I visited Tuk Tuk for lunch based on a recommendation from the Knoxville Subreddit. Arriving shortly after opening, I was the second customer of the day. The food quality was decent. I ordered Pad Kee-Mao, which had a good amount of pork and enjoyable wide noodles.

There were a couple of service hiccups. Despite ordering water, it wasn't brought until after my food arrived and I had to ask for it again. This was an unusual experience for me in a restaurant setting. The restaurant, though small, filled up quickly by 11:30 AM.

Some of the soup options on the menu looked intriguing, and I might return to try one in the future. Overall, while not outstanding, Tuk Tuk provided an okay dining experience. The food was fine, but the service could use some improvement.

We came for lunch around noon and the place was slammed which says a lot. The service was excellent, our order was taken promptly, food came out as soon as it was ready, and empty plates were taken away quickly.

We ordered the Thai Dumplings, Thai Eggrolls, Chicken Pad Thai, Pork Pad Kee-Mao, and Stir Fry Ginger Sauce with Beef. All of the food was great.

So the wife and I always order an extra item as sort of an experiment and we choose to order the Stir Fry Ginger Sauce with beef and we are so glad we did, it turned out to be one of our favorites.

Between the Chicken Pad Thai and the Pork Pad Kee-Mao the Pad Kee-Mao won between the two dishes. I want to note that we love real spice and we ordered everything on their level 5 out of 1-5 and I will say the spice was not as we had hoped. We asked for their spice caddy that had pickled jalapenos, chili garlic sauce, chili flakes, and salt. So we used the chili garlic sauce to add a little more heat to our dishes which was great. Another stand out to me was the sauce that came with the dumplings, I wouldn't mind having a bottle of that stuff to take home.

We ordered from the lunch menu and as you can see the portions for the money is fantastic. We'll be back again for more delicious Thai food in the future.

Reviews brought me here. The place was packed. Got a seat at their 3-person bar. The servers were quick and very friendly. There are so many options that it was hard to order. I went with the Tom yum soup with veggies and the 5 out of 5 spicy drunken noodles with chicken. The food was very good. I recommend trying this place out. The curry looked really good, maybe next time.

Tuk Tuk is my favorite restaurant that I have tried this year so far. The food is wonderful and the staff is so friendly and helpful. They also provide a consistently great experience. My boss brought us in the curry egg rolls one day and I was hooked. They are amazing and crave worthy by themselves. The crab rangoons are also really unique and better than most I have had. I love to get the house fried rice and have them make it Thai hot(level 10) and it is the best rice dish I have had since pre-covid. I could eat here everyday. Absolutely give it a try especially if you like or want to try Thai food. You will not be disappointed. This is a great date spot and would likely leave an impression. Tuk Tuk is also a wonderful option for take out. It is rare to find a place that does take out and doesn't leave you feeling like what you are getting is a lesser version of what you would get if you ate at the restaurant due to freshness or things getting cold or soggy but Tuk Tuk holds up wonderfully. At this point I am going at least once a week on my lunch break or after I get off work.

Second and last time dining here. Came in at 11:30 for lunch and we were completely ignored. There is a small sign that says wait to be seated at the front but this restaurant is extremely small and it is very awkward and not to mention freezing cold standing there by the doorway waiting. The male waiter ignored us from the moment we came in. Minutes later a man came in to order to go and he immediately greeted him. My husband and I had sat at a high top that was completely empty and after minutes of continued being ignored I went to the front and asked if we had to wait at the front to sit down. He was extremely rude and condescending which is hilarious in the service industry. As a former waitress the customer always comes first and we (the customer) are the reason your restaurant stays in business, not you. We got up and left at that point.

Pin Thai is a way better Thai restaurant in Farragut and they are extremely kind! They will continue to get our support as they actually care about their customers!

My son and I have been looking for a new Thai restaurant after losing two of our favorites. It appears we found a new one! The little curry spring roll appetizers are delightful. Thai boat noodles is a dish I never had before and is perfect for a cold winter night.

Not your typical Thai place. Hence the fusion I guess. Food was very mid… I had high hopes for this place but it just didn’t live up to it. Food was cold and did not seem fresh. Something was seriously off with the taste of the food in general. Even the water tasted bad. It was just gross, like sewage water or something. Disgusting. Please use caution if you decide to eat here. I hate to say it but I truly believe good reviews for this restaurant are from Tennesseans who haven’t had good Thai food.

