For 23 something dollars I got watery curry. Maybe it was a bad batch idk.

Diner Review №3

Pros: Decor was nice, flavors were decent, staff was friendly
Cons: Booth need some repair, portions were on the smaller side

Dropped in for a family dinner recently, visiting from out of town. They have a heat scale ranging from 1-7, I believe we ordered a 4 or 5 pretty solid. I wouldn't recommend going higher unless you've actually had Thai hot before. They note there's an extra charge if they have to remake your dish, have a feeling they had enough people trying to be brave and then realizing what Thai hot actually is. :)

While the food was good, my biggest criticism is in the value to portion category. 2 adults / 3 kids - 4 apps, 3 mains with tip was >$100. Ok but my Pad Kapow (Basil Chicken) was probably less than 2 oz of chicken and it seemed like they threw a whole onion into the dish. I should have taken a photo so I could add it to the review. Just didn't seem worth the price.

That being said our server was super nice and accommodating.

Diner Review №4

Staff was super friendly. If I could give more than 5 stars, the food is worth it.

Diner Review №5

The foods tastes so terrible.
I did not hope it would be as Authentic, but their taste didn't even close to Thai food at all.

The Thai tea was just tasted a bit of tea and watered down.
Tomkha and Tom yum tasted like something artificial to make it sour.

Pad See Ew was so salty.

Duck green curry was tasteless as I assumed they added just a tiny of green curry paste. And they gave us just few small pieces of duck.

For roasted duck, it is very dry and not even hot. The sauce taste is weird also.

I forgot to take pictures because I was in disappointed feeling and I did not think about review at that time.

The waitress that wear glasses is very kind and sweet.
Another lady, she does not have service mind.

Diner Review №6

Good foods, excellent services, we will come back again😊😊

Diner Review №7

Can't comment on the food as we left after sitting for 20 minutes with no service

Diner Review №8

We left after 21 minutes, we gave up as not even a drinks order was taken, only 4 other tables in the restaurant at 2pm on a Saturday.

Diner Review №9

Food is good. Service can be slightly spotty but have been here numerous times and I will definitely be back~

Diner Review №10

You found it, no reason to look any further

Diner Review №11

Always a wonderful experience at this fine restaurant in downtown Chattanooga.
Thai tea and calamari for starters.

Diner Review №12

Diner Review №13

Delicious food.

I like spicy food and picked level 4 for my dish and I felt that was little too much (yet I still enjoyed it and finished it)
So keep that in mind. But again incredibly authentic and delicious Thai food

Now for the negative. The service was awful. Maybe our waitress was having an off day but I just felt she wasn't doing a good job. She didn't fill out water up and she took awhile to check on us despite the restaurant being practically empty. Not to mention asked for an extra spoon for my toddler son and she confirmed she will get it promptly but she never brought it.

I know orders can be missed but forgetting additional silverware is just poor service.

Regardless, good food!

Diner Review №14

Thai Smile has the best Thai food in Chattanooga.

Diner Review №15

Drunken Noodles were absolutely delicious! Green curry was mediocre. Teriyaki chicken was very good.

Diner Review №16

The food was killer. Couldn't stop talking about the arkahmay noodles all day. Will definitely go again soon. The one waitress was very busy.

Diner Review №17

horrible service. we came in as a group but were sitting separately at three different tables that were near each other. our server literally yelled at us and said she was “too busy” to give us separate bills (only two other tables were occupied, most of the restaurant was empty). we were only asking to be treated as separate families (which we were), but were given such terrible treatment. we were really looking forward to eating there, but unfortunately, her attitude ruined the mood, causing us to leave before being able to order.

Diner Review №18

Diner Review №19

It's okay food but overpriced. For thai food there could be more spice and flavor.

Diner Review №20

Very weird vibe from this weird lady. As soon as we entered the place, we were informed that they are closed even though we got there 1pm on a Saturday. In the mean time she was serving other people lol.

