We were the only dine in guests of the night (the heat was at 40° in the dining area when we were seated but they cranked it to 65) but the service was still very attentive. The food was well portioned and pretty good ; we had the pork gyoza as an app and I got pad Thai while my boyfriend got the ground chicken special and Thai tea.
Pad Thai I ordered for takeout was a giant mass of congealed rice noodles with a few pieces of veg and chicken just on top. Chicken was under seasoned and chewy. Really disappointing and unappetizing for $17.
Found this restaurant while looking for a Thai restaurant to visit for dinner. It seems to be a newer business and has this hole in the wall vibe to it but the food!! The food is fantastic.
We had the crab rangoon, chicken wings, Thai tea (generous portion), drunken noodles and chef special Thai basil with ground chicken.
While the sauces here lean towards the lighter or “healthier” side, the quality and quantity of the food is well worth every dollar.
The service is spot on here whether grabbing takeout or dining in. So long story short, go. It’s worth it.
Got take out and food was delicious! Everything was very flavorful and great portions. I will definitely come in person to try as well.
We get takeout here often and usually it's good. This time we got our usual order of drunken noodles and the order with beef tasted very off. Almost like a musty or old taste. I did not feel sick after but this was not the same quality of food we've received before. Also, instead of the usual long black plastic containers, they packed our orders in the smaller, white, round containers. We will try this place once more as it's usually good, but I hope it will be better next time!

Delicious Thai food, perfect for takeout ☺️Great service too.
This place is the best! I've only done takeout and we basically order the same thing every time because we love it so much. Definitely recommend the drunken noodle, basil fried rice, spring rolls, and veggie gyoza! The vegetables that come in their dishes are fresh and cut into big pieces with a crinkle knife! They also wrap up the takeout food very well which is super important (e.g. they cut a hole in the side of the spring roll container to let out the steam so they don't get soggy). Try it, you won't be disappointed!
I usually get the drunken noodles which is always good. Fast and good portions.
Expect to pay fishtown tax as this location is more expensive than the original sunrise in south philly.
10/10!! Super flavorful dishes with fresh shrimp and perfectly crisp wings. Basil rice blew me away. Definitely will be back
Didn't appear to be the cleanest of places, but I decided to try them out from their reviews. Pad thai was lacking, mainly in ingredients. Like another reviewer said, just noodles, sauce, chicken and a few bean sprouts, nothing else

The food and service were very good. The food was actually excellent. The dining area was small and the tables were close together, but that's not a big factor.
I have ordered from here for delivery more than once and it's phenomenal. Perhaps they do more business that way. Went to the restaurant for a sit down lunch and the food was excellent, as always. The service was really lacking. It wound up being a two-hour lunch, not because my friend and I were being leisurely, but because we couldn't get the staff's attention. Will keep eating their food, but will order for delivery again.
I order lunch when I can but their food is always my go to.
Tom Yum soup is to die for - i love spice but anything beyond medium spice level is too intense for me. The spring rolls are great, I wish they gave you more sweet chili sauce on the side for take out orders. The man attending the takeout counter and answering the phones is so sweet and courteous.
Wildly inconsistent food quality. I've sadly never had good Thai in Philly. This place doesn't cut it either.
The food here is just OK, I’ve had much better. One I main issues is that they refuse to update the menu online. Everything is cheaper online but when you show up they charge you 2-3 dollars more. Eg Chicken pad see ew is $12.99 online. When you show up it’s $17.99 after tax because it’s $15.99 when you show up. Not to mention that’s extremely expensive for what you get and the quality of food. A basic chicken and noodles dish for $18 no thanks.
Food was fantastic and fresh, really nice people also!
So for starters, walking up to the street front of this restaurant it is a local restaurant and takeout I'm not fancy about it. However, the menu is tremendous! It has every possible offering for Thai food that you can think of so we were immediately impressed with the variety of choices. My friend who is Lao Asian was very impressed that they even included some delicious entrées from Laos. When the food arrived, which was lightning fast and was cooked, made to order, it is by far, the most amazing Thai food I have ever eaten. EVER!!! in fact, these meals were so good that we ordered extra meals to take home with us so we would have more of the following day!!! Drunken noodles, pad Thai, Lao Asian salad, tum yum soup, and spicy vegetables (& they are very spicy!!) or some of the things we ordered. we have marked this as our favorite Thai place to eat, and will be coming back frequently also, the staff are running this restaurant phenomenal. We were greeted so quick, and the food rolled out so fast. It was a wonderful experience.
I'm crying tears of joy because there's finally a good thai spot in this neighborhood.
A very good Thai restaurant. The food is amazing well done and just soooo good I would recommend this place to anyone who looking for a Thai restaurant.
I went there today with high expectations but the food was the worst I have ever had. Little chicken in curry, very large cut veggies to fill the cup. Service was good and people were friendly. Bathroom was filthy and jasmine rice was sitting in the back, wide open. Could be contaminated. Overall, I don’t see how this is a 4.5 restaurant. I eat Thai food often and this was the worst unfortunately.
