The food was very flavorful. I ordered the pad see ew with beef and a spice level 2 and a side of fried rice. The portions were smaller especially for the price; if I didn’t order an additional side, I would’ve left hungry and I don’t think I eat a lot. I also didn’t enjoy the amount of oil in the food, but again, that’s a personal preference. I plan on coming back to try more!
Got the crab rangoon, sesame chicken, and jasmine rice. First time going here and definitely won't be the last. Everything was delicious the chicken was moist and sweet with a kick to it because I got the number 4 in spice level. Everything tasted fresh and the lady at the front was very nice.
The last few times we visited the sulphur springs location, The red head waitress was very rude. she said she was tired and over worked after refusing to serve us around 7pm saying they close in an hour, when they actually close at 9. On one occasion, she Slammed our plates down. We were blown away and left disappointed about one of our favourite restaurants.
We went right at the beginning of dinner, place was empty and just starting to get busy. It took an hour and a half for the whole experience. This place is quite expensive, it is trying to cater to the middle-higher end clientele. I did not expect it. 15-20$ a plate. MOSTLY VEGGIES, 20$, or so, for MOSTLY vegetables. Wife ordered sesame chicken, chicken was COMPLETELY over cooked and dried out, almost inedible. I ordered noodles and spicy steak. About 35$. It was okay, but not the greatest Asian Cuisine I have ever had. It was very cramp inside only about 5 indoor tables, had very high hopes. Unless something changes, I probably will not be back. Too rich for the not great quality.
I was going to eat here one night over Thanksgiving . I walked in and the restaurant was dirty. Tables and seats had not been cleaned. Food crumbs were everywhere and tables looked sticky. This is a tiny restaurant so there was no reason to not be clean. The one person who was working couldn’t have cared less if there were customers or not. She was leaned over the counter glued to her phone. The back area/kitchen was dark so I don’t know how food would have been prepared. If the health inspector had gone by they would have shut the place down.
Read through the reviews and was curious to see a lot of first time reviewers commenting on wait times or prices. If you're eating out in downtown Sulphur Springs, this is great for price. $12-16 on average. If you're looking for good quality meals downtown at cheaper prices than that in this economy, unfortunately, you're fooling yourself. Some meat and veggie dishes look smaller because it comes with a big portion of white rice. Mixed together you get a good amount of food. Noodle dishes are massive and tasty. My family and I have tried 4 different noodle dishes, steak with peppers, fried rice, pho, spring rolls, etc. Never disappointed. Gives you a great change of pace from other restaurants in the area. Good for a healthier or gluten free/dairy free options as well! Also OPEN ON MONDAYS. Not just meat and bread. As for wait times, they're trying to hire and struggling to find people it seems. Theyre busy at meal times when ive gone and i see a lot of smiling faces, including the waiter who has a fantastic handlebar mustache. So be patient!
Small indoor space with about 6 tables but plenty of seating outside with heaters when it gets cold.
For quality, price, and flavor, one of the best international options in SS.
Went here on a Saturday evening with family and friends. The space is small but clean. My husband enjoyed his pepper beef and my kids enjoyed their orange chicken. Sadly, my pad Thai (not pictured) was too sweet for my taste. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes.
I had the pepper steak with steamed Jasmine rice, which was excellent. My friend had the chicken salad, which was lacking in flavor a bit. We had the pork riblets and lao heavenly beef jerky appetizers. The riblets were excellent along with the sauce. We both thought the jerky itself could have used just a tad bit of seasoning. The sauce they served with it was even better than the riblet sauce over all the food was good just not overwhelming. The location used to be a wine bar with a fenced courtyard. The fence has been removed. The waitress was hustling as she was the only waitress working, and there were three other groups there. It's a nice restaurant. I like it it beats all the "chinese" food places in town.
Our first time to eat here and we absolutely loved it! We ordered steamed pot stickers, Thai Spicy Basil w/chicken and fried rice, Orange Chicken with steamed rice. The food was fresh and delicious! I loved that they offered plain tea in addition to flavored. Service was quick, staff were friendly! Must try for sure, a hidden gem, we’ll be back!
All around great food and great and fast service! Highly recommend eating here!
We were excited to find a restaurant that serves both Lao and Thai as my friend is from Laos. What a disappointment to arrive at 3 in afternoon on Tuesday to find the door locked.Young lady did open and let us in however,we could plainly see the place was filthy even with the lights off.Everything was disheveled right down to the ripped up couch and dirty tables. The two women working were completely unkempt and started spouting woes about needing rides and taking breaks. It was completely bizarre. We decided to go elsewhere. Upper Management would do well to visit and overhaul this location.

