Such amazing service and food. Really deserves more attention than it was getting when we went there! Go try it folks! Maybe take baby steps with the spice level haha. We went to 5 and got what we asked for! No one has spice like Lanna! Great welcoming service. OMG the tofu! So perfect. No complaints at all! Can't wait to come back and try more offerings.
It was our first time visiting this place since it was close to our hotel. I ordered Pho and Pad Thai. I would say the Pad Thai was quite delicious, but unfortunately, the Pho didn’t taste good. Before the food arrived, the server brought a plate of vegetables for the Pho, but they were unfresh and wilted. I couldn’t understand how she didn’t notice, as it was obvious right on top. The broth had too much star anise, which gave it an overpowering smell and pretty sweet. As for the customer service, there wasn’t anything noteworthy to comment on.
My husband and I were in the mood for Thai food so we decided to try Lanna Thai Cuisine. At first when we pulled up, the place looked closed but then we drove around and saw someone inside. They motioned for us to call and we realized it was takeout only. We decided to order anyways. We ordered Grilled Shrimp Papaya Salad, Pad Thai with vegetables and Noodle Salad with pork. We really enjoyed the papaya salad, it was the right amount of tangy, crunchy and a hint of sweetness. It was bursting with flavor. The Pad Thai was great as well, I only wish I had ordered it a little spicy. The noodle salad was okay, I wish the side dressing had some chilies like it traditionally does and the pork itself was a little dry and chewy. Overall, we had a really good experience with takeout at Lanna Thai Cuisine and received fast and prompt service.
I was very excited to try a good rated Thai restaurant in my new neighborhood. The pho was good, but unfortunately the sprouts I was served were old and stinky and the pad Thai was the worst I ever had. It tasted like they used a week old frying oil to make it and I couldn’t taste any other flavor in it just the burnt oil.
It’s a good simple Thai food restaurant… I would stick to the Curries… especially the red curry would be a must try. If you like spicy food then stick to number 4 of spicy level. Do order extra portion of rice or noodles if you want. As along the curry the rice portion is small. I tried the Pho but it was ok. Overall a ok experience
Okay, so I’ll be the first to admit I was a little concerned when I saw the location, it does look very dated on the outside/inside and there weren’t any other customers. I decided to just take a leap of faith and so glad I did! The reviews are spot on.
I ordered the meatball pho and it was delicious! The broth was spot on and the flavor was phenomenal.
The deep fried spring rolls were good, the sauce was okay. About the same as most places.
The only critical opinion I have is on the basil spring rolls - they are HUGE. I know what you’re thinking...that’s a good thing. I thought the same thing too. Unfortunately, it makes them very difficult to eat without them falling apart. Being so large, they couldn’t really be rolled tightly enough to stay together. Having said that, the flavor of the rolls and the peanut sauce was AMAZING.
This was a great find while I’m in town and if you’re looking for some yummy Vietnamese - this is definitely a winner and you won’t be disappointed!
A Hidden Gem for Authentic Thai Cuisine
Lanna Thai Cuisine is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Thai food. From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a wonderful dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every guest feels welcome and well taken care of.
The menu offers a fantastic variety of traditional Thai dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The Pad Thai is a standout—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, tang, and spice. The Green Curry is another must-try, rich and creamy with a beautiful depth of flavor. If you love heat, the Spicy Basil Chicken delivers a satisfying kick without overwhelming the dish’s delicate balance.
Vegetarians will also be delighted with the selection, as many dishes can be customized to suit dietary preferences. The tofu options are particularly well-prepared, with a great texture that soaks up all the delicious sauces.
Another highlight is the presentation—each dish arrives beautifully plated, showing the care and craftsmanship that goes into the cooking. The portion sizes are generous, making it a great value for the quality of food you receive.
Whether dining in or ordering takeout, Lanna Thai Cuisine consistently delivers an outstanding experience. It’s the perfect spot for a casual meal or a special night out. If you’re in the area and love Thai food, this place is a must-visit!
Seems more like a Vietnamese joint than Thai, but both cuisines are done well. Service is good, the restaurant is clean if sparse. Food is awesome. I'm glad to have found a good Phò spot in town!
