We love this place! Hotpot dishes are what we normally order. Dine in at least 2+ time a month. I actually like the new app that you can place order on phone, they still have paper menu if needed. βCreate your own hot potβ is the best option and each time they deliver the perfect flavor. Pork egg rolls and cashew chicken are delicious too. So far every dishes we ordered are exceptional.
Food was delicious and the service was great. Our server made sure we had everything we needed throughout our time here. The atmosphere had great music and the place was very clean. We enjoyed the kimchi fried rice, fresh spring rolls, dry hot pot and lemongrass soup. An amazing place to eat recommend for anyone that needs a quick bite to eat.
Every time we want to eat out we come to this place but today it was very disappointing. I got veggie spring rolls and literally we paid almost $15 for rice paper and lettuce. It was supposed to have noodles and tofu.., and it was very empty. We are not coming back. I get it people are trying to save as much money as possible but this is how you lose business.
Food was gooood! Walked past this restaurant several times and never knew what I was missing. This will be a new spot for us!!
Amazing food. Service fantastic. We ordered Tom yum Kai. Dry beef lemongrass. Chicken panang curry. Definitely going back.
Great food
I had ordered from this place once before without issue, and thought Iβd try it again. Got food poisoning from the Pra Ram, it was the only thing I ate that day. They deleted my review from door dash so Iβm leaving a review here so that people are aware that they are lax in their food handling procedures, and may get sick from improperly handled food.
Great curry noodle soup. Owners are very friendly. My son loves them alot.

Got the beef szechuan hot pot soup for $17.95 ($19 with tax) and it was good, the broth was very flavorful but i think that for the price it should have at least double the meat. The food was good but slightly overpriced. The menu is online only and you order through a website too (even when dinning in). Also parking is limited so be on the lookout.
The red curry was amazing!
Solid Thai spot! The fried rice, curry and noodles are all bomb.
Everything was amazing. Best Thai food Iβve had in Texas.
Amazing place, amazing people β€οΈπ―
Great this food! Not greasy at all
Hot pot here was amazing so tasty and the right zest of spice. The service was quick and efficient. I will definitely be back to this place if Iβm in Austin again.
Worst Pad Thai and Tom Kha soup Iβve ever had. The soup tasted like dirty dishwater mixed with coconut milk and some spices. The noodles lacked any real Pad Thai flavor, and were super oily. Tofu was mushy and gross. 0/10 Iβm so disappointed I spent actual money on this. Iβve never written a review in my life, but this food was so awful I had to.
Foods are generally a bit too sweet for my taste. The servers are super nice
So delicious, and the spice levels are serious. Get there and plan to stay a while. There are too many tasty dishes on the menu to pick just one.
We're hooked on the spicy dry pot! Always so satisfying, and while rice is recommended, I prefer it over their udon noodles.
Muy ricas las sopas la de curry sea food esta riquΓsima hay bariedad
Have never had a bad dish here. The owners are very friendly.
The good is fabulous and I like their curries more than any other Thai restaurants in the area. The custom hot pots are also extremely good. The ambience is ok but service and food are excellent.
Please do not come here, this place is not sanitary and service is extremely bad. I have my service dog with me. It is a common practice to not touch or interact with service animals unless authorized by the trainer. The owner proceeded to threaten my service dog with their iPad and pushed the iPad to my service dogβs face. The owner thought it was a game to play with my service dog. My service dog felt threaten and reacted to the uncomfortable approach. The staff needs to be re-trained with common service animal etiquette.
Try their build your own soups, healthy and yummy
AMAZING FOOD! Hot pot and special soup noodles were the best! Definitely try this place
Chill Thai restaurant with legit food! We had their Pad Thai and chicken curry and it was fantastic!
This food was gross!!!!!! GROSS! I would never ever recommend anything that isnβt the hot pot. The food I paid for was 15-18$ for the quality of 5$ Asian food. Youβre honestly better going to Panda Express down the block.
I donβt like to give bad reviews
But highly disappointed with the food
I ordered online I donβt about the service and atmosphere
The food is always great here!!
Excellent food! I spent 13 years in the Navy and visited Thailand several times, this is good Thai food...THE BEST I'VE HAD IN AUSTIN. I would have included pictures but I was too busy eating lol. I will add pictures next time. I highly encourage you to try this restaurant and I recommend either a hot pot of your liking or the Drunken Noodle. The attached photos show the same dishes ordered over several visits and show that the food is very consistent. The food is so good there may be a wait...WAIT! Not open on Tuesday.
