Casual spot for familiar & country-style regional Thai dishes in a quaint setting.
We stumbled upon this place because we frequent other restaurants in the same plaza. This is a diamond in the rough! Food quality is outstanding, and authentic Thai cuisine! The service is great and owners go above and beyond please you! We had the pineapple fried chicken which was incredibly good. We also have the red curry amazing!
The food is AMAZING! I had the crab and shrimp rice. He had the chicken and shrimp sweet and sour. The lady here is super sweet. She introduced us to a lemon ginger tea thatbis her personal favorite and it was yummy. He's not feeling very well, so she has no idea what her timing with the tea.
I can't wait to return.
I saw the negative reviews and still tried to give this place a chance. It was just overall not great, there are too many good Thai places in Orlando for anyone to waste their money here. I ordered Nam-Tok and the portion size I got was tiny and barely any actual meat especially for the $16 rice tag no rice just some chopped up iceberg lettuce (see picture) and it was very very salty way too much fish sauce that you couldn't taste any other flavors. We also ordered Larb but they didn't hear us order that so we didn't get it. The Thai tea tasted like Lipton mixed with H&H and the pineapple fried rice had 0 pineapple in it... I don't know if they forgot or ran out of just decided that since it was taken out ot just didn't matter. Either way i would recommend whoever is thinking about this place to definitely spend your money elsewhere on better food.
I have eaten Thai food all over the world and this was The Worst Ever! I ordered Penang curry with chicken and literally there was no meat in this dish, probably not even 1-2 tablespoons (they looked like skinny scraps - forget about chunks of meat, not here), and the rest of this bowl was filled with lettuce and cabbage and some spoiled broccoli! Who puts lettuce, cabbage and broccoli in Penang curry?!?! Nobody except here!
There is no other place on the planet that serves cabbage and lettuce in penang curry. Also there was rotten/spoiled broccoli in the penang curry as well (also not supposed to be in this dish ). Gross!! That was all just a “filler “so the owner could get away without putting any meat in this. I could not believe it!
Also the Thai iced tea was so sweet it was not drinkable. It was disgusting and one drink will cost you $5.00 so we wasted $10 on two drinks that we didn’t even drink. The food was a total rip off for what you pay for two simple meals. It was $42! And, the food wasn’t even good. The sauce was the consistency of water. It was disgusting, quite frankly - what a disappointment.
My friend ordered a meal with chicken with shrimp, and she didn’t put any shrimp in at all and she did not come back to the table to inquire how things were she was on a personal phone call so we had to get her after waiting 10 minutes after she dropped the food on the table.
I would never recommend this place to anyone and would never return. How she still is in business at this point is beyond me!
We were in town for a event and we found this Thai place off google and it didn’t disappoint. I had a green curry with rice that was spectacular. The little old lady that owns the place was nice enough to give us cookies, plantains and an amazing pineapple tea. 10/10 recommend!
We came from a conference meeting and I got curious about this restaurant because there was no one there. The food was ok, I kept it simple with the house fry rice. The mushrooms sauce gave the rice a more elevated flavor. The pineapple tea was great
I was looking for good Thai food while in Orlando and this had good ratings so I figured why not. I have had better Thai for sure than this but customer service was outstanding. The restaurants is pretty average, pricing is not bad compared to other Thai places. I had Pad See Eew which did no look like that dish that I always get but its ok. My fiancé had their panang curry which was alright, usually the ones that are really good, are thicker and this was more soupy so it was alright. I love Tom Kha and that was def a favorite. It was good. The customer service was great, I think the lady is the owner brough us pineapple tea when we were done which was nice of her. It was sweet, she also brought some cookies which were home made and were also from pineapple but they were soooo good. overall, it was an alright experience. I noticed lots of people had togo. nobody sat down for dining in
This is the worst fried rice ever. You call this Thai food?! I call this white people food. It’s soo sweet when I asked for medium spicy 🌶️. And my pork tastes like chicken…🙄. Even ordered the pad Thai medium spicy as well… SO SWEET. It’s like so sad eating this. $50+ for sweet sweet food. And it isn’t made correctly at all
0/5 to the chef
Great Food, Incredible Service... Authentically Delicious.
Had to leave a review before I left because I had such a great experience, some of the most pleasant people I’ve had the please of meeting!
Very classic and very comfortable, you won’t leave hungry and the prices are fantastic.

That lady over charged me
With the excuse is taxesss
Only hand writing recepts. Not ok!!!!!!!!!!!

