Easygoing strip-mall eatery featuring a menu of mainly Thai & Japanese specialties plus sushi.
This is my first time stopping by Basil Cafe. It was the beginning of a new year so I wanted to have something healthier, so I picked this place to go while errand running. I ended up ordering the Thai curry chicken with pork gyoza and side salad. The salad had a wonderful pureed onion vegetable dressing, the gyoza was seared on one side with a sweet soy sauce on the side. The Thai curry chicken bowl was the Superstar of the meal. It's very big so can certainly fill you up just on its own but I wanted to try their appetizer too. Lots of fresh vegetables in both the salad and the curry Thai chicken, I was delightfully surprised and happy, it exceeded my expectations as far as the sauce. The sauce has a light spice, is creamy and has that nice curry flavor to it. It's very rich and smooth with fresh vegetables and white meat chicken. The atmosphere is above average as far as romantic atmospheres go, with upgraded modern dark wood, dimmed lights and a nice cute little sushi bar. The seats were cushy and comfortable. There are lots of options to choose from for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Overall it was super yums.

Food is okay - it’s a vegan option just like any other Asian cuisine place but the service is even worse. The first couple of times I came here by myself and with my husband were great but when I brought my small children, we were ignored and had to flag down the server every time we needed something rather than waiting for her to come every few minutes. This was all while every other table with adults only were being waited on hand and foot. I decided then that I would only eat here if it’s takeout and I wasn’t impressed. 4/6 of my cucumber rolls were unrolled completely and falling apart by the time I got them and my house salad was 99% greens with literally one tomato and 1/30 of a cucumber slice. The fried rice was almost flavor-less. Rockwall already has such limited vegan options and it just sucks that this place doesn’t put that much care into their work. Please do better.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Basil Cafe in Rockwall, TX, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was charming, the service impeccable, and the food, simply outstanding. One dish that stole the show was the Angry Dragon Roll, boasting a delectable combination of lobster, caviar, and spicy crab mix on top. Each bite was a burst of flavors that danced on my taste buds. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting Basil Cafe. Highly recommended!
It was my first time visiting the restaurant even though I have lived in the area all my life. The food was really good and our hostess Jennifer explained the differences between the noodle and rice types and sushi ingredients which helped me choose an option. I was very pleased with the experience overall and the athmosphere is very calming, good for a nice, calm dinner after a busy day of work. Will definitely be visiting again.
This is an awesome place to enjoy Asian cuisine. I love the atmosphere and the abundance of the dining experience. My best friend and I enjoyed just all kinds of entrées. The menu is so beautifully displayed that it's like the food jumps out of the pages. We had an awesome waitress!!!!They played great music, which accompanied the delicious food they served. Basil Cafe owes me nothing!!!!
Super cozy spot, warm and friendly,
Garlic edamame and filet minion app is great, boat lovers for two was filling for 2 people with plenty of fish assortment, every piece was full of different flavor and tasted fresh it was served with a salad or soup she got salad i got miso soup and they were both good, then I wanted one more roll my lady was stuffed but I wanted 1 more the ocean man was recommend by the waitress and did not disappoint. Highly recommend for a nice date or lunch.
Received to go order and opened package and noticed the portion size wasn't as expected from past orders. Taste is great but not worth spending so much for the soysauce packet to be the same size as the container the food was in. Disappointed because i really liked this place!

Really nice area, and food was pretty good and sushi and shrimp was really good 9/10 place
Awesome food, service and ambient
I love the hotplate, pad see ew, fried rice, etc.
The salads are fresh and tasty.

We just ate here today for the first time and it was amazing. From the soup to the appetizer to the chef specialty rolls. This is my new favorite sushi place. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Quiet, welcoming atmosphere with the best sushi this side of the lake, hands down. Staff is extremely kind as well

Very good and fresh
My family loves Basil cafe! Typically Asian restaurants are not as known for their services. But every time we visit Basil cafe, we are impressed by them. They are super friendly and easy to talk to. Then it is the food. My kids love Ramens from Basil cafe, they are delicious. My husband and I love they have a large selection of food choices. I feel every time we come, we found something we love. Definitely highly recommended!
Absolutely fantastic! My husband and I have been looking for a new sushi resturaunt since we left Dallas and I think we found it here! You can taste the freshness of the fish, even the soy sauce that they offer is excellent aged soy sauce not gross American kikoman, they gave us fresh wasabi with our lovers sushi boat which was a treat, I had heard it was very different from Wasabi paste which is mixed with horseradish and got to compare the two as they also gave the paste version, definitely prefer fresh wasabi it has so much more flavor! We also had an appetizer of the Indian pancake which was tasty, and I had a Thai tea which was absolutely delicious and perfect! We are sushi lovers and will definitely be back!
