Thai dishes & creative sushi rolls presented in a warm, relaxed atmosphere with traditional accents.
Greeted at the door and instantly got seated; everyone I interacted with here was very nice and friendly. I was in from out of town and wanted some thai food and was not disappointed. I ordered some Curry rangoons over crab rangoons and was pleasantly surprised. These were absolutely amazing and did not regret getting them over crab rangoons. I also ordere a pot of the Tom Kha Gai coconut based soup with mushrooms and chicken and it was incredible. My main dish was a musaman curry which was peanut based and it was creamy and delicious. I am so glad they came with rice, some spots don’t come with rice! Overall great service from our waiter and good food, will definitely come back if in town, prices were fair!
We are so thrilled that we stopped by Benja’s for dinner. Even though they were extremely busy, we were promptly seated and our server Jeanne was there waiting to take our drink order. She was so pleasant! We started with the Fresh Basil Rolls !! The flavors were amazing with the two types of dipping sauce. The Cilantro sauce was so fresh and a change of pace from the typical peanut sauce. We chose the Drunken Noodles, Spicy Basil Fried Rice and the Benja’s Asparagus. All of these were medium heat with no protein.
I do have to agree with one of the prior reviews that we were pleasantly surprised how good the food was here at Benja’s after traveling around the state and being disappointed with the bland cuisine we have had in other restaurants throughout.
Thank you Jeanne for your hospitality and thank you kitchen staff for the excellent food.
You won’t be disappointed 🌞🌞
Lovely place with so many options. I’ll have to come back and try something else another time. I did have large hot sake, and the seaweed salad is the best I’ve ever had. I had two sushi rolls, which were OK. One was the sunset and one with the spider. But the lemon cheesecake dessert was phenomenal! And the service was perfect.
This restaurant has a huge space and very courteous staff.
We ordered the following
1. Tom yum soup : Great taste , nice spice level.
2. Thai Curry: Really good taste. I wish the potatoes had been well combined with the curry and the taste. Potatoes felt bland and the curry could have been a bit thicker. But overall taste was really good.
3. Fried rice : Was good. Can't complain
Overall the staff was amazing and the food was delicious. Ambience is very peaceful
I normally love sushi but the Vegas and Crunchy Cali rolls were just alright. They weren't bad, but they also weren't anything special. Our service was great and the Mr Fisher roll was actually pretty good and I liked the orange chicken. I would probably come back at some point, but it might not be my first choice.
There was a soup we got that was actually super good, but I don't remember what it was called. I think it was the coconut soup but it had a much fancier name that I can't remember. It had mushrooms, chicken, some greens and the broth was incredible. If I come back I will for sure get that.
Benga’s Thai was recommended to me a year ago and we went to their other location in town, which was so good but they didn’t have the coconut water in a coconut and I was sad so my family and I came here to this location. I had the coconut water in the coconut and it was so refreshing. We enjoyed our family meal here. There are spring rolls were so fresh and delicious. My kids had the Cali sushi rolls and loved them. They ordered more. Our special sushi rolls were flavorful and scrumptious. Our server was so pleasant and always checked up on us. The service here is wonderful from all. The pad Thai was not to be skipped. We can’t wait to come back to this location again. The other one is very busy since it’s a tourist location. This was more locals and very chill. I totally recommend.
Usually love Benja’s but had a bad experience tonight. My level 1 curry was VERY spicy (I have been here before and it was not this spicy). I told the waitress and she wouldn’t do anything about it. I then found several egg shell pieces in my drunken noodles. I was compensated for nothing. Very disappointed and an unfriendly waitress.
Food and service were great! The portion sizes are large and service was prompt, even though it was a busy night.
The food is incredible here. We had the Coconut Shrimp and Chicken Satay, for an appetizer. Both were really excellent.
The main courses were the stars of the show.