Such kind people, great food & serbmvice, & they give surprise extras. So sweet. 🫶🙏💙
Don't be fooled by the quaint or dated decor- this food and service is out of this world. We had the panang curry, pad thai, and kow gai
and all were excellent. The flavors stand out like good Thahi cuisine should! We all had different levels of spicy and they did a wonderful job customizing our dishes. The owners were friendly and kept bringing out little snacks and teas for us to try. The fruit infused tea they offered was : chef's kiss:. I will absolutely be back.
Best Thai food I have had in a long time. Amazing owners that spoiled us with tea and cookies.

The food is delicious. They also brought us pineapple tea at the end of our meal, and I’ll probably be thinking about that tea for a long time!
Best customer service I have ever experienced. The food is always delicious each time I’ve come here even if it’s a few years later the food and service stay constant and I love that. Highly recommend.
We went to try thai food first time at this restaurant. My wife and I ordered 2 entrees. My entree never came. I had to remind them even after paying my bills, that my entree never came.
The owner of the establishment, treated me and my brother with respect and kindness and gave us appetizers although we hadn’t paid for it or asked for it.. Very homey and friendly environment! My first time we’ve ever been to this area and trying their food and honestly I’d come here again.
Authentically food was great! The owners were very sweet and kind. It felt like being in treated by my grandparents. I loved it so much. Definitely coming back for the food and the owners.

I'm finally giving up on this place. The owners need to stop playing games. The food is inconsistent and they keep cutting corners more and more.
They offer a buy one get one free pad Thai on Uber Eats and all they do is take one portion and split it into two boxes. They don't even include a lime wedge anymore which is customary for a pad Thai entrée. Last time we requested it they tried to charge me three dollars for a slice of lime! Anything you order spicy is going to come mild so don't even bother. The food gets sloppier, less in portion size, and uses old vegetables. I'm over it.
This is one of the best spots in Orlando for Thai food. They are so incredibly kind and the food is always amazing. I couldn't recommend them more.
Like eating at your grandma’s house!! The owner is so sweet and attentive. We have been coming here for over a year and the service and attention has always been incredible. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are very good and mango sticky rice with custard is amazing! She always finishes with an amazing pineapple tea and cookies 💗
It’s like my grandparents cooked and served up homemade food. I haven’t had this experience since being in Thailand
Amazing food, amazing people
Food is too salty.
I've ordered curry and it was delicious! While waiting they offer some kind of chips, grapes and tea or apple compot. Recommend this place!
I love this place, hands down, always fantastic! My favorite, is sitting down and eating inside because it really feels like home. Snacks are brought to you and your food is very clearly made fresh. I’ll come here forever, thank you.
The owners of this establishment are outstanding they put their customers first and respect their customers. When we walked in we were greeted and served immediately I would highly recommend their food was good as well! Highly recommend
We went there to give it a try. The food was delicious and the owner lady was very nice.
I wish I would’ve read the reviews before ordering take out 🤦🏻♀️ the portions are small & the prices are way steep! The food was okay for it being “authentic” thai food. Wouldn’t recommend! Do yourself a favor & find a better quality restaurant if you want a thai dish
Best Thai food and the owners are so sweet! Everything is made and served by them and they also give free plantain chips, grapes, cookies, and pineapple tea when you dine in. The food is absolutley amazing every single time! Our family loves this little place.
I don’t like giving small places like this bad reviews, but the food here is pretty terrible. Also, I ordered 3 items and they charged me more than the menu price on all 3.
Ate here with my children while my husband was next door playing pool. We love Thai food and love to give it a try in different places. We ordered vegetable spring and summer rolls, pineapple fried rice with no curry (so it wouldn’t be spicy for the kids) special tea and Thai tea with coconut milk and it did not disappoint. The service was great, everyone was so kind and polite and gave such great attention to my kids and I.
Unfortunately the worst Red Coconut Curry I’ve ever had in my life. I order to go and didn’t know it was gonna be so bad.
More veggies than beef and the veggies where not very clean, I couldn’t finish my plate. This is the first time I see cabbage on a coconut curry recipe and on top of fit it had some kind of mold. I would not recommend this place.
Lovely little store with solid food and great service!
Had the pad thai and the pad sew and it was super delicious. Thai iced tea was amazing!
The best homecooked food. Totally recommend it.