Long-time customer here. I wanted to just emphasize my positive experience getting food here. The owner and workers are always friendly and smiling, and the food is fantastic! (One of the best Thai places in town!). You can't go wrong with any of the curries and the pad thai is absolutely delicious! I also highly recommend getting any of the appetizers; they're all delicious from the crab rangoons to (my favorite) the Tuk Tuk egg rolls.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for several months while on a business trip from Switzerland. Dozens of times I have been served here with good food and friendly staff. As a single diner, I was always seated immediately and could enjoy the exchange of a few friendly words with JJ and her colleague Neung. A smile greeted me every time I entered the place. I was always amazed at how they were able to maintain service despite a bustling restaurant, busy phone orders or walk-in takeaways. Maintaining this level of service over such a long period of time is, in my opinion, a great achievement. And of course it can happen that, for example, the water is not immediately on the table, but that's not worth mentioning. I think a guest not only has the benefit of being guest but also has to treat the servres with respect. A smile always anyway. I'm not perfect every single day, so why should expect others need to be. Be generous and enjoy the food and the smiles. Mike

Tuk Tuk is my wife and I's favorite Thai restaurant in the greater Knoxville area. The food is always spot on and delicious (We love their Volcano Chicken, Pad See Ew, and all Curries). The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and how much you get. Despite how busy they normally are, the service is wonderful and their servers are friendly, good people. This place is popular for good reason, so expect a bit of a wait (it's worth it).

Just a little frustrating the food used to be good but something has changed. It’s more bland and the service was terrible. Mostly the service very rude person who seats you some of the time other times you seat yourself. If the greeter is going to be rude I’d rather seat myself

The food is great and seems really authentic and flavorful. It's a little more expensive than I expected at first, but the food is worth it. My favorite is the green curry.

We ordered the Summer Rolls as our Appetizer, they were incredible. I love fresh spring rolls so much and was so excited when I saw those. They were better than I had hoped. We also ordered the Pineapple Rice, Red Curry and Crispy Fish. The pineapple rice was so good, it had shrimp and was cooked right. Nothing tasted overcooked. Red Curry was great! We added chicken to it. And the Crispy Fish was so good too. The portions were not stingy, good for sharing! We ordered all these dishes on the heat level of 3 and it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy, there was a slight spice that made your sinuses start to clear. But for me and my family, it was the perfect medium. We also ordered a side of cucumber salad, flavor was great. Wish it was served cold. But we still thoroughly enjoyed it!
We will be back. This place was great.

Our entrees were Orange Chicken, Khao Soi Soup (a coconut curry noodle soup) with chicken, Spicy Stir-Fried Fish (cooked cod with veggies in hot curry paste). If you love Thai & generous portions, you must come try Tuk Tuk Thai Fusion!

She asked me what name, I spelled it for her it’s literally 5 letters and I think she was trying to be funny because it was no where near what my name is. She told me 15 min and to go wait outside. As I was signing my recipet I marked a line thru the tip spot she looked at me and said “oh wow no tip wow okay” It was very awkward. So I go to my car and wait for my buzzer to go off that the food is done. I waited and hour, buzzer still never went off so I go to the counter and ask the lady how much longer she says oh u need to wait. At this point I look around and the place is packed but everybody in there had their food which is crazy because I was the second customer who put my order in. To me it seems like they take care of their customers who are eating inside before they do their to go orders. As I’m standing their waiting for them to figure out what is going on with my food A customer walks up to the counter and started telling the lady he’s been their for an hour got his food already but never got his water and he is dying of thirst she looked at the gentle men and says “okay I bring u one go sit down” I continue to wait, I see people coming in getting greeted and tons of food being brought out to people who came in after me. I waited 15 more minutes, obviously because I already paid for my food and I’ve already waited this long so then I ask another employee “Can you please check on the status of my food?” she says “oh let me go see,a few more minutes”. A few more minutes went by so after waiting over an hour and a half I finally get my food. I asked if there was silverware in the bag she said “over there get it yourself” so then I said “If I eat inside, do I get served before the to go orders” and she said “oh no no” and then the gentleman working there said “don’t argue with her” as he waved his hand in my face. I get to the car to eat with my daughter and realize apparently they gave me a kid size servings for the lunch. The pad thai was cold. The crab ragoons were the worst I’ve ever had in my life like seriously how do you mess that up? It tasted like a rolled up piece of cheese fried in a tortilla. Despite the nasty food
Small portion size the expensive price I paid, over $60 for the items that I got. But what tops it all was their customer service was absolutely unacceptable. I do not recommend anyone ever going here. 10/10 do not recommend.