This was without a doubt due to racism.

Please just hang a "whites only" sign... Will make it easier for everyone lol.

Diner Review №21

The best

Diner Review №22

Went in today because my group (6 people) wanted to try something new! We walked in at it was empty, the lady was sitting all the way in the back and told us where to sit. Gave us 3 menus. More people walked in and didn’t come back to us… started taking orders of the other tables and later came back to us to tell us that she will not do split checks, that we all had to pay one ticket. She then said ‘I have a big group so it’s more work for me to split checks.’ We got up and left to the Indian restaurant across the street and it was so fast and yummy!!

Diner Review №24

Diner Review №25

Only one server but overall service was good. Food delicious , as always!

Diner Review №26

We stopped here to place a to-go order. I was shocked at how rude the owner/manager was towards us. She'd tell us to move, we'd move, then she'd tell us we were in the way. She did that 3 times. Then told us she didn't have time for us because she had people sitting at a table. Mind you there were only 2 parties there besides us but she apparently couldn't handle being decent towards us because of it. Basically said we don't matter to her because we were only ordering take out. Which last I checked She's making money regardless of whether we sit in the restaurant for an hour or pay for our food and leave when it's ready. So, don't expect to be greeted with kindness unless you want to sit down and eat. Very offputting service. I will say the server was kind just not the older lady. The food was actually really good so it's a shame the attitude was so poor. Probably the best fried rice I've had at a restaurant, the pad thai was also very good. Unfortunately I felt so unwelcome we won't come here again.

Diner Review №27

Bangkok spicy was the best .. thank you

Diner Review №28

I love Thai food and usually get drunken noodles (pad kee mao), and theirs is some of the best I've had. My wife has the pad Thai and she thought it was fabulous. We were there during the busy lunch hour and still got our food within 10 minutes. Prices were very reasonable, and our lunch serving was plenty of food. Our server was very nice, and the restaurant looked to be very clean. Recommended!

Diner Review №29

Super service, good food, nice location. A couple short blocks to the Aquarium & the river. Food was fast, hot, and plentiful. Can't beat the service, which was extremely attentive. I ordered Pad Thai with heat #2. It was fine, but if you like it super spicy, order up a couple numbers. I ordered around 7 pm & the place was busy but packed.

Diner Review №30

Not sure why all the four stars. This was really great quality Thai food! And I am very picky :-)

Diner Review №31

Pineapple Curry (5 spicy) was so delicious & so was the Panang Chicken. It was busy on a Friday night and Christina was the only server, BUT she did an amazing job serving everyone.

Diner Review №32

Diner Review №33

We order take out from here and the staff are always super friendly, helpful and food is quick. My wife and I order ahead and sit out front or nearby but end of day is always empty. It’s a nice intimate space in the heart of downtown around the corner from the aquarium

Diner Review №34

Ordered out.
Food was a little bland in comparison to other Thai restaurants we've tried. The servings were large, though. Thai sweet rice was not as sweet and tasty as we would have liked. Spring rolls were just cabbage inside but freshly fried.
Service was very nice. Food was prepared fresh and quickly.
Didn't have to park, thank goodness...no where to park for customers.

Diner Review №35

Diner Review №36

I was berated by staff for not tipping for a to-go order. My lunch order for two meals was $48.04....for lunch. I have eaten here a lot, and I don't mind paying for food at all. And when I eat in, I tip and I tip well for good service. But I maintain the principle belief that I only tip when I eat AT the restaurant because I want to show my appreciation for high levels of attentiveness and the care provided by my waiter/waitress. I have never, and don't feel the need to provide a tip when I am receiving no service from a waiter/waitress. I find it atrocious to believe that a tip is deserved when no service is provided. This restaurant has always had consistently good food, and the service has ranged from great to poor. People are human and service will vary from day to day, which I understand. But, to the owner of this business and to any restaurant owner, please speak with your employees about what a tip represents...it is meant as a show of appreciation for hard work, not because you showed up for work and ran the register.