Wings were tender. Not enough sqeet and sour sauce.
The food was excellent! We will be back for sure!
One of the most authentic and best tasting Thai restaurants in all of North Charleston.l!

When you call this place, they tell you the large soups are 32 oz. This is b.s., they are 20 oz and the price is still 15 dollars. I dont see an option to upload an image to show the use of a measuring cup unfortunately.
Food is terrible. Go to grocery store and heat up the frozen stuff. You can thank me later.
10/10. Service was prompt and fast. I got a take out order and didn’t wait long at all. I will be coming back again.
Stunning, the food is fabulous
Outrageously expensive for what you get. The portion size is decent but it’s maybe 10% protein 90% noodles
Not impressed. Ordered take out, medium spice for Thai Fried Rice. It was as if no flavor was added. The fried egg rolls were mushy and very bland. Won't be ordering again.
Great food and service
Spring rolls and ginger chicken were excellent
Lad na was great. Prices are way too high
Very disappointing. I used to love this place and their food. We have eaten here many, many times. This time was different. We ordered take out, the cheese wantons were stale and cold. And the pad thai had no flavor and was over cooked. Total meal for 2 was $65. Too much for sub par thai. Something has changed. Doubt I will be back. 3 stars is a gift.
I ordered the green curry with pork. Lots of pork! I wish they would add more eggplant.
Other than that, was excellent!
They have singha beer
Absolutely amazing I will be coming back to this hidden Gem
Absolutely Amazing! Me and my husband have been looking for a Thai restaurant that reminded us of the Thai food we had in Virginia. We tried the Thai Fried Rice extra hot with chicken and shrimp and the Pad Kee Mao "drunken noodles " Thai Hot with beef and shrimp and trust me we were not disappointed! Though we had delivery, the presentation was beautiful, food was hot and spicy, and both were absolutely delicious. This is now our go to Thai spot!
The salad made with shrimp & that veg that o can’t remember
I picked up pad see ew for dinner and noodles were undercooked and not the best I’ve had. The Thai tea was really good, though. The person taking care of me was pretty much annoyed or perhaps was just having a bad day. However, it was late. Maybe worth trying another time.
Absolutely delicious! Tofu green curry is fantastic.
I religiously get Lanna's green curry, and it never disappoints. Extremely flavorful, and all of the ingredients taste well cooked and fresh. I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting good Thai food!
饭店环境安静舒适,饭菜味道合适,绿植布置简单合宜,服务态度好,……👌
Although I ordered delivery...the quality...freshness and deliciousness of every single item I ordered was by far impressive! The chicken in my rice and pho was REAL CHICKEN. Not some processed pressed unidentifiable textured substance. I'm absolutely pleased.
The building is a little old, but always clean. The employees are friendly and I am ALWAYS happy with my food. I wish I could go more, but I just don't make it to Ashley Phosphate very often anymore.
Ive been there three times and the food is always amazing and not expensive
Food is always good
I wasn’t sure about this place, but their food is SO good. We have gotten their Pho, Green Curry and Pad Thai, and it’s all so flavorful and great portion sizes!
Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are amazing. Can't wait to go back and try more things from the menu
Went out just for casual food but ended up with a wonderful experience. Service was very kind and friendly and food was surprisingly good. I wasn't very hungry but the spicy pad wood sen with chicken was so delicious that we accidentally finished it all. Even smaller details like the white rice that came with the Thai basil eggplant was impressively good. We were the last table there before closing and the staff still treated us with nothing but kindness. Couldn't be happier, thanks so much!
I love the fried Thai rice with tofu. When I lived in Charleston, I ate here at least once a week. I miss this place. ❤
My favorite restaurant still. Can't wait to go back.
The chicken green curry tastes just like the green curry you'll find in se asia and you get it all for under $10. Definitely will be back
I did not take notice of this place for years. I am in the know NOW and will be one of my regulars. The Pad Thai w/ shrimp is delicious. The purple Taro tea is sweet as well. Thank you!
Lanna Thai is THE best Thai food in the Charleston area! Their food is consistently delicious and staff are very friendly and helpful!
Our most favorite Thai restaurant around 💕 Always great food and service
Really expensive but some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Really popular lunch choice for me and my coworkers.