This place has by far the best thai food in philly. I have ordered about 20 times and the quality stays the same, the food is hot when it's delivered, flavorbomb in your mouth no matter what you order. Can't go wrong with the curries or drunken noodles, the appetizers are amazing. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone, and the people are extremely nice.
This place used to be my go-to for takeout, but for the last few months, the food has really changed for the worse.
The pad Thai is now just noodles, chicken (in my case), and bean sprouts. Nothing else. The pad see ew had barely any Chinese broccoli in it. The egg plant basil dish suddenly came with chunks of chicken rather than ground chicken, with no forewarning. I sometimes ask for medium spicy… sometimes it hits that, sometimes it has no spice (or flavor?!), sometimes the spice is all in one spot of the dish, sometimes it’s way spicer than the usual “medium” here.
I can never tell what I am going to get with this place anymore, and I have unfortunately had to give up on them. Maybe I’ll try again in a pinch, but I’d rather not at this point.
I love their food, we ordered drunken noodle, panang curry and spring rolls the food was so good and the portion is big.
No idea how this is so highly rated.
We ordered 3 different plates, and they were all inedible. Had to leave everything.
Much better thai restaurants in the city.
The Panang Curry is sooooo good, I always add tofu and veggies! They definitely make the best ones that I’ve tried so far!
Definitely not 4.8 😡 I spent $75 and ate maybe $2 / the food was flavor. As to say I did something un ordinary - I threw the food out. The salmon was a small portion and asking with the vegetable in which they laid - completely flavorless. The Rangoons lacked cream, mushy mainly cream cheese. Shrimp wonton soup, wontons lacked flavor and soggy. Pineapple fried rice also flavorless. I was so disappointed on everything 😣😢😩
$17 for fried rice
$7 for a small soup
It’s ok
Tasty, got some good healthy options, and not afraid to turn up the heat when I order Extra Spicy. A+
Love the panang curry! I order through door dash for delivery & my food is always hot and packaged well! They always follow my requests, thank you for caring!!
Staff is very friendly & welcoming. I've ordered from here twice (beef pad, crab rangoon, drunken noodle, spring roll) & the food was great both times! Love the texture & taste! I will be ordering from here again!
Food is delicious and service is fast and polite. Price is pretty good also.
Did takeout .. pad thai was very good, but curries bland and tasteless.
Great pad Thai and drunken noodles. Good flavor and spice. The only thing is in the pad Thai we got veggies and tofu and it needs more tofu, it only had a few pieces. Overall, good new carry out Thai spot.
I wanted Tom ka gai, because I used to eat it pretty frequently as a child, and was craving it. I ordered a bunch of other popular items. It was freaking delicious. It's so nice to have a Thai restaurant in the neighborhood! Just 2 years ago, we were saying that Fishtown was missing good Thai. Good job guys.
One small nit pick, cut those onions a little smaller in the Tom ka gai, I had cut them up with a spoon to eat them!
Really good! So glad there’s a Thai place local to the neighborhood now! Beware because the spicy is actually Thai spicy (but it hurts so good)
Editing my review: just ordered pad Thai take out and the only vegetables in this dish are bean sprouts.
Love this place. Try the shrimp yaki soba!

omg best Thai food in philly
The pad thai is delicious. Very friendly service and the food is ready pretty quickly if you call for pick up.
Delicious and a great value. Yummy yummy Thai.
Excellent food and excellent customer service
I ordered take out. Unfortunately, the level of hygeine of the place is in question. There were maggots on the floor against the wall behind counter. I did eat the food (smh in embarrassment) which was good, but I could not get the image out of my head. I am sure they can do better.
The food far exceeded my expectations for the price, as well as promptness!
Amazingly tasty food! Definitely check it out. The waitress was also very kind, she cared about our experience.
Good authentic food, reasonable prices, fast service.
Fresh delicious authentic Thai food in it's finest!!!
I went there for lunch, had the green curry, it was ok but the rice was not cooked well.
Tried the pad thai for pick up, even though I got a medium it was insanely spicy! Not sure if it was an accident or if it wasn't mixed in well or something, but it was like pure spice the first few bites. The quality of the beef was good though, and the flavors were on point.
I ordered take out from here and it was put together very quickly. The people were very friendly when I picked it up. The chive pancakes were not what we expected, they were soft and not crispy (it also said online an order would be 5 but we got 3). The pad thai was also not as good as we wanted it to be. The pad see ew I thought was decent and I appreciate that they payed attention to the spice level and didn't tone it down. It was overall okay.
Pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food tasted! We ordered take out from here on a whim and it did not disappoint! The food arrived hot, very well packaged (no spills), everything tasted great!! We had the green Thai curry and Drunken Noodles, absolutely delicious and happy with the portion size and meat to veg ratios. All the vegetables were really fresh, crunchy green beans and peppers. Definitely going to eat / order from here again. Finally a decent local Thai restaurant!
