It had been a long time since I've been to a Thai restaurant, and Mint Thai Kitchen was a very satisfying visit! We started with roasted brussels sprouts which had a wonderful charred flavor with a nice sweet glaze sauce. For my main dish, I decided to try my go to of Panang Curry with chicken, spice level 4 of 5. The curry was so full of flavor, and the heat level just perfect.

Their level 5 is "Thai Hot" so the level 4 is about equivalent to many Thai restaurants' hottest. Even the noodle dish we ordered at level 2 had a fair amount of heat, but I love when it's very hot but doesn't overpower the flavors, and even with level 4 you could taste everything quite nicely.

The restaurant was pretty empty for being 6pm, though during our visit there were many to-go orders and people picking up food frequently. If I lived closer, I would absolutely be ordering take out regularly.

We have tried many Thai restaurants throughout the country and this one rates in the top ten. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Our server greeted us, got us seated and gave us menus right away. She got our drinks and food order in. The food was spot on with flavor and freshness of the vegetables. The portions are nice size with enough to take home for another meal. I would highly recommend stopping in, we had a great experience 👍

This was my first time here - a great little Thai place off of 249 and Gessner. It is counter service, but the staff was friendly and fast, and the food came out fairly quickly. When you order water, not only do they bring glasses of water, but also an additional carafe so you don't have to constantly order refills. They also give you a small veggie egg roll and salad with your entree order, which was unexpected, but very nice. When I got there, I saw they didn't offer my favorite Thai dish (raad na) but when I asked they said it was no trouble to whip it up for me. It was delicious, and the portions are large. My friends also enjoyed their dishes (pad thai and pad see ew). Would reccommend!

Ordered to go. In all the pictures the portioned looked great. I got 7 small pieces of sliced beef with a pound of vegetables lol flavor was good but actual portion of meat was laughable

I went today in the evening, barely any people inside, that should have been the first red flag. Then i get the water, only to find a long strand of hair in my water with ice floating. I complain to have another water brought, which was nice of the waiter but no straw and neither an apology. Then I order pad thai and red curry, both i asked to keep at spicy level 1, the red curry definitely felt like a 3, but decided not to voice concern.

Then another strand of hair found in the pad thai. This was it for me, i left food half eaten, terrible experience from the service to the food quality, id give it 0 stars if I could, they removed the pad thai from the tab. I paid for the red curry and left. Again avoid this place, no customer service and nasty hairy food.

The papaya salad was not fresh and did not have hardly any flavor no dressing the tomatoes were mushy and one out of 3 was completely un edible.
The Tom Young soup was very salty and the shrimp were super super hard as if they were like overcooked. I went Sunday lunchtime. I felt like I was getting Saturday nights leftovers.

I seriously considered returning the food so they can see that the food was unacceptable. But I just had knee replacement surgery and managed to drive all the way there to get two meals for the day and did not feel able to drive all the way back . I had to just throw stuff away. A waste of $27.

The food is economical, but the customer service is extremely awful and rude. I have eaten at this restaurant a few times in the past, but never was I treated so rude. I also observed that the kitchen was unkempt as well. Please don't expect great customer service or any additional services. The staff is extremely and very aggressive towards you after you pay. My order was wrong as well.

This has to be one the best Thai food that I have yet to eat out here in houston everything on the menu is amazing the staff is also amazing

edit: recently just came back and received excellent service for my party of 6, the crispy chicken, pad woonsen, and cream cheese rolls were great for sharing! my only sadness is I have yet to be able to get the desserts as they're unavailable when I come but still 5 stars!

I have a great experience at Mint Thai Kitchen. The atmosphere was absolutely great. if I could rate this place a 5 stars, but I wouldn't. I would rate this place a 10 stars 🌟. ratings. I've orders a Papaya Salad, Yellow Chicken Curry, and a Pad Thai... It was a big WoW!!!! I definitely will be back. Keep It Up 5 Stars... Just Awesome!!!

It's a chill environment and the food is absolutely amazing! I had Pad woon sen and the hubby had Pad kee mao and seriously the best Thai food I've had in so long! Plenty of seating, attentive staff, and delicious food so I highly recommend.

Picked up panang curry and cheese rolls to go. Was not impressed with the place or the people in fact I wanted to be mad when I got home. The food is delicious. I want to be mad because I thought the portion size was smaller than what I'm used to but the price was also lower.

This is a fantastic choice of food in the Willowbrook area. It’s right next to the mall. A lot of vegan options. Fried rice is perfect. Usually pretty empty. Here’s a picture of the papaya salad.

