i've gotten food here a couple times and it's SO good, some of the best thai food i've had. i got their pad thai both times and it's amazing, it's super garlicky and peanut-y and the fried tofu is so crispy even after i microwaved it. the place is tiny and i was greeted so warmly by the staff! i'm so glad to have a place like this in my neighborhood
I used to LOVE circles Thai. The first time they forgot the protein (tofu), fine. $2 refund whatever. But the second time when I give you the benefit of the doubt and order again? After years of ordering from you? This meal is worthless. A big bowl of greasy rice. I took off another star because when I called, it WAS on them, it was not a tech glitch and they didn’t offer any way to fix it. They will “talk to the chef.” I live three blocks away, could have delivered some stupid tofu. Shame, I loved this place for years. Throwing out the grease bowl. Disappointed above and beyond.
Sunday night munchies hit us, my partner and I were in the mood for Pad Thai. We scrolled through Doordash and saw this one boasting 1600+ reviews and a 4 star rating-- so we decided to go safe and choose this restaurant.
Not long after placing our order, we realized that we forgot to ask for utensils (I am in the middle of moving- so I had none). So I called the place up only to be told that the order has already been picked up and on its way to us. To our pleasant surprise, they not only included plastic forks but also napkins and chopsticks!
Food was plentiful. We ordered two appetizers, Summer Rolls and Fried Calamari, two entrees, Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mow, and two cans of la Croix. The taste is nothing to write home about, very typical. Although the Summer Rolls came in three, I guess we forgot to select a protein so it tasted bland and monotone with the salty peanut sauce. For what it is, it's okay, and the fact that our order arrived so quickly with nothing missing adds an extra star from me!
Criminally underrated Thai. I ordered delivery from Circles a few nights ago and I am still thinking about how delicious the red curry was. The sauce was exquisitely balanced, the vegetables were masterfully cooked, the Thai basil was flavorful, and the chicken was the MOST tender I have ever had in a curry. I seriously don't know how they did it. The calamari and duck were great too, but really the red curry was the star of the show. 5 stars on flavor and ingredient quality, delivery time was quick, order was accurate, and the price was right.
From the look of the negative reviews, it sounds like Circles has been made a victim of their own excellence. I'm guessing their staff may have been a bit overwhelmed by demand and the shift to a large volume of remote ordering during the pandemic.
I love circles! Every time I've ordered, everything has tasted fresh and delicious. I'm surprised it's rating is below 4 stars. It's my favorite Thai place in the area.

Food is nothing like it used to be. Terrible flavor, over salted and lazily prepared. The wontons aren’t even folded properly.
Do yourself a favor and go to the Fairmount location where the original owners are.
Called because we got the wrong order and one of our entrees was missing. Instead of helping us problem solve, the woman that answered the phone said she was going to “curse me out” and hung up. Great job guys!
live nearby for 4.5 years, best thai ever
"Thai hot" was mild actually. Its food and thats all you can say about it.
I love circles! Every time I've ordered, everything has tasted fresh and delicious. I'm surprised it's rating is below 4 stars. It's my favorite Thai place in the area.
the restaurant confirms that the order is ready, I arrive for delivery and you just start cooking
Excellent Thai takeout in Point Breeze.
Their Thai Rice Soup heals my soul whenever I'm sick: broth, garlic, and rice.

The food is good, the service is great and they have a consistent quality, different spice levels and lots of flavors !
I love Circles! I have been a customer for years since they opened and really cannot eat Thai from any other place in the city. The Pad Kee Mow and Pad Thai are my favorite noodle dishes. I am also a fan of the massaman curry, coconut milk soup, and thai beef salad. I really love the sticky rice in the summer - the mangoes are almost always perfectly ripe.
Not sure what kind of service this place used to have to give it a 3.9, but it's definitely amazing now. The staff is very nice and outgoing, and I got my food within 10 minutes. I got the pumpkin curry and it's amazing!! Definitely recommend.
