Our sushi roll, Poke & Burrito is well-known for its freshness and creativity. Our Thai food is authentic and a delicacy.
Outstanding authentic Thai food (and sushi) made from secret family recipes. The pork gyoza were very tasty, served with flavorful sauce. The homemade ginger salad dressing was the best we ever had. Warm friendly service by a delightful family from the Land of the Smiling People. Should become a Charleston favorite!
Really good! Everyone was really hard working and fast. The food was really good and went twice because of it!
I would recommend everyone to check out the menu ahead of time, as they will try to take your order as soon as possible, even if you haven’t had a chance to look at the menu. Not a bad thing as I can imagine they are trying to be efficient, but just be prepared!
The photos show the California roll, Rainbow roll, tofu vegetable fried rice and pad Thai!
I was looking for a sushi dinner and usually shy away from mixed nationality restaurants when good sushi is my goal. That said, I tried King Street Foods due to all the positive reviews and was very happy with everything I experienced. Green salad with ginger dressing was very fresh and large. Sushi was fresh and had a great rice to fish ratio, meaning fish pieces were large and rice was skinny. The service was great!
As to the atmosphere, it is an informal smallish venue. Maybe twenty tables. They do have a 7 seat bar, with full bar offerings...thumbs up! I didn't go for the atmosphere, so it wasn't important to me.
Everything was very clean and the servers were very good about cleaning up after patrons departed. The couple next to me at the bar seemed to enjoy their hibachi. I only ate the sushi option, which was great!
Our server Sammy was super sweet! Salmon sashimi was super fresh and delightful! My son loved his chicken pad Thai. We enjoyed our tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, and avocado roll as well. Nice presentation and all dishes were delicious. We will have to return to Charleston, SC to try their signature bingsu shaved iced next time! Highly recommend if you are looking for good sushi and some Thai food!
While visiting the great city of Charleston, South Carolina by way of sailboat, I came across this little gem of a restaurant while venturing away from the. First, I was impressed that they did not dumb down the menu for Americans and offered authentic recipe dishes that I remember while visiting Thailand.
The food came out relatively quick and was extremely flavorful. I would recommend it for anyone looking for this genre.
Came here to dine in after a positive togo experience. They are an Asian fusion restaurant which I am a bit reluctant about sometimes because I question how well they can execute that many different cuisines. (Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese…)
In my mind, do I pick ramen or pad Thai? Pho or sushi?
Also my husband has celiac, so we asked the server and she gave us several options.
So we went with miso tum yum because I like both those flavors so why not. Flavorful, tangy, savory and not too spicy.
Green curry, 5/5. Delicious, perfect level of spice, creamy but not too thick, flavors were on point.
Drunken noodles - now idk if this is was because we asked for it to be GF, it did lack that depth of flavor that were used to with these noodles. It had a stronger garlic flavor (which I do enjoy) but not what drunken noodles taste like. I asked for it to be spicier and there was no spice at all, so I added more chili flakes, oil and sriracha. 4/5
Yellowtail hamachi sushi roll was nice and clean, spring rolls were standard as well.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Interested in trying the ramen and pho next time.

Literally, the best Pad Thai I have ever had! AMAZING!! 🤩
Minny is the best. Food is amazing
Will definitely return
love to come here with my friend
The owners and staff are super friendly and provide excellent customer service! Always have a great dining experience here. Their food is very flavorful and delicious too! If you can handle the heat and spicy, ask for Thai Spice level! Nom nom nom!
Amazing food and wonderful staff! Highly recommend
Amazing bathrooms and even better food
Great food and great service.
While not super high end, it serves great quality food at good prices. Also welcome change from burgers, bbq and fries. The stir fry with basil / red curry were bang on.
My wife ordered noodle soup and specifically asked for no spicy . At the end , they still made it spicy . Waitress never came back to see if we were okay . I can hear her chatting with other workers and looking at her phone . The restaurant was not that full at that time . It is our first time visited Charleston SC . We followed GOOGLE reviews. I’m not sure how they get 4 stars .
So yummy, me and my friends came 2 days in a row on our 2 day trip lol. Couldn’t recommend enough!!!
Went in on a chilly afternoon for hot sake. We didn't eat, but the fish in the counter looked really fresh. They have a good menu and will definitely go back to try the food. The service was great - very friendly and helpful.
Lovely place, quick service and delicious food. We ordered a variety of food and everything was tasty.
Really good! Everyone was really hard working and fast. The food was really good and went twice because of it!