Not only is the food amazing, but the people are extremely kind. One of the best restaurants I've been to :)
Never been to restaurant. Called to place a pick up order. They quoted me a higher price than is reflected on their internet menu. When they picked up no business name was given. Didn’t understand I was picking up thought it was delivery then they hung up on me when I mentioned the prices difference. Can’t imagine ever putting up with this to try their food.
Food was great! Yum
Food was pretty good. Good portion sizes and the owners were very nice, gave us tea on the house!
Ordered curry to go and was served tea, cookies, and plantain chips while I waited with my fiance. The tea was really good and I really like the cookies. Most places where I get a red curry they make it way too sweet but this place got it down just right.
It's just a small, humble and casual Thai restaurant and I appreciate.
Handed me a list of menus, didn't greet us at the door or apologize for the wait. Need more staff.
What a little gem. The owners were outright friendly and attentive. The food was tasty. Singapore noodles with shrimp were well prepared. Drunken noodles with squid was excellent. The curry was a hit. But the owners again were the highlight. The lady brought us a pineapple tea that was incredible!
Do not listen to all these people saying that this place has small portions, or that the food isn’t good. My husband and I went to this restaurant and the experience was amazing. From the food to the tea and the overall service and ambience it was an amazing. Come and try it for yourself if you want a great experience. Take it from me, it’s the first time I’ve ever had Thai food and frankly I would put this restaurant against any restaurant any day.
Excellent food, I had the Nam Tok, and it was perfectly spicy and delicious!
I’ve never been so disappointed in the size of the food I ordered. The shrimp pad Thai came with multiple empty shrimp tails and it was the smallest portion ever. It looked like a kids meal. So disappointed in this place.
I would never recommend this place to anyone and would never return. How she still is in business at this point is beyond me!
I had read past reviews. I saw people complaining about the amount of meat about a year ago. But, none recently. I figured it was better now.
I am currently staying with my mother in law who has dementia and can’t be left home alone. I ordered the green curry online. Since it was Mother’s Day and I am stuck in the house, I thought I would treat myself to the Sea Scallops. What I got was a mixture of several pieces of very tough squid, three small shrimp and Two tiny Bay Scallops. This was not the Mother’s Day treat I was looking so forward to.
Needless to say. I will not be ordering from here again. There are two other better Thai restaurants on Semeran Blvd. such as let down.
Tasttyyyyyyy😍😍😍😍
The staff here have always been so kind and attentive! Every time I’ve been here, they’re wonderful. The food is also amazing! The tea is a great compliment to every dish they offer. Always recommend this place because its consistently delicious with some of the best service I’ve ever had :)
This place is a hidden gem. It is truly Thailand in Orlando. The food is exceptional to say the least and it is family owned which is a plus, they are so hospitable. I never wanted to leave. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
I have been coming here for over 2 years and it's genuinely one of my favorite comfort restaurants in Orlando. The owners pour their heart into this food and you can genuinely taste it. The sweet lady usually gives you homemade cookies with a special Thai tea when you dine in. Truthfully a hidden gem.
A must they have delicious food 😋
Food was delicious and the staff was so friendly, thank you!
Hey there! Just wanted to share my experience at Thai Island Orlando restaurant - it’s a small family-owned place with the friendliest hostess who provides top-notch service. I tried the Curry with Tilapia and it was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients beautifully presented. The prices are affordable and servings are generous. And make sure to try the pineapple tea, it’s the best! I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone who loves delicious Thai cuisine.
Thai food is my favorite food and this place is my new go to in Orlando!! The food was so good I almost teared up. Is a family owned restaurant and every person that came to our table had a genuine smile on their face. The flavors were perfect, the service was quick and on point, prices were unmatched. We will be back at least once a week!! Very happy that we found Thai Island ✨🙏🏼
This place is amazing! The food is so good and the staff are so kind and generous!
Empleadas muy malcriados
I have visited different Thai restaurants, AND THIS HAS THE BEST TASTE OF THEM ALL🫶🏻
Stopped by for dinner on the drive by. Red curry was subpar and there was no basil in the drunken noodles. Beef quality was poor. First time visit, but it will probably be our last.
Food was absolutely delicious. The older lady who waited on us was so sweet and really accommodating of our 7 year old son. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys authentic Thai.
the soups were great, but the beef in the beef curry was undercooked, the curry tasted 'off'. I had a thai basil chicken dish that used dried basil flakes -- it was awful. The service was great but the food pretty disappointing.
