Contemporary Thai eatery features rice & noodle dishes in a bright space with checkerboard floors.
I was very happy to find out there’s a local authentic Thai place around the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. As someone who loves Thai food and been there 5+ times, I’d say the food lives up to my expectations, ordered fried rice and it is the perfect temperature and flavor. Highly recommend this place. You won’t disappoint.
This place is absolutely incredible. The amount of quality this restaurant has is top tier. It's authentic and you can tell they truly put their heart into the cooking. I've always preferred to go to the smaller business's to eat. I will definitely come again!
We ordered: Drunken Noodles/Pad Sew Eew, Pad Cashew Nut, Thai Massaman Curry, Spring Rolls, and Crab Dumplings. Everything was delicious! The Cashew dish had the perfect hint of spice and the curry was so smooth.
Take out only with very good Thai food. Great flavors, spice, portions. A true “go to” for consistently good Thai food
I love this place. It’s a go too. Best Thai in manayunk. I switch up my order all the time cuz there’s a lot of amazing options. Panang curry pad see ew and evil jungle
Princess are all amazing. Also best crab rangoons.
I recommend calling ahead then picking up about 20 mins later. They make the food to order, it is fresh and tasty. We tried the chicken pad thai and tofu pad thai. Flavors were great so we will definitely will try more from their menu. Serving size was generous. Prices are fair. They are TAKE OUT only.
Very good Thai food and friendly service, with reasonable prices. Great neighborhood takeout spot!

THIS PLACE IS CARRY OUT ONLY
Good Food
Delicious Curry and Pad see ew!!!
Update: the Penang curry isn’t as good as it was the first time I ordered. It’s more watery and less flavorful.
The pad see ew is still amazing but the curry isn’t worth it. I’ll keep a 5 just for the pad see ew
The food was amazing. I love their drunken noodles 🍜. The young man who took my order was super nice! Good environment and good service
I have been coming here for years and the food has never disappointed me. Every get together I've hosted was catered by this place. I moved away from Philly last year and it's still the restaurant I miss the most.
Great Thai food. If you know you know

Food is great, but I have to take stars off because we found small fragments of what looked like drywall in all of our dishes.
Thai food gives me the shats!
Their Drunken Noodle is to die for.
Drunken noodles and curry here are so good and service is very fast
TEN STARS!!! First time ordering today, (10/29/23 at 7:30 pm) Ordered Pad Thai Entree, Hung Lay Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice Entree, we are impressed!!! The dishes are appetizing, flavorful and such a delight to eat. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
chicken dumplings are 🔥🔥🔥
The yellow curry was phenomenal! Looking forward to trying more.
It’s ok. A bit mushy noodles for the pad Thai and not very spicy red curry. Mom loves it. I’ve had better. 🤷♀️ The crispy spring rolls were good and it’s reasonably priced. Just temper your expectations.
Love their food - my favorite is evil jungle princess. They also have good portion sizes.
Service is slow because of the small operation. But it's worth it. One of my favorite Thai places in NW. Check it out, it's worth it I think
At best: bland and average; at worst: gross and I threw it out. Tried three dishes and an app.
The good: Food arrived quickly and hot, but was a terrible disappointment.
The bad: The panang curry chicken somehow had a ton of curry and little flavor, while all my chicken dishes tasted like 'boiled soup canned chicken'. Huge let down as some reviews describe this as a mom and pop traditional cooking place. :(
The ugly: The spring rolls tasted very bad and also were over dripping with oil inside. Threw those out.
Would be 3 stars for the very average dishes but the terrible rolls pushed it down.

I have wasted years of my life getting Thai from other places. The spicy bamboo shoot entree is shattering my word right now. Spicy is *actually* spicy, and it’s incredibly flavorful and cooked well. My face is on fire, and it hurts so good. 😍 The cherry on top? Delivery was super fast!
Always delicious and fast delivery through grub hub. I got the crab Rangoon and Evil Jungle Princess and they were both great.
Can’t speak for any delivery services, as I always physically pick up orders roughly 15-20 minutes after placing online. Ordering online is easy. The food is pretty tasty. Perfect takeout if you’re in the mood for some savory noodles!
