Back at it again. Brought my sister here since she wanted to eat some good food. Another amazing experience. The food is amazing every time. My sister was extremely happy with the food and service.

I called ahead to ask if they had some gluten free options because my husband is celiac. The girl told me the curries and pad Thai so we decided to come in. It was a clean and vibrant place with a lot of seating, wasn’t super busy when we came.
We ordered a different version of fresh spring rolls that had pork and cabbage in it, it came with a tamarind sauce that was just too thin and not enough flavor. The spring rolls tasted pretty good itself but didn’t look very presentable. Pad Thai was good but that beef was way TOO TOUGH. I mean I was chewing on the pieces for a while and some pieces I couldn’t even swallow. I would please recommend getting a different cut bc it makes the pad Thai not as enjoyable. The green curry hands down was the best. Flavorful, addicting, creamy and perfectly cooked.
It was a bit unfortunate the morning after my husband did get a bit sick so I’m not sure how “gluten free” the food was or if their may have been cross contamination even tho we did say he can’t eat gluten. I am interested in a lot more on the menu so I may be back but perhaps not my husband.

Feel like to eat thai food and decide to eat here because of the good reviews from google. It seems like the restaurants own by Filipino as the main food more towards filipino food and the workers speak tagalog. The service was good overall and the food was just OK. Two of our orders are so salty and we have to take home to recook it in order to be able to eat it. The best one is only the fried pork.

Our first time here and it was disappointing. We came in at 632pm. We didn't get served until 703pm. We only had our drinks up until 836pm. Our first appetizer came out at that time pir second app came out about 8 minutes later. The sushi was good and that was about it. The waitress forgot to put my husband's order in and when asked where was it? The waiter said "what did you order? By this time it was 824pm. We just told him don't worry about it and just to give us the check for what we already had come out which was the two apps and my entree. The food we did have was mediocre and the entree was bland and not to my liking. We were disappointed because we had heard such good things about this place in its old location. We will not be back.

We used to go to the location near Northwoods Mall before it moved to this location off Old Trolley Road. The food was delicious back then, and it's still just as delicious now! You can choose feom Filipino dishes, Thai dishes, or even Japanese sushi. I'm a big fan of their Chicken Pad Thai.

This location is definitely larger, brighter, and has a nice appeal to it. It's crazy, though; because even though this location is closer to mileage distance from me, the older location is closer to time travel since it was closer. Not by a whole lot, at least.

The 22A is amazing! I eat here at least once a week. Staff is very friendly, the restaurant is clean, portions are huge and they always have speedy service

I have heard so many wonderful things about this restaurant so my boyfriend and I finally gave it a try. We were impressed with how clean and neat the place was. We were greeted and seated immediately. They had flavored sake so I was very curious! I had the mango one. Very good. My boyfriend had the crab fried rice and I had the pad Tai. We shared the lumpia. Everything was delicious and I had leftovers for dinner. It was a very nice experience. We will be back.

Mei Thai was amazing with this large take out order for 7 people . It was ready in 30 minutes, they labeled each box with the menu number ,and even helped us carry the order out to the car . Chicken wings smelled horrible and took over 30 minutes to arrive at the table. Why were we served water in Styrofoam cups while everyone else around us was served water in glass cups? Felt discriminated against. Will not return.

I did not care for the flavor of the crab Rangoon there was curry in it. The garlic and pepper chicken was average.

My friend had the green curry, and you could easily feed 2 people with it. It was delicious. I had the Beef Caldereta. The beef was so tender, and the pineapples (which I typically don't enjoy), we're a delicious touch. It's just a hint of sweet in the savory.

Highly recommend. Lots of Thai and Filipino options. Seriously, A LOT of options. They also have sushi!

Came here with my fiancee. Had the #25 and #30. Fiancee had yum woonsen and
basil duck. The sushi was spot on and crab rangoon was tasty. Food was amazing and the our server catherine was even greater than the food. Thank you.