The beef Thai Volcano Special was amazing!! We had amazing service and the food was brought out promptly! We received free apple tea, grapes, strawberries, plantain & taro chips with cookies and it was all so yummy! If I didn’t live in Clearwater I’d be a regular here! The staff was so friendly and made sure to come and check on us to see how everything was. Thank you Thai Island!!
This restaurant was amazing! Just arrived in from San Juan from a cruise and was hungry. What a great meal to get back to reality. Homemade banana chips were complimentary. We ordered The Tom kha shrimp soup, the penang curry with vegetables and the coconut with peanut sauce with tofu (#41). Everything was delicious. The woman serving us was so nice and gave us a complimentary pineapple tea and pudding for dessert. Wish we lived in the area. We would def come back. You will enjoy a meal here!
Such a cute local restaurant. It's run by this very lovely old couple who make the best and authentic Thai food. The old lady is also very sassy and has some favorites in the menu which are absolute bangers. Service might be bit slow because it's just the old couple making the food but the wait is completely worth it. 100% recommend.
1 star bc the red curry had good flavor. Although they mostly give you broth with few veggies and I think I found 3 slices of tiny chicken one being all gristle.
They forgot to make our food so we waited extra. When we asked they avoided the question and said it’s all good now. I can appreciate honest humility so didn’t appreciate the lies and gaslighting about forgetting to make our order until we arrived to get it. When we asked for a side of peanut sauce we were ordered to pay extra. Really? After all that you demand more money for a 2oz sauce?
The $18 appetizer sampler was all brown frozen food and was missing 2 sections of food that were supposed to come with it.
Overall dirty and cluttered environment, rude service, missing food, and overpriced for no substance.
Food was delicious! And the service personable. The server was fun making it a wonderful experience to share with a dear friend I hadn't seen for a while. Thanks Ma and Priysana for an enjoyable time.
Delicious and authentic Thai food and friendly service. Ordered Tom-Kha soup and Pad Thai very yummy! Loved the
Thai Tea. We'll be back for more!
Ms. Ma and Ms. Priysana are from Thailand and are very nice too!
great authentic food
Went for dinner with the family. The duck on the menu was 16+, but some of the menus had a piece of paper taped over that price that said $20 and when we asked for the duck she said it was actually $25. That was not the only item on the menu where she had to say the price was actually more than stated. I would suggest maybe someone go through all the menus and fix all of the prices. Otherwise it was a nice experience.
The elder giving 250% hospitality won me over. I love her. Duck and pad thai were awesome.!
La sopa estuvo deliciosa, la camarera fue excelente con su servicio; nos brindó una plena atención que me hizo sentir acogido. El restaurante tiene un ambiente de acuerdo a al origen de los platos, 10 de 10 súper recomendado
Honestly this place is a hit or miss depending whos cooking. it's over price for the quality of the food. Staff is very kind .but not kind enough to make my food taste better. Calamari was TRASH. 4 outta 10 WOULDNT RECOMMEND
Dirty and the foodis very dirty after i saw the resteraunt use the food is quite rotten and bring some of food falled on the ground to back in the plate in serving again. So disgusting even though most of people suggest this resteraunt. So this should be reviewed gor other customer to reconsider to visit here. Very bad
This is the type of place with paper on the tables and family run. The food comes out as its done and in what ever order. And you bet it is amazing and fresh, full of flavour, hot and delicious!
I had a 10/10 experience! The service was the best I’ve ever received at a restaurant and the food so super tasty. I had the beef noodle soup and spicy duck! Highly recommend if you are looking for good food and good service!
Very friendly service and food is authentic
Amazing food & great service!
Highly recommend.
Meh, much better Thai in the area. Service was terrible. Food was not the best.
This was my third time dining at this restaurant and honestly I don’t know if I’ll be back. The first two times were great, great portions, attentive service. The owner took great care of me. But today? Im not sure what happened. 1) I came in super hungry and immediately ordered spring rolls and a beer. I was told the beer is $1.50 more than listed on the menu… 4.99 for a Michlob ultra? Insane. Owner said it was a “big” one though so I asked if it was more than 12oz and then she just told me they didn’t have it lol. This encounter took about 12 minutes… the place was empty! So then I’m waiting for the egg rolls to decide and see how much more food I would want after those but the owner pressured me to order a main dish and I did - I was expecting I might anyway. I wait more.. then my entree comes out. It’s so small I have never had a portion of pad Thai so small. Not only that, I hadn’t even gotten my appetizer yet. I asked about the spring rolls… the waitress looked at me confused? She asked if I wanted 1? The menu states it comes with 3 and I had ordered it a while ago and she never even put it in. Eventually I got them and the food is good but then I got the bill! My entree was billed a $1.00 more than what was stated on the menu. I honestly can’t stand when the menu prices don’t reflect the ACTUAL prices. Im honestly still annoyed about my experience. I can’t believe I paid 27 dollars for a small portion of pad Thai, 2 beers and some small egg rolls. Probably will never be back
Ordered tofu curry and got chicken in it
Great place and service! Absolutely love the food! Quick service for lunch without compromising quality.
