We gave this place a try because of the creative name. The service was very professional, insightful, and knowledgeable of allergies.
The Curry and Drunken Noodles were amazing. Great portion sizes, wonderful flavors, and nice presentation.
It's located in Union Hall. There are lots of options under one roof. Food court on steroids!
Clean bathroom and friendly faces!
5 star Thai food!
The cook here was friendly and very helpful. Let me tell you he can fire up your dish when you order Thai heat! I was amazing but you have to be a heat freak. Loved the pad kra pow and green curry.
My wife was had their food when she was on a work retreat in Waco. She came home and insisted we make the drive so I could try the food. So we drove from Austin to Waco just to eat here. If I’m being honest, it was well worth the drive!
The owners and staff are amazing and the food is so delicious! We’re vegan and they made sure to make the necessary adjustments to the dishes that we ordered.
If your local to Waco and haven’t tried their food, you’re definitely missing out.
Love the people and food! Pad Kra Pow is my favorite and it always smacks! So freaking good, shoutout to Ning And Chef for creating a memorable Thai experience here in downtown Waco! Will continue supporting them and keep wokking this way!
I stumbled upon Curry Up and Wok This Way in Waco during a work trip, and it was AMAZING! Our group received exceptional customer service, and Ning and Bank's warm hospitality made us feel right at home.
The Thai curry was hands-down the best I've ever had – rich, flavorful, Spicy, and utterly delicious. I was so impressed that I convinced my husband to join me on a return trip from Austin to Waco just to try it!
We ordered the curry again (it's a must-try!) and also tried the drunken noodles. Both dishes exceeded our expectations – the flavors were bold, and the quality was top-notch.
If you're in Waco or willing to make the trip from Austin (like we did!), Curry Up and Wok This Way is an absolute must-visit. Ning and Bank's kindness, combined with the incredible food, makes for a truly unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!
Too spicy noodles!!
We ordered Pad Kee Mao with medium spice level but what I got was extremely hot. If you’re not a big fan of crazy hot spices then I wouldn’t recommend it. But if you still wanna try it out, good luck! :D
We also ordered Thai style fried rice which was okay. Besides their service is good.
EDIT #2 - Final Review ———> I finally had a chance to try it last week. I ordered the Pad Thai and Panang Curry. To be blunt, Pad Thai overall was a 2/5. I wasn’t very impressed with the flavor, and the portion size was below average. The bean sprouts were terrible. I’m not sure if they were old or what, but usually they have a mildly sweet, nutty flavor and these were sour and tasted completely soiled. Nothing else stood out about the dish. Moving on to the panang curry…it was fantastic, which is saying a lot because I usually hate curry. It doesn’t have an overpowering curry taste like most Indian curry’s. It had an amazing, complex, flavor profile. I was extremely impressed. My girlfriend tried the drunken noodles, and much like the pad Thai, wasn’t very impressed. I really hope they improve their noodle dishes.
EDIT IN RESPONSE TO REPLY ---> I'm changing my review to 5 stars until I get another chance to try it. I don't think they deserve a 1 star review considering the circumstances.
ORIGINAL REVIEW ———> I called twice to place a to-go order, and no answer. So I figured they might be busy, waited 10 minutes, called twice again. Nothing. Very disappointing, because I was hoping to try this place tonight and support small business but unfortunately this small business is poorly managed. They obviously need to invest in a phone system and software where they can dock multiple calls while they’re busy so they can serve all potential customers. I’m amazed this business owner hasn’t thought of this already. I wish them luck and I hope to get an opportunity to try it in the future. Maybe they’ll answer their phone next time. Disappointed in their lack of ability to manage this business effectively.
I was very disappointed in my experience here. I do not like spicy food but eat a lot of Thai food. I ordered my curry without spice - which turned out to be too spicy for me to eat (runny nose, lips burning, etc…) I brought it back and mentioned it was very spicy. Their response was “that’s the way it comes”. 🤷♂️
To be fair, the offered to add coconut milk, but it was too spicy to eat. I feel like I wasted $20 and their attitudes were apathetic. I would not recommend and will not return.