And just like that, we have a new favorite Thai place. I had the eggplant basil and it was fabulous. Husband says yellow curry is also fabulous. Service is impeccable. Will be back to try more dishes.

The house special crispy chicken is fantastic! The flavors in all their curry's and stir frys are perfectly balanced and delicious.

Ordered the Spicy Fried Rice with Crab as protein. $6.00 more. worried would be imitation crab. Not even that. No crab at all. I paid $6.00 more for crab flavored rice. Very disappointed. I would've settled for imitation protein. Sorry. Can't comment on the atmosphere as it was to go.

Food was great! Especially the fish!

The food was delicious, but it's the customer service that I came here to brag about. My father-in-law fell (not the restaurant's fault, he tripped over himself), and the staff was so helpful and patient with us during the whole ordeal. We took him home to get patched up, and I ran back to place a to-go order, and again, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I really can't thank them enough for helping us out.

We got the yellow curry with chicken, one medium and one extra spicy, fried rice (spice level medium), and Thai tea and all of it was absolutely delicious!

This place has really gone downhill. Food was not good, restaurant somewhat dirty, plates with food stacked in random places. Front of the restaurant is used as a storeroom.

The soup is amazing as well as the fried rice.

This was our first visit.

Establishment has zero atmosphere.
Due to this we decided to do take away.
Items that should be in a store room are stored in the front of restaurant visible through the glass window.
Windows and glass door were very dirty.

We ordered Panang Curry and Red Curry. Both chicken options. They both come with rice.

The containers leaked in the bag on the way home and the lids do not come off easy and leak on the counter.

We got medium spicy and since the dishes were made with serano peppers vs. Thai chili's, it was good.

Serano definitely does not have the same heat level of Thai chili's.
Both curry's tasted good.

All in all we would eat here agian, but will try other Thai places first.

Imagine a very chill Cafe environment with Thai food. The food was amazing and affordable. Two drinks and two meals was $26.

I thought it was just mediocore for the price you pay was just a little bit too high on pad Thais bc it was just too much tofu and very little onions, noodles, and eggs the coating on noodles had very little flavor not like it umami or wow that was so good, no just there are places that we can give a try especially the size you pay for the curry in the smallest container overrated and pricey, this is a mediocore Thai restaurant in this area it's average, bc I get picky on my pad Thai dishes I'd rather put it together at home for half the price here!

I absolutely love the Red Curry and the papaya salad here. I ordered delivery several times a week just to eat their shrimp red curry. I have tried several dishes of them and The Pad Thai, Pad See Ew are okay. The three flavors fish has very interesting flavor. But I don’t quite like the Tom Kha, too sour for me. However, their Thai Tea was very good 👍 My family really like their food! Highly recommend to everyone!

I get takeout from this place all the time. They never fail to satisfy my hunger for Thai food. It’s one of my favorite Thai restaurants I’ve ever been too in my life and by far the best I’ve been to in Houston.

The food here is exceptional! Some of the best Thai food I have had in a while. I got the Pad Kee Mao - which is flavorful and filling. Be sure to include how spicy you want your dish.

Ordered through Uber eats. My entire order was wrong. This is a fast food Thai place. It has taken me a few orders from a few Thai places to realize why the delivery food is always horrible. 1. They pre-make everything for delivery 2. They don't read instructions 3. They use food that should have been put in the trash 3 days ago 4. They throw all of that junk into a takeout container and microwave it for 10 minutes and think nobody will notice it's rotten because it's hot.

I absolutely adored the lavender Lemonade. It was refreshing on a hot evening and the notes of lavender was perfect. The beef red curry mild was good. I didn't care for the beef, but the red curry was delicious. I would order again, but with shrimp or chicken.

The food, I have no doubt that those who enjoy Thai will LOVE this place, but the taste and smell just don't work for me.

Great tasting food, ready less than 10 minutes after calling it in, very fresh veggies, prices are very reasonable. The mixed veggies were great and chicken PadTai was amazing!

No complaints, service and food were both good. If you like Thai, don't hesitate to try Mint Thai Kitchen.

I’ve ordered here for years and recently moved and unfortunately sometimes do not have means to commute so I Uber. I am by far disgusted and cannot believe I found a cockroach in my order.

Nice spot, limited menu, no kids menu at all. Food was okay, not fresh. Usually when eating thai one of the things that draws me to this type of cuisine is the freshness of the vegetables and fruits used. Passed by the open kitchen on my way to the bathroom and saw a big stack of canned pineapples 😒. Small portions, food was okay. Decent place but won't come back here again.