1 serv. - Orange Chicken - A+
2 serv. - Sweet and Sour Chicken - A+
1 serv. - Thai House Noodles - A++
Everything was great and the cost for it all was under $100.00
Highly recommend
After a nice hike and enjoying the outdoors stopped and ate at Benjas Thai Garden about 8pm . Several hrs later we were sick x3 of us. Sick the next 24hrs 1 vacation day wasted for our group. All had some kinda food poisoning because out of 6 of us had the same meal the other 3 at vegan dishes. Not a place I would RISK MY VACATION TIME FOR. And really not great flavors kinda dry and blah.
First time trying Thai food and it was great. Service wonderful.
The food was pretty good overall. Our server was excellent - I forget her name. The atmosphere was a little off with the music and scenery, but not bad.
Great soup
太難吃了快逃ㄚ
They’re usually amazing! I don’t know
If they got a new cook or what. I’ve been out of town for 3 months and been dreaming of eating here, however My yellow chicken curry was bland and watered down with absolutely no flavor. The soup didn’t have much flavor and had 3 tiny pieces of chicken. Such a shame.
Good sushi! My favorite in St. George! They always seem short staffed though.
Super friendly staff!!! We were seated immediately, and got our appetizers pretty much as soon as they took our menus. It was well paced, as we got our food as they took our appetizer dishes.
The food was delicious and the staff was very nice. 100% recommend!
Absolutely great! 10/10 our server was incredible very kind and patient with us as well. We will be back again!

Honestly, we love Benja’s Thai garden! The drunken noodles, basil veggies, and curry our favorite!
Delicious! Reasonable prices,
Great food
Great food. Good atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit.

I was in town on a business trip. I always find the best place I can to try their Drunken Noodles. Prior to this trip a restaurant in Ft Pierce Fl held the title for me of the best drunken noodles.
Well their is a new winner for me. I got the lvl three heat and it was perfect. The service was great as well. I will be back the next time I am in the area.
For years we have gone to both Benjas and love them both. Tonight I took my haughtier her husband and our 2 little grand daughters. Even though one was fussy it was still a great time. I changed my routine from drunken noodles to the waitresses suggestion of cashew dish. Excellent choice. Everything else was excellent as usual. Off to the side a lady watched us and as I was holding my 3 month old grand daughter she came over and spoke softly and was sweet and kind. She spoke of how children are such a blessing. I knew it was Benja and it was such a kind gesture. She is an amazing woman and we are thrilled to have her talents here in our little neck of the woods.
Always our first dinner stop when we're in St. George. The food was as good as we remembered.
Sweet and sour was really good.
Food was scrumptious!
One of our favorite Thai places, great sushi, fantastic drunken noodles.
We love Benja! We discovered it 8 years ago on a trip and make it a must to visit each time we are in St. George. The food is all delicious, the staff is always extremely friendly, and it's always clean and relaxing to just catch up with friends or family. Highly recommend!!
Food was delicious, service was excellent!
Our favorite Thai restaurant! Spicy eggplant is the best!
Pad Kee Mao at level 5 was 👍 👌
Service is always friendly, quick and delicious!
Amy and NeNe we love you and Lauren we miss you!
Really yummy food. Come every time we're down in St. George
Expensive, sushi was not that great, sweet and sour chicken was a small portion compared to other Chinese places
No everything was great I've been to all the other places in town even the high-priced on the top of the boulevard I won't mention any names but if you want better food at a better price this is the place to be
It's going to take me a little while to like that kind of food
Great food!
It’s a cute place 🙂 we liked it overall
Great place for sushi 🍣 😋 👌
Their pumpkin curry is one of my favorite dishes! 🎃 🍛
I used to eat here every time I went into town, but the last two experiences made me change my mind. Pumpkin Curry used to be my favorite. There was a strong pumpkin flavor in the Curry, but in the last two orders, the curry didn't have any pumpkin flavor, just like red curry, and the pumpkin was so watery and do not have any pumpkin flavor.
