicious!
Such nice people and the food is great. Don't skip the Coco shrimp appetizer. I get 2 orders for a nice Friday evening meal. They have dedicated outdoor seating all the time (not just for pandemic reasons).
Ordered fried calamari, chicken fried rice and additional duck. Holy Moses!!! Worst Thai food I have tasted.
Love the food love the service. We have been going to this restaurant for 6plus years.
I ordered Tom Kha soup with chicken and Pad Cashew with beef. They tasted great! Staff are very friendly.
This place is so great the food is the best Thai food I have ever had and The service is so nice and helpful. The restaurant itself is very clean and pretty would 10/10 recommend !! 💗💗🍚🍲
The pad thai was fresh and delicious.
Fast convenient service in these tough times!!! Delicious!!!
Good menu, friendly service, fast preparation. Great spot to get in and out of for lunch. They can handle larger groups as well.
Delicious Thai! Tom Yum soup and Pad Sew were perfect. Nice service too.
Food was well seasoned, tasty & portions were sizable. Servers were attentive and service was quick. Food was hot. Atmosphere was inviting.
The food was so good. Ordered for takeout. She told me what my name was lol. She already knew what I ordered. The food was delicious. Drunken Noodles is my fav. Perfect spice. very flavorful
Is this a sea food or mushrooms soup? Two pieces 90 percentage mushrooms. Unbelievable. I order a salmon as well and it's cold . It's the worst restaurant ever. To be fair, the only thing that l like the decorations . It's like a beautiful mug but the water is salty. When I ask to fix it . They say take it or leave it . No customer services at all .
Nice restaurant.
Always love this good-quality food in Crystal City; moderate prices and hearty portions
Very rich red curry
Great food and popular place
Compared to other Thai restaurants, this was very disappointing. Food is not really good. Btw the bartender does NOT know how to mix.
I've been to Neramitra several times with co-workers and the food is always good and service great. I usually order the shrimp & scallops. The seafood is cooked to perfection! The scallops are so tender. Today, I ordered the ginger shrimp. It wasn't as good as my usual dish, but I still enjoyed it.
Great food and accommodations. We had a party of 8 during a very busy lunch time but was seated within 15 minutes
Solid duck red curry, and decent iced coffee. Service was excellent even though they were slammed for the lunch rush.
The food was amazing.
Delicious food, friendly and attentive staff, and a nice atmosphere if a tad noisy. We stopped here for lunch on a whim and were not disappointed! We had the yellow curry and Honey Shrimp, which were both excellent. You can't go wrong with this place! Great Thai food.
