THAI EAST FUSION, located in North Charleston, South Carolina, offers a unique blend of Thai and Asian fusion cuisine. Established in 2018, this restaurant invites you to explore flavorful and innovative dishes.
Got take out spicy pad see ew with chicken - completely flavorless, not at all spicy, worst pad see ew I’ve ever had. Sauce leaked all over the bag and the box was covered with sauce which made a huge mess. Chicken satay appetizer was ok which is why I’m giving 2 stars not 1.
Was in Charleston for an overnite stay only and decided to eat some Thai food. This was down the street from our hotel. We arrived for early dinner and they weren’t busy at the time. The food was tasty although my Pad Thai w/ Tofu could use more tamarind flavor. Everything else was on point flavor wise - house special fried rice, spicy Pad See Ew, Crab Rangoon and chicken wings. Portion size was good and can be shared with one other person. They’re located in a small strip mall near the Tanger Outlet. Location is convenient and the servers were very helpful and friendly.
Everything about this place was phenomenal. The restaurant is cozy and seems to be a family run place. The service was amazing and very helpful with the first time I have ever been. But what knocked it out of the park was the quality of the food. I got the House Basil plate that came with a large bowl of white rice. It was soo good I almost ordered another plate. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Definitely glad I stopped in on a whim while at a conference.
Unbeknownst to us, we went for dinner shortly before closing. (8pm) They were extremely accommodating and insisted we were good to go.
Food was made fresh and servers were very cordial and prompt.
We had an array of shrimp rolls, wings, Singapore noodles, Basil chicken and rice and curry chicken.
All food was fresh, flavorful, and highly recommended.
We brought a party of 13 for dinner. Very impressed with the service and the food. We would absolutely come back. Very attentive wait staff. We had a few people who needed gluten free meals and they easily accommodated that allergen.
Overall, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We came in for lunch and ended up ordering another dish Togo so we could enjoy it for dinner. The service is phenomenal. The food is exceptional. The drunken noodles are a must try.
We dined here three times in January and went back this evening. The house fried rice, green curry, noodle soup, General’s chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and steamed dumplings are great. I recommend tofu with the noodle soup and green curry. The portions are ample. My daughters share one order of General’s chicken with food leftover. A woman and her stepson run the restaurant, so it has that family owned feel. This is in our regular rotation now.

That is not Thai Red Curry. I tasted pickle juice in it and I think the red curry is just pepper in a nasty beef gravy. Price was way too much for nearly inedible food. $30 for an order of red curry and spring rolls.

Service was great and food was delicious.
Excellent Thai! Genuine good you won’t be disappointed.
Best Thai food! Go eat here it’s so good and service is great! So so good
I ordered 5 items last night to try my go to Thai dishes. They were all very delicious. The spring rolls were perfectly fried, the soups were AMAZING and tasty. My new favorite is the drunken noodle! The man at the counter packed my order with limes, yum nuy, prickenoo and soy. He even gave me some real chopsticks. If you want good Thai, this place does it right! Very pleased!
The food was awesome! The waiter guy, he was friendly and very accommodating and helpful when I was trying to find parking (in a large vehicle) definitely stop here if you're thinking about it! The food was extremely fresh and well made.
They have great Pad Thai and appetizers all of their dishes are hot and delicious 😋
Great service, clean and comfortable. Food was great! Mostly Thai with a few Chinese dishes. Get the Thai noodle, any style! They bring you the different Thai sauces, not all spicy, lol! For those who love the heat, there is no better tasting spice than Thai heat! Pricing was very reasonable, portions good, too. Will definitely go back for more!
A great surprise here trying this for the first time. Food and service were excellent.
Super great customer service! Really great with dietary restrictions accommodations! Delicious Thai food!
Best Thai in N Charleston
Fast service, food was hot and big portions. Waitress was very nice. Menu states that they have vegan options available. Seems that they can make any item vegan with a few modifications. I ordered the vegetable fried rice and asked for no egg and to be made vegan. Rest of my family enjoyed their meals too.