I come here multiple times a week for the same order, and they usually never mess up because Phillip cooks my food and knows exactly how I like it. However, this time, someone else made it, and it came out horrible. I specifically always ask for no vegetables and extra chicken, but that’s not what I received. I also prefer it spicier, and it wasn’t. Overall, I had a bad experience today, which is disappointing since I spend $30–$50 every time I come here.
If you want your curry on the spicy side, be sure to ask. Otherwise, the curry is rather mild.
Best wok and spice level i have eaten in texas from a while.
Love the people and food! Pad Kra Pow is my favorite and it always smacks! So freaking good, shoutout to Ning And Chef for creating a memorable Thai experience here in downtown Waco! Will continue supporting them and keep wokking this way!
Great tasting food, but my wife and I both got a bad headache after eating there. 90% sure it was food related
The cook here was friendly and very helpful. Let me tell you he can fire up your dish when you order Thai heat! I was amazing but you have to be a heat freak. Loved the pad kra pow and green curry.
I love their yellow curry. I will literally eat just the curry and white rice as a vegetarian meal!
My boyfriend is obsessed with their food and goes on a regular basis

The drunken noodles are fantastic!

Worst curry ever. Tastes like pure, thick coconut milk. No other spices were detected. Idk how this place is still in business. Change the recipe asap
The pad krapow tasted pretty good though not authentic but it did not come with a fried egg as pictured on the menu nor did it look like what’s on the menu at all. Portion was also very small for the price. Not a good experience. Can’t recommend this place.

The flavor was good but extremely skimpy on the vegetables. The pad kee mao was almost all noodles. The veggie stir fry did have veggies but there was an upcharge for adding tofu. The peppers were dropped on top based on your requested spice level. Good but definitely not great.
Curry up and Wok has delicious and authentic Thai food! You really are eating food like Thai people do! Chef really knows what he’s doing! Thank you for a wonderful experience:)

Great food and excellent service. Curry was great
Love this place! Sign up for rewards and get discounts every once in a while. Definitely recommend! Food is so good!!
Wasn’t great didn’t have all the ingredients in the dish.
Food was very good with unique flavor profile
Had the Pad Kra Tiem made by Phillip! Delicious! Mild spice with Beef and Chicken. Can't go wrong!
My favorite is the Penang Curry and Pad Thai. Everything we have tried has been delicious.
Hands down best Thai food in Waco. Pad Kee Mao is my favorite dish they make.
Food was mediocre for the price. Nothing like the pics. Beyond disappointing.
The food is delicious (the rice just ok)... more rice please!
Food is really tasty i got that noodles with vegetables it was really good
So Expensive for a very bad food quality. 17$ for this dish
Ordered the Thai style fried rice with vegetables and it tasted like hot dog water. The absolute worst fried rice I’ve ever had in my life. The portion is also significantly less than any other Thai restaurant’s fried rice entrees. It’s more like a side of fried rice.
Got the chicken green curry and it was amazing! I was impressed with how fast it was ready, but they actually got the spice levels correct. Most Thai places around don't get it right and it's too mild. Chicken tasted fresh, the rice was perfect, and the sauce had a great heat but also a nice unique sweetness!
I’m blown away by the curry here. I got it Thai spicy, and it was as rich as it was spicy!
Customer service needs major help.
Food was delicious and worth that extremely bad service.
If the service was good, your place would be a home run
I sent you a message.
Phillip made a fantastic pa kee mow. super chill and generous. would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic thai food with good customer service!
Had a great visit here, and Philipp did a great job at preparing and getting my food out fresh.
phillip makes a very good pad thai his customer service was excellent
phillip was so amazing. he has amazing service and his food is on time and delicious.
Since day one, this place has never disappointed! Quality food, made with care, by folks who truly enjoy their craft. I am a regular customer and always enjoy my experience. Everyone is amazing and they all take pride in their cooking, but Phillip makes the BEST Pad Kra Pow!!!
Amazing place for fresh, spicy, and delicious Thai food! Seating is nice, air conditioned, and spacious. Ideal for any audience, and it’s veggie and vegan friendly!
The fried rice, curry, stir fried vegetables and Pad Thai were so delicious that I felt those food were not only satisfying my cravings with authentic Thai food but also detoxing and healing my body. Moreover, the owner, the lovely couple were incredibly kind and friendly to each and every customer they served. I saw an excellent chef’s spirit that I experienced back in my roots, Japan.