Food was not the greatest.
This place is AMAZING!! Definitely coming back !!
VERY nice staff and amazing food! I definitely will be back!
Sign on the door says close and it’s a Wednesday. Unfortunately, this is happened more than once where I show up to the location and the online hours say they are open, but they are not an instead of updating it online. They just leave a piece of paper on the window. I drove all the way out here...
We went as a group on a Friday night. The food was amazing. We ordered red curry , green curry, massaman curry and the dishes were made to our spice level preference. The curries were made without oyster sauce and were very flavorful. The quantity was good amount and the prices reasonable. We also ordered bubble teas and they were good too. The service was slow as there was only one server. The place was clean. We enjoyed our dinner.
Amazonly delicious cuisine!
I love all foods!! So good!! My kids love pho!! I can say it’s the best pho and Red curry!!
Real Thai cook, friendly owner
Never answer the phone for take out.
Always great customer service!
I usually get the Red Thai curry dish with pork Thai hot. Could be a bit hotter but there is no complaint. About $17.
I would recommend. I get what i order each time and it tastes good.
I do believe that the restaurant "thailicious" is better quality for price in comparison since it's their local competitor. However "thailicious" has horrible customer service in my experience.
Spend your money at lannas
So when you see the place on the outside and even in the inside you will think to yourself it's kind of sketchy. Once you receive the food and start eating it is amazing. I've had a couple dishes and this recent trip had padthai with shrimp. The shrimp were huge. Brought my friend he thought it was sketchy but the food was amazing and he agreed. You can also order for pick up.
This is a really nice restaurant. The food was very fresh, especially the boba in the bubble tea [They were freshly made 😍] and is all around high quality. The staff are very friendly and were very attentive to us. The interior of the place is very nice, but the exterior does need to some love. I've been here twice and the first time I and my friend almost skipped the place because the outside looks like an abandoned building. During the second trip, my other friends got here first and thought I gave them the wrong address.
This is the REAL Thai restaurant around here. 10/10.
Great food, great service
The water tasted awful and so did the food. The chicken was cold coming straight from the kitchen like it had been pulled from the fridge. The food is flavorless and the sauce is gooey, like it came from a can.
Surprisingly absolutely delicious and authentic
Definitely recommend
Great, authentic food! Would definitely come back to eat! I had the Pho #3 and it was great. Recommend highly.
Nice Service and homemade food
Best Thai food we have found in the Charleston area. Highly recommend!
Amazing and kind staff, fantastic food that has me coming back frequently.
The pho was great. We were we'll served..the decor and atmosphere is a little run down. Despite that we will be back.
Order the red curry and absolutely LOVED it. I'm super picky on my curries, but it was delicious. Definitely ordering from them again. 10/10 recommend!
Excellent customer service great food
Excellent. Went here with my girlfriend, we ordered two appetizers and the pho. Everything was amazing. I also had the Thai iced coffee which was also very good. The exterior of the building is pretty unassuming but the food is superb.
Our fam are super big fans of Thai food. When we first moved to SC, Lannan Thai was the first place we went to. Food is always hot and fresh made ready to order. Hubby and I had a day date from early off days at work while child was away. He enjoyed the Pad See Ew and I had the Pad Ped. When I say delicious...it's an understatement. It was so good and portion was perfect as we had some left over for later. Bubble tea is pretty alright 👍
Looking for the best chicken fried rice in North Charleston? Look no further. Their Thai tea deserves an honorable mention too but warning: it’s sweet! Only one wait staff for about 10 tables on a Sunday evening but food still came within 25mins. Their Tom-Kha soup seemed a little watered down but everything else was great
Food was very tasty. Friendly service and staff.
Found a cooked spider in my stir fried noodles. Never again
1st time dining here. Food was good and the service.
Luv it. Fresh and cool food. Try it. Is not expensive and quality is great.
Incredible food and service!! The Thai rice and Pho were amazing. Thank you for a great dining experience!!
Long wait
Tasty, Friendly, Reasonably Priced.
The pad Thai is delicious here!
Awesome
Dine in open again,
Authentically hot, or mild as you like it.