The food here is always great, the staff is always wonderful and this place is always clean.
absolutely amazing service!!! waitress was very attentive & all the food we ordered was delicious. definitely recommend their karaage appetizer
Excellent service and atmosphere.
Super mid
The lady with an accent who answers calls has absolutely no manners and is just plain ignorant and rude. There are no other words to better describe the way she talked to me and honestly I am appalled. I haven't tried the food but I don't even wanna think about trying this place anymore or recommending due to the horrific manner and lack of communication skills of whoever answered the phone.
I had canceled my Uber eats order only about 1-2 minutes after placing it but was still charged for the whole meal. I called Uber eats and was told to call the restaurant with my order number and tell them that I will pick it up and I will not be charged extra since I was already charged the whole thing for cancelling. I called the restaurant and explained my situation. The lady told me I'll have to pay again but with an attitude "if you call to make an order, then you have to pay"...as if I don't know how a normal takeout order works. This is just one example of the things she said. I was only doing what I was told by Uber eats and she could've been just a little more polite about it all.
I ended up having to do a 3-way call because they wanted to confirm the restaurant hadn't started preparing the meal yet when I canceled and the lady answered "you cancel the order - there is no reason for us to make your food." ... lol my goodness. They just wanted to confirm that the order was not started on that's all...
I usually don't even leave bad reviews unless I have truly bad experiences and I just wanted to let the restaurant know that's not how you talk to someone especially if you're the one wanting to stay in business.
Usually not a fan of shopping center restaurants, but this place is different. The staff is friendly, atmosphere is quaint, and the food is good. Currently am on a Pad Thai kick. Unfortunately, it can be very hit or miss. When it hits it HITS, but when it misses it is sadly off. It is either wayyy to spicy at times or on the other end very bland and forgettable. It appears that their weekend cook is better than their evening cook. Hopefully the taste of the dish normalizes.
Sabrina personally brought us our food when our DoorDash driver couldn’t make it. She was SO SWEET! We love this place and the food is amazing. I cannot recommend this plane enough 💕
Good lunch spot that I’ve gone to for sushi and dishes in the past and now they’ve started including REAL fresh-grated Wasabi (as opposed to the horseradish wasabi you normally get at 99% of sushi restaurants) with their sushi boats! Tasted great and will definitely be coming here more frequently!
Delicious ideal for a date or family meal the place is very nice.
Excellent food!! Has to be one of the best Salmon Curry dish around!!!! Husband ordered the Veggie Hibachi and is absolutely delicious!!
Super cozy spot, warm and friendly,

Ordered take out: sushi platter, a roll and tofu pad see ew. Food was pretty good, however important detail: the tofu pad see ew had chicken in it.
Awesome place. Don't think twice . Everything here is good 👍
Great place. Awesome food. Reasonably priced. The quality of food is top notch.
Great place, great food, dine in or take out. Our favorite place for sushi in Rockwall. Love the gyoza, Angry Dragon Roll, and the edamame. I get the Pad See Ew when I am really hungry, because it is enough for two!
Food was delicious, service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxing. We are coming back!

Food was good and reasonably priced.
Comfortable seating.
Terrible customer service. My wife asked if it was possible to have any sushi cooked or steamed because she is pregnant, the waiter did not understand & went to retrieve a manager, which wasn’t the issue. Her manager came out angry as ever, leaned against the table on the side of us & said you can go to another restaurant, & she replied back nicely, what? She repeated the phrase several more times. My wife, defeated & hurt by the rudeness just said I’ll just have the fried rice. I felt so bad I offered to leave but I ordered & she didn’t want to leave with me trying this food for the first time.