Diner Review №37

Diner Review №38

It’s all about Ayman! He’s the best in this city for service. Really. He brings the smile in Thai Smile.

Diner Review №39

We think that Ayman is the best server in Hamilton County.

Diner Review №40

My party of 4 went in and tried to get a table. Host rushed to us, and told us they were booked. We looked around and saw only three tables occupied with customers. She again confirmed they were booked and we needed reservations. No sign outside stating so. As we left, a white family of 5 entered. They were not turned away. Curious, I called the restaurant number. They said no reservations necessary and no wait time at the moment - come anytime. That solidifies we were turned away due to blatant discrimination. On what, we remain unsure. Ironically enough, our family is Thai. Choose to dine elsewhere.

Diner Review №41

Food definitely pretty good. Kids enjoyed it. Table was sticky but that was due to finish on table being cleaned so much. Service was great when slow. But they got slammed with people and need more help. Middle of road pricing. If you like heat in your food I definitely recommend

Diner Review №42

Excellent seafood soup !

Diner Review №43

Food was excellently seasoned and so flavorful. Chicken was slightly undercooked, so I had to avoid a few pieces. Service was excelled and quite a bit of food for the price.

Diner Review №44

Omg love this place - Garlic Black pepper chicken spicy 9.5/10

Diner Review №45

Best Thai in Chatt and I have tried all the other ones and the price and food quality and amount is better at THE SMILE

Diner Review №46

Food to go, was great!

Diner Review №47

Very good! Some of the best Thai food I've had recently.

Diner Review №48

This restaurant is located within walking distance from the Tennessee Aquarium. The food was so good! Everyone (party of 7) ordered something different and everyone was pleased with their selection. Service was very good. Portions are big for dinner (lunch size isn’t available on Sundays) so we took leftovers home. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

Diner Review №49

Great place downtown near the Aquarium

Diner Review №50

It was our first time here and the food was outstanding. Service was great. We will definitely be back.

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

Thai Smile is my favorite Thai food in Chattanooga. I recommend the Bangkok Spicy plate. You can pick your spice level for any of their dishes to match your preference. I like that this place is vegetarian friendly as well.

Diner Review №53

Diner Review №54

We really enjoyed the food. Everything came out very quickly. The fried calamari was some of the best I’ve had! The Thai Tea is great.

Diner Review №55

We visit regularly. Willis is our favorite but she wasn’t here today. This place is hit and miss. Today was a miss. The spring rolls came out of a box for sure. They didn’t use to. These new ones are little larger but taste like burnt mush inside. I let them know after one bite that it wasn’t all that good. Got charged anyway. If your dish comes with onions you can guarantee there’s going to be about two large onions sliced up in your dish. My broccoli that I paid extra for was RAW not cooked. My carrots also uncooked. Just being honest it was expensive to not be delicious like it once was.

Diner Review №56

Diner Review №57

I have always eaten here when in Chattanooga going back 20 years because the owner was influenced by his uncle's restaurant in Hollywood, CA. I haven't been in a few years, but in the past the food was far superior to most of the Thai restaurants outside of Los Angeles. Sure hope nothing has changed.

Diner Review №58

The food was amazing, and the service was spectacular.

Diner Review №59

Very bad experience. They refuse to do a party of 11 people because they would not split the bill. Never again there!

Diner Review №60

Restaurant didn’t provide chopsticks. What kind of restaurant don’t provide chopsticks? Idiotic.

Diner Review №61

Diner Review №62

Went in to use the restroom while my husband parked, then sit down to eat. Upon entering the bathroom and attempting to lock the door, the manager shoved against the bathroom door forcing it open. Upon this breach of privacy, we didn't even attempt to try their food. Highly recommend against trying this restaurant simply due to their customer service.

