We order regularly from Aroi. It doesn't get fresher than this place. Very authentic. Great about dietary restrictions. The owners are super kind and friendly. I would give this place 10 out of 5 stars if possible.

Diner Review №2

Amazing little food truck here in Dripping. They are a small crew and it can get pretty busy on weekends, so a little patience is needed but it’s well worth the wait!

Diner Review №3

The food is always so good. Tonight was no exception. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Diner Review №4

Fantastic Thai food. Always fresh and prepared well. One of my top Thai places in Austin area.

Diner Review №5

Love this place! The curries are perfect.

Diner Review №6

Food is below average. I have had much better thai food. Not coming back here.

Diner Review №7

Diner Review №8

I eat here several times a week & this place always makes the best food around. Always recommended to friends.

Diner Review №9

The food was good. My family and I enjoyed it when I finally got it home.

The reviews about the wait time are accurate. It took a very long time, and the wait time given got changed a couple of times, which meant I drove out to pick up the food and had to sit in my car forever.

I'd go back, but needs to be during a time where I have time to kill, which isn't often.

Diner Review №10

Staff are awful. So rude. I will never order here again.

We have consistently supported this local business, despite there always being an hour and a half wait for average food.

Tonight our order was over $100 with tip (for what service?). When I arrived to pick up, I asked if we could add a peanut sauce I had forgotten upon ordering. She told me not unless I paid the 75c. I realized I had thrown my barefoot kids in the car and only brought my keys and phone, no wallet. I asked if she could comp the 75c and she turned nasty! Telling me if every other customer has to pay it why shouldn’t I pay it? Throwing up her hands, shaking her head with a disdainful look on her face!

Bye Felecia.

PS the owners responses to any negative review on here certainly shows what kind of person is running that place!

Diner Review №11

Rude and intolerable service and people. Food was average

P.S I don’t know what has this owner written in his reply; it is not relevant to our order. Just want to write something and blame someone I guess. Definitely not helpful either ways.

Diner Review №12

Diner Review №13

Highly rated food trailer. A consistently good food business for a number of years. You will never go wrong here. Everything is cooked fresh. I have been frequenting this trailer since it opened. Never once had an issue.

Diner Review №14

Always a great experience when I come here. Food always hot and fresh! My go to. The only issue is having orders on time

Diner Review №15

Diner Review №16

We got drunken noodles and their special crab fried rice for to go. They take some time to get food out, so be prepared to wait.

I was surprised to find thin rice noodles instead of the usual flat rice noodles in my drunken noodles. But nevertheless it tasted good and fresh. The crab fried rice tasted ok, could have had more crab.

The quantity felt a bit on the smaller side given the pricing, but definitely one of the better tasting thai places compared to others here in dripping springs.

Diner Review №17

Best Pad Thai I've had in 20 years! Taste the love!

Diner Review №18

Crab 🦀 fried rice 🍚 is amazing! And egg rolls

Diner Review №19

Amazing Thai food!!! Best I have had in Austin!!!! Massaman curry was to die for!

Diner Review №20

quite literally took a hour and 10 mins for some pad Thai at a food truck

Diner Review №21

We order from this place about once every week or two. My wife's favorite Beef Pad Thai. They also make a Sesame Chicken dish that's probably the best I've had. Just good, fresh food. Only catch is you have to order about 45 minutes in advance, but well worth it.

Diner Review №22

Best quick & easy Thai food we’ve had in the Austin area. Having been to Thailand, we’ve been looking for good Thai food and this place definitely measured up!

High quality and consistent food!

Diner Review №33

10/10 experience every single time I come here. It’s the best pad Thai, and the cheese rolls are unbeatable. Little heavy on the spice but that’s definitely not a complaint, just be mindful when selecting the levels. 😊 love love love this place

Diner Review №34

Diner Review №35

Not accommodating for allergies. Rude and dismissive.

Diner Review №36

Always good, Love this place.

Diner Review №37

Very good food with Suds Monkey close by. We had to wait 1 hr but worth it

Diner Review №38

Legit. More detail soon

Diner Review №39

Best Thai food in Austin, green curry is unbeatable. Limited hours and long waits (call in advance to order), totally worth it

Diner Review №40

Diner Review №42

Diner Review №43

Diner Review №46

Good food and nice people.

Diner Review №47

Best Thai in the area!

Diner Review №48

It's nice place

Diner Review №49

Great food and staff. Some of the best food in Dripping SpringswSprings. The website is not accurate on order time pickup. It may be later than expected once you place the order.

Diner Review №50

Nearly 5 starts. Don’t know what more one could ask for from Thai food.
Had the panang curry and have recommended the place to friends. Need to try more dishes to bump to 5 star.