Small restaurant with excellent food. We shared the fishcakes, which are made in house and they were delicious.
I went for Pork Drunken Noodles and they came out excellent. Spicy chicken Drunken Noodles were delish as well.
The Thai iced tea was too bitter for my taste. The restaurant needs a good cleaning, very dusty, walls need washing as well.
Will be visiting back for more!
Amazing food and amazing service. The owner was very lovely with me and my family as well as the other gentleman helping her. The business is family run and you feel at home eating there. She made us tea and my little brother ate so much he can barely sit anymore lol. Pad Thai is my favorite and the Thai tea is amazing 10/10.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Orlando. The owner and associates are always so kind anytime I come in. They always give me an orange as a sweet gesture. They are kind and professional. The food is delicious! You can tell it was made with love. I will always come back.
Felt under the weather today and was in the mood for Tom yum soup is the best here and so is the pineapple tea ☕️ Pritsana our server really took care of me and made me feel like home , very comfortable atmosphere especially when is cold out
Hands down the Best Tom yum soup and papaya salad in town! Excellent service by the pritsana and the gentleman. Always coming here now for Thai food craving. They gave us their most popular pineapple tea and cookies. Love it
AMAZING RESTAURANT. Hard to see good Thai restaurants these days and this was top tier. I loved the lady that was working there she was super kind and sweet. The food was also amazing, very flavorful, and were decent priced for the amount of food got. Definitely recommend going to the restaurant.
The sweetest staff ever and delicious food! If you're lucky enough to have the owner make you her tea while you wait for takeout when not busy, you will thank the food gods for your taste buds.. fr fr!! Recommended!
I owe a review to this restaurant. I've being going to eat at this thai restaurant for over five years. The service and atmosphere is excellent. The food is at the top. The value price you get for food is underrated. 💯👍🏾🔥
Got take out. Both were very good. Lots of clutter in the restaurant. I'll still go back, good stuff.
I’ve been coming here for a little over a year now, and every time I come I get treated so nicely and the food is consistently amazing. It tastes fresh and delicious and I’m usually not one to leave reviews but I’m a regular here and enjoy my experience every single time.
Amazing service and great food
Love this local spot! The owners and staff are very kind and always do small gestures to show their appreciation!
It was an amazing experience, great service and food. It felt like going to grandma’s house, everything done with love.
I really wanted to like this place, because I love Thai food and it’s close to me. It was not good.
I don’t mind small places, in fact I often prefer them, but this place was dirty. The lampshade over our table was CAKED in dust and grime.
The food was bland, and I had to add condiments to try and get some flavor out of this food. I’d gladly drive 25 minutes further to get some decent Thai food because this ain’t it.
Just ate lunch at Thai Island. The staff was very nice and attentive. The green curry chicken was the best I've had in a while. The prices were fair, and I will be back.
Disappointed with the quality of food. I had ordered the pad thai, the large tom kha gai soup and panang beef to go, for lunch, after church, and quite disappointed. The soup I ordered was the large, and it was looked like it was the small portion. I was so shocked that I had asked the woman if that was correct, and she said that her soup is famous and very tasty that everyone comes loves her soup. It still didn't justify the small portion of soup when I paid for the "large". The pad thai tasted like it was an old stale or left over portion from some days before that was reheated and thrown into the to-go box. The panang beef curry was extremely watery and not what I was expecting after all the reviews I had read. The place itself is a small hole in the wall, which is usually the type of place that has the best kind of food. It's run by a couple, so it's short staffed, and def isn't anything fancy but it looks like it's received many awards before so I'm surprised that I had such a bad experience. Maybe if I had dined in it would have been different, but it still shouldn't have been so different. I still paid a good amount of money for a very disappointing experience.
They treat you like a king. Maybe it's because I come when the place is quiet, but they roll out the full assortment of sauces to fine tune your spice levels. They gave a complementary grape and tea and plantain plate to top off the meal. The duck curry is the best I've had.