Our waitress Kate is very unprofessional. I got free pot stickers sometimes and every time she serves us, she never asks us how we want our pot stickers. It happens at least three times. The previous waiter would always ask us.
This time still didn’t ask and straight bring us out the deep fried pot stickers, and when the fried dumplings were served, I asked Kate if they were fried by default and if I could have the steam pot stickers. Kate said to me in a not-so-friendly tone, “You have to tell the chef what you want for your pot stickers, and because they're free, they're not going to be replaced.” I used my 4 points on this “free pot stickers coupon” so I ate them, but the pot stickers looked like one that had been fried and kept in the warm box for a long time. The fried dumpling was not crispy, it was soggy.
The annoying part is when I about to pay I found out Kate still charged me $11 for that old, greasy pot stickers, but I told her at the beginning of the order that I had free pot stickers, and showed her the text message.
Also she’s not familiar with the menu at all. Asked her how much is the mango sticky rice, she said, “I don’t know, probably $5.99”, but then we found out that the mango sticky rice is $10.99.
Really like Benja, but I think I’m gonna take a break.
Thai food and Japanese sushi available.

Overall the staff was amazing and the food was delicious. Ambience is very peaceful
Sushi is very good. I just gave 3 stars because we have been there the last 4 years for all grandkids birthday and they always got free dessert (sweet mango sushi) but today they charged $ 8.00. Kind of a let down.
It's very painfull to have to give this 3 stars as the staff was very friendly and the food came out fast. My only issue with this thai restaurant is that everything was sweet. We ordered the beef salad, Thai yellow curry, fried rice, sushi, and some pad thai..... when I think of thai food, a rush of flavors (tangy, spicy, salty, sweet) all rush to mind. However, most of the dishes we ordered were on the sweet side with underdeveloped flavor.
The sushi was really good, so this review is obky is reference to the thai food.
Ordered mostly sushi. Playboy roll, Mama Mia roll, Bangkok roll. Firecracker shrimp, Drunken noodles. Very good. Will be back.
The food was amazing. There was no weight to be seated like their other location in the middle of St. George. The food came quickly. The waitress and other staff were very nice. Gave us our time and was there when we needed.
Loved this place was so welcoming and really good food
A popular place to eat. Food is gentle to digest, tasty, in a peaceful setting.
Speedy service and great good!
Great food, came out fast. Incredible service. Nene is an absolute sweetheart and I’m pretty sure she’s the love of my life. If she’s single, please let me know. Thank you!
A must visit when we're in town! Always amazing service and delicious food, can't recommend them enough, both locations are incredible! They have one of the best Vegas rolls I've tried and I love their Musaman curry 🥰
We are so thrilled that we stopped by Benja’s for dinner. Even though they were extremely busy, we were promptly seated and our server Jeanne was there waiting to take our drink order. You won’t be disappointed 🌞🌞
Love their Tom Kha soup and the Orange Chicken
Very food food, reasonably priced and great service.
The curries and soups are phenomenal!
The fish is not fresh or from a reputable source. I got the PJ roll and the Spicy roll and they were both stale and the fish tasted rotten. The staff seem to have no clue what they are doing either. The place was almost empty and we were waiting for 20 minutes for our server Francessca to come and take our order before we asked 2 different workers what was going on to which they both said they did not know and our server came to us 10 minutes after that. She seemed in a hurry and was quite short and rude, she forgot our entrees entirely and we only received them after we asked about them. Also we received someone else’s order of sushi and it sat on our table for about 10 min and then our server took it and gave it to the correct table. We wanted to return the sushi rolls we had gotten after trying only a bite, and our server only argued saying that it should taste fine and its not stale. The manager lady is a nightmare as well, she was arguing also and saying that its not stale and it tastes fine. She then told me she would take it back and take the sushi rolls off the bill. She came back and there was only $9 taken off of the $40 sushi order. Benja’s used to be so good I dont know what happened :(
I've been to both of their locations. Each location has a unique feel to it. The Washington location is larger. But, I haven't had to wait very long at either. The food is excellent.