Loved the food! Place was clean and service was great! Will definitely be back. Best dumplings I have ever had! Great customer service. ❤️
It was good but not my favorite. Pretty solid. Tofu is good. Ordered Singapore noodles and loved them. Service was excellent very attentive. My partner ordered yaki udon and they were okay but not as good as expected.
Let me start off by saying the food isn’t authentic Thai. We called to place an order a whoever answered the phone was rude stating he was busy and to order online. The chicken entree was disgusting it had big hairs on the chicken. The papaya salad didn’t taste like anything but lime. And they’re too overpriced for nasty food.

Coconut shrimp, veggie spring rolls, and veggie fried rice with egg. AMAZING. We were only going to have the starters but after trying the shrimp, we knew we weren’t ready to leave it there. You can even get spicy fried rice. We tried medium, it was a bit mild for our spice tolerance but next time we will get the spicy 🥵! Wonderful service. Can’t wait to eat leftovers for dinner. Will be coming here every time we are in Charleston. We have a place in the historic district but their food is 💯 and worth the drive to North Charleston! ❤️
This place has great service, but the food was gross. My husband and I have been to many Asian restaurants, this one is by far the worst. They first, got my order wrong (we didn’t realize until we got back home with our food- I was supposed to get sesame chicken and I got sweet and sour chicken. We even corrected the cashier about this at the register before we paid), the crab ragoons were hard and the cheese on the inside was gritty and almost nonexistent. My husbands plate was lacking any kind of taste (he got pad Thai). We had to doctor it up back at the house for it to be somewhat appetizing. They had employees smoking out front, 20 min wait for our food, and they had a sign on the front registers that said “check the quality of your food before leaving the store, refund will not be given once food leaves the premises”. Should’ve taken that sign as a red flag… $50 wasted. Will be going to the Chinese place across the street from here on out.
They had really good customer service but the food was just bland. They got our order wrong and my pad Thai was not even a little sweet. Expensive man just expensive not good quality. Don’t get the crab Rangoon’s, no filling.

Awesome Thai food. Awesome service.
I've been there a few times over the years but the last time was terrible. We waited a long time for anyone to seat us and the employee just pointed us to the seat in the back. Didn't even give us menus or let us order drinks. We walked out. Don't even bother coming here.
Great hole in the wall thai.
A hidden gem. Great food that taste great. Very large serving size. Has become my go to spot.
Very tasty noodle bowl with fried tofu. Very good. Total bill seemed pricey, but definitely going back.
Amazing people and food!
Lots of onions, very little meat.
Our meal was delectable and tasty
We had coconut soup, basil fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, spicy curried chicken and house fried rice
So I came in to place a to go order and the lady that took my order was very nice and friendly. I ordered the Basil fried rice with chicken wings and also got in order of spring rolls. I also asked for a sweet tea to drink. While waiting for the food to cook, I ask for a refill of tea. I will say that the food is made to order. The food was still hot by the time I got to the hotel. The rice, in my opinion, had no Basil taste at all. It was the house fried rice, and I will say they did not go cheap on the meat. Every bite had some kind of meat in it. The chicken was fine in the rice. The stake in the Rice was kind of chewy and have sort of a Licorice taste to it. The shrimp and the rice seem to be the frozen shrimp. The spring rolls were just OK, nothing special. I was a little disappointed that when I got back to the hotel and took a sip of my tea, the lady hab accidentally refilled my drink with unsweetened tea.
I ordered spicy Tom Yum soup with fried tofu, and fresh shrimp spring rolls. Everything was amazing! I ordered via take out but wouldn’t mind dining in. It was a cute atmosphere. Service was also great.
Friendly service but I feel compelled to tell the public this is the worst red curry I’ve ever had. It had the taste and texture of condensed soup. It was truly sickening.
Delicious food...hot and fresh...very nice staff
Glad I came in. Incredibly sweet front staff. Food was nice as well. I love the take on sweet and sour sauce - well done. I will be back when I get the sweet and sour craving again.
Incredibly subpar Thai food. The price makes it almost egregious. Do not eat here.
