Strip-mall eatery featuring an array of familiar Thai dishes in spacious, subdued environs.
I’ve had a lot of Thai food but all of them just seems to miss the mark on one dish or another. I’m so happy to have come here and find that anything and everything is delicious! Every category is done PERFECTLY. I’ve ordered 7 different dishes here and not one of them was a let down. The flavors, textures, chewiness of the noods, the spices, all just right. You know it’s gonna be good when they bring 5 different spices to your table. And they give you water in glass cups, not the plastic ones they have at many mom and pop restaurants. The place is clean, awesome service and food is the best Thai food in town. I can’t ask for anything more.
By far the best Thai food I've had in Texas! We got the pad thai, curry fried rice, chicken satay, crab angels (not pictured, but it's pretty much crab rangoons) and thai tea. Everything was really good! Although the chicken satay was a little dry and I had better chicken satay elsewhere, but as for the rest of the order, it was so good! This is my new go-to Thai place now.
I love Thai Orchid, this is a must have. They are a sweet family owned business. All of their dishes are delicious! My favorite is the Tom Kah Gai, it’s a coconut base soup…also the Druken Noodle is pretty yummy. 😋 I love their fresh spring rolls with Shrimp and the peanut sauce isn’t like other places it’s creamy and sweet. They always greet with a smile and their prices are amazing! Definitely 💯
At first glance the restaurant does not look like much from the outside but there’s a hidden gem behind those barred doors.
I went there on a Saturday afternoon and I was literally the only patron in the place. Lucky me! I was immediately seated and taken care of. I started with a ginger tea. It was delightful. Then I ordered the cucumber salad. The dressing was the best I’ve have. With a little bit of heat for an added zing. Then I ordered the Drunken Noodle with seafood. This dish did not disappoint. The flavor profile and spice was a great balance. I ordered a coconut juice for a drink and even that was very nice and flavorful and added to the flavor of the food. I would absolutely recommend this place.
Loved the crab angels!
The rest of the food was not the best I've had but it was good nonetheless. Server was sweet and she was very careful to not intrude on our space when putting things on the table (not necessary but a nice gesture). We came in during a storm so it was dead but still I could see how it would be nice when it's lively. I attached pictures of the full menu because I couldn't find it online on the way here.
Location was a little dead, probably because we went at a really weird timing. But the service was good! Even with the slight language barrier, they were able to get us everything we needed. I am not gonna lie I really thought the food would be mediocre because I love Thai food but this was extremely authentic and so tasty! This really is a hidden gem!
We got the steak and the yellow curry! Both were amazingly tasteful.
Now the day I was at Thai Orchid it was for a private party. The restaurant was closed to the public so there were plenty of tables. They have a Great size stage where the DJ set up and a dance floor. The restaurant did prepare the food that was serverd fried rice which was very tasty, egg roll that had a little extra crust that gave them a little more crunch and some dam good chicken wings. I'm not going to lie they were Delicious. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. The hostess of the party was extremely happy with her choice of this restaurant to celebrate her husband's 40th Birthday.👍🎂
Good one. Liked it
Superb food, cannot wait to go back.
Wonderful spot for quick and tasty Thai, the Tom kha was phenomenal.
Great amazing food. We ordered Pad Thai, number 42 and 44. They were all amazing. The home made sweet peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls was amazing.
Hidden gem! Pad Thai was outstanding, super authentic and comparable to versions I’ve had in Thailand. Only turnoff is that it’s next to a tire shop but food is very high quality and very affordable!
A Hidden Gem in this area. Great food. Great service. I definitely recommend the Thai Tea.
I love coming here for Cambodian food! I'm definitely a continuing customer.
We had the mixed platter appetizer, which included spring rolls, crab angels (rangoons),tempura-style shrimp, calamari, and tempura-style veggies. Followed that with Thai Steak and Pad Prik King (medium-spice...lovely flavor!), each with white sticky rice. Excellent food in pleasant surroundings. Thai iced tea rounded off the meal nicely. Menu had lots of variety with plenty of vegetarian options, too. Definitely coming back to try other dishes. Didn't think to take photos this time, but will next time for sure.
Meal was great with just the right KIKK😋
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Houston area. Food is consistently good, great freshly made curries!