Ive been coming here for years now and nothing will ever compare to how much i love this place just GO!! and try the schezuan hot pot!
The pad Thai was gross. It was very tasteless. The other food we ordered was gross and salty as well. And it was 17$!!! For gross pad Thai?!
I donβt recommend this place. It seems like the hotpot is good but everything else is gross as we ordered a lot of food. Shouldβve ordered the hot pot, oh well.
The food was delicious, coming in hot! Waitress is very helpful and patient! 2 thumbs up!
Our favorite place to eat, bar none, based on the number of times we visit here monthly. The food is delicious, and the hot pot combinations are endless. The owners are great and always stop by to chat with us and keep up with how things are going. Get there... enjoy yourself!
We ordered pad thai and thai fried rice. Pad thai was dry and dull. Thai fried rice was dry and salty. Not sure if the cook/management was replaced but it is hard to believe this place has a rating of 4.2.
Their pineapple curry is my favorite thing. Tastes like pure joy πππ
Great little spot! Relaxed atmosphere, easy to order, and kind staff! Very careful with peanut
allergies, as well. And best of all, really good Thai food! Pineapple curry is great!

For a first timer, I I guess I just ordered the wrong thing, I get so confused when it comes to this kind of food. Although I like it but I just got the wrong bowl. Everything on their menu looks sooo delicious. I will forsure be going back to order something different.
Photos shows what I ordered. Their white rice is really good.
I got take out and the heat of the broth went through my bag and got on my seat π so ask to double bag.
Everything was super easy. Food was great. Any wait to try more dishes
Have been coming here for years and itβs literally one of my favorite Thai places ever. Hands down one of THE best ramen Iβve ever had! I love how youβre able to customize your own hot pot. The owners are very nice & Iβve always had great experiences here <3
Loved - must order again
β’ Hot pot - green curry, chicken, ramen, potatoes, corn, mushrooms, meatball. I made it extra spicy. **. Easily for 2 people
β’ Spicy Basil Stir Fry chicken ******
β’ Noodle Soup. Panang Curry **
β’ Pad Kee Mao
Pretty Good
β’ Panang Curry. Itβs not the thick type
β’ Egg Rolls
Ok
β’ Pad Thai
Did not like
β’ Lemon grass hot pot
I canβt believe this place has been here for 7 years and Iβm just now finding out about it!!! My boyfriend and I built our own hot pots. We tried the yellow curry and szechuan broths (we ate family style) and they were sooo good! It was really nice that we got to customize everything that went into it. The employees were attentive and friendly, making the atmosphere feel homey. We canβt wait to come back again!
Thai is my favorite cuisine and Iβm always looking for good Thai. I was hoping this spot would be a new fave since itβs close to our new neighbor. Sadly, it was not. In fact, it was the worst Thai food Iβve ever had in my life π we both tried their special - choice of noodles w choice of curry. I opted for the green curry with flat rice noodles and shrimp. The portion was ample, the flavor was pleasant, but the dish itself was a big soupy mess. And I couldnβt believe that they use frozen carrots, peas, and corn medley for their vegetable. Most Thai places will bring out some fresh basil for garnish, but they did not. When I asked for it, the basil arrived warm and limp. Apparently, they steam it, which was strange. The worst part was that my one bowl was $17. Iβm giving them 2 stars because our server was very sweet.
By far the best tasting thai food in Austin period!!! Absolutely authentic and delicious. We love thai food and checks out every thai restaurant when visiting a new city or state. I placed a to go order today and each bite was worth the trip. We have tried many thai food in the austin area and this restaurant is by far the best tasting. None of the restaurants ce close. Absolutely delicious thai restaurant around and trust me when I say I am very picky about food and thai food in general. You will not regret it. Absolutely delicious!!!!!! π―
Austin hidden Gem
I don't see how the reviews could be lower then 5 because this place is literally so good and flavorful. The red curry hot pot is probably the best one here, but you can't go wrong with the other flavors too! The owners are also so sweet! Definitely our favorite hot pot spot to go to!
Had a chicken pad thai and veggie spring roll at a big event tonight. The spring roll was delicious - hot and fresh and crispy! Keep in mind, this was a big event and he had preprepared boxes so extra kudos my friend! The chicken pad thai was good too, even after picking out the chicken (vegetarian). Want to hit this truck up on a regular day and try the Tofu dishes!