The waiter is always kind and he never let's your drink run empty for long. And the food is awesome.
Food was terrific. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Fantastic customer service and food is excellent.
I've had curry from cities all over the country and this one just did not meet the standard. The curry itself was thicker than any other Thai curry that I've had, yet was lackluster in flavor. I've tried several interpretations of yellow curry, but never before have had one with red onion, so that kept throwing the profile off. The potatoes were also overcooked, resulting in a very mushy consistency. In addition, this quality of curry is overpriced. If I'm paying $17 for currry, I expect top-quality. At least you receive a plethora of food here so you aren't leaving hungry.
The Pad Thai is really good. Request the pepper tray to sample their sauces.
We were the only patrons at that time and the staff was very attentive to us. We tried a variety of things from the menu and the food was good. I would go back.
I got the red curry with pork. The pork itself was extremely disappointing. It was not the fresh, fatty pieces of pork that is usually served in Thai curries. It was more like the kind of stale tasting artificially red pork you normally find in takeout fried rice. I wish I had gotten beef or chicken. It's a shame because otherwise the red curry was delicious, one of the best I've had. Thai iced tea was delicious as well. Service was very friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting. I'll never get the pork again but I'll probably be back.
My husband and I stopped here for take out after a long day of being a tourist. We ordered the drunken noodles, fresh spring rolls, and the crab rangoon. I also picked out a green tea matcha boba for the cool down heat from drunken noodles. The portions were absolutely plentiful! More than enough for two. The flavor was delightful. Staff were quick and friendly.
We came in from out of town and wanted Thai food. This did not disappoint. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was scrumptious!
Wide selection of great food, never disappointed
They did an amazing job on the food and the staff was extremely friendly.
If you like Asian, you are sure to find something you'll like from their many choices. Tasty food, friendly and fast service, easy parking, reasonable prices. (And by the way, "fusion" is not a synonym for "authentic." It loosely means a merger of aspects of various cuisines. It means dishes "inspired by" the various cuisines. It means "pleasing to the taste and to the eye," not necessarily "the way natives eat it." The dishes are good! Some may be VERY authentic. Just come prepared to ENJOY, not to critique how authentic it is...in your opinion.)
amazing food!! everything fresh and packed with flavor.. I wish I had pictures to put up but we stuffed our faces
Overpriced Cheap Tasteless Food
We were passing by and craving Thai food, and spotted this “Thai East Fusion”. It’s truly a fusion of nonsense. Cheap, watered-down food. The curry had no flavor and the fresh spring rolls were 97% iceberg lettuce, with bad peanut sauce. I can’t believe I dropped $150 for this fake Thai food. Just call it East Fusion and OMIT “Thai”. Maybe some might come here for the Boba Tea (originally from Taiwan), but don’t come here expecting Thai food.
Nice Restaurant. Great food, fast and friendly service.
Good food but somehow a bit different in taste then what I’m used to going for a good Thai place. Bit overpriced we thought for a soup with protein but that’s may be Charleston.
Always tasty! A few vegan options and they are willing to adjust any existing menu items to accommodate your dietary restrictions. Highly recommend the summer rolls with fried tofu! 🤤🤤
The pad Thai was the strangest color and flavor I have ever seen and tasted. Very unsettling eating experience.
This humble little hole in the wall has the best Thai food I've had in a long time. The waitress is a sweetie and very attentive. We ordered almost all the appetizers on the menu as well as the Thom Kha Gai. We rolled out there with very full bellies.
The Mongolian Beef/BBQ is delicious!! So are their crab rangoons and pancit. Love their Thai tea too!! They are always very welcoming and helpful.
Mango sticky rice is a delight. Everything I've had here is just perfect. Great vegan and gluten free options.
First time here. Great food and atmosphere!
This isn’t Thai food!
Me and my friends had a dinner there and we order couple dishes.
No one likes the food!
More than that I was requesting because of my allergies vegan food and I got chicken inside my noodle!
The lady was very mean and not welcoming!
Really bad Thai food.
