Surprising find near the airport for sushi and Asian food. The pieces of fish were good sized and fresh. The spice level of the dishes can be adjusted to your liking. They are a bit short staffed right now like many other restaurants now. So even if they're not busy, allow enough time for dining if you have to get to the airport.

This place is still under the radar, and so good! We got the mussels, and the sauce is delicious with great spices and a perfect kick. They have some really unique We got several sushi rolls, and the fish was really fresh. Our server was very friendly and kind (we had our young daughter with us). It was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Recommend the mussels, the crazy roll, and the Kobe special roll! We will definitely be back!

My first fine dining restaurant for Asian/hibachi style cuisine and hands down worth every penny spent every single time I've ever been there was above and beyond expectations and would no doubt recommend this place as the number One of its kind in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. The atmosphere, culture, service, entertainment, and some of the best fine dining cuisine of any kind I've ever had in my entire life. Goten is the only other competition that comes close to Kobe Steakhouse in Nashville for sure. Will not disappoint I assure you. I've lived in Nashville almost all of my life and I have never once heard a negative experience from anyone I know that is a native Nashvillian or a tourist. Worth the visit. My one suggestion would be make a reservation well in advance to have most desired time and date.

I ordered a shrimp bento box to go with fried rice. The only thing I liked was the rice the California roll had no shrimp mostly cucumber, the shrimp was tight and rubbery and about 6 shrimp the mushrooms were tasty but something was very mushy and that ended the eating for me. I will never eat there again. $21.30 wasted 8/6/2024 3:21 pm

What a great dining experience! An unassuming store front sort of off the beaten path... I went for lunch with some friends and I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service here.. I got the beef pho and it was delicious... perfectly seasoned and plenty of beef in it... the server was friendly and helpful and attentive... I would definitely return here on a regular basis if I lived close by... I would recommend this place to anyone that likes all sorts of Asian fusion cuisine. You can get pho, sushi, curries and all sorts of Chinese dishes... fantastic!

Wow! When i first pulled into the parking lot, I was a little discouraged. It is a very unassuming building so I wasn't sure what to expect. Since the rating was so good we went in and found a nicer interior than expected. It turned out the rating on Google was accurate as the food was excellent! We had sushi and the sesame chicken. The chicken was delicious: lightly battered and fried perfectly, very tender. I wish it wasn't so far away. We were taking a friend to catch a flight and wanted to eat before returning home. I'm glad we stopped at Kobe!

We ordered sodas because of the free refills. They served us sodas in a bottle. They gave us the check and had charged us for refills. When I asked the server she said their machine was down so they are charging by bottle. I told her the menu said free refills. She didnt disclose to us that the machine was down when we ordered or they were charging per soda bottle that day. She ended up taking the extra sodas off. Advice. Notify customers before service.

Sushi was not the best I’ve had, almost felt like basic/simple sushi. However, if you get two rolls it’s cheaper. Service was slow.

I travel to this area often from Pennsylvania and the sushi is amazing but if you love sushi you have to try the deep fried sushi because it’s definitely a knockout party in your mouth delicious and good food does this place no justice I recommend 100 out of 10 I will always come back and recommend to anyone and everyone

I love the atmosphere/aesthetic of this authentic Japanese restaurant. Their Hibachi; specifically the steak with mushrooms is so so so good and I love trying new (sushi)rolls with their special lunch menu!!! The servers/wait staff are extremely attentive and kind, always worth to tip!

Not sure how this place has so many high reviews. Sushi had mostly cucumber as a cheap filler to make the maki look bigger. Weird vibe inside, mostly empty at dinner time and Mexican music playing. Not terrible, but definitely don’t have high hopes based on the reviews.

Don’t sleep on this place like I did…so tasty! I went on a Wednesday night and we ordered Panang with chicken, Hung Ray with tofu, and spring rolls, and everything was fantastic. Great flavors and friendly service. I truly can’t wait to go back!

I hope their other dishes are better than the Ramen. It was just very basic. I had to add seasoning to the broth as it was bland, the bowl itself had minimal amounts of seaweed, mushrooms, and green onions, and I have never in my life seen Ramen with a straight up fried egg instead of hard boiled. Definitely was not worth the price of delivery

The food was great. The service was good will be back. Went with a group of 4. We ordered appetizers, hibachi steak, sushi, pho, curry, soup. Everybody enjoyed their food. I highly recommend the pineapple curry.

The management does not stand by their customers. We’ve had two disappointing experiences there. The first was when our credit card was compromised. The second was when the food order was missing ingredients that were said on the menu. They refused to make it right, then they charged us for something we didn't order or receive.

I visited for lunch with a friend. We were delighted by the authentic sushi this place has been bragged about . The lack of flavors were extremely unfortunate for a restaurant that was recommended to us.

When we arrived at 11:00 a.m., we were greeted and seated almost immediately. We hadn't made a reservation, but the restaurant was only half full.

They meal looked tasty, but we discovered they were undercooked some of the larger vegetable and over cooked some the smaller ones and the sushi was warm and flavorless. We left most of the vegetables untouched. For $15, the quality should have been much higher.

We left a tip on the table and exited the restaurant with a smile.

Overall, our experience was average. They did take the time to make the table ready, the main course was good, the staff was caring, but the sushi was warm and bland.

