I stopped in last minute around 5:00 this week on Monday 02/10/25. I had been water fasting all day so this would be my first real meal for the day. I asked for an order to-go. $21.45 was the total for a large egg drop soup and chicken lettuce wraps and about 10-15 minutes it was ready to go. I went home and ate the soup first right away. Towards the bottom of the container, I noticed the eggs were gray-greenish looking, as shown in the picture. I stopped eating the soup at that point and threw it away. Hours later I had three episodes of diarrhea. I am so glad I did not eat the discolored egg at the bottom. After three episodes, the diarrhea stopped.
The next day I called and spoke to a senior lady on the phone. She told me my symptoms were unrelated and that they make fresh eggs daily…. Then she told me she could not find my order. I asked for a replacement instead of refund and she told me no. I was actually more upset by her rudeness on the phone than I was the food poisoning. To say the least I will not be back due to her poor customer service. We have frequented this restaurant a lot so this dismissal by this senior lady was very disappointing.

After the bill came and after waiting 10 minutes, we headed to the counter for someone to check us out. I understand that it was somewhat busy but the lack of service cannot be made up by the food.

As a transplant who came from a food mecca, this place is my favorite restaurant in town - a diamond in the rough. Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and it's consistently great every time. Places like this are hard to find here. The sushi is fantastic and the food is still amazing leftover - the portions are generous, so it's perfect for lunch the next day.

And since we had lots of time to sit around and wait, we noticed how goofy (literally) the decor is. It's a nice blue-lit, chairs & benches atmosphere with piano music playing, but around the bar it's like a sports bar, and the at the entrance is a massive Goofy (from Disney) artwork that didn't seem to fit the vibe of the rest of the restaurant. We just found it super weird.

After reading reviews, we decided to give it a shot. We chose 3 different sushi rolls and they were equally delicious. When the server brought our menus, we didn't see sushi. Then she came back and left a tablet on the table, with a very extensive selection.

The food was absolutely amazing but the service was ehh. The guy who seated us was not friendly and our server didn't check on us at all after delivering the food to our table but the food made up for it bc it was delicious.

These folks always serve dependable food that tastes fresh. Their service is right on target as they know what we like. Highly recommend it.

This is our go-to place for Thai food, and they are usually very good, but the last time my wife and I went for lunch, all of the food was served cold (almost room temperature. It was very tasty, but the temperature took away from it. Just something to be mindful of, if you eat there We didn't send it back, but we did complain. The next time it happens we WILL send it back.

I recently visited Bluefin Sushi and am compelled to share my experience. Despite its 4.5-star rating on Google, my visit was incredibly disappointing. As someone from California, I wasn't expecting California sushi, but I received far below standard.

First, let me acknowledge that the staff tried their best within their capacity. However, they are untrained and unable to provide helpful suggestions. The young lady seated us had just started a few days prior and was unsure of her place. The menu is overwhelming and too extensive. When a menu is that large, it's often a sign that the food quality suffers.

The young man who took our order misunderstood it, resulting in delays. Most concerning, the sushi itself was not fresh. It was served at room temperature, had a plastic look and texture, and was inedible. We were genuinely afraid to eat it for fear of food poisoning.

While the space is clean, it has a stagnant scent that detracts from the dining experience.

I leave this review not to harm the restaurant's reputation but to highlight areas needing severe improvement. Sushi quality needs urgent attention; the staff, including kitchen staff, require proper training, and the management must ensure fish is not kept longer than necessary. Ownership accountability is crucial to restoring this restaurant to a good standard.

In conclusion, I hope Bluefin Sushi takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to meet the expectations set by their rating.

Only gave one star bc I had to. They never acknowledged it was a birthday dinner in any way despite being on the reservation. Things started out good. We got seated quickly and waters on the table for everyone. We ordered apps of lettuce wraps, crab rangoon, and husband ordered egg drop soup. Got the crab rangoon and it was good. Typical flavor of most places. Lettuce wraps came out and I was surprised that instead of a bib lettuce or something similar it was iceberg which I’m not a huge fan of. My husband’s soup never arrived. We ordered the duck curry and it came with a salad. They brought the salad and it was a bowl full of chopped chunks of iceberg soaked in a ginger dressing that I think had went bad bc it appeared to be curdled. Daughter in law ordered noodles with steak and she didn’t say anything was wrong with it but didn’t eat much and didn’t seem to enjoy it. The duck curry arrived and daughter said it was off in flavor and duck was too chewy to eat. She didn’t eat it. We had ordered sesame chicken. It was typical sesame chicken. Nothing special but could have been warmer. Finally they asked if we were missing anything bc food came out intermittently while other tables seated after us already were finishing their food. We told them we were missing the soup and the chef’s special sushi tray and a rainbow roll. They asked if my husband still wanted the soup and he said yes. This he regretted. Said the soup tasted like nothing. Got our rainbow roll and it was oddly room temp but seemed fine. Brought us a sashimi tray which we informed them was not what we ordered. Finally brought out our sushi tray. It was warm and smelled oddly fishy like the fish wasn’t fresh. One of the rolls looked like the fish inside had been minced to nothing and squeezed into the roll. Between the off putting smell and the look we chose not to eat it. Server rarely came to check on us and only filled our glasses once. An hour and a half to get all our food and out of it we had the crab rangoon, the filling for the wraps, a rainbow roll , and we shared the sesame chicken among 5 of us. I let the server know and she only took off the sushi and duck. So we paid $108 to have two small apps and share a plate of sesame chicken and waters and a Diet Coke to drink. We left and went and got burgers. Beyond disappointing.