I love Thai food and I eat it a lot, the flavor here is just bad and the service is even worse.
To top it all up we ordered vegan food and got our food with chicken and the waitress said "ohhh it's just little peices of chicken it's ok".
Half of our group returned the food and left and the only thing that the waitress carried about is putting the bill on the table and harass the half that stayed.
Please don't give this people your business they don't deserve any support.
Tasty coconut soup!
Good and fresh food!
The food was great and they have vegan options! The rainbow salad and the papaya salad can be had without fish sauce or shrimp which is awesome. The teriyaki was pretty good. I forgot to take a picture of hubby’s Masaman curry but he said it was very good as well. The bathroom was CLEAN!
My husband and I have enjoy dining here regularly for over a year. Last week I had the red curry and it was delicious. The pricing is fair for the quality and portion sizes. Customer service has been consistently good - water glass never gets low - which is key when ordering a higher spice level!
Great food. Really enjoyed the Spicy Pad Tai I had.
Payed 20 dollars for 2 bubble teas and they were very watery and bland. The curry tasted like it came out of a box . But, the price is redonkules
Some of the most expensive and worst tasting pad Thai and pad se ew we have ever had. The pink hue on the pad thai is from something?? but not tamarind that is part of a normal recipe. Neither dish has any flavor… this is very surprising considering the highly competitive food market here in Charleston and the higher than average price for these dishes. Certainly will Not be returning to this Thai East Fusion.
Customer service is terrible I had to wait 1 hour for my food even people that walked in and ordered got their food before me they got my order wrong I could’ve been allergic to carrots or peas or vegetables period and I politely asked for no vegetables and I got them anyways I will never and I mean never eat from this place again and I dont recommend anyone else eat from this place at all.
Ordered Mongolian Beef BBQ to-go. There was barely any beef and about 70% of it was vegetables. The flavor was good but to charge $17 for basically stir fried vegetables with some beef added is ridiculous. Inflation may be increasing prices, however, that doesn’t excuse shortchanging the customer…
Lastly, the rice was ok, slightly mushy.
Don't go here for the boba...very bad and is 9 bucks each. They have a very prominent boba sign outside as well. I have never tried the food before but don't come here for boba.
Best authentic dishes. We luv it here
It’s not great but it’s also not terrible. I ordered the combination chicken wings and beef fried rice. It’s honestly way overpriced for the quality of food, but the quantity is generous. The combo can feed two probably three people, so there’s that. Thai spicy had just the right kick for people who can handle Asian spice. The chicken was just ok, not crispy at all.
I also ordered the taro boba and I highly suggest not ordering it. The boba drinks are just a very water downed powered drink with boba balls that is wayyyy overpriced ($10).
Good eats and friendly
Okay this place is good the waiter is very friendly and they give you good portions. Very health meals.
Delicious and authentic Thai food, highly recommended 👍
I have missed dim sum so much and when I saw a restaurant with shu mai, I made a specific trip to come have it. 9 dollars for flavorless dumplings that are not the traditional shape and are filled with noodle and maybe one tiny shrimp? I am so disappointed. They were tiny too! Terrible value for bad food. I would not recommend this to anyone, which is a shame because from reading the reviews it looks like the food used to be very good here, but has clearly gone downhill.
Kinda pricey for a basic plate of food.
The food was tasty and enjoyable. I had these interesting fresh spring rolls with shrimp and veggies that were quite delightful! I also ordered the Gaeng Phet Red Curry with rice, which was also a new flavor experience for me!
The food here is really good!
The most bland Thai red curry I have ever tasted. No curry, coconut, or fish sauce flavor. No spice despite the waiter asking my preference. It had some typically Chinese vegetables in it that didn't belong, like water chestnuts. The only flavor in the curry was what seemed like a hint of canned tomato soup. Other reviews seem to agree that their Thai curries aren't good, maybe they do better with Chinese dishes.
If I could rate 0 stars I would. $15 for 2 wings cut in half with rice. The menu says 4 wings, not 2 wings cut in half. Any other Chinese restaurant gives you 4 whole wings. Not to mention the wings were undercooked! Didn't know until I got back to work to eat. This place is a joke!