Diner Review №63

Pop music too loud. Yum Ga yuke. Pad Thai dry Tom kha okay chicken pieces to big

Diner Review №64

Pineapple curry is what's up

Diner Review №65

"Sometimes really good, sometimes ..." not so good. But when it's good it's great!

Delicious food, friendly service! I love the Ginger perfect, Pad Thai, and the drunken noodle! The wonton soup is what I love and breathe for though, OMG so good!!! Love this place. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Absolutely bomb spot for takeout 👍

Diner Review №66

First time guests. Parking was easy. Getting seated was fast especially for the busy weekend. Food and service was good.

Diner Review №67

Servers were very nice and polite. Very LONG WAIT Time for the food at lunch (after aquarium visit). Fried rice and Pad See Eu were too oily and salty than how authentic thai dishes should be. Pad Kra Pao was flooded with too much sauce and had no basil at all.

Diner Review №68

Food is great, service and time to wait for the food is the worst i have ever experienced.

I understand they might have been short staffed, but it took 15 minutes for water, 1 hour food. And only one plate came out at a time, 15 minutes apart. EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED.

We had received no apologies and no check up on how everything was. Terrible terrible service. Do not come here unless you want to be pulling your hair out.

Diner Review №69

Very good food, large portions.

Diner Review №70

Diner Review №71

Food was okay. The place is overall rundown. Server was nice. Kind of expensive for the quality of food provided.

Diner Review №72

Thai smile makes me smile!

Diner Review №73

It is a knock off of others. Not authentic. The $6.99 pad noodles were 7 dollars more if you chose a quarter of a cup of diced chicken. It was supposed to come with it, unless you bought duck, or the like.
Having lived and worked in Asia; it was just okay. Typical tourist food.
My friends liked it. We had fun.

Diner Review №74

Fui cosinero de este restaurante cuando estube en la usa

Diner Review №75

Food is good enough. I didnt like the part when I picked up a carry out order and paid cash, when the lady set my change on the bar and before I could pick up the money tells me I didnt tip dont insult people if you want them to generously give you money. Otherwise raise your prices if you need money so bad. I tip for good service not demanding a tip or accusing me of not tipping before its even the time for me to tip. So just letting you know what you did had the opposite effect of what you wanted so probably dont do that. To me for sure, well I likely wont even want to return now.

Diner Review №76

My girlfriends were in town and craving Thai, so I suggested this place because it was close to my home even though I had never been to it. It was very disappointing... that I had never tried this place before. Because everything was fantastic. The waitress was friendly and attentive to our needs and helpful in recommending dishes even though she was new to the Thai game. We all got something different and were all very satisfied with our dishes. The portions were big so we all took home some delicious leftovers. This place definitely deserves more attention and I plan on returning soon.

Tofu pad Thai was delicious and Crystal was a wonderful waitress!

Diner Review №82

Always great Thai food!!

Diner Review №83

Delicious…so good we ate there twice during our visit to Chattanooga

Diner Review №84

Diner Review №85

Noodle dishes were thoroughly eaten by everyone in the family. Will be coming back next time in town.

Diner Review №86

Food was great. Staff was friendly.

Diner Review №87

Our food was great. The service was on point. Absolutely friendly staff. Even our toddler chowed down and gave them a million points review.

Diner Review №88

Diner Review №89

Great little place. We love Asian food and this was fantastic. Our favorites were the Panang Curry, Pad Thai, Wonton Soup, and Fresh Rolls.

Diner Review №90

This place is never full, and I’m thankful for that, but it should be because they serve such AMAZING food and the service is so kind. I love the chicken and pork pad Thai, which cost $16. It was spectacular. And the curry meals are as well. I recommend a spice level of 4, but if you get a lower level, they give you chili on the table to add more if needed!

Diner Review №91

Diner Review №92

Good food.

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №94

Really good food, can be a little slow, but definitely worth the wait!