Unfortunately, I will no longer be a patron of this establishment. After having lunch here with my children, paid for my check and headed to my vehicle. Once in my vehicle about to pull off the woman who served us decided to come to my car and knock on my window. I rolled down my window to ensure nothing was wrong as she proceeded to ask why I did not tip her what she thought she deserved. As she proceeded to explain she does not get paid by the hour and works for tips. In my opinion this act was very aggressive for her to come to my car with my children to ask me to give her more tip. With that said I could not recommend this establishment to anyone as I would hate for this to happen to someone else.
This is by far the best place to get take out from in Charleston!! The boba tea is the best and customer service is spot on! I told my wife I’d like to come back and we did and were met with familiar faces who were just so kind! Warm and cuddly!
Great Thai food 👌
always great! good is authentic and delicious! love the staff. อาหารที่ดี
Excellent Thai food & tea. Nice ppl too. Great place with great prices.
Wonderfully good food with fast and friendly service!😊
Wonderful food, great service, affordable, what's not to like. We will definitely be going back ☺️
The best Thai food that I had in along time: wonderful service: and if you like hot, spicey food, you will love it here.

If I could put 0 stars I would. I’ve had multiple issues with this place and I’ve tried to give them chance after chance because they are conveniently closer to me than any other Thai restaurant. I’ve had to call them out on their inconsistent pricing through Google, their website, and other websites/apps. They’ve given me the wrong food order twice, and now today was the final straw. I called into the restaurant from the restaurant Google info, spoke to someone who accepted my order and told me it would be ready in just 10minutes. I was down the road and arrived by 830pm. Their door sign and Google both state they close at 9pm. I waited at the drive up door (lobby is closed for dine in) despite all the lights looking to be turned off, except for the kitchen, which I could see people in and out of. I still politely waited, tried calling the restaurant, and finally tapped on the drive-in window when I saw somebody leaving the kitchen.
This male employee came to the window, I explained I had been waiting 6-7min at the window, calling the restaurant which is clearly closed despite my call and order coming through, and it being acknowledged, and it stating online that they were not closed yet. He had the audacity to smile, and chuckle in my face, asking if I had spoken to a male or female over the phone, and that I must have not have spoken to this particular restaurant. When I pulled up the restaurant on Google, and showed him the establishment I pulled up and called, he confirmed this was indeed the place. I will never return to this place. I gave the employee a note as I had already written this in the last of the 6min I waited to be tended to, and left.
Never to return. Take your money and fine business to Thai Elephant in Summerville, or Basil in N Chas. Not only is it better. The convenience of this place is NOT WORTH IT.
I drive from Summerville.
This Pad Thai is the best I have in a long time. Great food
Good was delicious. I've been there twice and it's delicious. My friend enjoyed her curry and I enjoyed my pad thai. I love that they have a heat index that you can decide on as well.
This is a great place for Thai or Vietnamese dishes. Food is always fast, fresh, hot and delicious.
Pho me up...
Thai Hot means Thai Hot here
Food is so good and fresh tasting. My husband, who is half Thai, swears by this place. We’ve been several times and neither of us have ever been disappointed.
Not only is the food delicious, the people who work here are always as nice as can be! I also always recommend calling ahead and going through the drive thru because who else can get Thai from a drive thru?!
One of the Best meals I've had in my life time. Lana's snapper. Great atmosphere, great Staff.
We love Lana Thai! It is our go-to Friday night dinner. The Thai curries and Vietnamese dishes are Always good and the owners are amazing folks!
We are new to this area and ordered delivery through Uber Eats. I called in advance to make sure we would be able to get our pho ingredients here fresh and the rare beef not already cooking in the broth before I placed the order. I added into the notes section to remind them I had called.
There was no mention of extra fees for what I asked, so
adding $4 (plus tax) for a couple of little sauce things that are unlimited if we dine in and asking for the basil & cilantro and meat to stay freshly packed not in the broth so we can properly heat and cook in the meat when it arrives is just ridiculous.
An extra 4 bucks on an order we already paid over $60. the total for 2 people ended up nearly $80!!
We could have upgraded both of our soup to large size for that price.