Ordered curry fried rice - worst one ever had.
Too pricy as well for the taste and quality.
The dishes werenβt like Thai but Asian fusion. Tasted a bit too salty for me.
Donβt come here if you are looking for authentic Tom Kha.
The BEST Pad See Ew I ever had!! My to-go container was stuffed with beef, broccoli, carrots, noodles, and egg. So GOOD!! I ate it all in my car while writing this review.
The woman behind the counter was so kind and welcoming. Iβm telling everyone about this place!!
Lemon grass hot plate under Chef's Specials is one of the best dishes in Austin. So good!
Big portions, spicy foods, lots of veggies.
Awesome hot pot!
Couple of days back, I ordered food from this restaurant through GrubHub, and it was a delightful experience. The cashew nut entree with Tofu was a flavorful stir-fry featuring green onions, bell peppers, carrots, and cashew nuts, all perfectly complemented by the tofu and a hint of roasted dry hot chili. The vegetable thai fried rice, made with jasmine rice, egg, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, and crispy garlic, was a delightful side. The food was well-seasoned and delivered in a timely manner. This restaurant has certainly earned my recommendation for its delicious thai cuisine, and I look forward to ordering from them again.
i have been here 6 times now with friends and tried enough to say everything is AMAZING, i love all the hotpot options and they're perfect to split. Also a huge fan of the appetizers and the thai tea (one of the better ones i've had in Austin)
Best deep fried spring rolls every
My wife loves hot pot, not my thing so the individual hot pot here is a big win for us! She loves it and I get the Pad See Ew and the kids love the satay - the lady I think is the owner is very nice too
The best yellow curry hot pot place ever! Love this special place as a cute and yummy date night spot!
Basil Thai has the best comfortable food for me in a healthy way. I like pick the soup and meat and vegetables by myself from the menu to make an individual hot pot! When I was pregnant I ate the food, and now my children like eating with me together! The place is very clean. The speed of serving is fast in regular hours. In high peak hours, the waiting time is also reasonable! The service is wonderful-always welcoming and kind and considerate. I like the spacious seating space! How comfortable when I am sitting with my children without stresses being to close to others. This restaurant accompanied me for years and gave me comfort and good food for many important days-for when I was pregnant, for I was busy for work, for I was dating with my husband, for I was having fun with my good friends, for I felt sick and needed comfortable soup, for I was eating with my children to make them feel happy, for my husband hanging out with his friends, for when we treated our visitors and families! So many beautiful memories!
Tom kha kai Soup is soo good
Food is delicious. I tasted the sea food curry and it was awesome.
I went to Basil Thai during my lunch break. I walked here because it is close to were I work. The lady that attended me was polite and attentive. I got rice with shrimp, chicken and veggies. I also got a Thai drink which was milky and it looked orange as shown in picture. It was very good!
Great soup!
Nice Thai place that specializes in Hot Pot! We got the Drunken noodles and Panang curry, both were delicious! The Drunken noodles especially were very flavorful. Next time we will try the hot pot, we didn't this time because we came for lunch. The prices are very reasonable too, cheaper than a lot of other Thai places in town.
Service was quick and friendly. I got the Tom Yum Goong. Very nice. With thai iced tea.
Good thai food! Large portion size!
Not sure how this place had been getting bad reviews, but I've been coming here for years! I like to get the individual custom hot pots, so I can't speak too much on their other dishes. Their broths tend to be thinner, but keeping in mind the experience of hot pot and having your add-ins flavor your broth, they do a good job. I used to get the szechuan Mala broth, which is super spicy and good for this pepper head, but opted for the panang curry (spicy) with the lamb and curry combo inside it this week. My friend got the miso broth for his (mild) and we both really loved our dishes! The staff is super nice, it was clean, and the food was delicious (great portion size too and I get to take some leftovers hehe). It might not be the best hot pot in town, but it definitely hits the spot and is a great value!
This is my second time to eat here. Both times the food was great. The service was wonderful. This is a great place to meet friends or family for a great meal.
Always gr8!
The food was great, service was fast and very friendly. Highly recommend, will visit again soon.