I have ordered here 2 times so far and it has been amazing each time! The curry is made perfectly. I love how you can adjust you spice level on everything! I get mild (2-3 chilies) just a little kick with the sweetness from the coconut milk perfection! Highly recommend!
I walked up to an empty counter and had to wait to be waited on. Now I know why there was no line. Poor service, inattentive staff, won’t try this again.
Food here was just OK. Pad thai was really dry. "Spice" levels is just dry chili on the side. They forgot one of our sides, too.
We ordered two dishes: green curry and pad kra pao. And they were not good.
Green curry: The top of the green curry is thick but the bottom is watery. The seasoning is ok.
Pad kra pao: This dish is a BIG FAILURE! Look nothing like the picture. And pad kra pao should have basil in it, this dish doesn’t. Poor seasoning and it looks like some boiled ground pork with rice.
Great spice with the panang curry
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Waited 30 minutes for food and everything was bland and looked boiled. Shrimp looked raw. The staff was rude. Not worth the wait or money.
Panang curry was delicious
Best Thai in Waco and not even close. Used to live in San Antonio and haven’t had an option for great Thai for 15 years. I have been here 5 times in the past 2 weeks.
Best Thai food I’ve had in Central TX! The owner, Bank, said he worked in a Michelin star restaurant in the Bay Area, and IT SHOWS!!! So flavorful and high quality ingredients. Panang curry and Pad Kee Mao are a must try
Food was delicious.
We love this place! Great food and caring staff. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in town.
Curry Up and Wok This Way truly stands out with its exceptional food and service. The dishes are a delightful blend of flavors, and the attentive staff ensures a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
On the spicier side but very good. Recommend the curry with chicken
I’m a food snob, so I’m always judging pretty harshly. For me, this is one of the best Thai restaurants, and perhaps Asian restaurants in general, that I’ve been to. I haven’t had one bad thing in the menu. On top of that, the owners are really genuine people. Highly recommend them at both locations.
Flavors were really good but it was too spicy! I ordered mild and I couldn’t eat it, which is disappointing because it was really tasty.
Food was really great and service was good and speedy.
Food was fantastic, very friendly and helpful staff! Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.
Had the Panang Curry and it was amazing! Mild was still a little spicy so keep that in mind when ordering if you don’t like a lot of spice! Definitely recommend!
We're craving Thai food while driving past Waco. Have no regret in stopping by this restaurant. I ordered Pad Kar Tiem Chicken. The taste was exactly what I wanted!! My family got Shrimp Fried Rice and Green Curry with Beef. Overall, the food was excellent and corrected the way we usually have in Thailand. Well done 👍🏻 We’ll be back again soon.
We ordered the chicken fried rice. The flavor was good but the rice was so mushy that it was like oatmeal or porridge.
You’d think they’d turn off their online ordering if they weren’t going to stay open during regular business hours. Who closes 2 hours early on a random day? Now I’m out $20 with no dinner.
The owner bank is very welcoming and makes accommodations to your diet . Will be coming back!!!
Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had here in Waco. Jacob made my experience so much better, and the food was absolutely amazing. Would go back
Atmosphere was great service was great food was amazing. What really made my day was the customer service provided to by Jacob I was having a very rough day and he took the time to check up on me and see me more a than just a customer. I really appreciated that.
love this place! Customer service is so great as well as the food here, Jacob is so sweet always welcoming and recommending new options every time I go!
I was helped by Jacob, he was very friendly, handsome and provided very good service. Would recommend 👍
Order Pad Thai. The tofu was overcooked and extremely dry. Vegetable’s were almost non-existent. No worth the money or time. I’ll drive to Temple for Mee-Boom when I get a craving for Thai. Still haven’t found it the Waco area.
I work nearby..... this was my 4th time THIS WEEK to eat the panang curry with tofu. So comforting on these cooler days and so filling. Juicy tofu, perfectly spiced. The guys working there always have a friendly smile...... keeps me coming back
I recently visited Curry Up & Wok This Way and have mixed feelings about my experience. While there were some aspects of the restaurant that I enjoyed there were also some areas that left me disappointed.