We were told by a friend to come here, and it did not disappoint! I had the basil with chicken and my husband had the cashew chicken. Both were amazing!! I would definitely recommend this place for the food and the price!

I'm originally from the Northwest where the Asian food scene is competitive and I had been missing my favorite Thia dishes. I tried a few other places, but nothing compaired to what my wife and I stumbled apawn at Tuk Tuk. Service was outstanding and I witnessed customers joking with the staff that must have been coming for a long time, and the food is evidence of why. Each flavor bold and delicious.

Anyone looking for Thia food in the Knoxville TN area should forgo all other options and settle for this fantastic establishment.

I gave 2 stars just for service of how we were treated. The food is phenomenal! No doubt about that. Went back because we loved it so much and followed the sign that says wait to be seated. Several staff walked by us multiple times saying nothing to us. Eventually the male worker in not so kindly of a tone told us to take a number at the front if we want to eat there. So I walked to the front seeing nowhere to do so. That same man even came up and saw us looking around and said nothing else. So, we left. I know they’re new, so once they figure out organization & service, this place will be great!

LOVEEEE this place. Not only are the people who work there super sweet (ordered online and explained it was birthday weekend- they left me the sweetest note) but the food is phenomenal. This place has the best Thai food in town. It's fresh, always consistent and just really, really good. My only complaints are the atmosphere which I know can't really be changed in a small restaurant. It is a bit chaotic and the food can sometimes take up to an hour to come out. There is an underlying anxious vibe because you usually have multiple people standing by the door waiting for a table and because it's such a small establishment it feels like you have an audience. I would not recommend dining in if you are uncomfortable with crowds or claustrophobic. Also, try to avoid being sat near the restroom because the sewage smell is quite potent. On a lighter note, the staff works hard and always gets the order right. I highly recommend this place but for pickup or delivery only.

Not authentic Thai flavors. Service was fast but Pad See Ew tasted unlike any Thai restaurant I've been to (which is not a good thing)....why were the noodles dark brown and beefy tasting. Just not correct. Are they fusing Thai with Chinese food? May try again ordering different items, but thought it would be better for the 4.7 rating.

I have been eating at Tuk Tuk at least once per week since they opened. The food is always good. The owner cooks all of the meals. The staff has always been extremely friendly and will be grateful for your patronage. When you eat at Tuk Tuk you have to keep several things in mind: 1) The staff is from Thailand. English is not their first language. 2) If you have dietary restrictions or need specialized considerations or ingredients in your food, it's probably best to choose somewhere else to eat. You might get asked the same thing by more than one person. They are not trying to rush you, they are trying to work efficiently. 4) The restaurant is small. The dining room gets crowded during peak times. This is a sign that the food is good! Choose a slightly off-peak time to eat for a more relaxed experience.

One of my favorite Thai places in Knoxville!!! All of the curries are out of this world. Get to know the staff as well. They are all lovely!

In my opinion, this is the best Thai restaurant in Knoxville, both for food and service. The kids always get the Tom Kha soup, curry rolls and Drunken noodles. You can never go wrong with those choices. I’ve tried numerous entrees and am never disappointed. The staff is always friendly. If you haven’t tried restaurant then you are missing out on some yummy Thai food!

My husband loves Thai food. And we travel an hour just to pick it up at Tuk Tuk's. Every thing they have my husband says it's excellent. They give you a ton of food. Offer you different "heat" levels. Always great service with a smile. And very reasonable prices. They have a quaint little restaurant for dine in, which is always clean. They are closed on Sundays & Mondays.

This food was so mouth-watering! They give you the choice between 5 different heats, and sadly I can only handle 1/5 spice. Other than that, service was great and the restaurant had a cozy feel to it!

