Pan-Asian eatery offering Chinese, Southeast Asian & fusion dishes in an atmospheric space.
Overall, a decent spot for Asian cuisine in a beautiful restaurant. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming to us and we always have a great experience. The food is average and is not as flavorful as I generally prefer for my Asian cuisine but portion sizes are good for the price. My go-to is the Chicken Lettuce Wrap, which can be an entire meal by itself!

The restaurant waiters are nice and the food was delicious. The issue is the portions are a bit small, the steamed soup pork dumplings should be a bit bigger for me to have a full belly. Overall though, the meal was pretty good. Also, when we forgot our credit card at the table, the waiter returned it to us. It was kind of him.
Came here on Wednesday night so we got to enjoy some live music during our dinner! Ambiance is beautiful. The restaurant is actually very spacious inside. Loved everything from the soup dumplings to crispy duck. Ended the mean with some matcha ice cream. They even have a lot of veggie options. Their cocktails and menu are very creative - have a look at the pics! Please support your local businesses!
I thought the presentation was great, and so was the service. I did feel that my chicken Pad Thai was on the spicy side. I don't recall seeing it written about the spiciness.
The food here is basically good, however I would recommend a few suggestions. First, the cook uses a bit too much oil. I had specifically stated I wanted very little oil. Secondly, the reason I want less oil is that, as most Asian restaurants, they use seed oils that are harmful to the body. I would suggest giving patrons the choice of having their food cooked in avocado oil. (You can charge $1 more and many people who are aware and concerned with their health would certainly pay additionally for a healthy oil.)
We went for lunch. Their specials are very good.

It's ok restaurant but you can't force people to leave tip as you wish, I always leave 15% or more but to make me to leave more it's a crime!
Great food, big servings and great service.

The food has gone downhill over the last year. The sushi is “ok.” The wine is undrinkable. The scallion pancake was perfectly cooked with absolutely NO FLAVOR! Vegetable dumplings ok but bad dipping sauce. Same sauce as for their dishes. The sauce was too thick, too gloppy and too much was poured into the sesame chicken plate. Ruined the well cooked chicken. The sauce was way too sweet and watery and too much of it was on the chicken in crispy spinach plate. The sauce was way too salty and way too much was poured over the plank steak with bok choy and basil and the basil was sour. They used to try to make a dish pretty, but no longer. Comes like a glob of food poured from the pan into the dish. Friends were also there who said the chicken satay sauce was inedible and that the mango shrimp were overcooked. Can’t recommend this place in Great Neck anymore. Too bad cause the place is big and looks ok. Few customers. They need a chef who knows his stuff how to make delicate sauces.
Wild ginger has become one if my go to spots. Always great food and great prices… got a bento box, with salad, 2pcs shumai, 3 pcs California roll, spring roll, and two pcs of teriyaki salmon with white rice for $18…. Unbeatable price for great quality food.

Came here because moonstone was closed honestly regret it . When I walked in the doors have this cool ascetic bar was empty so I sat there . Disappointed the drink I ordered a tokoyo margarita wasn’t good at all maybe it was the yuzu juice I wasn’t familiar with the flavor but 3/10 drink .. the sesame chicken was more crunchy then my liking just wasn’t very good the rice didn’t make the meal any better . I thought I would be coming back here more after my first initial visit but never again . I don’t believe them higher rated reviews at all. It’s so disappointing I’m getting pizza after 😂
The food was good a different experience of a different restaurant that everybody should try a service was reasonable the staff was pleasant
Waiters were nice, staff was accommodating. But the food was disgusting. There was no flavor in any of the Thai dishes, how does a restaurant mess up fried rice? The sushi rolls had plain pieces of fish on top, no flavor. This was not a good experience. We felt sick afterwards. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, they need to fire the chef.
Great meal, felt a little pressure to leave as the kitchen closed at 9:30. Staff was waiting for us to leave a little bit.
Food was excellent nice fresh fish and well done rolls.
A good Asian deal with thoughtful wait staff and moderately priced tasty food. My favorite dish, tuna on soba noodles, was excellent, albeit one of the most expensive items. Nevertheless, I recommend it highly. Worth a casual visit.