First time there... INCREDIBLE ... freaken 5 stars . only thing that sucks is it took me 3 years to find it
Came on Friday around 6pm, wasn't busy yet, we got seated right away. Menu is pretty extensive with lots to choose from. For appetizers, we ordered the bao buns. Each bun is super soft with a thick slice of pork belly marinated in bulgogi sauce. My husband ordered the Thai pineapple fried rice, he loved it. It's served in a pineapple with fresh chunks of pineapple mixed into the dish. I ordered the ramen with shrimp, broth isn't salty like most ramen places, it balances nicely with the other ingredients in the ramen. The shrimp are lightly coated with tempura (I think?) and they inlcude plenty of pieces in the ramen. We also got the New York Rolls, very delish & generously filled with seafood. My one complaint was the disinterested answer that Sandy gave when my husband asked which would she recommend- Thai pineapple fried rice or Japanese fried rice- she snapped a bit and answered a very curt " I don't know what you like! If you like pineapple get the Thai if you don't like pineapple, get the other one!" It didn't really answer the question of which one she recommends or thinks is better...if she had not tried either dish & can't give a good recommendation, she could've answered that way. The snippy response with mild attitude seemed uncalled for...overall, great food, fast service, would come back again...don't ask recommendations from Sandy...

My go to sushi place! I love the Yummy Roll and the Sweetheart Roll. They also have my absolute favorite miso soup around. We've tried most of the rolls and they're always delicious. The beef pad thai is also really good.
It's a small, cozy and romantic spot. Usually easy to get a table and always ready for pick up orders when you want!
Amazing food. Flavors and combinations are very carefully considered to maximize taste. Atmosphere is quiet and calm with lighting that is a little on the dim side. Service was adequate enough to facilitate the experience but slightly lacking. Overall a great experience and awesome food.
I like that it's a chill vibe. The service was pleasant and the food was amazing! Will definitely come back.
1stv time there. Food was great
The staff is attentive. The atmosphere is dim, cozy, and romantic. I liked the decor. My husband and I enjoyed Filet Mignon Maki. It was very interesting and flavorful, as we'd never heard of it before. The entrees are huge. They come with a soup or salad. I love the dressing of the salad. My husband had the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. It comes on a huge half of a pineapple. It all tasted grilled. So good! I had the shrimp pad Thai. It's now a favorite of mine. It's a little spicy but so delicious. We shared the hibachi vegetables and they were so yum! We will be back to keep trying all the things as there is so much that sounded so good to us.
We ordered thru uber eats - it was delicious! Had the beef hibachi (requested broccoli, carrot & snow pea as veggies), pineapple chicken fried rice, coconut chicken soup, e-chicken & coconut shrimp. All ingredients were super fresh, not greasy, and perfectly seasoned. This will be one of our new favorite spots! Thanks!
Sushi is fresh and tasty. The sunrise roll are among my favorites.
Sabrina it's a really good server. 👍
The best sashimi and udon noodles!
Very friendly staff, fast service, peaceful interior and delicious food…what more can you ask for? We love this place!! There’s a little bit of everything for the whole family; they have sushi, pineapple fried rice, yaki soba, spring rolls, ramen, and more.
Es increíble como un lugar tan pequeño puede ofrecer una excelente experiencia culinaria, la atención y las instalaciones son muy buenas, ya es un sitio frecuente para visitar
The best in Rockwall if sushi is your thing then you will enjoy this really great fare.served here
You will not be disappointed and when the desire for ramen sushi or other Japanese American food arises search no further in Rockwall Texas
Quaint place with great food! I absolutely love the ginger soy sauce that comes with the gyoza dumplings and I often use what is left over to dip my sushi in. Fresh and tasty!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Clean establishment with plentiful fresh food. You could not ask for more. I’ve eaten there three times. All great. (The only small flaw was: Each time, they forgot to serve items ordered and we had to take it home later).
This is a recent find, as in November of 2023, since then we’ve been 3 times, with this one on Christmas Eve. I’m pretty happy with all that we’ve found here, for Thai and Japanese food, this last time we had the shrimp ramen, very good and the broth is very deep in flavor. The Lovers Boat is fantastic! It’s sashimi, nageri, and a roll, quite tasty and filling. The ambiance is very nice, and they accommodate larger parties. We noticed that the noise level with larger parties is elevated but not so bad you can’t hear across the table. If you have a hankering and don’t want to drive to Dallas, this should be a stop!
One of the top places to get stir fried noodles and delicious rolls in the Rockwall area
This place is nasty, people are nasty too, a place for low class people. GL for you do end up going.
Lunch 3 rolls for $13. Great value and quality rolls.
We moved from MA and we were nervous to try sushi but this was excellent!! We will definitely be back
This was my first time dining there. I love this quaint cozy Sushi/Thai restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. Every dish I ordered was delicious. I will definitely be going back again.

Awesome local sushi spot. Prices are very reasonable.