Diner Review №95

This place is the best place to get fried rice. It's so good. It makes me glad to be alive

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

Diner Review №98

I am a big fan of Thai Smiles and it is our favorite quick lunch and dinner place when we are downtown! I will be the first to admit that the service and vibes can vary from from day to day depending on who's there that day. But the food is always great. They have a great chili oil sauce. I usually get a four out of seven spice hits the spot every time. They have great curries and noodle dishes, but my go to is the Hawaiian fried rice with tofu.

Give it a try, be patient sometimes because the food is totally worth it.

Diner Review №99

Great Thia food, as reasonable prices. Due to it's popularity it can get crowded at times. My favorite is the Pineapple Chicken.

Diner Review №100

Server was really nice. We like spicy food and it took us a bit to try to figure out the spice level of the dishes. Menu goes up to 7, but found out later that it goes up to 25... food was good, not great. We ordered calamari that was recommended to us but there was no flavor to it. Pad thai was good and fried rice was also good. Something you would expect to get from a local take-out to satisfy a craving.

Diner Review №101

I honestly am posting this review cause I have seriously been craving to come back to this place since we visited earlier in the year. The food was great, the service was great, and overall it is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Chattanooga. And it was a random find too. Not too far from the aquarium and all the fun activity, this place was like a hidden treasure. And the pricing was not bad at all for the amount of food we got.

Diner Review №102

Diner Review №103

The staff was attentive and sweet, and the Pad Thai and Thai Tea I went in for were great.

Diner Review №104

I have never been at a restaurant that literally kicks you out at closing time ..... particularly when they bring another drink 10 minutes before closing time without even mentioning the time. Usually there is a last call or they inform you that you have very little time left to finish, but not at this place. They gladly bring you a drink and expect you to finish it within minutes so they can close. On top of it all the waitress added two dollars to the tip that I had authorized. I have read, that wait staff does this, but until now I have not not experienced it myself. There is a first time for everything. The food was good, but I can't say that about the attitude of the wait staff. Make sure to keep your credit card receipt and check the statement to make sure they don't rip you off.

Diner Review №105

Enjoyed a delicious dinner with incredibly kind service tonight!!! The Bangkok spicy was absolutely to die for. Their chef knows flavor, it's the best Thai we've had in ages. I have a coconut allergy which was taken seriously and my meal was delicious and allergy safe.

Additionally, our servers were so kind and went out of their way for us helping us out as we were passing through town- we are so grateful! We will be back ❤️❤️❤️

Diner Review №106

I simply cannot rave enough about this restaurant. I travel full time and take every opportunity to eat Thai cuisine. The food at Thai Smile is as good as any I've ever had. Truly authentic, exceptionally fresh ingredients, ample portions and exactly the heat you request. Ayman was our server and he was working on his own during a very busy lunch rush. He was professional, courteous, and made great suggestions when we asked about various dishes. He never became flustered when food was a bit late coming out. This experience was so worth the slight wait due to their being so many people in the restaurant. The price is very reasonable. I highly recommend you give this Chattanooga gem a try.

Diner Review №107

Diner Review №108

Thank you, Christina and Ivan for your wonderful service and beautiful smiles, welcoming us as customers!!! What a pleasant dining experience! Friendly service, great recommendations and knowledge of food and the menu for guidance. Beautiful and peaceful music choices taking me back to great memories. Lovely and highly recommend!!!

Diner Review №109

From the moment we entered Thai Smile, despite arriving only a half hour before their closing time, our experience was nothing short of excellent. Our server, Amy, graciously welcomed us with a warm smile and professionalism that punctuated the superior service we received during our stay.

The star of the evening, without a doubt, was the deeply satisfying Thai soup. I had duck and my husband had beef. This culinary delight, a rich blend of boldly aromatic Thai flavors and succulent duck meat, was impressively delicious. Each spoonful was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to presenting authentic Thai cuisine. It filled the mouth with a symphony of sweet, sour, and spicy notes, all echoing the undeniable essence of traditional Thai food.

