Chef Rudee brings a taste of her native Thailand with a range of classic dishes —rich with flavor, aromatic spices and fresh ingredients.
There’s a Thai Restaurant right up the block from my Martin & Michele’s Home … they never ate there yet. I chose to explore this little gem myself for dinner tonight. This restaurant has understated elegance, phenomenal service and their food is outstanding.
I was greeted warmly by Toei and she was welcoming, interested in whether I had ever dined with them before and just friendly in such a great rapport building manner. She made some recommendations which I pondered and the accepted.
For starters I thoroughly enjoyed the Thai Steamed Dumplings … delicate with just the right amount of subtle peanut flavoring & spice. Absolutely a BIG Thumbs up.
My entree also recommended was Panang. This is a one of their Curries and it was exquisite; spiced to an authentic Thai level. I loved it and will have Curries again and again. I may even prepare some myself it was so good.
The last was Thai home made Coconut Ice Cream. This was also very delicate and packed a beautiful punch of fresh
Coconut and d shavings. It is a bit more crystallized than other ice cream. Excellent in every way.
Okay, I give this restaurant 5 stars and I will be back! LIVE LOVE LAUGH & THRIVE … 💙😎💙

Chef Rudee is from Thailand and her traditional meals are the best in the area. We had Kanom Beuhng, classic Thai crepe filled with shrimp, coconut shreds, and tofu. Rudee’s Combo, shrimp, chicken, pork & beef stir-fried with mixed veggies in a sweet brown sauce. Also had pad Thai and the fried fish. Dessert included homemade coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice. The service, the food and location makes this a five star!
Absolutely LOVE it here. My grandmother is from Thailand so I have an appreciation for authentic Thai food. This is the best Thai restaurant on the Main Line. This place never disappoints, from the noodle dishes, to entrees to salads and desserts, EVERYTHING is good. And the service is exceptionally kind. Wish I could leave more than 5 stars for this amazing establishment!
Highly recommend eating here! It’s very authentic and they prepare Thai dishes such a rad na noodles (delicious wide rice noodles in gravy) and the pad Thai is so tasty! We enjoyed dining in and will be back. This is our favorite Thai restaurant on the Mainline!
This is NOT Thai!!!
We ordered a fried rice but rice was porridge texture, it got chunks of tomatoes in it! Crispy fish was shocking, the fish came warped in tinfoil and sauce in a container which we couldn’t finger out if it’s sauce or soup (it got cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, green bell pepper and carrots in it) . I suspect that neighbor kids worked in the kitchen and made this order.
Calamari was very rubbery. I'm not a fan of the fact that the client has to absorb the cost for using their credit card. That seems to be the norm but I rather not shop at those type places
Holy s***t this Pad Thai is good. Best I’ve ever had. Medium spicy was really nice heat. Panang curry is good. Pad see ew so good.
Updated March 2022. Still #1 Thai place in my book. Everything is so fresh and the flavors shine through. I will try to add more photos from our take out soon. I think the portion sizes are very good. Seems like you get more protein than other Thai restaurants around. Yum!
Wow! The flavors were so good in every dish. I can't wait to go back. See my pictures for details. Met the owner. He is a sweet man and very kind. Great chef.
I searched for good Thai food for a long time. I’ve been to every Thai place in the area. This is by far the BEST.

Worst Thai restaurant I have ever set foot in. I order chicken pad thai carry out for 19 and some change for a chicken pad thai. And they didn't even put any Napkins and cutlery in the bag.

Traditional Thai crusine - great prices and service - the dishes are tasty

I had a great meal. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was homey

We placed a pickup order and received 2 incorrect items. When I called the restaurant to report it, the owner/manager told me that I was wrong and I received exactly what I had ordered. As I had ordered the same items many times before, I knew this was not the case, however she became very argumentative and hung up on me. Terrible customer service shown towards a fairly frequent customer. We won't be back. And the food now isn't as good as it used to be anyway- there are much better Thai options in the city. Even Cocothai in Narberth is better than this one and at least they care if you receive what you paid for.
Rude is the hostess
Massaman curry lame
Chicken saray chewy
My rice was in plastic and gummy. 65 bucks and I'm home making dinner
👎🏻
Pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! My husband and I dined here early on a Friday evening. We had the tofu and steak appetizers, Tom Yum soup, green curry, and coco-shrimp.
Everything was delicious, flavorful, and came out hot! Service was prompt and efficient. We will definitely be back for dining in or take out in the future!
Outstanding food. A local gem.
Almost didn't want to review because the secret would then get out. Very low key place, sparsely decorated yet comfortable, far from crowded. But the food is oh so delicious. Fresh ingredients, expertly prepared, flavors galore. Friendly service as well. No longer need to go into the city for good Thai food. Go now before it blows up and you can't get a table.

I had the thai iced tea amazing
Always terrific food at rudees. The soups are delicious and very large and all of the dishes we get are always delicious. The crispy taro, thai basil, pad si ew, and all the curries and other signature dishes are so good. Never a disappointment.