One of the Absolute BEST Thai restaurants in the Country. I travel everywhere in the U.S. and this is my favorite. I ordered the Coconut Chicken Soup, Filet Mignon Maki, and Pad Thai... everything was spectacular. I'm extremely impressed by the quality of chicken the restaurant uses....it was incredibly tender and just perfect. The Atmosphere was very elegant and the staff was on top of everything and very pleasant!
Quite possibly the best sushi in DFW 👍
Great lunch specials. Sushi is solid. Nearby so I order regularly from this spot.
Really awesome all around. Very satisfying food (had spring rolls, and California roll appetizers, dumpling soup and coconut chicken soup, Japanese beef fried rice and the rice noodles w vegetables and shrimp). So far this is now my favorite Asian cuisine in Rockwall County. Clean, friendly, good portions, peaceful, low lighting and low music so you can converse at your table. Update: the vegetable fried rice is also delicious! Great and fast take out option.
I purchased takeout; two Pineapple Fried Rice that were amazing.
Great, calm place with excellent sushi, soup and nigiri. Great for friends or couple. Attentive service.
Small nice restaurant in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Restaurant and bathrooms are very clean and in good repair. Menu has a wide variety of selections. Staff was polite and nice but not very helpful. Our sushi and fried rice were very good. Prices are slightly on the high side. I would recommend for a quiet sushi/Asian meal.
Service is great but I won’t go back for the food … sushi rice was gluey, salmon sashimi was alright but both tuna and yellow tail tasted fishy, sauce of salad was too sweet
Really cute and quite little place. The food was amazing, the staff was very attentive. Great intimate date night place.
Fantastic
I love this place. The ramen is very good, the best in Rockwall at least. The vegetable tempura was great. Fresh and crispy. I like that the sushi rolls aren’t all filled with cream cheese. My go to spot now.
I Uber eats this place and it is freaking amazing!! I got the lobster roll and spicy shrimp pad Thai. Super flavorful and for once spicy is actually spicy lol! I cook for a living so I really appreciate seasoned food and spice when you ask for it. The shrimps weren’t little scrawny mini shrimps either. They were perfectly cooked, tender, jumbo shrimp. I seriously appreciate a great Thai place near me! Thanks guys! Y’all are doing great.
We stopped in for impromptu sushi night and happy we did. We started off with Gyoza and it was tasty but our eyes lit up when the sushi came. We ordered the Rockwall, the Playboy and the Angry Dragon which was both of our fave. Service was excellent and we look forward to coming back.
Great hidden gem!
Very friendly staff, food is great
Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Rockwall, I enjoyed every single dish except for the "filet mignon". I'd avoid that, but all the other dishes are cooked to perfection, service is good and the place has a nice vibe.
Found a new favorite sushi restaurant!
We started coming here about 6 months ago and love it. The food is cooked to order and the sushi is very fresh. Nothing tastes water logged from being frozen. Portion sizes are good and there are a lot of menu choices. Luch specials are great. Also, the service is courteous and pricing are fair. Our new favorite sushi place.
Heard a hip hop song playing over the speaker that had the 'N' word in it while I was waiting for my food.
Best sushi spot in town
Great food and service! Love the Round Rock Roll!
I rarely post reviews as you can see from my profile, but I felt compelled to do so.
Delicious and came with alot of food. Lunch menu includes soup, salad, california roll, rice, gyoza dumplings with your entree. Well worth the price.
I got the pineapple shrimp. Will definitely be back to try the other options.
Staff was friendly and very attentive. Thank you for the excellent service!
Fresh and tasty food, good customer service.
Best chicken pad Thai. I loved it.
This was the worst japanese food I’ve ever had in the states. Definitely not worth eating here
Beautiful interior was very surprised. Very pleasing atmosphere, great taste in music not to loud but helps drown out other customers. Food was delicious. Got a pretty good amount of food with my partner and the bill was less than I expected. Usually go to Ramen Head but they were closed and I wanted ramen and sushi. Title says Cafe but it felt nothing like it 10 out 10! Perfect for a date night!
Their food is discussing, all frozen fish and raw fat chewy beef, not sure why people are recommending this place, I guess they never have decent food in their lifetime.
1st timers. The food and the atmosphere both exceeded expectations, especially for a strip mall. Pineapple fried rice (pictured) was unique and flavorful. We also had pad thai and volcano roll. We will definitely be back.
I really wanted to like this place but it was not what I expected. The ramen was not edible. My sushi was fried but tempura was soggy, super expensive to not be up to standard.
