The fried rice had shrimp and squid 🐙 very taste in my opinion that was the seafood fried rice, next the egg rolls very taste and big not your typical Chinese food ones if you know what I mean, then was the fried sushi bomb, tuna salmon and crab.... delicious!!!!! Next was sashimi dinner, basically all your sushi raw fish on display..... super tastee!!!! And of course we went to watch some football games there and had some coronas to wash the food down with. The sushi here is FANTASTIC! They serve excellent quality fish that is very fresh and tasty, the portion sizes are fairly generous, and the pricing is mostly reasonable. And, although I only got takeout, the service was great. If/when I travel back to Amarillo, I would definitely eat here again.

We were politely greeted and seated immediately. The place was vibrant, clean, and the music was a vibe as well. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and took great care of us. The food, fresh sushi, can’t remember the name of the roll we tried, but it was 10/10. Egg rolls were large and crunchy! Also 10/10. The green curry and orange chicken were also amazing. The curry was robust in flavor and the orange chicken was zesty and not over saturated with sauce. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful place for yummy, fresh food and great service! The owner said a 2nd location should be opening in late June or July off of Soncy.

This was my third time coming to Oishii. The first time was as a couple. The 2nd time was with one other couple (4ppl). Both of those times we sat at the sushi bar. We got drinks, sushi, and other menu items. It was great service, from our Waitress and the chefs creating masterpieces. Today we got a to-go order. Everything was fresh, delicious an priced right! Everyone works together to make sure the customer is top priority! The prices are good, and the food is incredible. There is such an amazing atmosphere, you almost don't want to leave. This is a Must-Go to place!

Decided to try this place with my son and I happen to love Asian food, especially sushi. I checked the menu before going and I liked what I saw. We started off with the cheese wonton, which came out crispy with great flavor. We ordered the Amarillo Roll, the Oishii Special Roll (fried and highly recommended), Mango Paya Roll, Ebi and Sweet potato Roll. They all had great flavor and I loved all of them. The rolls were good sized and filled us up quick. We ended up taking some home. I also ordered the Tuna Poke bowl for work tomorrow. They kindly packed it separately so I can heat up the rice and add the Tuna Poke after. We ordered Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. If you haven't had Thai Tea before, try it, you'll love it!!! Our waitress was awesome and I will definitely head back!! Go try it y'all, you won't be disappointed.

Finally comes back and asks if we are ready to order, so we ended up putting in our whole order at once cause we didn’t know when she would be back to do anything for us. We finally got our appetizer, then my kids got their food and my husband got his sushi, and I was still waiting on mine for 20 mins, and when she came back, everyone was ready to go. Found out my sushi had been just sitting there. I was being really nice about the whole thing considering it was Valentine’s Day, and that they were busy, but she had checked on her other six tables multiple times, and just acted as if she really didn’t care about us. I made her take my sushi off cause I never got it and it had just been sitting there for who know exactly how long. We just had the worst experience dining in and it was very upsetting cause we have always gotten take out, and enjoy the food! But the service was not very attentive. I decided to today to get take out cause my daughter really likes their house soup, and she wasn’t feeling well, and I order a large for 7.99 that’s a 32 oz container. Called to ask them if their sizes changed all of a sudden or if they had someone new thinking they just made a mistake yes they were very understanding, and would replace it next time but we live 30 mins outside of town, and they just acted like they just didn’t care! I’ve never been the one to complain, but I’m very disappointed with the services I have had with them in a two day period.

We came here for lunch and sat at the sushi bar. We were given a bowl of amazing broth based soup with mushrooms and scallions, it was delicious. We enjoyed salmon and yellowtail sushi pieces and a spicy scallop roll and a three season roll. All we’re outstanding. They didn’t have ama ebi or uni which was disappointing but everything was top notch. The bathrooms are clearly marked and very clean. The service was the right level of attentiveness. In the background behind the sushi bar they had a TV on with the sound muted that displayed lovely pictures of Japan, it was very relaxing.

Whether for date night or family night, you can't go wrong. Their sushi is fresh and flavorful. They have a great variety of dishes. Everything is so delicious. I can't wait to go back.

I absolutely love this place I’ve eaten here about 10 times now. Their pho is absolutely amazing soooo delicious! My boyfriend and I always devour the sushi platters. I brought my sister once and tried her orange chicken and can confidently say it’s the best of amarillo! The handcrafted drinks are strong but very good. I order the mango sticky rice as a sweet treat to myself all the time. I’m making Oishii my birthday dinner spot.

I have been twice, both times i received great service and even better food. Loves the salmon sashimi and had the joy of being there while the imported tuna was available. Very great sushi and fresh sashimi! Love stopping by here for lunch or dinner!

The food and service were both excellent! Delicious sushi, orange chicken and salmon, and our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive. I also appreciate the entertaining things they play on their TV’s lol will be back for sure!

I went there yesterday, it was excellent One of my new favorite places in Amarillo. I sat at the bar and met the chef He’s an impressive man and very skilled The food and service were great.