Diner Review №51

The absolute best Thai food in the ATX area period.

Diner Review №52

Be prepared to wait.....

Diner Review №53

The food is really good but theres generally a long wait.

Diner Review №54

Food tasted great

Diner Review №55

Diner Review №56

This is hands-down the BEST Thai food in Austin. You will be so impressed by the quality of their meat and ingredients.

Diner Review №57

After eyeing this place for over 2 years I finally decided to give them a try today, and I'm so glad I did! I called ahead and was quoted a wait time of 20-25 minutes which is totally reasonable. When I arrived there my food was ready for me. I got the green curry with chicken and it is amazing. Just what I was craving! I will definitely be back!

Diner Review №58

When arrived, was told there was an hour wait. No other customers were in sight and it was dinner time. They gave me a card to order online next time. Didnt actually try the food because of the wait. The prices listed online were different than on the menu at the food truck.

Diner Review №59

Diner Review №60

Diner Review №61

Great food. Nice outside sitting area for nice weather days.

Diner Review №62

Delicious

Diner Review №63

Great food for takeout! Reasonable prices.

Diner Review №64

Diner Review №65

The food here is actually really good. Small menu, but has everything we enjoy eating at Thai restaurants. Food is fresh and tastes great. Location is really convenient for us to stop when commuting home from work. Here's the main issue for us: cannot consistently get food when call to order. Over the past four years of having a commute that drives right by, we've called to place an order for food approximately 25 to 30 times. Of those calls, we've gotten food around 10 to 12 times. We've called and been told there's only one thing available (that we were unable to eat), that they're out of the dishes we would normally order, that they're just not taking orders because they're too busy, or that the wait would be way too long to be able to make it during the normal commute. You can only call so many times and end up empty handed before you just quit calling...So we've ended up finding a way more reliable restaurant for our Thai food fix.

Diner Review №66

Really good, quick service. The Massaman curry is my favorite by far.

Diner Review №67

Fried rice is very good, portions looks small but they not..

Diner Review №68

We had pad thai and fried cheese roll. It was awesome 👏 loved it. Will order agin for tomorrow for whole family!!

Diner Review №69

Diner Review №70

Diner Review №71

Service and food was excellent !! Wish I could dine there after sunset but MOSQUITOES !!!!

Diner Review №72

Unbelievably good thai place. Hidden gem

Diner Review №73

Great tasting Thai cuisine. Soup, appetizers, spring rolls, entres, all really good. Would have been five stars even though it's trailer food except for the hour and twenty minute wait. And it's very easy to miss as you drive by.

Diner Review №74

Diner Review №75

Oh man. This food is SO GOOD. It angers me to read some of the unfair comments about this gem, because Aroi is a blessing for this area, regardless of the dangerous road.

Here’s the deal:

1) The food is fresh. They use herbs from their garden! They also use squid sauce instead of fish sauce for their Tom Yum, which helps give the broth the unique umami quality. They make their dumplings by hand!!! Never frozen!!!

2) They’re operating out of a food trailer, folks. The workers in there (3-5, depending on the night) work CONSTANTLY. Literally, the phone never stops ringing and the computer slings out orders nonstop. They work as quickly as they can. There’s a sauté station and a salad station, and that’s it, folks. It’s going to take a minute to get your garden-fresh food. I happily wait 30-40 minutes every single time, and I’d rather wait for that food than go anywhere else.

3) The portions are average. Go to a buffet if you want all-you-can-eat. That said, it would make me happier if we got a few more vegetables with the soup. It never affects my desire to keep ordering from here, though.

4) Order early!!! They run out of soup by 8pm!!!

I love this place and order often!

Diner Review №78

I’ve driven by this foodtruck for years, finally stopped by today and wish I had done so sooner. Delicious delicious I got the Tom Kha soup and the chicken peanut sauce. I’ll be back for sure!

Diner Review №79

Most authentic Thai food in town! They need to get biodegradable take out containers.

Diner Review №80

Sad. I heard the hype about this place. I placed an order 45 min to 1 hour ahead of time like they insist. When I got my food I could not even eat it. The appetizer was ok but the entree was so so bad. I was super sad because I had heard so many good things about this place. They were not helpful at all about me being unhappy with my meal. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Don’t fall for the hype. Also you have to call in an order at least an hour before to come pick it up. There are better places out there.

Diner Review №81

Highly Professional catering and delivery. Aroi delivered Tom Kha soup, some appetizers and 4 half trays of food to my home for a private function. They were punctual and very professional. The food arrived very HOT (in one of those special insulated tray carriers) which is very important for the soup. The food was very well packed and labeled - they had each condiment marked, e.g. peanut crumbles to go with Pad Thai, cilantro with soup, etc. Quantities were very generous too, and, most importantly, the food tasted good. It is nice to be able to rely on the caterer when you're having an important event.