Ever since eating here I have started receiving scam calls with this Mint Thai Kitchen on caller ID. I don't know if your systems have been compromised but 3 times I have gotten calls and they ask for a six digit pin to confirm my order but seems fishy. Might want to check it out on your end. I have called 2x but I get left on hold! Which is why I came to Google review

Beef Pad Thai was awful.

Had the Pad Kra Pow, Thai style and spicy. It was delicious and well priced. Very traditional Thai basil flavours with plenty of chilies.

The server was friendly and the kitchen lightning fast.

A beer to wash it down would have been perfect but they don't serve alcohol here. No big deal.

This is the first time my husband and I tried Thai food in the area. We were at Costco and decided to check out Mint before heading home (typical grocery shopping mentality lol) The menu is easy to follow. It has most ingredients listed in the description which is extremely helpful to me now a days with mild food sensitivity. The staff is friendly. The ambiance is nice and we felt comfortable. Service is quick, parking is easy.
Now to the food. DAWGGGGG, the green curry fish is incredible! The food is fresh and flavorful! The portions are generous and is still delicious the next day! This restaurant also donates proceeds to St. Jude’s which is also another great reason to support this place. We will definitely be back!

Very tasty salad and hot tea, would eat again. There is a lot of seating and there were only a couple other people there so it felt really open and spacious inside. Good friendly customer service, explained menu items and refilled water.

Cream cheese rolls & vegetable egg rolls were good. I had chicken fried rice which had a fishy taste, not good. My son had pineapple fried rice and his was very good. I will not return.

I get food from this place because it’s as close as it gets to Thai food and what I grew up eating in my childhood. Everything was good however… advice I do have for this place is to not place plastic next to such hot food where it melts the condiment/sauce container. I got an order of fried chicken and it spilt all over… /: wasn’t too happy about that as I don’t like sauce.

The seating and ordering situation was a little confusing, they have a place to order, but when we said we were eating in, we were told to pick a seat. I didn't time it, but it was minutes before someone came over. We ordered, and when asked the heat said MILD - I don't know if I didn't use the right terminology for Mint, but so thankful I didn't order it medium like I would other places. The food was delicious, so so good, the spice heat level was a little too hot.

We were looking for a place to eat while getting a phone battery replaced at Willowbrook Mall and Mint popped up on Google Maps. It was nearby and had good reviews. We ate at 4:30 on a Tuesday. Dining room was not busy but there were a lot of to go orders.

I had Pad Kra Pao (ผัดกระเพรา) Thai Style with Chicken (Thai hot) and my wife had Khao Pad Kra Pao (ข้าวผัดกระเพรา) chicken (medium). Both were very tasty and had the appropriate amount of spice.

Employees were friendly and our food was out quickly.

Flying Roaches! As we began our dining experience a roach decided to join us for dinner. When we brought it to the attention of the staff, they had a lady come out with a paper plate to swat at it, which resulted in it taking flight from the wall directly onto our table. Needless to say we had no desire to keep eating. Assuming we would have not been expected to pay for the meal we barely touched, we were given the check and asked to pay the full price. The waitress did apologize and the lady that swatted the roach tried to tell us that someone let it in thru the front door. Although it was coming from the direction of the kitchen. So, if you plan on dining here, I’d go ahead and bring a bottle of raid and your wallet.

Roaches... I understand it's impossible to never have an insect in your restaurant, but it's how you handle it that counts. Decided to dine at Mint this evening and had a bad encounter with a flying roach. We had literally just finished our appetizer and were about to start the main course when a roach decided to join us by crawling on the wall directly next to our table. I advised the waitress and asked if she had anything to kill it and she advised someone else to come handle the situation from the kitchen. Their idea was to bring out a paper plate and swat it away. At which point the roach decided to take flight directly at us and onto our table. Needless to say we were done with our dinner before even getting started. The solution offered was to move us to another table, which we declined and advised her that we were going to leave. As mentioned, we literally had just received our main course. She said she was sorry and gave us our check, LOL. Instead of trying to make it right, the lady that swatted at the roach tried to make excuses and said that someone let the roach in when they opened the front door. Mind you, were sitting toward the counter of the restaurant and it was not coming from the direction of the front door. You can figure out for yourself where it was coming from. Needless to say, this is not a place we will be returning to. Not because they had a roach appear, but because of the way it was handled.