Food was alright not that impressive, service was slow, I didn’t even finish my food might be because the ugly lady in the front desk made me lose my appetite.
Very clean, cozy, and inviting. The fish was very fresh. I would definitely go again.
A somewhat romantic spot. We have passed this place by for years since moving here. Took the boss lady out for lunch and after entering were seated quickly. Very nice decor and clean to boot. I ordered the sashimi special and she the chicken katsu bento box lunch. Both plates came out quick. We started with the tempura sampler, which was delicious.
My sashimi was very fresh (if your fish smells fishy, it ain't fresh!) with a simple display on the plate. Her bento box was nicely filled with the chicken, rice, and a sushi roll. Ended the meal with the tampura banana, which comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere very cozy!
Went past by this restaurant decide to give it a try, but omg they are so bad, food is nasty and slow. Why would this kind of restaurant still exist, I guess this town is full of ratchet people that likes to eat trash.
Very nice atmosphere. Comfortable. Not loud! Food was good, too. Dinner with a friend. We sat and talked a little bit longer than usual. Server did not rush us in anyway. We left a nice tip to make up for it.
The seating is tight; very tight -- much closer than most other restaurants in the area. So close it's as if the people next to us are in the same conversation. They can clearly hear us and we can clearly hear them. For this reason, I would recommend dining during off peak hours.
Save the money. Save the time. The food here is inedible at best. Soups are super oily, sushi is bland, and fishy, rice is old tasting, it’s expensive and disgusting, don’t waste your money, 🤮
This place is rockwall's best sushi kept secret. Great dishes/🍣 👍 and nice ambiance. One of my favorites for sushi in the area!
Loved it!
Food was great. Don’t get me wrong but I would not suggest to go there and use a gift card because they will steal all your money on it and say it doesn’t work just happened to me today 1/4/23
The pork buns are amazing!
So thrilled I found a local place that serves them!
Incredible food. Amazing service. We ordered Japanese Ramen, sushi, and chicken pad Thai. Every dish was on point, 5 stars. A hidden gem for sure
Basil Cafe is the perfect date night spot! The service and atmosphere is excellent. The food was amazing!
Very nice decorated restaurant is new so everything looks beautiful, loved the service visited during lunch time. They have an amazing lunch menu section. Customer service was great definitely going back soon!
No Just no.. Do not like sushi but went with family. I got this chicken dish with the fattest noodles I have ever seen. Sauce was tasty but I would never go back. Not for kids at all.
This was my husband and my first time at Basil Cafe. Server was attentive, but I am not impressed by the sushi. Miso soup was delicious. Sushi was good, but PLEASE watch for leaving skin on the salmon in the salmon rolls. We had 2 orders of salmon rolls and both had skin on the fish and the skin itself had to be spit out due to being inedible. (I would’ve ate it to be honest, but the skin is hard and can’t be chewed) Sashimi platter was nice but we were disappointed about there being no salmon sashimi as it is very popular and usually on sashimi platters everywhere else. I also took a bite out of a piece of tuna and it was VERY fishy. Smell and taste wise.
The new owners really know what they're doing! Their yellowtail is fantastic. I've tried several of their options over the last week and everything has been incredible! I'm definitely addicted and will be back weekly since it's so close to my job. :)
The food was absolutely delicious. I took my bestie here while in town and I couldn't have been more pleased. The shrimp curry, the soup, the mango shrimp and the pork buns OMG the best ever. I was actually mad that I only had two because they were so good. The atmosphere is really quiet and chill. Would be a great place for a date night. I will be back soon. Great food.
Very, very disappointing. We ordered three entrees, and pretty much just paid without eating. Really, really, not good.
Lived in Japan and southeast Asia for nearly 20 years. This place is amazing in all respects. The sushi was fresh and tasted marvelous. The Pad Thai was as good as any I've had stateside. Fresh and packed with an abundance of large shrimp. The facility is immaculate. Ambience is intimate and comfortable. Service was outstanding. It will be a favorite and regular stop for me.
They've remodeled and it is beautiful. Food is always delicious. Great service, employees are very kind and courteous.
We walked out even before we ordered. Drinking waters were served in disposable plastic cups. We looked at the only other table there at the time and their food was served in paper plates. Funny thing is, the owner’s kid was eating at another table using regular dishes. Menu prices are wayyy too high given the quality of the service. Since they couldn’t even seem to be bothered to wash plates/utensils for their paying customers, I didn’t want to even take a chance what the food quality would have been like.
Food was not special, customer service was below average.