Some of the best Thai food in south Philly!!! I love this place! Everything is always so fresh, flavorful and fast. The Thai iced coffee hits every time and I recommend the lemon grass soup
😤
Genuinely good Thai food. Problem is they are poorly run. Orders are NEVER ready in the time quotes. You show up and they stay it’ll be another 20-30 minutes. This is every time. Food is good but I would stay away. It’s really sad how bad the service is
Always kind and quick!
I would give them five stars but the crab vanished from the crab fried rice. It used to be FULL of carb and now I have to search for it. Very sad about that :( If the crab prices go up then maybe the price should go up for the dish as there is no point in keeping the same price but removing all of the crab :((
This is my favorite thai spot in the city. We order take out from here at least once a month because we can't find a better bowl of red curry anywhere. It's just a take out window so most orders come in through the apps. If it's a busy night (cold, rainy, weekends) -- be patient. This place turns out a LOT of orders but my food is always steaming hot and delicious.
Love the curry crab ragoon omg delicious 😋
We love Circles Thai South Philly! The Crab Rangoons, Pumpkin Curry, and Pad Thai are some of our absolute favorites. Always friendly. Always delicious. Large portions make it a very affordable option.
I love the food here, and it is consistently good. However, I received the wrong order! The slip had my name on it but all the wrong food. Is this an ordering system issue?? Very disappointing.
Edit for their response: that is a crazy coincidence! Unfortunately, I did not receive a corrected order. I hope the other Juliana S. did!
Love this place
Great easy Thai takeout. We’ve tried a variety of options here and they’re all good, my favorite is the pad thai.
Stopped in and ordered pad Thai. I normally don’t leave reviews but this was the best pad Thai I ever had. I got medium spice and there was a lot of chicken in it!
Wow so I had the General Thai Chicken with brown rice which was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to try other items on the menu.
They need to fire the little boy in front. He act like he’s too cool to work there.
Portions are VERY small relative to the price. Food is good tho..
I'm always excited when brown rice is an option on a rice centered menu, so I ordered the brown rice with my curry and it was beautiful 2 toned rice, perfectly cooked and made the meal extra delicious.
No parking, the food always late
the massaman curry with roti cured my bpd and made me feel happy for the first time in a week
This place is consistently delicious. The crab rangoons are curried and I can’t get enough of them and the spicy orange sauce they come with. I often get 2 orders. And the big thick pieces of real pork tenderloin that come with the ramen are SO GOOD. HIGH QUALITY MEAT. Such a great value and so tasty. Generals Thai Chicken is spicy if you want and with pineapple. I love sweet and spicy. Its also always hot and fresh when it arrives regardless of who delivers it. This place makes truly great take out food.
Basil fried rice with tofu was really good. Great portions as well. Was enough for dinner and next day lunch . The spring rolls were as expected. I would definitely order from them again. Great for a plant based/vegan option.
I felt sick after eating their. Tastes like dog food
The food tasted fine but I got food poisoning, it was the absolute sickest I ever got. I am sure it isn’t always that way but I am afraid to try it again.
Like another reviewer said- criminally underrated! My go to for Tofu Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. The curries are a hit too. I always make sure I get some cheesesteak spring rolls on the side (highly recommended). I usually get take out because it’s in the neighborhood. They are super sweet people- and they definitely seem to get busy from the delivery orders- just a heads up with that!
Took 1.5 hours for an order of pad Thai for take out
ordered the pad thai, papaya salad, and mango sticky rice and ALL were amazing. highly recommend the pad thai and papaya salad.
Sweetest people and delicious Thai food!!
Really really good
Very consistent thai take-out
Amazing pineapple fried rice and the pad Thai is really good too!
I usually get the Pad See Ew but I ordered the Amazing Stir Fry and it was full of big carrots, full leaves is cabbage and a couple of pieces of broccoli. Where are all the other vegetables?? It was so hard to eat and so messy. I’m very disappointed. Also the girl taking my order gave the delivery man the wrong address and our food was late (which is dumb because we order there all the time and she read my address to me since it’s in their computer) Ugh
Very nice popple and foud castmre service
Best crab Rangoon I’ve ever had. And the spicy pork ramen is life.