Nice staff great food good price
Super Good. Gracious and giving family. Most delicious food in town, I believe!
Great service! Great food. I love the staff. They are family and they were super sweet to us. Even made these cookies HOMEMADE COOKIES and they were so good! I don't even like sweets that much but I could eat a tons of it.
I can't speak on the service or atmosphere since I had the food delivered so I'll leave five stars in those areas
I ordered a chicken satay for a quick lunch at work and man was it depressing. It was delivered in an old Walmart shopping bag. It didn't taste like chicken satay I've had from anywhere else. It was way too salty and the portion unbelievably small. The peanut sauce was just cold and chunky.
Very authentic.
Went for dinner.
We ordered 2 entres. Came with free snack /appetizer and dessert biscuit and sweet tea.
Manali was most most fantastic person . Always smile . We loved her and we had lot of food , chicken tikka masala salad and fried rice …
Thank you tabla for such a wonderful experience… and we will return and ask manali ❤️
Very good food. We ordered all vegetarian - drunken noodles, basil fried rice, red curry and spring rolls.
Excellent taste. The place doesn’t look good from inside, looks old and run down but trust me the food compensates more than enough for it.
Lovely people. They gave us free cookies and plantain chips.
Excellent food - ordered vegetarian red curry, drunken noodles, and basil fried rice :)
Staff is very friendly they also gave us fried plantains and coconut cookies for free!
The first time I genuinely didn’t like Thai food. The chicken was dry, there was barely any soy sauce and I paid extra for vegetables and all I got was barely any broccoli. It was lacking flavor so I hope they can do a bit better.
Best pad Thai and Tumyum soup ever
Decided to randomly check out this place for late night dinner, and did NOT regret at all. The food was so delicious! We ordered Thai Basil fried rice and the Penang Curry, both of them were full of diverse flavors. The curry came with its own steamed rice side but both the items were so good we finished all of it lol. The lady surprised us with complimentary homemade plantain chips, crackers, and tea after the meal! All of those were tasty as well. Will definitely go back 😃
This is a great Thai restaurant! Be patient and you will be rewarded. The nicest and sweet people producing genuine Thai food food from the heart. I have to return worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. Have a Thai beer..the bitter with the sweet and hot food will take you back to Thailand.
Great food!
Such a hidden gem! The food is authentic Thai and prepared to order. The staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
Good mom and pop, serivce is bad but that's expected when they are serving lots of people at once clearly understaffed we walked out once when the owner or the woman there when we walked in handed me the entire stack of menus, didn't address us, didn't apologize for the wait and completely ignored us. Really upsetting but the foods nice when you can actually get served definitely worth a try but go with low expectations and you'd be pleasantly suprised.
Edited: reduced service rating
Severely ignored me and my wife once upon a visit and thoughtlessly when I approached her handed me every single menu in the building and continued to ignore us. Never once acknowledged us and we just ended up walking out
Food and customer service was top-tier! Even my picky Haitian mother loved everything from the Thai fried rice, to the Tom yum soup, my family enjoyed it all! I’m vegan and I was able to find great options and felt very accommodated. Plus we were served cookies and tea after our meal, I could not have had a better experience! 10/10 can’t wait to go again.
Simply the best Thai in Orlando. I always stop in on my way through town. A family run business where you can actually taste the love
Portions are small for the price food is great tasting
Portions are ridiculously small for delivery for the price, the pad thai tasted off. The curry puffs were soggy af.
The food is very good. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
It feels like one of this little restaurants that you would find in Thailand with good tasty food, great customer service - we fell in love with the lady serving us. Decent food and great customer service makes it worth a return visit to this restaurant.
I’ve ordered from here before and always had a great experience, but this time I ordered the Tom Yum soup and egg fried basil noodles and had the worst food poisoning of my life. Don’t order late at night.
I love Thai island. The food is pretty good- got a delivery order and the Tom yum soup was tasty and the rice was good too. Their basil chicken is really good. Overall I’d definitely recommend this place for good Thai food!
First time here, but the food, service, and atmosphere are amazing. Our server, Pitaña made sure everything we ordered was exactly what we wanted.
One of Orlando's hidden treasures!
Food is fine but the portions are WAY too small for the price. Won’t order here again.
Very average Thai experience. Did anyone else get a random banana?
Food here was great and the owners are the friendliest.