Firstly I must say that the ambience of the restaurant is quite pleasant. The interior is well-decorated with comfortable seating and an inviting atmosphere. The soft lighting creates a cozy setting which is perfect for a relaxed dining experience.
Moving on to the service I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. They greeted us with a smile and promptly seated us. The waiter was attentive and checked on us regularly making sure we had everything we needed. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive and they were able to provide recommendations when we were unsure about what to order.
When it comes to the food there were both hits and misses. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes ranging from traditional curries to stir-fried noodles. The chicken tikka masala I ordered was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. The portion size was generous and the chicken was tender. However the vegetable fried rice was disappointing. It lacked seasoning and the vegetables seemed undercooked which affected the overall taste. I also found the presentation of some dishes to be somewhat lackluster.
Another point worth mentioning is the pricing. While some dishes were reasonably priced others seemed a bit overpriced for the quality and quantity received. It would be great if the restaurant could revisit their pricing strategy to ensure it matches the overall dining experience.
In terms of cleanliness the restaurant was well-maintained. The dining area and restrooms were spotless and tables were promptly cleared after each party left. It was evident that hygiene was a priority which is always appreciated.
Overall Curry Up & Wok This Way provided a mixed experience. The ambiance and service were commendable but the food quality and pricing left something to be desired. Perhaps with some improvements in these areas this could become a go-to spot for delicious Indian and Asian cuisine.
I asked the guy at the counter what he recommended and he told me that he had just made the pang curry that morning and it was his favorite. I went with his suggestion and it was great! Highly recommend and would absolutely order it again. The staff was great.
I ordered their green curry with chicken and it was amazing. The staff is great and kept apologizing after someone picked up my food and they had to remake it. They didn’t need to apologize since it was not their fault. I can’t wait to come back.
Fantastic curry & fast service. Clearly 1 of the best places in the food court.
I ordered the green curry with tofu. The curry was perfect, as well as the level of spiciness. Also, a great value meal with quality ingredients. I'm trying the Panang next.
very disappointed in how downhill this restaurant has gone. This used to be my favorite thai spot but anytime there’s a chef cooking that isn’t the owner the dishes lack a lot of flavor especially in the noodle dishes.
I wish I could give the service more than 5 stars. The people were so kind and helpful here. Best Thai food anywhere around here! We got spicy fried rice and it was the exact spice level I would expect at a Thai place. Don’t get ballsy with the spice level here 😂. Authentic Thai flavors and fresh food. We even won a free Thai shaved ice because they were having their 2nd anniversary. All of our food was absolutely amazing. Side note: I hate the set up of union hall and if you’re not from here you wouldn’t know this place is inside union hall.
Great food the curry was amazing, had some dessert ice cream stuff that was great too. I would try the food without requesting higher spice level so you can enjoy the flavor and the talent the chef has.
Took nearly half an hour to get my food. When I got it, it tasted okay, but found some noodles with some white stuff either stuck to, or growing from, them. It looked like mold. I went and asked a worker what it was - "I don't know but it's not mold I can tell you that much."
So you're unfamiliar with the ingredients going into your dishes? Didn't think to ask the person who cooked it what the white stuff stuck to some noodles was?
Worker just turned away after that, clearly didn't care - extremely unimpressed with the service and sort of concerned I may have been fed mold. There's other options in Union Hall.
I ordered the green curry (coconut milk, eggplant, mushroom, bell pepper) a side of rice was the best coconut milk type soup I’ve ever had. I ordered medium spice. I know that if I ordered it with no spice that the deliciousness of the meal would not be lost.
Green curry was fire! I'm in curry heaven.. service was exceptional and very helpful. First time visiting the Union Hall in Waco. What a great idea. Would definitely return the next time we visit. Texas has been very good to us.
We have 4 excellent Thai restaurants in Temple. None of them have ever inspired me to throw my food away after a few bites. This Pad Thai is gummy and tasteless.
This is my favorite spot in Union Hall.