Great Thai food!
Food is over priced for the portion size. Didn’t even get our drink with our food. But the waitress was friendly
Excellent. Never disappoints. If you do take-out, it is super fast!

Really good food
Been here a few times and highly recommend the food and atmosphere!!
It's OK. Server diligent really check on us. I had to get up to get a refill on my drink. Had to go up to see if our to go order was ready. She just didn't seem to care whether we were there or not.
I can't rate this location. We tried to go to eat here but unfortunately we couldn't find it. A more visible sign would be great. This is important for visitors who are in an unfamiliar area.
An absolute gem, especially for this area. I hope the community supports this bc there’s nothing around for 100 miles like this

Good food. Not exactly what I'm use to but enjoyed it. We will be back.
Got the crab rangoon, sesame chicken, and jasmine rice. First time going here and definitely won't be the last. Everything was delicious the chicken was moist and sweet with a kick to it because I got the number 4 in spice level. Everything tasted fresh and the lady at the front was very nice.
Excellent Pho!
Hi I'll stary by saying that this place is great front end is very nice have never had a bad experience. The only place around her that actually brews there Thai tea witch is great.
Only problem is . There fried pot stickers arnt actually fried. I ordedd them a couple days ago and they were soggy and rubbery with no crisp. I called and they have me a remake for the order woth no problem but when I got them the next day they were rubbery aging and the edges were tough like they were old and were microwaved. The store was empty so the excuse not to make them fresh was not there
All around great food and great and fast service! Even the kids meal came out before our food and it was still good as all get out! Highly recommend eating here!
This is a great little gem of a place. I had the Thai Spicy Basil and my wife had the Red Curry. Both were really good. I would post pictures, but we liked the food enough that we forgot to take any.
The food is great but my order never seems to be right. I ordered off door dash tonight and paid for 2 extra sides of veggies and they were not included with my meal, and they sent the order out with zero steamed rice. The dasher has to go back and get the rice and I wish I had looked at the main entree to realize the veggies I paid for weren’t there either.
This restaurant is wonderful yes it’s a little small and the parking can be a bit of an inconvenience but it’s so worth it! The service was absolutely amazing we had miss lily for a server it felt like we were at home and like I had known her forever she was so sweet and kind and even took time to explain things I ordered the pho noodles and a orange chicken and rice I highly recommend the flavor was amazing everything was on point I know everyone has their own opinions but the pho was so good I won’t get it anywhere else. Shout out to the gentleman in the back doing suck a wonderful job thank y’all so so much. I hope this review helps don’t be shy go try the food it’s absolutely worth it and if not for the food the service 😌
Small indoor/outdoor venue generally good Thai/Lao dishes.
How do you serve curry without rice? Just how? The curry should automatically come with rice.
Best food on the square, courteous ppl, food is flavorful, & such beautiful decor.
Our first time to visit, we stopped at about 4:15 in the afternoon, and tried out the place. The service was excellent, our choices on sauces and spice levels were explained well. We started with 2 appetizers, the egg rolls , and the fried pork riblets. Standard pre made. Egg rolls, most of the riblets were over cooked, tough to eat.
Our meals were ok, we had the Thai spicy chicken, and the pepper steak. With a side order of fried rice. If that was their standard fried rice. I would not recommend it. It looked like the Jasmin rice I sent back was thrown on the grill and cooked with soy sauce. No flavor and no other ingredients in the rice. No veggies, no eggs, nothing just the $3.00 upcharge for substitution.
We will give it another chance one day during dinner hours to see if that was a bad day.
But honestly I'm not going to be in a hurry to go back.
Again great service nothing against the young lady that waited on us. Issues are with the product being sold. ( The Food )
It's a very good place, wish they would have more meaty menu items and have a thing of soy sauce on the tables.
Me and my boyfriend went to this restaurant today, and everything was phenomenal! The food was incredible. From the fried rice, to the Pad Thai.
Then we had the pleasure of having Lilith ( Lily ) as our server. From one server to another, she is one of the best! She was fun, attentive, and one of the sweetest people I’ve met.
We’re definitely coming back to see her and enjoy the rest of the menu!