Absolutely delicious. I ordered their general Thai chicken and let me tell you it was the best thing I’ve eaten since I was born. I took a bite of the nice crispy succulent chicken and I swear I saw god. Highly recommend
Amazing food!! I had the Pad Thai and Coconut Milk Soup. Both were so delicious. Will definitely going back there for more food soon.
If I can give this place a zero I would. The food is sub par at best but tonight I ordered and they told me 45 minutes. After 1.2 hours I called back. They told me that the food was on the way. THEN they called and said they can’t deliver to me. After 1.5 hours. They took my credit card number without even confirming they can deliver to me? Save yourself the hassle and go to somewhere reputable.
Eat here at your own risk! My husband and I experienced classic food poisoning (vomiting and diarrhea) last night after eating the seafood pad thai. Him to a lesser extent than I since he shared a small portion of my dish.
I have eaten pad thai all over the country, and theirs is one of the best. They are incredibly fast and the quality is never compromised. Our favorite appetizers are the tofu corn fritters and the cheesesteak eggrolls. Don’t be afraid to try something with at the “Thai Spicy” level. We recommend also the General Thai Chicken! Thanks Circles. Truly a neighborhood gem.
Ordered food through Uber eats. Ordered vegetarian pad Thai and vegetarian pineapple curry. Not only the food was cold but it may have been the most unauthentic Thai food I ever tasted. Also the quantity was small for pad Thai. And the only thing the added in pineapple curry was bell peppers and pineapple. Also I’m sure they added fish sauce or some shrimp paste in the pad Thai when I explicitly told that the food should be vegetarian. I will never order food from there again and I strongly advise any vegetarians who read this review to do the same.
I’ve eaten In Thailand and this exceeds expectation for Thai food in America. Pad Thai, Coconut Soup are flavorful. I’d definitely recommend.
Worst curry I’ve ever had. Way too liquidy, veggies barely looked cooked and the pork was cardboard. Could’ve made the meal better myself.
my go to place for pad Thai. I wouldn't usually order tofu as the protein but they do it right.
Their curries are incredibly flavorful and rich and stand out from other mediocre, watered-down curries I have tried in the past. They tend to be quite spicy, but I happen to enjoy that, so you just have to know what you are in for. I appreciate that they don't skimp on the vegetables and there is a good ratio of protein to greens. I have had the pineapple fried rice as well as the green and massaman curries and all have been excellent.
A bit too spicey
Tasty food. Love the crab fried rice and cheesesteak roll. Pad thai delicious. Really convenient just around the corner.
Truly delicious. We ordered three different kinds of curries and the flavor was spectacular. While they tasted great, there was not much to them. There was a lot of sauce but not a lot of substance to the dishes. This the first time I ordered curry so not sure whether that is the way it's served. The one food that didn't come out great was the mango rice. It was a large clump of rice that was difficult to break apart, with a small amount of cream on top, and large slices of mango. I'm not sure how it was supposed be but it was difficult to mix up and eat. That said the mango was ripe and the rice tasted good.
Food is good but so overly price with such small portion. Shrimp pad thai cost like $17 and can be finished within five bites. Ridiculously high priced for such small portion.
Never disappointed
Food very good
Delicious food, just a little pricey.
Awesome!
My favorite take out!!! I order from them a ridiculous amount. Always consistent and SO DELICIOUS!!!
It's a take out delivery place . But they do have seating across the street .
Criminally underrated Thai. I ordered delivery from Circles a few nights ago and I am still thinking about how delicious the red curry was. Something is wrong with their ordering system. It seems like they are taking too many orders and delivery drivers are refusing to pick up the food because they have to wait so long. The food is so good but by the time it gets here it's cold.
First time i try this.
Nice food.
Pad thai good and i really like it.