Amy's service was prompt and courteous, always attentive despite the impending closing time. She made us feel comfortable, treating us not like mere customers, but guests in her own home.

In conclusion, our dining experience at Thai Smile was memorialized by superb service and delightful gastronomic offerings. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking to explore the exotic textures of Thai cuisine in Chattanooga, TN. Glad we visited, and we're already looking forward to our next dinner there!

Diner Review №111

Really tasty food, great service, reasonably-priced.

Diner Review №112

Over the weekend, we stopped by Thai Smile to have lunch. It was right in downtown where we paid a public parking fee. The diner was small and cozy. When we arrived, we were greeted by the lady and seated immediately. We were brought menu and then left alone for 15 minutes. She then at one point came to tell us that she was really busy and that we had to wait. We asked for water while we waited and 10 minutes later, she brought it out. Then she came back to tell us that she had a big table and that another customer was really impatient with her so she was going to serve him first. Another 10 minutes later, she finally came to take our order. We ordered two Thai ice coffees but we never received them. Once she brought out our food, we were never asked if we wanted water refilled or were checked to see if the food was ok. I left $4 tip on the table when I got up to pay and the lady watched me as I signed my receipt. When she saw that I didn't leave a tip there, she asked me to leave some. I told her I left some on the table already. The food was good, but the service was really poor. Please improve on your services and do not tell other customers that you have impatient customers who needs to be serviced first. It's very impolite and unprofessional.

Diner Review №113

We got there at 9:30 pm and the lady didn't even wait for us to get in to tell us that they are closed and online said that they close at 10pm.

Diner Review №114

The server who served us today was extremely rude.Initially refused to take our order saying to wait for the next server.
When she took the order she messed it up .
Said they had only two green tea cups and gave us two more tiny cups that looked like shot glasses.
On a positive note the food was great !
Hope this server's attitude was not due to the fact that we were colored.

Diner Review №115

Food is always cooked to order and delicious. Staffing and service fluctuates and atmosphere is average.

Diner Review №116

We wanted to eat Indian food at sitar but they stopped serving at 915. So we went to the thai restaurant across the road.
We were so glad they did otherwise we wouldn't have had a great meal.
Loved the food and the 2 ladies working there were great.
The reviews on the site said 3 stars. But I would give them 10 stars for food and hospitality.

Diner Review №117

Diner Review №118

Food was great, but it was very slow (not the staff's fault, they were great, but there were very few staff working).

Diner Review №119

This place has a new owner and they changed their name to Smile Thai. If you love Thai food, do yourself a favor and come here. Guarantee you will not be disappointed! We are super picky with our Thai food and we will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Diner Review №120

Diner Review №121

All 5/5. Price is just right. Food is delish and service is great too. Unfortunately I had to cancel an entrée right after I ordered because I saw how big the portion was on a picture. The lady that helped us was really nice. I will definitely come again to try the pineapple curry.

Diner Review №122

Really good food and service

Diner Review №123

Visiting here, and it seems underrated. The service was amazing and the food was even better! Definitely give this place a try because I see too many walking by and not enough in here.

Diner Review №124

When you walk in, it looks like a nice place until you get a table against the wall towards the restrooms. Our table top was broken and not level. I'd gone to the ladies' room to wash my hands, I felt like the sink was really high. The food was delicious! Our appetizer came out after our entree, unfortunately. We were given the wrong pad thai plates when the ente arrived. Mine was the spicy one. My dining companion's was no spice, so you can see the problem there. Luckily, we realized the problem quickly. Although there were plenty of smiles from the staff, there was still another issue with the staff...ugh! Nuf said.

Diner Review №125

Very good food and VERY reasonably priced! Went here for lunch and glad we did! Full menu with plenty of choices to choose from. Ordered the Pad See Ew and it was delicious. Everyone in our party was thoroughly satisfied with the food. The service however, is a bit lacking. Had a young man who took forever to come over and get our drink orders (we almost walked out) and then took forever to come over and take our food orders. He had a bit of an attitude also. Outside of that it was a great visit. Definitely recommend but, if you’re on a time crunch, be prepared to wait longer than normal for your food.

