Owners often close down for travel back to see family in November each year about 2-3 weeks. Hard vacation well deserved.

the peeps working there looked like they hated staying opening half of a day, or not payed enough. every person in there for lunch, was rushed out. i got rude service, cuz they all wanted to leave it seemed. it was very strange being there and seeing other customer's reactions being rush-out also for lunch. meat was not good. sub-par. my female lady said the veggies tasted not good...

Best Calamari and Calamari roll me and my wife have ever had in our 30+ years of life. We try to come once a week just for the calamari roll! Also had steak hibachi here before and it was to die for, loaded with garlic.

First time ordering from here. Portions are small, we ordered a soup and it wasn’t even filled half way (it was $3! How much does it cost to make onion water?!), and the “salad” was brown! Never again.

So we made it here based on reviews. The place is kinda dark not so inviting. We were immediately seated, not busy. The sushi was ok, not 100% fresh for what I'm used to. We ordered Weatherford roll, rainbow roll and a third one i don't remember the name. I will say, The rolls are big. We ordered habichi plates (steak & shrimp) too. The filet mignon steak was cooked perfect however the amount they serve you is quite small. Reminded me of a child's plate serving. The veggies were good and cooked just right. Tender with a tad crunch. Very Small portion of rice too. The miso soup appears to be only watered down with no flavor. The salad is covered in ginger dressing which I don't care for. They should ask beforehand perhaps an alternative or no dressing. I didn't eat it but it looked fresh. Something that struck me servers are quite young. One server dropped some plates. They broke and shattered all over the place, there was scattered glass everywhere. She did not appear in a hurry to clean it up. When she did, she cleaned around her area only leaving glass pieces under tables and near our feet. I flagged our server and told her someone is bound to get hurt. She followed thru and clean it up. This really bothered me. So we went to pay, we put down our Amex card , the server says we don't take that. No signage anywhere stating so. What if I didn't have another card? Smh. Poor ways to do this.. So on the bottom of our tab. Recommended tips on the bottom of the sales slip starts at 30%. Ugh no I don't think so. I am good at leaving 20 % always and even 25,% but not doing 30, 35, 40% as they recommend. Sorry! While the server was nice. We had to keep asking for refills of drinks. My guess these young servers are inexperienced. I will say Prices are reasonable but they need to improve. The place needs a good cleaning. Wipe down even booths. Tables, chairs & even walls. We sat in a booth my side was by the wall that had old splattered food stuck on the wall. YUCK! Its evident the servers bus and clean the tables. They need some good training on cleaning and sterilization. They also have a patio area outside for seating. As we walked out i noticed broken beer bottles all over that area. No one sitting out there but broken glass bottles everywhere. Hmmm clean it up.!

Food was terrible. My son spit it out. It was either bland or over-seasoned. Prices were fair. Service was fine, nothing to write home about. Vibe was very meh, building old and dirty. Kids freezing. Will not be back.

Got a Orange Chicken lunch meal for $12 and got 5 pieces of cold chicken the size of popcorn chicken, a scoop of rice, 1/2 scoop of veggies, and a "soup" that was just a broth with NOTHING in it filled 1/4 of the way. Total rip off. You can get better quality and more food literally anywhere else in town.

We had a horrible experience a few years ago here and we decided to try again tonight 4/26/24. Immediately the vibe was negative and the servers acted like they hated their life and we were a burden. We literally just wanted a drink to see if it would be a fun place to hang out and the service ruined it within minutes. We will never ever try this place again. It used to be our favorite. Not sure what changed but it definitely for the worst.

Best sushi I've ever had. Plenty of variety for for every pallet

This is the 3rd time we’ve dined at this establishment. The drinks were not correct, the food was absolutely amazing, but all 3 times we have been double charged for our alcohol and had to bring it to managements attention. All 3 times the waiters have been sincere but the management seems short and dry. The second time we were nearly scammed the male manager was very ugly about closing time. We are the kind of people that love to go out and have no problem spending over 100$ for a dinner date weekly but I’ll tell you to save your money and go to Tokyo that’s 5 minutes away.