Wow, such a disappointment. Peanut chicken is hard to find & I love it. I came here because they had it on the menu. What I got was brown gravy with a few peanuts sprinkled on top. It was disgusting & definitely not satay. Not busy but still couldn't get the servers attention. 2 Stars is generous.

The sushi was fantastic. The pineapple fried rice I think it’s what it’s called with. Chicken was so good. The miso soup fantastic my godchild love eating there and the whole family too.

I’m very particular about sushi and this is the only place in Nashville that I’ll eat it. They also make great drinks here. Never a disappointment.

The crunchy shrimp had almost no shrimp

The Teryaki salmon was ordinary. The server should put the sauce on the side since it was excessive on the plate. The salmon itself did not taste fresh and was very dry.

A client highly recommended the restaurant. Therefore, I was very excited to try it. I ordered my food and was told, “10 to 15 minutes, maybe less.” I waited almost 40 minutes. (Order placed at 7:09 PM handed to me at 7:48 PM.) No apologies made when asked if they had forgotten I was waiting. There were only a five people at the bar and three tables, no large parties. A group of four arrived after I had been waiting 15 minutes and received food before I did. Two other people came to pick up orders out while I was waiting.

I ordered the satay chicken, vegetable spring rolls and chicken Massaman curry. The satay chicken was skimpy and dry. The peanut sauce was extremely disappointing, it was more of a gelatinized peanut butter. The spring rolls were deep-fried and greasy. The curry sauce only filled half the container. I didn’t finish the meal and tossed it. I don’t know if they were having an off night, but will not be back to try.

This was my first visit and the food is amazing but the service was horrible.

This place is awesome! Why? The food is always top notch, the sushi always fresh! The staff, always pleasant, and the owner is always walking around greeting his customers, making them feel valuable. It truly is a nice establishment!

I have been dining at Bluefin Sushi & Thai many times for lunch and dinner with friends and whether I try something new or an old dish, its been great food, consistence, fresh and great service. I usually try the Basil Salmon or the sushi.

Pad Thai and Chicken Teriyaki with Ginger Salad 😍 This was my second time visiting and everything was just as good as before. We got seated right away both times and our server was with us quickly. Had Gyoza as an appetizer and they were soo good.

The food in this place was absolutely phenomenal. I tried the teriyaki chicken bento box which was very filling and tasty. My only complaint was that the teriyaki sauce on my chicken and my friends beef teriyaki was way too sweet. But other than that I like everything on the bento box. We also tried a couple of sushi rolls which were fresh and tasty. The service was okay.

We stopped on for dinner while in town and they had great service. The food was good. I had sushi and tried both their Tom Kha and Miso soups. My fiancé had a bento box and they were huge! We hade some lettuce wraps which were okay, but not my favorite part of the meal as I've had better. Definitely would return again as the service and food were great overall. The place was clean, and food was served timely and described accurately.

Pen and JoJo were very fun! It was the 2 of them serving the entire restaurant and between them, they didn't miss a request! Pen is very funny and great energy. She keeps it 100 with the food options. JoJo is attentive and both made for a great stop thru enroute to Huntsville. The food and drinks were just as good as the service. Def recommended to anyone wanting good food, drinks and service!

Honestly some of the best sushi and Thai we've had since moving to middle TN! The service was attentive but not overwhelming, the variety of delicious and unique sushi rolls was fantastic, and the curry we ordered was absolutely addictive!