I had an amazing date and experience at this place in September of 24. We shared Drunken noodles, pad thai, and the a packed sushi roll to the likes of which I've never seen or tasted before. This think was loaded with five of my favorite fish in the sushi kingdom, along with the perfect sauce. We would have been happy with sharing just this. Service is beyond friendly and attentive. They truly want patrons to have a memorable time. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful time. And to Laura for all the good laughs and unforgettable evening!
Food was fantastic, I would highly recommend the sushi burritos and drunken noodles. However, the service was extremely slow for so few tables, the waitress forgot about us throughout our meal (not delivering our drinks or check until we asked about them) which made sense as to why so few people were there on a weekend night.
Food absolutely superseded my expectations for an upper king street restaurant. Delicious, quick, cozy, wholesome staff. Excited to have a new place to eat
Very salty food!
Tom yum soup taste like watery spicy tomato soup… the noodles too, is under cooked or overcooked idk but it’s not normal… you can get better wonton soup at the frozen section of costco… the garaage was mid… spent $100+ for take out to be full over food that didnt even taste good :( BUT THEY ARE OPEN ON THANKSGIVING DAY!!!
The vegetarian Thai green curry here was great and the service was friendly, can easily recommend this place.
Very good Thai food on King Street in Charleston. The red curry was excellent. The chicken karaage was a very good appetizer. Would highly recommend these two. The staff are very polite and nice.
Good chicken karage, hibachi, and red curry

Delicious! Fresh ingredients expertly prepared. Our group of 4 enjoyed cashew nut chicken (yummy vegetables), green salad with ginger dressing, chicken fried rice, pad see-ew, red curry, and Thai spring rolls. They were happy to hold or add ingredients. Our family really likes Thai food, and King Street Foods exceeded our expectations.
Food, was pretty average. Nothing sets it apart from your typical sushi place. Definitely costs more than most too.
Service, language barrier unfortunately. Also only came by once or twice. Not a kid friendly place. No lids for kid cups.
Atmosphere. Bare walls.
Amazingly fresh and delicious sushi. We had the poke bowl and sushi burrito and both were perfect.
The waitress was very friendly and fast. However, the food was subpar and I did find multiple hairs in my chicken as well as it being dry. The meal was too expensive for the quantity and quality.
Had lunch here couple weeks ago. Just randomly found it while looking for 'clean' (i.e. not fried) food. Turned out to be one of the better meals we had while in town. Looks locally owned? Pretty popular on a Tuesday afternoon, which speaks well to it.
My wife and I opted for sushi-she had the sashimi platter and I got a roll and gyoza. Very good food.
Thanks to all.
Green curry, udon, and pad see-ew were all good 😊
Some of the best food I’ve had in a while!
Sammi was an excellent Server and we had an absolutely amazing time! Food was excellent and the tuna was fresh.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST
Ordered orange chicken with rice sub fried rice. Not only was it the most disgusting microwaved chicken breast with a watery garbage orange sauce, but the guy charged me for additional rice. Total was $48+ and the icing on the cake was the $5 for a can of Dr Pepper. This is Charleston and there are far better options. MAMA KIMS IS RIGHT NEXT DOOR
I finally found a good spot for the family dining. I had Padthai and Tomyum here at the King Street Foods restaurant. The food is delicious. The services are great, and the restaurant is immaculate and has a good atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
The best sushi in the downtown 🙆🏽♂️🥳
Just happened across this place. Food service was excellent and my meal was superb!
I never dreamed I would find such delicious authentic Thai food in Charleston. Absolutely delicious!
I ordered the pineapple fried rice, and it was delicious!! Absolutely worth the visit!! The owner was so friendly and the servers were quick to clear empty plates and serve the food.
Sushi is amazing!!!!!!Super fresh...service was excellent
I love this place! The food is so delicious!
Excellent food, excellent service, very clean and within walking distance to most hotels. Came here 3 times while on vacation and was better than most of the recommended places in Charleston.
Absolutely amazing atmosphere and Great food. The staff makes you fell at home. Definitely recommend this awesome spot!
Great service, great food. Highly recommend.
“Mint” and the staff are always so kind and accommodating. I am a consistent regular and I highly recommend their beef pho’, its the best comfort food. I love that I can expect consistency of quality, and great service. See ya’ll soon 😇💕💖
Excellent pad Thai and easily the best boba tea in town.
The sushi looked excellent- I will be back to try it again soon.