Benjas is a great spot in St.George. you will be surprised by the quality of the sushi, and wide variety of great dishes. I like to ask the waiters for suggestions based on what I like and they like. There is constant variety and we eat here monthly.
Had Orange Chicken, Cashew Vegtables with Shrimp and drunken Noodles all were excellent! Our service was also excellent and love the clean nice atmosphere! Well be back!
Food was okay
We had a great experience here!
The food is excellent and well presented. The server gets the job done but could be a bit happier to see us. More warm and friendly like the food!
Get real
Lovely place with so many options. I’ll have to come back and try something else another time. I did have large hot sake, and the seaweed salad is the best I’ve ever had. I had two sushi rolls, which were OK. One was the sunset and one with the spider. But the lemon cheesecake dessert was phenomenal! And the service was perfect.
The place and people were nice but the food wasn’t great. The pad Thai and drunken noodles weren’t very good. The Tom kha gai was pretty good and the crispy tofu was good. Maybe other menu items are ok but the noodles aren’t it.
Tom Yum was so tasty and spicy. The Chicken Satay was cooked really well and the extra dipping sauce was great. We also had Pad Thai and Sweet and Sour Chicken.
We got take out so hard to comment on the rest but after a full day on the ATV it hit the spot!
Delicious food, fast and friendly staff. Very kid friendly.
Incredible Thai food. Some of the best we’ve ever had.
Benja's Thai is definitely not one to miss while visiting St. George. It's nestled in a quaint, historic looking part of the area with curved paths on the interior courtyard, wheelchair or stair access, a stunning waterfall and blooming trees. As we entered the restaurant, I also had the same feeling with an Asian flare. With no reservation at 6 pm we were quickly seated within 10 minutes near a window that overlooked the courtyard.
We were seated with full cups of water already on the table. It was a nice touch after coming in from a warm day. As an avid water drinker I appreciated the pebble ice.
We ordered the fresh basil rolls as a starter. They were large and cut in half with the basil sauce along with a secondary plum sauce. Each bite left your palate desiring more.
You cannot go to a Thai restaurant without ordering Tom Kha Kai with its coconut milk base and loads of fresh mushrooms. The flavor in each bite was like an explosion in my mouth and was it wonderful addition after eating the chilled fresh basil rolls.
For our main dishes, my spouse ordered the Musaman Curry with chicken and loads of vegetables. They allow you to choose your heat level and he chose a two. It was still rather mild, and he probably could have gone up to a three, but it was so full of flavor that he still loved it. I ordered the mango curry with chicken, which had chunks of sweet mango in the dish. I also ordered the heat to be level two and I thought it was the perfect addition to a sweeter curry. I wasn't sure if I'd like the sweetness in it and was extremely pleased. We were served a healthy bowl of rice to eat it all family style. Every dish was full of flavor without being excessively hot. We normally order Sushi, as it is a favorite of ours, but we just didn't have enough room in our stomachs. That will be a definite part of our order on our next visit.
The waitresses were all attentive, yet you had the feeling of relaxation when they came to your table. You could tell the restaurant had good management because our entire experience flowed seamlessly without excessive wait times. It was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be recommending Benja's Thai to all of my friends.
If I could give the food 3 1/2 stars I would and I’m willing to go back again. Food was slightly above average, service was great!
Not very good. The least flavorful Thai food we've ever eaten. Pretty bland. We got take out, ordered online, that was fast.
The pot snickers & mango Curry were awesome! The only disappointment was my green tea was a bag.
We stopped in on a Thursday at 6 and it was the quickest meal we’ve ever had! Staff was super nice and seated us quickly. Food came out in less than 10 minutes and was nice and hot. Apps were amazing. Orange chicken was excellent. The prices were great. We will definitely be back!