It is a nearby place to go with friends, family, or a partner near the airport if you are crunched on time. This was my second visit and I do not plan to attend again.

As soon as we walked in, the host comes out of nowhere smaking on food he was eating. Our waiter was very rude and talked to us like one of his bros. The food wasn’t good and we didn’t get refills until we were about to leave, we asked for them to be put in Togo cups and our waiter laughs and walks away and has another women bring us our drinks in Togo cups. The most sincere thing he said to us was have a good day.

Kobe's is a no frills dining experience. Food is always fresh, always good; service is good and prices are reasonable. This is my go-to Sushi restaurant and I've been a customer for many years. Love Kobe's!

Had to come back and try a different plate, today I got the Sashimi/Nigiri Stake combo #8, it did not disappoint, really good, enjoyed every piece. Stake was on point, tender and flavorful, the 4 piece sushi roll was good, the Sashimi and the Nigiri tasted fresh. My only observation is that the Nigiri and the Sashimi were of the same fish, I would suggest to add a variety, different type of fish for the Sashimi and different fish for Nigiri. In general very satisfied. Thank you for the service.

Don't let the looks or location deter you. This is my favorite Thai food in all of Nashville. The broiled scallops are delicious & the best prices are the best you will find. They are a ways from East Nashville but delivery services will deliver from there for an extra $3 fee. It's worth it!!!!

This is one of my favorite spots in Nashville. Food is really good, prices are incredible. Service this last time was slow because they are short staffed. My only real complaint is they close whenever they feel like it for long periods of time, I get it they need to rest, but I feel like they could communicate their regulars this so we don’t take a trip for nothing.

I ordered from Grubhub and “it was edible” is the best compliment I can give. I ordered the Paht Thai and Paht See Ew and both were very bland in flavor. The noodles and meat in the Paht Thai were burnt. Something I’ve never seen with Thai food. There was pretty much zero spice, which is also weird for Thai.

I didn’t try the non Thai options on the menu so they may excel at that. Their Thai is a no for me though. 👎🏾

It can get expensive if you are not paying attention. However everything on the menu is fantastic. Service is a bit to be desired though.

I have been coming to Kobe's Japanese restaurant for a few months since I had previously moved to Hermitage back in 2021. This restaurant was one of my favorites to go to until my experience last night. On Saturday evening, I experienced terrible customer service from one of the managers and waitress. I placed an order on the menu for a "Lo Mein". When the waitress brought my meal to my table, I tasted the food and did not like it at all. I asked the waitress to take the dish away since I was unpleasant with my food. I then told her " I would like this order off of my tab for an exchange for the "Kobe Fried Rice".
She then told me that I would have to pay for the "Lo Mein" and the Kobe Fried Rice since I tasted the food. I told her " I will not be paying for food that I did not like and would like to speak to your manager". She bought her manager to my table and was very disrespectful and rude. I told her " Why would I need to pay for something that I did not like? I believe since I am African American , they assumed that I would not pay for my food. I felt very unwelcome and noticed that they racially profiled me. The manager asked me "why did I not like the dish "and I told her that 'it was disgusting". She needs to realize that not everybody is going to like the way your food taste especially when you are dealing with customers.
She definitely took it personal. She also rolled her eyes and walked away when I told her I was not paying for that dish. I will not be attending this restaurant again. The managment is horrible and they discriminate on black people. They need to treat their customers with respect and gratitude. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere if you want to be treated with respect.

We found out about this place about 4 years ago on Google and enjoyed going here in the past. It has been about 2.5 years since we been but were delighted to find out the food is still delicious. We usually get the 2 sushi rolls for $18 special and then split a Thai dish. The sushi rolls are always fresh tasting and delicious and we love thier Thai entrees. Today we got the drunken noodles which was filled with flavor. In addition, this is my wife's favorite place for Thai tea as it has the perfect blend. Last, I need to mention how they always have such friendly customer service.

I did not like this at all! I ordered the scallop hibachi and it was awful. The fried rice was extremely dry and the scallops were unseasoned (total of 6). There were no veggies on the side, instead I received a salad and it was wilted. Not what I am use to when I order hibachi.

This is THE BEST PLACE IN NASHVILLE FOR PHO!!! The waitresses and the owners are so kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place! Their sushi is also wonderful! You will not be disappointed.

Our family was vacationing here at the J Percy Priest Reservoir and used Elm Hill RV Resort’s recommended restaurant list to choose this gem. The Sushi and Thai and Hibachi entrees were excellent. Our waitress, Gaby, was on her first day and did an excellent job! If in the area, we highly recommend this place.

Everything about this place is top quality!! Never had a bad meal and never had anything other than superb customer service. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the city💚🖤💚

This is a lovely hidden gem in southern Nashville. A friend of ours took us here for sushi and it was fantastic! The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable and even recommended a different dish when my wife ordered sesame chicken. The alternative was delicious! Five stars! And yes we will return

DEEEELLLLICIOUS!! Yummmm!!! What a gem!! It doesn’t look like much on the outside and its in an odd location but the inside is HUGE and nicely appointed and clean. There is a sushi bar as well!! We had the salmon bento and the salmon super poke, a ginger salad and two glasses of Pinot Noir and we were STUFFED!!! Our server was Connie she was such a great host as well! The food came super fast, it was as I said, so delicious! Thank you to the chefs, and staff everything was excellent!