Best Thai food we have ever eaten. The Mango desert was amazing and the Thai dishes flavor was excellent. The owner was very friendly and attentive. Great place - you must fry it
We arrived as a party of 10 to try the shaved ice, choosing Mango and Taro flavors. The dessert was a light and refreshing escape from the heat. We also sampled several dishes, including Tonkotsu Ramen, Avocado Rolls, and Pad See Ew—all of which were flavorful and fresh. The experience was so enjoyable that we returned for the next two days to explore more of the menu. The waitstaff were exceptionally polite and provided impeccable service
Vegan & Vegetarian choices are easy here. I got the Sushi Burrito w/ the crispy tofu & sweet chili sauce. It was really good. My other half got the yak soba noodles with steamed tofu. She was very happy. We sat at the bar because we were cold at our table. Our waitress Sammy was super sweet. Authentic Thai food.
Wow. How lucky are we to have King Street Foods! This place is a fusion restaurant which I normally do not care for, but this place breaks the rules. It is Thai-owned, but I have had nice Vietnamese pho here, Japanese tonkatsu ramen, but my favorite is the Tom Yum Noodle Soup (photo). It is an entree soup. It is awesome! Sometimes I like to order the small Tom Yum soup without noodles and then get a little sushi or a cucumber salad, shumai, etc. The owners Mint and her aunt Sung are badass professionals. They own several restaurants and you can see how they run their businesses: like they care and enjoy their job. They walk around and greet customers, make them smile and guide them through the menu. Little things like that make a big impact on me and everyone who dines there! It creates a trust and a happiness that makes me want to come back over and over. Downtown Charleston needed this place to fill a lot of niches and I am happy we have them in our city now! Give this place a try!! :-)
Mint service is very good her hospitality is amazing! Food is tasty this makes me feel just like home! I will definitely will be coming back!!
I hardly ever leave reviews but this place is so good it deserves the hype lol Probably some of the best Asian food in downtown Charleston
Sammy the waitress is the best!
Food was magnificent and our waitress sammy was the best!
Poor service and food was obviously not very fresh. Would not recommend
Food was salty, very small portions. Not better than what you can buy frozen at the supermarket.
We were 4 people and only 2 of us got the food after 45 minutes of waiting. The food for the rest of us came 1 hour later. We were never asked if we needed more water, had to grab our own utensils and napkins. Never again
Nice atmosphere. Food took a long time. We tried the spicy tuna roll & Rangoon for appetizers and they were both really good. Kids had the hibachi and it wasn’t what we were expecting. It was ok though. I had the drunken noodles one of my favorites- but I didn’t like this one much. I ate it but it was different. I had beef so you’d think there would be a slightly beefy taste but it wasn’t. It was like a tomato tasting base with spice and slightly sweet. It was weird. Service was just ok as only one person was working the lobby and it took her forever to come back. Thai. Coffee was very weird.
I never write a review but this place made me so mad. It was 4 of us and each one of us got the food 30 min after of us finished and so on and the forth one got to eat after 1 hour and 30 min. They never refilled water, or to give us silverware. I had to get up and get it myself. Wasted my money and time.
Very nice staff. Generous portion. The tuna salad was very nice.
Fairly new place with a great ambiance. The menu has a diverse select of dishes to choose from with vegetarian options included. Prices are in the typical range for an eatery downtown. The staff was very personable and made sure that I was satisfied with my menu choice. 10 out of 10 recommend.

First time here and we got the Thai tea, Drunken noodle, and Padthai . All were delicious! Great portion sizes and atmosphere is relaxed, with exceptional service. The food was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Delicious food. The young lady at the front was very friendly and nice. Everything was very clean, and the wait was not too long.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Thai food.
Great service unusual different loved it!!!!
Low-key don’t let that throw you off
Definitely a must see don’t let this One pass you buy
Great drinks
I read about its 4.9 rating review, and I went there for dinner. I ordered Tom yum chicken noodle soup, my experience from the food, service, atmosphere were terrible. Servers were talking, texting, spray cleaning tables than to respond to my order, and bill check out. A dog barking constantly in the resturant kitchen, a server carried a white poodle dog in the dinning area. I don’t think it is allowed under the resturant owner’s cleanliness rules.
Chicken meat in Tom yum soup was tough, it was not sliced properly as it supposed to be for making the meat tender. I left 3/4 bowl behind and left after paying $18 for the soup ( not worth it at all) and $2 tips. No more coming back for sure.
This establishment is AMAZING!! Service was amazing!! Food was amazing!! Price was amazing!! You want some good Asian food, this is definitely the place to go!! You will not be disappointed!!
This place is excellent!! The poke' bowl was super fresh & the sauces were yummy. I had house & ponzu. Hubs had sweet chili. I highly recommend this place. Great service too!
Really wonderful and fresh. We were here for lunch and were thrilled with everything. The food was really tasty and the service was excellent. We would certainly come back.
Very good food and a lovely service.