Diner Review №126

A little strange that the chef will make little or no accommodations to a vegan/veg/allergen diet in 2023. It is what it is. Our money can go somewhere else.

Diner Review №127

The pad thai at least was decent. Food took a while to come out and was one at a time...took an hour for one of the dishes to come out. Crispy duck was instead tough duck. The tangerine chicken was clearly cooked frozen chicken with canned tangerines on top with congeled tangerine sauce....at the basis it was simply just edible, nothing spectacular. Service wasnt bad though

Diner Review №128

Bad food. One cook.

Diner Review №129

Jojo got Pad Thai at 2 which was pleasantly spicy and I had Hawiian Fried Rice at a 1 (because I'm a wienie) both with chicken and they were really tasty. The prices are good.

Diner Review №130

Diner Review №131

Vegetable rice was some of the best rice I’ve tasted this far annnnd I’m PICKY

Diner Review №132

Came here 12 years ago and had the best Thai in the south, which was a surprise coming from the west and having been to Thailand. It's just as good 12 years later, would highly recommend, just be extremely careful with the spice level you choose.

Diner Review №133

Diner Review №134

Nice little restaurant with great food. Lots of vegetarian options. The pad won sen was delicious!

Diner Review №135

The chicken has no seasoning, not even salt. The teriyaki was not cooked into the meat. It was on the side. The customer service was good but the food for our entire table was just not good.

Diner Review №136

Diner Review №137

It's spicy so think about your spice level. But it's delicious.

Diner Review №142

Always a wonderful meal!

This is one of my favorite places in town. To be fair, my partner and I really love Thai food.. but we've been to many places in town, and from price to quality to service, Thai Smile is our favorite!

Every time we come, the food is fresh and tasty. And add someone who loves spicy food. This is one of the few places in town that can accommodate my unique need for spice. They've got 7 levels, too, so anyone can fully customize their spice level. You can also order whatever protein you like, so it's a great option for vegetarians, too.

Definitely give them a try if you enjoy thai food, you won't be disappointed!

Great staff and great curry tastes. The massamun was a little watery, could be thicker. Also, very little vegan options considering dishes won’t be made without fish sauce. It thus limits what you can order if you have a preference or allergen to only three curries and maybe 3 appetizers (provided the dipping sauce has no fish in it). Although they offer tofu, the option is contradicting since dishes won’t be made without fish sauce. Recommend they have it as an option for the many vegetarians and vegans or persons with allergens out there in the world!

😲 I was truly surprised and instantly grateful that most of the entrées provided an option for tofu! 🍛 Everything that came out was so flavorful and FRESH. ✨️ Cannot wait to go back!

Best Thai in Chattanooga! I have never had a bad meal in six years.

Diner Review №149

Everyone here was extremely pleasant, the wait for food wasn't long. I tried the steamed dumplings and yum gai, everything was delicious. The lime sauce was a delicious blend of flavors.

We did not get a chance to try the food because we left do to horrible service from the moment we arrived. They were out of many items and then when we asked if they had bottled water(which they did not have) the server said we were picky.

Food was awesome. Nice spice if you ask for it and wonderful wait staff. We're definitely going back.

Diner Review №153

Do not order the green curry. Watered down and flavorless curry water. So gross and very deceitful. I ordered it on a Friday night, you would think it would be fresh. Watered down and flavorless.

EDIT: Restaurant called and apologized for the bad experience. Greatly appreciated. Changed to 2 stars for that gesture. Thank you.

