Curry, Pad Thai, Sticky Rice Mango, Soup, Fried Rice, Boba and More !!
Just picked up dinner and I am So sad about the yellow curry ... It was more like a soup verses a sauce. The Thai tea was amazing but this curry so so sad .. definitely better at Thai cottage in Pearland. What a disappointment!! I love yellow curry and was so excited about it until I saw it. Definitely not expecting this. I would come back for the Thai tea but not the curry
Stopped by this spot during a work trip and was pleasantly surprised. The prortion sizes were generous and all the food was tasty. I absolutely loved the lemongrass shrimp salad. This is not a complaint but a warning: their spicy is truly spicy! We ordered a 7 out of 10 and it was like a 10 at most restaurants.
Additional interior decoration has freshened up and brightened the appearance inside the restaurant. The inclusion of international snacks and specialty rice is lovely to have as someone who lived with easy access to such things for 10 years beforehand. Teens in the area and those interested will like having its small selection easily accessed in our rural area compared to a Houston day-trip.
Item’s I’ve eaten here are the cucumber salad, a glass noodles dish, the red curry, a fried rice dish and a salmon poke bowl.
I highly recommended the first three items I listed. Those items are nailed down, aside from recommending a reconsideration of the vegetables used and/or the vegetable cuts in the curries.
However, the fried rice was a bit less from my expectations.
The poke bowl tasted out of balance with its components. It was unfortunately difficult to finish and unappealing to reorder in its current form. But, please don’t give up on those dishes! I would love to eat a poke bowl again if they reformulate their recipe. (1) My salmon poke bowl was too sweet against awkward notes of smokiness flavors—perhaps in a sauce or the sesame seeds—and also against the vinegar notes in the rice. (2) I wanted more fresh, crunchy and crisp notes that can come from chilled vegetables like purple cabbage, cucumber and the Romaine lettuce that was barely already in the poke bowl. (3)The imitation crab was unneeded, honestly, in my salmon poke bowl. Especially in the amount I had. I would rather have imitation crab as its own protein option, able to have it by its own or in combination with other proteins like the salmon and tuna options do. (4) The salmon pieces/cuts were too big, making it hard to take bites of it with other components without overstuffing the mouth. Just cutting those pieces in half would improve the ability to mix other components together and eat those flavors all in one bite. (5) Lastly for the poke bowl, the entire dish was room temperature, removing a mouthfeel of freshness to the dish. Even improving vegetable components by having them served at a chilled temperature and fresh crispness like from cubed cucumbers would improve that freshness taste I wanted.
Tonight my husband and I wanted to enjoy some delicious food from this restaurant since our community raves about this place. I ordered 2 shrimp pad Thai and shrimp tempura with no mushrooms. My husband picked up the order and they gave us chicken pad Thai instead shrimp. I called and informed the restaurant and the lady acknowledged that she messed up. I asked if my husband could bring the two untouched chicken pad Thai for the correct order, the lady stated that she would have to charge the difference, but why charge me since it was her fault? I’m disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy our meal and would not be back. I feel that’s not good customer service.
This has been a fantastic addition to West Columbia. I hope everyone supports it. Ginger / and team are wonderful. Great atmosphere, generous portions, and the Boba teas are delicious.

Stopped in for lunch. The menu was large, but I chose something from the lunch menu. It was great. Lots of food, taste good. Dining in i was brought sauces. I will stop again.

Very helpful & friendly owner! Food cooked to order, they are not scared to serve plenty of shrimp & good size as well!
Amazing customer service and great food!
Best food around. Love this place so much
super awesome sauce and the workers are so nice and the food and drinks are so yummers
I really enjoyed the sushi here and they were really nice as it was my first time ever being here!

I give this an all around 5 stars. The service was so nice, the atmosphere is great and the food is AMAZING!!! I recommend this place and hope they get the business they deserve
Everything is fresh and cooked to order

I used to love this place but I think they have new owners now. I came here after Hurricane Beryl to get takeout. The springs rolls actually tasted like mold and I think they are serving old food from before the storm, not a new shipment. Very frustrated by this experience.