I can really recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
We stopped in for a quick lunch on our last day in Charleston. We got the jalepeno himachi and the tuna tar tar. It was so fresh and tasted so delicious. The tar tar had great flavor and the won ton crisps were the perfect crunch. I also ordered a Thai iced tea which hit the spot.

10 out of 10! We were craving Thai and sushi and King Street foods hit the spot. One of the owners, Mint, took care of us and she was fantastic and friendly. The shaved ice was light, refreshing, and unique. This will become one of our frequented places and look forward to going back!
Excellent! This was my first time here. Came with my Thai friend and we have tried authentic Thai food and it’s amazing here!!!
We loved it!
We got papaya salad 10/10
Pad Thai delicious
Wings were our favorite!
Es gab sehr leckeres, frisch gekochtes Essen und eine sehr nette Bedienung. Absolut empfehlenswert!
Ramen, curry, sushi and cocktails were delicious; great flavor and as much heat as you can handle. Service was excellent; Mint is the best! Great atmosphere; clean and comfortable.
Got the Hot Mama and Maguro Fuji rolls! They were both so good and this is a gem spot on King Street. Was only here for a day and was very hesitant to come with the other sushi options bear Charleston, but this place is great. This place is new and I highly expect them to be much more popular by the time I come back. Better than 167 sushi bar which we also visited. Highly recommend.
We were visiting from Raleigh, NC staying downtown and stumbled onto this place, and let me tell you I am so glad that I did!! The food and service were so amazing. The Poke Bowl is the best I’ve had and I have tried a couple in NC but this restaurant beats them my a mile. If you’re ever in Charleston SC and want some authentic Thai food this is the place. Stop in and try this place you won’t be disappointed.
Wonderful food, both the sushi and pad kapao. Even better people! Thank you :)
Ramen is awesome.
We had a wonderful experience at King Street Foods! The food was incredibly delicious and refreshing and flavourful. The proprietor, Ms. Mint was such a delight. The atmosphere that she and her staff add to the food makes this place an all time favorite for The Smith family!
The red curry was delicious and full of flavor. Next time I might just tip the bowl and drink it down. I might ask for an extra serving of rice next time.
The sushi will melt in your mouth. The service is fast and incredibly friendly. The drinks are delicious!! You must try it! You will not regret it!
We recommend the shaved ice. It was so soft and flavourful. Sushi and poke bowls were great too. Pricing was great.
Ordered some Breezy Snappys, the wonderful lady, Mint, that invented it was there today and I never seen such love and pride as she crafted our drinks 😍 She was too sweet!! The staff and the food was superb!! 100/10 I love coming here. Order the Tom Yum Noodle or the Tomkutsu Ramen, empty bowls all around!
Come visit Mint and her team, we had Pad Thai & gyoza it was awesome. She comp'd desert too.
WoW it's awesome here! Highly recommended
Great gyoza and pad thai, came all the way from Australia, great service and prices
Authentic Thai (my wife is Thai so she said it was authentic). Fun sushi options. Interesting cocktails. Mint was extremely nice, who is also Thai. Chef is also from Bangkok.
Came to get their Taro shaved ice. This shaved ice is not your typical southern shaved ice. It is very fine and soft in texture. They have a special machine that makes it, so likely you won’t find this elsewhere in the area. 10/10 flavor with this ice dessert. It is a must try!
The food is amazing and the whole aesthetic of the place is really nice. However, I'm severely disappointed because they charged me for someone else's dinner and still made us pay for ours after saying that my card declined. Mine and my girlfriend's total came out to $44.40, however, I had a charge of $41.48 to my account. As two broke highschool students, this is really frustrating because of how much stress it caused, not only worrying about why my bank balance was suddenly severely under what I had last checked it to be, but also trying to find a way to pay a tab that should've been paid to begin with. Not risking coming here again cuz I really don't have the kinda time or money to be wasting like this. Food was immaculate tho, I'd hug whoever the chef is.
Such a great experience and really good food! We made a reservation for Father’s Day and they brought us out an excellent shaved iced dessert that was Thai tea flavored - I don’t recall the name but it was so good! We will definitely be back!
Food was amazing and service was great! Restaurant was very clean and would definitely recommend to others!
David and Seng and the food were
Amazing!
Server was great! But the food.... it's amazing. Probably the BEST asian food I've ever had in SC. I don't think anything rivals this restraunt. If you love Thai and Japanese, this is one to try! The service and food is the definition of perfection in a restraunt. Owner is very kind AND knowledgeable! Also there is a Restraunt in Naples Florida. THIS IS A MUST GO EVERYTIME!