I was excited to try this place, but it didn't pan up to expectations. You order at your table from your phone, which is okay, but my preferred method. I ordered noodles, and my husband got wings. I felt both were cooked in rancid oil. The flavors were off, and I did not enjoy the meal. I typically live Thai food, so this was really disappointing.
The food was excellent, had thw Pad Thai (medium spic)e) and thw Pork egg rolls. Both items were very good could be more attentive when it comes to refilling or refreshing drinks. Initial delivery of drinks after ordering was quick. I had to flag someone down to get a new drink and with sitting still eating the Ice water (second drink once flagging down someone) was not refilled.
Their soup is the bomb
Probably one of the best meals Iβve ever had in Austin in the past decade. I did the βmake your own hot potβ and it was sooo good. The Szechuan soup base is SPICY even if you get it at the lowest spice level but it was soooooooo good!! And the udon noodles were absolutely amazing. Iβm definitely coming back over and over again!
Consistently good. Great taste. Huge amounts. Friendly and Homey βΊοΈ
went here with my boyfriend for dinner. great food and service. food came out pretty fast too :)
Good vegetarian Thai options. The food is tasty. Ordering happens on a smartphone. Would be better if they added a few more hot sauces. They have Wi-Fi, too. I tried the cashew stir fry one time and eggplant stir fry next time. Both were good. Service is fast.
This place is my go to for hot pot and delicious Asian food. Inexpensive and delicious!
Worst food
This place is amazing. I get to choose all my ingredients for the individual hotpot. The coconut milk hotpot is one of the best hot pots Iβve ever had. The staff are very friendly. 10/10
First time I went, the food was amazing. The food quality was consistent every time I visit. Service is amazing, food is amazing. I just keep going back for the "create your hot pot" item and it always keeps me smiling. If you want spice, that's the place to go.
We had high expectation but was cruelly crushed. The pad woon sen was bad. The Basil pork (pad kra pao) was very bad. The tom kha gai was just a watery mess. All the dishes did not taste like Thai food at all. Very disappointed, I am not sure if this was due to us showing up at 30 minutes before closing time and the main cook was gone or this is how it usually is.
Update: So the owner replied the following - apparently in private.
Response from the owner
I know you and understand you. Using a advanced ordering system is not easy. Study harder please.
Funny! The problem is with the food. Not ordering system. But if you think you have a higher education than me. More power to you. However, for a restaurant, I think the quality of the food is more important.
I absolutely love this place. The food is great! You can make so many combinations with the curry. Big portions. So flavourful. At this point I'm getting food to go a few days a week. You got to try it!
It was an amazing time eating at basil thai! I got the tom yum seafood individual hotpot and it was wayyyy too good. The flavor was just so familiar to what my grandma always cooks for me. Perfectly seasoned and the portion was perfectly portioned. The server was so nice too. If you go here, please make sure try the individual hotpot.
We Love this place! Plus the owners are so amazing! This is our ABSOLUTE go to for hot pot!
Delicious food, generous portions and very reasonably priced. I ordered a hot soup online, picked it up and it was still hot when I got home. It was very tasty. I really enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
I always get the make-your-own hotpot here. While its not exactly the Chinese hotpot that I crave, its still pretty good on a cold day.
Im a new fan of this place, to start, i like the way you scan the Menu and pick the items you want and the options to the item you pick, i liked how they bring you the beer in the bottle to pour it your way with a cold beer mug, i order the Chefs special Lemon Grass Chicken, Tom Kah Soup and (2) XX beers all for my self and everything was real good, i do recommend that you choose the right spicy level, oh the staff was quick and polite, i 100% recommend this place and will definitely come back πππ
The quality was horrible, the pad Thai didnβt even taste like the dish. The curry was literally soup and the actual Tom kha soup was so watery. Do not recommend
I got sick fr eating here it was just one time I tried and was throwing up for hours
Everyone can get their own hotpot with customizable toppings. I got a shrimp panang curry that was quite tasty but itβs a but sweet for me. It comes with a fire to keep the personal pot hot, but the soup is actually more enjoyable when it turns off.
Plenty of parking in the lot, and service was really quick. Ordering was a little confusing but everyone got what they needed.
We try this hotpot place and the dishes were just beyond our expectativas. They taste and smell just so good.
This place is good. I really liked the taste of the yellow curry, however I up charged to have chicken and only got two pieces (disappointing) and the tomatoes weren't needed, the Chicken satay was okay-ish (I have had way better). The star of the show was the chicken egg rolls! Perfection!!!