I have nothing but high praise for this restaurant! We ordered four appetizers to try and each one was a delight. The lumpia was amazing, the spring rolls delightful, and the crab rangoon was my favorite. The only downside was the deep-fried tofu, which lacked flavor. However, the sushi we ordered was fantastic. The North Charleston and volcano rolls were excellent and so good that even though I am not a fan of curry, I tried their curry dish and was blown away by how delicious it was. The portion sizes were huge, with around 3 1/2 cups of rice, so definitely shareable. My wife had the pad thai, which was also bursting with flavor. Overall, it was a great experience with amazing service.

We used to go as often as we could when they were behind the mall and always enjoyed their food. I especially enjoy their spring roll, the clear one. Well they moved to Summerville and we finally found them. The food is still very good, the service is good but the atmosphere is better I just wish they were still close to us. But it is worth the drive. There is nothing we have had at this restaurant that wasn’t good. And so much to choose from. We usually get their daily special. We would recommend this place especially if you like Thai food!!!

One of the best dining experiences of my life! No exaggeration! My parents are regulars and I finally got a chance to go with them! Food was amazing. Best lumpia I have ever had. Crab Rangoon was on point! Rose, our server, incredible! Very concsiencious of our needs. So sweet! And the atmosphere and vibe...so relaxing! I can't wait to go back. So much on the menu that I was dying to try. Such a hidden gem! I would definitely recommend Mei Thai. This is a do NOT miss! And don't forget to ask for Rose!

I have only had sushi here so far, but both times it was presented in a very bright, appetizing manner. Like the sushi chef is very proud of what he made. I have been to places where it's just plopped on the plate or in the box. Not with Mei Thai. Even the take out sushi liked amazing!

We had two children with us who were 6 and 3. Can't say this is a kid friendly place. The food was average. I had the Pad Thai with added shrimp. The sushi was usual. I would rate this a 7 out of 10. It did not have a lot of flavor in the Pad Thai. It was once and done for us. Not bad, but not good enough to go back for our next visit to this area.

By far my favorite restaurant. I try to make it a point to eat there at least once a week, and I live in Mt Pleasant. Lynn and her staff are the sweetest people around and the food is always consistent and delicious. I have been eating here for over 20 years ( not at the new place obviously, but it is even nicer than the other with the same outstanding food and service.

Been a fan of Mei Thai when they were in North Charleston. Now that they are in Summerville with a fresh new look, they are a top notch local stop for delicious Thai food. One of my favorites!

Many wonderful and appetizing choices on the extensive menu! We each chose the green curry, a spicy choice, one chicken and one tofu. Very tasty sauce and it came with white rice.

We've only gotten take out but it's very clean here and the food is delicious! The tuna roll is the best!

Came here during the morning and ate some milk fish for breakfast with my sister. Food was absolutely amazing and service was very nice. The people here are very very well mannered and extremely polite. The atmosphere is quite inviting. The hot Jasmine tea wasn't like anything I've ever drank before. It was very soothing. I would definitely recommend eating here.

This place used to be over in North Charleston by the skating rink. Fortunately she has moved to summerville. The facilities are brand new. I started with a fantastic spring rolls and delicious with a nice little dip to enhance all the flavors. I ordered a pork curry over noodles and it was delicious. I ate every bite. The portions were quite sufficient, and the service was fantastic. They were very friendly and concerned that you are having good food, yet were not intrusive. The prices are very competitive and I will be back. Parking may be a problem in the evening, so if you don't see a space right in front of the restaurant you can go to the variety store which is adjacent to the restaurant parking and there's plenty of room there. And the store welcomes you to use their unused portion of their parking lot.

We've come here for over a decade now, glad they moved a bit closer! Always excellent food. Friendly staff every time. We ordered an array of things for our family tonight, Fresh spring rolls, barbeque pork skewers, chicken soup with bean thread noodles, Lechon Kawali and Chicken Pad Thai, every bit was wonderful. It was ready within 20 minutes. The new place looks nice and has a very bright feel, will be eating inside next time.

I've been looking for a decent Filipino food since moving out here, and this place definitely hits the spot!

Parking is a little bit iffy, but it is worth it. I had to try the Karekare, and it did not disappoint. It reminded me of my ninang's cooking back in California.