Food was really great, quality and freshness was awesome. Staff was super friendly and nice. Will come back to visit soon.
great food and lovely staff .
Absolutely love this place! Great ramen, sushi, and boba! The salmon roll was very affordable and extremely fresh and the ramen was delicious. Can't wait to go again!
Excellent food with amazing service. We got their sushi and it was some of the best I've ever had. Very impressed and hopeful this business continues to do well!
Amazing food, very filling, staff was very nice and atmosphere was very calm and enjoyable👍
Great service fantastic food: sushi burrito with tuna was amazing and my husband got spicy pad Thai. Highly recommend.
Food here is great! Definitely recommend the pad see-ew and the shine on cocktail. 10/10 recommend.
The shushi, crab rangoon, and boba tea are all fire. They were running a buy one get one crab rangoon special which is a really good deal. We only tried one sushi roll because of this special but are looking forward to trying more of their offerings!
Ordered tuna tacos to go and it was awful, no flavor, no sauce, dry. As a minimum they could give a spicy mayo on a side to make it edible
We found King Street Foods by chance and we’re so glad we did! The staff was so kind and welcoming, the food came out quickly, and everything was delicious! The portions were a good size, especially the Thai Icee dessert. We split it between 4 people and could barely finish it. Would highly recommend!
Chicken Pho, it surpassed every expectation.
Everyone’s food was great. Service was outstanding. Very reasonably priced for this area of Charleston.
Stopped in for lunch and couldn’t have been happier. Delicious food, good service and reasonably priced. Two thumbs up!
Came upon this place by chance and my group of 7 was blown away but the service and quality of food.
Went to King Street Foods and loved our dinner! The owner Sung was wonderful and friendly and the food perfect! We will absolutely be back soon!
The staff is really kind! I got the Charleston sushi roll and it was crazy delicious. Probably the best sushi I had in a long time. Definitely recommend this restaurant and wish them loads of success in the future!
We had such a great time at the restaurant with food. The service was excellent. My kids enjoyed the sushi rolls. They even served us a dessert on the house to make it an extraordinary evening. I highly recommend this place if you are on king street and feel like eating Asian food.
Amazing place for a good dinner visiting Charleston. The food was amazing and very filling and fresh. The staff were so sweet and made the experience top tier!
Good food at a good price - a hard combination to find in Charleston. We'll be back for the ramen!
Staff was very friendly! I had a shrimp tempura roll and it was fantastic and everyone in our party really enjoyed their meals as well
Great food. Great service. Great cocktails. Great and sweet owners.
The food was delicious and the staff was great!
Great food. Ate the gyoza, miso, and fried rice and everything was exceptional. The service was great and the music was great! I will be back!
Small and not busy, but good food and the owners are so sweet and adorable. Restaurant has good ambiance and there is a bar as well.
Everything we tried was tasty! The ingredients tasted fresh. I will definitely be coming back!
The service was very good. Staff were friendly. Food came out fast. We tried both their sushi and Thai dishes and they were tasty! The place is clean and very open atmosphere. They also have awesome dessert menu. We will definitely come back and next with the kids!
Amazing food!! I got the Pad Thai and it was so delicious!! New favorite Asian food spot in town 😎 Everyone is also so kind!! Great big portions for cheap.
We had such a great lunch and experience here! We had the delicious papaya salad as well as sushi. The sushi rice was so fresh and sticky! Such a great addition to King St! Also, the Thai donuts were delicious. We will be back.
Best poke bowl I have ever had. ORDER THE DESSERT!!!!!!
10/10
King Street Foods is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Charleston's vibrant scene at 347 King St. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a modern, pristine ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff radiates warmth and hospitality, making you feel like an honored guest from the get-go.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! Each dish is a masterpiece, freshly prepared with a burst of authentic Thai flavors. The Pad See Ew had me swooning—it's easily among the best I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. And don't even get me started on the fried dumplings; they were pure delight on a plate!
But what truly sets King Street Foods apart is the impeccable service. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every aspect of your visit is nothing short of spectacular. They're attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in ensuring your dining experience is nothing short of perfection.
Now, onto the parking situation. While it may be a tad challenging, fear not! I've got a local pro tip for you. Head up Meeting Street, turn onto Burns Avenue—it's a bit narrow, but if you can navigate it, you're golden. Just before you hit King Street, you'll find parking to the right. It's pay by app, so be sure to download it beforehand for seamless parking management. Like adding an extra hour from anywhere in the city.
In summary, King Street Foods is more than just a restaurant—it's a culinary haven where exceptional food, top-notch service, and warm hospitality converge. Make it a priority to pay them a visit—you won't be disappointed!