Food is good but be careful with their open hour. They won't open until 12:20-50pm
Food was good! I thought the Lychee tea was too sweet for my taste, but I just know better for next time 😊
Service was fast and friendly! You can watch them cook up your order fresh and hot. I got the Angry pork salad and it was plentiful with pork and deliciously spicy! Really looking forward to going back.
Best pad see ew noodles in philly
Ordered the drunken noodle and Tom yum soup and both were so delicious! Big portions, more affordable and better tasting than the other Thai restaurants in the area.
Their 'Drunken Noodles' dish makes me want to be a better person
Dirty place and won’t accommodate any side requests even if you’re willing to pay. There’s lots of options in Fishtown- I won’t be back. Good luck!
Really good place.
The green curry with tofu is exceptional. Nailing green curry is not easy, but they do nail it.
Excellent thai food and very kind owners. Happy to support small businesses like this.
Honestly I never post reviews but I had to make sure there was someone on here calling the person that gave this place one star an absolute loon. This place is consistently amazing, we’ve ordered here 10+ times and it’s always delicious. The wings are some of the best in the city and the drunken noodles are very tasty. Circles, really? 🙄
Edit- had to edit this because I got called out for talking out of my bum and calling the food authentic when I really don’t have enough experience with real Thai food to say that! But I still think the food is 5 stars. It’s delicious, the veggies are always fresh and the portions are large. Consistency is also very good. I keep coming back.
Best Thai food I’ve ever had in the city of Philadelphia. I got yakisoba, wings and spring rolls. Amazing.
This place is average, I don’t agree with the person who left the 1 star review, the food is ok. And for the other person who responded to the 1 star review I’m sorry to say that the drunken noodles is nowhere near authentic. (Circles is not great either) Philly just doesn’t have good Thai food in general, the best one is in Chang mai in conshocken. The people at sunrise is super friendly and I do wish them success but I had to leave an honest review
Order pinnacle fried rice and drunken noodles with Thai ice tea. And I would say it’s the best one I had in Philly hands down. Portion is really good as well as packaging. Will deff order again
A great addition to the neighborhood! Delicious Thai with great flavor and fresh ingredients.
I am disappointed. I was excited but this food was not good. I wish I had a different opinion. We ordered 5 different dishes—so lots of options. I was excited Thai opened near us too : : (
This was Nothing like Circle Thai where we always go. The only thing I liked was the pineapple rice and my husband liked one of the curries. It’s basically fast food Thai food that’s overpriced for fast food. I usually only leave positive reviews because I feel bad but had to share this one.
Ordered from here a few times, super inexpensive and amazing food. Some of the best spring rolls I’ve ever had and the pineapple fried rice is incredible.
Delicious food, very clean space. Friendly staff
I'll start off by saying I never leave reviews but this place was so good that it deserves a review. I ordered the green curry with tofu and it was seriously some of the best thai food I've ever had. I recently moved to Philly and before trying this place, I hadn't found anything close to the thai restaurant I would go to back home but this is seriously just as good as that restaurant. I also had it delivered to me through door dash and the food arrived hot. I will definitely order food from this restaurant again
Food was really good, fast, and well priced. I got the drunken noodles with chicken, medium spicy.
We tried Sunrise 2 for the first time and got drunken noodle and stir fried ground port with rice and fried egg. They are Delicious!! The portion is very generous and the staff is very friendly too. Highly recommended!
This is a new restaurant in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. I must say that we were VERY satisfied with our meal! The food was very tasty, the portions were large (we took enough home for another meal), the selection was great, and the service was both friendly and prompt. Don't be fooled by the lack of decor; go to enjoy the meal. We will be back!
Excellent service! Tasty and fresh. BIG portions. You will not be disappointed
Delicious! Got the fried tofu appetizer, drunken noodles and Angry Pork entree. The noodles were very mild while the Angry Pork had a little kick to it. Super yummy. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Great food. So happy that a Thai restaurant has opened up in the neighborhood. Pad Tai is awesome.
Fantastic food, great value. You can't go wrong with this spot!
Wow! We got turned away from another restaurant that was way too packed, and glad we did because we discovered this new gem in the neighborhood. Very friendly staff, great prices and the food was excellent! I had the Tom Yum soup with rice noodles, which I definitely recommend. Looking forward to going back, especially before they get “discovered” and we can’t get a table!
Great food! Had the drunken noodles and papaya salad. Super authentic with the classic touch of sweetness without being too sweet like other Thai places have been. Will definitely be back - so happy to have a decent Thai food restaurant in Fishtown now.
Food was amazing! So excited to have this new spot in the neighborhood :)
Super friendly staff. Delicious food! Even our toddler liked it! We loved it!
Solid pad Thai!