First of all YES! Second of all hell YES! Eat here, the egg rolls are so delicious, I could die a happy person now. Omg 🤤😋 So Perfect!
One of the best Drunken Noodles I’ve ever had and they don’t go shy on spice (ordered a level 3/4). Give it a shot!
Great vegetarian food for a good price. Good sized portions
The service was very good and food was delicious. We ate Thai Fried rice with beef, Lab beef and thod mun pla. Each item was very traditional and delicious. The environment was nice and it’s a very big restaurant. Will try more food items next time for sure.
Food is great!
So authentic and one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve tried, will be back for sure
Best Thai food EVER!!
Always so delicious and freshly made when ordered!
I always get the pork pad kee mao and it’s so fresh and yummy. Super quick service too! Highly satisfied.
At first glance the restaurant does not look like much from the outside but there’s a hidden gem behind those barred doors.

The food was good. The coconut juice was wonderful, and the iced coffee kept me awake.
Dont even get me started on this place. First off, the customer service is amazing, i cant say not one time I have felt disrespected by any of the workers there. They all come ready to take your order. I have been here atleast 10 times by the way. NOW THE FOODDD, OMGGGGG. Food is absolutely amazing. My favorite from this place is the hawaiian fried rice and their crispy fried chicken. Lete e just break down this meal for you. Rice is cooked to perfection, onions have that perfect crunch to them, flavor is all the way their, and dont evewn get me started on the cashews and pineapple. Pease explain to me, how do u know to put pineapples and cashews in fried rice, knowing it will taste good. Cashews provide that perfect little crunch, and the pineapples provide that little burst of fruity flavor in your mouth. 100/10, would recommend. NOWWWWW, the crispy chicken. To all my fellow black people I can say, their chicken is way better an popeyes. When I got my food the rice came out before the chicken. So when i got my chicken is was hot straight from the fryer. I didnt touch my chicken for about 10 to 15 minutes after they brought it out for me, and it was still crispy like a chip. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THAT IS POSSIBLE? Chicken is so flavor full and when i say the chicken isnt dry at all, i mean it isnt dry at all. This is the first time I ever had a JUICY FLAT(the flat part of the wing that is connect to the drum) Chicken Wing. Im still trying to wrap me head around how they did it, and its not to say that it was juicy a little bit. I mean you can see the chicken juicy glissing over the chicken meat. Then when you squeeze it, chicken juice was running down my hand. The drum too was extremely juicy. By far the best and juicest wings i even had. The sause that came on the side was just absolutely amazing. It was sweet, lil spicy, lil tangy, and a lil smokey. It wasnt even a thick sause either, iot was more runny. To me that is the best way to have a sause. I would absolutely recommend their Thai Iced Tea. The drink is absolutely amazing and is also the best ice tea I ever had. I WOULD 100 PERCENT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE THAT IS IN FOR SOME AMAZING FOOD ON A LOW BUDGET. They also give you alot of food for how low of a price they give. I garante you, that you would be full after eating from this place

So yummy! The family that owns this are so cute and hardworking. And their food doesn’t miss! Try the tom yum and pad Thai! It was our first time and these two dishes didn’t let us down at all. Definitely will come here with more people
Food wasn't that good..
Bought food for my co workers and I.... none of us was happy with food!
Clean establishment. Service was on point. Food was delicious
I loved all the food, I’m from Mexico
And flavors are stunning. I recommend the chicken yellow curry, and panang curry with seafood
Loved the food and people.

Good food, friendly staff 😋
Sooooo good! The best Thai I’ve EVER had! The family that owns the restaurant is so nice and welcoming. I cannot suggest it enough!
The best!!
Really great food. I had the Crab fried rice which was amazing and full of crab.
I got take out. I was totally disappointed in the taste of the food. It was really bland. I ordered Crispy veggie spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, pad Thai with tofu, tofu with mixed vegetables and Cucumber salad. The cucumber salad tasted weird. The fresh springs rolls weren’t fresh, (brown bean sprouts) the crispy spring rolls were ok. The pad Thai tasted like air. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but because we wanted this to be a good takeout experience, we were gravely disappointed. I know that sometimes take out is not a good as dining in and I knew I was taking a chance. Sadly, I will say that I believe this is my first and last time eating at Thai, Orchid. I don’t know if it’s because I got a bunch of vegetarian options or what but I don’t think I would like to take another chance, especially not with take out
Supuestame abren los Domingos y cuando llegamos estaba cerrado y eran las 2PM0.