We had edamame, Rainbow roll, crazy roll, supercrunchy roll, Pacific roll and gyzoa, Really red roll. It was all delicious. My favorite was Gyzoa and Crazy Roll.
Service is not good. Water tastes like mud.

I had the unpleasant experience of dining at this poorly ran restaurant. The gray-headed grouchy owner raised his voice at one of his employees, seemingly treating them significantly worse than any of his other employees. Once seated and ready to order, I was hesitant about wanting to dine here, because if that’s how the employees are treated, the food cannot be any higher than subpar, and that assumption was correct, the roll I ordered was awful, it has no flavor and was improperly served.

Best sushi you can get for the price. Super California roll is my favorite.

From the moment we sat down, they couldn't resist staring at us as if we were extraterrestrial creatures who had just landed. Their unrelenting pointing and whispering added a touch of mystery to the experience, as if we were the subjects of some bizarre experiment. It's safe to say that I've never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant before. The sushi might have been decent, but the overwhelming feeling of being the star attraction at a staff meeting outweighed any potential culinary enjoyment. I would strongly advise anyone seeking a peaceful and relaxed dining experience to steer clear of this place.

Oh my goodness I cannot say enough about the sushi rolls we had and the most amazing steak and scallops cooked to perfection !!!

I have never in my life had a restaurant owner tell me that I am flat out wrong about how a dish is supposed to be prepared. We simply requested cooked scallops and he said "No, this is how they are served". Then reluctantly went back to the kitchen and brought out more "warmed" scallops.

There are plenty of restaurants in the area. I would recommend anything else.

Sushi was pretty good. Chicken fried rice was made different then all the other ones I've had at other restaurants. They used lots of garlic vs onions. It was good but I prefer onions.

This is a place we frequent several times a month and today went in to dine and although the restaurant was not busy at all the waitress would not set us in a booth, we let manager know on the way out the door we would not return again. Food is not worth being treated disrespectfully.

More food than you can eat I'm in order

Awesome sushi rolls. Huge rolls. I have been to many sushi places and this is one of the best. Highly recommend.

Rugged place, no hygiene. Amazing staff though! The food is very basic and bland. But the serving portions is the most disappointing thing of all, less protein than what you would serve a child. We felt a stomach ache after a few bites of sushi. Manager would not come out of the back. Don’t go here, Ginza is better.

Absolutely the best meal i have had in a very long time. We ordered several different sushi rolls and some of the hibachi and it was all excellent. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been trying to find good sushi in the area, unfortunately this wasn’t it. Sushi was mediocre and spring rolls were burnt.

Good Asian experience. A mom-n-pop asian style restaurant. Hibachi dinner is about $20 depending on what is chosen. Good sushi selection. Sweet and sour chicken is awesome. Filet was flavorful and tender. There is a full bar. Will be back.

I saw this place had a high number of stars and many reviews. So I was excited to give this place a try and brought my husband and children. The food wasn’t good and my husband and son ended up with food poisoning! The waiter wasn’t that great either. We sat there a long time with no refills. I would give 0 stars if it was possible.

Came here today for the first time with my husband and kids. Unfortunately, we left disappointed. The orange chicken was dry and the sauce tasted off. I also got an order of beef fried rice and the beef tasted off, spoiled or something so unfortunately we had to return that. Decided to go with regular fried rice no meat and it was ok however, we weren't impressed. The only reason I'm rating it 2 stars is because my husband said the grilled chicken was good and the weatherford rolls we got were good as well. Good waitress- was very attentive and refilled our drinks right away. Wish we would have had a better experience with the food though. We won't be coming back.