The name of the place clearly states they’re a to-go aka takeout place. They don’t deliver except through third parties and anyone who had a bad delivery experience during the pandemic should really reconsider whether it’s helpful to drag the restaurant for something that they had no control over.
Worst Thai Food I've ever had. Watered down, no flavor, just not good. What a disappointment.
Ordered dinner, out of 5 items only one was edible. Fried Tofu was bland and tasteless. Fried wanting weren’t fried and were burst open. Curry sauce leaked all over the bag. Pad Thai was inedible. There was a bad taste and smell to it. I have eaten Thai food for 40 years and it’s one of my favorites normally. I have spent time in Thailand also. I will never order from here again!
I’m a Philly transport. I worked in Thai Food for 3 years and struggled to find a good Thai restaurant here. I ordered Pad Thai, which can be risky, but it was amazing. Perfect amount of Tamron sauce. Beef was full of flavor. Wasn’t too dry. I am so happy I finally have a Thai restaurant again!
What a surprise gem! The food was well priced and delicious. We were impressed with the drunken noodle, spicy beef salad and panang shrimp curry. Not so much by the Tom Kha gai. Will definitely order from them again!
I love this place. The food is consistently good. The mom and pop places always have the most authentic food. The spicy basil with chicken is so good. Omg!
I ordered to go via GrubHub. The delivery was a little on the longer side, which is to be expected. Nothing to do with the restaurant. I ordered pad Thai and red curry. Both were excellent! The pad Thai wasn't especially at all, so I added a little bit of chili pepper to it. But it had nice flavors of lemongrass and lime with lots of veggies and the tofu was cooked well. I look forward to ordering from this place again. It's way cheaper than other local spots and the quality is just as good.
Don't order through website. They don't deliver
This food is absolutely incredible and authentic. Best thai in the area by far. Quick and friendly service and they put out consistently good food.
We frequently order take out from here. Every time it's good, hot, and generous portions. Their wonton soup isn't your average wonton soup, loaded with veggies and delicious broth.
Green curry and pineapple fried rice are my go-to dishes. They are consistently amazing.
The most delicious and generously portioned Thai food out there. Authentic and really well made.
Very friendly people and they make their 🍗🍤 pad thai is the best in the area.
From Seattle and was really missing the awesome Thai food there. Phu Fha Thai hit the spot perfectly! I will definitely be ordering from them again soon!
Great local spot that does a few things really well. I’ve ordered the pad see ew at least 3 times and it’s really good. The spring rolls are my favorite thing on the menu hands down. So crispy and the ingredients go so well with the sauce provided. The pad Thai is underwhelming I’ll admit but the red curry is really yummy but just know a spice level of 4/5 there is super hot and I like spice.
I ordered via Grubhub and made a mistake on my address. Working with the Grubhub driver (who will receive praise separately) and staff at Phu Fha, we managed to still receive our food, which was still streaming hot, past the time in which the restaurant would be closed! Very grateful for their hard work and extra effort, I would have been very grumpy and hungry without them!
Best Thai curry I’ve had in Philly
2.5 at best. We got the pad thai with shrimp which was too sweet. They charged us 5 plus dollars extra for the shrimp as our meat option... and the dish came with 5 shrimps in total... that’s a dollar a shrimp. I didn’t even eat the Coconut Milk Soup (Tom Kha) with vegetable because it was watered down and the taste was off. Brutal but true. Would not recommend and would not order form here again.
I decided to try Thai food for the first time. This was the restaurant I choose. And I was not disappointed! Oh my gosh!! I tried the mango sticky rice and one of the glass noodle dishes (forgot the name) but jeez it was delicious!!!!!!! I can now see the hype on Thai food and can now say that I am hooked!!
Definitely recommend this place!
Wow!!! Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in the city. Large servings and great prices.Reminded my family of our time in Thailand. Very authentic!
Ordered delivery and waited for over two hours, but the food never came. Restaurant doesn't answer phone calls or respond to GrubHub customer service. I wouldn't recommend anyone order here, if you actually want to have dinner 🤷♀️
It’s so good! Usually get Thai food in center city at a few popular spots, but the pad Thai just knocked it out of the park. As spicy as you can handle, and delicious in every bite. Truly a gem. Don’t judge a book by its cover, I’ll be recommending this to everyone nearby.