Try the Thai spicy level and you won't be able to have it any other way! 😉
Driving through Waco last week and found Union Market. Very cool place with unique food choices for all tastes. Curry Up was such a pleasant surprise with beautiful veggies and shrimp in my stir fry. I went with mild spice, which was plenty for me. I would definitely return 😍
Woah! I asked for spicy and 🔥🔥
I love spicy food but this one made my lips burn. Even as someone who loves spicy I'd have to take this down a level on the spicy next time.
Also, kinda wish there was more chicken and mushrooms on the plate but nevertheless it was good food.
Meh, average food. Lackluster customer service. The cashier wasn't Texas friendly.
Amazing food and great staff! The best curry in Waco, hands down. The Panang Curry is my favorite and the heat is perfect.
The blonde cook has no business being in the service industry. Zero service abilities, incredibly rude. Rolling his eyes as I talked to him and I could hear him complaining about my order while glancing back at me while I waited.
Would've refunded and left but was on a company trip with others and had to eat and go.
Don't expect authentic Thai food. Just a couple of American kids that don't care work here.
This is my favorite Thai place! I always get their green curry with chicken, added mixed veggies, and spicy. I'm sure their other food is great, but I just can't move on from the green curry. I have it almost ever week.
Curry Up & Wok this Way is a popular Asian fusion restaurant that offers Indian cuisine. Customers rave about the flavorful dishes, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The service is generally friendly and attentive. Overall, Curry Up & Wok this Way is a great dining option for anyone looking for delicious and affordable Indian cuisine.
We received a text with our receipt, and we were told we would get a text when it was ready. After 30 min I went back up to the counter and asked to confirm if we would get a text when it was ready and the guy laughed at me and said yes. After almost an hour we went back and our food was sitting out on the counter cold.
They only take card and today I was told they were out of red curry when they only sell green and red so how can you be out at 11:15am and they don’t change their gloves after they work with raw chicken which can really be bad only young kids work there that don’t care. Plus the last time I did get curry they charge 12 dollars and I got it to go and they don’t even fill a little cup halfway I don’t eat a lot and I was still hungry. But I will never go there again after I saw the raw chicken gloves used to fill containers.
Thank you very much for providing vegan options. The food was delicious!
Very disappointed. Food took 30 minutes and no txt message. We finally went to check on it it was sitting out cold. Servers didn’t care about anything..enough people back there but no urgency about anything. Poor service. Won’t be going back
It took more than 30 minutes for just one dish.
Reading some of these reviews……I just wonder if the few negative people have ever had authentic Thai food? Like have they actually been to Thailand and tasted what Thai food is?
IF YOU WANT Authentic Thai food, look no further….if you want some Americanized Chinese food with a twist of Thai flavors…don’t come here.
The Panang curry was PHENOMENAL!! Service was fast & very friendly!! You must try it!
Delicious 😋 curry soups, I'm from Austin. Very nice to find a restaurant with yummy Thia dishes. Yummy food
Always friendly service and fantastic food. Some of the most authentic food in Waco. One my favorite “comfort” foods after a long day.
I told the gentleman behind the cash register that I had no idea what to order. He asked if I liked curry and when I said yes he offered to give me a sample of the green curry and panang curry sauces. Both were amazing! I ended up getting the panang curry with tofu and I couldn’t finish it all but didn’t have enough left for another meal. It was delicious and I love that this place is set in a food court of sorts where my family could choose what they wanted and I could have curry!
Weak and watery. Lazy service.
This is definitely the place to go for authentic Thai food and where you would very likely encounter flavor profiles that are entirely new to you. When I think of Thai restaurants like this one was, I think about good quantity of food to fulfill one's stomach and heart. If you love spice all you have to do is ask and the pepper it up for you. I love this place.
Go. Eat. The spicyer, (spicier?) the better.
Had the green, red and pad ke maw. All excellant.
Ordered the green curry and it was amazing! Great flavor, veggies cooked well (not too mushy) and the spice was spot on. I'm so happy to find a local place with good Thai curry.