Bad! Bad! Bad! The cook has no clue how to cook. The food is either over cooked and dry like my salmon, or not cooked enough like my wife's red snapper.
Do yourself a favor and stay away.
Shrimp w broccoli. Flavor outstanding. 1 more shrimp wanted.
Best vegetable lo mein hands down! So so good.
I came here with friends, I got the Curry chicken and we all ordered a bunch of appetizers together. Prices were Fair the service was great and overall nice ambience too.Everything tasted good and wasn't heavy. Would come back again!
Great food and drinks .
I ordered the Prawn curry and the sauce was definitely. I really enjoyed my meal. …
This place has no business selling food. We ordered 5 items and everything was pathetically bad. Sesame chicken- had no sesames and was just splattered with some really bad sauce. Thai spring rolls were supposed to have four in the package as per the menu. We received three and they were all equally disgusting. I don’t know what was in the middle, but it certainly was not any type of vegetable. SINGAPORE noodles, which is a dish that I am pretty familiar with because I always order. It had absolutely no flavor. Did not have the right spice on it and the chicken was absolutely from a can. Advise is to stay far away from this restaurant you are right near flushing little neck lots of great Chinese options. Why would anybody even bother to go in here.
food was pretty bad.. no flavor and everything was frozen and fried smh. ok service even though they begged for a tip at the end.. which was crazy to me after i already left a nice one. the drinks were too strong and not really flavorful. i will never eat here again.
One of my favorite restaurants.
Cozy ambience..Everybody’s so friendly and the food is phenomenal.I went there a couple of times a month and You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.there’s a reason we keep coming back.
Highly recommend!
Great food and atmosphere. A bit pricey, but worth it.
I ordered Chicken sambal, chicken with peppercorn sauce and Lo Mein noodles. I asked for less oil and more sauce. The food was absolutely awful with no flavor and greasy. I called the restaurant to tell them and they just told me that I should order more sauce next time. I explained that the dishes had a lot of sauce however the flavor was so bland and terrible. I have ordered from there many times before and the food was always much tastier. I won't go back!

Food is disgusting
I came to Wild Ginger with a girlfriend who lives in the area for lunch. I didn't know they did lunch specials and I was pleasantly surprised that they had them. I got the sesame chicken lunch special with the dumplings appetizer that came with it. The service was quick and the restaurant was fairly quiet because it was a Tuesday afternoon. I'm always pleased with the wild gingers I have gone to.
Asian fusion, I used to order lunch often from here. Ordered general two's chicken with brown rice to go. It was ready in 10 minutes.
We have been coming here for 12 years now.
Never disappoints!
I went here to grab lunch with friends and it’s definitely a nice place. Easy parking in the plaza and they have really good prices lunch specials. I got the pad Thai with chicken - it was delicious. The waitress was very sweet and didn’t push us to leave when we finished our food. Overall I’d definitely come again.
Roaches, Roaches, & more Roaches. Luckily we spotted several before our order came out. We wound up leaving. Place needs to be shut down. So disgusting. Health officials need to close this place down.
Food was average, nothing great ,everything was fried fried fried...
Wine they charge a good price but give you in a small liquor glass, when asked for a bigger glass, the response was owner dosent want to buy wine glasses....if you go for a fancy dining & pay a decent price you expect a decent glass for a wine ,not in a sherry glass......overall its a standard run of the mill food, attitude and service.....
Would not like to go back soon....
The Wok Ginger Shrimps is so good! Extra large shrimps taste fresh and that’s surprisingly good with the source. (Compared to most restaurants only serving frozen shrimps that’s tasteless.) My parents only like cantonese cuisine and they actually like the food here. That’s rare. We ordered lettuce wraps, avocado salad, crispy duck and sushi rolls. Good food and generous portions.
Server was very friendly and professional. Food was delicious.
Literally found a roach in our cup when we ordered canned cokes.
Felt so sick and upset so we asked for the manager but the owner came. Not a single apology and he just kept trying to take our cup away. During the midst of all this, our entree arrived and we didn't want to eat it obviously. The owner’s response to that: "do what you gotta do." So I’ll do what I gotta do and at least warn others before they think about eating here.
