This is one of the best places in our area to get Sushi. Let's face it, middle TN is land locked and getting good seafood is always a difficult thing to do. Year after year Smiley Thai has consistently delivered.

The pineapple fried rice and Pad Thai are pretty tasty as well.

Take out Pan Thai serving size was a little more what would be expected from a frozen meal. The bowl slants in and 2 inches deep.

The food was visually beautiful and tasted good. Would have been great but was a little dry. Medium heat was perfect for a Thai dish.

Left a $2.50 tip on credit card but it does not show on receipt which presents an issue if being reimbursed. Total was $17.86 with tip.

Although this is a take out, there is nice outside seating.

From the road, this is not much of a place. Don’t judge the book by its cover, but open the door and step into a world full of sensory experience- flavor, sight, sound & smell.

A friend recommended coming here for lunch & indeed is great spot to eat.

We came for lunch at the time they opened. The patio section was open and it was a nice day so we dined outside on the patio. Service was excellent and quick. Enjoyed a couple of sushi rolls with the steamed dumplings ,crab rangoon and an order of crab fries rice. It was all very tasty and yummy. Would definitely recommend and go back again.

Great lunch today!!! First time in and we will be back whenever we are in town. Had Gyoza for appetizer then Shrimp Pad Thai and Ginger Stir-fry with chicken as entree’s. All very tasty and the service was great too!!!

I ordered the chicken wings & God father sushi roll. Both of my bags were tied tight when I picked up my order.

The chicken wings were $14.99. I think sushi was $15.

Once home, I saw they gave me 4 small winglets, sticky rice in a small sandwich bag and some sweet and sour sauce. The chicken taste old and stale. Very disappointed, especially since this was my first experience.

The sushi was good. I would give it a 7 out of 10.

I regret not coming here sooner! The food, drink, staff and atmosphere was a 10 out 10. They were celebrating their 5 year anniversary and gave us some free cake, which tasted AMAZING. Can’t wait to go back.

Ordered dinner for 10 online for pick up. Guests were thrilled at having such a wide selection and went back for seconds in buffet line in my kitchen. Smileys prepared great food and had order ready for requested time.

My rating for the restaurant is simply because of the rush feeling we received from the staff as well as the awkward looks and conversation towards our table. You must know when a party decides to select a restaurant fir their dining experience it's not just about eating we look forward to the meet up and conversation and on yesterday that was the case especially due to a few family members that were in our party this was their first visit to the restaurant was very displeased by the treatment! I was very surprised by this, my family and I live in Mt Juliet and we visit the restaurant frequently but on yesterday was not a pleasant experience.

Look forward to trying more items on the menu. Best duck I’ve had anywhere.

I ordered 2 appetizers and an entree. They brought the appetizers out in record time. But they never brought my entree. I then received the ticket with the entree on it. I told them that I never got the entree could they just make it to go. I still waited another 30 min when I finally asked if they could just take the entree off my ticket. At this point other please had come in and been served their entrees. The person I spoke with told me that the entree never got entered in initially. So she ended up giving me the entree and not paying for it.

By far the best Thai and sushi restaurant! I’m never disappointed. The volcano roll is a must but honestly everything on the menu is great! The lychee martini is so yummy. Always leave happy and full a definite must try!

If you're visiting Nashville and like sushi. This restaurant is for you. The fish was very fresh and was served quickly. The outside patio was a bonus. I highly recommend Smiley's.

The cuisine was pretty good, small portioning on the protein though. I asked for no onions but there were a lot of green onions on it, luckily they were big enough to pick out. Kinda pricey, similar if not more expensive than eating sushi /Thai in the city. Gratuity (20%) was added for our party of 6 (🤔).

I am so excited I just found this place with my coworker to grab a bite after work, the sushi, noodles, and drinks were on point- the service was great! I have to mention this too: Hands down, best Lo Mein and Thai coffee I've managed to find after moving to the Nashville area 2 years ago. I also love that they decorated for Halloween, everything was so cute 😆 Ben was kind enough to let us sit in his section and check on us while we waited for my friend to be able to drive home after her mojito. Best sushi I’ve had in a while, however $26 is a bit steep for lunch. One order or sushi - $16, small house salad - $3.50, and a drink with no refill - $3.00. Definitely more expensive than I’d like, but the food is phenomenal.

Lots of foods in the order. Kind of small inside but they do a lor of take out. People were nice but very busy. Not as busy after church, best time to go. Food still great and my water glass was never dry. Great job.