Diner Review №82

Ok.. I’ve eaten this place so many times and have yet to review it. So.. first, the food here is amazing. Because of that, it is crazy busy! I suggest always calling your order in ahead of time because the wait is always around 1 hour. Not a big deal to me if you plan ahead.

Also, the portions are pretty big. My wife and I split a Chicken Pad See Ewe and a Chicken Basil Fried Rice with an order of egg rolls. It’s plenty for two!

The Pad See Ewe is the best I’ve ever had. The Pad Thai is great as well.

We have also tried the Sesame Chicken. It was really tasty but a smaller portion.

The Drunken Noodle was awesome but a bit spicy for me. If you like the spice, that’s a great one.

Overall, phenomenal little Thai kitchen. Always call ahead!

Diner Review №83

Always good!

Diner Review №84

Consistently delicious! What more need I say.

Diner Review №85

Can't wait to get back!

Diner Review №86

Best pad se ew I’ve ever had. We eat here at least once a week!

Diner Review №87

I know good Thai. This place is worth it. Go and enjoy:)

Diner Review №88

Diner Review №89

Always consistantly delivering good food. Quick and easy.

Diner Review №90

Pretty bad thai food. The first order of pad thai had no flavor. Felt like eating raw noodles. The remade one was too watery and was very hot. Maybe it was just this order. But the chef and the host being rude about the whole interaction didnt help.

Diner Review №91

Great place plz don't go there I love it and I hate you

Diner Review №92

The lady that answers the phone is rude as can be, she has hung up on several on my girl several time trying to order food. We haven't been to this place in two months prior because of rude staff and orders coming out wrong. Though we would give it another gonand it didn't end any better.

Diner Review №93

Excellent. Love the food and the staff. Shhhhhhh!! Don’t tell anybody lol Would like to keep this gem to myself 😘

Diner Review №94

Diner Review №95

Pretty damn good food. I got the veggie delight, or the veggie lover - I'm not sure which - with added tofu, for $9.20. It was plenty of food to fill me up and it was very tasty.

The woman at the front, and the cook were both polite. I don't know what exactly other reviewers have to complain about with this place.

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

The food is so so so good. I love thai food and this place rocks. I like the drunken noodles.

Diner Review №98

Best thai food in town!

Diner Review №99

Very good food, convenient location, and friendly staff. Highly recommended if you like Asian cuisine.

Diner Review №100

Food is nice and reasonable priced, portion is decent. Authentic thai food, the thai fried rice and fried kwey teow is good!

Diner Review №101

Awesome food!

Diner Review №102

Fresh and spicy everything you want in authentic Thai.

Diner Review №103

Despite the long wait, the food was very good. The chicken peanut sauce, particularly (although not available the first time I went). The sesame chicken was good, but not spectacular by any means. I will definitely go back.

Diner Review №104

The blonde that takes orders is rude! She told me an hour wait, when I checked on my order at 30 minutes, she said it would be an additional hour wait! My 9 year old daughter was there and said, you told us an hour wait, not an hour and a half. The chick proceeded to tell us that she wasnt going to talk to us. Wow, she stood at the window, and acted like we weren’t there! I had to yell through the window, over her, to ask for a manager! Very poor customer service from her. This was our first experience here. If the service is any indication of the food, I fear we will be disappointed!

Update: The portions were small, especially considering the cost! I was told the portion would fill one side of the large foam container. When we actually received our food, the servings were placed in a smaller foam box than originally shown to us.
The pad tai was dry, the noodles had little sauce, and the chicken was over cooked. The peanut sauce in the peanut chicken was more water than anything, and lacked flavor. The pad se ewe was decent, but the chicken was also over cooked. Considering the food quality and quantity, the cost, and the terrible and rude service, we will not be returning for a second visit. This Thai place needs a major overhaul if they intend to keep pace with the growing Dripping Springs community. They need better service, better quality food, and more realistic serving size for the cost. This is Texas.....we like Texas size portions, sweetheart service, and a shebang for our buck!

Diner Review №105

Great flavors! Portions are a little small. Soup burnt my mouth it was so hot. Different ingredients than we are used to from San Diego. I'll be back to try more!!

Diner Review №106

This used to be my favorite place. Especially in this area, finding really good authentic Asian food is difficult (for lack of a better word). I absolutely loved this place up until this evening. The service from the original staff was always excellent, until they hired some new young girls that just ruined the experience.... but I let that slide and kept going, the food was that good. But today’s experience has left me with a “too strong to ignore” sour taste. The food is still good but the portion.... has gone DOWN! I mean, noticeably so. If they reduced the food portion by a little, that would have been tolerable, but by half???? They cut the portion in half. That is something in a growing business I cannot support. Just because you become a popular place to dine doesn’t mean you get to start short changing people. They are definitely making enough money and it’s not like their meat portions were all that great to start with..... hopefully this changes back to normal, but I’m not sure I’m really willing to risk it. Sad, I really liked having Thai food near me.