Great takeout! Packed appropriately and tasted delicious.
I would give them 100 stars if I could.
The manager came over to our table and personally helped us find 100% gluten free options since I have celiac disease. I'm often worried about going out to eat and he made the decision to get Thai the easiest one possible! Very impressed!
Good food. Had the letuce wraps, would recommend
Good food i really liked the sampler appetizer
Prices have gone up and quality down. It used to be my “go to” Thai restaurant but it’s no longer making the grade
Their food is amazing! :)
Fusion? Fused with hospital food? This was the most absolute bland Thai food ever. The Panang Curry was nothing to write home about. Pad Thai had little, previously frozen several times over shrimp. Dumplings were bland with some sort of fish type sauce on top. Entrees came out a few minutes apart; same with the other diners tables. I’ll give them an A for the iced tea. Avoid if you’ve ever had real Thai food.
We come here all the time. Everything is good here and Joey is super nice!
$18 for Pad Thai and a spring roll... way too much. Pad Thai was tasty...8 out of 10. Was in just before closing, they served me...++
Love the food
Don’t wanna leave a harsh rating or review. But not a good meal we had here.
Food was excellent!! Came out hot and everything was delicious. Some of the best pad thai we have ever had. Will definitely be coming back! Only way they could be even better would be to have an IPA on the menu!
was in town and wanted to try a Thai Restaurant out... Let me start this off by saying.. DO NOT GO HERE!!
no Staff was working on a Saturday.. the lady taking the order didn't understand half of what we order... the Boba Tea taste like no Boba tea I have ever had... she brought out the wrong entrée of food and then try to ask if we will just take it and substitute it for our other entrée. Ended up charging us for the wrong food that she brought out...
We ask for Siracha sauce and she brought out cut up cilantro because she didn't understand and we got charge for the cilantro and we ask and she said it is only $2 is cheap anyway. The Sapparo Beer was Warm as it could be and she would not swap them out for cold ones in the fridge.. the AC was hardly on and everyone was sweating....
I can keep on going with more terrible services but DO NOT Attend this restaurant...
FOR the price they are charging for these plate of foods... it is not up to the standard at all...
The food here is not thai at all. The pad kee mow had a ketchup or bbq sauce chinesey taste not the proper smoky thai taste. The massaman curry also tasted more like chinese than thai and was clearly thickened with corn starch or something that absolutely doesn't belong in the dish. It was spiced with pickled thai chilies which were not good. The chicken wasn't good either. The fresh rolls the pork is bland and basil tasted a little funny. Maybe try the non thai dishes because clearly the chef does not have a thai background.
Very clean. While traveling out of town I try to stay close to my hotel. This was right down the street so I was very happy! I ordered the Pad Woon Sen with chicken (medium spice- which was PERFECT) and the fresh pork and shrimp spring rolls!! Let me tell you what! Come hungry! You get HUGE portions of food for a VERY reasonable price! The food tasted amazing and was very hot so definitely made to order!
Food was real good! Did take out and had one of the curry chicken options and Mongolian BBQ.
The food is delicious... Excellent customer service
I firmly believe that when you eat somewhere it should have the people of that culture cooking it! And this place HAS IT. We started out a little rocky as we ordered the spring roll with shrimp and it came with pork which we don’t eat! And after requesting a replacement dish of the same without pork! They sent back out a second order for me and my wife in which hers still had pork in it... AFTER THAT HICCUP , the rest of the food was EXCELLENT . We will be visiting again....
Friendly staff, yummy food (that can be made vegan!), and a pretty nice area for dining. I would totally recommend!
PS: try the fried tofu, it is AMAZING!
Great food. Glad I found this place
Great customer service and huge portions! The best part is they will make anything vegan upon request, and always check to make sure they have our order correct. So happy to have found this place!
The food is amazing, the service is outstanding, the staff knows their product.
Great food!!! Great service!!! Get the house fried rice with pineapple and iced thai tea!!!