I had a delightful experience at Wild Ginger in Great Neck, NY, on a Thursday evening. Reuniting with a friend, we began with a glass of white zinfandel before savoring the honey back ribs. Wok-grilled garlic shrimp with brown rice was my main course. My friend opted for the sliced flank steak basil with white rice. The portions were generous, prompting us to share. Our dessert, tiramisu, was a perfect ending. Our attentive waitress, Jenny, catered to our every need, and the bill for this wonderful meal amounted to around $100. This exceptional experience leaves us eager to return for more.
The restaurant’s ambiance is perfect for catching up with friends or celebrating special occasions. I highly recommend Wild Ginger for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere.
Don’t worry about parking: ample parking spaces are right in front of the restaurant.
We ordered to go
1) tofu with mango sauce . It was too sweet the sauce . The Taste is sweet only.
2)Singaporean rice noodle with vegetable .
No green leaves, they gave onion, carrot and 3 string bean with 3 small pieces broccoli z
I do not recommend this asia fusion .
Food is fabulous. We order food frequently. Daughter introduced us. Going back,
Everything was just great 👍🏼 yummy food great portions and friendly helpful staff beautiful restaurant I will go back!
To many bugs around food
Food was not too hot
Roast pork fried rice smelled like fish
Too expensive
Absolutely the next restaurant to close in gn. Everything was bad even the drinks. They just don't care anymore. You can tell when a restaurant is on cruze. Sorry wanted to like it 😋
This restaurant gave me lots of surprises!
My friends who live in Flushing, Queens take their family here every week and they brought me here last night during my NYC trip. Great Asian fusion, a bit of each cuisine and not the typical Chinese food that might be too greasy and too salty for some non-Chinese Asians. The Peking duck is a must try. We were a group of 11 people, so we ordered a lot of things from red Thai curry to Thai fried rice to stirred noodle to deep fried crab, everything was great and the portions were very generous (we had 3 to go boxes). We did not drink or have dessert so I am not commenting on that. The decoration is good.
It could be a bit pricey for some (I did not pay but my friend said it was on the affordable side locally). The women’s washroom ran out of toilet paper. Staff was extremely polite.
The food is great but the service is awful. The waiters basically forgot we existed after seating us and giving us water. We had to get up and find them each time we needed something, whether it was water, napkins, or the check.
All great things to say. Food is amazing. Love them. My daughter loves their pan friend dumplings and their lo men. Their Thai pineapple fried rice is great as well. Service is also wonderful. Next time I will take pictures.
The lunch salads are perfect. They are consistently prepared well.
Service is just non existent in this place. Not friendly and slow as hell. When you ask to move things along, they just drop off the food and run.
Been here a couple times now, tried many of the dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed.
Had a holiday lunch here with a couple of my friends last Friday. We enjoyed the food, paid the check and then a ROACH crawled across our table. We were beside ourselves. I will NEVER eat here again. If a restaurant cannot maintain their hygiene it is not worth eating at. Sick making!!!!
Consistently good fresh food, generous portions and knock out drinks. We always come there with families as they have spacious dining room with large comfortable tables. And when there is a music night, its an added bonus. Warm salmon salad is one of my favorites, together with tuna pizza
I ordered thru Grubhub and I found a bug inside my vegetable fried rice. Very disappointed!!!
Their food is not authentic. Everything is so sweet. Just ok.
Had delicious meals here and the service was great as well. I got some sushi rolls and my husband got general tso chicken with white rice and the most perfectly cooked green beans I've ever tasted. So so good. Can't wait to come back!
Great service , very pleasant staff , amazing food !!
Great service , excellent food!
This restaurant is great! Tonight was my second time dining here. The food is so delicious. The waitstaff Is personable, professional, and accommodating. I'm vegan and there are so many choices. Non-vegans have a ton to choose from. It is not an expensive restaurant although it tastes like it should be. I can't wait to go back and highly recommend that you go.
I didn't expect the food and dirty table plastic cloths about the same . They change owner ?
Food is delicious. General Tso's Bento box is my favorite. You get a lot of food for a good price.