Placed order through website restaurant does not exist. Avoid at all costs. How do I get my money back?
Very good food and friendly staff
This is specifically for their curry dishes. I’ve ordered from here twice now, and both times the curry had a very thin consistency, including a top layer of oil that I had to siphon to make the stuff edible. The chicken was cooked fine, but the veggies were on the overcooked side (and not typical for Thai curries). The actual sauce (panang) has no even slight hint of peanuts. There are better options nearby.
Just ordered veggie pad thai with crispy tofu and veggies and its SO GOOD! Nice portion too. Reuse the plastic container!! Perfect size. Overall awesome for take out. Great menu.
A nice place for take out.
We order from Phu Fha Thai fairly regularly and the food is always great. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the portions aren't huge.
Good food. Good portions. Horrible delivery with them every time.
I am not amazed by the food, it was rather too sweet for my taste.
Yummy, I love their curry anything!!
Love this place! Delicious every time, fast, great customer service!
Wasn't feeling too good after eating here.
Great food, excellent flavor to every dish I've tried. Nothing is too heavy or overly sweet. I wish they had a seating area!
Placed an order online at 5:45. They cancelled the order at 6 because they couldn't fulfill it. Lame.
Nice little to go spot. Very reasonable, good service, and good foods
Just okay
Very pleasantly surprised by this place! We just stumbled upon it. We eat a lot of Asian food and have traveled and lived in Asia so we mostly stick to to Chinatown but we think this place is absolutely better than other Thai spots we've tried all over the city. Nothing better than an Asian grandma doing all the cooking. Also, the family run vibe of it is nice. I asked if they could do a smaller portion of just noodles and chicken for my daughter with a kids menu price and they were happy to oblige (gave me a kids menu price but ended up being pretty much an adult portion!). Authentic, good portions, reasonable prices, nice people. My only confusion is that other reviews and the photos describe a sit down restaurant but this was very much a hole in the wall take out joint. So glad we found it!
Great Thai Togo spot. GrubHub delivers for them!
Awesome Pad Thai! Walked in and ordered Tofu Pad Thai.. it was ready in 10 min. and was perfect.
Food is very greasy. A good layer of grease can be seen at the bottom of the togo container.. even for just 2 spring rolls. Kinda gross.
Not a place for authentic Thai food...
Not recommended.
waste food
Good food.
Delicious Thai! Great quality, low prices, large portions, friendly staff, fast service
The food was good, but I asked for it very spicy and it had no spice in it at all.
Has great potential. The food is very good. Nicly spiced. Veggies are slightly overcooked for my taste but acceptable. We stood in the doorway waiting to be seated for 10 minutes. Fifteen minutes after being seated our order was taken. At this point we we're the only ones in the restaurant. Had to hunt the server down to pay. Fix up the service issues and they will have a great spot.
Out of their specialty ingrediants, but great service and delicious food.
One of the best hidden secrets in Phila for great Thai food... can't say enough about it, just go.
Worst experience ever! Food takes forever and it was over cooked.
AWEFUL
Would give zero if I could. I've never ordered from here before, but I Just got takeout from here and I found a baby cockroach in my dumplings order. I am so disgusted. They refunded me but I am obviously never ordering from here again.
The food here is really good! it can take some time for it to come out though so be patient, but expect yummy food!
Perfect little not hidden great Thai food. Very well seasoned, and some of the best tasting around.
So eating there is nothing special in terms of experience. I think they do way more take out business than sit down customers. Which is fine, especially when dishes like drunken noodles are magic. Food is great for the most part. Only thing is that meat is added to dishes as ordered. The food is intended to be vegetarian, so you can tell if you order something and say beef you chose feels like a third wheel. Excellent food overall.
Great Thai food. Quirky place, but definitely worth visiting. Also great for take-out.