The best Thai/Lao food in town.
Come there alot😁
It was me and my daughter's first time trying this place, what a wonderful service and great food, we couldn't stop talkin about how good the food every time a different bite. I recommend this place for whoever love thai food.

Great food. Great service. Friendly staff. Can't really ask for more than that.
Also, the menu is extensive so there's something for everyone.
Came here with my dad and had some of the best Thai food I’ve had. The Thai tea was delicious, not too sweet and creamy and for the flavor. The pork Pad Thai was to die for. I see myself craving this almost every week.
Food is always great. Been coming here for years. I love Thai orchid.
Delicious. Service was great.
Best Cambodian food we’ve had in a while. Great spot for Tom Gah soup. The crab angels are amazing and authentic! Definitely going back.
We went Monday evening, since Google stated it was open and we got there: closed. We drove a distance to get here too :/
Great food but check your receipt. Got charged 11 bucks for pho with no meat and tried to tell me it was another soup that was more expensive so it looked like they took a dollar off. But 11 dollars when I had none of the three meats you took off? Will be going back. Can't deny the food is good but will definitely be checking my receipts moving forward.
Good service, good food.
Good place to with family and meetings
Awesome food but don't come here with a big group or if you're in a hurry. Everyone didn't get their food until 1 1/2hr. Service was just so slow. We were there for about a total of 2 1/2 hrs. The food was fantastic but come with a small group.
The Pad Thai was phenomenal. Will definitely be going to this place again. I cleaned my plate so fast.
I enjoyed their red curry.
By far one of the best traditional Thai green curry in Houston!!
Dinner # 50 simply amazing. And I love the Thai Lao people they are the best. They treat you like family!
Ordered the pad se ew, ginger chicken, crab angels and mango sticky rice. The pad se ew noodles were soggy and cut into pieces, and flavorless. The ginger chicken was also bland. Items came out at random times, desert came out at the same time as the meal. Pad se ew came out 10 minutes before the ginger chicken. The Thai coffee and the Thai tea were good. The crab Angela were also good.
Loved the crab angels!
The rest of the food was not the best I've had but it was good nonetheless. Food was delicious and came out wonderfully hot. The dipping 'sauces' that came with chicken satay and fried vegetable rolls were amazing. Will definitely be going again!
As always the food was excellent!!!
Fresh delicious food, generous portions, great prices, and the staff is very nice.
The food was pretty tasty, but I was not happy that the last dish came out about an hour after we ordered it. That was way too long to wait!
This place is absolutely amazing and authentic! The servers were so nice and the food came out pretty nicely. The decor is interesting, but love it! I definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for authentic Cambodian and Thai food.
nice and quite little place I found recently ! Food was great and everything was very clean when we walked in ... wish they had more egg roll options though
Best Thai restaurant in north Houston hands down. Ever since the new management took over, food and service has been the best it has ever been! I love this place.
This is my regular go to for dinner to-go! Drunken noodles, any of the curries (just depends on your mood), Hawaiian rice, crispy egg rolls with pork... 😋😋😋 & Thai Coffee!!!
Always very nice service, whether dine in or to go
Great food and great service! They have a secret Cambodian/Khmer menu which made me very happy to stumble upon this place as it's a rarity in Houston. I ordered a Cambodian salad (pork/mixed veggies), and it was good! This restaurant should market themselves as both Thai and Cambodian.
Food was great. Yummy.
food is okay but the men restroom is a little smelly. I can't stand that. Hope that can fix it.
Had dinner with family and the service was wonderful.
The service is excellent and the food is always good.
If you want to eat authentic Thai food, please go there. Very delicious.
One of the best Thai Food places in Houston I’ve had so far! Always fresh the Shrimp Tempura is right on point so fresh, everything is seasoned just right & if you love spicy food like me they will fill your spice thrive just right!! The staff is very attentive and remember you, always very polite!!
The food was really delicious my family really loved this place.