Fire 🔥
Nope, not the same Thai restaurant of the past! Lettuce wraps were cold and bland, no flavor! Miso soup was so so. Shrimp and veggie Tempura mediocre. Drunken noodles no flavor, bland!! California Roll was just bad!! I've had better sushi at Smiths in Sandy!! Service was also really lacking. Our waitress was mediocre! THIS IS NOT GOOD THAI FOOD ANYMORE! AVOID!!
My visit to Benja's in St. George, UT, was disappointing from the start. At 2 PM on a quiet Saturday, despite the dining room being mostly empty, we were coldly told by the hostess to expect a 10 to 15-minute wait. Her unwelcoming tone prompted us to leave before dining. We found delightful service and amazing food right across the road at Kaiseki, which made us question why we waited at Benja's in the first place. This experience was a stark reminder of how crucial a warm welcome is to the dining experience, something that was sorely lacking at Benja's.
Massaman curry is awesome! So is the Tom Kha soup and yellow curry. We've been there a couple of times and it's always been great!
The people were very nice but the service was lacking it wasn't very busy but it took a while to get our order taken. The waitress only checked on our table once before we left. The meal was good and average for Thai food.
Benjas is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I have never ordered something that I didn’t absolutely love! The service varies, but has generally been good in my experience. My favorites are the yellow curry, and the suki yaki!
The food was amazing!!
I LOVE the Red Curry (spicy level 2!) The BEST! (Posted a year ago) Went back last night and every single dish was incredible. Fresh basil rolls, Firecracker shrimp appetizer, salmon, red curry, Oreo cheesecake and mango sticky rice! I wish I could describe the flavors...you just have to try these unique and delicious dishes. The service is terrific as well.
We had nine people with us they acted like it was very inconvenient. And we all need separate tickets but she said they can only do four separate tickets. I've been here previously and loved the food and love the service but it was terrible this time. Even the food wasn't as good as it used to be
Way over cooked rice noodles. They were mush. Multiple inedible stringy pieces of asparagus in the asparagus dish. Don't plan on going here again.
They did comp the pad woon sen, because of the mushy noodles.
Had a great dinner with a medium-sized group. Another fun thing about Benja's is I ran into two friends in two separate groups, so it's a fun local favorite. My noodle dish was great.
Always love to come here. Food is always perfect!
All food is beyond delicious
I'm usually only here with a crowd, but the service is always quick and accurate. The food is great and the staff is helpful and friendly.
Scallops are the size of hockey pucks instead of those tiny ones you usually get from the places cheaper than Benihana. 10/10 would recommend
Anna is my favorite! I also have great talks with the busser, she's a hoot. 🥰 Food is always great.
The food is delicious! Whenever we’re in St. George, we stop here for dinner. And the staff goes above and beyond!! I lost my necklace one evening and called a couple days later and they had it. They held onto it for a few weeks until I could pick it up, and they had it safe and sound in the cutest box! Great people and great food!
Food is average. The best thing they have for being in utah is sushi. I have not had anything amazing. The place is clean, and service really depends on the server. Yes I would go again.
Service is fast and food is good
We love Benja Thai! The one off St George Blvd is definitely our preferred location due to the atmosphere but the yellow curry and orange chicken are amazing at both spots!
Benjas has been excellent for a long time. The best Asian food in St. George
Delicious food and great service! I definitely recommend and will be returning!
Enjoyed dinner here on a Monday evening with family at this beautifully decorated restaurant in St. George.
We shared a bowl of Tom Kha Gai to start. Very nice tasting and well balanced, though the amount of mushrooms was very heavy for my taste, it was slightly reminiscent of a mushroom soup. Overall one of my favourite dishes from the menu.
For my main I had the Thai basil beef, with a level 4 spice. I didn’t feel the spice level equated to a 4, but I prefer the authentic Thai level of spice which, if you also enjoy, understand what I mean when I say „it’s not necessarily for the American palate“. The flavour was good, the beef was tender. The rice- needs seasoning, unseasoned rice is always a disappointing addition to a dish.