We love this place! Best red and green curry weβve found in the area
The food was amazing. The green curry had the perfect amount of ginger. Good options for vegetarians as well.
Cool concept, decent execution. Ordered a pad thai and a build your own hot pot. Flavors were a little too sweet for our liking, not the usual authentic thai robust flavors. Both dishes were missing that punch that most Thai places have. The concept of the hot pot was the main reason for getting the 3 stars.
The food is great, the service and decor could use some improvements. Nice mom and po operation.
Ordered from GrubHub and they messed up the rice (asked for no egg). Ok, it happens. Submitted a complaint to GrubHub and re-ordered the dish with NO EGG. Well, wouldnβt you knowβ¦ the rice showed up for a SECOND time with egg. This place is usually great but it looks like theyβve gone down the drain just like every other service business these days. Labor shortage or no, I wonβt be back.
Short version: food was TOO SPICY HOT.
I ordered for a party of kids and specifically asked for some mild and some medium dishes. What was delivered was XXX hot food and the kids went home hungry. It was not one dish, but all their dishes were super hot. Mind you, I can eat spicy food but this one I cannot eat.
I called the store and the owner refused to accept that their food might have issues. For example, they probably got a more potent batch of chillies. He kept repeating that that is their spiciness standard. If that is your standard, buyer beware, and taste it before paying for it.
Delicious!
Fabulous Thai food....love their hot pots and egg rolls.
Pretty good and very close to authentic Thai food.
Has a wide variety of noodles, curries, noodle soups and fried rice too!
Polite staff and decent prices.
Some dishes can be spicy but definitely tasty.
Definitely worth a visit.
Honestly an underrated hole in the wall. Build your own hotpot, is what I usually come for and it never disappoint. The Broth are flavorful and the toppings is enough to make you full. Amazing chicken wings and satay, I only tell a select few about this place because itβs a family own business with what seems like two employees. Please be patient with them.
Great portions on the pad thai
I had a lamb hot pot with tom kha broth/soup here. It was so good. The broth and the lamb were well-seasoned and tasted just right. Too bad that I forgot to take a photo of it. There's one thing I didn't expect is that the portion was much smaller than I thought and so it was only good for one person.
Gr8 food
I ordered an individual hotpot with kimchi broth. The broth was awful. It was weirdly sweet, didnβt even taste like kimchi. I couldβve sworn this was some sort of variation of tomato soup.
This place takes "Build your own bowl" to a whole other level.
Absolutely loved the level of customization you can do with your meal.
Went there with a vegetarian buddy, and he was just as happy with his meal.
As a spice lover, I absolutely loved the schezwan soup base. Was much more in terms of flavor than it was raw heat.
That and the choice of noodle and 4 sides, made it all that much better.
My buddy picked a Thai yellow curry, which he said he absolutely loved. (It's pretty mild... So if you're not a huge fan of spice, then that's a good option to go for.)
Portion wise, it's a lot of noodles and soup in a very deep soup bowl.
And you can ask for chopsticks if you're a fan of that.
Attached a photo of the bill for how much you're likely to pay for noodle soup (the ones described above) for a party of 2.
(Note that all meats cost $12.95, except for shrimp which is a dollar on top of that)
If you're not a huge fan of building your own bowl, you can pick one off their menu.
Between that, there's also a single person hotpot, and other options as well.
Will most certainly visit again if I'm in the area
Love this place so much! The lady that works in the front is so so nice (I think she might be the owner) is one of the reasons we keep coming back! I always get the create your own noodle soup with thai panang curry base! My husband gets the crest your own hot pot with yellow curry and he loves it as well! Their thai tea is also amazing, I usually get one to go for after our meal.
Ordered curry fired rice and food was bad. The rice was half cooked and the rice used was not jasmine (Thai) rice. Never had such a fired rice in Thai restaurant.
First time trying this was a good experience at best.
The restaurants was clean and the staffed welcomed me in, never try Thai food in my life and got the drunkin noodles with chicken little spicy and beef egg rolls.
The egg rolls definitely surprised me as it was crispy and the meat was alittle tender and steaming hot.
The noodles were decent but the chicken was over cooked or cheaper cut used, it was rubber and dry.
For the price of what I got was cheap and probably goes hand and hand for the quality of the food for the prices.
Still good try and definitely interested in what else they have to offer.