I don’t really have an issue with this place. It’s good and authentic, however every time I order a Thai iced tea they make sure to put so much ice inside my cup that I barely receive any iced tea. I wish they would stop over icing the cup because it’s skimping me out of what I actually payed for. If they continue they will be doing a refund for that product through Uber eats each time now lol
Very friendly, great food
Really good. Great Spicy level

Great food! General tai chicken mild is the best and it’s real chicken!!!
This place used to be great - Very small portions for the price.
Anyone leaving bad reviews is braindead, I try something new here every time and its always amazing. Oh boo hoo the delivery took a long time? go pick it up yourself you lazy mutt dont leave a negative review
Delivery Driver hell! They will overtake orders and ignore you unless it's completely empty. Saw them tell one person their wait would be 3 to 20 minutes. They do not value your time.
Great service and food of you are a regular customer though, so that gets 2 stars at least.
Best Thai food in the HOOD!
Tiny corner store gem. What a find. The food is delicious. Authentic Thia food in the hood. Fantastic!!!!
***BEWARE IF YOU ARE ORDERING ONLINE***
Google links to a scam website (places.singleplatform.com). It links to a "service" called bringmethat. Bringmethat takes your order, has you pay, and then they call the restaurant with your order without paying the restaurant. So, when you go to pickup, you have to pay again. Apparently bringmethat refunds you minus some service fee. It's ridiculous that Google would link to bringmethat, as a quick search reveals that numerous other people have fallen for this scam. If you go through Circles Thai's own website, there is a way to order legitimately.
I'm giving 5 stars, however, because the restaurant itself was very understanding and helped me out with my order. I just feel bad that they got shorted in this exchange.
Yall! We didn't get our food! Tried to pay for delivery. Still wouldn't being it to us even tho we've gotten delivery before.
I normally love this place but I ordered a few items and picked up. Part of the order was missing and the woman I talked to on the phone offered me delivery but then refused it and asked me to come pick it up. After explaining to her that I had ordered delivery to this address multiple times she said it was too far and then hung up on me. I am very disappointed in the service provided and the food was no where near the quality it normally is. Very sad to have to find a new Thai restaurant.
If I could leave a 0 I would. I would NOT recommend this place. The food is normally okay but the customer survive is horrible. My friend ordered food from this location and drove 40 minutes round trip to pick it up. They gave us the order with part of it missing. Once we realized and called to ask for the food to be delivered, they refused to deliver the food despite the location being WITHIN their delivery radius on their website, despite our willingness to pay a delivery fee and tip the driver. When we tried to explain that it does not make sense for us to drive all the way back for 40 minutes to pick it up the hostess hung up the phone in my face mid sentence.
normally love this place but we drove 20 minutes to pick up food and they forgot part of our order. mistakes happen but we asked if they would deliver it and they told us it was too far. we have ordered delivery to this address before and they still refused. this used to be my favorite thai place but my friends and i will now be looking elsewhere.
The tom kha gai is absolutely amazing here and normally I'd give it 5+ stars but I recently ordered from here and was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered 2 orders of shrimp only tom kha gai. They put what was obviously 1 order in a larger container and charged for 2. Additionally, it was chicken tom kha gai even though we very clearly ordered shrimp. When we picked it up and confronted them about it, they offered to give another "shrimp only" soup to "fix" their mistake but after taking it home and opening it, was yet again only chicken. Horrible customer service. Will not be ordering from here again.
I love Circles Thai! Delicious quick bite for lunch and inexpensive for a lot of food.
Hands down the best Thai food I've had in years. Will definitely be going back soon!
Just okay
I tried Drunken Noodles, it was really tasty way more than I would expect, with the right amount of spicy hot I requested, the service is so nice. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Forgot to include part of my order. My food was cold, but other parts of the order were hot, so it seemed like they just didn’t bother to cook my food properly. Edamame dumplings are bland and inedible. It’s just an unseasoned edamame paste inside a dumpling, pretty gross. Soup was fine. Curry was watered down and runny. Overall a terrible experience and look somewhere else for Thai food.