Great Thai food. Finding good oriental food here in Tennessee is difficult; this is the best we've found in middle Tennessee. Food is fresh and good and you can order it to be pretty spicy (they have a tray with more spices on it you can ask for).

Service can be disappointing, they sometimes serve tables out of order. Thus usually happens with the Pad Thai orders. We've had it happen to us twice.

Also, sometimes most of our table has been served while someone else sits waiting for their food. One time the wait was about 5 minutes, another time it was nearly 10. Both far, far too long.

Even with the sometimes poor service we still go because the food is the best in the area.

Found this awesome place on a first visit to Mt Juliet for a doctors appointment back in May. Now we come here every time we’re in town. Today was our 5th visit and had their sushi for the first time…it was fantastic. Had the pad Thai twice before and the garlic chicken…both excellent!

I normally get pad Thai at Smileys which is excellent! Last night I got scallops($23) and they were horrible. Overcooked and like rubber. I mentioned it to the waiter and all he said was sorry and he preferred the shrimp. DON’T ORDER THE SCALLOPS!! When I paid my ticket($98 and no tip!) I told the waiter to make sure the manager and kitchen was told the food was overcooked!! We go there at least once a month.

I’ll continue to order from here, but just so you know in the kitchen, 2 level spicy green curry feels more like a strong 3 or a 4, and I like spicy food. Delicious but a bit too spicy for my current palette lol, maybe tone it down a bit for the 1s and 2s! Thank you

I was visiting from out of town and wanted some Asian food. We just ordered Thai dishes (pad kee mao noodles and Massaman beef curry). They were both really delicious! They also have some nice craft beer options.

Food is amazing on every visit but the service (food from the kitchen) is absolutely terrible. One visit is cute but every single time we visit? Food isn’t that good!!

Been to this location and A Roi, the food is always so great and staff are always friendly and atmosphere is amazingly aesthetic!! Yall have to try them out:)

Excellent food and sweet staff! We enjoyed every dish we had at Smiley Thai. The staff members are all very sweet and attentive. Big O and Amy are both super nice people! Will recommend this place to everyone to give a try.

We went at 4:30p on a Monday...We were seated immediately. Our drink order was taken as soon as we sat down and within 2 minutes we had our drinks. We ordered our meals and received them so quickly. The food tasted great, and the service was awesome. We would suggest this restaurant to everyone.

Great Thai food. We got the pad Thai and edamame. We had a group of 10 and they were able to accommodate us and seat us quickly on a Wednesday night. We ordered 2 pd Thai dishes and were able to share it between us 2 adults and our 3 small children so while each dish was $16 we were still able to feed family of 5 for around $40 before tax and tip. They automatically add a tip to your check for a larger group.

Food our group tried and loved: crab rangoons, edamame, thai tea, salmon poke, several rolls, chicken teriyaki, beef pho, and thai red curry. 10/10 experience. Parking lot is a bit small so keep that in mind.

Wow this place is amazing! My girlfriend and I came here while visiting TN and we are sure glad we did. We ordered the Sunshine Roll, Pad Ped, the Tom Ka soup, and Green Curry. The sushi was better than “good”. The Thai dishes were out of this world good. I wish I could live in the bowl of green curry and fried rice. We are lovers are Thai food and this has to be the best yet. A bit pricey but worth it! Will definitely be coming back and recommending! Ambiance and service was on point too!

As Thai lovers, we were honestly disappointed. Everyone raves about Smiley Thai, but we found it to miss the mark on multiple points.

The sushi was just wrong on 3 of our 5 orders. Like the Chef didn't know the different rolls. My wife got the super crunch roll for $17 (+$2 to sub soy paper), which apparently comes with white mayo and eel sauce. She was missing any sauce, and we couldn't remember at the time the details of each roll. I ordered the Deep Sea roll for $22, which comes with no sauce but indeed came with white mayo on it. I assumed it was my oversight but the mayo made it taste weird, and gross. It wasn't supposed to be on there.

My adult daughter got a basic crunchy crab roll, and it came smothered in eel sauce. Almost as if the nozzle was clogged and suddenly dropped 4x the sauce on top. I wish I had taken pictures, as I usually do, but we were deep in conversation and didn't share our individual thoughts until later and realized everything was way off.
The spicy salmon and yellowtail rolls were fine as basic rolls.
We ordered traditional Chicken Pad Thai, the staple to compare all Thai restaurants. We were disappointed with the thin noodles and very few chicken pieces that came with it. The sauce and flavor was good, but.... the small thin noodles were a disappointment. Why not the typical broad noodles? It felt like I was eating angel hair pasta.