So glad there’s a Thai restaurant in this region! Kind service even when I discovered it 30 minutes prior to closing on a Thursday night. Tasty food! I had the chicken panang curry and the beef garlic pepper stir fry
Todo bien
I was so impressed with the Pad Thai with shrimp and Thai tea at Ginger Thai Food restaurant in West Columbia. Absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned. Fast and friendly service, too. If you have never tried Thai food you should give Ginger Thai a try. If you are already a connoisseur of Thai food and live anywhere in the Houston-Galveston area, the drive is worth it.
Highly recommend
Iced Thai tea yummy.
I placed an order to go. 1st time I tried this restaurant. I ordered the red curry with chicken and some vegetable roles. Both were very good and I have no complaints about portion size. Definitely have lunch tomorrow. The taste is very good and I will definitely order from them again. Plus I did order one of the Boba tea’s, it was cold and refreshing and had a very good flavor. I do highly recommend the curry and I will be trying the other types later.
Had shrimp fried rice and the wife had chicken teriyaki both were delicious. Would definitely eat there again.
The staff was really nice and made good suggestions. Food was seasoned appropriately and did not need extra. Spice wasn't too hot for me, but I was looking for the hottest Thai food, so I gave 4 stars.
The food is awesome! Menu is easy to navigate. Highly recommend!
Eating a $20 order out of take out container in the restaurant....Not my idea of atmosphere
I love their bubble drinks. Thier chicken pad Thai is probably my favorite dish. The food is always fresh and the people are always so nice.
Loved this little place. Never been here before and if it weren’t so far away I would be back. If I’m ever in this area again I’ll def visit. Highly recommend.
The Basil fried rice is the best I've ever had. Lots of flavor and can still be eaten with chopsticks.
Food was amazing and my spicy panang curry was amazing with perfect amount of spice in it and the boba is amazing!
Just happened to be driving down the street when I saw the sign for Thai food. I knew I had to stop and try it out. I highly recommend the Pad Thai with Chicken and an iced mocha Boba Tea! The staff was so sweet. I chose to dine in and I liked that the restaurant was small but spacious. Being served with to go plates was a huge plus - just put the lid on top when I was ready to go!
Their boba tea is my favorite, as well as the mango sticky rice and glass noodles!
The food is so good
The food was hot and delicious! The portion size is huge. The Thai tea is a real treat.
Me and my daughter came and get drinks here and there were great
We picked up food and it’s really authentic. The Basil fried rice with shrimps, pad Thai, and beef and broccoli were all delicious. Huge portions in a to go box (deep boxes not those shallow ones) with enough shrimps. The thai tea with boba complemented the thai hot rice 👍🏻
Amazing food and very sweet people! Delicious and would definitely go back!
Wow! I have had Thai but flavors here are unreal. Yumm!!! The Steak Salad is the bomb. The chef is from Thailand. Authentic Food. Reasonably priced. Top flavors in Brazoria County and definitely locally.
Shrimp pad Thai was excellent! Fresh shrimp rolls were good too. We will be back.
Great Thai selections. Kind of expensive though. The fresh veggie spring rolls, Dragon roll, Ton kha soup, Boba drinks, and red curry are amazing!
I’m new to west Columbia and wanted to try out a local business so I chose Jasmine’s Thai restaurant. I was skeptical at first until I walked in. The lady who I assume runs it was so nice and friendly. The price of my sushi was perfect, under 10 bucks you can’t beat that. The sushi was more than I could eat, due to it being flavor packed I ate it all anyways. The restaurant itself was surprising modern and really clean. Will definitely eat there again!
My first time eating and Thai food and it was great. Got the red curry medium hot and man that hit the spot.
It's great 👍
Amazing food, great service. Went in there and just told them to give me whatever curry they want to! Don’t remember the name of curry I got but it was absolutely amazing! Will be going back! Super sweet lady and great food 5 out of 5!!!!