Awful service. Our Order was made wrong, when we asked for a correction chef was yelling and refusing to correct order. Waitress never checked on our table. Left with no refills, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered food to go. I ordered panang curry with chicken, a side of yaksoba noodles and spicy edema. The food tastes good but what you get for the price is disappointing. The curry was just chicken and green peppers and you had to request the rice if you want it. Just not impresses what so ever with the tiny portions for the price. Just not at all worth what I paid and the service was just ok. I sat at the bar while I waited for my order and the bar tender disappeared. Not a great experience and I don't see myself ever going back.

Salad was drown in dressing and my orange chicken was nasty my daughter had the garlic steak she said the steak was good but her vegetables were mushy.

My son who has sushi often said the scorpion roll was good however, the beef yakisoba was dissapointing. It was drowned in a heavy butter soy sauce with soggy, thick noodles. I was hoping this would be a good experience. The service was okay, nothing great.

Best sushi in Weatherford, by far!

The food was amazing but the waitress was not that great. Took 10 mins to get drinks ordered and a menu. She would barely come around Except right after we got our food. Then she came ever three second. Then once we got to the point of needing refills on drinks, the check or take out boxes she was no where to be found.

My advice is take out if you can. The food is AMAZING!!!! The service sucks.

We ended up not eating there, the staff, cook, and sushi maker, was very rude, I came in with my daughter and waited to be seated he yelled from the other side to sit in the round table, I asked if I could have the booth that was available he yelled back saying I said on the round table, after my daughter was upset and said please don't talk to my mom like that, you need to treat customers better we were leaving and instead of getting an apology for how he treated us he smirked and said OK bye. We will never return again

Here's the deal. The sushi is very good. Sake knows flavor. However, the five stars is so you will go and eat in hopes that the warmer more intimate vibe is restored from its previous location. I think the move, and likely, the struggle all restaurants had during Covid have set the restaurant back a tiny bit, but Weatherford is lucky to have this caliber of food at it's fingertips. Go there and eat.

OK not sure what this taste like yet but ordered 2 beef fried rice and a soup for $26.00. When my husband brought out 2 little side boxes I was like wow but I still wasn't too put off until I opened the little boxes and they were only half full. Ridiculous... I ordered what I thought especially with price to be meal and after opening the half empty side boxes we have a 26 dollar snack.

We went there to try the sushi. We got a rainbow roll and after one bite, we immediately could tell it was bad. Bad sushi is a danger! Hoping we don't get sick from the one bite we did take. The sushi chef acted like we were crazy and that there was nothing wrong with it. Please don't eat here, I would fear you would get food poisoning! Go to Gyoza- their sushi is always so fresh!!!

The sushi chef was yelling across the restaurant when 1 or 2 people would try to sit in booths because he wanted them at tables, and literally asked them to move — the restaurant was dead and he was sitting them at tables that had more seating than the booths.

My waitress was lovely. I ordered a sushi roll which was okay but the ginger had a strange taste. I also ordered the Bento Box and everything was kind of bland. There is an up charge for fried rice, but just get white and add your own Salt/Pepper/Soy! Also, the California Rolls they included were the ends and had almost no crab in them. Mostly rice with sesame seeds.

My husband, sister and I had dinner here last night and if I can tell you first impression was the worst! It took more than ten minutes to have anyone acknowledge that we were there. We ordered and the soup came out cold, asked the waitress for water, she ignored or forgot two times. Then the main course comes out @ 22.99 a plate, scallops and shrimp with vegetables and rice. Sounded good, looked and tasted terrible! The scallops were the size of a dime, shrimp was awful, worst than Walmart frozen shrimp. My sister ordered Sushi, she enjoyed that is the reason I gave this place a one star, should be a zero! I raised my concerns about the service and food before leaving and was told... “I was welcome to never return if I was that disappointed, it is what it is! ,” What terrible customer service!

The Lobster meat came in chopped little few pieces, I did not get a whole tail in one peace. The Jumbo shrimp where few. I ordered a salmon of their menu for $15.00. Left very unhappy and overcharged, not a good experience at this place...