Good food! I'll order again. A little on the pricey side for the amount of food, but quality and flavor is good. Five stars when you stop with all the styrofoam. It's not recycled in Philly and horrible for the environment. A lot of restaurants switching to paper. Make the switch! Dump the styrofoam.
Had some shrimp fried rice it was unique there were tomatoes in it it was salty
Great service very hospitable. South Philly's BIG SECRET right off 15th and Tasker St
I ordered pad kaprow stir fried veggies with pork. It tasted fine but didn’t come with rice. Maybe I’m wrong to assume any stir fry or curry should automatically come with white rice?
Easy to order and the food is great
I use to love this place. The food is still good but aren't clean. The black sheet is up because no one the kitchen is wearing a mask. I was able to see that when a worker lifted it up quickly. The cashier put on a mask when I came in. I dealt with it because it was minimal talking happening in the kitchen. So hopefully no one was talking over my food. Now the reason this will be my last time here is because the cashier did not wash her hands in between looking up my order on the computer and grabbing my rolls out the freeze with her hands(no gloves). During this time I expect restaurants to provide a higher quality of sanitation. Im so sad this happened.
Amazing food, they can totally spice it the heck up for you too which rocks. Ate until I no longer felt well 10/10
My go-to thai restaurant. Big portion sizes, consistently delicious food, and great vegan options- you can add tofu and seitan to most dishes. Highly recommend!
I love everything I’ve had from here. My main spot since I moved to this neighborhood. Highly recommend the General Thai Chicken, (I sub tofu), and the absolutely delicious Thai Donuts.
Beware! These people are using the pandemic to scam you. They advised because of COVID, I had to provide my card number via phone because they weren’t taking card or cash in store. Something felt off about giving them my information over the phone. I picked up my food, it was good. However, literally 2 days later my bank alerted me that there has been 5 transactions attempted that I did not place. Thank God my bank denied them due to suspicion. Please take heed to this warning.
It's a take out place, but right across the street that have seating.
We order delivery from Circles at least every other weekend. It is our go-to Thai food restaurant and never disappoints. Our favorites include the Pad Woonsen and any of the curries (especially the pineapple).
Just what I was expecting. Not mind blowing or anything. Just pretty good thai food. Their peanut sauce is nice, the spring rolls crunchy and the veggies fresh.
Coconut soup is my favorite Thai order!
The woosen was delicious and their papaya salad is super tasty even as leftovers.
Customer service is polite and knowledgeable on what food is a good choice and fast delivery. Love it!
Pad Thai medium spicy was so spicy I could not eat it. Fresh rolls were mediocre, only ate all three since I couldn’t eat the pad Thai with my tastebuds intact. Do not recommend either items.
Incredible food. Soup, entree, dessert all on point. Definitely going back and recommending to others. 👍
Some of the best Thai food in Philly!! 😋
Got the Pad Keep Mao from here, the dish was pretty good and the noodles have a nice kick to them. Portions were nice (you can easily make 2 meals out of it). There was a good amount of meat and veggies. I've had better drunken noodles, but these are definitely better than average and well worth a try!
110% me and my boyfriend's favorite place to order from! Everything is made right on point everytime👏🏼
It a must try
Got the veggie dumplings and seitan satay. I had to throw away the dumplings, horrible. The seitan quality was ok but still left much to be desired. Overall, I felt it was a waste of $17 and would not go here again.
Me and my spouse had really bad stomachaches after eating the basil fried rice. But I'm not gonna lie tho, the basil fried rice tastes really good !
The last 20 years have I have been trying Thai restaurants. In my opinion this is average.
I enjoy their food quite often.
Terrible service, over priced food, went in to grab my take out and employees were cursing and making inappropriate jokes and the place just looks run down and unsanitary.
Amazing food and servings are nice size
Good takeout/ delivery
My food had hair and bugs in them. One was in the sauce that came with the vegetable dumpling and the other was on it
Delivery took over 80 minutes and my chicken pad Thai had literally no chicken in it. Additionally the pad Thai was flavorless.