I'm make delivery
Ive been a few times and each time was delicious. I love spicy and the place does not disappoint. Unlike some other Thai places in Philly, the portions are a very good size. The lunch specials are great deal, but even the dinner prices are very affordable. I love the curries I've had so far and the Drunken Noodles.
Love this place. Large portions and the food is consistently slammin'. The veggie pad see eew is my go to and I've yet to find a place that makes it better. FYI, if you choose the veggie option, they throw tofu in there with it. It's fantastic but might be an unwelcome surprise for some. I've asked them to leave it out before and they did it no problem.
If you are a PA native, you'll be impressed here. And it'll be good for you to get outside your comfort zone of pizza and hoagies.
I grew up in Roxborough and am happy the old neighborhood has this excellent Thai rest. If you like Thai salads, this is the place for you. They have several options. Great fried tofu app I don't think anyone can duplicate. Pad see u (sp) is also very good.
Great Thai restaurant and I lived in Thailand 10 years. Love the Khao Soi noodles, the Tod Mun fish cakes and the papaya salad. Nice service too:
Not impressed by a whole lot here. Food was ok but took a while to come out.
Very good food! Clearly a family business, grandma's cooking in the back. The Thai curry sauces are especially good. Also inexpensive, and definitely best in the area.
Very Impressed food was very good and every thing was fresh and tasted amazing! Will be ordering from here again soon! Used ubereats didn't dine in tho. Fried Tofu was good, green curry was outstanding, pad thai and drunken noodles also both excellent! Thai style wanton soup was also delicious, nothing bad to say! Why you still here ? Go get yourself some! =)
Best in the area for Thai, and well worth it.
Moderately speedy service and decent menu offerings. Probably better for takeout than sit down.
Not for VEGANS. I called to order and they refused to accommodate to my plant based diet- refused to eliminate and substitute which does not makes sense. I ordered pad thai- I asked to add tofu and remove eggs, they refused. I know there are vegan options so I wanted to ask to see their reply and they said no vegans options. I tried to suggest something and they shut me down. Unreasonable people.
Always a table to be found with good Thai food.
Food is awesome. Enjoy the traditional Thai cuisine every time I visit. Price is at its comfort zone.
Entrees are whats worth going for. Skip the appetizers especially the calamari.
Don't judge the place based on its look from the outside. The food is better than a take out place. If you like spicy, they'll make it as hot as you like.
Wait staff is super friendly.
Good value. Great classics.
Good food for a good price. Great for delivery or eat in (as long as you don't mind being the only one)
Very reasonable price. Food is good and comes out quickly. Everyone was very nice.
The food was excellent! It was delivered on time and nice and hot!
I got food from this place during the festival and the food was rancid. I can't believe the would knowingly sell bad food.
great food !!! amazing people - always great to go there
Always late. Always, always unbelievably late. Unjustifiably late. Called and told them it's almost two hours late and they're about to close, I won't order from them anymore. She said that's fine. Told driver I can't tip him because of how late it is. Young chinese guy says, "it's all good, man."
The order absolutely sucks. Tum yum soup is white. No thai taste, all bland chinese food. We ordered veggies Pad Sew eu. We got chicken. Can't complain about the free protein, but god these people suck. You people keep them in business, stop ordering from them.
Very good food, never lots of people. Reasonable prices.
Awesome Thai food, very spicy, and reasonably priced. Can't go wrong here.
Great Thai delivery. This place is great.
Not the best Thai food I have ever had. Much rather go to china town and go to Erawang or any where else. Have 2 bad service experiences with take out and dining in. No sense of urgency or consideration with the wait staff and now with ordering through Grub hub. The only Thai in Roxborough so I completely understand why they are busy but they should really get it together.
I love their pad Thai. Probably one of my favorites in Manayunk. The staff is very friendly as well.
Drunkin Noodle tasted great but very spicy! Nice BYOB place will definitely be returning!
I've eaten here three times in the last couple years. Every meal has been a pleasurable event. The food is fresh, delicious and attractively presented. Service is OK, but sometimes distracted: the family has a young child who wanders in at times; when they disappear they may be tending to him. But it's kinda fun to experience the whole family in this.
Whenever we come, generally on a Friday, it's been practically empty. I worry that they will have to sell.