Very delicious
Decently priced for the portion size. The pad kee mao was pretty okay, although I am slightly biased because I prefer my mom’s.I was happy with the spice levels. I ordered the pad kee mao with Thai Spicy and I was pretty satisfied. The pad see ew was good, and I would like to give this place four stars, but I found a huge chunk of egg shell in this dish. I grew up in the restaurant business, so I know these things can happen, but the piece of shell was about the size of my index fingernail and very noticeable. I’ll probably order again eventually, but I do hope they take better care when cooking.
i wish i liked this place more than i did. the seasoning is good though it a bit salty for me. right noodles for drunken noodles, with cai lan too (but they put broccoli on the menu description). pad thai came with little dried shrimp as well. green curry is good, on the thick side for me.
my problem is that they charge extra for almost everything (protein, spicy pepper) but the portion is small. the cashier wasn’t friendly enough to explain to me about the add-on.
i would say if you want something close to real Thai places in bigger cities and willing to spend more, go here. at least the taste is right. bring your own pepper flake too.
Great food. This is well prepared good tasting food. The people are friendly. The food is cooked to order. You can't go wrong eating here.
Best Thai food in outside of Thailand. No compromises with the dishes we had. I live full time in Thailand. It is painful when some one suggest to go to a Thai restaurant when I am traveling in the USA. This great couple that runs it are Thai but been in the USA awhile. After speaking to them in Thai they assured me that I would not be disappointed. I was not. Order the Pad See Eiw. A great diversion to the traditional Pad Thai. The Fried Rice was just like at home, eating on a street corner in Bangkok. They are worth the visit insife Union Hall. We will be back soon. Thank you Bangk. Thank you Ning!!!!
Phenomenal! I showed my friend this place and they let her taste everything before we bought, just to make sure that it was to our preferred heat level and their tea was off the chain. Highly recommend!
No flavor, noodles over cooked and mushy, I'm from San Antonio where food is good. Save your money go somewhere else or just cook at home. I'm still waiting to find a good asian restraunt to go too in this town. Maybe I ordered from this place on the wrong day but the person I was with ordered something completely different and her food had no flavor either. We just threw it away and ended up eating that Midtown pizza from HEB in the frozen isle which I highly recommend.
I’m not sure what other reviews see that I don’t. This is an OK Thai place. Ordered coconut curry and pad Thai. **IMPORTANT** the spice levels are not accurate. Got medium spice on the coconut curry and it was 🔥. If you have no spice tolerance, ask for negative heat (sarcasm).
Other notes:
1. The sticky rice and mango is really tasty!
2. Pad Thai is just OK. Noodles were to glassy in texture and too thin, and 1/3 of the container was just sprouts.
3. Coconut curry sauce is good except the heat level is way off. Super spicy even on medium. Also, usually there’s more than just green peppers in this dish. Bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, and basil leaves would usually be incorporated.
3. The rice was not great.
We ordered the Penang curry and Green curry for lunch and both were super tasty 😋
Curry Up catered our wedding and knocked it out of the park! Everything was so professionally done, beautifully presented, & most importantly truly delicious! Our guests were raving over everything — especially the mango sticky rice spoons — and everyone was returning for seconds! 10/10!!
I had the Pad Ke Mao with chicken and it definitely met my expectations! The flavor was authentic and the spice level was good. I appreciated how, after I chose my spice level, the cashier told me how many Thai chiles it contained. I will be back again.
We loved our food!!! Literally the best thing we ordered from Union Hall. But what really closed the deal was that this was the only place that had fantastic customer service.
Ordered pad Thai, it was below average in my opinion. Eh. C+
I had the pad kra pow. Quite possibly the best thing these lips have tasted. I raved to the staff and they let me try the two types of curry’s. So amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
I love the restaurant. I love that they have vegan options! I will return! 🤩
Ordered a green curry from here spicy. The Flavor and spice was off the charts, incredibly tasty food, would order again.
Delicious authentic Thai flavors! I've been to Thailand multiple times and Curry Up has the most authentic flavors in town. I love ordering their Pad Thai and other noodle selections. I often will choose mild spice as I am not able to handle spicier foods but the spice always checks in and is willing to adjust as necessary to your flavor preferences. So thankful for the delicious options they bring to Waco!
Surprisingly flavorful! I got the pad kee mao with chicken and my husband got the stir fry with mixed vegetables and both were super tasty with the perfect amount of spice (we got mild). Would definitely eat here again. And the person who checked us out (blond, recommended Dichotomy’s coffee?) was super friendly. All around an A+ experience.