This was my 2nd time eating at Thai Smile. My 1st experience was not the best but we decided to give them another try. This visit was not good. The food had great flavor but for the price, my dinner portion was on the smaller side. We had a group of 7 and our meals were brought out weirdly. Two of us had our food for a while and others went without food. It made for an odd meal together. In the end, the waitress forgot to put in an order for one of our meals. We let her know that one person didn't have their food. After a while, she came back to our table to ask what that person had ordered. You could see that she was putting the order in at that time. Everyone at the table was finished with their meals. We asked that she just remove the charge so we could pay for the food that was served so we could leave multiple times. Each time she insisted that the meal was just about to come. Finally, I asked her if there was anything she could do to adjust the bill due to this issue and she responded with "no, we won't do that" we were taking this into account once the check arrived but promptly noticed that an 18% tip was already added. We will not be returning.

Really delicious food, even when you order takeout. Big portions, taste fresh and quality ingredients. Super nice staff and honestly a good price for how much food you get! Can't wait to come back.

Diner Review №166

Staggering slow service. One woman busy sweeping and cleaning empty restaurant while we waited 10 mins for a menu. Once we ordered lunch, food arrived pretty quickly. Our food was excellent. Server was nice but not customer oriented. I would normally say short staffed but one couple in restaurant and waiting 10 minutes for menu? Staff needs to pay more attention to customers and clean empty tables after serving customers. It’s a shame because the food was very good at lunch. Kudos to the chef ….not so much to the hostess (?) waitress.

As with most restaurants they seem to be having an issue with staffing it took quite a while to get our food. We weren't bothered overall just hungry. The food was pretty delicious to be honest which has been my experience in the past with this place. The service was solid and good they just didn't have enough help. I would highly recommend you give this place a try again if you haven't recently or you've never been put it on your list.

Let me start by saying I was born in Thailand. I'm half Thai and always seek out restaurants that serve real Thai food. My mother is Thai and always cooked the best meals of course. The food here is ok, not the best, not the worst. The reason why I'm giving this 1 star is simply because of fish sauce. As anyone with any real Thai food knowledge, fish sauce is a staple to quite a few dishes and is expected. Just like how ketchup is expected on say a hamburger or fries. I had to ask for fish sauce and when they brought it out to me it was in a tiny finger bowl, maybe a teaspoon (not even a tablespoon) amount. I immediately asked for more and they brought out another tiny bowl, with around 2 tablespoons amount of fish sauce in it. They then informed me they will charge a dollar for that. I was dumbfounded. They explained that the owner told them to charge for that simply due to the fact that fish sauce is now more expensive. I buy fish sauce, my mom buys fish sauce, it is literally anywhere between 7 bucks to 26 bucks for the premium stuff, and the bottles are not small in the slightest. Never in my life have I ever gone to a Thai restaurant, and I've been to hundreds, and been charged for fish sauce. The equivalent to that is something like being charged for salt, or even ketchup for your fries at McDonalds or something. The extreme greed by that owner is why this place deserves a single star from me. I do not recommend this place to anyone and will deter all friends from visiting this establishment in the future. Hopefully the owner reads this and realizes that greed gets you nowhere when you are an establishment that serves people average food at high prices, at least not with me. Boo to the owner.

There were only 4 people in the building. My table had 2 people and after 35 minutes waiting for my order I just canceled it and left. No Thai restaurant should need more than 35 minutes to make pad Thai.

Food is good usually, but the waitress gave me the wrong order and when I took a bite and realized it was wrong and told her, she said it was my fault and proceeded to yell at me in front of the entire restaurant AND made me pay for the meal that was wrong. I have never experienced service this horrible.

Diner Review №187

The food was gross, and the service was even grosser. I asked for hot sauce and the waitress told me to pick it up from the table next to mine, which had the previous party’s leftover food on it. Absolutely disgusting.

I was charged WAYYYYYY too much for my order! First time coming here and when I got the bill I was shocked as to how much it was. I did an online order of what I exactly ordered and it wasn't even close to $70! Be careful everyone, there isn't a item and price description like MANY if not all restaurants. I've read many people have had the same problem and that they are adding the TIP to the bill even though it says for parties of 6 or more.