Suspicious place. The name for appetizers on their menu is tapas but that's Spanish not Asian. Their Rangoon are called wontons but those aren't wontons and their menu suggests they couldn't decide what theme to go with and doesn't fit very well.

Love it .awesome service

Was visiting Amarillo for work and wasn’t sure about a sushi place in the panhandle but I was pleasantly surprised. This place was awesome and on par with sushi places in Austin. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was my favorite but the sushi was just so great in general. Also a great selection of sakes and a great atmosphere. Hidden gem!

First visit and was impressed! Staff and owner very friendly. Food was very good, sit at the bar and get spicy fish salad!!! We ordered the salmon bomb with strawberries 😋! I enjoy spicy food and the devils roll was amazing with assorted fish. My wife also ordered spicy cowgirl and it was very good.

Recently heard about this establishment. We have to gone to Rain for years, that has officially changed! The food is to die for, friendly staff, laid back atmosphere (where we can actually hold a conversation), clean, and did I mention the food?!!! This will be our go to when we come to amarillo for another date night!

Huge portions!

Knowing the restaurant owner and chefs are not Japanese, I can compromise somewhat but still it's too far different from Japanese food. It's not Japanese, it's not Thai food. Then, what is it???They need to learn what Japanese food like and taste.
I feel sorry for customers, who believe this is Japanese food.

this place has a great vibe, very nicely decorated, and the food was great ordered sticky rice and chicken wings with tomato sauce very good sauce spicy and thick not runny, and the firecracker roll very fresh and delicious.

Excellent fresh sushi and sashimi, large portions and great value. I'm always a little leery of inland sushi joints but this place rocks. Fish arrives fresh every other day and the quality of even the accompaniments like sauces show close attention to detail and pride in their food. I review very few places but felt like this standout restaurant should be recognized and recommended.

It was not as awesome as we thought it was going to be. The food was bland and therefore overpriced.

The sushi was good, the spicy chicken was good and can be extremely spicy if you ask for it, the service was fast and she was sweet. The restaurant is clean, calm, and quiet, I like it.

We just found this hidden gem! The sushi is so fresh and fairly priced. We loved the tuna and salmon sashimi. The pad won sen was awesome and a huge portion. The basil fried rice was also a good portion and so tasty! Great value and wonderful staff!

Food is good been there 3 times and will never go back. I order mild for my family and medium for me. Called to explain my daughter and wife's meal was littered with red pepper flakes and more spicy than my medium but before I got my sentence out manager tried to tell me all their food comes with peppers on top. Which is a lie because like I said been there 2 other times and my family could eat it because mild=no spice. 1* the atmosphere because I want to be an @$$ it's not that bad

Frequented this establishment upon two occasions, and what a hidden treasure Amarillo Texas has! Large portions created by the chefs! Service was prompt and energetic.

Food of the gods. Came here to expand my pallet and was not let down. Been here 1 time and it was an instant hit. That cherry peach sake cocktails has got to be one of the best drinks I've ever had. 10/10

The food is inconsistent. I have visited this place 4 times now, the first time we had great service and food. Since then, it has gotten worse each time. The menu seems to be going through changes each time as well. This last time, our sushi roll was missing ingredients that were stated to be on it, in the menu. When we asked about it, we were told it's because they were changing the menu, and something must have gotten lost in translation. Our server did bring us the missing ingredient on the side. I don't know if I will be going back, which is sad because I really liked this place when they first opened.

The food was so disgusting. We spent 60$ on three things. Couldn’t even eat the food it was so bad. They also charge you .50¢ for a 1oz Togo sauce. The service was also horrible, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The food was very good and the waitress was new, but very attentive despite being busy. The only complaint would be the tv playing videos of Japanese food being prepared such as beef tripe, which isn’t at all appetizing and was an odd choice to play on a loop.

Wonderful sushi and other Japanese fare here! Sapporo and Asahi beer available. Recommend spicy garlic edamame, salmon bomb, rainbow roll, and a cucumber wrapped roll. The staff are friendly and the service is very excellent. They also offer the other typical Amarillo Asian restaurant things like beef jerky and sticky rice, various noodle and wok stuff, and Thai or Vietnamese soups. But if you're coming to a sushi restaurant, step out from your comfort zone and try some more fantastic things! Nothing here is bad.

Was not a sushi fan until I had Oishii’s. We had the Florida roll and then asked for the chef’s choice- he chose the Three Season roll. It was fantastic! We then ordered yellowtail sushi, and escolar sushi. Paired this meal with a beer and some hot sake. Will return!

Personal opinion..this is the best sushi in town! Had 3 different sushi rolls, all three were phenomenal, and huge! This is by far my new favorite spot in town.

Super clean, and very elegant. Friendly staff, polite, and accommodating. Food came pretty quickly, ordered the lobster bomb. It was delicious and the plating was beautiful. The udon drunken noodles were delicious as well.