So I tried this location today for lunch . The food was good . I didn't like the fact that linens looked dingy . The raw bar menu on the table was full of grease from ppl fingerprints. I wish I had taken my food to go . The floor also could use some refinishing. Maybe they should opt for glass tables . The one in Rockville is way cleaner and a much better experience .
Best Asian fusion in Great Neck
My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal—we kept saying it was the best meal we’ve had in awhile! The sesame chicken was the best we’ve ever had, and the Philadelphia & Great Neck roll were super fresh and soft. Nice job Wild Ginger!
Ordered take out, the food was hot and tasty. Service was good.
Several dishes stand out compared to other Thai places I've been to - the seafood bowl and duck selections are excellent. They also have sushi. Atmosphere - five stars, level of noise - minimal, privacy - yes. Ability to hear each other - five stars. Staff attentiveness - five as well. I've been there several times and will be back again.
Convenient
Great local Asian fusion
Great restaurant. Lovely people. Amazing service. Sushi good. I really enjoyed my time here at Wild Ginger in Great Neck, Long Island. It was splendid. The food however was my least favorite thing, I got something sweet, which was on me. The sushi however was good.
There’s a huge parking lot available and the restaurant is pretty nice in the inside. I had a good time.
Well, this is not an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant. They advertise Hong Kong style dim sum, but in reality it is frozen microwave dim sum, and it is the cheapest frozen dim sum. Please see the difference in the poster and the actual Siumai. My salmon has a thick layer of salty sauce on it, and that's just wrong. If you don't know what authentic Hong Kong food are, then it is just a bad restaurant. But now it is a bad restaurant pretending to be something else. Will avoid after.
Listen ive been coming to wild ginger for about 3 years now. The location at Rockville center is much better . If i cant get there I go to the one in great neck which is much different. I ordered sesame chicken and beef lo mein. I was eating my lunch in my car and came across a bandaid n I discovered it whilst eating the chicken . I was not going to post anything but im still nauseous just thinking about that i might have ate some one elses blood. Ive realized that day when comjng in the restaurant my throat felt itchy and i kept coughing a lot as if i couldnt breathe . This place smelt of mold as well. When i confronted the cashier that said their is no manager managing the restaurant and they dont have a manager she only gave me half of my money back and offered me free food . I wanted all my money back . I threw up when i got home . She didnt give me all my money until i told her i was going to report this . Anyway worst experience at a restaurant ever . Worse then fast food . I wont eating out for a very long time after this .
They have many choices and the food is well made. I definitely recommend the shrimp shumai.
The service is great, I love the staff, food is delicious, am addicted to this restaurant
Staff members are friendly, attentive and helpful...especially the Asian lady at the cash in the front. Food is excellent. I often order the spicy tuna roll but the large succulent ribs are definitely delicious and so is the shrimp salad, the pad thai and everything else. Parking is super easy.
Love it!
We all shared the sushi rolls and they were very good. Picked a few of the good appetizers also.
Nice place good food. Really cool staff and some good drinks.
This is my local go to wherever I want Asian Fusion and it satisfies everyone in the group. Best dish is the Chilean Sea Bass as always. The favorite in my clan. This visit, I opted for sushi and enjoyed the meal. Portion was satisfying as it was the sushi sashimi combo. Green Tea is great and I liked the Fig and Lychee Martini I got. Great cocktails here every time. Sadly during Covid they are not as busy as before but pre-covid, it was packed! Do patronize your local restaurants if you want them to succeed.
I’ve been to this restaurant several times and have ordered many times as well. Sadly, the quality of food with every order is getting worse but I never bothered to write a review until now. I ordered Singapore thin noodles with vegetables and chicken and broccoli, for appetizer I’ve got chicken satay. Appetizer was burned on the outside, noodles were dry and cold like someone’s left over from yesterday. Vegetables in the noodle were dry and tasteless. Broccoli wasn’t washed properly so I could feel the sand or small rocks in between my teeth. Very disappointed with this order and this isn’t the first time. I’m not going back there and not ordering anything anymore. :(
Food was ok, but saw a huge roach, almost the size of my thumb, running on the carpet by my table. This definitely is going to be my last time there.
The food was average, the best appetizer was their vegetable dumplings and the go to entree was their duck, having said that service was above average
Food is great. Customer service is excellent. You can eat in the restaurant or outside.
