Their “mango and sticky rice” is horrible. The WORST I’ve ever tasted, I put it in my mouth and immediately spit it out. The rice that they used isn’t even the glutinous rice that’s supposed to make the rice “sticky”. The rice is absolute mush and it tastes disgusting. The mangoes also aren’t fresh and it’s extremely hard and stale. Thai basil should be ashamed of themselves because this is NOT authentic mango &sticky rice I’m mortified by this garbage. Wish I could give negative 100 stars but that’s not available. Also service and atmosphere sucked.

The food was HORRIBLE!

For appetizer i ordered the "vegetarian rolls". For $4 they sent me 2 mediocre rolls. OVERPRICED! Also want to mention, on their menu the "vegetarian rolls come with a mango sauce, its actually duck sauce. For $4 they sent me 2 mini egg rolls with a small cup of duck hustle.

Entree- The shrimp pad thai was disgusting! Very soggy and mushy. The worst pad thai ive ever eaten. It was covered in some thick sauce, It was a mind f**k because they were so overdone and didn't taste nothing like pad thai but i was so hungry, i was just playing with it, miserably eating it slowly. The lemon or lime, was expired. It said such a weird tart taste i dont know which citrus it was.8

The next day I had diarrhea as well, come to find out they gave me food poisoning TWICE. Food allergies have nothing is not fresh, and they don’t care!! Because they are not the ones eating it. Plus they are not real tai food. They are just using the name. I should’ve listened to the bad reviews. If you don’t want to get food poisoning from there bad food think twice before buying here.

Ordered out from this place, food is ready when we got there and served by friendly staff. Got the clear mushroom soup very tasty, teriyaki salmon a little overcooked but still very tasty. Person I was with Captain Tom Tom soup and the mango shrimp. Neither of us had a complaints. Will definitely be back to try something else.

I would give this no stars, but you have to at least give it one star order to write the review this place sucks their food was horrible. I will never go back there again and I will let everyone that know how horrible this place is and the lady was rude.

I don't know what this food is, but it is not Thai food. Staff do not even know what prik nam pla is. The food is not inedible, but it's a huge disappointment if you want an authentic Thai dish.

Ordered on Uber eats against my better judgement, received exactly what I perceived- mediocre imitation “Thai” food.

This is a reliable takeout & delivery spot, the food is always hot and quickly prepared, and of course delicious!! Favorites are the drunken noodles and Mongolian beef - great every time!

The best Thai food in Sheepshead Bay

It's one of our favorite places for Thai food. We are vegetarian, and Thai Basil has tons of delicious vegetarian dishes including General Tso with mock meat. Just so it's clear: it's a take out / delivery place, don't try to come there for a sit-down dinner.

I love Thai food, but Thai Basil was disappointing. I ordered the green curry. It was just okay. I had the food delivered. The curry separated and had to be mixed before eating. The spice was decent, but it lacked a bit of flavor. I'm probably not going to order from here again.

This place gave my best friend food poisoning. She rarely eats out and this is the ONLY take out she has before she had to rush to the ER and was told she had food poisoning. She has been dehydrated, experienced a bad case of diarrhea, and her body has been feeling very tingly. This morning almost a week later she is still not feeling well. Please stay away from this place - it is NOT WORTH IT. 0/10.

Worst imitation food ever, a jack of all trades, a master of none. They have fake Japanese Thai and Chinese food, none of them taste authentic. Customer service is rude, and if you ordered the lunch special, they put the salad and meal in the same container. Their teriyaki beef is the worst, the beef is over cooked and the peppers and onions are raw.

Easily the worst Thai food in NY. They use coconut powder & paste, not coconut milk to save money while charging higher than average prices. The shrimp taste like cardboard. Overcooked, tough & has an artificial look. White with orange stripes. The Thai Tea is watery. The Tom Kha soup has an artificial coconut taste & is very watered down. The staff are very rude & ghetto as well. Complete disgrace.

The food isnt what real thai food should be like. The tom yum soup is very diffrent from what I had in other thai resturants and it had only 2 shrimp in it the rest is just water and a few vegetables. The pineppale curry isn't bad but it costs 12.75 and its made like a soup and lacks flavor in it. It's not the type of food I had in other thai resturants.

The workers are not great, not knowing what the main dishes are like.

Green curry is my favorite, i have tried different things such as: pad Thai, all the dishes with curry , veggies and fish and they were delicious. Always pretty fast. Its a little on the spicy side so if you are not that much into spicy food ask them to make it mild.

We wanted to try a new Thai spot and found this menu in our building so we went for it. It was cheaper then other Thai places I've had but the difference in quality matches the cheap price. It tastes like salty chinese food just covered in curry powder and a splash of coconut milk for good measure. The portions were large but we just threw it out.

Pretty good Thai spot, a little pricey but they give you some BIG portions. So it's worth the money. Just make sure you're hungry enough to eat those portions haha. I reccomend their take on General Tso's Chicken, Drunken Noodles, and the Mongolian Beef.

It is a small place with a Chinese restaurant feel. Ordered to go and food came quickly - masaman curry and drunken noodle. The portions were enough for four people, if 3 don't eat a lot of rice and a smidge expensive, about $21.00. It had an ok spicy kick and was 3/5 star tasty. I've experienced a little better so it didn't quiet surpass that bar in taste. It's worth a quick stop if you are in the mood but I plan to try other places in the area before returning again.

First Time eating here. Very fast great tasting I love Thai spices. I ordered the chicken and broccoli very good much BETTER than "Chinese" carry out. BUT the Chinese carry out has way better brocoli. I forgot to ask for sauce on the side...I like to pour on my own cuts down calories. Be aware it is very spicy.

When I called to place an order, I told the lady on the phone to hold on briefly to verify my order and she hung up. When I called back she said very rudely that I took too long. On another occasion, when I called for delivery the lady abruptly cut me off and told me we don't deliver to your home. They are very ungrateful, rude and nasty. When they start losing business they will begin to treat customers with a little respect. Disgusting!!!

As a first timer, I tried their lunch specials to start out because I felt that the regular meal prices where a bit high to try the food out.
First, the portion of the lunch specials are more than adequate and filling. So far I have tried both the teriyaki chicken and the pineapple fried rice. Both where delicious but the rice in my opinion was the best! I also have to mention the salad dressing because it was so good and fresh tasting I found myself conserving some to use on my own salad at home.
Each time I go I plan to try something different!