Tried for the first time this weekend and was very satisfied. The place looks great, very atmospheric. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And the food was top notch! The beef pho was a fantastic portion and the broth was very well made. Also got an eel roll that tasted amazing. My wife tried the mango papaya roll and demolished it. We will definitely be com8ng back to try everything else!

A much needed addition to Amarillo. Love the atmosphere, the people, but mostly the fresh, unique and delectable dishes. We got the Lobster bomb, the Randalion, the Vi2 Salad and the sashimi boat; they were all delicious and are must tries in my opinion. Definitely recommend!! 👍🏻

Very good food and place, best sushi in Amarillo nowadays. I highly recommend the place to any person who likes sushi.

I really liked Oishii. The ambience was nice and the servers were friendly. I liked that the tvs were showing shows that highlighted Asian locations and food instead of football or something. It made the experience more authentic. The food was really great. My only complaint is that the pork was a little over cooked and dry for my katsu, but the rest was on point. The sushi was amazing and super flavorful, even with the sauce on top you could really taste the individual ingredients. If you like spicy food, the chili ceviche was light and delicious(made with snapper). Most of the rolls were a little pricey but I think they all were 10 pieces, and with the amazing flavor, I think it is worth the price.

I’m so glad we came here! It’s now my favorite sushi restaurant in Amarillo. The presentation was first class; the food was fresh and delicious. Lights are a bit much and give karoke bar vibes without thr karaoke. Music wasn't really restaurant appropriate and was excessively loud.

Waitress was friendly and quick but forgot complimentary soup and tea was served loose in cup and not many people like drinking tea leaves so a tea pot or tea ball would be a priority as the tea was delicious and nice that it was loose and not just a cheap tea bag, though 4 dollars for tea bag tea is not ideal.

Chow mein combo with beef and shrimp was large portion though limited on shrimp portions.
Shrimp tempura meal was large in portion 8 large shrimp and vegetable tempura was plentiful. Batter could have some tweaking on more profile or a different sauce.
Pork katsu was small but delicious. The side of vegetables was steamed, bland and odd to the dish and would suggest a different vegetable presentation or cooking method.

Will try again once some kinks havre burn ironed out and give thrm another chance.

The freshest sushi I have had thus far in Amarillo. So tender and tasty. The service was very good and the Sushi Chef was informative and artistic. I look forward to my next visit.

Great food and sashimi. I would recommend the dragon roll. My favorite and it is a great environment to add to Amarillo!

My family and I came to oishii for a fun sushi experience and everything deserves a five star rating the food was delicious on top amazing service it’s hard to find a sushi house that doesn’t use msg in there sushi but oishii has it.

Visiting from out of town and was very impressed with the sushi quality. This is something I would expect to find in a larger city. The sashimi was fresh and the sushi rolls were all well balanced and not completely covered in sauces or crunchy bits. The Chili Ceviche (snapper) was excellent and up there in the top 10 sushi dishes I've eaten. I was surprised they even had my go to Gekkeikan Black Gold Sake. They're still new and working out kinks, but overall, the service was decent. The management team and owner checked on all the tables. We provided feedback and they mentioned the menus are currently being revamped (larger font and adding new dishes).

Took the whole family. 5 total. We ordered 2 orders of tuna tataki because we love it. Tuna was perfect sauce had a little kick with jalapeños. Had a garnish of crab and salad underneath. We really enjoyed it. The spicy edamame was good. We got it stir-fried just to try it. We all prefer the steamed edamame. It was still good. We got a total of 3 rolls. The only one I remember the name of is the Longhorn roll. All were really good. Also, a large saki and soju. Both were good . I also got the Thai ginger with chicken. If you like ginger, it is great. We will definitely be back.

The food is delicious, it's our new favorite spot. Their sushi is amazing and the fried mahi is cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere and staff.

Got a COMBINATION noodle thing. Shrimp, beef, and chicken. They gave me 2, yes 2 pieces of shrimp. Then when I asked for more they brought it, but when I got the check they charged me for the extra shrimp lol. I got 100 pieces of chicken but barley any beef or shrimp.
Then when I asked for it to be taken off they just stood there looking weird. they got me guys, they got me but it’s ight I’m sticking to Bangkok

Guys, the sushi and food is top notch. The kitchen needs to get their act together, though. 2 hours and did not get our kitchen entrées because the ticket slipped.

Best Sushi, Pho and experience in town! Modern Sushi house run by a local family that puts their love into their food. You can tell the sushi chef has over 30 years of experience! I will always support this restaurant and I recommend calling to get a reservations. This place will be packed soon!

I tried about half the items on the Sushi A La Carte menu and they were all excellent. Great selection for Sake and Japanese beers. Definitely coming back! (These are the only pictures I took)

family went to eat today, they were so nice! and the food was great, this woman i’m unsure if she were the owner or not noticed my son LOVED the spring rolls and she sent us an order for free! we got the crunchy roll, combo fried rice, beef chowmein beef pho spring rolls and “kyoza” it was all out pretty fast and tasted great!

Best sushi in Amarillo by far! Salmon sashimi was delicious! I can’t wait to come back!