Some of the best Thai food I've ever had. The lady that served was amazing, very attentive and the food kept coming. Loved the Drunken Noodles with beef!
I had a terrible experience ordering with Doordash. I ordered the Triple Flavor Seafood, it came in with 3 shrimps, 2 tiny tiny scallops, no squid, no tilapia “at all”….first and last time ordering from this restaurant.
Nice place to eat and hang out with friends. The owners and staff are super nice. Had to take some food to go boxes for what we could not finish. Very delicious and will be back again.
The yellow curry with chicken is fantastic. Great spot to meet up with friends.
By far the best Thai restaurant in Orlando.
The taste is the same as in Thailand, and the kind owners, grandmother and grandfather.
I don't like leaving reviews for restaurants, let alone bad reviews, but this place is disgusting. I'm all for supporting local mom and pop shops but at some it's too gross to support. I walk in to get my online order and they had no idea what I was talking about and that it would be a little while for my food. Ok fine, no worries. It happens and I completely understand. Someone comes in after me to pickup their online order and they get theirs immediately. Again, no worries, I get that he probably ordered something that was easier to make so fine. At this point though it was increasingly obvious that they had completely forgotten about my order because the woman told me that my food will be ready shortly and that it'll come out fresh. She then proceeded to continue looking for my online order and shouted at the cools in the back to begin preparing it. I get my food and it's genuinely repulsing. The meat is unbelievably undercooked and they left this giant hunk of fat lying on top of the rice. The eggs weren't cooked all the way with the rice and I could tell because the rice smelled like runny yolk and looked and tasted like it too. The entire order was super rushed and came out absolutely disgusting. Absolutely not worth it for the price.
Great food! Family run business which cares about its customers. Not fancy, but really good Thai food.
This is the most disgusting Thai food I’ve ever eaten. I got simple Pad Thai. It was so dry I couldn’t even eat it. Save your money this place is GROSS. And expensive for a terrible meal I could not even eat.
Family run place. Food tasted great.
Such a great experience for my family and I every time I come here…(I say that because I’m picking up from here now lol) I love the vegetable fried rice and spring rolls. All of the food is good, but those are my favorites. The owners are so nice and the service is amazing. If you’re ever in Orlando Florida, skip the wing heaven and get you some Thai Island!!
Great food! Very authentic!
Wonderful food, friendly staff and so accommodating. Couldn't recommend this place more
The amazing lady there served tea and cookies after the meal that were absolutely delicious.
I regret to say this, but walking into this restaurant felt exactly like walking into a nursing home. I was uncomfortable with the level of hygiene of the staff :/
This was one of the best Thai places I have ever been to in US. Everything we ordered was perfect. Their drunken noodles were the best one I have had so far. We ordered fried rice and a curry and all of it was perfection. Would definitely recommend this place!
The food here is amazing! Me and my boyfriend love to find hidden gems and this is definitely one of them. We had the drunken noodles and a Thai style sampler and EVERYTHING was amazing!
Small hidden gem, warm atmosphere, home made chips/cookies, hot tea and grapes at the end of meal. Great place!
My second time returning and My God there curry is to die for it's fantastic the service is perfect the food is top tier I live only a few clicks away from this place and me and my fiance plan on frequenting here more often for date nights. The food had us filled satisfied and euphoric. God bless the family that runs this place they earned that foodie award BIG TIME. Thank you Thai Island Orlando for the complimentary homemade cookies!
Best Thai place Ever! <3
We are traveling through on a SE USA drive. Based on the reviews we were excited about eating here.
Menu looked quite interesting. Got to the place around 9:50 - had called before and they said they were open till 11pm. It really is a hole in the wall - grandma (or someone like a grandma was sitting in one of the booths.)
Ordered. Waited. Waited some more. And waited yet some more. Enjoyed a glass of wine and, since it was so slow, got the rest of the bottle.
Waited yet some more - several DoorDash and similar folks came in and got takeaway.
Dropped $40 on the table for a very mediocre bottle of wine. Left after 50 minutes.
They only had one other table - 8 people.
We do believe in supporting mom & pop operations but, eventually, you just have to walk.
Really wanted to support them.
Sad, very sad.
The most amazing food and friendly place I’ve been on the area. Their homemade cookies and tea was beyond delicious!!! MUST GO!
authentic… best pad thai i’ve ever had. delicious house made tea and cookies! amazing service. will be coming back!