Good food, pricey
Called to place an order and confirmed that they are still not open for dine in services. As soon as I asked she hung on me. I went back to look at the reviews because it appears people have been going inside to eat. I called her back to confirm and she again said no dine in and she was confused why people were saying they had eaten inside.
I really miss the food and the ambiance the place once had. I guess it is no more.
Great restaurant! The dumpling soup had lots of flavor. The japanese fried rice was great as well, even my picky toddler loved it!
Soft music, calming atmosphere, great staff and beyond excellent food. Seeing the pineapple fried rice being served IN A PINEAPPLE, brought a smile to my face. I'm pretty sure that this presentation compelled the person sitting beside me, order it as well 😁. Chicken tempura sushi was good too. For my next visit, I'm eyeing the coconut shrimp appetizer. Thank you Google for bringing me to an absolute hidden gem!
Worst chicken Pad Thai I have ever had! It was so bad that I thought they gave me the wrong order. So I called the owner and she started yelling at me, then hung up on me! Terrible first experience and will certainly be the last! If anyone is looking for good customer service and food go to Koung Thai!
I called to see how late they were open, she said 8pm and failed to mention that they are only doing take out..... Please update your Google maps to tell people that you aren't doing dine in!
October 2021... still not open for dine in. Take out only.
Love this place! Best kept secret in Rockwall!
I came in to make a take out order. No other customers were in the store.. The to-go server told me that she'd be right back; that's fine and dandy by me. I kindly told her that I'd be ready to place my order when she returned. While she was out, a gentleman walked in and walked ahead of me in the line. But clearly, I was here first. When the server returned, she completely ignored me by assisting the gentlemen that came in after me. I simply walked out and decided to go to a franchise instead.
Ordered take out and they hit me with $1 convenience fee, $6 tip and then another 4% for credit card fee. Food is decent but won’t be coming back again.
I used to really like eating at this restaurant. Once covid hit, they never reopened which is fine and their choice. Now when we place a to go order, they charge a convenience fee, a tip, and 4% to use a credit card. Yes, a tip of their choosing it seems because I entered $3 and it was changed to $6. It sounds like they won’t survive end are having a hard time paying the bills so they are squeezing every dollar out of each order. Very sad to say this was my last visit and a small local business I will no longer be supporting.
If you're looking for a Instagram food around rockwall, TX you should definitely try this place. The flavor of the food is excellent too.
Amazing sushi every time
This food was extremely mediocre even if it wasn't over priced this is the quality id expect of panda express honestly panda is probably be better as far as asian cuisine goes. I ordered 2 different tray both were almost flavorless the meat was not only extremely skimpy but overcooked rockhard and flavorless as well. What a trash can place to call a restaurant when there are countless other places worthy of calling themselves asian cusine.
Best pineapple fried rice I’ve ever had in my life
Sushi is excellent. We had tuna, salmon, yellowtail and all of it was of the highest quality. Even the wasabi and ginger were notably good.
Not as many choices for vegetarians, but the miso soup was also delicious.
Prices are very reasonable.
We will definitely be making this a regular stop - there are many more items on the menu that we want to try!
Mixed reviews on this one. I have food allergies, my husband does not. They're normally pretty spot on, but tonight they were so way off that I thought I'd ordered a Mexican food meal.
When we ordered online, I asked for my husband's meal to be spicy in the instruction box, and he (husband) said that other than that it had NO spice at all, it was awesome.
MY meal, on the other hand, was completely wrong! I ordered Chicken Pineapple friend rice, and I didn't get ANY rice and NO pineapple, and it was like chunks of chicken and peppers in broth, but what I did get was an entire JALAPENO sliced up into my food.
Not impressed.
Shrimp fried rice was fairly good but only had 4 shrimps in it , then we had the chicken pad thai and it had just a little bit of chicken . They could do better on the meat portions.
Love this place! Great service, food and atmosphere.
My husband and I love coming here. The food is great and the service is too. We usually come for lunch or take-out on the evenings. Tonight they were closing when I called, and they were kind enough to still let us order our favorites. Thanks!
Service is fast and friendly. Love the pineapple rice and the daily sushi options. Price is fair for the quality.
Basil Cafe’ is one of our favorite restaurants! Impeccable food and service!
Fantastic! I’m scared to post this to keep it from getting as crazy busy as it should be, but this place has amazing food and service. The sushi is to die for, and the pad Thai and curry is incredible. It’s quaint, pleasant, and has a great feel. You’ll love this place. We do.