Having spent $135 on lunch for 3 to find out we were all equally disappointed means we'll continue with our other local MJ Thai places.
Service was great, everyone was friendly and working hard, but the food really missed the mark for all of us. Just not our style or flavor.

Make sure you try the Vietnamese coffee.

Ordered their Pad Thai for carry out. Absolutely the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. One entree, 2 kids rice and chickens, and 6 spring rolls was over $50 - during lunch.

Mahr was the best host I’ve ever had in any restaurant I’ve ever been to , nothing but amazing and positive energy , I came in last Friday and honestly was having a rough day but her energy made everything better it’s nice to come to a restaurant with people with good energy, got my appetite back and running and the food was amazing , A huge thanks to the young lady Mahr👏

I have heard wonderful things about Smiley Thai, I was there about 2 weeks ago and it was one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to. The food was fresh and you could tell the chef took their time on it. I believe the person at the front was named Mahr, I am not completely sure, It was during rush hour and she was so patient with me and my kids, she was treating us with everything we need, I have a 3 year old and 6 year old, so they’re still energetic and haven’t learned their manners yet, but she was the most patient worker I have met. I will be coming again soon, I 100% recommend Smile Thai!

Everything was good. The only thing that got me was the noodles. I wasn't expecting angel hair pasta size with my Pad Thai . Everywhere else I've ever gone has used thicker linguini size, but the flavor was good.

The food is always on point. Unfortunately, the last two times I have ordered food to go my order has been delayed over 30 minutes. It’s frustrating when you tell your customers that orders will be ready at a certain time, you arrive at that time, and are told some excuse why you are told to wait an additional 30 min.

Excellent experience across the board! From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were treated like royalty. The sushi was absolutely amazing. The fish was extremely fresh and of great quality. The staff was welcoming and hospitable, taking care of our every food and beverage need. I was even given a slice of decadence and heaven with my complimentary bday cake. Overall it was the most impressive sushi restaurant that I've been to in years. Thank you so much to everyone that made our experience so special. This will be my go to spot from now on. I encourage anyone thinking about trying Smiley Thai Sushi to definitely do so, they won't disappoint!

I absolutely love this place. I used to live less than a mile from it and ate there weekly but I've since moved and it's now almost an hour drive but I happily make the trek.
I have yet to eat a dish less than great.

Seriously no words for this place! Breakfast, lunch and dinner. All absolutely unbelievably amazing! Breakfast is Friday, Saturday and Sunday only but trust me it's worth the wait for the weekend!! Such interesting options for breakfast! The sushi team is amazing! The service is unbeatable! When you walk in every server in that room is there to take care of you! I just wish I had an endless supply of money so I could eat there every day!

Waiter took order and both appetizers and entrees arrived at same time = annoying, the appetizers had the wrong protein presented by the runner = annoying, we rejected the appetizers, then the runner came back and said she was incorrectly informed and offered the same appetizer as we started our meal = annoying, ... food was just okay, so place is slightly overpriced, ... atmosphere is only slightly better than a school cafeteria. One and done.

Not typically trying to rate a place down. But, this was just so far from expectation and off-base compared to cost.
We Ordered:
Salmon and Scallop Nigiri—This was mid
Crunchy Shrimp Roll—Very bad; not tempura fried shrimp. It’s a bit of shrimp with panko filling
Tom Kha—shrimp overcooked
Pad Woonsen—glass noodles were mush and overcooked, shrimp over cooked; terrible flavor
Pad Kee Mao—packaged (not fresh) noodles; should be fried flat noodles (wide and homemade); no spice ordered 4/5

Food was very good. We were able to craft some vegan options from their offerings but wish they’d go lighter on the oil! Enjoyed our visit and great prices!

I love this place, the food and the atmosphere are just all great. Really recommend going here for lunch or dinner.

Three of us arrived at 8:40pm, they close at 9:00pm and they told us we had five minutes to order, when we said that is fine, the host looked back at the clock and said "well we go by that clock" (which said 8:45pm) and turned us away. We will never be back because of the poor service upon arriving, which is a shame because this was my favorite sushi spot around.

I'm so grateful to have been shown this place, Even on a Monday night the food was absolutely wonderful, from the curry, the satay, everything was wonderful thank you all for what you do.

I love this place, it was so needed in Mt. Juliet! My only complaint is the lack of consistency in spice levels. I've eaten a level 3 pad thai that had no spiciness at all, and I've eaten a level 3 that lit me up. The spice should be consistent no matter who is cooking.