Got the red curry here (to-go) and it was great! Too bad they were out of Thai tea when I went.
I got the pad Thai. It took forever, there wasn’t anything really pad Thai about it…Not a lot of fresh veggies & small portions. The people working on Saturday were less then enthusiastic & I saw one of the guys spitting in the trash can in the back.. not a great sight to see while waiting on your order.
The Pad Thai with beef was not enjoyable. Most of the beef had too much gristle to eat.
Absolutely amazing. These guys know what they are doing. My wife and I eat Thai all the time all over the country and this is best we have ever had. We were in Waco for 7 days and ate here 6 times. The Penang curry, pad Thai, and drunken noodles are insane. They are so nice too! Just go, you can thank me later.
I’ve eaten several times at Curry Up and have loved every dish! My favorite is the panang curry, I’ve tried it with shrimp and chicken and both are delicious. The spice heats up quickly so go easy if you’re sensitive. The coconut cream definitely balances out for an overall great flavor that I’m happy to come back to. Owner and staff are the best too!
EASILY the best Thai food in Waco, I get the curry at least once or twice a week! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re truly missing out.
Live up to its name, Curry Up! —amazing curry and other dishes. The owners are sweet and caring individuals. Being Thai, myself, and quite picky about Thai food, I would eat there again whenever I have someone ready to come with me to Union Hall. I love and impressed of all the spice levels they have. I eat spicy so the highest spice level there was Thai’s Spicy, which was hot, but I wouldn’t made it any other way. I ordered the Panang Curry and impress with depth of flavors and, of course, spices. I know that if you come to the place it will be worth your while (and you might also be returning also) so give this cool place a shot or call to do ToGos whatever works, I’d recommend. I love that the owner are passionate about what they do and hope to introduce authentic Thai food and dishes name found also in Thailand. You’d get both great, fresh food and unique culture. And also no msg for some of you who may be wondering, so CurryUp and give this place a try! Hope this helps!-
Came in to exclusively try this place and it did not disappoint!! I got drunken noodles with chicken and a spiciness of 2. Holy moly I am in heaven. This place is amazing and is true to the curry flavors. Hubby got the mild panang curry with shrimp. He is also in love. Highly recommend!!!
This was our first time in Waco and we tried Curry Up & Wok as the first lunch out. The prices are typical but the portion is almost as half as much you would get from any Thai place around Houston. I like it coz I did not have to worry about to-go-boxes. We tried the Pad-see-ew noodle dish and Thai Fried rice. We got extra spice on the side. The Thai tea was good too. You have the option to choose between home milk or coconut milk for the topping. The service was quick and friendly and also gave us recommendations to check the city out.
The owners and employees are so kind and their food is phenomenal! Definitely recommend the pad see ew!
Fantastic Thai food!
The food is amazing! While there are many places to choose from in Union Hall, this is my go to! The owners are such good people as well. Highly recommend!
I dare say this is one of the best places to eat in Waco. Sooo yummy. Penang curry is the best with the vegan FROZEN Thai tea 😍 it’s a treat to come here
The food is delicious and well seasoned! Glad to finally have to a good Tai place in Waco!
Without a doubt the best Asian food in Waco. Don't bother with anywhere else, just go here. I've been three times and everything I've had has been exceptional. I always test an Asian restaurant with how good their chicken fried rice is, and it's probably the best I've ever had. Currently exploring the more traditional Thai dishes, and have loved them. The owners, Bank and Ning, (hope I spelled those right) are some of the nicest people I've met. Go support these great people and get some delicious food!!
Best curry in Waco, easily! If you want good food, don't bother going anywhere else. I'd give them ten stars if I could.
Best Thai food i’ve ever had. Owners are the nicest people you’ll meet
Best Thai food I have ever had! I've tried multiple dishes here (pad kee mao drunken noodles, fried rice, pad thai, panang curry, etc), and all of them are top notch. The chef and team are all extremely kind. So glad they are here in Waco!
It's good but I think its not spicy enough lol
Great food. Great people. Get the Penang curry!
This place is the best! We were in town from Utah and needed some good Thai. Curry up and wok this way blew our minds!!!!