Food was bland, and a spicy chicken dish that used to be served piping hot was served cold. The consistency of the chicken wasn't right either, like it had been sitting around a long time and popped into a microwave.

we usually love koi and blue fin but the last several times we’ve been our food has been bland and doesn’t taste like anything, they seem to be going downhill. I hope they can realize this and start to prioritize their cooking more rather than getting dishes out fast, i’d rather have my food taste good and wait a few more minutes. I hope an owner sees this

My family and I went there for my 50th birthday on May 14th, and--as always--we had a fantastic meal! This is my "go to" place for special occasions and entertaining guests. Blue Fin never fails to make a wonderful impression. Their food is fantastic! The atmosphere and their choice of music make eating here a pleasant, delicious, beautiful experience. I always leave feeling more at peace than when I first walk in to the space. I highly recommend Blue Fin!

Japanese bento lunch boxes are a good deal because you get soup or a salad plus rice and your choice of sushi or stir fry. They had gluten-free soy sauce for the sushi, but that was about it as far as choices go. You just have to figure it out for yourself.

Delicious! We went for a late lunch and had mimosas and hot sake to drink. Started with the Tom Yum and Tom Kai soups and both were great. If you love crab get the volcano roll (so good). Service was great and I enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely go back.

The sushi and Pho was very good, but the service was ridiculous. At first it was fine. The server came and took our drink and sushi order and brought our beers back immediately. She said she would return to take our main order. We waited 45+ minutes for our main order to be taken and then our sushi was brought after that. Tried several times to get someone's attention, but they don't even look your way. Other than the service, all was good. Atmosphere is awesome.

my husband and I went there for late lunch on Sunday after drop our daughter to a skate party close by. it was probably 2:20 and nobody came out to greet us for like 5 minutes? we were hungry of course, right when my husband told me let's go somewhere else to eat. then one lady finally came out as she was giving the TO GO food to a girl standing by the front waiting so at least, we were noticed and being seated. then we sat down to look at the menu, after I told my husband when I wanted to order then I went to use the bathroom first. even I came out but still nobody asked my husband if he was ready to order. he was frustrated and I saw the lady who greeted us to sit anywhere we wanted was at the table close by, so I waved at her. then we got our order and it was pretty fast actually. then a white food runner brought our food, my husband said just put in the middle and she immediately asked us if we were going to share the food which we do always. she spontaneously offered us two plates to put food on.then during lunch, the First Lady actually checked on us. the food was really good and reasonable priced too.

Tasty soup and perfect rainbow rolls

Let me start by saying this has always been one of my favorite places. I order the same meal every few weeks and today it was $10 more than it usually is. When I told them there was 2 other patrons expressing their same concerns.
I do understand how Covid has made businesses raise prices but when I got home to eat our meal I was disappointed to say the least. It has never looked like this. Usually there is many veggies and more protein. it was rice with a couple of broccoli and a few pieces of meat.
Tonight not only was it more expensive, but not prepared to their usual standards. So disappointed.
After reading other reviews it seems its not a priority.

Sorry Blue Fin. If you cannot provide basic Sushi delectables such as toro and uni and shiso, in actuality you are just another run down Americanized fish market taking advantage (culturally expropriating) fine cuisine yet not providing it.

Suggestion. Have your chefs learn the fine art of plating sushi. With that and availability of quality fish Blue Fin could be a step above. And, if your kitchen staff were taught to not burn hamachi-kama then your service would be vastly improved.

We were really excited about this place but when our food came out and there were ants coming out of our sushi. Asked us if we wanted another plate and then we over heard the guy making the sushi state that they have had ants for awhile now and it’s all over the sushi bar because they were following the sweet tea dispensary. So we will definitely not be going back.

i come here all the time and always get the chicken fried rice and thai tea, and have gotten the hot ad sour soup from time to time as well. everything ive ever tried here has been delightful, with even better and quick service. i will definitely be returning in the future!

Cool little spot in Brentwood with great sushi and crazy portions for their meals. I ordered a fried pork cutlet after my sushi roll and they brought me an entire pig. Loved it.

This was my first experience going to Bluefin. I honestly had never even heard of it before, but found myself wanting to come back for my birthday next month. You should expect some pricy sushi rolls, but that's what you SHOULD expect when you get quality meats, flavourful combos, and great looking meals. Didn't anticipate eating so much sushi, but I have to say that it was so much more than I expected. Again, if you are looking for quality food, expect those quality prices. But fear not, they also have some great sushi rolls that are more budget friendly with the same fantastic tastes. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and really liked the whole vibe of the place. Can't wait to come back and try new dishes.