Looking for the best Thai food in Knoxville? Tuk Tuk is the spot. I was absolutely heartbroken when Tase of Thai closed down, but I think I prefer the food here even more! The food here is always HOT and fresh when I pick it up, and the employees are extremely friendly and welcoming. This place is a little pricey, but the portions are huge enough for two people, so it’s more than reasonable in my opinion. I highly recommend the Pad-see-ew and the egg rolls, delicious!

This place is delicious. It has fusion in it's name but it's more authentic than many other Thai restaurants around here. They have the creamiest Tom Kha soup, the Pad Kee-Mao (drunken noodles) are always full of flavor, the Masaman Curry is delicious and the avocado is always ripe and creamy and it always arrives delicious through delivery service. Many foods do not travel well. It's even better at the restaurant! The staff is always friendly, polite, and quick. We love the crab rangoons, pork dumplings, edamame, and chicken satay too. One of my favorite restaurants.

Glad I read the reviews about the limited seating and ordered takeout. They were full, with people waiting to pick up. Food was packaged great for travel. Food is very good. Spice level 1 was PLENTY for me!

Not only the best Thai in town, but overall one of the best restaurants in Knox County. These servers are extraordinarily, polite and professional in. The food is always incredibly consistent and super delish. And when they're open they're always full. Every table is taken. Can't go wrong with this one.

FYI, please plan accordingly. This place is pretty popular, and there's not a lot of dining space. However, the food is worth the wait time. I thoroughly enjoyed my house fried rice with shrimp and Thai tea. I ordered to-go and portion size was enough for dinner and leftovers.

Great Thai Food

Our first time here. We walked in behind 3 other parties right at 5:00 PM when they first opened the doors on a Friday night. We were promptly greeted, seated and given menus. Everyone was friendly, helpful and very attentive. Our food was excellent. The drunken noodles that I ordered with tofu and an assortment of extra veggies with a spice level of #2 was perfect. Hot. Fresh. Perfectly seasoned. We live in Jefferson City but we will plan to return. I should have taken a picture. 😊

The food here is delicious. My only complaint is they need more tables because EVERYONE wants to eat here.

This is one of my favorite places in Knoxville, I always get served by the same lady and she is the kindest. Love the food, especially the Green Curry. You can choose your spicy level 1-5 or Thai Spicy. Love it

Alright Thai food. The curry was better than others in the area. The egg rolls were not good. I will not be ordering them ever again. I am curious to try other dishes. The restaurant was very crowded with limited seating. Service was blah… if I would’ve received one of the female servers my experience would’ve been a bit better the guy was not attentive and kind of rude.

I loved Taste of Thai & hated they closed. Tuk Tuk was a pleasant find! Their drunken noodles were comparable and were very good!

Best thaii I have had in a long time!!! High recommended to any Thai lover. Khao soi Coconut Thai soup was excellent. Had the Thai dumplings were delicious 😋🤤 and very reasonably priced. Will certainly be back 5⭐⭐'s all the way!

I would like to say that this place is really great. If you like or want to try Asian food and more specific Thai food, this is a good place. Take your time to make a decision of what you’re going to order and be careful about the spicy level. Ask first if you have any limits about hot food. I would go again to this place.

Very delicious food! The khao soi or panang curry is my go-to.

First time eating here. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and extremely friendly. The food was beyond excellent.
The server made recommendations as we were first timers. All that was recommended was done thoughtfully and provided a more rounded experience. You could taste the freshness of ingredients in each dish. The spice level was adjustable to taste. I found the thia hot to be perfect. I will be returning.

Small restaurant but busy! They do a huge take out business, with people coming and going all the time, and that's probably because the food is so good.

This place is great... Ordered To go now many times. Have at inside once... Seating is limited... They have added some tables outside recently... Everything I have had is great... I have recommended it to my co-workers and they all love it... Included are some pics from the pic menu... This is not the Full Menu... But if your not familiar these really help ... Lunch is a decent portion.... Dinner is a great serving
Edit: They have recently increased prices...they normally have a line out the door for takeouts... But this will definitely lessen that line.... Satay chicken (appetizer)was 6 bucks.... Now is 9 (50% increase feels excessive for 4 skewers).. And all the dinners went up 2-3 dollars ...$16 for the panang Curry now