This was one of the best Thai food places we have tried in Texas. My sister-in-law lives close by and it was highly recommended!
The sushi was great here, not cheap, but really good nonetheless 😋
Great little Thai restaurant with an excellent selection. Plus, who doesn't love boba?
The massaman curry was delicious, I practically drank it from the bowl after all the carrots and veggies were eaten.
Pad Thai was pretty good as well. Good depth of flavor.
Tom yum soup had nice complex layer of flavor, but was missing coconut milk. If you're a fan of Tom yum, just be aware that this is a brothy version, not a creamy. Loved the aromatics and it comes out piping hot so it'll still be hot when you get home.
Now for the not so good parts:
Not much seating for dine in. Definitely a takeout joint with a limited dine in option.
The curry is VERY tame. If you want authentic spice levels, you might have to special request it. I ended up adding a lot of Sriracha. Also, it's not a thick or hearty curry, it's very runny. I drank it from the bowl because it was like a soup. Again, seems to be in need of real coconut milk.
My shrimp was cooked to death.
The boba is made with syrup pumps. Ordering Thai tea boba is like getting a milkshake. Very very sweet.
Overall, was a pleasant experience, but I can't bring myself to rate more than three stars because the price was comparable to higher end Thai restaurants nearby. I could go pay the same price and get fresh vegetables instead of frozen, shrimp that isn't rubber, and hand made curry (I suspect this curry came from a bag. Correct me if I'm wrong)
I would have taken pictures but the food comes in to go containers even if dining in, and honestly, it's not photogenic plating.
Very good food
We ordered pad see Wu and it was super salty!!! I could tell if it wasn't for how salty it was, it would've been yummy. But I think they might have accidentally put salt in it twice. It was so salty that it tasted bitter.
When you walk in it’s AN automatic YES: everything is YUM!
Small restaurant with big flavor 👑
It’s pricey but their boba drinks and spring rolls are delicious. My husband ordered the teriyaki chicken it was very good quality and I got the pad Thai which was also delicious! Going back to try their sushi 😁
The food is delicious and the cook(owner) is really very sweet and customises all me need in out dishes. Good option for vegetarians too she can make fried rice without eggs upon request.
Sweetest folks, best flavors
The Broccoli beef and the taro coconut boba was fantastic
It was kind of pricey could have been better on the taste
I love this place! I think it's the best Asian restaurant in Southern Brazoria County. Everything I have eaten here has been so good and fresh. I get garlic rice with everything, and often add the shrimp spring rolls. Yum! The people here are always so friendly and more than willing to accommodate you. Prices are good and very quick service. Check it out, you won't regret it!
Yeeeeessssss!! We love this place, so fresh and the people are so nice! The beef and broccoli is delicious and the Pad Thai with beef is so good. My son loves the Basil fried rice with beef or chicken. Definitely eat here!
Daughter loves it!
ALWAYS AMAZING!!!
I love the bubble tea here!!! Always a refreshing treat!
Pineapple fried rice and spicy tiger roll are my favorites!
Omg this was my first time trying the place and loved loved it. Staff was friendly and good food
They asked if I wanted it spicy I said yes I would like it hot they said would you like it hot or Thai hot I said just hot please let me tell you it burn my mouth so I can only imagine what I hot would be but it was delicious!!
Bobba tea was awesome got the milk tea and the taro. Tasted great. Paid for extra bobba did not get extra bobba. First time having normal bobba pearls. Are they supposed to be tasteless? Still like just wish I got my extra bobba. Didn't give me a customer copy of the receipt. Will come again for the bobba tea. :)
It was yummy 😋
Expensive but good
Good food, nice people
Over salted beef and broccoli; counted 7 rather small shavings of not so tender beef ($13.95).
Over salted shrimp with vegetable; counted five large shrimp ($15.95).