PLEASE READ- This is the worst place to eat. Me and my family went the other night and the inside is really nice but the service is the absolute worst I have ever seen. After being seated it took literally 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive and almost another 20 minutes just to get our order in we sat reluctantly with intentions to leave but after another 20 minutes of waiting 2 of our dishes finally arrived. Me personally I had to wait another 5 minutes for my dish after tasting the food I would rather eat at a McDonald’s then this place ever again I’m not feeling well after eating the food. One of our dishes was cold and the food was not worth the price. The place was not busy what so ever we were the only group inside until one reserved group was seated but other then that it was only us. We even watched 2 groups of people come in to eat and leave after not even being seen by a waitress/waiter. There is no reason that we had to sit and wait that long the only thing that is worth getting at this place is the water you are better off going to the busiest place you can find and wait for a table anywhere else it’s more worth it then bluefin I highly recommend not eating here. If I could I would give this place 0 ⭐️

Thai is my favorite.
I've been to dozens around Nashville and anywhere else in my travels. It's hard to give 1 star but when the red curry is not edible drowning in Orange cheese whiz like wallpaper paste and then the server didn't care enough except to make excuses as she walked off and returned with the check when I brought it to her attention, leaving 1 star is pretty easy.
Was my first time there and my last. I would like to think the owner would want to know of my experience but the inmates are clearly running the prison.
It's not like they are the only Thai place in Brentwood but they sure act like it. When I got there I was puzzled as to how I'd missed this place for the last year and a half. But after my experience there I realized I'd actually been protected from it.
No wonder this corner location never survives and has gone through at least three different owners over the years... Must be cursed. You have been warned.

Wo good! I've heard rave reviews for a while about this place and we finally went to check it out for ourselves. We got the chicken spring rolls, Panang Curry and the Honolulu roll. Everything was delicious.

This is was our first time post-pandemic grabbing food from Bluefin.

The Pad Thai and sushi was fantastic, although the Tom kha kai was not the best I’ve had in Brentwood.

The restaurant is still a little under-staffed, but that is not unusual right now. Overall, very good.

This has the best and freshest sushi I've had in Nashville. Will be visiting several times. Mixed drink was amazing as well and service was incredible.

The food here was AMAZING!! The Alaskan roll, vermicelli noodles, goza, and beef fried rice were so good. Full of flavor. Loved the Thai tea too. Will be back soon.

Great fresh food! Huge menu selection. I will say they absolutely need to research modern lounge music. The "classy jazz" sound is a 90s thing. Music really makes a difference to atmosphere and that was the only thing that turned me off. I don't even think older people like that style of music anymore and it doesn't match the vibe... the vibe is intimate, sexy and modern but the music makes you want to leave quickly.

Local favorite. Offers the cozy feel with a hint of elegance. Have been here multiple times and never disappointed. The menu offers a variety. Sushi has always been skillfully prepared and the sea urchin has been delicious each time I've had it. The variety of Thai cuisine is delightful and pleasant as well. Exceptional customer service brings us back often. Thank you.

My drink was amazing, and the place wasn't packed. Watched the football game, and my food was great, but I only have a video of that. Price was great for the amount of food, and everyone was so nice! Definitely will be back.

The staff is almost better than the amazing food. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing Thai food. So fresh.

Came from out of state and I never had Bluefin and I never will. Waited almost an hour for my food, then when it came out it was cold. They took ot back just to put it on the wok and stir it up "that's what the waitress said" Then my wife ordered crab cakes but never told her they were sold out until they brought my cold food out!!! Never again will I go to a Bluefin franchise

Been here numerous times. Food is fresh and fantastic!! However, the service is lacking. Very nonchalant attitude and lack of attention.

Great food and really nice staff. A lot of TVs at th bar. Hot and cold foods are all good. Wide selection for picky eaters. You will not regret dining here.

Overall, very good. Hot and sour very tasty, qyoza nicely done. Nice quality beef in Mongolian beef, but underseasoned. Will give them another try next time I'm in town.

I ordered online they told me to pick up at 7:39pm get there three other ppl told me they been waiting over 20mins and I even had to wait 20mins which means they have been waiting longer I finally get my food to just to be disappointed everything was cold but the rice I can tell it had just been sitting there I know one thing I won’t be returning

We always order out due to COVID 19, but when we do the food is always hot and fresh. We have tried multiple dishes and liked every single one of them. I hope that their business does well and they stay open because it’s the best Thai/ sushi restaurant I’ve ever eaten at!

Stopped here because we had a craving for sushi and we were honestly amazed. The food is fresh and delicious, drinks are great and the prices are really good! Not to mention very clean and tastefully decorated. Excellent service as well! We will be sure to stop here again when we pass through Nashville!

Went there for a quick lunch. Service was great and efficient! I got lunch bento with shrimp teriyaki and California roll. Shrimps were really good but I was not a big fan of California roll. Sea weed in them seemed a little mushy. Tom Yum was great! It has fresh mushrooms in it!

Fantastic! Way better than the last ownership.
They were very accommodating to our (reasonable) nix/subs, and got everything perfect. YUM! Will be back again :)