Great food and at a good price
Best place I know to get cambodian food.
Great place to host small parties
Awesome food!!! Always a great experience.
This is such a hidden gem. Great service well priced and the food was on point. Returning back regularly.
Cool place owners always treat my mom well
Food was great!!! We were able to order some from the Khmer menu! Very good! Made me miss my mom! Staff is very friendly will definitely go back.
ABSOLUTELY GREAT FOOD, SERVICE, AND ATMOSPHERE!
Spicy foods that are fresh and piping hot. They have a large selection of food choices on the menu. Try the Thai iced coffee here. It's cold, creamy and sweet but it complements the food well. Bit of sparse and discrete area.
Excellent food. Great service. Wonderful people.
They have amazing food and great karaoke
The food is always really good and spicy! My favorite Thai restaurant.
You have to try the dessert ( sticky rice mango) ! I ordered the noodle soup ingredients were fresh as could be, and the broth flavor was delicious sweet yet tangy.
I've never had Thai food before. I tried their curry fried rice and it was fantastic. Spice was just right. I'll definitely visit again!
Good authentic Thai food and the price are great!!
Fantastic meal!
Good food
Spring rolls were horrible
Great food!
Very authentic asian foods.... the flavor is on point!!!
Is very nice place and good service too !!! Specially for dates ^^
Very good restaurant for Thai food.
i ordered through grubhub, and specifically put “no egg” in the fried rice. my order came with egg, AND it was the wrong kind of fried rice. not to mention that i’ve called several times trying to place a to-go order over the phone, and no one answers EVER. the only time i’ve been here, the service has been slow despite being the only people in the restaurant. don’t waste your time.
It was my first time there, I had a very good experience, the food, so, delicious, the only thing was, that the lady didn't go to ask if we need something else...or any, but food is good.
The best place to grab food. Best service!
Best Place for authentic Cambodian food. I ordered salar machu kreung, sachgo thuc bahok, plae sachgo. Its like home.
It was just ok. I've had much better Thai food at other houston location for the same price.
Best place for lunch. Try it!
The owners are always so kind and the food is delicious
Best Thai food in Houston. This place is incredible, super fresh and extremely tasty. Generous portions will leave you satisfied.
Very nice service and food is awesome!
The food was EXCELLENT!!
Every dish was excellent.. If or when I'm here again. I'll be here to eat authentic Cambodian/Thai food..
Fresh food and service with a 😃
Great food. Good prices. Friendly staff
Very very delicious Thai food! I love this place. The plates are beautiful when they come out with the food on it as well as the flavor. 💯
This is one of Houston's hidden gems. The food here is always prepared fresh with fresh vegetables. This is by far one of the best Thai restaurants in town. This restaurant has quickly become my go to place for Thai food.
I had chicken satay before from other Thai restaurants but when I Ordered a chicken satay from here it was dry & hard.. just turned me off
I just started going to this restaurant, and I love the Red Curry with chicken (spicy). The staff is very professional, and restaurant is clean!!
The food at this place is just Amazing! The atmosphere and customer service are great.
Low key authentic Thai food located in FM 1960. I actually been coming to this location quite a bit pre COVID. During COVID I stop coming for the rest of the year until today. I am happy to write that the food is still the same before COVID. Authentic and delicious. The price is very reasonable and for me the sizing is good (I had the lunch special). I believe they make the best drunken noodles around Houston. I definitely would recommend to come try this underrated restaurant.
Pickup was smooth as silk. Good prices. Great staff and service!
Authentic Thai cuisine at a fair price point. I used to go to mint thai, but those guys are cheaping out on food quantity and quality, so I decided to try something new. I found this place and was amazed by the flavor. It's different and has that distinct homemade taste to it. Good service, and very good food. Will be returning again!
Food is delicious, staff friendly and the restaurant is clean.
Good service
The food came out in decent timing, quick.
The drinks were good. The prices were low, fed 5 people ordered 2 drinks a piece for $110. And had to go plates for everyone. Atmosphere was very nice with the karaoke and the dance floor. A strong 4^ 4.5 4.6 maybe the food was savory. I like burn your nose off hot food. They tried but couldn't, bless their hearts. ❤ My stomach appreciates it.