Because of over salted dishes, I drove back to the restaurant and requested that the dishes be remade. They did remake the meals, but I believe (I could be mistaken) I got back the same shrimp and beef from the first making because they both tasted of the same over salting as in the first making. From the softness of the carrots on the remade dishes, I can tell that the vegetables were recooked. The two ladies I communicated with were nice enough, but the food was not good. In fact, the steamed rice was all we could really eat. The rest had to be thrown out. I wish them luck in their business, but I don't think I will be going back.
everything we had was delicious. loved the green curry. they are mainly a take out place right now because of covid, but they do have a couple seats. very friendly staff. so excited to have this great little place. finally some variety! definitely my new go to take out place.
I’ve eaten here twice and everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. Highly recommended!
Fantastic food, ready quick, and great prices. Probably the best restaurant in town
We have only been here 2 times and the food was delicious both times . We will definitely be back
Drove down from Alvin based on the reviews. Really disappointed. The food was good, but very small potions for the price. To be clear, there are only 6 seats for their "dine in". $2 just for a can of coke. Fountain, with refills, price for a single can. Might return if they become a real restaurant.
Legit amazing Thai food. Large portions and very high quality ingredients. Small restaurant for dine in.
A real surprise to find such a great restaurant in little West Columbia. They were willing to make modifications to the sushi, which we appreciated. The photos of the food were helpful, as I am unfamiliar with Thai food. I've been there twice, and will go back. Generous portions allow for a second meal from every serving. Desserts are fabulous!
Clean and food was amazing I’ve been there twice most definitely coming more often.
The food was delicious!! Some of staff members aren’t very good with English so do be patient nonetheless they were so friendly and checked up on us often.
I got a beef pepper and garlic stir fry (the angle is weird haha) it was sooo good and for dessert i had sticky rice with mango.
The place inside is small but very clean and cute. Would go back again for the authentic Thai food taste 😋😋
Friendly and the food was awesome we will be back at least once a week probably more lol great job
Everything was hot fresh and full a flavor try this place and tell your friends !!!!
1st time, don't know why we didn't try sooner. FOOD and SERVICE EXCELLENT, will go back over over!
Friendly staff and fantastic food. I'm hooked!
The food is horrible! I had the ginger salmon for $18.99 and its supposed to come with jasmine rice. When I got home and opened my bag no jasmine rice only white and the amount of food was comparable to one of those frozen dinners u get at HEB if u are trying to lose weight. The salmon was overcooked and dry with a strong fishy taste! Thats a no no when it comes to any kind of fish! The sauce was so salty I couldn't even taste ginger! I cannot stand places who "whoops" forget to give u something that goes with ur order because they know u aren't going to come back to get it. Jasmine rice is more expensive then white but I paid for it when I gave u $18.99 for a piece of salty smelly salmon. My husband had the beef and broccoli and said the meat was tough and his was salty too! Rip off place! AVOID
I've been here every week since I first tried this restaurant. Thus far I've tried the Prik Pow (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), Pineapple Fried Rice, Fried Spring Rolls (chicken), Khao Soi, and Pad Thai (chicken). Everything I've tried was delicious (the Prik Pow, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Pad Thai have been my favorite so far). The food is just as good (if not better) than the food I've had in Thailand. All orders have come out hot and tasted fresh.
You can choose your spice level here which is a big plus for those who like their food spicy (and those who don't). Be warned that the highest heat level can get pretty intense.
Tip: Be sure to place your order ahead of time as they can get backed up from all of the to-go orders and be prepared to wait a little bit longer for your food when they do.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some authentic Thai cuisine.
One of the best yellow curries we have ever had! So happy to have a tasty Thai restaurant in town! Highly recommended!
The food was delicious! I have been craving Kao Niew Ma Muang ( mango with sweet sticky rice) and they had it!! And it was the best I have ever had! The Thai tea is a must have! It was the closest thing to being in Thailand and experiencing the cuisine.
Excellent service. Friendly cute little cafe. I will be a regular.
the sushi went so good with pineapple fried rice no cap