A family member ordered the yellow, curry chicken and by all accounts was delicious.
The Thai tea was a bit on the sweet side but very tasty and completed my meal.
I love eating here as the food is always consistent, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the ambience a delight. We will surely return.
Sushi was good. Service was ok! Food was ok. Pretty expensive
Somewhat inconsistent in food preparation. Wish it was the same each time.
The food was not good. Poor quality, missing components, not fresh. I've even had better sushi from Smiths. There's other Asian cuisine places that are much better
So I ordered from Benjas over the phone and asked specifically for certain things because I like my food a certain way. The lettuce wraps rice noodles were soggy and not crunchy and I asked for extra and that they be packaged separately. When paying over $30 for a appetizer and a main course I’d hope to get what I asked for. Unfortunately that was not what was delivered to me. I will not order from them again.
Got take out from Benja and couldn’t help but notice, this place is awesome and reminds me of Thailand (or so I think Thailand would feel like, since I’ve never been)
“We” started eating our take out in the lobby and got weird stares, not from employees but from other people waiting for their orders. #sorrynotsorry
Went back to the hotel to finish the meal, not because of the judgy glances, but because soon after finishing, I went into food coma. You’ll see that I made two place mats in my photos, but that was to make me feel normal for ordering twice the amount for single patron. Yes I eat a lot, yes I can’t help myself, yes my spouse knows I’m cheating on them with food.
You will not be disappointed!
Great service, delicious food, this is what you look forward to.
Great Thai place! Come here a lot when I'm in the area
Potsticker apps were yummy. Edamame subpar. Entrees: many curry 5/5. And pad Thai- 4/5. Def more sweet than I was expecting. Spice level 3 was perfect for someone who wants a little spicy but still able to eat lots of it.
We've had many meals at many Thai restaurants, we love Thai.
But let me tell you, Benja is absolutely top notch!!! It's our favorite by far!
We have always gone here when we are in town. This time the food was not good. The teriyaki chicken and curry were watery. The food had very little flavor. It was a disappointing experience.
Great food great service a little pricey but worth it
Get the Tempura Calamari and the Las Vegas specialty sushi roll. So yummy!
I am quite the tough critic for food as everyone knows that reads or follows my reviews I'm a veteran chef of 23 years and worked at over 43 outlets in my life. For St George this is most definitely at the top of what is available for food especially when it comes to Asian or Thai food specifically. It is tasty and made for the most part in traditional Thai ways, with some exceptions mostly due to availability of product here.
Always a great place to eat. A little pricey but well worth it.
Our favorite place.
This place offers great food at a good price coupled with excellent service. This was my first time eating here. Lauren was fun and engaging, and did an excellent job serving our table. I love Tom Yum soup and found theirs to satisfy my craving. When I return to St. George, I will eat here again.
We really enjoy benjas. We usually go there once a month. The food is usually really good, but when it comes to the spicey level, it is inconsistent. We normally get level 3-4 and sometimes it's hot other times it's really mellow
First time we've tried this place and it was amazing! The food was great, the service was great, and process were reasonable.
Wow! I have never tasted orange chicken this delicious! So much fresh orange flavor! The firecracker shrimp was amazing! Lots of flavor and heat. The service was awesome, the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable, food and drinks were so good! I would love to return soon.
The food was delicious, I thought it was a great date night with the hubby, but the second I left the restaurant I started getting stomach cramping ( I am pregnant and I did make sure everything I ordered was fully cooked) the cramping got worse and I ended up puking every last drop I ate and it just kept getting worse, I got food poisoning. I am going to my doctor this morning and hopefully it did not harm my baby. But I have zero energy and felt like dying 😞 first date night in 6 months, and I got food poisoning.
If your food comes out extremely fast (which strangely ours did) be cautious.