I have been going to this restaurant for years now, even when they were first located near the Northwoods Mall / Ice Palace. The staff that work here are clearly passionate about providing great service and are always so nice. I know some of the staff now, and they recognize my fiancé and I whenever we come in. They know what we like to order, and they make it a point to check in on us and make friendly conversation. We’ve had tons of things off the menu, some including the classic pad thai, bistek, adobo, curry, sushi, and all the appetizers. Everything is amazing and affordable (especially for the portion sizes). We love this place and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. We hope everyone that visits gets to enjoy this restaurant as much as we have!

I am a big fan of Thai food. I do a lot of travel with work and try local Thai food places just about everywhere I go. This is the best all around Thai food spot I've found. Great traditional Thai and Philipino foods with a friendly atmosphere that blends a wonderful family vibe and southern hospitality combined with a delicious array of food makes Mei Thai a breath of fresh air. The fanstastic vegetarian options are a big bonus for my non-connivorous family and friends. I am obviously not alone in this opinion because they get very busy on weekends. Expect a wait of about 20 minutes at these times, but walk-in meals can be had all during the week with no wait. If you drop in on a busy night, thats ok, because the wait is definately worth it!

Slow to serve us. Single Dad trying out a new place for us. Food was bland at best. Then we were ignored and never got our sushi orders. Horrible experience and they had the ignorance to charge us full price for what we had ! I literally had to shout the manager down about the situation as I watched a new table get served with no issues. Don’t go there. They can’t even say they were too busy as an excuse! I don’t see them lasting very long. One of the worst if not the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant ! Not to mention my kids were surely embarrassed as I had to make a scene to get noticed ! 😡

I rarely leave reviews but I had to leave one here. I have been traveling throughout the country full-time for over a year, and have eaten at many Thai restaurants. I almost always order the "drunken noodles". Almost every place has included eggs scrambled into the noodles. Not this place. So I asked them to add 2 eggs in. The dish (with chicken) was advertised at $14.95. Two eggs added a whopping $6! I could buy well over a dozen eggs for that price! The total was almost $24 for one order. Way too much for one person. When I first walked in, I was blinded by the ridiculously bright lights throughout. The place looked new with nice decor, but I was there for takeout only. There's no way that I would ever be able to enjoy sitting down for a meal there with such bright lights that hurt my eyes. A nice soft-lit ambiance would have made the place much more welcoming. When I got back to my place to eat my dinner, I was disappointed to discover two sunnyside up eggs placed on top and not scrambled in like they're supposed to be. They were tastless and rubbery, and the meal's texture was not good this way. Furthermore, almost every bite of the noodles was hard and undercooked with several noodles stuck together in clumps. It felt like maybe I had gotten the last of the noodles at the bottom of the batch scraped up. It was one hour yet before closing but the hostess who took my order said they had been very busy just a short time earlier so it's possible. I travel the country in my van and rarely get a hot meal these days, so when I splurge on one, I expect it to be one to savor and enjoy. The flavor was just OK. Not at all worth the cost and extremely disappointed in the entire experience.

Enjoyed it very much

Our first time here and it was disappointing. We came in at 632pm. We didn't get served until 703pm. We only had our drinks up until 836pm. Our first appetizer came out at that time pir second app came out about 8 minutes later. The sushi was good and that was about it. The waitress forgot to put my husband's order in and when asked where was it? The waiter said "what did you order? By this time it was 824pm. We just told him don't worry about it and just to give us the check for what we already had come out which was the two apps and my entree. The food we did have was mediocre and the entree was bland and not to my liking. We were disappointed because we had heard such good things about this place in its old location. We will not be back.

As the new location for a longstanding entry in the local restaurant scene I was excited for the opening - and it hasn’t disappointed. Familiar food and faces in a new and nicely apportioned dining space. Looking forward to years of eating here.

Absolutely wonderful my family loved the food . So much flavor to experience. This was our first experience with Thai food and we will definitely come back. We also tried the Thai iced tea and hot Thai coffee wonderful. No more Starbucks for me !

We have lived here for how long? And I just found this place, and I absolutely love it. Their lumpia is amazing. And also their sushi. I haven't tried other things yet, but I'm sure they're just as amazing. The only sad thing is that they are moving to Summerville and I won't be able to make it there very often

Best Thai in Charleston. That is quite the accomplishment.

The food was really good and tge service was great. I would definitely go back.