Really bad food with no taste. Total waste of money and very disappointed. Never heard Thai red curry having no curry and potatoes. Never going back.
This was a real treat. You get a lot of quality food. Very good choice. Would recommend highly.
YUM...FOOD IS FRESH AND FOOD IS YUM ..MADE TO YOUR DESIRE. ATMOSPHERE IS CALMING.
Horrible!!!
Poor costumer service!!!!
Please donot waste your time and money.
I have been going to wild ginger for so long now..this is our time at this location.
Food was awful..." Red thai curry" was all dry.
When asked for more gravy..2 waiters ignored and said "RVC location is under different management".
I thought Wild Ginger was Wild Ginger.
Poor poor poor food and service!
The place was not even crowded!!
Food was Dry just not tasty
Great Asia food
Service is very slow .Each time I eat their food I like it less and less . Delivery service is faster than fine in
Good for a quick bite. My waiter could try to be a more patient and helpful.
The food here is really good, especially for the price. I've come here on many occasions for lunch and dinner. I usually give the food a 5/5, but yesterday's food was a little subpar compared to the normal. As usual, the entrees were great; however, the appetizers and rolls were not that good. Quite possible they were having am off day, so I still highly recommend.
Great service and great food.
The food is awesome love it nice atmosphere great service
This place used to be excellent. Maybe new management? Food was atrocious. Flat Diet Coke. Wonton soup was cold and tasteless. Edemame was soft and mushy. Sushi was horrible. I hate when sushi places put lettuce in their sushi. The fried whatever was inside the roll was scary to look at. The fried rice was literally white rice with some vegetables. The menus were old, ripped and dirty. The tables were sticky. The floors need a major sanding and re-painting. I’d recommend this place to no one.
I normally don’t eat from restaurants with a rating below 4.6. However, I was in the area and decided to try the General Gso chicken since one commenter said it was the best he’s ever had. My take: BEST GENERAL GSO I’VE EVER HAD!!! The flavors are pure and out of this world. I didn’t experience dine-in and ordered to go. I’ll try sesame chicken next time.
Best Thai and Malaysian food in Great Neck
The crispy duck with pineapple fried rice was delicious! Would definitely recommend it.
Very good service and the food was good.
Love the food. Need more servers. Ok before when not many people ate in person but last night was very busy.
The food here is beyond phenomenal. The service is wonderful and attentive. Will definitely be back. I recommend the pan pan noodles as it was some of the best shrimp I've ever had.
Wasn't to my expectation, food portion was small
Good food , safety precautions are good also
Delicious! Duck was excellent! Service amazing!
Food good, service eh
Great
Sesame Chicken and Singaporean Noodles are great
Food was great and light
Glad to have found a place to sit down and have a nice dinner on a holiday like Christmas day. It was a gift finding it open. Customer distance is being respected. Food was promptly served. Good selection of wines and spirits if you want. Very popular. Phone ringing was off the hook for delivery orders. I had general tso's shrimp which was delicious. Spicy with Peppers so check with server if you don't want spicy. Will come back to try other dishes.
There was a cricket in my chicken lo mein.
Good food and polite service
the food was really excellent. the service was superb. chow fun and the black bean shrimp were incredible. would def come back! good wine and reasonable
Awesome. But pricy
The prices are decent, and the food is astonishing
Agreed
The food is great! We've been going here for many years and it's always great.
We had shrimp in mild mango sauce. The shrimp is jumbo and cooked just right. Portions are good too!
Nice menu, but like some people noted too much grease in noddles and fried rice. Tone it down, please!!! Was much better a few years ago
HORRIBLE! DON'T CHARGE! A $40 LUNCH COULD COST AS MUCH AS $1100! IT HAPPENED TO SOMEONE I LOVE AND CLEANED OUT HER ACCOUNT!
Food is excellent!!!!
Good place. We order food for delivery from there all the time. Usually it takes 15 minutes what is very quick if you hungry. Love that they have our profile with phone number & address what help to make a phone order Easier. But l wish they can remember that we don’t like to have nothing extra like sauces, sticks, forks, cookies 🍪 in our orders. Good place to eat anyway.