Everything Ive ordered here is prepared with care to perfection. The veggies are fresh. Sauces are so flavorful and spicy. Duck was crispy and delicious when I tried Diane’s dish.
Best Thai food in the area. I have eaten here/gotten takeout at least 30 times over the years. Never once had a mistake with my order the service is always excellent.
The satay and pad Thai as well as curries are great but the real standouts are the amazing pork and peanut dumpling appetizer and the crispy tarot roots. My kids fight me for the roots.
Great service, food and prices. Best Thai in the area easily I have tried many.
👎👎👎👎👎
Best Thai food in the area. Everything we've tried has been great but some standouts are the green curry, chicken satay and som tum salad. Love that you get to choose the spice level (1 to 4) on most dishes too... the 3 is perfect for me
Very delicious food. I think this is one of the best Thai places in the area. So flavorful and the portions are nice. Will definitely be coming back.
Just amazing in every way!! Extreme flavor and quality of food- will be back thank you!
Very bright lighting and noise from poor acoustics is a major distraction from GREAT FOOD & SERVICE...
OTHERWISE WE LOVE RUDEE'S!!!!
Excellent food, fresh vegetables, good quality
I thought I might have covid after tasting the food, only to realize the food was just flavorless. One thing was that it was pretty to look at.
First time been to this place, we ordered veggie drunken noodles and chicken drunken noodles. Me and my wife enjoyed the food, Thank you.
I ordered drunken noodles via DoorDash and was not disappointed! Even after the 15 minute drive, it was probably the best drunken noodles I’ve ever had! Spice was perfect, veggies were fresh, and the garnish vegetables were even great!

Thai is my favorite cuisine and Rudee's is the best in the area. I recommend the house salad, green curry chicken, tom yum, and spicy basil chicken. If you order pickup, call the restaurant directly to order. Don't use online ordering for pickup orders.
I never leave reviews, but we found the food very bland, overcooked, and overpriced. Especially considering that Mikado/ Thai pepper is around the corner & more reasonably priced with better ambiance we will never go here again.
It’s been an hour and they still didn’t make my order.
First time here and the food was delicious. The shrimp rolls were incredible. Will be back again soon.
Cleanliness: 5/5
Appetizers: 4/5
Entrees/Main Dishes: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Spent my birthday dinner here. Place is well lit, well ventilated, and very clean looking. Don't let the simple looking storefront fool you, it's almost a different world inside! (In a good way)
Appetizers were docked a point from personal preference. We had the vegetable egg roll, but it was a little heavy on cabbage fillings, which is something I typically do not prefer. THE FRIED TARO IS AMAZING. Highly recommend this appetizer for it's flavor, sauce, and quantity, good for sharing. So is the CRYING TIGER appetizer. The sauce for that steak is pretty phenomenal.
Entrees were a knockout. Everyone in my group cleaned their plate. Among the items ordered: [Crispy Duck] [Diana's Dish] [Drunken Noodles]
All were good portions, not too much but most definitely not too little.
Unfortunately no photos were taken as the food was just THAT good.
12/10 would return here to eat!
She plays around with delivery drivers.
Terribly Rude cashier. Not even properly answer the questions
Probably some of the best Thai food in the entire Delaware Valley region.
We had Bangkok fried rice, Kanom Beung, Tom Kah soup and Thai Iced tea. The flavor is rich. I’ll say it’s authentic taste of southwest despite a little sweet.
Best Thai food around!!
The pad thai was really good. I loved the texture of the noodles and how sweet the sauce tasted.
Very good! I am vegan and I found enough on my first visit to leave full and wanting to return. I enjoyed the crispy taro appetizer. I had it with the spring roll sauce (orange sauce with ground peanut). I also had the coconut soup (Tom Kah?) and they let me choose my veggies in it. Friendly server ladies. Clean and new decor. Beautiful paintings are a excellent touch.
The food we ordered was great. I even went back the next night for dinner.
The food is very good and so with the service
This is an outstanding restaurant to take friends and family if you wish to enjoy on light out In a well run establishment with excellent service and food of the highest I'm not a big Of Asian food however this restaurant has certainly pique the interest of me I like family This is a Place That I would highly recommend to anyone who does enjoy Asian cuisine
Food is great
Service is great
When I’m here
Life is great
This place is wonderful. The food is excellent and reasonably authentic. Both the American pallet and those who have spent time in Thailand will find dishes prepared to their delight. The facade and unassuming dining room don't quite let you forget that you are in a strip mall and not a fancy locale, but the food certainly exceeds those expectations! The service is attentive, friendly, and engaging. Take a trip to Rudee's Thai and you won't be disappointed!
Very nice people. Delicious.
Not easy to get soy free if you're allergic...just a heads up
Really Great food a d made to order
No fancy place here but fabulous food and presentation. The food is as good as it's presented on the plate. Yummy!
Delighted to eat at this wonderful restaurant - everything was fresh and healthy and flavor combos were delicious - just sorry we hadn’t gone sooner!
In the shopping area near Whole Foods, that has Sang Kee Bistro, CVS, Philadelphia Lobster and Seafood, and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Very good food and excellent service
The food is fresh and delicious.
A little bit on the expensive side but food is freshly cooked and they quality ingredients like fresh vegetables are used
A small Thai restaurant that's in the spot of the old Dakota Pizza - near Sang Kee Asian Bistro. Easy parking. The place is BYOB. Service the night we were there the service was a bit slow. The place sits less than 50 people and can be noisy. Servers were friendly and helpful. Note: there are 4 skewers in an order of chicken satay. We were hungry so we ate two before I remembered to take the picture.
Decent flavors. Spicy level of 4 is really spicy, so be careful. I would say the cost is a little high for typical Pad Thai and Thai curry, >$15 each. Decor is clean, but feels cold, especially with background jazz music. There were many oil paintings on the wall, not quite typical and thought little strange.
This is a newly opened restaurant, and I've only been here once so far -- but that was the best tasting (and nicest looking) plate of basil fried rice that I can remember having. More adventurous eaters (which I'm not) will probably appreciate some of the chef's creative specials, which you don't always find at Thai restaurants.