Ordered on door dash and food was good but very disappointed that I had to pull out a hair that wasn’t mine from my mouth when eating their pad Thai.
Very disappointing Thai restaurant. First of all, the "cheese bikinis" are just crab rangoon. The "tulip dumplings" are shrimp dumplings that you usually find at dim sum, not the traditional Thai shrimp dumplings. Also, these shrimp dumplings definitely came out of a frozen bag. The panang curry tasted like it was made from coconut milk that had expired, and I barely took a couple bites before stopping in fear of food poisoning. The yellow curry my friend didn't taste good as well. The only decent dishes we had were the chicken satay and the drunken noodles. When we went, it seems like there was only one server there, and they were quickly overwhelmed when other people came for dinner and takeout orders. Prices are reasonable, but I won't be back. There are much better options for Thai food in Orlando.
I've ordered the Pad Thai and Panang Curry here and they were pretty good! The staff were really nice! Could definitely see myself coming here often.
The three of us each ordered something different, and we all enjoyed our entrees. Delicious
Delicious. Love this family owned restaurant. They will be busy from time to time so go with patience, worth the wait. My entree of choice is green chicken curry with white rice, my wife is pad woon sen with seafood. If you order medium or hot -- they mean it, true Thai hot and deliciousness.
Loved the food, I had the Pad Ta Krai, really delicious. We got free snacks from the owner. It's very family oriented, hence family cooking, always the best in my opinion.
The first time I ate here it was amazing. Great experience and fantastic food that was fresh and incredible flavor couldn’t wait to get back. Then we went back- ordered to go. Arrived and they said you’ve already picked up your food. Obviously I hadn’t, they found out they gave it to the wrong person. No worries, they told me they would make me more. They had me wait and wait (given I also drove about 40 minutes to get here) and I couldn’t figure out why it was taking so long. They had called the people who grabbed the wrong order. They came in and they handed them their correct order then took the same food those people brought back that had been gone god knows how long and TRIED TO HAND IT STRAIGHT TO ME!! I was floored, and pointed it out as they didn’t even hide it. Was told they would take care of it and took THE SAME FOOD in the back in plain view and reheated it in a wok, put it back in the same to go container and tried to hand it back to me. I told them I didn’t want it and wanted my money back and they would not oblige. I walked out just couldn’t take it. I hate that it happened as we LOVED this place when we first wen but this was just completely unacceptable. CANNOT recommend and have refused to go back since.
The pad Thai is amazing! Great customer service kind hearted people. Very attentive the food comes out fast has a lot of flavor very good authentic Thai cuisine. The tea is amazing as well. Really nice decorations and design for the restraunt. If your looking for a Thai place to eat at I’d definitely recommend here!☺️
Absolutely amazing food and very nice people who run this place. It was a pleasure to deal with you.
This restaurant was amazing! The pad Thai was absolutely delicious, and there service was spectacular. Highly recommend to anybody!
Beautiful decor, and enjoyable food. I loved my yellow curry, but my husband didn't enjoy his garlic beef so much, so the menu seems hit-or-miss like other reviews have said, but we both enjoyed the chicken wings. We were the only ones dining in, so it was a nice quiet experience. The owners were very nice, and the lady even brought us pineapple tea and plantain chips, which were delicious. A very wholesome experience overall.
Not sure why this place has so many good reviews. The portion sizes were very small for the price and the food was mediocre. I had selected very spicy and it was not even hotter than a mild jalapeño level of spice, from a Thai restaurant it was very disappointing. The vegetables were quality of frozen costco mixed veggies. I wish I had spent my money elsewhere, there are much better options in Orlando I could’ve spent my money at to enjoy a meal.
Delicious home-cooked authentic Thai food served by the sweetest people 🥰 very low key, dine in restaurant with great service. Can't wait to come back and bring a friend next time.
Had the worst experience of having a thai food here. Also the food was so poorly made, it created a bad feeling after having it. Ordered a sweet and sour chicken with rice. Will never recommend to anyone.
This place is a rip off AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
The food was so bland we had to re cook it ourselves and add things to it. It was 70% cabbage and carrots.
The summer rolls were half the size os anywhere else. It comes 2 in an order but size wise it's like getting 1 summer roll in total.
This is literally the worst thai place I've ever been to.
The Tom kha was the most disgusting Tom kha I've ever tasted and went straight to the trash.
They are so cheap they save on adding flavor and replace more expensive items like meat with overload of carrot and vegetable.
I feel so ripped off, what a waste of money!