Diner Review №107

Diner Review №108

Food is good, but service is lacking at times. Third time in a row that they have quit lunch before the advertised 2pm. As soon as Torchy's Tacos opens across the street, I will be going there. Take care.

Diner Review №109

This is the best option for Thai and Thai inspired food in Austin. Flavors are authentic and the quality is always excellent. I won't name names but this place makes other Thai establishments seem like a good idea only if you are on the verge of starvation. I've seen some knocks on the service here but I've never been frustrated. It's a popular trailer and who am I to complain that they get busy some times? Hours are atypical but it's their business - I'll let them run it.

Diner Review №110

Food was amazing! We're definitely going back . Only thing that would've made it better is some spicy Thai chilli oil!

Diner Review №111

Diner Review №112

Their food is decent but today I called at 1:42 and there was no answer so I headed to the trailer figuring I would order when I got there. I arrived at 1:55 to a closed sign. When I asked them they said the last order is at 1:40. She should have answered the phone instead of having me drive all the way there to a closed sign. Also, if the last order is at 1:40 you should put you close at 1:40. Super frustrating! Guess I got to enjoy Tia's kitchen instead!

Diner Review №113

Pad Thai noodles...excellent!

Diner Review №114

Best Thai around.

Diner Review №115

If you are looking for one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in Austin, Aroi is it! This quaint food truck's cuisine is reminiscent of the food I recently fell in love with while traveling through Thailand. Try the pad Thai with chicken. If you are brave, ask for level 5 spicy! Call ahead if you are in a hurry.

Diner Review №116

Excellent

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №118

Diner Review №119

Awesome Massaman(no, really - awesome); fried rice is superb. The dumplings (in particular, that sauce) are splendid. I'm going back soon! It might even become a regular thing for us. Really delicious!

Diner Review №120

Call in at least 40 min before you want to eat.

Diner Review №121

Good quality thai food. Order by phone and pick up!. Courteous and nice people

Diner Review №122

My favorite Pad See Ew of all time. The wait is long sometimes but it is so worth it to me. It is a small place with a small staff, thats why the food is so good! Service is always friendly even if they are crazy busy. I usually call ahead during peak hours.

Diner Review №123

My only complaint is that they're too busy sometimes and dead others which makes it tough to judge when you should call in your order if you want to eat at a specific time (like after the kiddo goes to bed).

Other than that, the food is great. The spice level is exponential though so beware if you're looking for something a little more than mild.

Diner Review №124

Diner Review №125

Too bad they don't plan accordingly. "No more orders!" Or "We're so behind we're not cooking anymore."
It gets old.

Diner Review №126

Excellent options, you can't go wrong. I suggest ordering ahead to save time. Lots of outdoor seating.

Diner Review №127

Diner Review №128

Diner Review №129

OMG, the best Thai food in Texas, perhaps the US. I actually lived in Thailand for several years and Aroi Thai is certainly that ('aroi' means delicious in Thai). I've tried the Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mau), Vegi delight, Cashew Chicken, Egg Rolls, and a few other items and all were amazing! They often run out of food in the evening so come early and enjoy!

Diner Review №130

Diner Review №131

Diner Review №132

I love this place...

Diner Review №133

The food is good, when you can get it. Just went this evening and ordered two items to go at the window. Was told 20-25 minutes. A whole line of people came about 10 minutes after us. Most had called ahead but for 2 other orders, who also ordered at the window. After waiting 40 minutes and seeing one of the other window orders get their food before us, did I go and check on our order. I was told another 20 minutes because of the call in orders. I requested my money back and went somewhere else. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!

Diner Review №134

Aroi is some of the best Thai food that I have had in the states. Having been fortunate enough to travel to Thailand on multiple occasions and spend a good amount of time there, I feel like I have a pretty good read on the cuisine. The food here is great, the Pad Thai (ask for it extra spicy) is the best in Austin. The fried rice is also very good. Portions are great for the price, and you can't beat the owners, splendid people. I eat here two times a week, and have done so for the past 6 months, I have yet to be disappointed.

If it is during the lunch rush, it is best to call ahead, but if you don't, not to worry sit and enjoy the fresh air under the live oak canopy.

Diner Review №135

Love the Drunken Noodles and Shrimp in a blanket! Call ahead to avoid the wait!

Diner Review №136

awesome food, owners are nice too!

Diner Review №137

best veggie soup!

Diner Review №138

Great spring rolls