Also, I agree with the previous review I see here that they are not as meaty as most other places we have ordered from either. An additional $4.52 elsewhere would have at least doubled the meat...not just some measly little sprigs of herbs and sauce.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
That's the kind of thing that will lose our business forever.
We spent 79+ bucks for this delivery.
2 soups 2 appetizer and one Thai tea
I expected much better than mediocre. Such a shame.
The best!
Ive eaten her on MANY occasions.. food is always good... Be careful how hot you order stuff tho!! Surprise surprise!!!
love it i eat here almost everyday except Tuesday, but that’s only cause there closed
It’s good and I liked the food, but it is overpriced for what you actually get. The pho portions are not worth 10$ but probably like 5-7. Paid 20$ for a meal that should been around 11-14$.
2nd time going today it was amazing food its fresh and taste so good. Comfort food with a authentic feel.
Very good food quality. Spicy levels are 1-5 but I asked for a 7 and they were able to accommodate! As of this review it is take out only due to covid.
Great Food! Kinda pricey...need to bring back the white sauce!
Good red curry with rice!!
Used to eat here regularly when I worked nearby. Love the red curry w chicken and the basil rolls. Occasionally got the pad Thai but it wasn’t my true love just a nice thing to mix it up. Always tastes fresh and delicious!
Ok. This place is Good and Ok.
The customer service was really nice and helpful. Even though I ordered delivery.
I had this one dish that was really good. I never had it before, I can't say anything bad. It was the one with the fried noodles.
Love the portion and the flavor. To me it was almost like a pho.
They made it like the way I use to get it in Michigan.
As far as the larb. I like it, but my husband didn't.
It was sweet to him.
He's half Asian and this is not what he's use too. Maybe we should of asked if it was sweet or not before ordering.
It still had the same flavor and and a nice portion. Kinda throws you off if you're not use to it being sweet.
We had some left over larb season and just added it. And it was really good after that.
Love the flavors
The Chicken Pad Thai was REALLY GOOD! Thanks, Lanna Thai Cuisine.
Good food, fast service. You can tell that the Vietnamese vermicelli dishes and Pho are a little off on their authenticity, but this is still one of my go to places for Pho.
Always good.
Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and the prices for the mediocre quality of food.
The best soup ever! Love their food! Sweet people too!
Este es uno de mis lugares favoritos me encanta ,
Tiene variedad y cómidas saludable lo recomiendo la atención es muy buena 😋.
This place is awesome! Friendly staff and delicious food! Always amazing
I enjoyed the beef pho. Generous portions.
Great decent food at good price! I would rank this place quite high in good thai food in charleston
Best Thai food in North Charleston and Charleston hands down!!!! I will eat here again and again!! Everything on the menu is delicious!
Love their Pho, kind of addicted actually!
I did not have a chance to taste Thai dishes here but we went there for take away spring rolls and fried rolls. And they were so bad. The filling inside tast nothing like Vietnamese cuisines, not even close, which made me so disappointed. The roll was huge and they put different veggie then wrap it clumsy. It was not cheap and definitely not worth the money at all.
Love this place!!!
I have enjoy Thai and Vietnamese food from all over the country. From California to Florida. I've enjoyed some good and not so good cuisine. I have to say this is some of the best I have ever had!! Hands down some of the best in this area!!
Easy to order on grub hub and got here 30min early!!! Best pad Thai I've had this side of the bridge and prob one of the best I've tried in the entire state. House Thai rice was cooked perfectly and the portions reflect the price. WILL BE USING AGAIN
Delicious authentic thai food. We will definitely be back.
Lanna's is probably the only place I have been to where the food is just as good take out or dine in. Great service, excellent food, peacful atmosphere to enjoy lunch or dinner.
The green curry beef was the bomb! Outstanding!!
Lanna Thai is probably the best Thai food in the greater Charleston area. Everything is perfect.
Great pho..did takeout tonight..purporsion very small for ordering a large pho..disappointed.
I stopped by the first time and the red thai curry is DELICIOUS.
Highly recommended!
Just had Friday night delivery. Can't be happier.
Neighbors recommended Lady Na Mee Krab with crispy noodles. Just finished and it was delicious.
Wife-unit had Pad Thai and was very pleased.
We also had dumplings. They're gone.
Looking forward to next time.