Called to place a to go order and was asked to hold, 8 minutes later I hung up and placed my order online. Absolutely no in the restaurant when I went in to pick up my order, except the waitress ducking down behind the register talking on her cell phone. Had to turn around go back when I realized my order was missing items, the waitress starts tossing and banging things around obviously pissed off. I guess I interrupted her call by asking her to do her job. Crab Rangoon and egg rolls were burnt.
Fantastic food and great service!
The food here was amazing! Lilly was a delight. Looking forward to coming back.
Everything was excellent but very small and I was setting arm distance from the restroom door.
I ordered Tom Kha soup w pork and Yellow Curry w shrimp. Both were amazing. The Thai tea was also good. What the restaurant lacks in atmosphere it compensates in quality. So nice to find this good of Thai food outside of DFW.
Great food, I jad the drunken noodles are outstanding, the heat was perfect, my wife had the yellow curry she loved ias. The staff was fun and very nice. We had a good time with good food. I would say it is the best place to eat in downtown Sulphur Springs.
Food is wondering. I recommend the Pad Tai pork.
We love the food here but the owner needs to step up and do something about the dirty tables it was a lovely day to dine outside. Get a power washer for the staff and clean up ! They were even embarrassed by the way it looked. The owner needs to be more involved. Manager was great !
service was good ,food was excellent,Loved the atmosphere, my daughter and I LOVE it!
This place is amazing. I go there everytime I am in Sulphur Springs. They need to put one in Winnsboro!!!
Wanted a low key dinner for myself and I always enjoy Thai food. I knew when I walked in the door that I probably picked wrong. It did not have any indicators of a traditional Thai restaurant. I would have snuck out but…there’s only 6 tables in the whole place and I was standing in the middle of them all. There were 3 of the 6 tables occupied so I thought maybe it’s not so bad. I sit down and order red curry and Thai tea. The tea was what I expected, but the curry was rough. It had an overwhelming tomato flavor and a chalky aftertaste. It did not have any sweetness from coconut milk at all. I really enjoy the sweet and spicy of red curry. This was not curry. There was a young man vaping right next to me, not the end of the world, but I wouldn’t do it. I’m not a resident of Sulphur Springs so I am not sure what is allowed or socially acceptable. Just didn’t seem like the place for it in such a small restaurant. I couldn’t tell if he was an employee or just hanging out. The server was very nice but definitely reflected the “laid back” attitude of Sweet Rice. May be a cool chill spot for young people but not what I was hoping for when I decided on Thai food.
This place isn't going to be here for long. Their card machine is constantly down, but they don't tell you that before you drive 30 minutes to pick up your food. Very expensive for the low quality food. Servers and cashiers are kids who are stoned out of their mind and incapable of providing quality service.
The food is delicious. The last time I ordered from here though I did a level 3 in spicy and could not even eat it because it was so 🥵
Great little Thai restaurant. We ordered the curry chic and sesame chicken. #4 spicy heat. It was plenty spicy! Everything was tasty and fresh!
Very cute restaurant. Lots of flavor and our #4 spiciness was super hot...
service was great our server attended us great she did amazing recommend!
The food here is actually great! Friendly staff! I qould absolutely bring friends and family here!
Their food is consistently good, and traditional Thai... I do wish that they would have some peanut sauce dishes and perhaps some satay. Servers are always very friendly and attentive the atmosphere is very laid back I enjoy sitting outside on a beautiful evening.
Mercedes was the best waitress anyonencould ask for. She was super sweet, amazingly responsive, and made the visit perfect. The food was great, made fresh, and super delicious. Definitely tell her hello if you come in, your day will be better for it.
We ordered Spicy Basil Chicken and Pad Kee Mao Chicken with spice level 6. Both were really tasty and we were surprised to have a tasty Thai food in a small town like Sulfur Springs. I would recommend Sweet Rice Lao-Thai if you're passing thru Sulfur Springs. The historical court building is amazing and the downtown ambiance reminded us Santa Fe. Very beautiful with live music on Saturday and we missed the street market.
Had the Thai Fried Rice with chicken. Very good - A+
We ate there today. It was delicious! Great service on top. Yall need check this out!
Both dishes ordered were great.
Yellow curry chicken and chicken Thai spicy basil
Great Lil gem! Nice to have good curry in Sulpher Springs! We have been there many times! Yum!