BEST WINGS IN CHARLESTON!!!!
I don’t know how they do it but the subtle but clearly present marinade penetrates the meat completely. Not just a basic wing tossed in an industrial sauce.
👍👍👍 on the prep and execution.
Enjoyed the fresh papaya shrimp salad and house fried rice!
Stumbled upon this place on our way to the outlets and so glad we did! Food was amazing, service was great!
Food was very good! I enjoyed it. Staff is very cooperative and prepared the food as per my requirement. Thanks!
Great food and amazing customer service. Always makes you feel welcome!
Beef Pad Thai, medium spice!
Great food and great service. It’s fairly priced too. Love this place
Worst Pad Thai I’ve ever experienced. Chicken was not fresh and very chewy, shrimp tasted old, overly sauced noodles.
Oh yummy! Mango sticky rice oooohhhhh aaaahhhhhhh
Amazing place, I have eaten here about 10 times over the last year. Everything we have tried has been great! Defiantly worth a visit, really friendly staff makes all the difference.
I ordered togo shrimp pad thai with extra veggies. Only $14! Huge portions! Most places its $20 & smaller! Good flavor, generous amounts. Shrimp slightly small. The guy spoke great english & made sure to thoroughly clarify what was in each dish & informed me that peanuts came in it but I could take them out. He then clarified again before pick up if i had a peanut allergy. I dont have allergies but this place is great if you do because they obviously take it serious. He also was corteous in letting me know that my spring rolls would have beef in case i was a pescatarian. Some of the best fried spring rolls ive ever had! The inside was nicer than i expected, kind of a romantic feel. Ill be back for a date for sure!
Outstanding. Very diverse menu and pictures!!
Great service, fantastic food. Highly recommend it. You can order pretty much anything mild, medium (which is spicy) or hot. They even have condiments they'll bring to the table if you want to kick it up a little.
Spot on Thai! Worth the trip out of town! Do it!
The pad Thai was terrible
A bunch of noodles and some chicken
Really !!!!
Was actually very surprised by this place! Running late and needed something quick for takeout. Scrambled into this spot and ordered a spicy pad see ew. Approximately 10minutes later I got my order, during which time the hostess was very friendly to us. We got back to our hotel and discovered GIANT PORTIONS waiting for us, easily three small meals for me. Not only is the portion size excellent, the vegetables used in the dish were very fresh and the chef did a great job making the noodles - they were not overcooked and were well seasoned. Only thing is I ordered spicy and the noodles were not spicy AT ALL. But I really still enjoyed myself!
Really good good and excellent service
I wish I could give zero stars.I ordered chicken red curry for today . I’m used to eating authentic curry; so I kindly asked to not have babycorn, egggplant, and chestnuts in it. I placed my order over the phone and the cashier repeated it back correctly. I paid with cash assuming my order was made correctly , it wasn’t until I got home when I realized it had chestnuts.I immediately called and politely asked for and refund if I brought the food back. The cashier said it would be fine. When I arrived the cook was waiting at the counter. The cook quickly opened the bag and began speaking her native language aggressively! She was apparently mad and I assume was trying to convince the other employees that I had ate some of the food ( I only ate one egg roll on the way home). So I kindly asked the English speaking cashier if there was problem and she insisted it wasn’t. The cook returned to the kitchen and began arguing with the manager. I felt really uncomfortable and frustrated. Not once did the manager come and speak to me. This whole experience was unprofessional and could have been handled better! So I decided to leave. I didn’t get my money back which is the only thing they cared about!Customer service should be the main focus. Don’t WASTE you’re time with this place!!!There are plenty of authentic Thai restaurants in Charleston that value their customers, instead of just testing them like a dollar!
The service was great and the food was perfect for anyone looking to try something new.
Really great. The Szechuan with the house combo was awesome
Fresh made and delicious, large portions, speedy service. Reliable place for a quick and tasty meal.
Delicious. Had the Thai basil fried rice with shrimp. Very flavorful and ordered it spicy. Great service and good portion size.
Great food, location and great service!