Went here on a Saturday evening with family and friends. The space is small but clean. My husband enjoyed his pepper beef and my kids enjoyed their orange chicken. Sadly, my pad Thai (not pictured) was too sweet for my taste. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes.
Yes, the spice level 5 is spicy…and it’s perfect!!!
I love this place for lunch. The food is great and the staff is very friendly.
We had a yummy lunch here yesterday! The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the restaurant was adorable. Thank you, Nita, for the great food recommendations. Having never eaten Thai, I relied on the waitress to recommend her favorite dishes. I will definitely be back!
I came here with my dad today and the food was amazing was not busy at all.
Our sweet waitress was very kind and attentive. She related to the chef our desire for little to no oil. The chef accommodated our request and we had a very refreshing, uniquely tasty meal. We both finished our plate. The menu items are titled as meat dishes but the small print explains they will substitute tofu or veggies for a vegetarian meal. The prices are so affordable.
Me and my twin went here today and I had never had Thai food in my life! Waitress was nice and was very helpful and actually excited to offer us recommendations after we asked. Food was delicious and we had a good time there. I will definitely come back!
Food very expensive! It cost right at $50 for my wife n I. Will not be going back. Food was not fantastic! Panda is cheaper and lot better tasting,
Driving from Little Rock to Dallas. Stopped for gas and got out my phone to see if Thai in the area for lunch. Feel like I really lucked out. Great food. Great service. Definitely will keep this in mind in the future!
Great food you have a choice on heat level 1 to 5
All the food is amazing, but the red and yellow curry at spice level 3 is my go to!
Went out without kids, like something different.
I had curry and dad got Pad Thai. They were both so flavorful some of the best food I have had.
Super grateful to have this place in Sulphur Springs!
Feels like a home cooked meal
High quality Thai food. Good service, wish to live closer .
Great location, super nice staff and the Red Curry is A++! Definitely recommend!!
Great food and pleasant atmosphere. The orange chicken was outstanding as was the fried rice and lemon chicken. This is a wonderful surprise.
Best combination fried rice I’ve ever had. Fast, friendly, and excellent. Thank you!
Had a great experience. Good food, friendly and fast service, menu with a nice selection of items, and reasonably priced. Will be back to try more things on the menu.
First visit today and I was impressed. Our server was Avery and he was fantastic!! Great and quick service. Food was good. Will definitely visit again.

Food is excellent! Service is good.
Ordered take out and the cashier was friendly and helpful. It only took about 20 minutes for 3 entrees and sides. I’ve tried lots of Thai food and thought this was very tasty. We got the yellow curry, Pad Thai, Pho, vegetable spring rolls, and it was all delicious. I’m so excited to have this great dining option in Sulphur Springs!
This place is really good! The service and the food is amazing! You can pick your own spicy level and a good variety of choices!
Second time back for egg rolls to go, second time getting home with egg rolls and no sauce. Not a fan of dry egg rolls.
Overpriced for the low quality “ Thai food” recently moved to ETX from Fort Worth and compared to cheaper and much better places that I’ve been to. This place is just making a quick cash grab. Won’t be there long I’m sure. Save your money & go somewhere else.
So, so, so good!
Food and service more than makes up for minimalist atmosphere.
A true hidden gem, tucked away in a small crevice of our little town.
Was excited about trying a new place. I was the 3rd customer at lunch. Ordered then sat there for twenty minutes w/out having the server come back. Got up and left. Not a good way to treat someone on their FIRST visit.
Fantastic pad see ew and house fried rice. They can do spicy and mild levels of spice perfectly. Staff is sweet and there’s plenty of cute outdoor seating. A+
Waiting for our food for about an hour ended up taking to go just because we felt bad about canceling the order.

The service and food presentation was great. Next visit I will try the Curry soup or Tom Yum and Chicken wraps! We went with a group and tried a variety of dishes. The pad thai (level 2 heat)and combo fried rices were tasty. The ribs appetizer were crunchy and flavor packed. The pepper steak was good. The chicken thai basil ssuce was flavorful (lots of cute babymushrooms).
The food was delicious and service was great. Finally, a place in town that has Thai tea!! If you haven’t been go!
Great new option in Sulphur Springs. Really fresh flavors. I ordered my curry extra spicy, and it did not disappoint.
Recently opened Thai food! The lunch portion Pad Thai was plenty of food and the Lettuce Wraps were very tasty. Spice level was 4 and it was spicy but flavorful. Kelly was our server and she was great. Will be back to try everything eventually.
